okay hear me out!!! Abby telling mike all the things her and y/n did that day, very cliché things but still so cute!! (loosely based off of best day by taylor swift... but...)
it’s like you knew my weak spot was Taylor Swift
“It was the best day ever.” Abby muffles, mouthful of salad.
Mike stands in the kitchen, back to her. He looks silly in a pretty pink apron Abby had picked out at the store, but he doesn’t mind. He wears it to let her giggle at the bow tied behind him. Steam smokes from the pots and pans around him.
“Oh, yeah?” He asks, stress keeping a low profile. He turns the burner nobs to lower settings.
“Yeah,” She emphasizes. “Really, we went to the mall, did you know there was a store just for dolls?”
“Yuh uh.” The pasta water is boiling over, shit. “What’s it- what’s it called? The girl doll store?”
“American Girl Doll.”
“That’s the one.”
Abby shrugs, flicking her bangs before stabbing wildly into her bowl. “It was so amazing, they have a cafe in there.”
Mike’s heart spikes at the thought of you spending money on his sister. It’s thoughtful, truly, but that’s his job now. He took on this roll. “You uh,” he mixes the pasta sauce. “you eat in there?”
“Yes.” She gushes, finishing the remnants of the salad Mike had made her. “But that was hours ago, and I’m hungry again.”
“That’s okay. That’s totally fine. Pastas almost done.”
“Good.” She juts her hand out to Mike, letting him lean over to toss her bowl in the sink with a clatter. “I got lemonade and a cheeseburger.”
“Wow.” Mike smiles, finally at ease with the chaos of cooking. He wipes his hands off messily, resting his them on the counter as he watches Abby with a light grin. “You’ve never eaten those for me.”
“Yeah,” She shrugs flippantly. “it was my first time.”
“I know, you like it?”
“It was soooo good, is the pasta done?”
Mike turns over his shoulder, “Shit, yeah.” He rushes to flip off the timer that now counts down from ten.
“Jar.”
“I’m not putting money in a jar.” He scoffs. “This is my own home.”
He spoons the pasta into a clean bowl, ditching the spoon for a fork when he realizes it’s a hopeless cause. He forks more than he thinks she’ll eat, but that’s okay, because at least she’s eating. She doesn’t have to finish it.
“We didn’t buy a doll.” She pulls the warm bowl in front of her, mixing the pasta sauce into her noodles. “They were creepy, I didn’t like them.”
“I don’t like them either.”
“But she got me a cupcake and ohhhhh my godddd, Mike.” She squeals. “It looked just like Chica’s, I didn’t want to eat it!”
“Did you?”
“Yeah, it was good.”
Halfway through the bowl she taps out. To be expected. Mike isn’t mad. Instead he grabs her plate, scraping the leftovers into dingy tupperware. It’s quiet besides the rumble of AC and Abby. She taps the counter to the tune of a television show she’d been watching earlier.
“Go uh,” He trails off, distracted with the dish.
“Shower?” She helps.
“That.”
“Ok.” She hops off the counter bench, wiping her mouth with the back of her hand messily. “Mike?”
“Yes?” He eyes her over his shoulder.
“I like her. Can we hang out again?”
He laughs turning back around. “Maybe. Go shower.”

Splatoon 3 artbook is coming! and they gave us hi res sample pages! so i translated them!
I’ve already preordered the book, and since I live in Japan I should be getting it very soon after release. mark my words I’m gonna go crazee translating it i need that Lore
In the meantime, some translations of the sample pages! take a look under the cut:
Page 44, IKIMONO (Living things)
yellow text: Among the living things in the Inkling world, a wide variety of species exist. There are creatures that can take on a humanoid form as well, called "Inklings" and "Octolings", the former being squids, and the latter being octopuses. white text in gray box: The old and the new mix to make the Splatland's youth culture The young people who grew up in Splatsville take pride in being born and raised in the Splatlands, and there is an extremely strong sense of solidarity in the community. They deeply cherish their old local culture, which is unsophisticated and simple, yet strong. At the same time, they like to make fun of urban areas such as Inkopolis for acting like they're "all that". On the other hand, many of them secretly yearn for that sophisticated, high-collar, Inkopolis culture. The current culture of chaos created by the youth with such a flip-flopping mentality is becoming increasingly global.
Tumblr media
I’m going to translate these roughly. character select screen outfit, left: lines pointing to reflective goggles, a mask that blocks dust, and the cape. the cape is made from kelp, and is meant to block out sunlight. hero suit outfit, right: the “ultra light earpiece” is so light, it doesn’t even feel like you’re wearing it. The ink display is a digital screen. Boots are meant for rough terrain. Interestingly, agent 3 is holding a weapon called a “Hero Extinguisher.”
Tumblr media
the gear on the left is called “hunting equipment”. The earpiece is based on an udon noodle. It’s small, but it has a deep sound (with bass i assume instead of sounding tinny?) Around the neck are cooling pads. The shirt is made from a seaweed fabric. apparently its wrapped around their upper body and kind of hurts to wear. you can see their underwear, but its the kind of underwear that’s supposed to be seen for Fashion. idk what its called but you guys know what im talking about. The ink tank is homemade. in the pouch of the backpack are snacks. to the right are very early concepts.
Page 62, Deep Cut concepts
It’s a lot of handwritten notes with a lot of pointing out what the drawing is, so I’m going to translate roughly.
Tumblr media
bottom left is pointing out various things about frye’s head anatomy. small chin, forehead sticks out, thick neck, head curves like this and this etc. middle frye with the bit of green and red makeup is described as having a clown-like feel to it. tiny furthest right drawing is commenting on a specific nose shape concept as “bird-like.” she almost had the same nose as my main OCs what the

— COOKING MAMA!
triples girls (yooyeon, seoyeon, mayu, xinyu, & nakyoung) x gn!reader
summary: how it would be cooking with the triples girls
warnings/tags: established relationship, fluff, idk what to tag this tbh
this is so random but i had the thought and needed to do something with it
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Kim Yooyeon (김유연) -
— do not try cooking with her it will end in a disaster so serious fr
— a little surprising given she's the oldest with essentially no cooking knowledge, you will end up having to do most of the cooking
— she will try, but she will likely fail, but she tries to act as if she did it the right way while you weren't looking, only for you to ask and she just kinda freezes before admitting that she obviously did it wrong
— stick to cup of noodles, it's easiest for her
Yoon Seoyeon (윤서연) -
— she's surprisingly a better cook than you would've expected, so you two are pretty equal in terms of cooking knowledge
— she can cook the basics and most things as long as there's instructions and a recipe for her, and it might not come out looking the same, the taste is great
— that being said, she would much rather just order food than taking the time cooking it, understandable
— however, for certain holidays or events of some kind she would do her best to make something more difficult or that isn't often made, somehow succeeding
Koma Mayu (駒まゆ) -
— she will lowkey eat the food as you're cooking fr she just can't resist when it looks so good!
— she could probably make rice if she tried and that's about it, excluding ramen but yeah that's about it
— she would totally love cooking with you even if she isn't doing much, just spending time together alone is enough for her, but she also gets good food in the end? sign her up!
— she might not be able to cook or help much but she is great at talking endlessly while you cook so you're never bored at least when cooking
Zhou Xinyu (周新宇) -
— she does not cook, do not have her cook, don't even ask for help, some sort of chaos will happen
— you could literally be cooking the most extravagant meal and she'd be of no help whatsoever, just leaning against the counter looking pretty while you do all the work, even if she tries to help, you deny and so she just sits there
— she is your certified taste tester though, so whenever you're around halfway or nearly done you ask for her to taste and she'll tell you how it tastes and if it needs more of anything
— she doesn't even try cooking for your birthday she just orders catering and pretends like she made it for you (you know she didn't)
Kim Nakyoung (김낙영) -
— girl would rather eat cup of noodles and convenience store foods instead of cooking like fr
— you'll have to be the one cooking 24/7 im sorry, she'll try to help sometimes but most of the time she's just sitting on the counter watching you cook
— but, she would definitely try cooking something on your birthday, waking up before you to cook something and it might end in a fire but at least she tried!
— it's not often that you cook but whenever you do she's always standing there behind you asking if she can do anything to help and when you keep saying no she still doesn't leave your side, watching everything you do

Lights, Camera, Chaos | 1 | Todoroki Shouto / Reader
Summary: You and Shouto are forced to make your first televised appearance as a couple. What starts as an embarrassing invasion of privacy completely upends itself once you realize just how cutthroat the world of reality TV can get.
Tags & Warnings: Reader uses she/her pronouns, Quirkless Reader, Pro-Hero Shouto.
Part of the Pretty Boy Summer collab! [cross-posted on ao3]
-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-
Being the partner of a pro-hero was the kind of thing that should really come with an instruction manual. And emblazoned on uncoated paper stock beneath chapter one, the golden rule that nine of ten couples managed to break: keep it on the down-low.
Those who didn’t faced the consequences— particularly civilians.
Their faces were ultimately the ones that got splashed across the front page of every gossip-rag in Japan. They became public pariahs, their names repeated ad nauseam on the news, whispered with glee in hair salons and social clubs. In the story of their life, everything became forfeit to the public— their friends, their profession, their dating history, their homes. All of it.
Now, for nearly three months, you’d been one of them. At the end of the day, that was the noodles’ fault, really.
The summer after culinary school, you’d scored your first full-time role, working as the head chef in a small noodle shop just a few blocks from your college campus, at the edge of the city. The owner, Okuda-san, had been in business for years, but the dreams of grandeur that had brought him to central Mustafau as a young man had long since been struck by reality. Though the quality of his meals had never diminished, he’d vastly scaled back his operations over the last ten years— gone was the opulent restaurant in the center of downtown with its sleek metallic architecture and warm ambient lighting. Gone too was his wife, or so you suspected, based on the mutterings you could pick up from the front office, when business ran slow.
The day you met Shouto, the rain had been coming down in sheets, blurring the windows and filling the reception area with a soothing white-noise as you oversaw reservation bookings, dinner preparations and engaged in a small bit of gossip-gathering on the side. It was that same rain that had led you to warn him about the biodegradable styrofoam that his takeout was packed in, and offer the restaurant’s tiny enclave seating to avoid having his meal ruined by the deluge. You’d shared polite conversation— mostly offering tips for balancing buckwheat dough to make proper soba noodles.
Over time, the street in front of Okuda-san’s little shop had become a well-worn patrol path for Shouto’s agency. Conversations turned to texts, and invitations out with his friends. After an unhealthy amount of pining, you’d finally steeled your nerves enough to ask him on a date— an awkward but effective kickstart to almost two years of the best relationship you’d ever had.
There truly was no protocol for having such an intimate piece of yourself revealed to the public, to millions of your partner’s diehard fans. There weren’t words to describe the moment you first laid eyes on the incriminating photo that had started all of this: the two of you, sharing a kiss on the way up to your apartment. Your longing, exacerbated by Shouto’s tedious travel schedule had faced off against your building’s perpetually-slow elevator doors and came up short.
One grainy picture, posted to one account incited a slew of Internet detectives, stealing your anonymity in a matter of hours.
At the very least, you’d been blissfully unaware at first— overlooking the increasing stares from the diners at Okuda-san’s, and glossing over the fact that the cab driver knew your name on the way home. You’d remained blissfully ignorant up until arriving home to find Shouto on the doorstep, still in his costume. He’d quickly shepherded you up to your apartment and barricaded the door. In full pro-hero mode, he’d guided you through the essentials to pack in a duffel bag, and then quickly brought you back to his, to wait out the full extent of the madness.
The worst of it was concentrated in that first two weeks. You’d been unable to turn on the TV without hearing the diminutive nickname the media had chosen for you— “Noodle Legs”— coupled with the same clip of Shouto guiding you up the steps into his high-rise building, over and over. Unfortunately, your legs had been wobbling, as the full magnitude of what was happening had finally begun to set in. In those first days, you’d sequestered yourself in the guest room with the blinds drawn, the drone of the TV only semi-effective against the catastrophizing taking place in your mind.
The public had judged your relationship with Shouto and you clearly had not met expectations. It shouldn’t have been a surprise. Even a decade on from the war that had rewritten the operations of superhuman society, competent wasn’t a word that paired well with Quirkless.
As the media storm raged, you had never seen Shouto so upset. In the first few days, his schedule was particularly erratic, his whereabouts always announced by text and sticky notes left on your door, or the bathroom mirror in tight, neat script. Often, he was out amidst the public, speaking to media outlets on his own, trying to stem the influx of public opinion about you that had become the nation’s topic de jour. As you slowly began to emerge from your cocoon of solitude, you saw just how oppositely this ordeal was affecting him.
When he was home, Shouto paced, relentlessly. He completed a book of Sudoku puzzles as you absently cooked enough udon to feed a small army— or at least four of his pro-hero friends. Each night, he scarcely settle in on the couch next to you before noticing a stray sock or a flickering lightbulb, some small thing to put right. Nothing was enough, anymore, and even as you asked him to come to bed— his bed— he only ever seemed to sleep on the couch, if at all.
After nearly a week, his mania and your melancholy finally collided, spectacularly. You could still remember the whisper of the paper against the hardwood, as it slid under the bedroom door, late that night. Nearly two pages offered a handwritten letter apologizing for the upheaval of your entire life, and his absence in the aftermath. The third carefully recorded the plan he’d been building to mitigate the fallout, mentioning the friends he’d enlisted to help him and proposed ideas for a manufactured scandal, enough to take the limelight off you. That moment of shade, he argued, would allow you to distance yourself.
“I promise to help you establish a future that will make you happy.” the letter concluded, “And I understand, if that future no longer includes me.”
It was carefully-worded, largely self removed and so quintessentially Shouto that it nearly broke you all over again. Not much about your future was determined that night, apart from one, indelible truth: you didn’t want a future without Shouto in it. If that meant you’d have to face the public— the cameras and opinions and bigotry— so be it.
You’d casually perused enough gossip magazines to know the general strategies that hero & civilian relationships used, publicly. Some couples went on luxurious (sponsored) vacations, their devotion shamelessly showcased through glossy magazine spreads and corny ‘What’s in Our Suitcase?’ Q&As. Others used their moment in the limelight to launch one partner’s passion project — a private art studio, a taproom, a crossfit gym— often trendy, always overcrowded and never necessary public infrastructure.
The rest wrote memoirs. So. Many. Memoirs. You’d just finished “Catching the Copycat. — How I Fell in Love with Phantom Thief” earlier that month, and it wasn’t half bad. Amidst the unending slew of public attention and the realization that you were going to have to market yourself somehow, the idea of writing a novel was contenting. At the very least, your partner’s versatile Quirk meant there was no end to the pithy puns you could come up with for a title.
And then, Shouto’s PR team put out a press release announcing that the two of you would be starring in the next episode of Split Shift— the Hero Network’s one and only reality television program.
‘Think you’ve got what it takes to be a hero? Think again!” announced its pithy tagline, in the promotional packet,’ Each week, Split Shift lets its viewers experience a day in the life of the nation’s top defenders, exposing their personal sides, through the eyes of their inner circle!.’
The two of you had tried to fight it. Oh, how you had tried, your combined efforts quickly spawning endless hours of email chains. But Shouto’s public relations team was relentless— apparently, the clamor of the public for more details, photos, evidence of your leaked relationship was stronger than any villain in the known universe. And without it, they warned, Shouto’s rank in the heroics charts was severely at risk.
“I’m sure you’re aware,” Omori Mika, Shouto’s head of PR, explained, fingers flying across her keyboard as a window of metrics popped up, “a significant portion of Shouto’s fanbase finds him anywhere from “considerably” to “highly” attractive. Early this year, he dethroned Best Jeanist to win Quirk’d Magazines’ “Hottest Hero Alive.”
“Oh, yes— well deserved.” you nodded, sparing a glance to your own well-loved copy, resting on the coffee table. The cover-shot had really captured his intensity, the haunting contrast of his heterochromatic gaze in low lighting.
From the other side of the couch, Shouto cleared his throat, and you found yourself impishly delighted by the fact that he refused to meet your eyes.
“Why does that matter?”
“Because that faction in particular wants to know — why her?” Mika made a brief gesture towards you as she expounded, “Why, out of every person in the nation— the world, even— why is she the one you chose?”
Shouto blinked, glancing between you and the laptop.
“Do they want a list? I’d have to ask Midoriya for—“
“—evidence is the name of the game, Shouto.” Mika broke in, “Photos, maybe, but what people really want is footage.”
“Footage that we have to get by being publicly humiliated, got it.” you sighed.
A notch appeared between Mika’s perfectly- plucked eyebrows.
“I know you’re both unhappy about the booking, but the Hero Network is the best platform to showcase Shouto’s capabilities. The nature of the show won’t just remind people why they trust him— it’ll show that he’s chosen a capable and resourceful partner, as well.”
You flushed and averted your gaze. Capable and resourceful were just about the last things that you were feeling, at the moment.
“And honestly, Split Shift is tame in comparison to some of the shows that have been asking for you.” Mika began to flip through her color-coded planner, “Let’s see… Quirktastrophe, Save my Love Life… oh, you’re lucky we didn’t put you on Zero to Hero, I hear that host is a real piece of work, off-camera…”
“Message received.” Shouto intoned, cutting off the diatribe. You moved your legs enough to allow him to scoot over, leaning forward to minimize the chat window and zoom in on a contractual document, written in a font size in the single-digits. He met your eyes
You took a deep breath and sealed your fates with a nod.
“Where do we sign?”
The devil worked hard, but apparently the scheduling team for Split Shift worked harder. Less than a week later, the two of you were arriving at the studio at the crack of dawn, for what promised to be a grueling day of filming. The process began two blocks before the filming lot, a two-man crew driving out to meet in an adjacent parking lot. You and Shouto were each asked to step out of the car in order to have a microphone pack strapped and secured beneath your clothing. They also hooked a small portable camera to the dashboard, to “capture your authentic reactions to arriving on-set.”
In a mutual act of defiance, you and Shouto remained dead-silent for the remaining two blocks. It was a welcome respite, especially given that it seemed those silences would be few and far between for the rest of the day.
Two steps out of the car and you were being accosted by a human gale-force. She arrived in a cloud of cherry-scented perfume, and wasted no time in handing over the two smoothies she was carrying. The badge pinned smartly to her dark blazer read “Noujuu Yōko”.
You’d just barely opened your mouth to offer a ‘thank you’, but the woman barely spared a glance before she turned and circled a finger in the air to follow.
“You’re seven minutes late.”
“Your crew was delayed and there were a number of road closures en route.” Shouto fell in line, his cooler hand lacing with your free one, “We weren’t—“
“—I sent a reminder email at 2:45 AM with these details. Your coordinator should have shared them.”
You watched as a notch appeared in your partner’s brow, a subtle display of his annoyance. Before he could retort, you broke in with a small laugh that felt as awkward and forced as it sounded.
“Sorry about that.” you said, “This is all… very new.”
You didn’t receive a response, nor at this point were you particularly expecting one. Avoiding the wires criss-crossing the asphalt while keeping up with her brisk pace was taking enough effort, anyways. Unfortunately, an experimental sip of the smoothie in your hand revealed that it tasted like chalk.
“Don’t feel the need to apologize.” Shouto murmured, as you slowed your pace. This close, notes of mint and jasmine stood out in his cologne as he leaned over to murmur to you, “She’s just high-strung. They can film and record as they like, now— I’ve already seen a camera following us, from the right. They’re looking for reactions.”
“So, no public meltdowns— got it.” you smiled weakly, a chill going up your spine at the prospect of indirectly being ‘on-air’.
Yōko led the way back to the first of the sound stages as she explained that Split Shift was filmed in a “psychologically-backed” sequence. The core of that process was candid footage, occasionally guided by interviews.
“You’ll be interviewing throughout the day, both separately and together.” she explained, at the door, “At midday, we’ll have a thirty-minute lunch, and a touch-up with hair and makeup. The afternoon will then be dedicated to wrapping up the heroics case.”
“The… what?” you asked, glancing at Shouto, “Is there something you’re supposed to look into?”
“Not that I am aware of.” Shouto said, “Although I assume, based on the increasing number of cameras that have tracked us here, that this is meant to be some kind of dramatic twist.”
It took you a moment to begin to spot them— angled around corners, hidden in the shrubbery and eaves of the soundstage. There was even a drone flying overhead, high up enough to muffle the whine of its motors. Apprehension bloomed in your chest, counting at least fifteen cameras, knowing there were likely more.
The tone Shouto adopted was pure apathy— but you knew it as a defense mechanism, to hide the anger he hated to show.
“Is there a particular direction you’d like us to face, to express our shock?” he said.
Yōko’s chartreuse eyes narrowed in a silent declaration of war.
“This way will be fine.”
In the next instant, a loud metallic screech made you jump. Whirling around, you realized that the garage door of the warehouse was opening, and although you couldn’t see much through the gloom, the sun’s rays did catch off another two camera lenses, at least.
“We’ve made a few changes on set.” Yōko had to raise her voice to speak over the shuffle of the film crew as they filled in the space, the descending screech of the drone, “Audiences used to prefer viewing the world of heroes at street-level, through the eyes of those they loved most. Now, they want to experience it, for themselves.”
You weren’t looking at her, though, or any of the multitudes of cameras. Instead, your gaze was focused on the mannequin angled in the center of the sound stage, and dressed in a disconcerting blend of lycra and tactical gear— specifically an all-too-familiar vest and utility belt.
Yōko’s voice rang out behind you, sending a chill up your spine as the full scope of what you had gotten yourself into began to click into place.
“So, [Last Name] [First Name]. Are you ready to become a hero?”

Hi. So I found this
Tumblr media
And you can’t tell me that it doesn’t scream Fushiguro Reader’s drip. She could be wearing the most expensive kimono for her birthday (courtesy of uncle Naoya) but what stood out the most was her footwear. People are supposed to be GUSHING over the kimono but they cant help stare at her sandals
Fushiguro reader is just slurping up her noodles, not caring for manners while everyone stares at her feet
And uncle Naoya is sharpening his blade cuz they being creeps for staring at his niece’s feet
And that was the only time Fushiguro reader didn’t cause her usual chaos because I feel like she loves her uncle enough that she’s willing to offer him some peace and mind on her special day because he became her mom AND her dad ☺️
Platonic Yandere Uncle Naoya x Fushiguro reader
Oh yesss 100%. I mean just imagine that its reader's birthday (who is either a teen/adult now) and Naoya already gifted her the kimono the day before her actual birthday, and by now reader knows that she has to wear it because its a tradition- every year, Naoya gives you a kimono for your birthday (which is the first of many gifts he has for you) and you have to wear it for the birthday portraits he has commisioned for and its followed by a big party at night at home, so yeah... its the same every year because according to him "this is how rich people celebrate their birthdays."
You only comply because he lets you do anything you want for the rest of the day before the big party, plus you do love your uncle. I mean, even if he's an ass sometimes, a misogynist to everyone else, a walking red flag... he still raised you like his own, provided you with all the luxuries and a comfortable life, even after you were "abandoned" by your father. In his own way, you know he loves you and only wants the best for you.
Anyways, its the morning of your birthday, the maids have just finished dressing you up and doing your hair and you go to the living room for your pictures, and as expected the rest of the clan is already there, smiling widely as they all gushed about how pretty you looked in traditional clothing and its a nice sight to see you out of your Hello Kitty shorts and a hoodie with Naoya's face edited on a cockroach. They all start coming towards you, wishing you a happy birthday and envelopes with wads of cash, the females kissing your cheeks and cooing how cute you looked, while the men stiffly patted your head.
After the portrait and family pictures are done, its time for you and Naoya to do stuff you want while the family prepares for your big party.
You're both sitting in the car as the driver takes you to your favourite place- 7/11. "Do you like your kimono?" Naoya asks, looking out his window.
You nod. "I do. Thanks. Its really comfortable."
Naoya turns to look at you. "It better be. Its Chanel."
"Its definitely better than the snakeskin Gucci kimono you got me last year."
"I thought you'd like to know how it feels." Before you could argue, your favourite convenience store came into place and you were already out the door before the car had even came to a full stop, making Naoya yell at the driver for not getting the child locks installed.
-
Naoya could only watch in disgust as you ate downed another bowl of instant ramen before moving onto another one, the noodles smacking against your cheek as you slurped hard.
"Ugh." Naoya cringed as he picked up a napkin to wipe the residues off your face. "Why must you eat so messily? Do I need to send you to table etiquette classes?"
You just shrugged. "Its fun this way." You picked up another onigiri before inhaling it.
"Oh my- can you stop eating like you dont know where your next meal is coming from?!"
"Can you stop screaming? This is a public place, and you're disturbing everyone with your screeching." "You brat-" "Buy me some instant rice. I need to add it to my soup."
As Naoya is walking towards the aisle, grumbling about how this chemical pumped liquid full of MSG that you kill "soup" is gonna kill you one day, he notices some people standing in the corner and just staring at you- or more specifically, your feet.
And thats when Naoya notices those pink monstrosity of sandals.
What's worse is that these people are just gawking so openly, hell they even have their phones out and taking pictures of your feet and its driving Naoya absolutely bonkers because what kind of feet fetish creeps are these guys (some of them are just old grandmas, but Naoya does not discriminate. Everyone's a creep.)
Besides, he doesnt know how long they've been standing there. For all he knows, they could've taken pictures of more than just your feet and Naoya doesn't remember giving them the permission to fucking look, let alone record you!
So, naturally, Naoya stomps over to you and tells you that you need to leave now. Upon inquiring, Naoya tells you about the "creeps" who have been recording you all this time and what not and you just shrug.
"I'm not leaving. Besides, it doesnt bother me."
"Y/n dont start-"
"Cant you take care of it? I thought you said youd let me do anything on my birthday." You take the rice from his hands and dump into in your soup. "This is all sounds like an excuse for either your jealousy because I'm the one who's taking the spotlight or your inability to protect me, hm?"
And Naoya knows- he KNOWS this is your unbothered ass doing reverse psychology on him, but it works.
Because now Naoya has taken their phones, smashed them to the ground until they were pieces and then immediately bought the whole store so that these creeps can be thrown out.
-
"See? I can take care of you. And you wish I was jealous of you."
"Mmhmm." You hummed as you ate your ice cream. The whole store was now empty, so you could eat as much as you wanted in peace.
Naoya narrowed his eyes. "Besides, those sandals were not a good decision. Who let you walk around like that?"
"Your hair is not a good decision. Who let you dye it that color? Does everyone in the hate you so much that they let you walk around like that?" You countered.
"You brat, you're lucky its your birthday."
"I'm also lucky I dont look like a bleached rat, unlike some people who thought that was the shade of blonde they wanted their hair to be."

Noodles | one shot
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Saitama X Gn!Reader
Summary: You meet a bald hero. He always appears at the most random moments. (Not that you particularly mind)
Tumblr media
In the bustling aisles of the local grocery store, a battle of wills erupted over a simple pack of discounted instant noodles. You and Saitama, both reaching for the last pack, locked eyes in a silent challenge that quickly escalated into a tug-of-war.
“Hey! That’s mine!” you shouted, refusing to back down.
Saitama’s expression remained calm and collected. “Sorry, but I got here first.”
“No way, I’m not letting go!” you retorted, pulling with all your might.
The pack stretched and strained between you, customers around you watching the spectacle with raised eyebrows.
“Give it up already.” Saitama urged, his deadpan tone contrasting with the intensity of the battle.
“Like hell I will!” you shot back, your determination fueled by stubbornness and hunger.
The standoff continued until, with a sudden surge of strength, Saitama yanked the pack toward him, leaving you stumbling backward.
“Damn it, Baldy!” you exclaimed, throwing your hands up in defeat.
He tucked the noodles under his arm casually. “Thanks.”
From that day onward, every encounter with Saitama seemed to lead to chaos.
(You figured out his hero name was Caped Baldy and cackled for a good while.)
Whether it was a giant monster rampaging through the streets or a minor inconvenience at the park, you inevitably found yourself caught in the crossfire.
Like now.
“Ahh! What the heck?!” you screamed, dodging debris from a monster’s swipe.
Saitama landed beside you, dispatching the threat with a single punch. The aftermath from his punch sent you flying. “Oops, my bad.”
“Your bad?!” you yelled, brushing dust off your clothes. “I almost died!”
He scratched his head. “You seem to attract trouble.”
“And you seem to cause it!” you retorted, frustration bubbling over.
Despite your exasperation, Saitama’s nonchalant demeanor grated on your nerves. How could someone be so laidback in the face of such absurdity?
“You know,” you started, glaring at him, “Shouldn’t you be concerned about what power does on others?”
Saitama shrugged. “Eh, it happens.”
“You’re impossible,” you muttered, throwing your hands up in exasperation.
He flashed you a small smile. “But you keep appearing.”
You scoffed, but deep down, you knew he was right. As much as Saitama’s antics drove you crazy, there was something oddly comforting about having him around. Maybe it was his unshakeable confidence or his ability to handle any situation with ease.
One day, after yet another chaotic encounter that left the local ramen shop in ruins, you and Saitama stood amidst the wreckage, staring at the destroyed bowls of ramen.
“Well, there goes lunch,” you sighed, shaking your head.
Saitama scratched his head. “Sorry about that.”
“It’s fine,” you replied with a shrug. “We’ll just have to get more.”
He raised an eyebrow. “Get more?”
“Yeah, and this time, let’s settle this properly,” you said, a mischievous glint in your eye. “Let’s see who can make the better bowl of noodles.”
“Because last time, you stole mine!” You pointed an accusatory finger at him.
Saitama blinked, processing your challenge. “You’re on.”
And so, you both ventured to the supermarket, determined to prove your culinary skills. The cashiereyed you both warily as you placed your groceries, sizing up the competition.
Back at Saitama’s house, you focused intently on creating the perfect bowl of ramen. Saitama’s approach was surprisingly simple, while yours was more experimental, adding unconventional toppings and spices.
(You’re pretty sure you saw Saitama just text his friend what to do next.)
After what seemed like an eternity of slurping noodles and tasting broth, the time came to judge the results.
“So?” you asked eagerly, eyeing Saitama’s satisfied expression.
He nodded approvingly. “Not bad.”
You grinned, taking a big gulp of his creation. “Hmm, pretty good.”
Saitama glanced at your bowl, a hint of curiosity in his eyes. “Let’s see what you’ve got.”
You presented your bowl proudly, a colorful masterpiece. (A magnum opus.)
He took a bite, his expression unreadable behind the mask. After a moment, he nodded again. “Impressive.”
“Ha! I knew mine was better,” you exclaimed, pumping a fist in victory.
Saitama chuckled, a rare sound that made you smile. “Alright.”
Abruptly, the door opened. The demon cyborg walked in. His name was—?
“Oh, hey Genos.” Saitama waved lazily.
“Hello Master.” He greeted Saitama before turning towards you. You watched his arms grow in heat and the beams threatening to burn you.
“Shall I remove the garbage, Master Saitama?”
“Genos um—“
“Don’t you fucking shoot!”

"Join us, my Light."
Two centuries ago, the ruler of the Light disappeared, plunging the universe into chaos and disrupting the sacred, unspoken balance of the universe.
The eight rulers of the Darkness never stopped looking for her; their obsession never once waning since she vanished.
Recently, they've sensed something. Never around long enough to pinpoint but so euphoric that it sings within their veins. And since meeting you, well... slowly they begin to understand why.
"Sink into the darkness with us."

It was roughly 17:49 when you had another phone call. This time, it was Jee-Won’s caller ID that greeted you, not Ji-Ah’s. A picture of her kissing your smiling cheek and you with your eyes scrunched up. Funny how the picture held so much happiness but its motives caused you nothing but dread at whatever crazed things she wanted to discuss with you now.
You sighed long and deep; your food was ready and you’d just sat down to begin digging in. How utterly stupid of you to assume that you could simply eat your food in peace.
“Hey, Jee-Won,” you said, masking your mild frustration. Speaking to her before you were going out was slowly tearing down the mental preparation you’d been working on. Dealing with her now was seriously reinforcing the recurring thoughts of simply not going… but you’d promised Ji-Ah. You couldn’t back out now (despite how much you wanted to).
You loved Jee-Won dearly, you and her had been friends since you were very young. You knew basically everything about each other and could trust each other with everything. The fact that your personalities differ so greatly only made that friendship even stronger as one could offer outlooks and perspectives the other couldn’t. Through your care for each other, it was obvious you always had each others’ back.
Doesn’t mean she doesn’t grate your nerves sometimes though.
Jee-Won let out an ungodly squeal on her end of the phone and you had to pull the phone away from your ear, wincing.
“Happy birthday, my beautiful best friend! How are you on this gorgeous day?” Contrary to your mild vexation, her bubbly energy never failed to make you smile. This was something you could mirror, being practically all smiles yourself.
Picking up your chopsticks, you began to twist the cheap store-bought noodles absentmindedly. “I’m wonderful, thank you. I’ve had a very… interesting day so far, but it has been genuinely good. How are you doing?”
Interesting was one word for it - neither Yunho nor Yeosang had left your mind all day. Thinking about them was natural and your best efforts were no match to their lingering effect on you.
Some selfish part of you wanted to go back to ‘Life Rose On’ right now just to see Yeosang again. Yunho you had resigned yourself to the understanding that you’d probably never see each other again (a fact that saddened you much more than it should’ve). Perhaps you were being childish in your hope that they knew each other.
It made sense; stumbling into two new pretty boys in the same shop on the same day. Couldn’t be entirely coincidental that they were in such close proximity with one another. Alas, the unknown was killing you and your unexplainable longing for the two handsome strangers remained.
  And it was unexplainable.
Meeting and interacting with those two today felt so intense, so real. Somehow, talking to them was easy and could be done with the familiarity of long-time friends. After the initial hiccups (stumbling over your feet and words), when Yunho spoke to you it felt like every one of your senses was being stroked so sensually and lovingly that it made you shiver. When Yeosang had tucked that breathtaking purple rose behind your ear, that same shiver and unrestrained emotions of rightness returned.
  … it bothered you.
Never in all of your years of living had you let anyone have such an effect on you. Nor were you one to be swayed by good looks alone so easily. Admittedly, both men were incredibly kind and friendly which enabled you to talk to them for longer, in addition to their angelic appearances.
The effect that they’d had on you troubled you for a reason you couldn’t quite understand and, simply put, you were uncomfortable with it, especially after one meeting.
In conclusion, it wasn’t them that made you uncomfortable but rather the effect they had on you that did. Or did it? Oh, you didn’t know. These feelings confused you and only gave you a headache.
Realistically, you’d never see Yunho again and you’d probably see Yeosang once or twice more considering he worked in the florist you regulared. There you go, done. No need to dwell on it anymore. Nope. Not. At. All.
“Hello? Are you still there?” Jee-Won’s mildly concerned voice startled you and made you realise just how far you’d sunk into the ocean of your thoughts.
You massaged your temples. “Sorry, Jee-Won. I didn’t sleep well last night, is all. What were you saying?”
You practically taste her fond exasperation on the other end of the phone. “Are you sure you want to come out tonight? You know Ji-Ah won’t take it personally.”
  That snapped you to attention.
“I know that but I genuinely want to go, I promise.” Hoping your tone of false conviction was believable enough, you glanced at your watch. 17:54. Two hours and six minutes before you had to be there.
“Mhm. Yeah, absolutely. I believe you one hundred percent.” Apparently, you were not as convincing as you’d once believed. “I won’t force you not to come because I know that despite how much you don’t want to go, you’ll go for the sake of other people. But please, if you need to go home early, please, please do. I know you don’t like it when everyone starts to get pissed.”
Well, she wasn’t wrong there. The easy way out was like a weighted security blanket around your shoulders. A sense of grounding that you hadn’t realised you needed. Of course, Jee-Won noticed. Jee-Won, for all of her flaws, was a good friend. One that you wouldn’t replace for the world.
“Curse you and your eternal wisdom,” you said and laughed. Then in a quieter voice added, “And I will.”
A muffled snap could be heard from the other end. “I know what will help.” Oh dear. “Getting our hair done together!”
You supposed that the night was never destined to start on schedule; who knew that it would begin during your ramen?
──•~❉ ᯽ ❉~•──
“Uh, Jee-Won I hate to burst your bubble but I think we’re in the wrong place. This looks like someone’s house, not somewhere where we can get our hair done.”
“We are very much in the right place, my beautiful sunchild.”
Your face twisted in immediate distaste. Sunchild?
You repeated it silently to Ji-Ah behind Jee-Won’s back and she mirrored your baffled expression. That certainly was a new one.
Both of you turned to look at the building that was allegedly where you’d be getting your hairstyles for tonight. You didn’t necessarily see why Jee-Won had put so much emphasis on your hair in general, let alone praise this place to buggery and ultimately drag you two there against your will. Heck, you’d have been happy curling your hair or simply braiding it so at least it differed from your typical style.
This place was huge. When she had said hair stylist, you expected a dainty little corner shop surrounded by similar establishments relatively close to ‘Life Rose On’. Everything was around there. The mansion that you beheld in front of you was on a whole new level.
Never in your life had you seen a building like this, forget anything else. It was a truly impressive piece of architecture; there seemed to be multiple layers to the mansion and different areas with varying spires and towers.
The three of you stood on the entrance balcony. Beams of a rich brown supported the canopied roof and each were delicately hugged by the richest, healthiest clematis you’d ever had the honour of seeing in your life. Jung-Hee’s abilities to nurture plants was impressive but the owner of this fantastical building had powers akin to the Gods. Each beam seemed complimentary to the gold-lined, rectangular windows that were on either side of the main oak door, and the patterns on them made that of an intricate hourglass - one half stained a deep black and the other a blinding white, slowly being tainted by the darkness. Or at least, that’s how you saw it. Perhaps ‘The Hidden War Within’ was turning you into more of a poet than you thought.
Removing yourself from the balcony temporarily, you strained your neck to ogle at the rest of the building. The roof the balcony on the ground floor was seemingly the foundations of the first floor as you saw that a set of glossy black rocking chairs and a dazzling coffee table sat atop it. This time, blood red roses wrapped around the fence bordering that area and worked as a nice contrast to the lighter purple of the clematis.
Of what you’d processed of the building so far, it was a double-layered abode with a relatively square shape. Then you looked to the right and it was more reminiscent of a castle than anything else for a circular tower merged into the rest of the building and had a spire at the top of it. It reminded you of a fairytale you read as a child.
Beyond that, there were two further layers to the house. Each topped with the traditional Korean dancheong roof, the building truly was like something out of a novel.
Quite peculiarly, there seemed to be… trees? Growing from some of the open windows? The picture it painted was exquisite but you wondered with unrestrained curiosity how on Earth the owner managed to achieve such a thing.
You’d have to tell Jung-Hee all about this mystical house next time you saw her. The fact that the mansion itself was well out of the way of the main road and surrounded by an incandescent forest was just feeding your slowly spiralling feelings of awe.
As Ji-Ah and Jee-Won bickered by the front door, you took your sweet time to observe every sheltered nook and every single captivating cranny of the house’s exterior… when you caught a glimpse of something in the tower window. Squinting your eyes, they promptly widened once more when you realised it was a someone and not a something.
Just as quickly as they’d come, they had disappeared. You blinked rapidly, trying in vain to see if you could catch a glimpse of the dark figure in the window.
From what little you had seen, whoever it was was male and looked relatively tall. His face was wholly covered by the shadow the lighting gave him but you could’ve sworn you saw the slightest hint of a smile.
A shiver ran down your spine and you shook your head to recompose yourself. The day was catching up to you - getting to your head. You needed to breathe and stay grounded rather than let your head wander, especially in a place as isolated as this.
You were just about to go towards Ji-Ah and Jee-Won when something wet hit your nose. At first, the shock made you freeze momentarily but reaching up to touch the droplet you found it was only rain. Then, a booming clap echoed through the forest and then the rain began to pour down with a vengeance.
Running for the balcony, you avoided trampling the delicate pathway the owner had laid out. Ji-Ah and Jee-Won looked as though they were struggling to hold back their laughs and you raised a soaking finger at them.
  “Listen-”
“Oh, you must be freezing!” A kind voice said from behind the two of them. All three of you looked at the mystery voice immediately and the breath left your lungs for the third time that day. “Please, do come in,” he said and gestured for you all to follow him through the front door.
The man must’ve been a God because the urge to drop to your knees and worship him with everything you had was suffocating.
His hair was the first thing you noticed about him; silky raven locks lay gracefully across his forehead and framed his face perfectly, like a dark angel. You hadn’t had ample time to examine (appreciate) his face before he turned around but you saw his outfit.
Long, dark tailored trousers hugged his legs. Flaring off towards his feet, you saw that the man wore glossy black heeled boots that only added to his intimidating aura. There was something so divine about a man confident in his appearance and this man was an example, not an exception.
Embracing his torso was something akin to a black waistcoat except there were no sleeves nor were there any shoulder coverings; it came up to his chest and gave way to a bright white blouse whose sleeves hung from his muscular arms like decorations and a button up collar that gave the man an impression of elevated status. The cherry on top of the cake was the brief glimpse of an expensive silver necklace you noticed decorated his neck.
You could basically hear the wealth and power screaming from his form as you followed dutifully behind him and through the mansion’s winding halls. Nothing around you was being processed, your attention wholly centered on the man you trailed behind.
“You’ll catch flies if you don’t shut your mouth,” Ji-Ah’s smug voice said. Your attention was immediately directed at her, scandalised that she’d say something like that as loudly as she did.
An inquisitive hum was heard from in front of you and your knees nearly buckled when seeing his face for the first time.
(Perfect, chiselled jawline. Perfect, sharp nose. Perfect, full lips. Perfect, piercing boba eyes and, undeniably, one of the most handsome faces you’ve ever seen.)
One of his eyebrows were raised in question but lowered once he saw the two of you. “Ah, the architecture is rather impressive, isn’t it? This was built by my great, great grandfather during the nineteenth century.”
Letting out a subtle breath of relief at his misunderstanding, you subtly nudged Ji-Ah’s side with your elbow. She almost landed you in one of the most humiliating experiences of your life. You never would have forgiven her if he’d picked up on why your jaw was actually dropped.
“Forgive me, I never did introduce myself,” he turned once more and bowed deeply. He straightened and made eye contact with you.
Perhaps you were delusional. Perhaps you were just seeing what you wanted to see. But the way he was looking at you made you feel like he was picking apart the very linings of your soul.
“My name is Park Seonghwa, but you may call me Seonghwa.”
──•~❉ ᯽ ❉~•──
Eventually, Seonghwa led the three of you to what looked like a dining room.
The walls altered between pink and white marble with streaks of gold complimenting the foundation colour. There were old sconces laid evenly across the walls of the gigantic room and they all lit up a long table, the key feature of the room. An impressive chandelier dangled from the ceiling and the scarce rays of light bounced off of it in a faint imitation of falling stars.
What truly caught your attention was the painting on the opposite side of the room. It covered the entire wall; black and white paint entwining with each other to give the picture frame a misty effect and the same hourglass patterns from the windows lay in each corner of the frame.
Nine people were in the painting. Eight men and one woman. Each man wore an outfit straight from a fantasy novel, completely covered in black clothing. Some donned a cloak, others were clad in onyx medieval armour and one with a crown made entirely of black metal and dangerously glinting gemstones. Quite fascinatingly, the one with his hand on the girl’s shoulder wore a dark half skirt and black trousers that were connected to a torso of gold, floral patterns dusting a glossy tunic.
In a certain light, it looked as though their eyes were following your slow movements around the space but you disregarded that thought as soon as it entered your head.
The girl, on the other hand, well… the resemblance she bore to you was uncanny. She lay across the floor in front of the eight men and wore a white dress that could only be described as having the consistency of a cloud.
“Hey, that’s kind of freaky,” Jee-Won said from behind you. She was also looking at the painting and was alternating her gaze from the painting girl and your face.
“Jee-Won, don’t be rude,” Ji-Ah scolded from her side.
“I am not being rude, I’m making an observation.”   “Could you try and be more polite about it next time then, please?” Ji-Ah returned, equally as sassy as Jee-Won had been.
You shook your head fondly at them. Since becoming a trio, it had been a constant battle between the two of which was right and which was wrong. Ji-Ah had a better understanding of social situations and standards whereas Jee-Won’s unfiltered opinions were something that both benefited her and were to her detriment - like right now.
Seonghwa entered your peripheral and placed a calming hand on each of your friends’ shoulders. “Now, now, there’s no need to argue, is there?” There was a power in his words that had the girls quieting down instantly. You were surprised at the look of sheer embarrassment that was on their faces; and you thought you were bad.
Seonghwa gave them each a pleased hum and crooked a pointy, gloved finger for you all to follow him. He sat down on a cream-coloured chaise longue, posture entirely straight, and patted the seat next to him as he made direct eye contact with you.
You gulped but did as he wished. Tension rendered your body immovable and prolonged eye contact was impossible.
Contrary to Yunho and Yeosang, Seonghwa had an effortless motherly energy to him and a deep part of you didn’t want to risk tarnishing that with any hesitance or inclination to disdain. Because you were very much not disdainful of Seonghwa, the exact opposite actually.
Watching as Ji-Ah and Jee-Won sat down on the two individual lounge chairs opposite you two, you remembered that you’d all come here to get your hair done. Nothing in this mansion seemed equipped to give you those services nor did you think that you’d have enough time between now - 18:40 - and when you had to be at the night club - 20:00.
Seonghwa might look like a miracle but you doubt he could perform them.
A clap and all three of you snapped to look at him. He held his entwined hands to his chest and smiled softly at you all.
“Firstly, I would like to welcome you to my home. I trust you’ll respect it as it will you during your time here.” The three of you nodded.
“Excellent. Now, I understand each of you are here to have your beautiful hair styled to perfection for the birthday girl’s night out,” he gave you a wink and you felt your heart stutter in your chest. “Unfortunately, due to the late hour, my… colleagues will be taking two of you whilst I give my undivided attention to another.”   You all seemed to have a silent conversation with each other. His words and logic made sense but his implication that you would all be separated had you grimacing mildly. There wasn’t an issue, you were all grown women - you’d just thought that you could enjoy each others’ presence before the night out when you’d be swarmed by drunkards and junkies. Much fun.
The conspirational smile he gabe you all made you aware that he was privy to your mild displeasure. “My sincerest apologies, ladies. I simply wish to maximise time and efforts.”
“It’s no trouble at all, thank you so much for even accepting us in on such short notice. You’re a lifesaver,” Jee-Won practically gushed. You raised your brow, short notice, huh? She’s acting as though she hasn’t had this planned for the better part of a week (you’d overheard her and Ji-Ah talking).
Seonghwa raised a hand. “No need to thank us. We’re always happy to help, aren’t we, Yongbokie-dear?”
A short man with pretty silver hair entered the room. He looked young, only mildly younger than you. “Of course, we are.” His deep voice contrasted his innocent features, much like Yeosang’s had but to a milder degree. He met Seonghwa’s eyes, “We’re ready now, Seonghwa-hyung.”
“Have the three of you decided who will stay with me?” Seonghwa questioned, looking rather intensely at you.
You got so caught up in his eyes that you nearly missed Ji-Ah’s comment. “Jee-Won and I will leave you two to it. Thank you again, Seonghwa-ssi.” The look of unbridled horror on your face caused her to stifle a laugh and you prayed to whatever god was listening that Seonghwa didn’t pick up on it.
Seonghwa merely smiled in goodbye as they followed Yongbok out of the room… leaving you alone with a man who compromised your ability to talk.
Being alone with Seonghwa was worse than being alone with Yunho or Yeosang. You didn’t know why but you genuinely felt as though words were beyond you right now.
As though approaching a frightened deer, he extended his hand slowly for you to take. Your eyes darted rapidly from his own and his hand, struggling to comprehend what he was asking of you, why you were reacting like this and just what was going to happen now.
“Shall we, darling?” Is it possible to melt into the floor? Because that’s how his voice made you feel.
With a new found determination, you took his hand and allowed him to bring you over to a window seat you hadn’t noticed on your way in. Lengthy, silk curtains obstructed it from the dining room’s view but once Seonghwa guided you through them, it was like being embraced by shadows.
Very little light penetrated the area for the curtains were dark enough to block the sconces from the dining room and where a window should have been there was only dark marble.
Seonghwa gently sat you down on a chair in the centre of the area. You remained as silent as he while he rummaged through whatever was behind you.
Despite how many times you reflected on the whirlwind that was today, you still couldn’t completely comprehend any of the turns it had taken.
An hour glass was placed on a previously unseen table in front of you and you jumped at the unexpected movement. Dark sand dominated the most of it and only a slither of white sand sat atop it. It seemed to be some form of bioilluminescant sand as it was glowing in the darkness. How, you did not know. You didn’t question it though, it was beautiful.
“Seonghwa-ssi? Excuse me if this is rude but I was wondering how you were going to style my hair in this lighting?” Your meek voice permeated the blanket of silence that had settled over you two.
His rummaging halted momentarily as he chuckled lowly. “Not rude at all, little one. A perfectly sound question.” You jumped slightly when you felt his hands in your hair, removing any accessories you had in and detangling the biggest knots. “I work better in the darkness, you see. I find home in its existence and security in its embrace.”
Your gaze remained fixed on the hourglass in front of you as you absorbed his words. You couldn’t understand how anyone could prefer the darkness to the light. The darkness was stifling and clung to you like a parasite, always had done, always will do. The hourglass was a direct representation of that; it was practically crushing the white sand and reducing it to the thinnest grains possible all in order to rid its presence entirely.
Seonghwa began to part your hair, separating the top of your hair from the bottom. “What do you think of the darkness, dear?” He asked, and you could sense the genuine curiosity behind his words.
“I don’t dislike it. I just prefer the light,” your words gained a few ounces of strength with every sentence you spoke. It shouldn’t be as substantial as it was but having been rendered speechless so many times today, the ability to talk was relieving to have once more.
“How fascinating,” he whispered. Both hands were focused on the top half of your hair now; you felt two pieces of hair tickle your cheeks in what you assumed was him using them to structure your face. He parted your hair down the middle once more except this time it felt as though he was going to braid them. Going off of that assumption, you followed his hand movements as best as you could without actually seeing them as he begun to manoeuvre the right side of your hair.
“If I may ask, why do you prefer it?”
It was a good question. The answer was as natural as breathing. “It’s… safe. It’s hope, it gives everything life and through that gives them happiness.”
His hands finished the plait he was working on and he rested them tactfully on each side of your head, gently stroking the soft locks as he thought of an answer. “Wouldn’t you agree that without the darkness, there is no light? Similar to without death, there would be no life?”
You hummed, digesting his words. Secretly, you were rather entertained by this turn in conversation. It was very reminiscent of ‘The Hidden War Within’ with the discussion of dark and light and their codependency on each other to survive but also how they consistently defy the other’s existence.
You started off slowly, choosing your words. “Alright, well… take a flower, it is inevitable that they will fall to the darkness and death that swallows it. But there’s always a light that shines down on it and through that light there will be a new bud that will be protected and nurtured by the light until the darkness once again claims that life.”
The white sand seemed to glow brighter all of a sudden and you paused in your words. How ironic.
“Finish what you were saying, dear. I am enjoying this immensely.” The sand dimmed and you found your head tilting at its loss.
“Right, um. I think through the existence of light, darkness must consequently exist too. They need each other to balance the other out, that’s simply the way of the world. Too much of one thing - like overpopulation or war - can have a detrimental effect on that balance and that’s why the world is in so much discord today. Because that balance hasn’t existed for a long time. So to answer your question,” you could feel how your gaze was glued to the hourglass.
For reasons you couldn’t explain, it was magnetic and you were hopeless to resist its pull. The more you spoke, the more the sand looked fluid; it began to twist and weave through and around one another until it mirrored the universe, stars filling in its vastness and only reminding it of its mortality. It was morbidly beautiful.
“I believe that without the darkness there would be no light. And I believe that, somewhere, there is a place where light and darkness meet and the distinction between good and evil is no more because there is only existence where morals and nature don’t have a sway.”
You reached for the hourglass and turned it over, watching as the sand glided across itself. Nature’s river, caught in a glass prison. “That is how we will find true peace. When war is over, when selflessness works alongside selfishness, when the line between love and hate isn’t so thin after all and instead becomes one.”
Seonghwa had finished styling your hair minutes ago. He simply stood behind you, hands gently caressing your locks of hair as he listened intently. Even after you finished, slightly breathless, he remained silent as though taking in every last one of your words to heart and committing them to his memory.
The curtain was ripped open and light spilled in the dark space you’d settled into. Inquisitively, you turned to look at him and your mouth dropped when you saw there were tears in his eyes.
“Oh, my - are you alright?”
He burst into sobs, and hid his head in his hands as collapsed onto the chaise longue from earlier. You stood frozen, completely baffled at the turn of events and even more reluctant to approach him since you were sure you had caused it.
“Seonghwa-ssi, I am so sorry. I really-”   “No,” he raised his hand, stopping your apologies before they became ceaseless. He seemed to be struggling to compose himself if his long, deep breaths were anything to go by.
You stood, fiddling with the hourglass absentmindedly as you waited tensely for him to make the next move.
Seonghwa took one final deep breath and stood on shaky legs. He began walking over to you with such intent you stumbled back slightly. Before you realised what was happening, he grabbed your face in his hands - his teary eyes meeting your wide ones.  “You… are perfect.”

HEY HEY HEY HEY HEYYYYY
ok i wanna do sum short if request are closed please ignore :)
King Ghidorah x human! reader who can hear far away kinda like dolores from encanto? One-shot or HC what ever you prefer 🙃
“Tonight. He wants 5 babies.” -Dolores
More than happy to oblige, Anon! Not a lot of King Ghidorah HCs around, so I suppose I got to support what I can lol. Had to make it short because TUMBLR
Ah, King Ghidorah, my long lost love. The False King, Destroyer of Worlds, Monster Zero, the Death Song of Three Storms… ends up with a human mate. Quite unexpected, very unexpected. The mere thought of Ghidorah wooing a human to become his mate was just absurd to Monarch scientists: who was this person, why did they become Ghidorah’s mate, how did they become Ghidorah’s mate?! All these unanswered questions, and they definitely weren’t going to be able to grab answers from the walking hurricane himself, or more specifically, the heads.
With having a human as his mate, Ghidorah has to be careful, ungodly amounts of careful, but if they possess the unique ability to be able to hear noises from leagues away? Ichi is surprised the human hasn’t gone insane from all of the over stimulants, and is genuinely worried about their health because of this power.
Ichi is the head that took the longest to warm up to, but he is the head that cares the most about the well-being of his mate. Whenever he could, Ichi would lean down, tenderly nudging his mate with concern practically brimming from his golden gates; his tongue would flick out, grazing over his mate, speaking through his actions as he cannot convey words. If Nii or San, specifically Nii, attempt to do any sort of skit in an attempt to irritate or get a reaction from their shared mate, Ichi would be the one to harshly bite into one of their horns, yanking them up and emitting warning growls from his throat as a vague threat should they continue to pester their S/O.
God, Ichi would be borderline trying to make as little noise as possible (for a god damn Kaiju) for his S/O’s sake. I imagine with that sort of hearing, you could accidentally burst your eardrums, as to hear that far, you gotta learn to heighten your hearing to travel across that distance; one wrong step, and you could have a ruptured ear. Ichi would piece that together pretty quickly, and just… try to tell his other heads to shut it. Minimal blinking, minimal breathing, minimal everything in general. He just wants his S/O to be comfortable.
Then, there’s Nii. Oh, my sweet lovable Nii. Ever the aggressor and one to cause chaos, he’d be absolutely overbearing to where he’d be causing so much noise in an attempt to help his S/O. He’d blow up at Ichi or San for the smallest of things - they’re being too loud, so he’d attempt to bully them into shutting up, then start a fight with Ichi and that’s a whole clownfest in itself. Nii would be the head that took the second longest to warm up to his new S/O, as he isn’t as highly guarded as Ichi is, but it’s still quite the accomplishment to be able to reign Nii in because of his nature as a whole.
God, his S/O has him wrapped around their tiny fingers. Would do absolutely anything for them… then get into fights over the heads about it. Through their shared mental connection, he recommends the idea of ear muffs and how they should grab some immediately, right now, and then try to tug the body to the nearest store. He’s trying, he really is, but he doesn’t really realize his actions cause more harm than good… it’s the thoughts that count, right?
San is the easiest to warm up to, due to his quite jolly nature and interest in humans as a whole. He’d find it quite curious about his mate’s hearing abilities, always wondering, what can they hear? Can they hear Godzilla snoring in the ocean? He has to know! So he does bug his S/O more often than not, he doesn’t mean to cause any harm! He’s just a curious noodle, a very curious one indeed.
Once Ichi and Nii explain the situation, he does feel quite guilty. After all, he’d feel as though he’s been contributing to the strain on his S/O, when he really didn’t mean to. He’d try his best to be more quiet, but he does slip up quite often. Please don’t blame him, he’s trying.

The chaos only increases as the realization hits that Shíhóu is Sun Wukong himself, and he had NOT known his cub was fighting demons
Wukong: *Lecturing MK for lying to him*
Pigsy, awkwardly sidling into tne conversation: So... I take it ya didn't know?
Wukong: I know I'm pretty famous for being pretty irresponsible and impulsive as a cub... but do you really think I'd let my firstborn child fight a bunch of demon lords and royals that made my life a living hell while I was on the journey!? Do you really think I'm that irresponsible!?
Pigsy: Honestly... now that I know you the kid's mom... I get it. Before I knew you were related, I thought you were just lazy or retired or something.
prev.
Pigsy: "Let's be honest, if I was a god and MK was my kid; I'd retire too." MK: "Pigsy!" Wukong, laughing teasingly: "He was quite a handful as a baby!" MK: "MOm!" Wukong: "Like you're being now. I just knew that the superhero running around with my Staff was you! Even under a mask, I could tell you apart from a thousand clones!" Tang: "Can you really?" Wukong: "Easily. Just show them all a..." (*looks cheekily at the Eclipse twins*) Rumble & Savage: (*both transform*) "SPIDER!" MK: "EEEK!!" Noodle Gang: (*raucous laughter!*) Wukong: "Now you know how I felt when Bull told me that you were off fighting ancient demons like a superman." MK: "...ok I'll admit that I should have probably been more honest about that. Might have saved some trouble with DBK and the Gold Silver Twins if they knew who my secret identity was earlier." Wukong + Noodle Gang, with varying degrees of anger: "YA THINK!?"
S2 is basically MK being mega-grounded for lying. Rumble & Savage a little grounded too since they knew about it earlier due to Rumble's lotus ears. They were holding the information as blackmail towards their big brother for arcade trips and noodles. Mei gets grounded too when her parents hear about it from Wukong on the phone - an afternoon tea is organised between the parents so Wukong and the Ao Long's can catch up after so much time being low contact (screw royal dragon rules) XD

Coffee, Confessions, and Office Chaos
---
Tumblr media
---
Rating: General Audiences
Warning: Fluff, slight angst
Category:F/M
Fandom: Seventeen (SVT) (boyband)
Relationships: !office worker S.coups x !office worker f reader
Summary: it's not for some work place, but who knows?
Trope: office romance..
---
Hiiiii everyone who is reading! Welcome to the first installment of my new mini series called "Oi! Not this again!" They do not have to be read together or in order! I hope you all enjoy!
---
I had never been a morning person. Not until the day Seungcheol, or as everyone in the office affectionately called him - S.Coups, started bringing me coffee. At first, I thought it was a coincidence; he had simply grabbed an extra cup for a colleague. But then it became a routine. Every morning, like clockwork, a perfectly brewed cup of coffee would land on the corner of my desk with a smile brighter than the morning sun.
“Good morning, Y/N,” he’d say, placing the cup carefully next to my keyboard.
“Morning, Seungcheol,” I would reply, trying to hide the smile that tugged at my lips.
We worked in a bustling marketing firm, and while the job was fulfilling, it could be incredibly stressful. Seungcheol and I often found ourselves working late into the night, surrounded by stacks of paperwork and endless lists of deadlines.
One evening, as the clock ticked past 8 PM, I looked up from my screen and found him leaning against the door frame of my office, two take-out bags in hand
“Dinner break?” he suggested, tilting his head slightly, causing a few strands of his dark hair to fall into his eyes.
I laughed, pushing my chair back. "Only if you have extra soy sauce packets."
He grinned, his dimples making an appearance. “Always.”
We ate in silence at first, the only sounds coming from the bustling city outside. But soon, conversation flowed as easily as it always did between us. We talked about everything—from office gossip to our dreams and fears.
“You know, Y/N, you’re pretty amazing,” he said suddenly, catching me off guard.
I snorted, shaking my head. “You’ve seen my handwriting; I’m far from amazing.”
“I mean it,” he continued, his voice sincere. “You’re hardworking, kind, and you never give up. It’s… inspiring.”
A blush crept up my cheeks, and I focused intently on my noodles to avoid his gaze. There was something about his words, about the way he looked at me, that made my heart race in a way I wasn’t sure I could handle.
Days turned into weeks, and I found myself looking forward to our quiet moments together. The morning coffees, the late-night dinners, the shared glances across the office—it all felt like a beautiful secret between us.
One particularly exhausting Friday, the weight of the week caught up with me. I was the last one in the office, trying to meet an absurd deadline. Tears of frustration began to pool in my eyes as I stared at the screen, feeling utterly defeated.
“Y/N?”
Startled, I glanced up to see Seungcheol standing at my door, concern etched across his features.
“What’s wrong?” he asked gently, stepping inside and closing the door behind him.
“Just… everything,” I mumbled, wiping away a stray tear. “I can’t seem to get this right.”
He walked over, pulling a chair next to mine. “Show me.”
Together, we worked through the problem, and with his help, everything seemed to fall into place. By the time we finished, the clock read midnight.
“Thank you,” I whispered, my voice heavy with gratitude.
“It’s what friends are for,” he replied, but there was something different in his tone when he said the word ‘friends’.
My heart pounded as I mustered up the courage to ask the question that had been gnawing at me for weeks. “Seungcheol… is that all we are? Friends?”
He paused, looking at me with an intensity that made my breath hitch. “I hope not,” he admitted softly. “Because I’ve fallen for you, Y/N. Completely.”
Tears filled my eyes again, but this time, they were tears of overwhelming joy. “I’ve fallen for you too, Seungcheol.”
His smile was pure sunshine as he reached out, brushing a tear from my cheek. “Well then,” he said, his voice gentle, “how about we start this weekend with a date?”
I nodded, my heart soaring. “I’d love that.”
And just like that, our beautiful secret was unveiled, marking the beginning of a new chapter in our story—one filled with love, joy, and of course, plenty of morning coffees.

i did it, i did the thing 😌✨ turtlesona time!!
MAJOR thanks to my rad moot @snailsnaps for actually getting me to draw him because the executive was not functioning on the task until they brought it up /g
Just some additional lil fun facts/ramblings about Nova that I figured might be an interesting read ^^
+ Nova's name refers to both supernovas (which I think are super cool and am totally projecting my interest onto him) & 80's bossa nova music (very vibey and also gave inspiration for their color palette)
+ Crippling energy drink addiction /lh
+ Likes bugs, particularly moths (death's-head and poodle moths are very cool) & salamanders (their coloration).
+ Places stickers/decals all over themselves and their stuff. The shiny heart and wavey-line details on their shell?? Vinyl decals they made. They only have a few spots on their shell naturally (as natural as a mutant bog turtle is lmao) and thought it was too boring, so they "fixed" it.
+ Draws but only digitally; hates the mess/stickiness of traditional art (chalk pastels are the DEVIL; he's just like me,,,, he's just like me FR 😭🖐️)
+ HUGE seafood fan: will go rabid over a plate of shrimp alfredo; also really enjoys noodles in any form.
+ Hates hot tea but really enjoys a good iced tea.
+ Special interest in astronomy
+ OBNOXIOUS music taste (based off of mine lmao): mainly hyperpop-esque EDM or emo music, but as the design implies, also enjoys some bossa nova music when the mood hits.
+ If he's not wearing his mask, they're very partial to beanies (likes to have something on their face/head at all times)
+ This mf autistic as hell /pos (he's just like me fr x2)
+ Generally seems very laid-back and calm. He's just kinda there for the vibes. BUT they are a massive enabler for chaos--they may not be coming up with the plan, but they Will assist the cause to see what happens. He Can and Will lie with a straight face to help said chaos goblin out. He likes the drama 🤷
And THIS, is a bog turtle! I obviously changed coloration to have more fun with it (and didn't go with yellow markings cuz it resembled Mikey too much), but I kept them in mind:
Tumblr media
They're actually pretty similar in size and general build to little box turtles, so I went with Mikey's general body shape when designing Nova. :)
ANYWAY, that's it for now! Thanks for sticking around and reading, if you made it this far 😌✨

Sun Wukong x Fem! Mortal Reader - Selfish

Sun Wukong x Fem! Reader - Selfish
Paring: Sun Wukong x Fem! Mortal Reader
Rating: Rated E
Warning: Fluff, complicated feelings, Slight Angst, humor
︵‿︵‿୨♡୧‿︵‿︵︵‿︵‿୨♡୧‿︵‿︵
You were resting in your room, scrolling through your phone in your own world. You could hear the sound of your family talking and laughing in the front. You sighed as you lost yourself in the content before you on your phone screen.
You live a double life, to your family you're a nobody, you're a nerd, and you like games, anime, quirky music, cosplays, and fanfiction. However, they're unaware you're friends with the chaotic group.
The Monkie Kid: MK
The Horse Dragon Girl: Mei
The Noodle Master: Pigsy
The Mythology Pro and allegedly Professional Food Critic: Tang
The Blue Friendly Giant: Sandy and his sweet little companion Mo
The Fire Baby: Redson
The Shadow Monkey: Macaque
The Lotus Prince: Nezha
and The Monkey King himself: Sun Wukong
You were a strange group, but it was worth it, they were the best things that could've ever come into your boring life. You first discovered them through Mei's live streams that she would stream at the most random of times, but it was always funny to watch them goof around and sometimes it was eye-catching when a random monster would appear.
You met them by chance one day when your brother ordered noodles from Pigsy's shop, you were unaware of where he got his noodles from but you couldn't care less, you answered the door with a bored expression ready to make an exchange of money for food when your whole world was turned upside down.
You were overwhelmed with excitement when you saw it was MK himself, to say you were their biggest fan was an understatement. You fangirled, and you ranted your love to him and his friends, and he took in kind as he puffed up his chest in pride. You were able to get his number and that was a good day, then it became even better a few weeks later when he had to deliver another thing of noodles, this time he had Mei with him and she liked you instantly.
She and MK stayed at your home for an hour before she invited you to come with them to the arcade and after that, you were friends with them. Being friends with them started off normal, with sleepovers, hanging out, going to the movies or the mall, hanging out at Pigsy's Noodle shop... it was normal until you ended up going on one of their adventures due to chaos breaking out unexpectedly with you there.
Mei took this as the perfect opportunity to bring you with them on an adventure so that she could show off her and MK's powers. MK was hesitant, but it didn't take much convincing when Mei mentioned it. "You can show off your Monkey King powers!!" And he was sold instantly. You were terrified yet excited to be on the scene of the battle. The trembling of the ground, the bright glows of powers, the giant dragon, the Monkey Mech, it was all so addictive.
After that, you were always on their adventures with them, rooting them on from the side while also helping them plan out their battles. It's been like that for a few months now, and you've grown to love it. One day, MK decided to introduce you to the Monkie King, you knew of the legend of Monkie King, everyone in China did, it was a simple children's story that all children knew.
Before you met your new friends, you never believed in them, but seeing their powers in the flesh, you weren't so confident in your own skepticism anymore. So off you went, with MK, on his unstable and very quick pole. You clung onto his back for dear life as you hid your face from the winds that whipped past you both.
You and MK finally broke through the thick clouds, and you stared on in awe as you saw Flower Fruit Mountain surrounded by beautiful clouds. "Wow." You said breathlessly, MK chuckled. "YEAH!! IT'S PRETTY AMAZING, YEA!?" He shouted over the winds. You nodded silently as you stared at the view. It wasn't much longer after that when you and MK finally landed on the cliff of the mountain.
You looked around in wonderment, taking everything in amazement. You stared out over the vast lands that lay before Flower Fruit Mountain, and a small smile grew on your face. You jumped in shock when a little monkey landed on your shoulder. You stared at the little monkey in shock for a while before you smiled kindly at it. "Hey there, little guy, where you come from?" You asked sweetly to the monkey as you gently rubbed under its chin.
As you did, loads burst from the trees and higher rocks, you looked around in shock as they all surrounded you, speaking among themselves as they sat around or climbed over you. MK chuckled. "Oh, man!! Looks like they like ya, which is an extremely good thing." He commented. You looked over at him questionably as you held a monkey by its underarms.
"Oh yeah? Why's that?" You questioned. He was about to answer, but another voice beat him to it. "BECAUSE THEN THAT MEANS I'LL LIKE YOU TOO!! HANDS DOWN GUARANTEED!!" His voice echoed out. You looked around rapidly as you looked for the owner, but you couldn't find him, so you looked to MK for guidance, but he did nothing as he shrugged and smirked at you in amusement.
You turned back around to ask the little monkey in your hands, but you were met with a face instead. "Hi." He simply said with a relaxed smirk. You gasped dramatically as you stepped back doing karate chops and gestures before you took a ridiculous stance in shocked defense. MK, Monkey King, and all the little monkeys stared at you blankly. Your cheeks slowly warmed in embarrassment before you quickly straightened yourself up. "Umm, ahem... Hi." You awkwardly waved at him. He arched a brow at you as he looked you up and down before he shot MK a smirk. "I like her." He said as he jabbed his thumb at you.
"AWW YEAH!! I KNEW YOU WOULD!!" MK cheered in success as he fist pumped in triumph. You nervously smiled happy to have been accepted even after your embarrassing first impression. Monkey King smirked at his student before he looked over at you catching your attention. You straightened up and he chuckled at you before he walked ahead his hand waving for you to follow him.
"Come on, let me show ya around." He said, you nodded your head before you followed after him. MK continued to rant about how he must be Monkey King's psychic. Monkey King Shook his head in amusement as he comically grabbed MK by the back of his shirt with great ease.
He carried him on, while MK continued to celebrate, you chuckled at their antics as you followed closely behind them. He stopped in front of the waterfall, you watched curiously as he held up the ranting MK to the waterfall. You stared with an arched brow as you tilted your head. He looked over his shoulder at you with a proud smirk. "Give It time and watch the magic happen." He said You nodded slowly as you watched MK rant for another 30 seconds before he suddenly spread his arms wide apart and the waterfall parted like a giant beautiful curtain.
"Woah." You whispered in amazement. He looked back at you with a smug smirk. "I know, cool right?" He asked smugly and you couldn't help but just nod your head. He walked through the parted waterfall, and you followed after him, the little monkeys all followed as well, as they ran ahead of the three of you. "So, what's the story between you two?" Monkey King asked as he walked through the cave he calls 'home', MK still in his hand as he enjoyed the ride, his legs outstretched before him as he rested his hands on his knees.
"Me and MK met through my brother by chance." You explained as you looked around the place. He nodded his head idle as he listened to you speak. MK looked up at Monkey King with wide eyes as he nodded. "Mhm, her bro wanted some noodles so I delivered it and that's how we met." He said with a little smile as he pointed his thumb at himself proudly. Monkey King smiled down at him. "Oh yeah? Great job, bud, you found a keeper!!" He said cheerfully as he rubbed his head with his other hand.
You smiled at them. 'It's like a dad with his kid, cute.' You thought.
Your first meeting with Sun Wukong was very impressionable, he was funny, chill, relatable, and very family-oriented with his monkeys and MK. It was a pleasure to see, and you wanted to come by and visit more often.
Sadly, going to Flower Fruit Mountain was a rare occasion for you, it was usually only when the world was in parel or when you were all having a celebration party after defeating a villain. It was usually during those parties that you got to hang with Wukong.
You'd laugh and play, joke, and just enjoy each other's presence. Eventually, it went from that to him coming to visit you at your family home, but he always managed to disguise himself as some sort of animal, but you told him that a cat was more favorable.
This way, it wouldn't seem weird to your family if they saw you out petting a cat, he'd usually have to sneak in at night when everyone was too deep onto their own worlds to give a damn. Some nights he'd kidnap you and would just fly you over the city, take you to some cheap restaurant, or just go to Flower Fruit Mountain.
These slowly became yours and his guilty pleasure, going out on night adventures that could last till three in the morning. It was like having a best friend that your parents considered a bad influence. MK and Mei, were your best friends, but Wukong was special.
He was your friend who was over the best friends. It was like that for a while, a few years, actually... but eventually, those feelings began to blossom into something else, something deeper and scary. You didn't want to create distance between you two over some romantic feelings, so you tried to hide them, be normal... but it was almost like he knew.
He'd do things that would make your heart flutter, or he would say things that would make your breath hitched. It was a losing battle, and you were feeling cornered, so you tried to make distance between you two. Making up false issues that would postpone a hangout, you would fake being slightly unwell to make him leave you to 'heal' for a few days... you didn't want to, but it was all you could do.
But Wukong has learned a thing or two in his age, he knew what you were doing, what you were feeling, how you were taking it, he knew better than anyone else. But he'll give you your space, give you time to realize that your feelings weren't a phase and that they were real.
He wanted you to embrace your feelings, he'll help in doing so. He'll send you flowers, cake, chocolate, jewelry, makeup, that new game you wanted, clothes, anime merchandise, anything and everything you wanted, and he'll be sure to write his initials extra large on the little tag so you'll know who it was from.
You were a wreck, he was still so close yet so far, making distance only made it worse, the gifts he'd send would make you want to be close to him... He must've felt the same way... So, with that thought, you made up your mind, you packed a couple of bags, all of your personal belongings boxed up and ready to go.
Your excuse to your family? "I'm going to donate some of this stuff and get new things, I'm ready for a new look, is all." You'd say. it took you a few days, but eventually, your entire room was packed. You had to be smart with it, leaving things out that you would use every day until the final night you'd pack it all.
You wrote a note to your family, telling them that you're going to go away with the love of your life and that they'll see you again in the far future, you'll never forget them and you'll even send them gifts and letters once a month.
Once that was done, you opened your window wide, and you waited... it wasn't a long wait, not at all, he was there within minutes. Perched on his cloud, his goody smile you love so much on his face. He reached up and grabbed a few blade furs, he blew and created 5 clones. They made quick work of gathering your packed belongings. They all jumped out the window with a box or two in their hands.
You watched them with wonderment as they worked like a moving crew, one even grabbed your bed, how that was gonna work out you didn't want to know, but he did make it shrink, so that's cool.
Once they were all gone, you couldn't help but look around your now empty room, you were going to miss this place, your family, everything... You never thought that you would be leaving your family like this one day. You sniffled as tears unexpectedly gathered in your eyes as you hugged your arms around yourself, trying to feel comfort. You flinched in shock when a pair of arms wrapped around you from behind.
You looked back, and you saw Wukong, a sweet little smile on his face as he looked at you. You smiled before you looked around your room one last time. He gently guided you to the window, he jumped out first and onto the cloud, before he offered you his hand. You grabbed his hand as you placed your foot on the window seal, but you didn't have to put too much effort into it as he hoisted you up with ease.
Once on, you fished around in your pocket and you pulled out the folded-up letter, you held it in your hand for a bit, almost like you were debating on it, but with a brief glance at your empty room, you nodded to yourself. You leaned forward and placed the letter on the window seal. You stared at it sadly, but you were happy. With one last look around the room, you slid the window close.
You leaned against the glass for a moment before you pulled away, you released a sigh, a hand on your shoulder made you perk up and you looked over at him. A small yet understanding smile was on his face. You smiled back, you stood up and you wrapped your arms around his neck while he wrapped his arm around your waist, and just like that, you were gone.
The wind blew past you rapidly as your home quickly disappeared in the distance behind you, the moon that sits high in the sky made you smile as you leaned against his shoulder. You were going to miss your family, but for once, you were going to be selfish.

After all the concepts and designing I think I'm going to stick with what I got for my Simon (Depresso Espresso)'s golbaby.
Just so it's planned, the golbaby's birthday is on the 25th of December (Will be my comic Simon's due date too). Or the anniversary where supposedly the main gang used to hang around BMO to watch Ice King's VHS tapes.
A follow up to this post.
TLDR; The Simons from their respective universes all had a Christmas party at Star Simon's (@chinchillamajor)'s house. Things were going fine including many festive games for the adults and kids. But when it got time for opening presents, Espresso's water broke in the middle of the livingroom.
The kids were quickly moved to a different room out of eyesight of the chaos by Star and Noodle (@mushroomnoodles) Simon. Others were gathering supplies or trying to calm down the hysterical Espresso (ie @masculinemiracles and @fawneyuniverse). It didn't take long for them to realize that when he's having the baby, he is having it NOW.
Khrys (@eternalhealingau) swooped into action, from prior experience of delivering a baby, they helped Espresso to the ground and helped remove his pants. Yup, already something was starting to crown.
10 minutes pass and out came the little offpsring. To everyone's horror, it looked like a.... cocoon? Before anyone could break the silence of what they witnessed, Espresso passed out.
Him and his offspring were taken to a spare bedroom to rest up while the rest of the guests try to process all this and tidy up the mess.

Here is Noxis in their larval stage!
Despite their confinement, they're pretty active, wriggling as their form of motor skills and capable of understanding certain noises.
They do not like the cold, and are very picky about their heat source due to their silky cocoon exterior. They prefer the warmth of the natural body heat, the perfect temperature without compromising the silk cocoon to drying and flaking.
