so it's no secret I didn't like the apocalypse world plotline so here's my counter. haven't figured out a way to work this into a fic yet so tossin the idea to yall but if the writers really wanted to make Gabriel suffer THAT badly I have a solution. What if after Gabriel got out of hell instead of immediately going after revenge he sought comfort in his brothers. Maybe he doesn't push Lucifer away, maybe he goes down to the cage and checks on Michael because he knows whats it's like to be locked in hell. Then maybe, under the cover of night, Lucifer vanishes and the world blooms in unimaginable beauty.

Vines grow thick into the bunkers foundations, Sam and Dean get reports from hunters that they're experiencing fae encounters or some kind of witch. Somethings made the world go beautiful. There is no more thunderous thrashing from the cage, the lowest level of hell now silent and still.

Gabriel is not Gabriel. has not been in a while. When Loki was told there might be an attempt rescue plot from Asmodeus he took a little trip down to hell and pulled a switcharoo. Gabriel ruined his family when he was finally making amends with his father? Loki can do that too. Loki can do that better actually. I've always found it interesting how we know angels can ALWAYS see each others true forms in any vessel. (sans when Cas was human and didn't notice Gadreel but I'm gonna caulk that up to no grace, no astral sight) So whatever flesh Gabs inhabiting it has to have some special rune or magic attached to it that makes the angel invisible which is something I can't remember us seeing before. So if say, Gabriels vessel showed up even if Lucifer can sense 0 grace and no true form he probably would still believe it's Gabriel. And if Lucifer and Michael talked in the cage like they were implied to Michael might not question "Gabriel" showing up like that as well.

Would be a shame if there was a snake in the garden. Would be a shame to wind up the two most powerful archangels and trap them in their own personal hells. Would be a shame if someone pulled a wandavision on Gabriel when it's normally his trick.

Being a true galaxy-brained Doctor Who fan is hitting the epiphany that every showrunner had their strengths and their weaknesses and their own interpretations of the Doctor and you can like or dislike any aspect of any showrunner and acknowledge their genuine mistakes/bad choices/yikes decisions (such as racism, sexism, homophobia, questionable undertones, lack of agency for female characters, etc.) and it is COMPLETELY VALID to have that turn you off of a Doctor/showrunner but also acknowledge that some of the things that people have considered bad writing over the years are often personal preference (valid opinion, not always valid fact) and that just as there are clunkers in every season, there's something to appreciate about every showrunner and every Doctor.

After all, "The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don't always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don't always spoil the good things and make them unimportant."

i don’t like hunger games au at all, and i avoid reading not completed fics generally but can i say. Can i say that your hunger games fic is the only think i’ve been capable of thinking for the last days and it’ s only the first chapter? the snippet of the dinner scene —"will you love me if i come back a monster?" / "i will always love you anakin"— made me lose my breathe jesus christ. this fic is everything i ever asked — unhinged lovers for each other, anakin being that younger version of vader who bite onto obiwan and never will let him go, obiwan too addicted to loving and be loved by anakin to standing the thought of losing him, codependency relationship based on needs and possessiveness and crazy addiction they will die if it’s not for this love? the "marriage vows who sealed the death of twenty three kids" line ? i can’t breathe you’re a genius

ahh thank you for giving my hunger games au a chance even though it is both a hunger games au and a wip!! i think having a lot written on tumblr really helps because it gives such a good outline of what the fic will become and what the story will be for both characters - putting it on ao3 is really just fleshing it out and making it sing as a written work

i think what i always struggle with when it comes to aus of other media is the instinct i have to make them 1:1 aus, which is what i call aus where i'm subbing my ship in for the characters of the media, i.e. putting anakin in for katniss and obi-wan in for peeta and pressing play.

at that point im like. why not just read the book if that's what i want to see, so that's something i like about this hunger games au because i'm just using the setting & the premise - anakin isn't meant to be a sub-in for katniss as the tribute and obi-wan isn't meant to be a sub in for peeta as the love interest or haymitch as the mentor and so i find writing it so much easier - i feel less constrained than i would if i was trying to make anakin feel like anakin skywalker from star wars, and also my own character for this fic and also katniss from this different media altogether

and yeah it's fun to make them fucked up and crazy about each other in new and different ways and so im so glad the first chapter has been posted and i can work on the second one now because damn that reaping is gonna be so fun

People have argued about league vs dota way too much when they’re honestly both fun mobas in their own right. But I heavily favor league of legends for one reason: the ratio of female characters to male characters in league of legends is roughly 2:3 which isn’t good, but in dota it’s an abysmal 1:5. If you want to play a female character in league you have at least one option for every role and most character archetypes, if you want to play a female character in dota your options are limited to scantily clad mages, scantily clad marksmen, scantily clad supports or one of two woman in armor who fight melee (1 of which was released only like 1 year ago). Not to say that league of legends is respectful to women, hell some of its designs are arguably far worse in terms of over sexualization than dota, but the key factor here is that THERE ARE ACTUALLY PLAYABLE WOMEN IN LEAGUE
