Always a happy runner 🤣🤣 In all seriousness, I used to look at a lot of side by sides, before and afters, and want the end result so badly that I’d do anything to get there. The problem though was that I was trying to get to that end result so quickly, I was driving at it with a force that simply wasn’t sustainable. Because the reality was, that getting to this point I’m at now has been a series of tiny little steps, taken incrementally which built to the end result over time rather than one driving force of doing everything at once. I didn’t start working out until I lost the first 100lbs. I didn’t get serious about working out until I lost over 200lbs. I ran my first 5k distance three months AFTER completing the couch to 5k program POST weight loss. My starting run speed was 2.2 on the tread. Change is funny like that - every little effort felt like I wasn’t doing enough, but it added up to more than I could ever have imagined.
