Hello!!! It’s me again :3c  I like to think that the Potion’s Professor and the Herbology's Professor have a close friendship, so I did a drawing of one of the first time where Snape needed some ingredients for his potions as the new Potion Professor (He’s about 21 y/o here)

Minerva: Is the S or C in scent silent?

Filius: Fuck you, I’m going to be thinking about this all day.

Pomona: Okay well, cent is pronounced the same way as scent so I’m gonna say the S is silent.

Minerva: Okay, but sent is also spelled the same way.

Filius: Google says that the C was added in the late seventeenth century, so I guess the S is silent.

Severus: Plot twist, both the S and the C are silent and the E actually makes the sss sound.

Filius: Severus is not allowed to talk anymore.

🌱 Professor Sprout 🌱

Head of Hufflepuff House, she teaches Herbology and she looks like you could have a nice chat with her in the corridors. I like her a lot!

Professor Sprout was super fun to draw, she’s got so much personality and I got to play with her wardrobe a lot. I felt like she’d wear lots of earthy tones, like the plants she works with. Nothing flashy to scare her babies. She’s a tough plant mum, that’s for sure!

I liked seeing the results of the poll I posted where you could guess which teacher I’d draw next. Most of you thought either Madam Pomfrey or Professor Sprout, so I guess a lot of you were right! Give yourselves a round of applause 👏🏻

Isn't it so funny when the colleagues are all talked into a "Professor Snape Costume Contest" without you? Isn't it hilarious how everyone has the exact same brilliant idea for the "Professor Snape Costume Contest"? Severus needed to find a way to wipe that smug grin and ugly mustache off of Remus Lupin's face and to wipe his own memory of Albus- who had a sufficient height advantage to make things even more awkward- in that uncomfortably embellished Bat-suit

(Okay, yes, Batman and Robin with George Clooney came out in 1997, but PoA is the time travel book so let's just hand wave temporal anomalies away)

Minvember Day 1 - Self delusion

She hummed contently. She put the teapot down on the table, watched for a moment as the steam went up towards the ceiling and disappeared, then resumed her humming, a bit louder. She brought over a plate of biscuits, lemon-flavoured, then three tea cups. The chipped one she placed in front of her seat.

Then she took a step back, dusted her robes, picked a book, and sat comfortably.

And so she waited, humming still. The steam swirled and swirled over her head.

Slowly, the staff room's door opened. Minerva lifted her head: Pomona entered, followed closely by Poppy. The two women stopped, looking down at the table and then at their colleague.

"Good evening", Minerva greeted cheerfully, before returning to her book.

Pomona sighed. With caution, Poppy approached and sat in the armchair opposite to her, the one that had been, for many years, the preferred seat of the headmaster. Minerva made a slight movement of friendly protest.

"I know it is Friday night, Minerva", the nurse said apologetically. "I know Albus, Severus and yourself have tea every Friday night at 6. Is that right?"

Her colleague frowned. She put down her book, but did not reply.

"Minerva." Poppy spoke again, with more authority this time, and great softness. "Minerva. You know they are not coming back, right?"

Minerva blinked twice. Suddenly her gaze, which had wandered around the room with a dream-like air, became sharper, more cognisant; her book fell from her lap; she looked around her in utter dismay.

A strangled sound escaped her throat.

Idea that I fully believe in even though I have zero evidence to support it, is that Hogwarts teachers were huge gossips (especially McGonagall and Flitwick) when it came to students’ lives.

Minerva; “What the feck is that?”

Pomona; “It’s a baby.”

Minerva; “I know it’s a feckin’ baby, what’s it doing here?”

It's that time of the year again when you don't know whether to read the course materials or stalk your new professors online to see what they're like before you meet them in person so here's what I think we'd find if we stalked the Hogwarts teachers (of course, in an alternate modern reality where they had social media and internet that worked near magic). More under the cut:

Albus Dumbledore - the classic profile of a headmaster; lots of bragging about his school's results, not much about him personally; his Facebook profile picture is him with a Facebook Banner that says "Draco Dormiens Nunquam Titillandus"

Minerva Mcgonagall - her profile picture is a cat but just a few know that it's actually her in her animagus form; she mostly shares cozy posts and quotes that make her feel inspired that day

Filius Flitwick - he doesn't have a profile pic; in fact he doesn't post or shares anything, his social media profiles are strictly for communication purposes

Severus Snape - this man is a ghost, on purpose; at the first glance he's just another boomer with no concept of social media whatsoever but what you don't know is that he's lurking on other platforms using his favourite username @/thehalfbloodprince; if you knew where to look for him, you'd find him on reddit where he keeps himself informed and where he gets to vent by commenting on morronic outtakes; otherwise his only "official" platform he's on is LinkedIn but with no profile pic, obviously

Rubeus Hagrid - his profile pic is him and Buckbeak; lots of content about magical creatures; he doesn't actually post about it, he just shares those posts

Pomona Sprout - her profiles are filled with the plants she grows; even her profile pic is one depicting a screaming mandrake; she thought it looked cute

And that's on the regular Hogwarts professors. Now a special mention to Lucius Malfoy who has an Instagram profile aesthetically pleasing and color coordinated. This man dresses for the camera so there are lots of pictures with him and other people; his posts are also like travel journal logs, pay attention to them and you'll be able to figure out his next event.

Also Narcissa keeps a pretty minimalist but cute Instagram profile, also color coordinated like her husband's (she actually taught him that). She's really proud of Draco so there are mostly pictures with the two of them or faceless pictures of things that she found aesthetically pleasing.
