Sherlock fic rec

I love to troll through the bookmarks of those who jumped into the fandom early. Polyphony often shows up on rec lists for A Goose Quill Dipped in Venom, an AU in which Sherlock is a consulting detective investigating the murder of one John Watson. HIGHLY recommended.

However, the story I'm reccing today is The Iceman Cometh (M), and it's an absolute corker. The characters are pitch perfect, the plot is riveting, and the payoff, after 60k words, is utterly satisfying. Intriguing, wrenching, moving.
