Post about art-theft, AI and tracing of my render:

Unfortunately, one of my renders I made a year ago, was traced, copied, edited by AI by "brothers in arms" store and now sold as a merch aimed towards CoD fandom. They are currently sending this out to various cosplayers asking them to promote it.

As someone who is affected by this, I have to speak up about it.

I found out about it by accident when I saw promoted post on my insta feed. When I started talking about it in my stories, this store sent me a private message saying they had been working on this design for weeks and had never heard of me so they definitely didn't steal anything, and offered me free stuff. When I disagreed with them and sent them files comparing our works, they stopped replying to me, so I continued talking about it again on my insta. Only when my followers started leaving comments under their post saying this is wrong, they decided to continue discussion on the next day.

2. They mentioned that they could have been inspired by some pictures they found on the internet and showed me their "first sketch" of design… which was made by AI.

3. During the conversation, they mentioned that their artist could have based his work on a picture he found on the Internet, but he defended himself by saying that they might not have known it was mine. But even if they didn't know about me, even if they found some fanart on the Internet - it doesn't mean you can copy something detail by detail and sell it as your own. What is most important here, their offer to solve the problem was to give me credits in their design. IF they worked hard on it, why would they want to give me credits? My offer was to remove it.

4. Why do I mention that it could have been done by AI? because many lines are unfinished and a lot of details don't make sense.

5. Below is a comparison of my render that I published on March 18, 2023 with their first sketch they showed me, which apparently they drew themselves:

I am saying this so that the CoD community, which is very large, will be aware of this, because there are many people who have already bought it and after my insta story, they felt bad and said they want return it because they don't want to support art theft.

It's not just about me anymore - it could have happened to anyone who creates fanart and share it on the Internet just for fun. One day someone may use it for their own profit without us being aware of it. It doesn't matter if it's a 3D render or a drawing. All artists in this (or any other) fandom do not deserve to experience such thing, and we need to speak out about it to prevent it from happening in the future.

Reposting fanart is, as this example shows, dangerous and hurtful, so please respect artists and don’t do this. Especially on pinterest.

Their only proposal and offer to give me credits for the work they traced is something I will never agree to.

RE4R photo mode with no distance limit: Burning Laboratory (Part 2/2)

I believe this room was effectively Luis's bedroom, due to the couch and blanket. Most other areas associated with him (his laboratory on the island, the SW plaga research facility) don't have anything suitable for sleeping on, and don't even have blankets anywhere. While there are beds in his childhood home, I think him sleeping there is a lot less likely, due to all the rotting fruit and fish, the holes in the roof, etc. Because of the books in one bed and the mug on the headboard I think it's safe to say he did spend some time in his childhood home and may have even slept there occasionally, but I just can't believe it was where he slept most frequently given the overall state of the house.

Meanwhile the burning laboratory is very obviously a better place to live in, it's structurally sound, no risk of rain coming through the roof, it's clean… you get the point.

↑ Once he reaches the table, he stops moving and stands like that until the player reaches the room (or the timer runs out and he dies…) I found it a little interesting where he stops. Was the medicine in the cabinet behind the couch? Or was it somewhere else he wasn't able to reach so in his panic he just ran as far as he could and gave up at the dead end? (I'm aware the real reason is just that it made sense for him to stop there to wait for the player from a game design perspective, but humor me, I love coming up with in universe explanations for out of universe game design choices, it's more fun.)

Astrology Observations II

Hello!! I came today with another Astrology Observation post. Please enjoy it and don't repost this information in other sites without giving credits to the owner.

1. One of the downsides of having a Capricorn stellium in the natal chart resides in the fact that the native will be prone to be grumpy and criticise the younger generations or people who shows a lack of self control or maturity. Even if they are young too, they will tend to think they know better than the other.

2. One of the mayor signs of insecurities in the natal chart involves hard aspects between Saturn and personal planets (Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars). Those three resalted are, in my opinion, the worse because the Moon relates to the emotions, Mercury involves the way we communicate, and Venus is the way we express love, so having hard aspects of Saturn to these planets will make the native feel like he or she is not good enough. Or what he or she feels, talks or looks is not valued.

2.1. Following this tread, if you have hard aspects to Saturn in the natal chart and Saturn transit your 12th house you could face delays in your proyects due to some limitations that may come from the hidden fears of your subconcious.

3. If you have a composite Lilith in the 10th house, then people will think that you are only in a relationship with the other because of the sex or they won't think it will last long. For some, they will consider you both as a nasty pair. Something similar could be said about Eros in the composite 10th house.

4. Having asteroid Alma in the 5th house composite could indicate one or more lifetimes in which both of you were lovers or had children together. In the first case, there is a chance that the relationship couldn't unfold more in that past life.

5. Having a close conjunction, trine or sextile between Alma asteroid and Moon in synastry could indicate a soulmate relationship in which both will share a telephatic and emotional connection. The Alma person could feel every emotion that the Moon person is experiencing, even at a distance, and the Moon person would look the asteroid person as a source of security and understanding. Unless he or she gets scared by the other reading his or her mind.

5.1 The same can apply to asteroid Alma in another's 4th house. It is a close and emotional connection (there is huge probabilities that both of you come from the same soul tribe) in which you'll understand one another in a deep way.

The Creative Lounge is a Discord community of creators and lovers of different genres, crafts, and talents that, together, foster a positive creative environment.

This isn’t to dunk on you - I just think the way you handled the whole Kataang Week drama could’ve been a lot better and more mature.

1. You should’ve discussed this with dailykataang privately in dms instead of immediately assuming they were trying to steal your work.

2. “They shouldn’t have assumed yes to hosting it,” true, but that’s typically how ship weeks are. You don’t require permission to host on several apps. And nowhere on your blog do you ever state that people must ask permission to host the week on another app.

3. I think you should’ve been more open to new Kataang fans who want to participate on twitter since the community is expanding there. That doesn’t mean creating a separate twitter account for Kataang Week, but maybe giving people permission to host a separate account on twitter?

4. I know you said hosting and participating are two separate things, but the way you worded your sentence and what you said to accounts on there made it seem like they were ok to host it. If you weren’t going to host it on there, how will twitter Kataangers even join in? That only leaves DailyKataang, the main Kataang account, to retweet the content.

TLDR: We aren't and have not been trying to gatekeep to Tumblr. We never have been. We've always encouraged posting elsewhere, but we never discussed anywhere in the rules about hosting it elsewhere without permission. We were never asked for permission to answer your question, and that's the main issue. The problem was not that kw is being promoted outside Tumblr, but that it is being hosted and the wording in the original post by dailykataang on Twitter said and I quote, "kataang week takes place annually on tumblr, hosted by kataang-week since 2013 (not affiliated with dailykataang). this year our account will host & oversee kataang week on twitter. feel free to tag us in your works! 💗"

We appreciate the credit and the link back, as well as the good faith. We realize that this was not done maliciously. However, to us, this is the same as reposting without permission, and it was worded in a way that sounded like we did give permission when this is not the case. For example, if you see an artwork here on Tumblr, it may say something like "reposted with permission from the artist". Reblogging vs Reposting

If you're trying to get someone recognition, then reblog the post or comment on it. You can also share the link so it goes back to the original poster. Likes only bookmark work for yourselves.

Do not repost the work.

Reposting is when you save images or copy work/words & paste them into a new post. This is also known as plagiarism and can be considered a felony. Reposting does nothing for the original poster. Instead, it gives you the credit.

Plagiarizing isn't okay. It doesn't matter if you changed some of the words or not. The story could be 5 words, 20 words, 300 words, or over 1.3k words. You could repost 1 image, 3 images, or a whole blog of images. It doesn't matter. It is still plagiarism.

If you aren't sure about your writing skills, then watch videos. Just write your thoughts and go back to edit them. Do something that isn't plagiarism, please.

Some creators don't mind you using their images as long as you give them credit but do not repost them.

I don't plan to post on Wattpad, so I give you my permission to repost my stories there with proper attribution and a link to my page. Please include a note indicating that the story was written by fredwkong so that readers can find the rest of my stories.

This is not blanket permission to repost my stories. I like interacting with people in the community, and that means that they have to be able to find my stories in a place where I put them. When someone reposts my work without permission, it doesn't feel good, because it means those readers might not find the rest of my writing.

This doesn't mean that I think it's always okay to repost people's work with credit. That's a decision to be made by each individual creator.

I would appreciate if people who did repost my writing provided me with a link to the repost so that I can give it a look. I want more people to read my writing, but I also want them to be able to find me through my writing.
