Tumblr media
#that song has one of the most powerful ending crescendo sequences ive heard in maybe all of musical theater#so it. always felt incomplete after ALL that buildup during the I AM THE INFAMOOOUS#only to just drop to SILENCE. no music. no fanfare. just ODYSSEUS!#he doesnt even really sing it he just sort of... shouts it#and then its followed by the faintest sound of ocean waves#its poseidon. listening. THATS why athena said DONT#poseidon heard that declaration and came back to get him later#😬#i just looked up the lyrics for ruthlessness too and poseidon basically spells it out 😂#ive only listened to that song once or twice tho and i guess i wasnt too focused on the words#anyway i relistened to the songs on friday and theyve been rotating in my mind like a 7/11 hotdog#the whole cyclops saga especially is just.... so so good#they truly dont make music about bashing peoples heads in like they used to#the first 3 songs of the saga especially... oof#how they blend one into the other back to back and end up making like a 10 minute narration of events#the whole thing is so bone chilling#it gets my heartrate up lol#PLUS the theme of pain and vengeance bring more pain#EVERY time polyphemus says 'what gives you a right to deal a pain so deep'#and when odysseus says 'what good would killing do when mercy is a skill more of the world could learn to use'#rocking back and forth sobbing crying#remember them the next time that you DARE choose not to spare! remember them... remember us... remember me!#cant wait for everyone to turn their back on this musical in 5 yrs#like they did with hamilto.n#hamilto.n never stopped being good actually#yall are just embarrassed about being weird fanatics over people who rly existed

Hi can i request buddha meeting with the valkyrie's like Göll, Brunhilde, and such for the first time and his reaction to meeting them. If possible please
+ Buddha - chan +
Tumblr media
"The only one who can push me around, in all heaven and earth, is me. "
Buddha is newly hailed as a god, no scratch that, perhaps in the mortal realm it's been 1000 years, but time is inconceivable for the Gods after all. Its nothing but simple, meaningless numbers.
And now, a thousand years had passed and he's now sitting with the other deities in the ever familiar council of The Valhalla Parliament Building.
"Send them the plague!"
"Show no mercy!"
"Kill half of humanity!"
THUMP.
A loud and almost thunderous sound echoed through out the meeting room, silencing all gods. It was Zeus, all in his old, wrinkly form.
"HeHehe," The Father of the Known Greek Gods laughed, scratching his beard, "Kill humanity eh?" Zeus said, pretending to think.
Buddha tensed beside, closing his eyes. Somehow, these gods disgusts him.
"Poseidon, what do you say, HeHehe." Zeus turned to his brother.
The stoic God of the Sea did not even respond, instead looking boredly at his own feet. Deeming everything around him as dirt.
What an arrogant bastard.
"Oi, Buddha," Shiva, said beside him, lazily putting his upper two arms above his head, "You're getting riled up, huh." The Hindu god smirked.
Buddha glared at him, "Don't put me in the likes of you, Shiva."
"You cocky basta-"
Tumblr media
"May I interject my Lords?"
Buddha and Shiva both whipped their heads to the sound. A clear feminine voice cut through the noise of the Gods.
Buddha saw them, 13 in total. And their aura is not as powerful as gods, but not weak like humans.
"I, Brunhilde," it was a beautiful woman with flowing midnight blue hair that reaches her waist. Her hair is pinned back on the side with a wing shaped hair pin. "Testify that we should not eradicate humanity."
Buddha crossed his arms, he knows who they are, as Shiva let out a grumble.
"We Valkyries, agreed to guide mighty souls in Valhalla." Reginleif, a small petite woman with a Bob cut said, her glasses frames her small face.
"Uhm... I agree.." A meek voice said, it was a pretty woman named Hrist.
"My Lords, it is only the mortal date of 1345, sending a plague during the middle ages, is surely not wise." Randgriz said, appearing beside Brunhilde.
Zeus frowned, "Eh you think so?"
"Yes!" Þrúðr said, a strong muscular woman crossed her big arms, towering over the little gods.
"I, the beautiful Hlökk, agrees with my sisters." A petite woman in pink said.
"Uh, uhm Yes! I agree!" Göll stammered, as long as she's with her sisters she's ok. The rest of the Valkyries, 6 of them all nodded their heads.
Buddha turned to look at Zeus, huh, seems like the old man is considering. Judging by him caressing his beard.
"Hmmm? Should I listen or not..."
Zeus raised his hand, who's holding a gavel of divine judgement.
Buddha looked at him tensely.
"All right! God's will not send a plague in the year 1345." Then he hit the wooden plaque.
Buddha almost sighed in relief, gods should never meddle with human affairs.
"Tch," Shiva said, "How boring."
"But it doesn't mean we can't send one in 1346! We will send the Black Death by then! "
The roars of the god in agreement filled the parliament with cheers and applause.
"Hail the mighty gods!"
And that is how Buddha came to despise Zeus.
Tumblr media
A while later after the uncouth declaration of Zeus, did Buddha found Brunhilde. Popping a sweet candy in his mouth, he approached the Valkyrie sitting in the garden.
The oldest Valkyrie stood up, "My lord Buddha-"
"Buddha - chan is fine."
Brunhilde widen her eyes, "Pardon?"
"You heard me," Buddha grinned, his fangs glistening. "I will call you Bryn - chan from now on."
Brunhilde smiled, "All right Buddha - chan, then what do you need from me?"
Buddha's grin got wider, "Someday, I'll help you save humanity."
And with that, the god of enlightenment left.

I think Amphitrite is honestly an underrated goddess/ immortal.
I mean she’s Poseidon’s wife - i thought there would be more talk about her.
In order to change that i put this together to educate people about her.
I like the fact she never gets jealous of Poseidon’s cheating. I mean she is constantly getting cheated on but she seems pretty chill (she represents the calm seas so that may have something to do with it) and she even helps Poseidon’s kids (like Theseus.)
I like her lol
(Lowkey feel like she was done dirty in Percy Jackson. Literally the only representation and shes jealous and spiteful oof.)
Biography
Parents : Oceanus and Thetis or Nereus and Doris.
Greek : Amphitrite (Meaning - The Surrounding Third/Sea)
Roman : Salacia (Meaning - The Salty One)
Amphitrite was essentially the Primadorial goddess Thalassa (the sea) the female personification of the seas.
[Whereas Poseidon was essentially the Primadorial god Pontus - the male personfication of the seas]
Amphitrite is said to counter Poseidon as Poseidon represents the salty, uncontrollable seas (see - Poseidons wrath in myth for symbolic terms of this) whilst Amphitrite is said to represent the calm ocean’s (see - she isn’t wrathful like Hera towards Poseidon’s bastards, she understands the kids can’t help being the child of their father - she also doesn’t get involved in olympian affairs as much as she could.)
Amphitrite was often depicted in the artistic decorations of Poseidon's temples. Presumably she was honoured alongside the god.
Her children include her son Triton and her daughters Rhode, Benthesikme and Kymopoleia.
Poseidon (Her marriage)
Nereid Amphitrite gained the attention of Poseidon for her blue, dark eyes and beauty (some say it was her fiery personality that drew him in.)
However, Amphitrite knew full well what Poseidon’s advances meant and fled and so the Nereid hid herself away near Atlas, east of the Mediterranean.
Her disappearance only caused Poseidon to become more infatuated eith marrying her. And so he sent sea creatures to find her.
Delphin came across her and persuaded her to marry Poseidon, reluctantly she returned and they were wed.
Poseidon was so thankful he placed Delphin in the stars.
Theseus (Amphitrite with bastard kids of Poseidon.)
Amphitrite is a direct contrast with Hera - she does not go after the women her husband bed, nor does she go after his children.
In the case of Theseus : Minos doubted his parentage. He titled Theseus a liar, declaring him no son of the sea/ Poseidon.
Minos threw his ring into the ocean, told Theseus to get it to prove he was a child of Poseidon.
Amphitrite heard of the challenge, and when Theseus went to return the ring - she gifted him her crown and claimed him as her son in order to prove he was a son of Poseidon.
There’s also no myth of Amphitrite never going after Poseidon’s women.
Small Fun Fact
When Leto gave birth due to Poseidon granting her passage or to her sister Asteria’s intervention and help, Amphitrite helped her.
Evidence I Used
AMPHITRI′TE (Amphitritê), according to Hesiod (Theog. 243) and Apollodorus
(i. 2. § 7) a Nereid, though in other places Apollodorus (i. 2. § 2, i. 4. § 6) calls her an Oceanid. She is represented as the wife of Poseidon and the goddess of the sea (the Mediterranean), and she is therefore a kind of female Poseidon. In the Homeric poems she does not occur as a goddess, and Amphitrite is merely the name of the sea. The most ancient passages in which she occurs as a real goddess is that of Hesiod above referred to and the Homeric hymn on the Delian Apollo (94), where she is represented as having been present at the birth of Apollo. When Poseidon sued for her hand, she fled to Atlas, but her lover sent spies after her, and among them one Delphinus, who brought about the marriage between her and Poseidon, and the grateful god rewarded his service by placing him among the stars.
(Tzetz. ad Lycoph. 45, 649.) She became by Poseidon the mother of Triton, Rhode, or Rhodos, and Benthesicyme.
(Hesiod. Theog. 930, &c.; Apollod. i. 4. § 6; iii. 15. § 4.) Later poets regard Amphitrite as the goddess of the sea in general, or the ocean. (Eurip. Cycl. 702; Ov. Met. i. 14.) Amphitrite was frequently represented in ancient works of art; her figure resembled that of Aphrodite, but she was usually distinguished from her by a sort of net which kept her hair together, and by the claws of a crab on her forehead. She was sometimes represented as riding on marine animals, and sometimes as drawn by them. The temple of Poseidon on the Corinthian isthmus contained a statue of Amphitrite
(Paus. ii. 1. § 7), and her figure appeared among the relief ornaments of the temple of Apollo at Amyclae (iii. 19. § 4). on the throne of the Olympian Zeus, and in other places. (v. 2. § 3, comp. i. 17. § 3, v. 26. § 2.) We still possess a considerable number of representations of Amphitrite. A colossal statue of her exists in the Villa Albani, and she frequently appears on coins of Syracuse. The most beautiful specimen extant is that on the arch of Augustus at Rimini.
Halosydne (Halosudnê), that is, “the seafed,” or the sea born goddess, occurs as a surname of Amphitrite and Thetys. (Hom. Od. iv. 404, Il. xx. 207.)
Theseus
Pausanias, Description of Greece 1. 17. 3 (trans. Jones) (Greek travelogue C2nd A.D.) :
“[Minos king of Krete (Crete)] hurled insults at him [Theseus] and denied that he was a son of Poseidon, since he could not recover for him the signet-ring, which he happened to be wearing, if he threw it into the sea. With these words Minos it is said to have thrown the ring, but they say that Theseus came up from the sea with that ring and also with a gold crown that Amphitrite had given him.”
Pseudo-Hyginus, Astronomica 2. 5 (trans. Grant) (Roman mythographer C2nd A.D.) :
“Minos is said to have drawn a gold ring from his finger and cast it into the sea. He bade Theseus bring it back, if he wanted him to believe he was a son of Neptunus [Poseidon] . . . Theseus, without any invoking of his father or obligation of an oath, cast himself into the sea. And at once a great swarm of dolphins, tumbling forward over the sea, led him through gently swelling waves to the Nereides. Say that the crown came from the wife [Amphitrite] of Neptunus, and Theseus is said to have given it to Ariadne as a gift, when on account of his valor and courage she was given to him in marriage.”
Pseudo-Hyginus, Astronomica 2. 17 (trans. Grant) (Roman mythographer C2nd A.D.) :
“Constellation Delphin. Eratosthenes [Hellenistic poet C3rd B.C.] and others give the following reason for the dolphin’s being among the stars. Amphitrite, when Neptunus [Poseidon] desired to wed her and she preferred to keep her virginity, fled to Atlas. Neptunus sent many to seek her out, among them a certain Delphin, who, in his wandering s among the islands, came at last to the maiden, persuaded her to marry Neptunus, and himself took charge of the wedding. In return for this service, Neptunus put the form of a dolphin among the constellations.”
Amphitrite’s Marriage
Virgil, Georgics 1. 29 ff (trans. Fairclough) (Roman bucolic C1st B.C.) :
“You [Caesar praised as if he were Neptunus (Poseidon)] come as god of the boundless sea and sailors worship your deity alone, while farthest Thule owns your lordship and Tethys with the dowry of all her waves buys you to wed her daughter [Amphitrite].”
Oppian, Halieutica 1. 38 ff (trans. Mair) (Greek poet C3rd A.D.) :
“The Dophins : Poseidon loves them exceedingly, inasmuch as when he was seeking Amphitrite the dark-eyed daughter of Nereus who fled from his embraces, Delphines (the Dolphins) marked her hiding in the halls of Okeanos (Oceanus) and told Poseidon; and the god of the dark hair straightway carried off the maiden. Her he made his bride, queen of the sea, and for their tidings he commended his kindly attendants and bestowed on them exceeding honour for their portion.”
Helping Leto
Homeric Hymn 3 to Delian Apollo 89 ff (trans. Evelyn-White) (Greek epic C7th - 4th B.C.) :
"Leto [on the island of Delos] was racked nine days and nine nights with pangs beyond wont. And there were with her all the chiefest of the goddesses, Dione and Rheia and Ikhnaie (Ichnaea) and Themis and loud-moaning Amphitrite and the other deathless goddesses. Then the child leaped forth to the light, and all the goddesses raised a cry. Straightway, great Phoibos (Phoebus) [Apollon], the goddesses washed you purely and cleanly with sweet water, and swathed you in a white garment of fine texture, new-woven, and fastened a golden band about you."

ON THE SURFACE (Benn x OC)
(cross posted on archiveofourown.org)
Chapter 1: Bond
“So, you’re finally finishing your studies, uh?” asked the red haired boy to the other guy, who was slightly taller and muscular than him. Said man looked at him, then shook his head with a discreet smile
“Unfortunately no, Shanks-“ Ben began, while he lighted a cigarette, looking at his younger friend, whom he considered as his little brother. They had known each other for more than a decade, ever since Shanks moved in his neighbourhood as a little boy with his parents. Ben was asked to look after him, since he was little and troublemaker. He was sceptical at first, but after spending some time together he grew affectionate of him, to the point they formed a fraternal bond.
“I’d like to get a doctorate in business, even if it takes lot of time and efforts,” Ben admitted, grinning around his cigarette.
“You aim high, as usual,” Shanks added, smiling softly. “And this is what I’ve always admired of you.”
Ben smiled at that, and ruffled his messy red hair lovingly.
“You should get an haircut though,” Shanks said suddenly, staring at Ben’s long wavy black hair, which were tied in a low ponytail, with a rebel strand that always hung on the left side of his face.
“Shut up.” Ben deadpanned.
-
Later in the afternoon, Ben was alone in a small park, studying for final exams. Usually no one came here, as there was no playground for the children, especially in earlier afternoon hours. There was absolute silence, and Ben was enjoying the calmness of the place. He then decided to go somewhere and eat something, and decided to take a shortcut, since San Francisco is full of them. He then heard loud voices coming from a small side street, and he got curious as he heard the tones of said voices getting more and more aggressive.
He then noticed a girl around his age standing fearless in front of three slightly older and towering men, whom had an ugly grin on their faces.
They made fun of her, called her names and overall humiliated her, but she was standing still and fiercely in front of them. That made the ‘men’ angry, and they started threatening her and even dared to raise their hands to her.
Ben went ballistic and started walking towards them. The girl knew how to defend herself, clearly she had learned martial arts in self-defence. She successfully knocked out two of the men, but Ben got alarmed when he saw the only man standing, perhaps the most dangerous one, holding a dagger behind his back, out from the girl’s sight.
He put himself between the two dangerously staring at the man in front of him. He was a bit taller than him, but less muscular and nevertheless coward. Ben spit his cigarette on the ground, before he fully faced him.
“You know,” Ben began, cracking a grin that was full of disgust and pity for this ‘man’, as the latter spat on him. “I don’t know what’s more gutless: the fact that three of you were against a single girl or that you’re hiding a fucking dagger behind your back.” He concluded calmly, as he felt the woman tense behind him. He didn’t want to startle her more than she already was.
“You are the classic man all hat and no cattle, aren’t you? It won’t take me much time to stab you dead. And don’t worry, that whore behind your back will pay the same price.”
Ben rolled his eyes, before crossing his arms. “If I were all hat and no cattle, as you say, I wouldn’t have joined the army years ago.”
The other man hadn’t wasted further time and he attacked as fast and as powerfully as he could, aiming at Ben’s stomach. But he was stopped in place by his hand and, after waiting a few seconds, Ben twisted the man’s arm behind his back, and brought him to his knees before declaring: “Next time think twice before going up against someone!” And with a punch he knocked him out and then kicked him on the stomach, making him roll without consciousness towards his companions.
Ben sighed before turning to the woman, whose face colour was still drained. His hard expression softened after seeing her so distraught, so he put his hands on her shoulder and shook her gently. “Hey! Everything is alright now. Are you hurt?” he asked calmly, even though he was overall worried. She looked at him more serene than before, the sweet curls of her golden blonde hair falling sweetly all the way towards her back, making her appear as an angel in his eyes. She then cleared her voice and asked confidently: “What’s your name?”
“Ben, Ben Beckman, and yours?” he asked, looking right in her eyes. “Sophie, Sophie Harper.”
“Well Sophie, I suggest calling the police, and get rid of them once for all,” he mused, and she nodded in agreement.
-
They were finally released in the evening, as the three men were officially arrested. Even though the woman at his side was confident and powerful, both physically and mentally as he had witnessed in the afternoon, he could have sworn that she was still upset. And cold, as she was holding her shoulders with both hands and was trembling. Despite this, her expression was still firm, and at the same time gentle.
Ben didn’t say a word as he took off his black jacket and put it gently over her shoulder. She looked up at him in surprise (as he was very tall, and her head could only reach the base of his neck) but didn’t protest, and just muttered a grateful thank you. She felt guilty though, as remained only with his black t-shirt, whereas she had a warm black sweater and a white miniskirt (and she’d damned herself for this choice, since she knew the temperatures would have dropped).
She wanted to give back his jacket, when she heard his stomach grumbling. She laughed heartily, and he was a little embarrassed but still didn’t budge. “I’ve only had breakfast and you know, today has been busy and yeah, I’m hungry.” He joked drily, still finding amusing how ridiculously his jacket looked on her. Still he found her cute.
“Well, I know a pub that is nearby, we could go there and eat and drink something. My treat,” before Ben opened his mouth to protest, she patted his shoulder “you need to grow up, big boy.”
-
“You know what’s curious about you?” Sophie started, as she tied her hair in a knot, “your hair. I mean, it’s so long and beautiful. You can keep it better than I can do with mine. That’s not fair” she puffed jokingly, while taking a sip of her beer. She still had his jacket nearby, it smelled of cigarettes, sea and cologne, smell that she couldn’t forget easily.
He puffed the smoke of his cigarette out, his smile curving around it. “Actually it’s a family secret,” he deadpanned, before adding “my father too has long hair, although his is straight.”
She nodded amusedly, and at the same time couldn’t help but stare at his eyes. Their colour is similar to deer’s, a deep dark brown, a lighter shade of brown lining the edges within an luminescent glow, and they are sharp, full of intelligence and wisdom.
They then started a conversation as they decided to get to know each other better. He told her about his aspirations in the future, whereas she told him she decided to improve her passion and become a professional photographer. She even confessed that she dropped her lawyer studies to do so, much to her family’s disappointment. “I’ve already found someone that pays me for my photographs, and I’ve been asked to take some pictures of the Grandline University, and also to write something about it.”
He looked at her in surprise, as he told her that he was studying there, and was willing to help her. She looked so grateful, knowing that she could have worked with someone she liked. But then her expression became somber as she was staring at the scars in his arms, as they looked old but still painful. She then remembered that he was once part of the army, so she already knew the answer. But she was a stranger to him, to that broad shouldered man that looked so intimidating and yet had a calm and gentle attitude (with her, because she remembered how threatening and dangerous he was with her attacker.)
They continued their conversation, both spoke about their families, but didn’t spend more than a few words about them, both willing to not go into details. Sophie then paid and put herself on his jacket, and they made their way to her apartment. It was late and wanted to invite him inside, but then she thought it was inappropriate to invite a stranger this way. Yet.
She gave him back the jacket, and hugged him as a thank you. He returned it back, and went back to his own flat.
-
The day after they met in a café and had breakfast together, both happy to see each other again, with Ben constantly eyeing Sophie’s professional camera. The 24 years-old girl, she is younger than him by just one year, told him it was her mother’s gift, as she was the only one that backed her decision to fulfil her dream.
They then set out and went to the University. Sophie photographed all the buildings in various perspectives, while Ben told her everything he knew, but at some point she noticed a fountain, exactly at the centre of the compound. It represents a statue of a mermaid, perhaps a princess, and she was quite sure it was made of marble. Ben quirked an eyebrow at her bewilderment, and provided her an explanation. “It’s Shirahoshi, a legendary mermaid. She was also a princess, but what made her even more peculiar was her power. She was said to be the incarnation of the Ancient Weapon Poseidon, but nothing more is known about her. We are talking about something that might have existed more than 1 million years ago, nor is known the real power of this Ancient Weapon.”
She nodded interested, while taking some pictures, and mentally promised that she would write something down about this mermaid.
As the day went by, she noticed how much fast the time has passed, as she was fascinated by Ben’s way of talking and explaining. She couldn’t have imagined a better way of working. A very pleasant company and a large variety of stories and places.
Even Ben was comfortable around her, as she was a quiet presence, except for some pleasant joke every now and then, and a very good and curious listener. He thought that they really had a good chemistry, no one interrupted the other and they were attracted to one another.
When Shanks saw them together, during his date with another girl, he thought that his friend finally found someone that truly made him happy. And he wanted to celebrate, also because he himself had a great girl by his side. Her name was Makino and to him she appeared as beautiful as a mermaid, and nevertheless a kind presence.
-
Some months have passed by, and Ben finally decided to take Sophie out for a date. They went to the same pub they went when they first met. But this time the ending was different.
He took her home to his own flat, which had a double bed, and of course he did spring cleaned. He always claimed he didn’t have enough time to clean everything, but as a matter of fact he was a messy person.
He went to the kitchen and started preparing some tea, whereas she looked around the walls. There were lots of photos, him with his parents, with his friends and a photo of him dressed in his military uniform. He had slight short hair, his muscular chest and arms were well visible beneath his clothing, and he was briefly smiling at the camera. Beside him was Shanks, his friend she got to know, in his civilian clothes and unmissable straw hat.
“Tea is ready,” he announced, with an unlit cigarette in his mouth and a tray in his hands. He saw her poking around, and couldn’t help but smiling. Especially when he saw her spotting a photo taken during his military service. “That was not a nice time,” he said quietly, images of that period flashing in front of him. She turned around, but she didn’t have that look of pity he hated so much. Her expression was soft and sympathetic. “You want to…talk about it?” She questioned quietly. “Sure.”
He was pouring tea in her mug, then looked into her beautiful seafoam green eyes and started talking. “As you might have understood, I’ve been part of the army for a period of my life. To be precise, I was 19 at the time and I’ve wanted to follow in my parents’ footstep. They both were part of the army, both were important pillars of it. I… didn’t want to be any less.” he took a sip of his tea, whereas Sophie was trying to grasp every information he was giving her, holding her breath and waiting for the worse to come.
“And so I signed up, after I graduated high school. I was quite good at it actually, and that’s because my father insisted on training me when I was younger. And everyone knew me, Beckman isn’t exactly an unknown last name in this field. And this is what almost killed me,” he took a pause, while she gulped, eyes getting even wider, as she silently got closer to his, holding his hand. “It was during a mission, I had to save a friend of mine, but I wasn’t careful enough, and the opposing army took me as an hostage.”
He took a deep breath, and he looked at her in the eyes, deer brown meeting green seafoam. He brushed a strand of blonde hair off her face, and then continued: “It was a great opportunity for them, they sent photos to my parents, and even videos of my torture, but… I still refused to tell them the things they pretended to know from me. But I had to pay the price for that as you can see. They split open my left forearm, and even marked my right forearm with a cross. My face, chest and legs were full of bruises and my nose was broken.”
He then pinched his nose to calm himself, before ending with: “I thought I was deemed to die, since they even shot me in the shoulder and thigh, but I was saved by my friends. They successfully tracked me down, and defeated our enemies. They found me tied in a chair with a rope, beaten up but alive. We won, and I didn’t give up until the end. That was my victory,” he whispered, smiling briefly at Sophie, whom had tears in her eyes. “My parents were of course distraught by all of this, and I told them that I wanted to go to university. And now I want to get a doctorate in business. They were of course relieved, and I’ve hugged both of them the tightest way I could, like when I was a child.”
She hugged him, crying in his arms. Ben took her face in his hands, wiped her tears from her face and kissed her lightly. They both were in each other arms, comforted by their own closeness. He then lift her up in his arms gently, and brought her in his bedroom. He gently laid her in his bed and his gaze focused in her clothes. Her wardrobe was always so colourful, kissed by the rainbow, and he especially liked her short sleeved sweater coloured of a rich yellow. They took off their clothes, he put on a condom and passion overwhelmed them.
Making love with him was the sweetest thing she ever experienced. His rough hands were delicate on her body, the kisses they shared were soft and wet. It was her first time, and she did it with a great man.
-
7 Years later
Ben was humming a song while he was preparing dinner for him and his fiancée. Sophie told him she had something to do, but he didn’t know what.
He just came home from work, and was pretty happy since he got promoted and his salary was increased.
“Hey Benny?” called out Sophie, putting on her slippers. She had a very big smile and was blushing a little. He came out of the kitchen with his blue kitchen apron and his hair tied in a low knot. She laughed softly at his appearance and hugged him briefly.
“Why are smiling this way?” he asked, amused despite himself.
Without any warns, she took his hand and put it on her belly, that was a little rounder than usual, and said: “Our baby is in there.”
He was shocked and became a little paler, then he covered his mouth with his hands and supressed the tears welling up in his eyes. He regained his calm attitude and he smiled, while he hugged his fiancée.
-
8 months later
The 33 years-old man was pacing around the waiting room. Shanks himself was nervous, so it didn’t really help him. The red haired man was becoming an uncle!
Ben was in great turmoil, and he was even shaking. His baby girl didn’t want to come out, and his fiancée had been in the delivery room for almost one full day. His parents and Shanks tried to calm him down, but without success. He also received various calls from Sophie’s parents, since they couldn’t come because of the weather., and that didn’t help his anxiety.
The midwife told him that Sophie needed a caesarean section, otherwise she and the baby would have been in even more life threatening. He nodded and sat down on his chair, Shanks put his only hand on his shoulder, to give the man some comfort. Ben was fighting back tears, and looked at his side, where he had located a teddy bear and chocolates. It was the 14th February, it was Valentine’s day.
Time passed slowly, and he was getting even more desperate, he felt a terrible headache and was paler that usual. He was about to go out and lit another cigarette, when he heard a baby cry, and he felt the floor crumble beneath him. He looked at the delivery room and Shanks got closer to him, offering him fraternal support.
He waited now with more hope, until a nurse brought him inside. His Sophie was lying exhausted, she looked paler and had horrendous dark circles, and was panting, her hand holding her chest. “Don’t worry, she’ll be fine. Wait there, I’ll bring you your baby,” said the nurse with an understanding smile. He muttered a thank you and sat down near Sophie, stroking gently her sweaty hair.
“Hey, everything is fine now,” she said, once she saw his anxious and worried expression. She even smiled softly when she saw the teddy bear in his arms. Their eyes brightened when they saw the midwife coming with the cleaned and swaddled child. The baby girl was sleeping, and when she was handled to her mother she started fussing, cuddling even nearer to her. Ben stroked gently her head, and was surprised to see that much hair she inherited from him.
Lara was the name they chose, and with her birth she crowned their bond.

#Mustang Ride Series: Part I - Part II - Part III - Part IV - Part V - Part VI - Part VII - Part VIII - Part IX - Part X - Part XI - Part XII - Part XIII (WIP) -------------------------------------------------------
"How?" You whispered as Jeffrey walked around your bed. He smiled with a hint of pride and malice in her eyes and you felt a cold shiver down your spine.
"It took me a while, you know, finding you." He took a seat on a chair that stood in the corner of the room and made himself comfortable.
For a moment, the panic you started to feel around Jeffrey was replaced with anger. You remembered him from your younger years and the way he used to be didn't seem to have changed at all. He had always been annoying, believing himself the king of the playground, finding some sort of delight preying on other kids he had considered weaker than him. This time, however, the anger came from something more, the suspicion that he had been the reason you were there, trapped and chained.
"How?" You repeated.
"You remember that day in the woods, don't you? I had never seen someone do what you did that day and, I admit, you left quite an impression on me. It was the first time I ever felt truly...terrified." He placed his elbows on his knees and leaned his head towards you.
That last day of school before winter break came again to your mind. The late afternoon when Jeffrey and his friends had put their hands on you and dragged you into the forest. The useless screams that came from your mouth, the pointless fight you had tried to put against them, the monster they had forced you to become.
"But no one believed a word of what I had seen. You had disappeared after that day and I had no further evidence to proof what monster you were." His eyes reflected nothing but resentment as he looked at you. "I was the fucking boy who cried wolf."
"If that's all you wanted, hunting me, why am I here?"
"Well, things are a bit more complicated than that now, considering this is the second time I had to go after you." The corner of his lips lifted in a devilish smirk as your eyes opened in shock.
"Y-you..."
"Oh, yes. You may not know this but back in the day my family was in the hunting business. They were bounty hunters, to be more accurate. So when I took over the business, I made you my first mission."
According to Jeffrey, he had spent a good couple of years trying to track you down. All his searches had been useless until he met Roulette and she had offered a deal he couldn't really say no to. He would hunt aliens for her and in exchange he would receive a considerable amount of money, with an extra if the aliens he brought her were also good fighters. It keep going for a couple of years until Roulette asked him to go after an specific person.
She had talked to him about this alien species capable of changing its form to whatever it wanted. The problem was that she had never found one until she heard the rumors about you. So she sent him on a quest to find you and, even with the little information she had about you, he did it.
"I would have loved to just shoot you the moment I saw you but the idea of watching you get beaten by a bunch of aliens was much more compelling."
You tried to move once again, pulling yourself up with your arms, but it was useless and painful as the ache in your back and the dizziness of the sedatives hit you again. You fell back in the bed with a couple of sweat drops forming in your forehead from the effort and noticing your restrains were also doing its job at keeping you there.
"Oh, you're not getting out of here so easily. The doctors are not done yet toying with you."
"What are they doing with me?" You growled.
"I can't believe you haven't figured that yet. I guess your brain doesn't work like it used to after all the shit they have been injecting you." He smiled once again.
The door of the room opened a second later, Lillian entered with Henshaw following behind and pushing a medical cart full with medical instruments, ampules and test tubes, all shapes, sizes and colors.
"Well, I see you already came to make your acquaintance, Mr. Hex." She said and turned to look at the medical instruments. "Unfortunately, your time with our guest here is over. I must ask you to leave so we can continue with our work."
Jeffrey stepped out of the chair with an annoyed expression and walked to the other side of your bed, facing Lillian and Henshaw.
"I would like to see it, if you don't mind. I wanna be prepared to what you gonna be doing with me too." He said.
"There's no need, Mr. Hex, and I assure you we're going to be more gentle with you, if that's what you're worried about." Lillian directed him a death stare and you were confused as to why they would be doing the same to him. You were not against it if it meant making him suffer for a while but you couldn't think of a reason why they would be doing this to him. "Now, I wouldn't want to ask my partner here to escort you out of the room."
Henshaw left the cart near Lillian and stood like a sentinel, looking at Jeffrey with a death stare. "You should go."
"Have fun without me then." He said and started to walk to the door as Lillian followed his stride.
You watched the scene unfold with a frown, still confused and shocked about what Jeffrey had said. It wasn't enough that you were trapped like a lab rat in an unknown place at the mercy of Lillian Luthor and her cyborg guard dog but now Jeffrey was part of the equation.
Everyone there had a reason to keep you where you were and it wasn't easy to imagine why. Everyone seemed to have their own agenda about you. If Roulette wanted you back on the ring then, why was Lilian keeping you? If Lillian only wanted you as her test subject, why keep Roulette and Jeffrey around? And if Jeffrey wanted to mess up with you, why did he need any of them?
"Do you know the story of  Periclymenus?"
"Who?"
"He was a Greek prince. His grandfather Poseidon gave him the ability to transform himself into various animals. A lion, a snake, a swarm of bees." She pulled away, back to the medical cart. "Unfortunately, he was murdered by Heracles when he invaded his kingdom. They fought but, of course, Heracles was stronger. Periclymenus couldn't escape him and he inevitably died at the hands of the invader."
Lillian returned her attention to you and then at the medical cart. She took a syringe from it and walked towards you, to inject its content in your IV bag.
"What do you think was the cause of his defeat?" She said pulling the syringe away and not expecting a real answer from you. "If you think about it, Heracles only had his strength against Periclymenus' gift. So, how did Heracles manage what he did?"
You started to feel numb.
"Because it was still the strength of one man against the force of one that felt like a thousand." She declared. "I like to think, if Periclymenus had possessed the same strength as Heracles, he would have succeeded instead."
"I guess we will never know." It was becoming difficult to stay awake with your body feeling broken and your mind spinning.
"Oh, but we will and you're helping us it."
"What are you doing with me?" You asked once again.
"Our kingdom is at war, (Y/N), and we need a new champion. One bred from the blood of the gods, old and new." She smiled at you. "This time, I'm going to make sure we conquer." She said and all the light faded out.

I'm Havin' Feelings Fer Ye
Tumblr media
Captain Magnum x gender neutral!reader
@lovefor-xreaders ty for the prompt!
A/N: Guess who has no life and wrote an entire 2,000 word fanfic all in one day? THIS ASSHOLE! im so fucking bored guys, please, this is all I have. Send prompts. Uh... Rated T for cursing and violence. I think mostly angst, fluff at the end.
Word Count: 2.3k
--
You danced around the ship with some of the other crewmates to shanties the captain sang. You found treasure! You actually found treasure! You had honestly expected to die at some point… but you didn't! And you found treasure! That was wonderful! You were starting to think the heist wasn't such a bad idea! Even though Mark's… gone… you'd be alright! You had treasure! You'd be alright…
Captain Magnum watched you as you danced around, a smile present on your face. It made him feel all weird inside… he'd lived long enough to know what love feels like… probably. This was not it… he didn't think… he honestly didn't know. But when he watched you spin and kick your feet and laugh… he felt real happy…
You danced for a while before you eventually got tired and sat down, panting. The captain and the crew were messing with the treasure. Picking it up and letting it fall back into the chest, examining it, biting it…
These people were weird…
You held out your hands for your share of the treasure, since you were being patient. He looked to you and set a small coin in your hand, curling your fingers and patting them. You squinted at him, wondering if he's actually serious. He seemed to be, since he headed to his quarters immediately after. You frowned, looking at the coin. You'd talk to him about that later…
Captain Magnum felt a bit bad about only giving you a coin. What else was he supposed to do? You might've left if he gave you more treasure! He couldn't have that! Then again… that seemed a bit manipulative… eh, you'd be fine. He sat down in his chair and thought about you.
You were an enigma to him.
He'd felt this way before… but it was so… prominent this time… why was he so fond of you? It's not like you were special! You just had beautiful skin and sparkly eyes and the most stunning smile he'd ever seen and...
Goddamnit, he was in love…
He sighed, wondering what he was going to do about this, when he heard a sharp knock at his door. He jumped a bit, not expecting anybody since it was pretty late. He stood up and walked over, opening the door. You were standing there with your arms crossed. He was going to greet you, but you looked pissed. He wondered why. Then, you held up the coin.
"Are you kidding?" You asked accusingly. "I'm your first mate, you trust me enough to choose where we go, and you give me this bullshit?" You started walking towards him. Despite the height difference, he felt a bit intimidated by you. He stepped back.
"Listen, I be th' cap'n. I already told ye, me share be more fair than others," he stated. You glared at him and he felt his stomach drop. "Ye knew wha' ye were gettin' into, ye can nah be angry," he crossed his arms. You sighed.
"Fine. Whatever," you mumbled as you left the cabin. He opened his mouth to apologize, but nothing came out. He closed his mouth again. You were already gone anyway. Nothing he could do about it now. He'd get some sleep and you'd be fine in the morning.
--
It had been a few days since you found the treasure. You weren't talking to Magnum. He kept glancing at you as you were swabbing the deck. Your smile was replaced with a frown. It was less of an angry frown and more of a sad frown, but it made him feel just as bad. He waited a while to talk to you because he didn't want to mess it up. He eventually decided that it was a good enough time to do so, and he walked over to you.
"Mornin', first mate! How did ye sleep?" He asked. You paused for a moment, but you didn't answer. "Uh... 'twas a bit windy last night, huh? Glad we got all th' loot inside..." you still didn't look up, but your frown got tighter. He patted his hands on his legs and sucked in a breath. "Wonderful weather we be havin'?" You finally stopped mopping and turn to him.
"What do you want?" You asked, exasperated. He frowned.
"Are ye okay? Ye seem upset…" he commented.
"Oh, no yeah I'm totally fine!" You scoffed. "My best friend's dead, the guy who killed him won't even bother giving me any sort of compensation, I may never see my family or friends again, but sure I'm fine." You stated, mopping vigorously. Magnum sighed and looked at your face. You looked like you were on the verge of tears. He opened and closed his mouth, trying to find the right words.
"I... I be sorry. I'll give ye more treasure if... If ye promise ye won't weigh anchor…" he finally managed. You stopped and turned to him slowly. His eyes widened. "No, no, no! Ye... I didn'... um…" he gulped as you raised an eyebrow at him.
"Uh-huh. Go on. I'm waiting." You demanded. He took a deep breath.
"I... I find ye endearin'... 'n I wants ye t' stay... wit' me... specifically." He said. Your face softened a bit, to his joy. He smiled.
"I… have people back home." You said. His smile fell. "I can't just… leave and… not tell them anything…"
"Then tell 'em! Write 'em a letter or somethin'! That would be fine!" He said desperately.
"What am I supposed to say? "Hey, guys! I eloped with a 7 foot tall pirate and am now sailing the seven seas as his first mate"?"
"...yes?" He said, unsure. You sighed and looked down. He held his breath, waiting for whatever you were going to say next.
"What am I supposed to tell his family?" You asked softly. He took a deep breath.
"I... I dunno. 'n... I be mighty, mighty sorry about wha' I did t' yer friend... But... I... I be... I reckon I be in love wit' ye…" he said shakily. You looked up at him, your eyes widened. You could see a tint of red on his suntanned cheeks. He avoided your eyes for a bit before you chuckled. He looked at you. You smiled at him warmly. He returned it.
"I…" you began, blushing. You were cut off by the sound of a cannon.
"Avast! Prepare to be boarded!" A voice boomed from above.
"Oh, God, not again," you whined. Magnum reached out to put a hand on your shoulder, but another cannonball whizzed past you two, making you fall in different directions.
"Ye hide. I'll take care o' this," he instructed. He unsheathed his sword as you hid behind a nearby barrel, watching him to see if he'd need any assistance.
"Who be thar? Show yourself, yellow-bellied cur!" He yelled. You blinked, processing what he said. "Yellow-bellied cur". Huh. That was new. You heard wood creaking behind you and ducked further behind the barrel. You slowly rose and saw a man standing in from of Magnum. He was taller than you and had an average build, and was wearing a pirate outfit. His clothes looked… cleaner and more fancy than Magnum's. He was holding a sword and had a peg leg.
"Who are ye callin' a yellow-bellied cur?" He said in a low, rough voice.
"Obviously you, shitlord!" You said, quickly covering your mouth with your hand afterwards. The man turned and looked at you. He raised an eyebrow, smirking. You suddenly felt… violated.
"Well, well, well. Wha' 'ave we here?" He chuckled. "I may jus' keep ye fer meself." You laid your hand on a revolver.
Magnum tightened his fist around the hilt of his sword and swung. The man blocked it and stumbled back.
"Ye lay a hand on them, ye're dead." He growled. The man smirked and tried to jab at his side. Magnum managed to block it in time. The two captains went on sword fighting for a couple minutes while you stayed behind the barrell. The other man's crew was on the ship fighting the rest of yours. You felt a bit useless, so you grabbed the revolver and aimed towards the other pirates. You grazed two in their legs, and nailed one in the shoulder. You lost track of Captain Magnum after a while. While you looked for him, you heard something land behind you. You yelped and spun around, seeing the invading captain.
"Ahoy thar, darlin'," he smirked at you. You held the revolver up to aim at him. He scoffed. "C'mon, darlin'. Thar's no needs fer that. I won't hurt ye… Much."
"Go fuck yourself," you snarled.
"Such naughty language fer such a sweet thin'." He laughed. "I'll 'ave fun wit' ye."
"Oh, yeah, that doesn't sound creepy at all. Great," You sighed. He took a step towards you and you cock the gun. "Don't move, asshole." You warned.
"Oh, come on now." He chuckled. "We both know ye're too soft t' shoot me. So, why don't ye-" You shoot. The bullet hits him in the side. His eyes widened as he stared at you in disbelief.
"Something about me, captain," you set the gun down and walked over to him as he fell to the floor. "My best friend is dead. I'm feeling a bit pissed. And I have shot a man before." You got on one knee and leaned down next to his ear. "I'm not as soft as I look." You stood back up and walked back to the middle of the deck.
Captain Magnum was frantically walking around. The crew looked okay, so you sighed. The captain heard and spun towards you. He smiled widely as he ran over and enveloped you in a hug.
"Oh, thank Poseidon. Ye're okay. If I had lost ye I... I... I dunno wha' I'd do!" He stammered, petting your head. "Ye're okay, right?" You smiled and hugged him back.
"I'm alright, Captain," You whispered. He sighed and held you for a while before the previous first mate cleared his throat.
"'tis real touchin' 'n all, but we should prolly repair th' ship." He suggested. Magnum turned to him, glaring.
"Ye interrupted a bondin' moment t' tell me that?" He glowered. You bit your lip to keep from laughing. The crewmate opened his mouth to respond, but almost immediately closed it and started picking up pieces of wood. The other crewmates followed suit.
"We should help them," you declared. Magnum looked at you, his eyebrows knitted together.
"But do we 'ave t'?" He asked hopefully. You smiled and pulled away from him. Despite wearing a couple layers, he could feel the absence of your warmth. He sighed and helped clean up.
--
It took a while, but you all managed to clean up the deck. You'd probably need to buy more wood to repair the boat, but you figured it'd be fine. It was dark now and everyone had retired to their quarters. Except for you. You sat on the deck, staring up at the stars. Magnum left his quarters to check on you. He got worried when he saw you weren't asleep. He walked over to you, ruining the mood a bit with how loud he was. He dropped next to you with a loud creak of the floor. You didn't look at him.
"Ahoy," he greeted.
"Hi," you responded bluntly. You both sat there for a moment while he came up with things to say.
"Are ye okay?"
"Yep."
"Okay. That be good." Silence. "Wha' are ye doin'?"
"Just… stargazing."
"Okay. Why?"
"Felt like it."
"Oh." More silence. "Are ye thinkin' about 'im?"
"Yes."
"Do ye want t' talk about 'im?"
"No. Not tonight. Maybe another time."
"Ok... 'tis a tad cold tonight."
"Yeah. I guess so."
"Me cabin be th' warmest... If ye... Wanted t' sleep in thar... Wit' me... That would be alright…" You whipped you head towards him surprised. He noticed your panic. "Or not! That be fine too! I understand. Sorry fer botherin'. Goodnight!" He started to stand up, but you took his hand. He looked at your interlocked hands, flushed, then back at you.
"That would… that'd be fine." You said shakily. "I just… want to stay out here a bit longer."
"Ok," He nodded and plopped back down. You retracted your hand and tucked your knees to your chest, looking back up. He continued to look at you for a second, smiling, before looking back up. You chuckled.
"He loved space…"
--
Captain Magnum could listen to you talk for hours. You start talking about stars, then about Mark, then you get to talking about your other friends and family. He listened to everything you said because he knew it was important to you. You started to yawn after 45 minutes and you leaned on his arm. He froze in place, not wanting to bother you. Eventually, he looked down at you to see if you were asleep. Once he confirmed you were, he effortlessly lifted you up and carried you to his cabin. He gently set you on the large, warm bed. He wasn't planning on getting on it with you. You weren't there yet. You hadn't even told him you loved him back. He couldn't in good conscience get into a bed with you. He sat in his chair and looked at you. You were so…
"Gorgeous," he said under his breath. You cracked an eye open.
"Right back at you," you slurred. He blushed. You held out your arms. "Come into bed," he blushed deeper.
"No, I don't reckon I should…" He tried to say. You whined and he just couldn't. He stood up and carefully climbed into the bed with you, making sure to keep a bit of space between you two. That was pointless because you immediately turned over and snuggled into his chest. He gently moved his arms to embrace you tightly. He set a small kiss to your head and just lied there, wanting to treasure this moment.
Your eyes closed again as you heard him say "I love you". You smiled.
"I love you, too."

Face claim:  Emma Dumont

Summary: Nimue, daughter of Arthur and Gwen, and Avalon Le Fay, daughter or Merlin and Morgana, had always been thick as thieves, and had always been ready to declare war on Auradon.  Ever since the formation of the Isle, King Adam and the Fairy Godmother had been insisting that Morgana was still a villain, and therefore belonged on the Isle, and once Avalon was born, she agreed–so long as her daughter could stay in Camelot.  When Arthur was killed barely a year later, Merlin and Gwen partnered up to raise their daughters and run a kingdom, until the girls would be old enough to do so themselves.  Of course Auradon never trusted the one kingdom that refused to unite, and insisted that the girls be sent to Auradon prep, and so they went–reluctant as could be.  Everything was fine, mostly–the other princesses looked down on Nimue’s love of swordfighting, and Avalon was never seen as anything but a villain kid, but they still had each other.  They could tolerate it all, biding their time.  But at sixteen years of age, everything they’d ever planned gets thrown for a loop when it’s declared that four children from the Isle would be moving to Auradon.

Faceclaim:  Willa Fitzgerald
Summary: If King Adam had known the price of banishing magic from Auradon, he might have reconsidered.  But the former Beast was a stubborn man who refused to heed any warnings, and it had backfired.  He hadn’t known that banishing all magic would rip the last remains of the Enchantress’ curse from his veins, hadn’t known that the magic would redirect itself into the Enchantress, and he certainly hadn’t known that it would lead to the immediate birth of his firstborn child.  But it had.  And while he had no qualms about sending the Enchantress to the Isle, the queen had refused to send her stepdaughter, and so Princess Beatrice had been raised in Auradon alongside her younger brother.  She knew the truth about her birth, and she knew that her father hated her with every fibre of his being, but she didn’t care.  What she did care about was Ben’s decision to bring children from the Isle to Auradon - children that could have been her, had Belle not stepped in - and proving to her father, once and for all, that her generation is something more than just the children of heroes and villains, that they can be their own people and make their own choices.  And maybe the children of the four baddest villains are the perfect people to help her with that plan.

Summary: Despite Doug’s warnings, despite knowing that the children of the dwarves weren’t supposed to go to Auradon Prep, Dakota had still held out hope that she would be welcomed with open arms on her first day of high school.  But despite wishing on a hundred stars, Dakota’s first day was completely underwhelming.  The only person who cared at all about her arrival was Doug, who was like a brother to her.  Everyone else made it very clear that they didn’t want her to be there, that her dad wasn’t a hero or a prince and that she didn’t belong.  But she had Doug, so everything would be okay.  Until her second week of school, when Doug is put in charge of showing the new villain kids around.  Now Dakota has a choice to make.  Will she learn to be okay with the VKs so that she can stay with the only friend she has, or will she brave her cruel new school alone?  And really, that’s no choice at all.

Summary:  Why is it that people on the Isle only ever talk about Freddie Facilier?  Well according to Freddie, it’s because she’s the superior twin; according to Francie Facillier, it’s because she choses to fade into the shadows from which she came.  Francie knows everything about everyone, knows every corner of the Isle, even knows how to get off of it.  But even though she’s supposed to be evil, she’s not quite evil enough to force anyone else to listen to the villains lament on their glory days, on when they were the most feared in all the land.  Whatever, big deal, who cares?  Maybe the Beast-King should have left them all dead.  But he didn’t, no way of changing it now, so maybe it’s time for Francie to put all of her knowledge to work and crown herself Queen of the Isle.

Story: The Rose Has Her Thorns
Parents: Gaston Legume
Face claim:  Zoey Deutch
Love Interest: Ben and/or Harry Hook
Summary: There were many reasons that Rosabelle Legume didn’t want to go to Auradon: the Beast might have her executed, she didn’t want to leave her big brother, her crew needed her, and she wasn’t ready to say goodbye to Harry or to whatever relationship they had.  But there was one very good reason for her to leave: it would get her away from Gaston.  So Ro packs her bags and goes to Auradon with Mal and her gang - fine, whatever, she’d help them take down the barrier and everything would be fine.  But she wasn’t expecting to need to get close to Prince Ben to do it, and now Rosabelle has an even bigger choice to make.  Ben or Harry, Auradon or the Isle, good or evil?

Tumblr media
Name: Winnie Pan
Story: Where Dreams Are Born
Parents: Wendy Darling & Peter Pan
Face claim:  Haley Lu Richardson
Summary: When magic was shut off from Auradon, Neverland was shut away, no one could come or go.  Unfortunately for Peter Pan, he was on the wrong side of that barrier.  Stuck in Auradon with a fully grown Wendy Darling, he had no choice but to grow up, and in fact the vanishing of the magic that had kept him young didn’t just make him age as normal, it pushed him into immediate adulthood.  And with adulthood came children.  A daughter, Winnie Pan.  Winnie was raised on Peter and Wendy’s stories about Neverland and she had long since fallen in love with it.  But it was inaccessible, she’d been told, she could never see it.  And as much as she hated it, she understood.  Until Prince Ben lets four villain children through their barrier into Auradon.  And Winnie has a realization: if one barrier can be taken down, so can the other.  And Winnie Pan will follow the second star to the right to the home she should have had, or she’ll die trying.

32 Reasons Why
Disclaimer: I do not own Percy Jackson and the Olympians.
Note: This is after the Second Titan War but Silena and Beckendorf never died and Percabeth never got together :(
<3<3<3
She yawned, sitting up on her bed. She got up to open the curtains of the cabin and “SURPRISE!!!”, yelled half the Aphrodite cabin. “What is going on. What's happening. Ughhhhh. It's too early for this!”, she cried, sleepily rubbing her eyes. “Don’t tell me you forgot, silly. It’s Valentine’s Day today!”, exclaimed Silena, perky as always. “Here you go!”, and she shoved a bunch of little pink bags covered in hearts, into Annabeth’s arms. “These are for the Athena Cabin, and Annabeth, there's something special in there for you”, she winked at Annabeth. Ugh, couldn't Silena know that the only person she’d ever want to receive a card from. Ugh!!! And now that Seaweed Brain was making her sappy. How could he not know that she liked her. For gods’ sake! Even the clueless Ares kids knew. She wanted to run over to his cabin (He was visiting camp for a week) and scream into his ear that she liked him. Here are the hints she has given him:
-She kissed him on the cheek.
-She asked him to ask her to dance.
-SHE FELL OFF A CLIFF FOR HIM!!!
-She refused the hunters for him.
-She agreed to dance with him up on Olympus.
-SHE KISSED HIM IN THE LABYRINTH!!!
-She was mad that he was at Calypso’s island while she thought he was dead.
-She was jealous of Rachel.
-SHE TOOK A KNIFE FOR HIM!!!
It was a pretty extensive list if she did say so herself. Hmm… maybe she should send him a card for Valentine’s Day. Anyways, gotta get to work. She segregated the cards and gifts and gave them to the respective Athena kids, and was rather surprised when she came across an envelope with her name untidily scrawled across the front. Her heart leapt. She’d recognize that handwriting anywhere, Percy’s. “Calm down Annabeth, it may just be a card telling how he thought of her as nothing more than a very good friend or maybe that she was like a sister to him”, she told herself. She opened the envelope and found a folded sheet of paper. ‘32 Reasons Why’, was written in big, bold letters on the top of the page. 32 reasons for what? She looked down and this is what she found.
You call me Seaweed Brain.
You let me call you Wise Girl, even though I know you hate nicknames.
What? Where was this going?
You have beautiful blonde hair.
You defy the stereotype “Dumb Blonde”.
You’re super smart.
You correct me when I mess up.
Your brilliant grey eyes.
Your tan skin that practically shines in the sun.
Your long legs.
Your pink lips.
She blushed at that. Had that Seaweed Brain been staring at her lips?
Just you (You’re beautiful you know)
You keep me on my toes.
You put up with my klutziness.
You put up with my Seaweed Brain-ness
You aren’t afraid of anything (except spiders).
You made me your official spider-killer.
You watch finding nemo and the little mermaid with me.
Oh my gods! The number of times she and Percy had cuddled on his couch and had a Disney movie marathon. She personally thought it was adorable how much he loved them, especially Finding Nemo and The Little Mermaid.
My mom loves you.
You love my mom.
You baked a cake for me (with Tyson’s help)
The first thing you ever said to me was “You drool in your sleep”.
You like Tyson even though you hate cyclops.
You kissed me on the cheek.
You fell off a cliff for me.
You danced with me.
You kissed me in the labyrinth.
You were jealous of Rachel (btw you looked adorable when you were jealous)
Wait! Percy thought she was adorable… And he had apparently known that she was jealous and still insisted Rachel come… SHE WAS GOING TO KILL HIM!!!
You took a knife for me.
I turned down immortality for you.
You kept me alive when I was in the River Styx (You are my mortal anchor to the world).
Huh, she hadn't known that.
You are going to march over to my cabin after you read this and either kill or kiss me.
He really did know her. She was going to-Wait! Kiss?
I am in love with you.
32 Reasons Why I Love You
He loved her! That Seaweed Brain loved her! She couldn’t even be mad at him right now. She was just so happy… and turning into one of those Aphrodite girls… UGH! WHAT WAS THIS SEAWEED BRAIN DOING TO HER?!?! She was going to march over to his cabin right now and give him a… hug! NO! That was not what she was going to do! She was mad at him!!! She was going to give him a slap. Right? She immediately went over to his cabin. He was sleeping, drooling all over his pillow. And then he said something; her name. Somehow the combined ideas of her seemingly being in his dream as well as him drooling made Annabeth blush a red so bright, tomatoes would be jealous. “Wake up Seaweed Brain!”, she cried, shoving him so hard, he almost fell off the bed. “5 more minutes mom”, Percy sleepily muttered. Then he opened his eyes. “ANNABETH!”, he yelled in surprise and fell off his bed. She laughed until she noticed he was only wearing boxers. Her face immediately became a blazing red. She turned away,”PUT SOME CLOTHES ON SEAWEED BRAIN!” He didn't seem to have realised until then and immediately ran to the washroom to get dressed, leaving her standing there blushing. She’d never admit it but Percy was HAWT! He finally came out, this time wearing clothes. Half of her was relieved, but the other half, the one she tried to push deep inside, was disappointed. “So. What's up?”, Percy asked, seemingly nonchalant. That idiot! Had he really forgotten about it? Then, the Aphrodite cabin knocked on his door and shoved a box into his arms when he opened it. The box must have had at least 50 letters, cards and gifts from adoring girls. Annabeth could feel the jealousy boiling up inside her. She so wanted to snatch the box from his arms and throw it far away. Percy was HERS! Fortunately though, it seemed to have reminded Percy of the letter. His face was rapidly turning red and was avoiding her gaze. Annabeth decided to make him wait and didn't say anything. For a minute or so, none of them said anything. Then Percy burst out, “Annabeth, I can't take this any longer! Have you read it yet?” “What are you talking about, Seaweed Brain?”, asked Annabeth, deciding to have some fun with this. “The letter!”, exclaimed Percy. “Oh! That letter!” “So you have read it” “Maybeee” “Annabeth! Just tell me please!”, Percy begged. “Yeah, I have read it”, said Annabeth nonchalantly. “Wise Girl, you’re killing me”, Percy moaned and fell on the bed. She kissed him, right on the lips. And he had some nice ones. He made a surprised sound against her mouth and for a moment she was afraid she did something wrong. But Percy immediately pulled her closer and started kissing her back with just as much passion. Annabeth pulled back, gasping for air. “Sooo, does this mean you like me too?”, Percy asked. She glared at him,”DO I HAVE TO TATTOO IT ACROSS MY FOREHEAD?! Yes, I like you Seaweed Brain!” Percy smiled goofily and kissed her again. “Perce, you in there?”, they heard one of the Stolls call and quickly jumped apart. “So there you are”, smirked Connor. “And it seems like it finally happened huh. The great getting together of PERCABETH. Hey Travis”, he called for his brother who came in grinning a minute later. “Time for Plan Percabeth!” “Omg! I knew this was going to happen”, cried Silena as she rushed in, dragging a couple of campers with her. “To the lake”, Clarisse declared, and they dumped the couple in the lake. Underwater, Percy made an air bubble and it was them who had the last laugh as everyone convenienlt forgot that Percy was the son of Poseidon. They stayed down there for ages, just talking and laughing. And maybe they made out a little; but nobody has to know!

The Prophecies and The Quest
Last Chapter: “Where are you going?” asked Jason “I need a minute” is all he said as the door closed behind him.
  The Prophecies and The Quest
As I sat on the beach watching the lack under the for once, clear midnight sky and remember back when this all started. Back on Mount Olympus, just after the gaea and giant war when all the greeks and the roman army filled the room filled with the Olympic gods.
********
Camp half-blood and Jupiter were still at odds with each other, even in the presence of the god they still didn’t trust the other, thunder and lightning shocked the air and in came Zuse, the King of Drama.
With the rest of the gods “everyone, we have summoned you all here to...to give are appreciations in your assistants in the war,” assistants? but we did all woke I thought raising my eyebrow, for a long time Zeus talked bullshit about how he and the gods did something, I have no idea what.
I mostly tuned him out only lightning when Annabeth elbowed me, it was all going relatively well till there was a sharp gasp, looking around to see Rachel, her eyes where a smoky green with dirty green smoke coming out of her mouth, which could only mean one thing: no, no no, Hades no, can't it be someone else.
I thought as Annabeth and I pushed ourselves to get to her, along with the camp counselors and the seven-plus Nico and Reyna as well as Chiron who ordered the campers to get back, we all made room for her, not wanting to crowd her, just as the people who were assigned to her came to through in the nick of time as Rachel was about to speak.
  Twins of the eldest gods
Shall reach sixteen against all odds
Shall battle the Lost son
In the land where creation won
In a world painted black
And the gods held back
As all three worlds unit to
 Triumph evil's might
A choice will be made
To save the gods or they Shall fade
As Rachel finished her last word she fainted, “well...that was...something” Dad said nervously, “what was that” a roman camper said “the gods will fade,” said another as more and more Romans and Greeks alike started freaking out.
“SILENCE!” Zuse shouted as the entire hall quieted down, “as you all heard, it seems a new great prophecy has arrived” he said “The Twin Prophecy, father” Apollo said who looked seriously and in pain“did you see anything Apollo” Artemis asked him who was shaking their head in pain, “it was so fast and bright even for me” he said holding his head in pain.
“Dad!” both the roman and greek kid of Apollo said softly “did you at least get a glimpse of something?” Asked Hera, she was just as pale as Zuse “well for starters this is well into the future, I saw brown hair...lightning...and blue eyes... Along with floating water...and, the dead were rising” well that was “WHAT?!” nearly all the gods shouted.
“LIGHTNING?! ZUSE DID YOU HAVE ANOTHER CHILD” Hera shouted “HE ALSO SAID WATER, POSEIDON DID YOU” started Zeus but Dad in his chill tone said “calm down brother, I swear to you Percy is the only son I have” Hera raised an eyebrow in disbelief “are you sure about that brother” she challenged back “yes sister, Percy is the only son I know of” he replied coolly.
“did you all forget that Apollo also said the dead were rising so HADES DID YOU CHEAT ON MY DAUGHTER AGAIN!!! I know you were a-” Demeter ranted on and on as Hades looked two seconds away from shadow traveling out of here, “EVERYONE” Athena shouted, gathering their attention“did you all forget, this prophecy dictated the birth of twins that will someday be the choosers of our fate, instead of guessing who sired them we must first find or look out for theses two” she explained in a commanding tone.
“brown hair, blue eyes and they may be able to control the powers of Zeus, Poseidon and Hades” Hermes listed, “dang these kids sound like legacies” he continued “dangerous, is what they sound like” mumbled Zuse yet we all heard him  “now brother, quiet your paranoia this is serious business” Dad added “yes, indeed we need not worry about these Twins but also this Lost Son” Hades joined in.
“foreknow I believe we must wait" Hera said surprising everyone "what do you mean Hera" Zuse asked "I mean husband, is that instead of like the last great prophecy all we did was trust three brothers not to have children but only one followed through and don't forget all the death that was caused because of the fear we have of that child it talked about" she pointed out.
"instead of fearing this prophecy let us wait and see what it brings us, and maybe Hermes is right they could be legacies or even they have been given blessings declared them there champions by Zuse, Poseidon and Hades did none of you think of that" Heras words got us all thinking and agreeing with her, but don’t tell her I said that  "you're right Hera" Athena said looking surprised.
"then what should we do? just sit around and wait" asked Artemis "yes, it seems so but the oath still stands" Zeus declared “but you broke it first” mumbled Hare "but brother you broke the oath first, twice even maybe we should keep a close eye for if any more of your children pop up" Dad said in a teasing manner.
"I could do a scan" Hephaestus said nonchalantly which got all of are attached "what do you mean a scan, brother," Ares asked Hephaestus who looked up from the gimmick he was working on "well you see after the discovering of Perceuse, I decided to build a machine that can scan the entire western hemisphere of a demigod with are godly makeup" he explained as he pulled out a box made of celestial bronze "and when did you make this contraption Hephaestus " asked Athena.
“I got the idea around the time Perceuse went missing and just about last week was when it finally started working,” he explained as the bronze box floated towards Zuse “just add a drop of your ichor and press down on the red button” Hephaestus. explained as Zuse dropped a bit of ichor into the bronze box it then began to emit a golden glow till a hologram of the western hemisphere of north, central along with South America was on full view and in North America, the United States in the south coast of Arizona is a blue dot, well dam, “ZEUS?!” Hara shouted in anger well Hades grubbled in ancient greek and Dad laughed so hard he almost fell out of his throne“we have another sibling” Jason said astound “oh great” Thalia said sarcastically but not surprised, as we all stood or sat looking at Hera yelling at Zeus for cheating on her, again.
“everyone” said a soft calm voice it was Hestia “why don't we bring them here, by the looks of it they're already fourteen we'll be going against the oath we made too Perseus” she said looking at the hologram which had zoomed into the blue dot and had words on it “yes, and Hera you can't harm them” Zuse said as he snapped his fingers and poof in a cloud of smoke stood two-finger.
the first a tall guy he has pale skin and dark hair styled in an undercut next to him was a kid around eleven or twelve with messy black hair that could give Nico a run for his money, with pale skin as well their backs were facing us so I couldn't see their faces, “w-what, where are we?” the taller male said as he looked around “welcome to mount Olympus, son” Zeus with all his drama said “mount Olympus like the stories” he said in disbelief “yes child, all you have read and heard about us greek god is real and you are my son,” he said.
“um...I’m Takashi Shirogane, please call me Shiro, I’m 14 I attended the galaxy garrison in Arizona and this is my little brother Keith, and it’s nice to meet you, Zuse...Dad...sir but why am I here?” my gods' poor guys freaking the heck out just then a red bore popped up on the kid Keith’s head “I had a feeling you were one of mine,” Ares said.
“and who the f***ck are you” said the kid and whoa the look on Ares face makes me wish I had a camera “Keith, please don't anger the gods” Shiro said sounding as if he's used to it “well you little Sh**t I’m ya Dad, Ares god of war” Ares said back, Keith who looked at him up and down “the guy that got trapped in a jar by two ideats?” oh my gods I really wish I had a camera on me right now, everyone laughed and I mean everyone, the greeks to the gods hack even the Romans who respect the war god more than Zeus.
Ares, on the other hand, looked two seconds away from blowing up“Shiro” called Zeus “yes” he said, “Do you have a twin?” wow smooth “Zeus my invention already looked for all your children there can't be another” Hephaestus. said “yes” Shiro said which surprised all of us “his name was Kron Shirogane he died when we were two” oche “my apologies for breaking up bad thoughts son” he said showing some sympathy he then snapped his fingers Shiro then had a blue lightning bolt floating above his head and a black glove on his left hand.
“what's this sir” he asked still looking nervous “this son is symbol of me claiming you as my own as well as giving you a means of protection the glove will transform into a sword when needed, you can ask your older brother and sister for help” that’s what didn't shock Shiro, he just grabbed Keith who by the way was having a glaring match with Aries and walked closer to us “um...hi everyone I’m Shiro and this is Keith” he said looking a bit more relaxed than before.
“hi I’m Leo, this is your blond superman of a brother Jason and scary huntress sister Thalia” Leo enthusiastically as he pointed at the two “hi nice to meet you” Shiro said outstretching his hand, Jason shock it “great meeting you at least know I’m not the only one in the Zuse cabin” he said “cabin?” he asked “will explain later,” I tell him just as Demeter staches the bronze box and throws it onto Hades who rolls his eyes and drops his own ichor into the device nothing popped up but two black dots in new york Hazel and Nico.
“see you ranting women I have done nothing” just as he tossed the box to Dad who without complaint did the same as the other and just like Hades nothing happens except for one, me.
“then it has been proven that the Twin Prophecy won't be happening for a long time, till then we shall head Hares word and instead of postponing the issue we shall all be ready” he announced “unm...Father sir can you please send us home I don't want to explain to parents how we ended up in Olympus” Shiro said.
“don't worry young one we will send a message to your parents of your whereabouts” Chiron explained, “ok now that we have gotten all this prophecy stuff out of the way, why don't we PARTY!?” Apollo shouted back to his usual bright self, as a big celebration was held as I looked around of how the Greeks and Romans were actually starting to get along and how Jason and Thaila were talking with Shiro looking around to see everyone having fun being carefree.
  Twins of the eldest gods
Shall reach sixteen against all odds
Why does it sound, so close to mine, are they gonna be kids just like how I started only time can tell really I just hope I’m alive when they arrive.
******
“Don’t you think you have been out for too long son” I turned see Dad sitting next to me “how did you not know” I asked “they had a spell or seal powerful one on them, that's why Hephaestus machine couldn't find them they were just well hidden” he explains blankly.
“their mother I met her a few years after you were born at the time was traveling in Cuba that's when I meet her, Rosalena she was a great friend, but we were never meant to be nothing more than that”  he chuckles softly, “If I had to take a guess it must've been around the fall of that year-” oh no “Dad, please don't tell me how my half-siblings were created I’m scared enough” he laughs half-heartedly.
“anyway, right now the god are baffled by this news and are just waiting,” he said as we got off the beach “it about time you head onto bed son doesn't want to keep you knew siblings waiting in the morning for ya” Dad teased as he walked into the water and disappeared. While heading to bed, my mind was filled with thoughts of what happens now? Do they go on the quest Rachel said before? And how in the span of thirteen months I become an older brother what is my life.
*******
I wake up to yelling, a lot of yelling as I run out the cabin to see a bunch of non-flaming skeleton hellhounds chasing what looks to be Keith and some other Ares kids. Well, Shiro is arguing with Nico, behind him Lance was standing guarding someone against behind with a look promising murder well the ground we starting to freeze around him.
“Percy!” I heard Annabeth call out turning and Thaila and Jason along with Leo and Piper “what happened we heard yelling and screaming,” she said, “are those hellhounds?” Leo asked looking at the hounds that were chasing the Ares kids “yes, yes they are why are they attacking the Ares kids?” Thaila asked “guys, I don’t know I literally just woke up, let's go ask Nico why he's arguing with Shiro and why Lance looks two seconds away from turning the camp into Antarctica,” I tell them as we race towards the arguing between Nico and Shiro.
“Guys, guys what happened,” Jason asked as he got between them “I’m trying to get Lance to stop tormenting my brother” Shiro explained “they.stabbed.Lana” Lance who was barely containing his anger, said through clenched teeth “we can go get Chiron for this, not sick hellhound on them” Shiro said glancing worryingly at his brother and Ares kid who were being chased around, those who were caught were thrown so far they landed in the lack some were even thrown all the way to the lava wall seeing this Leo whistled.
“Lance, stop, it's just a scratch” Lana said from behind him “but that's still not aloud how can they just stab a person and get away with it” he said back turning to her “then why is Keith among them, when he was doing nothing” Shiro said back “oh, no no no he was trying to defend those a**holes-” ''Languages!” we all yelled “he just busted in and started to say crap about how we shouldn't be on our high horses just because of parentage.”
a few more splashes where hard and once again Shiro, Nico and Lance started arguing and yelling well Jason, the poor guy tried to defuse it will everyone else tried to catch the hellhounds or the campers, maybe both “EVERYONE STOP!!” we heard Clarissa yelled as she and Chiron stood next to “Mr.D...you's back” I said “yes, Peter, I have returned to this miserable heap of temper tantrums and hormones” he said with his usual disinterested tone well summoning a Diet Coke.
“who’s this?” Lana, who was healed thanks to a nearby Apollo kid asked well taking a few steps back “this is are camp counselor we call him Mr.D but he’s the god of wine” their eye whined of the fact that there was a god in front of them “Dionysus” they said together “so you're the mysterious brats that I've been given every one
Upstairs heart attacks” he said with a laugh “wait, gods get heart attacks?” Lance who finally calmed down and didn't look ready to kill whispered to himself but came out about loud for me and maybe Nico to hear.
“anyway, we are having a meeting in the council room,” he said as he walked away towards the big house “and bring peter's new siblings as well as Jace’s little brother too” he said as he got to the door “that was Dionysus” Lana said “yes, what did you expect” Leo said as all the cabin counselors headed towards the big house and Lances hellhounds returned to earth as we all walked into the big house and stayed around and around the pinball table.
“so, what's the meeting for Mr.D” Piper asked “it's about the prophecy” he started looking more tired than usual “you don’t mean” I said not likening where this is going “yes peter, they have to go,” he said in a dry tone “what's going on, and what prophecy?” Lana asked, “remember what Rachel said last night.”
Nico asked them they both looked in deep thought, “it sounded like a poem starting with sea and death shell bare twins. That will rise above creations sins,” Lana said “yeah, it was really catchy I remember “shell travel south with the youngest son of skies and find where the eldest goddess lies, Sea and death shall find the key” Lance continued “but loses sight of what they truly see.  for a choice, they shell mack, for love or heartbreak and may they find themselves in a bind For a friend will end their time” Rachel and “sounds ominous” Lana said “sounds sad” Lance added “it’s your quest” Mr.D said.
which surprised all of us, not it being the twins quest but him actually caring and being involved at the meeting “sorry, say that again I think I heard you wrong” Lance in shock asked “I, Lorenzo McClain am never wrong this quest is for you three children” he said looking at the twins then at Shiro! “Whoa, whoa Mr.D I think you got this all wrong Shiro can't go he's still new at this Demigod stuff,” Jason said coming to his Brothers defense who looked a bit sick.
“I don't see what is there to be wrong about Jackson, you were nearly fifteen when you saved Hera from the giants and peter was twelve when he returned Zeus's master bolt, what difference is there if they go on a quest at this age themselves” Mr. D ranted on again it's not normal, did Zeus finally let him drink “there are our siblings Mr.D, and Unlike us there are people worried about them” Thaila said “along with people capable of taking their place” Jason added just as loud thunder cracked across the sky “Jason you know one cannot avoid a prophecy, this is their time you must know this” Chiron said.
“hold up, so you're saying that me, Lance and him have to go on a quest to find a goddesses like in the greek stories” Lana said “yes” is all Mr.D said before the twins made a run for it, they were out the door before anyone could stop them “great, you scared them, now how are we going to find them” Thaila said “Mr.D what did the gods say about them, the twins I mean” Leo asked “first off, their mother pleased an ancient seal on them which  completely blacked of all traces of there exists, which didn’t go well with Hephaestus heck even know, when they have been claimed and the seal is broken I can barely feel their presence, it freaked a lot of them out, my father at first won’t stop laughing when he remembered Poseidon's words of only Peter being his son, only when it was pointed out it was Poseidon's kids who’ll be in the prophecy again did he not only stop but flash out in anger and Hades just went back to the underworld to talk with Thanatos.”
he said which surprised a lot of us, there Mom was able to evade the gods “Whoa” Leo and Conner awed “now what” Clarisse said “Shiro, this may sound unbelievable to you but you and the twins are to go on this mission by dusk, right now we need to find the twins know to go along” Chion commanded as all of us left to go look for the twins and the grace siblings helping Shiro pack.
*******
It was two hours before dusk and no-ones found the twins yet even after getting the entire camp looking. It wasn't until Rex came running towards us “guys guys” he said “there at half-blood hill Henry Shay and I got all these things ready there just waiting by Thaila’s tree,” he said.
“But why did they run like that” Jason who was next to me asked just as everyone else was running over “there scared, and confused, first they lost their Mom and suddenly there Dad and Grandpa claimed them as their own and now there being told to go of and fined a goddesses, yeah no, Lance and Lana may look tough and act smart and confident, but they just needed a place to breathe to just not have to worry about all this for just a second so we took them to the strawberry fields than to the woods and climbed the tallest tree we all stayed there till a little over an hour ago was when they decided to go on the Quest.”
Rex explained all this in one breath “so there just waiting for Shiro and Argus” Annabeth said nodding is all Rex did as he ran back to the half-blood hill, as we went to tell everyone where they were Shiro was packed and ready along with “Keith?” I called out to him who had an angry look on his face, “what's wrong, still mad for what Lance did this morning” I asked he huffed in irritation “no, I’m not mad about that I heard what happened and besides, why can't I join Shiro on this quest I’ve worked really hard on my swordsmanship and I know my understanding of greek mythology isn't high but I can still help” he pleaded.
“Keith” I said as I kneel down eye leveling with him “you know it's against the rules” I tell him knowing I sounded like a hypocrite “lies you yourself snuck on a quest, so why can't I” he yelled angrily, well crap know I really regret letting the other tell them my quests I know this day would hunt me “Keith the reason Percy had to be on that quest was also apart of the prophecy so it was meant to happen, but you are not to go you may walk with Shiro to half-blood hill but no more than that” Chiron said seriously.
I looked to the twelve year old son of Ares who with one last anger glare held his brothers hand and walked off towards half-blood hill, as we walked Jason who cached up to us Chiron who kept a close eye on Keith and Shiro who looked anything but happy as we made it to the hill there stood Argus with Henry Shay and Rex standing there near the white oak tree.
“Hey, where are they?” Jason asked in which Henry shushed him and pointed toward the twin who where just thirty feet away kneeling down placing rocks sticks and flowers, down an area which had grass stained with dried blood “is that the spot” I asked “yes” Shay said softly as the twins backed away looking at their work the rocks were piled up neatly and to form a small hill with flowers poking around, some in or out of the rocks the sticks wrapped around the rock flower hill with the help of a liter the twins lit each branch when done they did what looked to be a pray as they turned around their eyes were puffy and red the closer they got.
The more I notice the clothes they wore, Lance an old brown 80s jacket and camouflage shorts with the camp t-shirt sticking out, with navy blue combat boots Lana, had on a black long sleeve shirt, with a sleeveless camp shirt we may live in the north but it’s still summer, how is she not boiling anyway she wore them with brown pants and the same navy blue combat boots.
as Lance as they walked up to us ignoring everyone but the trio of friends “hey Shy, well we're gone can you add flowers…” she trailed “of cores I will when you come back the spot will be blooming with a thousand flowers” she said softly again “if we survive” I heard Lance mumble which looking around they heard it as well which didn’t go well with Keith “hey!” he yelled walking close to them Lance glared and Lana sighed.
“what” he shot back in which Keith just pointed to Shiro “that’s my brother, my family, I can't come with you to watch his back so can you please watch it for me” his angry and confident tone changed to a soft and vulnerable one with each word as he locked eye with Lance, “yes, you moron if you think for one second I’m going to lose someone again especially some who is loved, no, never” he spoke in confidence “Keith, we promise we’ll bring you brother back” Lana added in.
“Styx” oh my gods did he just “ok, Keith I think that going a little too far” Jason said but I see that the three kids where ignoring us, the twins looked at each other with a look of determination, oh, so that’s how stupidity looks like “I Laura Amara Nyx Aleja McClain” she said “and I Lorenzo Alejandro Nicholas Calisto Erenos McClain” he also said and at that moment I knew what it felt like to be everyone else dealing with me “swear on the River Styx that we will bring back your brother alive.”
they said together as a loud thunder and lightning crashed down on the other side of the ditch sealing the Oth and my fate to worry about these two idiots for the rest of my life, “uh” I mumbled out in realization “what?” Jason asked “I now know what it feels like to be, well, all of you who goes on a quest with me,” I tell him as Argus the twins and with one last hug from Keith, Shiro went downhill and into the vane and off they went.
“Father, please give them warmth and protection” Henry prayed “Mother gives them shelter and keep them well-fed” Rex and Shay prayed as we walked back to the camp and waited.
*******
As the van drove out of Long Island and into New York City streets, was have Argus left us “so where to next?” I asked them Lance looked at me “first, we need to go to Gettysburg Pennsylvania” he said as he and Lana started walking towards a bus stop as I ran to catch up “why?” I asked he looked at me again and smiled “Grampa wants to talk.”

You Die...
Summary:
The death of a beloved is something excruciatingly painful to go through, how will the 7 + Nico react to it?
Fluff/Smut/Angst
Warnings: Death, obviouslily. And gore
Annabeth:
How you ended up stumbling towards the overturned car for cover and holding your sliced stomach with your left arm, weapon dangling from your right you didn’t know. It was all so fast, the car yourself, Annie, and one of your half siblings suddenly being tossed to the side of the road as if it was meant for flying instead of driving. You remember pain, something cold going through your abdomen and twisting repeatedly the more the car moved.
You couldn’t recall how, but your sibling and Annie had remained unscathed, your sibling shaking from the adrenaline in the backseat, crawling out and gripping their weapon tightly as they went to face the reason for the accident. You remember Annabeth screaming at your sibling, telling them to get out of the way before you faintly saw her scramble out of the car.
What you don’t remember is how you got out of the vehicle. You were stuck last time you checked, something sharp running through you. You hadn’t realized that somehow your sword had transformed from its hidden appearance and lodging itself through you during the flips and turns you went through.
Your insides screamed at you, your instincts wanting to move faster and fight back against your offender,  it you couldn’t. It took all you had in you to make it back behind cover. You knew your two accomplices were fighting the monster just behind the burning metal that protected you, you longed to help them but you could no longer move, you couldn’t even feel most of your limbs, the burning pain in your abdomen fading out suddenly along with your vision.
You cried out, scared of dying on a mission like this. It wasn’t even something important, it was a simple quest of returning a few items to Apollo and Aphrodite. It was nearly finished too, just coming back from an interesting visit to the Love goddess and on the way back to camp when you were attacked.
Aphrodite saw through your cover up, knowing immediately that your feelings towards the daughter of Athena were anything but friendly. She smiled and decided to speak to you alone after returning the item she had been missing, which honestly sent chills down your spine.
She was blunt about your feelings much to your surprise, you started to doubt how well you hid it. Did everyone know? You started to freak out before she reassured you that it was purely because she was the goddess of love she saw through your front. She told you that you should confess to Annabeth, that you both would make a “hella cute couple”.  You smiled at her words and promised yourself to confess once your quest was complete.
But now you’ll never get to tell her how pretty her golden blonde hair looked when she let it down from her usual ponytail. Or how cute she looked when she was focusing on a puzzle, brows furrowed and lips pursed as her gray eyes took in every detail. You’ll never get to admit that you actually love it when she came into your cabin to wake you up, even if you were late to something important, you wanted her to be the first thing you woke up to.
You’ll never get to tell her you loved her with every part of you.
Even as your consciousness faded away with each dying breath you could still faintly feel her grip your shirt and cry out, tears hitting your pale and unresponsive face. You wanted to reach out and tell her that it’ll be fine, that you’ll always be with her even if it’s not physical. But you took your last breath, chest heaving as you tried to make it last, then you were gone.
Annabeth cried out in frustration, angry tears falling as she cradled your head to her chest, the blood from your mouth soaking into her gray tee but she didn’t care. Your sibling came back moments later covered in golden dust from the monster they killed, tears streaming down their face silently as they discovered their younger sibling unmoving and in the arms of the person they knew you loved most.
The trip back to camp was silent. Your sibling had quickly found another car and was now the one driving extremely cautiously now, heart and mind broken and a mess as they tried not to look at the backseat where you Annabeth resided. Annie had refused to leave you there, wanting to give you a proper burial like you deserved, she hadn’t let go of you since you passed.
Her heart in pieces when she rounded the car to check on you only to find you nearly dead. She’ll never get the image of your expression as you left this world, almost content, blood dripping from your mouth as your lips upturned into a small grin.
She’d never get to tell you how much she loved you.
Percy:
It’s been a week since your death in the camp infirmary and percy hadn’t left his navy blue sheets once. Your death had broke him mentally and emotionally, his motivation had completely dissipated once he heard the words leave Nicos lips, “I’m so sorry, Percy… they’re- they’re gone.”
Coming back home to camp wasn’t as happy as it usually was ror the son of Poseidon. He was immediately swarmed with multiple campers pitiful looks and apologetic greetings, making him question what exactly had happened while he was away visiting his mom and Paul. It was only when Nico had start3 apologizing when he asked what he was talking about.
Nicos face dawned with shocked realization, only shoving his hands in his pockets and mumbling a “Follow me” before he started towards the big house.
He started to worry, the worst scenarios coming to mind, everything but this.
Coming through the doors of the infirmary he noticed a familiar shade of (h/c) laying sprawled across one of the beds. His heart broke, stopping in his tracks with eyes wide and mouth agape as he took your form in. You looked broken and beat up, face covered him marks and cuts along with the rest of your body.
Will had come over to Percy sheepishly, his heart breaking when he noticed how the sea boys bottom lip quivered, sea green eyes now raging with emotions instead of their usual playfulness. Clearing his throat and crossing his arms over his chest he caught the son of Poseidon’s attention.
“We tried to contact you, but Chiron didn’t think it was this serious… It got really bad yesterday. You should go see them yourself…” He said quietly, emotions getting to the best of him. You were his friend too.
Percy’s feet began to control themselves, instinctively going over to your broken frame and delicately tracing your face with his fingertips. His heart rate picked up when he noticed had still you really were, he could barely see your chest moving as you struggled to breath. The question on his mind had finally left his lips, not looking away from you.
“What happened?” His voice raw with emotion, mixed with authority and sadness. Will could tell he was barely holding it together by the way his voice cracked. Will felt ashamed to tell him the answer, knowing that he should’ve been able to fix them but wasn’t able.
“There were some returning campers, they were being heavily attacked. Gorgans, Manticore, a few Empousai, it was bad.” He paused, letting the situation sink in, “Y/n was one of the few and only responders to the scene. They fought hard but in the end.. in the end they jumped in front of Emma when the manticore lunged.”
Will tried to keep his composure, knowing that if he broke down, so would Percy.
“From then on out it only got worse, they wouldn’t stop fighting and lost a lot of blood in the process. The empousai were not merciful once they found out who they were to you. They… took their time beating and torturing until Leo and Nico killed them. It’s touch and go from here.”
Percy’s eyes swam with tears, a few falling and dripping across your cold face. He bit his lip and took a seat on the ledge of the bed, now gripping your hand in his own as he silently declared he wasn’t leaving anytime soon.
Nico carefully made his way over to Will, placing a hand on his arm and giving a sorrowful look, “They don't have long left, I can feel them slipping away.” His attention turned to Percy who was trying so hard to keep it together, to remain strong for Y/n.
Percy smiled bitterly and scoffed at the tears that escaped. His voice wavered with sadness, “You’re going to be okay, I know you will be. You’re going to get better and we’re going to leave this place, this lifestyle, so you’ll be safe.”
He was losing his grip on his emotions, voice raw and breaking as he confessed his future plans with you.
“We’ll go to New Rome, we’ll finish school and we can move in together, I wanna put a ring on those pretty fingers of yours,” he admitted quietly, thumb trailing over your ring finger as he spoke. “I want us to raise kids together, I want to deal with them getting boyfriends and girlfriends and complain to you how they’re growing up too fast. I want to grow old with you and make jokes about old people stuff, like dentures.”
He laughed at his words, struggling to keep his smile happy as he looked over your face once more. His hands gripping your own tightly as if he was your lifeline.
But it didn’t seem to work.
Nico silently approached and rested his hand on Percy’s shoulder, reminding him of their presence in the room. Percy looked up at Nico, he looked so calm that the only giveaway he was sad was the tear tracks down his olive cheeks and his bloodshot eyes. He struggled to form the words needed to be said,
“I’m sorry, Percy… they’re- they’re gone.”
Frank:
You wanted nothing more than to reach out and grab onto Frank, stroke his soft cheeks and tell him that everything would be alright. But your body wouldn't allow it, the fates deeming it too merciful to grant you a proper goodbye to your loved ones.
Frank had spotted you amidst the chaos, breathing raggedly and unmoving. He felt his heartbeat quicken and his fingers aching to wrap around your frail body, to pull you close and help you back onto your feet. Before he even processed fully what was going on, he was sprinting full force at the scene, dodging various monster attacks and other elemental objects being thrown his way, his focus purely on getting to you.
Seeing an empousai limping itself toward you with hungry eyes he stood still and readied his bow, loading an arrow and aiming it straight for the monster. He released the shot, taking off as the creature burst into a puff of golden dust only a few feet away from you.
He dropped to his knees almost immediately, cradling your head in his hands as if you were made of glass. The fact that you weren’t moving, staring up blankly at him with a permanent look of horror across your cold face. The look from what he could only guess was the given reaction you had of the thing that put you in this state.
His large hand trailed up to your cheek, dragging his fingertips carefully across your features, committing them to his memory knowing it was most likely one of the last times he’ll get to see you. His forehead came down to rest against your own blood smeared one, whether it was your own or someone else’s he didn’t know and didn’t care.
His tears began falling, the fight surrounding you both faded away as his heart broke into pieces. He waited 2 years to tell you about his feelings only to find out you felt the same way this whole time, all that time wasted… now you we’re gone. You’d only been an official couple for three weeks now, he’d never get to go through milestones with you, never get to celebrate your anniversary, never get to make you feel like you were the only person on earth.
Percy had stumbled upon the heart wrenching scene while searching for the rest of his team. Seeing Franks broken state and a motionless you on the ground pull3d at his heartstrings, knowing how long Frank had kept his feelings for you secret. He couldn’t imagine the pain he was going through right now, though you were still breathing faintly, he knew you didn’t have long left.
Frank lifted his tired red eyes towards your own, reading the emotions they conveyed as your breathing became more ragged. His breath hitched, not wanting to believe you’ll soon be gone, gone from this world and gone from his touch.  He traced your features once more, fingers trailing over your chapped lips.
He leaned down with an unsure mission, to show one last act of his love. Brushing his lips across yours and leaving a soft kiss as a parting gift, “I love you Y/n L/n, I’ll see you again soon.”
And with that you took your last breath, leaving your love and your friends behind you.
Hazel:
She hated it. She hated ice cream.
She hated the sweet taste, how much it made her brain freeze and bring her sorrow instead of happiness. She hated how it revive old memories, ones she tried to bury deep beneath all the happy ones. She had lost someone she loved, all because of that damn frozen treat.
You were both out on the town, the Argo II having just taken port whilst Leo made repairs and refueled the ship before the next sail. You wanted to take Hazel out for ice cream being the amazing and thoughtful partner you are, but a sweet tooth trip didn’t end with melted cones and sticky hands.
Making your way out of the small shop and into the dark outside world with ice cream cones in both of your hands you felt a bit uneasy. Something was nagging at you, telling you to be careful of your surroundings, to stop thinking about how cute the cinnamon haired girl was when she ate the creamy strawberry cone too quickly.
But of course you did the opposite, now throwing your head back in laughter at the brain freeze she’d gotten from her previous actions. That was when it happened, when one of the worlds most joyful noises went silent.
An arrow straight through your neck, ripping your vocal cords and halting your laugh. You sputtered and choked, hands coming up to the unfamiliar steel object that remained embedded in your neck. Hazel screamed as she went to hold you up with one arm, the other coming up to pry your hands away from the wound, knowing it’ll only make it worse if you try to remove it.
Tears streamed down her dark cheeks, golden hues glistening with confusion and fear as she realized how hopeless she was in this moment. She searched around for the culprit but found nothing or no one in sight, so she shouted loudly, asking anyone nearby by  for help, but no one was really walking the streets this late at night.
The ice cream owner scrambled outside, the old man's face dropping as he noticed what the commotion was about. He struggled to find his phone, searching his pockets frantically before finding a flip phone and dialing emergency contacts, stuttering his way through the phone call before he rushed over to check your condition.
It hurt to talk, you couldn’t talk, or breathe even. Your inability to swallow caused drool and blood to flow freely from your lips onto the pavement below you, you felt disgusting. Now laying back against the brick wall of the shop you felt Hazels tears dropping on your skin, her lips moving in an attempt to speak but no words would come. You smiled weakly, reaching up to brush her cinnamon strands from her face, trailing your fingers down her jawline until your palm rested against her tear stained face, “It’s okay.” You tried to say, only to end up wincing when only more blood dribbled out instead of your voice.
You could hear the sirens coming down the street, but by the time they get here it’ll be too late. You could feel your life force slipping away from you with each second that passes. Your lungs burned from the lack of oxygen, the lack of blood in your body causing your body to grow weak, and your eyelids struggling to stay. You were fading fast, but you wanted let her know it was okay.
She leaned into your palm, crying silently, pleading for you to hold on and that help was on the way. But you couldn’t stay, it was too late.
The old man reached out and rested his hand on her shaking shoulder. Tears built up in his old and drooping eyes from the sight of someone so young having their life stolen from them. Hazel felt you slipping away, your hand growing limp and your body heat growing cold. Just like ice cream.
Leo:
He promised he wouldn’t cry. He told you that when you both decided to be together. You made him promise you that, and he did, with a goofy smile and shining eyes that he’d never shed tears again. Guess he’d have to apologize for that too.
Visiting yours and his mother’s grave every year on October 31st has become a tradition. Telling the others he’d rather not go celebrating Halloween because he had work to do and then ending up sleeping in the graveyard had also become apart of it too. He’d specifically asked for you to be buried near his mother, begging your m/p to allow it with tears in his puppy like eyes that you adored so much. Eventually you had your own little spot across from Esperanza Valdez.
He stared at your picture that rested above your grave, the candles illuminating the name and date etched onto your grave making it all the more real to him. He’d already lost one of the most important people in his life and now he’s lost another, and here he is, sat in front of their graves trying accept the fact that they’ve moved on.
He began apologizing, trying to finish what was left unfinished the day of your death. The two of you had been arguing over the fact that he had voted against your capabilities to take on an important quest during a counselors meeting. You just wanted him to look at you like everyone else did, not as someone helpless and unable to take on a quest such as the one at hand.
He’d said some pretty hurtful things in the heat of the moment, bringing up the few times he had to save your life because you were being too reckless and risky in your actions. You recoiled from him, taking up the quest anyways to prove him wrong, that you could in fact take care of yourself. The one time you actually couldn’t.
When your quest mates came back without you, eyes glistening with tears and gaze fearful when they noticed a searching Leo coming towards them, craning his head to see a familiar mop of hair amongst the welcoming party. With a heavy heart and sad electric hues, Jason wrapped a strong arm around his best friends shaking shoulders.
Leo’s chocolate gaze raised to look up at the tall male in denial, whispering “No...no no no” to himself and shaking his head harshly. Angry tears fell from his closed eyes, thinking that if he doesn’t look it won’t be true, it’s all just some fucked up nightmare and he’d wake up with you in his arms.
The discovery of your death had been pushed away from his thoughts, refusing to look or do anything that reminded him of you in the slightest way. Your cabin on the Argo II had been blocked off, the door sealed shut and never to be opened again, your belongings still locked inside. The items littered about in his room were still there along with the few items you left in the bunker as well, yet they were soon to be moved to a little box he built so he’d no longer feel the ache in his heart every time he searched for a shirt or went grab a tool.
However, no matter how much he wished to forget, he always ended up here, in tears and pleading for you to come back to him. For hours on end he’d sob, his body shaking with each breath he struggled to take, choking from the lack of air his cries wouldn’t allow him to take.
He always ended up here, sleeping on your grave, curled up in a fetal position. He’d always end up apologizing for the things he did and for breaking his promise to you, saying sorry for not being there to protect you, and saying sorry for not showing how much he loved you while you were still around to see it.
Nico:
The fields of asphodel was a horrendously bland place. It was overpopulated, boring, and scary in the sense that you don’t know where you are or who you are. The fields were filled with those who hadn’t done enough evil to be sent to the fields of punishment but hadn’t done enough good to achieve elysium either. You often wondered what kind of person you were while you were among the living, obviously not too good or too bad considering you ended up here in a wheat field to spend the rest of your days.
The old and lost souls that wandered about weren’t of much company, though when they were company, they weren’t the best of company, always dreading every new day in this field and spreading even more negative energy.
You often thought of being reborn, maybe just recycling your soul out for someone else would be worth it after all. You wondered what the body would look like, an old soul inside of a entirely new and different body than it was used to. Then again who’s to say that your soul wasn’t already an old one? One that had been wandering around for years.
Those thoughts stopped when a boy with a messy mop of ink black hair and onyx black eyes to match had come to visit. New and old inhabitants of the fields swarmed him, begging and pleading with the olive toned boy to release them from this endless loop of blandness. He merely sneered at them, threatening to set them free into the fields of punishment instead.
It had been such a long time since you saw a new face around here and the first time you saw a living one at that. You admired him silently for his next few visits, sensing that he was searching for someone each time he came, his neck stretching over the sulking souls that stumbled about. So you built up your courage, seeking the darkly dressed boy out before he had the chance to leave once more.
Though your meeting went a little differently than anticipated. His pale face somehow had gotten even paler when you tapp3 him on the shoulder to gain his attention. His dark eyes that were surrounded by equally dark circles underneath eyes seemed to widen in shock, his mouth failing to form words. You frowned and cocked your head at this. There may not be any mirrors down here but you were sure you weren’t that ugly.
His chapped lips uttered a name you were unfamiliar with, “Y-Y/n?”
You shook your head and looked around you, “Who…? I’m sorry I don’t know anyone by that name..” you apologize whilst casting your eyes to the wheat below you, “Is that who you’re searching for?” His expression turned into a cocktail of emotions, anger and sadness mixed with a little bit of regret.
“Fuck… fuck!” He shouted, tugging at his hair harshly as tears appeared in the corners of his eyes. He stared at your confused expression in heartbreak, you really didn’t remember a thing. He reached forwards and cupped your face in his hands, dark hues boring into your own e/c ones, still searching for something.
You should’ve pulled back from this stranger, curious or not you still didn’t know him. But then again his touch felt so familiar, this felt so right, like it was a normal thing to happen. That feeling alone was intoxicating enough to make you stay still, letting his roam over your face with tears falling freely now.
His head went your neck, hair tickling your neck as he sobbed quietly, arms curling around your waist like a scared child. You remained still however, a hand hesitantly coming up to his locks and patting them gently.
He began apologizing profusely, spouting promises of your escape quietly in your ear, promises of his return.
Never once did he break a promise, showing his face everyday with a sad smile and more plans to share with you underneath the poplar tree. He had since then introduced himself as Nico and told you that your name was Y/n, but he would never answer you when you asked how you knew each other, changing the subject before you could further investigate.
Though you didn’t care these days. You were perfectly content with spreading your days in this bland paradise if that meant seeing Nico each and every day. He spouted promises and plans of taking you with him to the surface, but you didn’t care. Seeing him here, knowing there was something more between you both whilst you were among the living, and him taking his time to come visit you amongst the dead, that meant so much more to you than anytime you could imagine on the surface.
Jason:
He knew how dangerous dating a mortal was. He’d been warned multiple times by his friends when he talked about them and the urge he had to protect the, from anything. He couldn’t help but adore your cute habits and the way your face scrunched up at his cringe worthy stories of him and his best friends acting like idiots.
One serious downside to dating a mortal was not being able to see them each day like Percy can see Annabeth or how Frank can see Hazel. Jason would have to travel on his own spare time to go see them, sometimes taking a break at your house when a quest was close by. There were some incidents however where he’d be on a quest with other campers causing them to meet you and question your eagerness to accept strangers inside.
Of course, during a quest with Leo and another camper named Michelle they had to travel through y/h/t and Jason took the chance to stop by and visit. Leo of course had questioned the whole ordeal, wondering what Jason’s relationship to you was and why he stalled so much during the journey through town. They could have easily made it into the next town before sundown but it’s as if Jason didn’t want to move on this fast.
So three demigods had ended up at your door, being welcomed inside a bit too quickly for Michelle’s taste. She had already been a little more anxious than she usually is, almost like she had been itching for a fight to break out. She’d been like that ever since the encounter with Enchida back in Brooklyn, on edge and her hand permanently residing on her sheathed dagger.
You smiled widely at Jason before toning it down, knowing that none of his friends know who you are or what you are to Jason. You gave each of them warm smiles and leaned against the door asking what you could do to help and quickly agreeing to be their shelter.
Bed arrangements were more than puzzling to Leo. You had insisted on Jason taking the bed while you lay on the couch but he had also refused, claiming it was your bed and your home and he couldn’t take that away from you, even for one night. He watched with analytical eyes, though in his mind he kept wondering where he would end up resting his head.
Finally thee was a compromise on Michelle and you both taking the bed and Jason and Leo remaining in the living room on the couches. You were a bit uneasy around Michelle, not only because of the fact she was a stranger but also because she had become tense, not speaking and religiously gripping onto her weapon which she didn’t even take off while sleeping.
You kept the door open a crack, slightly scared of the black haired girl next to you. You told yourself repeat not to fall asleep, to not trust this girl that gave a bad vibe, you even thought about going in there with Jason and Leo instead. But your body was so tired.. your eyelids drooping low… and before you knew it, you were sleeping.
The next morning was quiet. Almost too quiet, Jason thought to himself when he sat upright on the leather couch. He nibbled his bottom lip, looking over at Leo was still knocked out, fast asleep with drool escaping his mouth. He didn’t think Michelle would notice if he snuck into the room and woke up you up for a chance to watch the sunrise before he left.
So he crept towards your cracked door, tiptoeing over so he wouldn’t wake the others. Though as he approaches he hears sobs, soft and ugly sobs coming from your room and they didn’t sound like they were coming from you, that was not you. His heart picked up a little, wondering why someone was awake and sobbing like this so early in the morning.
Upon opening the door he understood why.
Michelle sat there on the bed, narrow eyes red and full of tears as her hands were frantically moving over an open wound. But not on her, no. The open wound was on you, multiple stab wounds to the chest area, seemingly in a panicked way. Though you were no longer living that much was obvious, your eyes had glazed over, mouth unmoving and dripping blood, and your chest unmoving with any breath.
Jason froze, eyes wide and heart shattering at the sight of his beloved dead on the bed they had sometimes shared. He whimpered involuntarily, “Y/n…” this had caught Michelle’s attention, her panicked gaze landing on his pain ridden face.
“I-I didn’t mean to,” she stammered, “I thought th-that… I wouldn’t have- Jason please…” He raised his hand, biting his lip and turning his face away. He dropped his hand like it was dead weight, reluctantly shuffling over to your cold figure and cradling your face in his shaking hands.
“Get out.” He spoke lowly, voice quiet as to not startle Leo. Michelle removed her hands from your bloody abdomen, shaking at his demand as she struggled to get out of the stained sheets. She lingered by the edge of the bed, hesitating only to be yelled at. She scrambled out of the room and ran out of the house in tears.
Not too long after all the commotion had begun Leo had woken from his sleep. Sleepily he entered the bedroom, rubbing his eyes and complaining about the noise, that’s when he opened his nut brown eyes and saw a weeping Jason holding you closely to his chest. He knew then and there that you were much more than a kind stranger to Jason, much more.
Piper:
To say that you were the favorite child of G/p was a serious understatement. Any of the other Olympian gods got sick of hearing them going on on rants about your accomplishments since they had claimed you, saying things like, “Wow can you imagine the things they would have done had I claimed them sooner?”
Honestly, they were so sick of it, but found it enduring at times, the influence making them sweeter to their own kids in return. Any chance to make a appearance at camp was needed or acceptable, they would be there at the snap of their fingers, demanding to know where their children were.
So when the dreadful news of your passing had reached mount Olympus, it was chaos not only there but also here on earth. Camp half blood was in mourning, one of their strongest being struck down was heartbreaking and nerve wracking. Because if it can happen to you, it could just as easily happen to them.
G/p didn’t take too long on figuring out who or what was the cause of your painful death, of course that meant the cause of it all had hell to pay. However, they were more than shocked to find out that your significant other Piper McLean, daughter of Aphrodite, had been a part of it all.
Camp Half Blood had never seen worse days, having an angry god/goddess rampaging on your home wasn’t an ideal average day. But having a an angry god/goddess being pissed at you, that was a whole other level of scary.
Piper and g/p were at each other’s throats constantly, g/p whisking them away to some secluded place or on top mount Olympus just to scream at her some more. Though Piper wouldn’t take it, screaming in frustration right back at them until her voice broke and the tears started pouring down.
G/p scoffed and rolled their eyes, “My child is dead and you’re crying. You’re the reason they’re gone in the first place!” They screamed, throwing their arms around in angry gestures, not caring how angry Aphrodite will be with them later on. When Piper didn’t answer back with yet another witty comment they continued.
“You think just because you can worm yourself in to others hearts so easily that you can just break my child’s in two?!” They were fuming now, fists clenched and pounding into the pillar that stood beside them. “They should still be here and not in a damn grave!”
Piper glared back at them, hot tears lining her kaleidoscope eyes, “I loved them too!” They went silent, staring at the sobbing daughter of Aphrodite shocked. Piper continued with a shaky voice, tears still streaming down her face, “I think about it everyday, wishing it were me instead of them. I wish I had died instead of them, because I died the minute they left this world.”
Do you know how much I begged and pleaded with the fates to take my life instead? I wish I died instead, I wish that everyday.” Piper confessed, showing how much self hatred she had dealt with since your passing. Every night she cried herself to sleep, curled up with your pillow snuggled up beside her. Sometimes she’d be half asleep, hugging your pillow and believe that your death was just a nightmare.
But reality hit her all at once when she realized how cold the other side of the need was.
G/p was speechless, they didn’t know how much it affected them, they didn’t think of the countless times they saw Aphrodite cooing over the twos not so secretive glances towards one another, nor did they think of the time they caught you two cuddled up in together in your bed, pipers arms wrapped around you securely and your arms hanging over her waist, lips pressed to her forehead.
Guilt flooded over g/p instantly, anger residing when their soft gaze washed over the broken beauty queen. They were speechless, not knowing what to say except, “I’m sorry…” before snapping their fingers quietly and disappearing like they were never even there.

Chapter 186: Interlude
Snow hummed contently, as he kissed her deeply. She lay sated atop his bare chest, after a passionate bout of morning lovemaking. It had been a week since they returned to Storybrooke and it had been pure bliss. They had done everything they promised to do in that short week. They had picnics in the woods where they pretended to get lost for hours, made love on their picnic blanket down by the Toll Bridge, spent some much needed downtime with their children and family in the form of dinners at Granny's, barbecues in their backyard, and trips to the reserve.
They had also tended to business by telling their friends and family of their upcoming undertaking. The uniting of the realms. It took a bit for Granny, the Dwarves, and James and Aphrodite to get their heads around it, but when the Goddess revealed the all the realms had once been one, nearly three thousand years ago during and when the Crystal Kingdom had both existed and been in its prime, everyone easily got on board.
Next, in a Town Hall meeting, Snow revealed the idea to the residents of Storybrooke. She and David answered their concerns, which included things like crowding, increased crime, and just general fear of change. Snow assured them that a good curse, as she had coined it, would expand the land that Storybrooke occupied and the magic of the chalice would keep them concealed. Aphrodite described it as sort of a pocket dimension and Snow continued by assuring that all the Kingdoms or realms would still have clear borders and each would still have an independent leader responsible for governing their realm. Regina chimed in to assure they she and Snow would provide those leaders with guidance and support. Then came the question of security to which Snow answered that David would be hiring many more deputies and they would work in conjunction with other Kingdoms to train their Knights and peace keepers for a new type of policing. She had already appointed her husband as Supreme Sheriff, General of their police and Knights and essentially King to her Queen. David promised that Emma would take up the full mantle as Sheriff of Storybrooke as well and that James would have an integral role in training new Knights and deputies. Xander would join them as well and they would be hiring many more deputies, with the dwarves returning to their roles as Royal Guard.
For the most part, most seemed to accept this new undertaking, though it was not without scrutiny or even fear of the unknown. But that was to be expected. And now that they had rested for a few days and declared their intentions to their people, Snow and David prepared to begin their journey around the realms with their idea. They would be starting with Agrabah and then traveling to the other Kingdoms in the Enchanted Forest. They had enlisted Hyde to travel back to the Land of Untold Stories to inform any left behind that had not arrived with him aboard the dirigible years ago.
After they had visited the necessary Kingdoms in the Enchanted Forest, they would journey to Oz to speak to Glinda and the other witches, then Neverland to visit the Immortal Tribe. They decided they would enlist Whale to travel to the Land Without Color since so little was known about it to them and magic was a bit of a hard sell there.
Then Olympus would be the final visit and they would journey there with Aphrodite to speak to Zeus. They were a tad worried about that one, but Aphrodite assured them that even if Zeus was against it that they could count on her, Hermes, and Poseidon's support for sure. And she was certain Zeus could be convinced.
This was quite possibly the largest undertaking they had ever attempted, but they did not fear it, for they were going to do it as they did everything. Together.
She mewled and bit her bottom lip, as she felt her husband's lips skim her neck and his hands roam with passionate intent.
"We need to get up, my love. We have quite the journey ahead," she reminded. He sighed and pecked her on the lips.
"I suppose you're right...but how about you join me in the shower? We can save time that way," he prompted.
"How is that going to save time?" she asked skeptically.
"Uh...it's not. I just want shower sex with you," he admitted and she laughed, as he pulled her against him.
"Well, I guess it's a good thing we want the same thing," she responded. He grinned and pulled her out of bed and into the bathroom.

Seattle
2018
Major Donovan sat down across from Cecily Clayton and placed a tape recorder on the table.
"As you can imagine, I have many questions. But let's start first with your father," she said, as she put the file down in front of her. It was all the information the FBI had on him, complete with his mugshot from when Detective Rogers arrested him for what he did to the Nolans. But this was only the tip of the iceberg.
"And I haven't heard what I get in return for answering your questions," Cecily responded.
"You were caught on camera stealing highly valuable and priceless artifacts from an ancient civilization. There is no scenario in which you don't serve jail time for that. But if you tell me what you know...then I can make sure it's a nice prison," the Major offered.
"Nice try...but you want the information I know about what just happened in this city and you'll do anything to get it. I want to walk," she demanded.
"That's not going to happen," the Major argued.
"Then my lips are sealed and I want a lawyer," Cecily responded. The Major was silent for a moment.
"House arrest and an ankle bracelet. How long depends on what you have and you'd be required to work for us at every stage," Major Donovan offered.
"It better be a penthouse with all the amenities," Cecily bargained.
"Depends on the information. If it's good...you get a decent apartment without rats. If it's great...then maybe we'll upgrade from there," the Major stated, as she pointed to the file.
"Start talking...because if you think we don't have ways of getting information out of you, off the books, so to speak, then you're sadly mistaken, Ms. Clayton," the Major argued. Cecily smirked.
"Well...that didn't take long. Five minutes and you're already threatening torture," she quipped, as she looked at her father's picture.
"In this land, my father was an eccentric museum owner with a flare for rare and priceless artifacts. But to all the other realms, he was known as the Collector," she revealed. The Major raised an eyebrow.
"Other realms?" she questioned.
"You don't really think that this Earth is the be all end all of the Universe, do you?" Cecily questioned.
"Are you saying this is about extraterrestrials?" Donovan questions. Cecily laughed.
"No...nothing so pedestrian. I'm talking about humans for other lands and earths that are very different from this one. But that's just the tip of the iceberg," Cecily replied.
"And what did your father collect?" Major Donovan questioned.
"The same thing he collected here. Rare artifacts, priceless items...even magical people," she revealed.
"And how do you expect me to believe such things?" the Major asked.
"You saw magic right before your eyes and you're still denying it?" Cecily questioned in returned and snorted.
"Typical muggle," she goaded, as she glowered at the other woman.
"Fine...so tell us all about this magic and where the Nolans took all those people," she responded.
"Oh, that's a really long story and I don't like this room. It's cold and this chair is hard. I also need a good bottle of wine and maybe a lobster dinner. I miss the east coast fare," she replied. The Major picked up another file that had just been delivered.
"In 1983, thirty-five years ago, David Nolan was found on the side of the road in rural Maine with a stab wound to his side and his infant daughter in his arm," she said, as she showed her the file.
"Thirty-five years later, the same man is serving as a detective for the Hyperion Heights Police Department and has barely aged a day. Can you tell me that story?" she questioned. Cecily smirked.
"I can tell you everything if my demands are met," Cecily retorted.
"Fine...you'll get your cushy penthouse apartment in downtown Seattle, whatever food and wine you want, and you'll serve your time there for the next five years. I don't think I have to tell you how easy you're getting off considering the federal crimes you've committed," the Major offered.
"Does the ankle bracelet come in just basic black or can I get it diamond encrusted?" Cecily asked sarcastically, as the Major slammed her hand down on the desk.
"This is your last warning, Ms. Clayton. Talk or I'll get it beaten out of you," she growled. Cecily smirked.
"Deal accepted, but you might want to make that apartment in Boston, because you're on the wrong coast if you want to find the Nolans...or should I say, the Charmings?" she replied. The Major's eyes narrowed at her and she regained her composure, as she put her phone to her ear.
"Fuel the jet. We're relocating to Boston. Make the arrangements for our stay...and our co-berating witness," she said, before hanging up.
"Then Boston it is, Ms. Clayton. Then while you're gorging yourself on fine wine and lobster, I expect to hear everything," Major Donovan replied. Cecily smirked.
"Then you better order for yourself and your staff, because this is a very long, complicated, and sordid story that will change the way you think about your world. This story will blur the lines between reality and fiction and you'll learn that everything you thought you knew is wrong," Cecily said ominously in a way that actually made the Major believe her.

Rose and Fandral arrived at Hermes' temple on Mt. Olympus and the bubble around them disappeared. They followed the Goddess hand in hand to her viewing pool and she waved her hands over it.
"Are there any survivors at all? Of Asgard, I mean?" Fandral questioned. She turned to him and nodded.
"Yes...and it appears that will settle in a small country on Midgard...Earth. But I'm afraid that no one was spared the cataclysm of what just occurred. The disruption was so devastating that we even felt it here on Olympus," she responded.
"Does this have anything to do with that...that bastard that slaughtered Thor and my people?" Fandral questioned.
"Yes...but you must know that Thor managed to survive his battle with the Titan," she revealed.
"Thor is alive?" he asked hopefully.
"Yes...but half of all life in that nine realms has been wiped out," she responded.
"Half of all life? How is something like that possible? Even a war or natural disaster could not do damage like that," Rose surmised.
"No...but a person possessing the right power can," Hermes replied.
"I've known him to decimate planets and systems alike, but even for him, it takes time. Yet you make it sound like half of life was just wiped out in an instant," Fandral remarked.
"Because it was," she responded.
"That's not possible!" he refuted, but then Rose saw a haunted look enter her husband's eyes.
"Unless…" Fandral uttered, as he searched Goddess' eyes and she nodded.
"By the look on your face...I take it that you are familiar with the Infinity stones," Hermes surmised.
"All too well," he responded.
"The Infinity Stones? I remember those being mentioned when I was reading Asgardian history," Rose said, as he took her hands.
"Yes...the Infinity stones are elemental crystals of great power. Describing the scope of their power is...difficult or at least it was. After seeing what we saw in Seattle, they're not completely dissimilar to star gems, except greater in raw power and obviously are not tied to people like star gems are," he explained. Hermes nodded.
"Each stone controls an element of reality, but not meteorological elements like star gems. But rather things like reality, power, time, soul, space, and mind. And this being...this monster managed to acquire all six," Hermes explained.
"And that allowed him to cause this devastation?" Rose asked.
"With a literal snap of his fingers," she revealed.
"And that's why the story stopped?" she asked. Hermes opened the book, revealing that since then the story had resumed.
"A new author has picked up where the last one left off, but these realms have experienced such devastation that I fear their stories will have difficulty moving forward. Life cannot just resume after something like this. People will not just move on. Healing from this will take...generations, if at all," she said.
"What of him? What of the monster that did this?" Fandral questioned.
"He has done what he meant to do and has disappeared. I have no doubt that your friend and others like him will seek justice against him. But I fear that even making him pay for his crimes will be an empty victory and can never fill the void he created," Hermes said.
"We should go to him...to that Earth. Thor doesn't know you live and perhaps finding that he has one close friend that is not dead will help him," Rose suggested.
"There is nothing I can do to help Thor," he replied dejectedly.
"I disagree, but I understand that you don't wish to take Rose and the children into an unstable universe," Hermes stated.
"As long as that monster draws breath...it is a risk I cannot and will not take with my family," he said, as he took her hands in his own. She sighed, but did not argue further. However, this was one story she would be closely monitoring, for if the time came where this threat was gone, she was going to see to it that her husband connected to his roots again.

Breakfast at the Charming residence was lively, as usual, with David in the kitchen making a mountain of pancakes for his hungry family. Snow was still packing for their trip, while he took care of feeding them all. While the kids and everyone else were eating at the table, Xander moved into the kitchen and sat at the island. He sipped at his juice and was glad that his detox period was behind him. He didn't worry about slipping now that he had his memories back, but he was relieved that he had gone through proper treatment.
"David…" he started to say, as his son turned from the griddle, having finished the last of the food.
"Dad...you don't have to do that," he protested.
"I know...but I still think we need to talk," Xander insisted. David sighed and delivered the rest of the food to the table, before returning.
"It's not your fault...I don't blame you," David assured.
"And I'm grateful for that, but it doesn't change the fact that you spent two years pulling my drunk ass out of bars. It doesn't change the fact that I could see, even through my stupor, at how angry and disappointed you were," he replied, as his son sighed again. He and Emma were a lot alike in this way. Both of them liked to put up walls when it came to their emotions. They were more than ready to help others deal with their problems, but neither of them liked dealing with their own, as Snow had pointed out to him more than once over the years.
"It doesn't change the fact that you needed me...that Summer needed me for those two years when you thought your wife and the love of your life was dead. When Summer thought her mother was dead. When you thought your son was dead," he continued.
"Dad…" David protested.
"I broke my promise," Xander added.
"Not on purpose...I know that now," David insisted.
"I know, but it doesn't change the fact that it happened," Xander insisted in return.
"Clayton did that to you. If there was one thing that man knew...it was revenge," David replied, as he put a hand on his father's shoulder.
"But he's gone and this time, he's not coming back," he added. Xander nodded.
"Not gonna lie...I wish I could have seen him finally go down," he mentioned.
"Well, it was satisfying, especially since his arrogance caused his own demise," David said.
"Hung himself on accident...yeah I don't think I could have come up with anything more fitting than that," he agreed.
"So...we're okay?" Xander asked. David smiled.
"Better than okay," he agreed.
"But we won't be if we don't get over to the table for breakfast. Between Leo and Bobby, the food isn't going to last long," he joked. Xander chuckled.
"I get Bobby...he's going through another growing spurt. But what's Leo's excuse?" he joked back.
"Charming metabolism...your fault Gramps, not mine," Leo retorted.
"Suppose you have a point...now pass the pancakes," he agreed, just as Snow came down the stairs. David joined her and kissed her tenderly.
"We're all packed," she informed.
"Are you ready for this?" he asked. She nodded.
"I am," she replied, as he took her hand. They joined their children and ate breakfast with them. After their stomachs were filled and they cleaned up, David carried their backpacks full of clothes and other essentials. Since they did not foresee any danger in what essentially was a diplomatic visit, they gave Summer and Bobby the choice to either go with them or stay behind with Regina. The two had opted to go with their parents, while their three grown children would stay behind, as they had jobs they were eager to resume.
They journeyed out into the backyard, as their older children and Xander prepared to see them off. Hugs were exchanged, while Snow and David assured that they would be back in no time. With that, David tossed one of their many beans in their possession and a vertical portal opened. The four of them held hands and journeyed through the portal.

The Queen observed the stone palace, as they approached it and the guards at the entrance that wore masks in the likeness of jackals. She also heard an inhuman roaring, which was a bit startling.
"Don't worry...those are just the Horned King's army of undead soldiers," Mephisto assured.
"Zombies?" she asked, quirking an eyebrow. He chuckled.
"We prefer undead. They only eat mortal flesh when we tell them to and they don't create more undead with their bite," he corrected. She wrinkled her nose.
"Thanks for the distinction," she replied sarcastically.
"So...what exactly is a Horned King? And how does he make these undead soldiers?" she inquired.
"With some of the darkest magic in existence. It got him banished and would have got him executed, if they had the power to do it. He's possibly been here longer than any of us...roughly almost ten thousand years if the Pharaoh is to be believed," Mephisto explained.
"Pharaoh?" she questioned. He smirked.
"Essentially the supreme ruler of this place, not that there is much to rule. He too was banished here, by the Olympians. If the stories are true...he was worse than the all the titans put together," he stated.
"Now that is someone I'd be interested in meeting," Regina replied, as they went inside and she soon found herself in a circular room with a table that was likely some kind of war room.
"Who the hell is this?" a female voice asked. The Queen turned to find a willowy blonde woman dressed in a very tight green leather bodysuit, which accentuated her already pronounced curves.
"Easy Amora...she is a new arrival. Another cast out by those that call themselves heroes. The woman scoffed.
"Heroes...such an oxymoron. I've tempted many a supposed hero into my bed. They are not as virtuous as they claim," she responded.
"Normally, I'd agree with you, but the pair that constantly ousted me are sickeningly good and true love always wins the day for them," she spat distastefully.
"You're right...that's nauseating," Amora quipped.
"So...what do we call you?" she questioned. The Queen smirked.
"The Evil Queen is my well earned moniker...so you may refer to me as Your Majesty," she responded. Amora snorted derisively.
"Yeah...that's not happening here, Queenie," she retorted. The Queen regarded her for a beat and then nodded curtly.
"Regina will do then," she responded, as she noticed a huge figure in the corner. The man had to be over seven-feet tall and wore heavy armor, except for his arms. They were not covered, but one could not see the true skin, for his arms were stained in crimson. He had a red cape as part of his armor and his face was hidden behind a mask in the likeness of an antlered skull mask. He was probably the most terrifying thing she had ever seen and that was saying quite a lot.
"And I'm assuming this must be the Horned King?" she inquired.
"So I've been told," Amora responded.
"Does it speak?" Regina asked. The blonde woman shrugged.
"I've been told he can, but I've never heard it. He mostly just grunts and breathes heavily," she replied.
"Unnerving and a bit creepy," the Queen commented.
"Especially when one has no idea what's beneath that mask," Amora agreed.
"So...when do I get to meet this supposed Pharaoh?" the Queen questioned.
"You don't get to meet him. He'll decide if you can have an audience with him," another female voice interjected. Regina looked up to find a dark-haired, seemingly middle aged woman, as she swept into the room in a long, dark cloak.
"And who the hell are you?" the Queen inquired.
"Many things...including far more powerful than you, newcomer. But you can call me...Mim," she replied mysteriously…

When they returned from Olympus, only a mere hour later, Rose and Fandral retired for the night. But sleep didn't seem to be in the cards for Fandral on that night, so instead of keeping Rose awake with his tossing and turning, he elected to get up. He padded onto the veranda outside the royal chambers, shirtless and relished the gentle evening breeze on his bare skin. He knew what this was mostly. Survivor's guilt. While most of his people had not been so lucky, Hela nearly slaying him and his falling through that breach as Asgard collapsed had been the best thing that had ever happened to him.
He had found true love; something he didn't think was possible for a warrior like him. He had three beautiful children with the love of his life. He had gained everything, while his oldest friends had lost everything. It made him wonder what superior being had decided to smile on him, but not his friends. To him, he was no more deserving of happiness than they were.
He wasn't surprised when his brooding was interrupted by a pair of arms encircling his waist. He smiled, despite his mood, and pulled her into his arms, as he dropped a kiss on her ebony hair.
"I was hoping I wouldn't wake you," he said.
"I don't sleep well without the man I love by my side, holding me in his arms," she replied, as she kissed him tenderly.
"And I'm glad I did wake up, because I would never wish for more sleep when my husband needs me," she replied. He sighed.
"I know you are having a bout of survivor's guilt and after all that we learned, that's not surprising. In fact, it's very understandable," she reasoned.
"But I would never regret where my life has led...I just wish things had turned out so well for my friends," he replied.
"Of course you do. But do you really think your friends would begrudge you happiness?" she asked. He shook his head.
"No...I know they wouldn't," he agreed.
"Then honor their memory by being happy," she said.
"For my friends that have passed...I think I can do that. But Thor…" he replied.
"That's why I believe we should go. I think he deserves to know that he has not lost everyone. He has one friend that he doesn't even know is alive," she reasoned.
"I'm just not sure that it is a good idea," he answered.
"Because of this...mad titan?" she asked.
"That's part of it...I mean he did just commit genocide on half a universe," he answered.
"But it's more than that. What if seeing me makes Thor feel worse?" he questioned. Her brow furrowed.
"You do not think he will be happy to see that you are alive?" she asked in confusion.
"No...I think he will and I would love for you and the children to meet him finally. But...what if he looks at what I have gained and it only serves as a reminder to him of everything he has lost?" he asked. She put her arms around him and rested her head on his shoulder.
"I think you are focusing on the negative, my love. I think finding that you are alive and well could only bring happiness to one of your oldest friends," she told him. He looked at her, as she lifted her head and he gently caressed her beautiful face with his hand.
"You are as beautiful as you are persuasive, my Rose," he finally agreed. She smiled at him and took his hand.
"Then can I persuade you to come back to bed?" she tempted. He smirked.
"I'm not sure sleep will be easy, my angel," he replied, to which she gave him a sly smirk.
"Good...because sleep is not what I had in mind," she said. He smirked and she yelped, as he swept her into his arms.
"Well, in that case...our bed awaits," he replied, as he carried her back into their chambers.

A portal opened in the desert of Agrabah and deposited the four of them. Summer and Bobby looked around in wonder, as they had arrived on a cliff side overlooking an incredible, expansive city.
"Wow...so this is Agrabah?" Bobby asked. Snow and David smiled, as they joined hands.
"It is...and that's the palace," David replied, as he and Snow shared a smile at the wide eyes of their children, for they were seeing their beloved book that they had been raised with come to life before their eyes. Now, they would begin the journey of consulting all the Kingdoms and then bringing everyone in their nine realms of story together...

I know you like the idea of Jason reincarnating, but for a one shot idea maybe a reunion with Jason and some of the other 7 in Elysium. Only if you want to if course
I’m all for any idea in all honesty. So here is an Elysium story that is short but hopefully enjoyable???
(Also, thanks guys for 100 followers!)
Death is inevitable.
Those were words all demigods found themselves having to live with. Heroes died in battles constantly, it wasn’t a secret. Sometimes they win battles and do so for years to come and other times that doesn’t happen for heroes. Plain and simple logic.
Jason Grace knew death was coming. He’d heard it himself, that five letter word that had been haunting him for months on end until, finally, he had to fall. It didn’t matter to him if he died now or later, Romans were raised to believe that dying in battle was an honor. It was an honor for Jason because his death meant that he saved someone else from never seeing their family or friends again.
The blonde sixteen year old hoped he wouldn’t be forgotten by his friends. He hoped wherever Apollo and Meg were on their journey to save all five Oracle’s, that they were safe. He hoped Apollo would remember to keep his promise and to remember what it felt like to be human. He hoped Piper would find her true self back in Oklahoma. He hoped Percy and Annabeth would be safe and happy back in New York. He hoped Frank lived to see a stronger version of himself. He hoped Hazel continued to live the best life she should’ve received in the first place. He hoped wherever Leo was, he was happy and stayed alive. He hoped Reyna would someday find love. He hoped Nico never had to hide his true self from others ever again. He hoped that the two camps never had to go to war ever again.
Most of all, he hoped Thalia would forgive him for not saying one final goodbye.
That, he knew, was too much to hope for.
As Judgement stood before him it, they allowed his life to flash before his eyes. Jason watched himself as a child, memories that he could never recall now, playing with his older sister Thalia as she tossed him around in the backyard of the mansion they lived in. The two of them laughing as the young girl just tried to enjoy the little moments she had left with her baby brother.
Jason watched while his mother bargained with Hero and he was taken away from the home he should’ve belonged in. He saw the memory of himself being dropped down with Lupa and being raised to become strong and show no signs of weakness. He saw himself arriving on the grounds of Camp Jupiter and being claimed by the Lord of the Sky and being feared by those around him. The moments that he had with Reyna on their quests were ones that he was able to vividly remember, with the friend he had grown to love like a sister. His fight with Krios was something that he could never forget; he remembered thinking how if he died then and there he hoped Reyna could defeat him and hold the glory high on her shoulders. He didn’t though, and instead four months later he found himself dropped in the middle of Nevada, holding hands with a girl he didn’t know and talking nonsense with a boy who claimed was his best friend. He watched his arrival to Camp Half-Blood and meeting a different cultural group he would have never anticipated to work with. He watched as he received a prophecy to free Hera and he travelled on a quest with his two new best friends Piper and Leo; the Prophecy of Seven unfolding before them and the battle with Gaea, something he had been anticipating for months, lasting only a few minutes. It was a good laugh in Jason’s opinion.
Then came his final moments, as he fought desperately against the Roman emperor Caligula as arrows were impaling him in his arms and legs until finally one went through his heart, the last thing he remembered doing was screaming to Apollo to remember his promise and giving Tempest one last order to take his friends to safety before he fell to the floor, dead.
Jason blinked a couple times, unsure whether he should cry or be relieved that the vision was over. He slowly brought his gaze upward where he saw the three judges of Judgement sitting and conversing quietly. He was able to recognize all three judges, thanks to Nico who seemed to know how the Underworld worked on the daily. The judges for this particular session he had Minos, Rhadamanthus and Aeacus. The most famous judges to ever sit on the Judgement Panel were now judging Jason and his incoming fate.
Jason had no idea how long he’d been standing there, waiting to see what they would tell him. He had nowhere to sit, so the boy just shifted into a different standing position every few minutes until finally the verdict was said.
“Elysium.”
Doors that sat behind the judges held the different locations. Jason could hear the screaming from the Fields of Punishment and the silence from the Field of Asphodel. The door for Elysium opened and Jason took a step forward seeing something more beautiful than he would have ever dreamed to see. The fields of grass and small children and adults alike, running around and having fun. The son of Jupiter stepped through the door and it closed behind him and Jason for the first time in a long time smiled, because now he was at peace and nothing would bother him again.
Jason wasn’t sure how many years had passed when the first person he recognized from his friends arrived in Elysium.
It was Percy first.
Jason had been talking to a couple who used to go to Camp Half-Blood; they were eighteen when they died in the Battle of Manhattan. Charles Beckendorf was apparently a good friend of Percy and Annabeth’s. Jason seemed to have a distant memories of Leo talking about him. He was a popular figure at Camp Half-Blood before his untimely death. He was a son of Hephaestus and was dating a daughter of Aphrodite, Silena Beauregard, another popular figure at Camp Half-Blood.
The son of Jupiter saw the door open at the entrance and the blonde boy inclined his head over and he smiled, a common facial feature that Jason was able to show more often after he had been assigned to Elysium.
The blonde slid down the roof of the house he was sitting on, landing on his own two feet to see who the new arrival was. It wasn’t everyday someone new got accepted into Elysium; when he saw the person walk through the door his smile got wider as Perseus Jackson walked through looking confused and unsure of where exactly he was.
Jason shouted his name once and Percy whipped his head over to see Jason Grace in the flesh looking alive and exactly the way he remembered he looked when he’d left him back almost a good twenty years ago. The son of Jupiter jogged over to his friend.
“J-Jason?” Percy stuttered out, his sea green eyes wide as he looked at his blonde friend in surprise.
Jason stood before Percy, the son of Poseidon had reached the same height as Jason by then, and smiled. “Hey, Jackson,” the eternal sixteen year old greeted. “How’s life been treating you?”
Percy looked down at himself in confusion, he was wearing an old Camp-Half Blood t-shirt, the lettering slowly fading from the amount of times it had been washed. Percy said, “I’m dead.”
The two started catching up, Percy telling Jason about the past twenty years that he had missed. Naturally, he and Annabeth had gotten married and had a little boy and girl. They lived at New Rome but a new prophecy had been declared and the camp had been infiltrated. Percy had defended the camp to his last breath, taking a gorgon to save Annabeth and their children. Percy was ridden with guilt though, for leaving his children without a father though. For leaving Annabeth alone.
Jason tried to comfort him as best as he could, but Jason knew what he felt. It was similar to the same guilt he felt when he had died as well.
It wasn’t long after Percy that Frank had entered Elysium. Another war was happening back in the world of the living. The camps weren’t getting along again, Jason wasn’t sure what that meant. People started dying and being sent to the Fields of Asphodel. Frank had wrapped Jason in a bear hug then hit him, for leaving him to run the camp blindly with no help. Jason had laughed and apologized but it was a good hearted conversation.
Not long after that, Annabeth entered Elysium, searching vigorously for Percy and even shoving Jason aside. The daughter of Athena wrapped her arms around the love her life and pressed kisses on his face, saying how much she missed him and loved him and if he ever died again she would never forgive him. It didn’t take long for Annabeth to see Jason finally and punch him, for being a hero and dying as one. She hugged him though, because that was their friendship. She may not have known him long or all that well, but they were friends and that was what mattered.
Years must’ve passed before Leo Valdez entered Elysium, greeting everyone with a wink. He froze seeing Jason and turning pale on the spot in surprise of not seeing his best friend after nearly forty years of not seeing him. Jason grinned at him and held out his arms and Leo ran up to him and hugged him, wrapping his legs around the blonde boy’s waist.
“Jason, you piece of shi-!”
Jason laughed. “There’s kids here!”
“You were dead!” Leo yelled, still hugging him tight.
“Well now you’re dead!”
Hazel entered Elysium a couple years later along with Reyna. The war with the camps had came to an end and now both of them were separated but Hazel and Reyna didn’t seem to mind, having finally arrived at a place where peace would overtake them. Hazel had greeted all of her friends with a kiss on the cheek, speaking of how she missed each of them. Jason just hoped she lived the best life she could.
Jason didn’t get to see Piper until almost another ten years later.
The doors had opened again and Piper McLean entered through, her head high and looking as beautiful as he remembered her. The memories of his last moments on Earth and declaring to himself and that he would save her. It was worth it, she had lived the longest out of all of them.
Annabeth had hugged her first, crying and saying how much she missed Piper. Then Hazel, Leo, Percy, Frank and last Jason and that hug lasted the longest. It held no romantic intentions it was a hug that meant so much more.
“Thank you for saving us,” Piper had mumbled as she let her friend go with a bright smile. Jason smiled and nodded his head.
Maybe dying a hero wasn’t so bad after all.

The garden was not Hera’s domain. The flowers, the greens, the adoring sunlight that graced each leaf…these were not hers. But their mistress was the reason she spent so much time outside of the marble walls and alone, sitting in the middle of the flowers. Her sister, Demeter, she would know what to do. Even Hestia, her sister who knew no fame, would have been a better candidate for making choices like these. Of Rhea’s daughters, Hera was not only the youngest but was the most troubled child as well. She held great beauty, yes, but not her sisters’ wisdom and patience. Rhea taught her daughters to be just, graceful, and kind and Hera often found herself being reminded of her mission as not only the goddess of families, women, and marriage, but also the goddess of empires, heirs, and royalty.  Hera liked to think, and genuinely wished that she was the most like their mother, though looking at her siblings, a part of Rhea lives within each. Hera wanted to be strong-hearted, and outspoken like her mother. Someone who was not to be looked over, someone to be respected, just like her. Hera was the Queen now; she carried a burden she sometimes wished that someone else would take. There weren’t too many days where she retired to her chambers with a smile on her face, and even less without a falter in her step as she opened the door to find her husband gone, the torch still lit, but the sheets of their bed unmoved from the morning.
It did not offer peace to meditate within the garden, but it offered her a place to think, reflect a little. Demeter was her role model, a goddess that encompassed everything Hera ever wished to be. Although, at times, she became irrationally upset with her daughter, Demeter kept her grudges well hidden, unless it was against their brother residing in the Underworld. Hera, on the other hand, had grudges that were almost so visible you could touch them, play with them, and write entire legends about. It wasn’t a reputation she was proud of, but it did give her power, and she knew that mattered as well, especially in this world. Her eyes, a kaleidoscope of greens and blues, trailed up past the tallest of flora, and onto the landscape of the world beyond Olympus. While normally, Hera was entirely certain of her husband’s whereabouts when he was not next to her in bed or on a throne, and that place normally was somewhere he did not belong, she did know that he and their brothers had gone off to fight a serious threat rising from a group of Gaea’s giants that mindlessly followed her wicked agenda to rebel against Zeus and everything the Olympians stood for. She had been left on the throne, and while she was incredibly thankful to have Athena sit in with her on diplomatic matters, she much preferred her husband to be beside her.
The sky was dark, it boomed, the sea was in turmoil, and the ground would shake for hours at a time. They may not have been at war, but it felt like a small battle was going to take more than a few weeks to complete. Hera stood from her place in the garden, brushing her white skirts to billow around her as she left the garden for her throne. Persephone was waiting for her before Hera was able to make it through the doors, her eyes wide, and full of uncharacteristic morbidity. The Queen took the girl into her arms, knowing that she wasn’t used to the battles, the nights of waiting with hope that they would return unharmed.  Persephone was a queen in her own right, and Hera was proud to say that she was proud of that girl. She was holding up well, and with that hug, Hera saw the smallest tug of a hopeful smile lift up onto that face that brought so much sunshine into her brother’s life. She ushered the other goddess into the throne room with her, seeing Athena standing over Zeus’ table, where he had lain out maps for her, Ares, and Eris, though everyone knew Athena was the only one who followed any sort of instruction, never mind the fact she was the only one with a plan. The goddess of wisdom met Hera’s questioning look with a grim frown, as she followed the trail of destruction the three brothers were leaving.
Hera turned, letting Persephone ask the questions and run up to Athena. The older goddess would retire to her chambers to continue to pray for his return. She trusted Zeus to make it home to her. He may not have been the best husband, but he always left for battle with a firm kiss on her forehead and a promise of a safe return. And she knew that promise wasn’t like the others. He would fulfill this one, and she would welcome him home with teary eyes, as she always did when he returned. Hera barely made it out of the doors again before Athena slammed her hands on the table. She looked up at the Queen with victory in her eyes, that sparkle in them so reminiscent of Zeus himself. It was obvious she was his daughter. Hera held her breath. Athena picked up the map, and declared that they’d pushed back Gaea’s forces past the line they had set out. Persephone let out a giant sigh of relief, but Hera still bit her tongue. They had accomplished their goal, but at what cost?
It was only days later that the torches of Olympus burned bright for their victorious gods, waiting for their return from battle. They waited night and day, and Hera was entertaining the thought that they’d never return when the horns began to play, though they quickly died out when Poseidon appeared on the stairs, looking beyond fatigue, holding Hades over one shoulder, the latter dirtied with blood and bruises. Persephone was the first to rush forward, and even her mother couldn’t stop her as she took her husband in her arms, tears in her eyes, and in an instant, the tow of them were gone, back to their own kingdom. Poseidon was breathing heavily, and Apollo shot forward, followed by a mass of others, to go wait on him. The attention was drawn away, but Hera was still looking to meet a pair of electric blue eyes as they would’ve appeared coming up the stairs. But they never came. The room had cleared, and she was left alone to wonder where her husband may have gone. Hera made a trip to visit Poseidon in his chambers, all wrapped up, a goblet of ambrosia sitting on his bedside table.  His answer to her question of where her husband ended up was answered in a rather rude comment about how they were down on Earth, and how Hera knew how her husband was when he made trips down there.  She took only a second to pull up her skirts and exit his room, trying to keep her breathing steady and her heart beat under control.
Hera returned to her chambers that night noticing the torches were all snuffed out, for the gods’ return. They all knew how Zeus was, so if the other two were fine, Zeus must’ve just been having a night out, right?  Hera reached up to the torch, still burning, that sat on her balcony. The one she kept lit whenever Zeus was away, regardless of whether it was for battle or for his affairs. She told herself that this was just like any other night. He would return through the balcony in the wee hours of the morning, and come embrace her in their bed, where she would not say a word and she hoped he felt what he had done was wrong. Her hands fell from the torch to the railing of her balcony, and she rested her head in her palms. She didn’t know what she did to deserve this, but she did know she was really beginning to struggle to justify how he truly loved her after all this. She thought she heard thunder as she thought of him, and her lips curled up. Even far away, he’d still curse someone for using his name in a negative way.
The second time the thunder broke, it was not a mistake, nor did Hera miss it. Her head shot up, looking out at the world in her view. The sea was calm, the ground, though barren, was sound, but the sky was pitch black with clouds, and before she could process the thunder she’d just heard, a bright, almost blinding flash of lightning tore across the sky, and third rumble cracked it open. Hera had little time to think, but the first thought was immediately that he was in danger. Her Zeus, he was in pain. The only time he ever cried out in storms like this was when the pain was tremendous, and she’d never heard the thunder bend like that before. She threw on a cloak, rushing down past Athena, who gave her a similar knowing look as Hera rushed out the door.  She may not have been a goddess of combat, but she was a goddess of manipulation, including weaving the stars. And that gave her an advantage of luck on her side. She carried her one of her husband’s bolts he kept in the bedroom for emergency purposes only, and it burned her hands. She had developed some sort of tolerance to the strong current, but this was her husband’s domain, not hers, and the bolt sent shockwaves up her arms, leaving white scars as it traveled into her body.
She closed her eyes and snapped forward, knowing the stars would take her where she needed to go. And when Hera opened her eyes, she wished she could’ve shut them and burned the image from her mind. He was being held in some sort of pit, and the thunder was loudest here, the lightning shooting off in every direction. Tears pooled in her eyes whens she saw Zeus hanging by his wrists, his torso cut open, but his eyes alert, radiating with broken, raw energy.  Hera couldn’t explain it, but it didn’t only make her sick to her stomach, it enraged her. She felt more anger in her soul and more hatred than she’d ever experienced before in her lifetime. And when Zeus, still crying out in rolling rumbles, caught her gaze from where she was hidden, his posture softened for a moment, before he went rigid again. She knew what the new expression on his face read, and it was telling her to get out of here before she ended up next to him. She should’ve known that she wasn’t just loyal to him when they were happy and healthy and in love. She adored him without condition when he slept with a different woman every night. She gave him her all any time he asked for it, when sometimes, she felt like she couldn’t get the time of day from him. And when he was in need, there was no doubt in her mind and in her heart that she was going to save him.
It was a blur, between the Giant or two rushing in when they realized there was an intruder, to her using the bolt, causing quite a bit of damage to herself as she fought off anyone who would dare harm her love, her life, her reason. All she knew was that she managed to get Zeus out from his bonds, and they laid there, in the middle of the battlefield that she’d created, holding each other for hours. Hera wiped away the blood with her own gown, paying no mind to her own injuries, holding Zeus like he would disappear again at any moment. It took her a while to get the strength to stand, holding her husband’s body weight, and get them back to Olympus, where Athena had rallied people back to welcome back their King, and make sure Apollo had been ready as well. Hera didn’t want to let go, but she did, letting them take Zeus away, to take care of him better than she could.
Demeter was the only one who worried over Hera, insisting she get checked and healed, but Hera half-heartedly excused herself, explaining the blood was Zeus’, even though she herself was bruised, and burned severely from the bolt she used. Demeter refused to leave her side, and she agreed reluctantly to let her sister take care of her for the first day. When Hera made her way up to her chambers, she was not expecting to have been beaten getting there by her husband, who was laid up with luscious pillows and golden bandages, and she stopped in the doorway. The soft sound of her footsteps was enough to get the attention of Zeus, who gave her a weak smile, his eyes sparkling. She sat on the edge of the bed, and he gazed over at the burn marks on her hands and wrists, reaching out a hand to run his fingertips over the pattern. He didn’t say anything, and neither did she. But there was more than gratitude in Zeus, and Hera asked nothing more of him than to stay the next few nights, with no mention of sins or scolding, but a sincere request.

Random shit from a minecraft server I haven't touched in a month where I did a bunch of stuff:
Me and my friends J and S started the world and spawned in a village, we looted, broke a spawner I found and ran. That entire village died to a raid we were unprepared for like 3 days later.
We started making our homes, but mine was a whole project of building big walls with corridors out of which came the main rooms and in the centre I left it grass, the point is, it was going to be big, so I got in the server when no one else was on and since I had nothing I wnet mining in a hole right next to my house base. I went without enough torches and no optifine. And didn't see that I opened up a big hole until I fell.
So I fell into a ravine, right next to lava, but what little I had mostly survived, so now I needed to get down there. The thing is I legit lost it all, so there I was fumbling with some little blocks and a stone pickaxe in a time constraint. Died again. Fumbled some more, now with a wooden pickaxe, I think I have died once more, but eventually I got down there, my stuff was on sight, I jumped for it, and just before I got there it all despawned right in front of me.
I dubbed that place the cursed ravine.
I died constantly down there whenever I decided to get even a little bit greedy and lost my first dog to it. The weather was constantly at a 98% chance of raining creepers. But after countless deaths it was still cursed but familiar, so it was like a twisted attachment to it as a landmark as well as for whatever resources I hadn't exploited in it yet.
Once we were joking that I was going to be "the Wilbur of the server", so I declared myself president and even got the vote of 1 (J) out of the only first 3 people in there (counting me), the one who didn't vote me kinda was my rival and always wants to be a queen-dictator (S), so my power was legitimate, but she still claimed herself queen while living inside my house and stealing shit like my diamond helmet because she couldn't be independent.
In the end, one day I got in and built a little hut of like 5×5 blocks with a triangle roof and put a sign that said "casita de retiro para gente senil" (little retirement home for senile people in spanish) and kinda made her move out to there, she actually became independent after that.
Once I gave OP to S when I went away for an hour, J died in a mineshaft, wanted S to tp to her corpse, she fucked it up and tpd every loaded entity to the mineshaft. It was chaos. I sent her a "you are exiled" Tubbo sticker. Good chaos, I had no clue wtf they'd done.
The joke of me being "the Wilbur of the server" came back when one day S just brought me a salmon and was like "this is your wife now", so of course I named it Sally and hung it up in an item frame in my home (I lost that fish and replaced it like 4 times, oh god) and then got a baby fox I named Fundy and claimed to be my son. I gave Fundy an iron sword, he protected the home.
Once a piglin got out of the nether and zombified in my house, so I trapped him in a boat and named him Technodead, he became my roommate. Once he kinda protected me from a ravager that got in because him and his boat blocked the corridor where the ravager got in and it didn't damage him, it only wanted to get me, so I could shoot it, I was just screaming "TECHNODEAD POG" in the in-game chat to my friends.
I had a BUNCH of dogs, but one of them I just left in the nether once because it wouldn't go through the portal, so I left him and called him Cerberus and said that "in lore" he had mutated in the nether but had three tails instead of three heads. Later on I saw that I'd actually left two dogs, so I named the second one Loona, they were my loyal hellhounds.
My precious babies were my weapons: Inferno my sword (RIP, died because I pressed q when startled by a creeper), Inferno II my second sword, Striker my first bow, Boundless Curser my second bow and the best one, Hacker my axe, Poseidon's Grace my riptide trident and Mjölnir my channeling trident.
Once I got on and travelled to a village like 2k blocks away I connected with a cobblestone bridge, where I had our only menders. I started a raid. Killed everyone. It was like 2am. My friends wanted to kill me.
By a time when other friends had joined, one of them (G) made an ugly ass cobblestone platform in the sky and never came back. Then S abused creative to search for a fortress, me J and another friend (B) didn't really feel well going to the illegitimate fortress even if we never find one, so when S logged of right when we were going to get in, I just kinda said "no, I'm not setting foot there" and started heading back, J and B followed. And to make catharsis I just went "Wanna see some fireworks by your president?" And that's how I used almost all of my gunpowder to make half a stack of TNT, we placed it all, J and B died by falling before the show and both lost 27 levels, we took all valuables, I made a bridge that I broke to be floating in a single block, I shot the TNT, it all blew up, according to J my smile was able to be heard through voice chat and then I promptly died and lost 27 levels as well when I broke the block I was standing on, pretending to fall in water and instead of that falling on a tree.

i know you're probably getting a lot of requests, but do you think you would be able to write about the weirdest greek myth ever, the birth of the Minotaur?
There are times whenHermes’s role as the messenger god weighs on him. Declaration of war have lefthis lips, the words he’s carried have ended whole countries and damned villagesto a slow painful death. The secrets he carries tears at him, the horrors he’shad to face only so he could later tell of them, the warnings he repeats thatare ignored and all he’s witnessed is for nothing, since it happens all overagain in front of him.
There are times the newshe brings that tears at him, eats at his soul like necrosis – the death ofKore, Poseidon destroying another seaside village, every whisper of Pandora, informingAres of yet another war.
This –
– isn’t one of thosetimes.
~
Aphrodite’s lovely faceis slack with surprise. At her side Hephaestus rubs his chin and says, “Thatseems physically improbable.”
“How did she manage tonot die?” Aphrodite demands, thensays, “Wait, don’t tell me, I don’t want to know.”
Hermes grins, and doesn’tbother to hide the complete delight he’s taking in this, “But my lady, it is my sacred duty to tell you these things. When Queen Pasiphae ensnaredDaedalus’s help to bemounted by the bull–”
She gives him a crosslook and is gone in a powerful gust of wind, and he has to grab onto thevolcano wall to keep from falling over.
“That wasn’t very nice,” Hephaestussays, off hand. It’s clear he’s still thinking of the mechanics of a human-bullhybrid.
“I’ve been accused ofbeing many things,” Hermes says cheerfully, “nice is not among them.”
~
Artemis lounges in hertent with one of her huntress’s face between her thighs, inexperienced buteager, and she so does love taking onnew women.
“Sister!” Apollo shouts, appearing at her side and glaring down at her. “Have you lost your mind?”
Her huntress startles andfreezes, unsure whether to leave or continue. Artemis rolls her hips up, andthe girl ignores the appearance of the sun god and continues with her task.
“Not that I know of,” shesays, tilting her head up so she can look at her brother without altering herposition, “Why do you ask?”
“Poseidon cursed a mortalqueen to fall in love with a bull, and she gave birth to a bull headed monstertoday,” he crosses his arms and glares.
She swallows the laughthat bubbles up, but she must not be entirely successful because he startstapping his foot. “Well, isn’t that interesting. I’m not sure what it has to dowith me.”
“Sister dear, Artemis, patron goddess of childbirth,” he says with syrup thick sweetness, “why onearth did you bless that child? There’s no way it could have been born withoutyour help. It had to have been you.”
Her huntress pauses again, and Artemis will answer her questions later. She squeezes her thighs about her ears, and the girl resumes. “Oh come on, don’tgive me that look. This is hysterical. People are going to be talking aboutthis for years.”
He considers this for along moment, then uncrosses his arms, “Okay, you have a point.”
“I know. Now if you don’tmind, I’m a little busy,” she gestures to the huntress between her legs.
Apollo snorts, “Get a fewmore girls in here, and maybe I’ll consider that busy.”
He slips away, butArtemis’s eyes narrow. That sounds like a challenge.
The girl replaces hermouth with a hand and asks, “Should I gather the other huntresses, ladygoddess?”
“I like you,” Artemissays, and the girl laughs, cheeks flushed and lips shiny.
~
Hermes appears in themiddle of the garden of Hades’s palace, and blinks twice.
The queen of theunderworld is half naked and on top of Amphitrite, and several things fall inplace at once. “Is this why you don’t get upset with Hades for his affair withHecate?”
“There is no affair withHecate, you’re just an indiscriminate gossip,” Persephone retorts. “And if theywere having an affair, I wouldn’t have a problem with it, and it wouldn’t haveanything to do with Amphitrite.”
“Oh,” he says. He feelsrather derailed from his original point. “I came here to–”
“If this is about theminotaur, we already heard about it,” she says, “You can go now.”
They’ve already heard about it! “From who?!”This is the best news in centuries, and this person is ruining it.
“Aphrodite,” Amphitritesays, “She’s cross with you.”
Oh, this is war.
~
Ares feels a shiver godown his spine, and looks across the battle field. People are dying around him,but people are always dying around him. He doesn’t see anything particularly horrendous,so he doesn’t know who could have invoked him so powerfully that he felt it.
A young woman who hadshared the last piece of sweet bread with him last night gets a spear shovedstraight through her chest, and Ares decides he has more important things toworry about.
~
Athena is halfway througha tapestry that is to hang in Hestia’s rooms when Aphrodite appears next to herand says cheerfully, “Guess what Poseidon did?”
Normally Athena wouldfling anyone who dare to disturb her to the depths of Tartarus, but she’salways willing to talk of Poseidon’s misdeeds. “I’m listening.”
Hermes appears on herother side, glaring. “You trollop.”
“He made a queen fall inlove with a bull, and she just had the kid. It’s got a bull head.” Her sister’ssmile is positively vicious.
“I’ll make you suffer,”Hermes hisses, and slips away. Aphrodite follows, the sounds of her laughterechoing in the room.
Athena blinks, lookingback to her loom, but is unable to concentrate.
Even she hadn’t seen thatone coming.
~
Hera doesn’t getinvolved, she does not have opinions, as a rule if it doesn’t concern her then it doesn’t concern her.
She waits for her husbandto leave, and tries not to worry about his mutterings about bulls, thequeen-mother Europa, and how Pasiphae had the right idea of it. She steps intothe throne room, and the fire burns cheerful and bright in the center of it.
She sits beside it, and nosooner has she done so than Hestia appears at her side. “You’ve heard then?”
“Hermes told me,” she rubsat her temples.
“Aphrodite got to mefirst,” Hestia says, and the goddess of the hearth seems entirely too cheerful,“I can say, of all the misdeeds Poseidon has wrought, this one is certainly …unique.”
She slumps and buries herface in her hands, “This whole family is mad, and we’re doomed to only becomeworse.”
Hestia laughs and puts anarm around her shoulder, “Come now, I think Hades is quite reasonable.”
Hera shifts enough onlyso that she can glare, “Hades chose to rule the dead and married Kore. He’sthe maddest of us all.”
Hestia can’t refute that,so she starts finger combing Hera’s long, curly hair. Hera slumps back into herhands, and Hestia’s smile is soft as they sit there in silence, the only noisethat of the crackling fire.

When Hephaestus returnsto the volcano, it’s to his wife sitting in his throne with her arms crossed. “Whatdid you do?” she asks.
“I just gave him a littlesuggestion, is all,” he says, and scoops Aphrodite into his arms so that he mayreclaim his throne. She snuggles into his side, and if she’s trying to convincehim that she’s mad at him, she’s doing a terrible job of it. “Daedalus hasalways been a very devout follower; he deserves a few good ideas.”
“He’s had enough ideas,”she says, because without his help the queen wouldn’t have found a way to consummateher love of the bull, “I don’t think he needs anymore.”
“Maybe,” Hephaestusmurmurs, dragging his nose up her temple, “but imagine this – a labyrinth, bigger than any other, than thiswhole volcano.”
“That’s nice, dear,”Aphrodite says, and then proves to be distracting enough that Hephaestus putshis ideas aside.
At least for a littlewhile.
