🏋🏼‍♀️Fitness Friday 🏋🏼‍♀️ Listen, I have no idea what I’m doing half the time. My form is off, I’m not low enough, and so much more of all those things that used to make me too embarrassed to try things at the gym. But my body is AMAZING. It can do, or will at least TRY to do, anything I ask of it. Covered in sweat and a bit of floor dirt, it pushes on. My body isn’t perfect, my technique is far from it too. But I LOVE how moving my body makes me feel. And if I’m not sore the next, I’m a little disappointed. 😅 So if you’re holding yourself back from trying something new at the gym, here’s your sign to DO IT! I could not care less if anyone is watching or judging me. Because I’m doing it to better my self and my health. And if all others can see is the imperfect, that’s their problem. Usually I insist that a workout is either my alone time or my time with other adults. As a mom and teacher, I don’t get much of either. But today it hit me: this is exactly what I want her to see. NSV!!! This was my FAVORITE shirt about two years ago. For the past few months it has been in a stack of clothes I’ve been trying to sell on Facebook. Well, a couple of weeks ago I took it out. Loved this saying in today’s workout video. The only person I’m competing with is myself. Challenging myself with the question “how can I be an even better version of yesterday’s me?” Each day that I make tiny changes or even just the days that I maintain my healthier choices, I am growing.
