Parranda!

Nothing like parading around playing and singing songs to get in the celebratory spirit, why not join in?

This is the main post for the drawpile for the event! As more participants get added, the canvas can be extended to accommodate everyone.

I'll keep track as best I can for new additions, but if it makes it easier you can also send me a transparent file through dms so I can add it in. This drawpile's final composite will be on January 30th, 5:00 PM EST, so hopefully that's enough time for everyone!

(@asktheoger) Aya narrows her eyes, noticing Agetha in the distance. The young Ogerpon takes a deep breath in, and then-

"HI HIIIIII!!!" The little one yells. "I'M AAYAAAAAAAAAAAA- WHAAAAT'SSSSSS YOUUUURRRRR NAAAAAMEEEEEE???"

Surprised by being so outwardly called out, Agatha stared at Aya for a moment.

The Octorai then dipped down into the black waters, leaving a brief blip of bioluminescence in her disappearance. She hadn’t been expecting anyone to initiate conversation from such a distance- and she preferred not to raise her voice, at least not now. There was no way that no one else on shore wouldn’t be hearing this either.

Agatha quietly floated just below the surface, listening to the ocean and anything else above.

Then a laugh escaped her lips. What a funny little child. She never would’ve dared to do the same when she was much younger, and surely the ogerpon couldn’t see her very well. The mermaid had a mixture of admiration for the little one’s bold approach, and concern for their safety- not all merfolk were friendly.

Lucky for Aya, Agatha had no ill intention.

Agatha felt a tug towards the beach, to potentially have a proper talk with the ogerpon later.

For now, she lingered below the waves for a time. Eventually Agatha resurfaced some distance away, facing the beach once more.

(@asktheoger) Aya @ Dusk and Twilight “AWWWWWW!! Hi hi!!” The young Ogerpon runs up to the Suicune and the little Yveltal. “You’re so cute and small!! I’m Aya! What’s your name???”

Dusk chuckled at the child's enthusiasm, lowering his head to allow Aya and Twilight to better see one another, "She's too young to talk, but this here is Twilight, my daughter. My name is Dusk. It's a pleasure to meet you Aya!"

Twilight blinked at the young ogerpon for a moment before shuffling forward slightly, more on her fathers head and exiting his soft fur. She stretched her neck forward and inspected Aya, snuffing softly as she did. Twilight picked up on the scent of sand and salt, along with a lot of earthy scents. Letting out a soft, pleased chirp, Twilight gently bonked her head against Aya's hand in greeting.

(askthewhiterocket) Wandering near the beach with her Meowstic on her shoulder, Kyo spotted Aya in the process of making her sandcastle and drew her brows together in confusion. She looked around frantically for a moment before drawing closer and bending down near Aya. "Excuse me, little one, but... where are your parents? Are you here by yourself?"

“My dads always say I should be carful and I can’t go down into the villages, but I’ve met so many people and they’ve all been so nice! And there was this fun festival that wasn’t even in a village on the island- so, I went by myself!” Aya explains with pride. “I’m sure they’ll be fine, they won’t even notice I’m gone!”

Meanwhile, back in the mountains….

“KENJI!!”

“I checked Aya’s playhouse!! She’s not there!”

“Wh-what about the rest of the house??? Your workshop?? The garden???” Tomo asks. The Monkedori curled his hands into fists, trying to keep them from shaking.

“Y-yes, and she’s not there!” Kenji sputtered, sweat beading on his forehead and slipping down his cheeks. “I-I’ll go double check- I-“

“I’ll fly around,” Miu spoke up, tone stern. “I’ll ask Ichigo and check all the other places she likes. Don’t worry, she- or whoever is behind this- can’t have gone too far.”

(@asktheoger) Aya @ Wo-Chien "Woah!!! I've never seen a Pokemon like you before!!" The Ogerpon gijinka remarks, looking proud of herself for now knowing what a Pokemon was. “You look so soft and fluffy!! And…also kinda sad. Are you lonely??? I could be your friend!!!”

Wo: (he looked around until he focused on Aya) "M-my name is Wo-Chien.. ..and, if I'm not mistaken, you are another variant of Ogerpon. It's nice to see that there's more than one." (he looked away slightly upon hearing what she said next) "Th-thank you..! I like to keep myself looking as approachable as possible. It..helps to keep me out of strife."

He paused a little before continuing.

Wo: "A-about the loneliness...you're not wrong.. It tends to show up when I'm by myself, and mostly when I'm exploring.."

He starts to become calmer as he continued to talk to Aya.

Wo: "It would be nice to be your friend~ M-may I know your name? It'll make it easier for me to address you."

How do shaymins celebrate christmas?

(@asktheoger) Aya cheerfully runs over to the bar, peaking her head over the counter. "Hi hi!" She greeted the bartender. "I love your hair, it's so pretty!!! It kinda reminds me of my Papa's! Do you have any yummy fruity drinks for me?"

[After a few moments behind the counter, Gabe pulls out a couple of different juices and mixes them before pouring them over ice. He then pours a bright red syrup over the mix, topping it with a Pecha berry.]

I went ahead and mixed up some orange, pineapple, and acerola juices for you. Got the nice color by pouring a fruit punch syrup on top and letting it sit there.

Arguably, making sure I didn't mess up the Pecha berry was the longest thing about it. Thought it would be fun to cut it into a simple mon.

“Hmm I’ll have to be careful though, I don’t want to be kicked out for causing a ruckus,” they laughed as the sat on the tree tops.

(asktheisle) Luxu approached the pair with an excited wave, grinning away.

"Oh!! Are you guild explorers?! My dad's told me about guilds before, what's it like?"

“They had to rescue me a bunch as a kid so I got to see them in action plenty even if I’m not part of them,” Cherry said with a smile, “It was dangerous work for them but they were always so nice to me and they seemed to enjoy their jobs.” She glanced towards Crow prompting him to speak up.

“I only just got in to the guild so I can’t say too much yet,” They said with a shrug, “and it kinda depends what guild you join. Some are more serious and some take on less dangerous tasks. I’ve joined as a scout for the Obsidian guild, they tend to tackle the higher paying but more dangerous jobs. I’m sure it’ll be tough work but I’m basically being paid to treasure hunt so who am I to complain. I just gotta go ahead of everyone and report back the hazards and where everything is.” Crow paused for a moment to think of what else they could say about their short time with the guild. “Oh yeah,” the say with a finger snap, “if you’re ever exploring be prepared to be surprised. It almost never goes the way you expect it. To join my guild I had to do some stupid trial, get a crown from some low level dungeon. Easy right? Nah it ended with me and my partner having to fight a gang boss. Easy fight but still not what I was expecting going in.”

"Oh, hi! It's niceto meetcha, pal! I heard you mentioned youhave some pals. Can you tellme about 'em?"

"Oh, yeah, guess I've been doin' that!" The Lopunny heartily laughed. "It don't hurt to really talk about a bit o' that."

"I wouldn't trade any of my mates there for the world, regardless of how I met any of 'em. I 'specially owe more than t'world to my first mate. For bein' a smaller guy, he's prob the main reason everythin's holdin' together right now. Honestly, I miss 'em, but that's all the more reason to keep trainin' 'til I'm ready."

"Anyways! That's moreso what I'm meanin', sorry if that sounds any sorta scary. They're all good 'mons, promise."

Here we are once again! As done in prior years on @asktheisle , the Magi are available for interactions!

🔱 Agatha has arrived for the Magi Retreat.

She lingers in the waves at a distance, watching festivities begin.

(asktheisle) It was hardly a challenge for Nat to spot the familiar Reshiram stopping for a visit once again. They tried to approach calmly, but it was clear he was bubbling with excitement.

"Maksviah!! It's great to see you again! And you too, Loraifon."

The human remembered how the young one was a bit overwhelmed the last time, being sure to lower his voice in volume to address the Arceus.

"I see you both have your gifts from last time! Also brought along some more company, huh?"

"NAT!" Loraifon cheered at the sight of the human, excitedly stumbling to their hooves and leaning over the edge of his mothers back, eager to greet him.

"Loraifon, careful." Maksviah gently chided, raising a wing to help her child climb down from her back before speaking to Nat, "It's wonderful to see you again! It has been far too long since we've visited. I look forward to this celebration."

Landing on the ground with a little 'thump', Loraifon excitedly zipped around Nat in a happy circle, bonking his head on the humans leg like an affectionate cat before zipping off towards Dawn and Dusk. "Look, look! I have a cousin now!!" he pointed at Dusks head where Twilight peered out with bright, curious eyes.

"My two dear friends have recently become parents." Maksviah explained, "This is the first major celebration they have attended since their egg hatched."

"Hello hello!" Dawn waved a wing, laughing at Loraifons excitement, "I'm Dawn, this is my husband Dusk, and my darling daughter Twilight."

"We look forward to exploring the island and enjoying the festivities." Dusk said with a smile, "Twilight seems enamoured by the seashore."

"I wonder who she got that trait from~"

Stamping little baby hooves, Loraifon declared “Now that I have a new cousin you have to give us free snacks! It’s the law!”

“Haha, we would appreciate it if you told us where to get some for future reference. We’ll pay as needed, no need to worry.”

“THE LAW!!!!”

Wo @ Aya - (he was careful as he went over to her) "I saw you making something out of the sand here. May I see what you're making? I could help you with it too, if you wish."

“I’m making the biggest, pretties, awesomest sand castle in the history of sand castles!!” Aya explains. “It’s getting really big, but I think it could be waaaaaayyyyy bigger!! I’d love more help from someone as big as you!!”

(@asktheoger) Aya shyly approaches the Wo-Chien. "Um...Wo?" The Ogerpon asks, fiddling with her obi. "Could you...um, could you please, um. Maybe take me back home? I....if my dads found out I left the island, I don't think they'd be happy..."

Wo, after finishing preparations with his family, turned his attention towards Aya as she came up to him.

Wo: (after hearing that Aya's parents wouldn't be pleased) "I'll do what I can to get you back to where you reside, Aya. I do hope that your parents understand that, even though you were separated from them for a while, that you didn't go through strife."

He then looked at Oki. After giving him directions to get back to Grasswither(and a sneaky peck on his forehead), Wo focused on Aya.

Wo: "I do have an idea that would keep you out of needless strife should we run into any on our way towards where you reside too. How would you like to be on my back as we go?"
