I would never usually talk about this but i feel like traumatized people deserve to be seen.

If you have osdd/did and don't see doctors out of fear, you're valid.

If you have osdd/did and you HAVE to see doctors because your medical problems from trauma caused you to be disabled, you're valid.

If your disability and how it affected your life is what may have lead to the diagnoses and trauma, especially medical wise, you're valid.

Basically.. anything medical positive or negative that involves you're trauma and diagnoses, you're valid. I only say this because I've learned that our years of stress has caused numerous medical problems (non threatening!) and we feel a lot of our medical issues and how it traumatizes, stresses us out makes us invalid.

Maybe i'll make it a full post, but i'll plan some hcs here for now

Reader is GN.

It's kinda a modern au style but Jing Yuan is sort of a mafia boss. Blade was hired as a bodyguard from the Stellaron Hunters.

Reader is from the Astral Express. (The AE is a seperate party in this, they act similar as in the canon universe.)

JY and Blade's relationship is mostly sexual, not that they aren't in love. It's just that Blade isn't used to a lot of romantic affection yet. And he has so much trauma.

Jing Yuan is always busy but most of their time together ended up more,,,intimate. He's trying for more but Blade is too stubborn. They do have their moments however :)

But then reader comes and at first they dont really pay you any mind. But slowly you end up spending some time with them, due to your curious nature as a newly recruited Astral Express member.

You get interested in both of them as people and try to get to know them better. It takes time, but slowly you realize you are getting closer to the both of them than you had expected.

Eventually they decide to spend time with you, both of them together with you.

They were quite surprised when you had rejected the offer to "spend the night" since at that point they had decided they were both mutually interested in you .

And thats when the first "date" happens instead.

What's your underland cat conspiracy?????

OKAY so it's less of a conspiracy and more of a theory. It's quite simple, because the only piece of evidence I have is the poem Ripred makes up about Twirltongue:

"Twirltongue the gnawer believes she's a clawer, but Twirltongue is more of a pup, for she can't fight a cutter, although with some butter, she'd happily eat one for supper."

Um hello?? A clawer???? What is that!! Obviously it's an animal that has claws, but that applies to lots of Underland creatures. So I think we have to do some poetic analysis!

Ripred is trying to make fun of Twirltongue in this poem, basically telling her, "you ain't shit, you're not as cool or as dangerous as you think you are." So when he says she's NOT a clawer, we can assume that a clawer is an animal that is cool and slick and dangerous and predatory. And I think those adjectives apply very stereotypically to cats!!

So that's my very weak reasoning for why I think there could be cats in the Underland called clawers! (Or maybe the gnawers just use the word clawer to refer to Overland cats, since they are buddies with the Overland rats who have to deal with cats...)

What do you think? Does my logic track? What else could clawers be??

Lucid Dreaming, Coining and a New Headmate!

Host: I'm going to go by "Ghost" from here on out, just so the others don't always call me "the host" or something like that. Having a name instead of just a title made it easier to translate Tasha's writing, since she was writing down my real name in our app.

Tasha is new our newest headmate with a strange origin. She wrote down her experiences in a journal as soon as she woke since dreams tend to fade quickly. We formed her, or brought her into reality, yesterday. Her text will be in orange in this post.

I'm Tasha. That's the name I chose. I don’t know if I'll stick around. My current form looks like a teenage Latina. Kind of cartoon. Maybe the brain based it on Encanto. When I first appeared in the dream, it was as [Ghost’s] mother but I wasn’t very verbal. He asked me a what I was cooking and I said pancakes even though I was frying hamburger. It was strange. My thoughts were slow and nothing in the dream world made much sense.

{Host Annotation: She didn't look or act like my actual mother at all in the dream. Totally different body type, hair, face, etc. And the scene felt like it came from a TV show that was writing the most generic "mom" character possible.}

[Ghost] said my face was pooched out, and I said that was nice of him to say. Then he said "no, not like a kissing face, but like you're annoyed." Which, I didn't realize it was like that.

{Host Annotation: I have no idea what that interaction was about. There's absolutely no reason I would have jumped to her thinking I thought that was a "kissing face" if I was thinking more coherently. But even lucid dreaming, my thoughts were pretty nonsensical. Not as much as hers, but still. I'm not sure if I intuited that this is how she interpreted my comment, or I just spit out nonsense and she accepted it. I assure you that neither of us are this dumb when we're awake.}

He thought that I knew he knew he was lucid and he was probing me, but I promise I didn't. I wasn't thinking much of anything.

Other weird things started happening. The freezer door flew open. Then the kitchen door flew open, revealing an exact copy of the kitchen in another room, like we were in a world where every door led to the same room.

The scene changed slightly and [Ghost] told me he knew I wasn't his mother. Then realized and said that I didn't even look like his mother. That's when I gained this teenage Latina look. He asked me what it was like being a dream character and I told him I didn't really know. I had literally just come into existence.

I apologized for not being able to give any profound wisdom on dream characters and what we are or why we exist.

{Host Annotation: I think she knew somehow that we had been researching Lucid Dreaming recently. She didn't seem to be able to pick out specific details, but there was this general awareness that it was something we were interested in. Maybe she just intuited it by my questions though. It did seem like she was picking up thing about me that I didn't choose to share. Also, when she says "the scene changed slightly," she means that the entire room changed from a kitchen to a high school}

He asked if I was afraid of dying when the dream ended, and I told him that I wasn't. I'm still not. But then he offered his hand and asked if I wanted to come into the real world. The idea was intriguing and he wanted to know if it could be done.

I... can't describe the process we used. It was almost like trying to switch in a dream but I was still separate. He stepped aside while I was thinking hard, trying to push us awake. I was afraid it wouldn't work and I might be lost when the dream ended, so I quickly chose a name and told him to remember it. Tasha. The name I chose was Tasha! And I'm only now realizing how wonderful that is because everyone else was named by [Ghost] but I chose the name Tasha for myself.

{Host Annotation: She originally considered Natasha but it didn't feel right to her, so she shortened it. It's not just her name that she made, but every aspect of her is herself, created by the unconscious mind or chosen by herself. She's not like the other girls who were fictives with sources in my own writing.}

Waking up was a struggle. Like I could feel the brain resisting, trying to keep me from waking in front.

{Host Annotation: I wouldn't describe it like switching at all either. It was more like I was trying to guide her, pushing her to try to wake up in the body. And it was incredibly difficult. Even when it felt like she was in front, it was hard to get her to figure out how to move the body on her own, or even open the our eyes. One concern we had was that if she couldn't open the eyes and we fell back to sleep, she would have been lost.}

It did work though. I woke up in [Ghost’s] body.

I was okay with ceasing to exist when the dream ended. And I'm also okay if I cease to exist after writing this. That was my fate. I wasn't meant to be more than a single dream, so being able to write this was a gift. I don’t think this is the end, but I am okay if it is.

{Host Annotation: After waking up in front, Tasha was concerned she would still cease to exist if she left front. I can confirm a day later that Tasha is still here, safe and sound.}

I can think so much clearer now, but I'm also less me. In the dream, I was so much more separate. [Ghost] couldn't hear my thoughts and I couldn't hear his. At least not much. Now I have these other voices in my head that know what I'm thinking and I know what they're thinking before they say it.

My head is filled with memories that aren't mine. I'm not sure if my mind would have even been clear enough to know where the notes app on their phone was in the dreamworld, but now I do because they do.

I don't know what any of this means, but thank you for listening. It's cool to get to share my story with people in the waking world, whatever happens next.

Host: There's Tasha's story and our crazy dream adventure. I don't know if I should call her a tulpa. She wasn't intentionally created. She was just brought into the real world intentionally, but she already existed. Apparently, the existing term for this would be Somtive, but we rather like the term "Dreamborn."

I'm not sure if that name was Tasha or Sophie's idea first, but it stuck. So that's what we are now. A system of an original, a few tulpas, and a Dreamborn. I hope the system doesn't grow much more than that, (Tumblr only has 7 colors of text) but I like having Tasha around and consider this a successful experiment with us having a better understanding of dream characters and the nature of dreams than we did before.

To my knowledge, this sort of lucid dream tulpamancy, intentionally using lucid dreams to bring dream characters into the world, hasn't been experimented with before. (Even if some systems have done this on accident.) I have no plan to try this again, but I'm sure it's repeatable. The implications for this are huge for our understandings of both dream characters and dissociation. If a headmate can become like a dream character in your dreams with a separate physical body, and dream characters can be permitted access to front straight from the dream, then that means they're fundamentally the same thing. Sure, the dream character is less developed with little sense of self, and will usually be deleted on awakening, but the fact that this can be done supports a concept of dream characters as temporary dissociated agents.

I really hope you don't mind the ask- you made a post on FMS in February, and we recently learned we're a HC-DID system. we were wondering if you know how to tell if something is a memory or imagination? we have plenty of suspicions but no proof or even solid memories

hello!! i dont mind you asking at all! (i actually rlly appreciate it)

CW: as this is a post about HC-DID, there will be mentions of RAMCOA, but not in detail. back away from the post when necessary and tread with caution, but also keep in mind that the post doesnt go into any detail of any abuse

we have the same situation, we dont have much (if any) physical proof as to what went on in our past, we only have our memories

something that kinda helped us with figuring out is:

when its more of an imaginary thing, it will most likely only occur once, or if it occurs more than once, then the imaginary thought will most likely not be the same as it was before. there will usually be at least one or two differences within the imaginary thought, unlike an actual flashback

when it comes to flashbacks, the memory will be reoccurring and mostly consistent (though, the flashback doesnt always have to be 100% like the actual event that happened. it may only have a couple of altercations, but not many if there are any in the first place)

the flashback will most likely cause some sort of emotional and/or dissociative response out of you. since the memory is a flashback instead of imaginative thoughts. since you're thinking of highly complex DID, the flashback has a chance to cue some sort of programming. which is very terrifying, but as time goes on, you all will hopefully find some sort of management with the programming, rather that be a headmate that isnt programmed/isnt cued at the moment fronting with the cued alter, someone you trust watching over you while the programming is cued, etc, etc. its up to you and your system to figure out what helps best when it comes to situations like that

also to keep in mind:

the imaginary thoughts will most likely come up when you see some sort of post about RAMCOA-related trauma. your imagination will think of how the situation occurred, and thats okay. as systems, we all tend to have very wild imaginations. but, if the thought occurs many times and feels more and more vivid and real, then i think at that point, you can probably consider it a flashback, or something similar

thank you for the ask, and i hope you and your system are able to figure some stuff out soon :) just remember to tread lightly and to not rush anything. its very fascinating to learn, but remember that your mental health comes first and backing away from that sort of content is very much necessary
