California has gotten its first tropical storm watch ever. The last time a tropical storm hit California was in September of 1939 just after Hitler had started World War II. They didn't issue such watches in those days.

Major Hurricane Hilary in the Pacific is way stronger than low energy Hurricane Don in the Atlantic a few weeks ago; the latter spent only a few hours as a hurricane as it spun around aimlessly away from land.

Hilary will weaken from the current Category 4, but how much it will weaken is still not certain. If it maintains sustained winds of at least 74 MPH/119 KMH when it reaches California, then it will become California's first ever official hurricane.

Hurricane Hilary is expected to hit Southern California as a tropical storm, with a punch that could include flash flooding and significant amounts of rain, according to the National Hurricane Center.  A tropical storm watch for much of Southern California was issued Friday morning. The National Weather Service's San Diego outpost said this was the first time such an advisory had ever been issued for the region. 

As somebody who's been through half a dozen tropical cyclones on the East Coast, I would advise our California friends that rain is a bigger hazard than wind – in most cases. People in areas which have the potential for flooding should particularly remain on alert.

The 1939 storm, called El Cordonazo, became the first and only tropical storm to make landfall in the state in the 20th century, according to the National Weather Service. NWS says the storm, which was at one point a hurricane, originated off the southern coast of Central America before moving north and eventually coming ashore at San Pedro, California.  Resulting floods from the storm killed at least 45 people across the Southern California region and caused $2 million in damage to structures and crops, the weather service reports. Another 48 people were also killed at sea.

There were far fewer people in California in 1939 when El Cordonazo caused deadly flooding.

the hiding, the aura of vile evilness, promising to tear down the kingdom of heaven, etc etc.

she asks cherry if she believes in the power of prayer (faith being a HUGE aspect of 'the curse of fenric')

the companion for the season has multiple time shenanigans happening with her situation. she has a tangential connection to this doctor through mundy flynn. she was found by the doctor because of someone (conrad) who's life was influenced by his eventual adventures with her. and that someone is now being recruited by flood herself. ace also ended up traveling with the doctor due to fenric schemes.

and conrad is giving "wolf of fenric" vibes or just a general servant like the ancient one (someone with a genetic link to fenric or someone who's timeline has been manipulated into meeting/serving them). flood was excited about the vindicator and next we see of the doctor and belinda, they're meeting young conrad.

flood could very well be a real person like professor judd who's been taken over by fenric and that's who we've seen this whole time.

I feel I'm nearing the end of the game and I have a theory for what's ahead

Huggin molly is said to take children who aren't wanted. I don't really know what she does with them so far besides notes left by supposed children who don't want to go home. I think this coincides with lacey as a social worker, 'taking' children who are neglected and abused and helping them the best she can.

In cutscences with items from the house dealing with her workplace, a constant phrase lingers. "Something has to change"

What she's doing isn't working. So has she made her own deal with Molly now to help these children, or is she Molly herself, somewhere down the line of childsnatching changing her ways, only to find the guise of Lacey isn't enough to help these kids like she used to?

Mhhhh can I be honest? I didn't hate it but I'm kinda disappointed... it left me more confused than before and it really shouldn't have. The start was fine, a bit of suspense although it was clear those deaths weren't permanent. Mrs. Flood, as always, was one of the most interesting particulars, as she keeps breaking the fourth wall and saying things that just make you ask why. Like what do they mean. I have high expectations for her and I genuinely like her for now.

There were some things I liked: the tardis, the way the other worlds were mentioned, the 73 yards thing. I enjoyed the memories of the past, how the time window tried to reply to ruby alone. I also liked the general emotion there was, and was sad to see ruby go so early.

Now... here come the problems: sutekh. What do you mean a literal God of death has been reduced to an obedient puppy? Like.. ruby got close and he just.. let her? He was fr dragged around like a dog and hasn't done much at all. His angels of death, or whatever they were called, used the dust to kill everyone and okay, they eliminated so many people, but here comes another problem. Like babes, why didn't you kill them off earlier, when they grabbed sutekh by the collar?😭 the plot armor was kinda insane imho. The general thing seemed good but when you stop to think about it it's different. I liked it at first, although not fully, and I wasn't bored, but by the end of it, more and more negative details just popped up. Another problem was the mother. I didn't despise it, it was very sweet, but at the same time I expected more because it was simply natural! This mystery, along with the snow, the hidden song, was milked way too much, and while I understand creating hype is important, too much of it for a rather simple reveal can make the latter disappointing, and it kinda was. Also what the hell... how did sutekh come back?? Did somebody get it... was he there since the fourth doctor? DID HE SEE THE FLUX AND ALL THOSE MESSES WHATTT. How tf.. guess that salt was for the toymaker only. Thank God they didn't bring trickster or they might have ruined him LMAO. I kinda expected ruby's mother to be a God.. but okay ig.

Overall, okay but not okay at the same time. I'm scared of what might happen after this. It's my favorite show and I would be devastated to watch it die because of a poorly written episode. :/
