I have 100%'d my 45th video game in my lifetime.

TTYD Remake is... Very Good! It's a solid 10/10 for me - the original is great for sequence breaking and kidnapping Flavio forever but I gotta say the remake has a lot of solid quality of life improvements for the casual player. Might consider doing some challenge runs eventually - pre-Hooktail pit anyone?

(the crime joke is bc I beat the shit out of like 14 NPCs, Rawk Hawk, and Wacka.)

what even are the odds of having an HP plus P badge dropping from a spiky gloomba in the pit of 100 trials??

Cause I didn't even see it holding the thing, and the wiki said it was 1% hold rate even... Drop rate is like 0.6%

so how lucky did I get here??

also got far enough to see pokeys.... why the heck is their "i'm gonna slam myself into you sideways" where they get close to you so slow?? has that always been that slow??

I also remember getting another badge (i forgot what) from an enemy in hooktail castle when I played through it.

How low are the item and badge drop rates?

And I'm assuming they can only drop an item or badge if they're holding them.

Not as good as I used to be cause I haven't played in a good long time; pre glitz pit pit of 100 trials run, how far can I get? Made it to 20 for fire drive but then went back up so I could complete the last trouble center request I had access to pre glitzville.

Loving the paper game so far~~~ New songs and so much nostalgia~~~

I beat Pre-Hooktail Pit with 1 save state on floor 70. I only loaded it once. Someday I think I'll be good enough to do it without any save states. Wizzerds are awful and I hate them.

like. nimbasa battle subway isn’t THAT hard it’s not like pre-hooktail pit of 100 trials it’s very DOABLE but it’s just like. not really meant to be done that early and you’ll be fighting 7 or 8 battles where the opponents have fully evolved pokemon before making it to the subway bosses. you could probably do it with like stoutland and darmanitan or something which evolve relatively early but you don’t get access to return early in the game (which is what makes stoutland so good in b2, at least in my experience) so i don’t even know 💀

I took a look at a TON of early gameplay footage floating around the Internet for the Paper Mario TTYD Remake and analyzed it so you can get a top challenge runner's perspective on everything! LOL. Pre-Hooktail Pit Runs are gonna be harder now???

Never used it until now; what did unsimplifier do? ‘Makes action commands hard but yields more star power’

Aside maybe from super guards and guarding in general being harder, I don’t notice a difference if I’m jumping, hwadbonking, or hammering, yet at least.

And I couldn’t hit super guards anyway on goombas at least, I could with the spinias tho somehow? And crump at the beginning??

How tight does unsimplifier make things? Guards and super guards (or just the super ones idk) are now 1 frame I believe. How are the other action commands?

Never hits a guard again, lol.

Fun game so far~~ nostalgia is in full swing~~ and my first upgrade upon level up was bp. Hope I’m good enough at the game for that not to matter too much.

Nostalgia~~~~ now watch me play all night, lol.

Wonder if I’ll play it differently than I did as a kid. I didn’t even try blooper skip like I wanted to…

See how far I can get in the pit pre hooktail maybe? I also wanted to try to beat hooktail without the frog badge~~~ but don’t know if I’m that good or not.
