I STILL love Licorice and ppg gangreengang but...
Look story time, in 2020 CR released this beautiful individual, for whom i developped an instant crush on-
Tumblr media
Ananas Dragon Cookie! Which made me play and most importantly- ENJOY playing the game. Because of deppression it’s hard for me to enjoy most games these days, and when i enjoy something it’s not for long (a month or so- usually less), so i was glad to have SOMETHING. Plus i haven’t played the game in years (since 2016) so i had a good amount of content/characters to catch up on. But ngl i was more focused on getting Ananas. I eventually did in summer 2020, and got new faves, like Lobster, Whipped Cream, and a good bunch of others (i’ll draw them all in a chart one day!).
But here’s the thing that made me keep playing- when they released Ananas, lore was revealed, saying there were other dragon characters, and this picture was shown;
Tumblr media
I hate to be a victim of hype, but. Yeah i can’t lie these mere shadows made me so excited that at each month story update, i was hoping they would show/release one of these, esp the blue one. Because i *adore* sea/water dragons, they’re my favs... Btw yellow shadow silouhette is Ananas, and red one was released in 2019 (their name is Pitaya- i love them too, but they’re not in my top 5). And so during the remining of 2020, i kept hoping for a dragon character to show up or be released...
... Until now. I waited well over a year, and early 2021 updates were pretty hard for me to go through- not because they weren’t enjoyable (they were!... except the may and june ones ngl), but because i didn’t really care and just wanted the blue dragon character... Thankfully i had Licorice to help me through and make a new brainless fave 💖💀 also i waited so long that last month i got fed up and did my own version of the blue dragon concept lol
BUT NOW! AFTER MORE THAN A YEAR OF WAITING!!!!!!!!
Tumblr media
They’re more beautiful that i could ever have hoped them to be... Finally, not only my wait is over, but it was worth it as well. We don’t know much about their character yet (nor their pronouns/gender- though the other dragons are nb so i think Lotus will be as well. Though im gay so. Kinda hoping male or masculine ngl), but so far... They’re kinda evil LOL, so immediate fav (as if there was any help needed). I’m tired but i want to make pictures of them.. and maybe. A Self insert ngl 🙈

I've noticed you make a lot of male characters that wear female clothing or are really effeminate without there being a trans edge. I'm not accusing you of anything, I really love it, but I'm curious why that is?
YOU KNOW I THINK ABOUT THIS A LOT ACTUALLY. you don’t know what can of worms you just opened up LMAO
i often look at my characters and go ‘huh this is kinda a trend, isn’t it?’ even when i was a wee youngin, i was just so thrilled with the idea of men being effeminate, even though it was usually played for jokes wherever i saw it. the short version is that something about effeminate men just make me really happy, and the long version...
well. it’s gonna be LONG. so please bear with me
and as a disclaimer, i don’t love gendered words like effeminate and masculine, or referring to clothes as specifically female and male, and i know ftm is an outdated term, but its just way easier to explain everything this way, so i apologize
anyways- long explanation under the cut!
looking back, i can see that a lot of that was because back in the day, male characters being super effeminate was kind of the big marker of that character being gay or trans (albeit not actual representation), and so it was 100% me exploring what sexuality and gender means to me, and i think a simple answer would be.. i’ve just clung onto it all the way into adulthood because it means something really special to me
i eventually grew older and realized that a lot of those characters i loved so much were harmful stereotypes made by cishet people so they can point and laugh, but no matter how harmful they were, characters like this still meant a lot to me because they were my first real lgbt experiences. my parents never told me anything, so these stereotypes were kind of.. all i had? so it was really hard not to latch on. like, i’ve always had male characters that dress feminine, for as long as i realized i could do that, and the idea of stopping just.. didn’t seem right, especially after i realized that i wasnt cis or straight. after that, it really clicked with me. it was self-exploration, self-expression
i didnt really get TOO many weird reactions from my friends, which i’m very thankful for, but a lot of people in my life either didnt get why i kept drawing characters like this and told me it was weird, or they very actively disliked it. it made me feel.. embarrassed i guess? ashamed? it made me only explore these things in my art, and never with myself
i’m a firm believer that your clothes don’t have gender, and that people can dress however they’d like, regardless of their gender and how they present, but as a trans man who’s been around people (including my parents) who scoff at the idea of a man in a dress... it’s just hard to give myself permission. it’s not hard to give my characters permission, though. my family still doesn’t get it, and that’s one of the reasons i don’t show them characters like.. mel, magpie, carrie, haru, estee, yoichi, or whoever else. but its safe to put them here. i can just say “heres my character” and people say “great! i love him!” without even MENTIONING that he’s wearing a dress or a crop top and it’s just such a validating experience
now, as for why the characters don’t really have a trans ‘edge’? that’s kind of tricky, because they do! along with some being nb and a few even being ftm, they’re pretty much ALL meant to be read as trans, regardless of if they’re actually trans or not
let me explain-- these characters are a piece of me, and thus, they reflect my experiences and desires. they’re meant to be seen through a trans lens without being trans. as in, despite my own desire to be physically indistinguishable from a cis man, i wouldn’t want to give up my experiences as a trans man mentally. and these characters sort of reflect that. i have a few characters who, in the contexts of their stories, are actually trans, as in being legitimately nonbinary or ftm, because those also have to do with my own experience and my pride, but for the most part? effectively ‘cis’ men with trans mentalities and experiences is just what feels the best for me to write and draw. that’s all there really is to it. it feels good to me
in my characters, i get to live out my dreams of looking cis, while maintaining trans narratives and including an important aspect of my childhood as a queer person who deeply loved characters like..... envy from fma, haku from naruto, hana from tokyo godfathers, him from ppg, jareth from labyrinth, frank-n-further from rocky horror, james from pokemon, grell from kuroshitsuji (im honest to god so fucking sorry for making you remember kuroshit), and so on so forth. no matter how harmful a lot of these characters may be as horrible gay/trans/queer stereotypes, as someone who didn’t really grow up with proper representation, they just meant a lot to me
this is all just a long-winded way of saying... it feels homey. this is what’s comfortable for me and makes me happy

Archive Project - February 27, 2014 - Power Puff Girls
CLEVER WITTY INTRO!! I love the PowerPuff Girls! I'm not ashamed of this, largely because I don't have a lot of shame in regards to the dumb things I like (btw, if you haven't watched Battleship yet, check it out!). So the last holiday I spent at my mother's house, I entertained my little cousins with a marathon of PPG on Netflix which succeeded in subduing their hyper active tendencies. There I made the not so shocking discovery that PowerPuff Girls wasn't just good, it was genuinely great! Much better than I remember it being as a little kid watching marathons of early 2000s Cartoon Network specials. Of course my mom rolled her eyes, after all what self respecting male my age would like PowerPuff Girls, at which point I should have pointed to the box of Model Trains in my basement to remind her how shameless my existence is. Even as a critic now I still watch episodes from time to time on Netflix and I still think its great stuff! Main reason being that the show is a perfect example of style and substance working together in tandem and enhancing one another. Time for a brief history lesson (complements of The Big Picture). In the late 1980s, a series of ultra dark Graphic Novels were released. These were Watchmen and The Dark Knight Returns. Both portrayed Silver Age comic book superheroes in gritty, dark stories that overnight caught the attention of the mainstream media who figured out that Comic Books weren't just a medium for kids anymore. Overnight, Comic Books became much more accepting for adults, and publishers like DC and Marvel began to endless pander to this demographic as they had more expendable income than children. What resulted was a decade of stupidly UBER DARK interpretations of famous characters like Superman, Batman and Spiderman. If you don't see the problem for this, let me spell it out. COMIC BOOKS AS SUPPOSED TO BE A FUN CEREALIZED MEDIUM FOR KIDS. BY PANDERING TO THE ADULTS, NOT ONLY WERE THEY BETRAYING THEIR FANBASE, BUT THEY WERE MAKING THE MEDIUM A MORE SUPERFICIALLY DUMB ONE. There is a place for dark gritty adaptions of superheroes and that place is NOT THE ENTIRE INDUSTRY AT ONCE. I imagine for PowerPuff Girls creator Craig McCracken, the superficially dark state of the Comic Book Industry was a sort of inspiration for making this. Take the Superhero genre and turn it on it's head. Instead of a dark, brooding anti-hero with a washed out, black visual aesthetic, PowerPuff Girls was a fun kids cartoon superficially aimed at young girls. Of course, just being an antidote to the UBER DARK Comic wasn't enough to make it a good show, (though it does help!) PowerPuff girls also through in great action and humor. The contrast between tone and content is a good example of juxtaposition. The dialog and colorful visuals strike as an extremely girly show, with the three main characters Blossum, Bubbles and Buttercup spending most of their times doing the sorts of things little girls do: goto school, play, etc. When the action starts… oh my.. The level of sheer action in an average episode of PowerPuff Girls could put and episode of Dragonball Z to shame… Also, you know that dialog I mentioned a moment ago? Its pretty dang funny! The show is surprisingly self aware of what it is and isn't afraid to poke fun at itself or it's genre, characters and internal logic. Its witty, intelligent humor like the best you'd find in any great comedic cartoon! So a great super-cutsy visual aesthetic with amazing action beats and humor! Great in my book! If i'm not convincing you, I do realize that this might be something difficult to sell to somebody who's never been interested in something like this before. Do you need reasons to see it? Ok here are three: Dexter's Lab, Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, Chowder Just see it for yourself! PS. My favorite episode is S3E7: Monkey See, Doggy Two! ————————————————————————————————————————— ————————————————————————————————————————— Next time on the AntiSocial Life:… I'll get to my Inuyasha Article Eventually!!! Thank you for reading! Live long and prosper!

I think it’s called 12 forever and it’s animated and it’s about LGBT individuals and there’s extreme transmisogyny in the villain that’s really the only that transfem are complaining about
so I looked further into this as I didn’t really think of this being an issue (butt witch being a transmisogynistic character) and I’ve seen both sides of the argument. I’ll preface it with that post was NOT about twelve forever, it was about she-ra, SU, and other shows that get a “critical” crowd that tries cancelling LGBT+ media for not being flawless once it reaches a certain point in it’s runtime.
But for the butt witch, I understand from both sides. But 1. I’m pretty sure that one of the co-directors on the show is trans (possibly both co-directors, it’s kinda hard finding credible sources but from the looks of it I could find that it’s not just the cis(tm) working on the show) so, we need to view this from a trans perspective and 2. the way the main character is written on the show indicates THEY are trans. And as a trans guy who grew up acting a lot like Reggie (FINALLY figured out who the fuck “reggie” meant in that last ask... I think?) a villain like the butt witch perfectly describes how I viewed myself as I began growing up as well as the femininity that was being forced on me. The butt witch was created because Reggie threw puberty books into a volcano, and out came the butt witch. Those puberty books were also described as being very cisnormative (let’s not forget how “inside every girl is a woman waiting to bloom” (paraphrasing) kept being played on repeat in Reggie’s head and how uncomfortable and upset that made them) and the butt witch is basically what Reggie views how growing up is for them. Ofc the butt witch’s “feminine” features would be exaggerated, that’s what dysphoria does to people. That’s how I saw myself growing up. I saw myself as this gross blob of estrogen (and no, I’m not encouraging this mindset or even saying it makes sense, I’m just expressing that’s what children do; exaggerate. that’s what their imaginations do especially after dealing with a cis-praising society) and sure, that’s silly for me to think of now. But when you’re a kid, and a heavily dysphoric trans kid (note; not ALL trans kids go through this which is why I specify the influence dysphoria has over this mindset), your “cis” features are heightened to the very worst in your head. The butt witch having large hips, breasts, and a deeper voice is showing reggie’s fears: growing up as a cis, hyperfeminine woman. The deeper voice I felt was to show two things: 1. puberty changes your voice and makes it deeper and plays more into the fear of growing up for reggie and 2. meant to imply that “man trapped in a woman’s body” feeling a lot of trans people go through. And it’s meant to demonize Reggie’s desires to have this more masculine voice and show it as “wrong”, that these two things don’t “go together”. This is how I perceived the villain from twelve forever because of how heavily transcoded reggie is.
That said, they could have handled this in a much more direct way without making it confusing. Because like I said, I get the opposing side. I’ve been told the butt witch is genderfluid and not meant to be seen as a trans woman. So that’s better-ish. In theory this should have worked, but in action we need to remember how transmisogynistic caricatures work. I think there shouldn’t have been a male voice actor for the villain because it leads to this confusion. And they could have had much better intentions, but it still can come off that way if you don’t come to the same conclusions I did with reggie being trans. And I hope in future seasons they make this more obvious. Because vagueness in a character can lead to them being perceived wrong. And trans woman have every right to feel uncomfortable with the character. Even if they do handle the character better and take some criticisms, trans women still don’t have to like the character. That’s completely justified.
With that out of the way, I’ve heard some trans women are fine with the character, and some aren’t. Both are completely fine in their reasoning, and I’m not here to force an opinion on anyone. Though keep in mind that proper criticism of characters like this is going to be the most important step. This show came out like what, a week ago or something? it’s new and it’s learning. Not all pieces of queer media are going to do things exactly right. Correcting them and explaining to them how this may be perceived as harmful or how something IS harmful is the key to them learning and changing it to make it better and more inclusive. Now you don’t OWE them your constructive criticism but ultimately that’s going to be an important factor in changing these things, because not all people are going to immediately pick up on why x thing is bad. Because let’s face it, transmisogyny and transphobia as a whole is so deeply normalized in our society that it’s gonna take a while to dismantle that.
And one more thing, I saw people discuss about how the creator of the show is the same person who wrote the “Horn, Sweet Horn” episode from the ppg reboot (which is true), and as we all know that... was a bad episode (incredibly transphobic, to be specific and why I will never support the reboot), but keep in mind that julia (creator) has expressed that she did NOT write that episode to be a trans analogy, that was someone else claiming it was just so people would think the show is more woke and get in more viewership. That episode was NEVER INTENDED to be a trans analogy and that’s a perfect example of cis people not understanding how trans representation works

Drake X Female Reader (Plushies)
Remember that drawing of Drake with the plush? That was for this.
Also this came from my Wattpad in case you wanna know. And it a bit oldish soooo... Yeah.. Hope you like it :P
Feel free to give criticism as long as it's not rood™
Warning: Fluffly adorkable dino ahead(?)
Alsooriginallythoughtof @crapitskizaru whenwritingthisatfirstcuziknowshelovethedinosotagginghercuzwhynot
-----
People always say, "Calm down," or shit like, "Be more chill," or some other shit. And honestly? I feel like I'm perfectly fine and I'm always chill... Not. I can "be chill", but cross the line and test my patience and I might kill a bitch or two. Like always, only a few people get spared. Examples my parents obviously, my friends most of the time, people who are somehow surprisingly barrable, Law, Robin, etc, aaaaaand him.
No not that shit from PPG, sorry not sorry, but Mr. Shy Dino Boi.
Diez Drake.
Why is he shy? Two- three, four??? words. Women. And their bodies. Why he dino? Cuz I'm preeeetty sure he has an infatuation with them. Not like I'm jealous, or... anything...
So yeah, basically, I like mister I fall to the ground and have these random friggin hearts around me for some reason because I saw a girl's almost naked body. Trust me, it has happened.
Even to me.
But they were all accidents, he claims. In his first year, I think Zoro may have possibly possessed him in an unknown way cause somehow he ended up lost on the way tO THE MOTHERFUCKING MALE LOCKER ROOM. ITS NOT EVEN CONFUSING!!!!!!!! Yeaaaaah, he's still claimed to be a pervert for that. Just a few people. Not many, but just a small handful. Even though I'm pretty sure he only saw Nami. . . Lucky bitch... probably. Toootally not jealous. Totally.
As for me, since I get put in the friend zone, apparently he came to my house unannounced once, eventhoughapperentlyhesentamessage, and I juST HAPPENED TO BE CHANGING. Think someone said he had a nosebleed. Might have been my fault for not checking my phone. But it's not my fault he texted me the one time I don't have my phone on me.
Anyways, while I have been to his house/room before, and yes it's filled with Jurassic Park/World posters, today just takes the cake.
Because never before, have I seen that dino plush before. Yes, I know what I said. A DINO PLUSH.
And I just spirited away and died on the inside from the cuteness. Thank god he left for the restroom when I saw it on his bed. Cause I swear I'm pretty sure I squealed a bit. Luckily it was quiet, but iF HE WERE IN THE ROOM. HE WOULD QUESTION THE FUCK CAME FROM ME AND JUST STARE WITH THE CUTEST FUCKING FACE THAT ALWAYS QUESTIONS ME WHEN I DO WEIRD SHIT. And I'm pretty sure that's 95% of the time, most of them internal. The other 5% is filled if me questioning him, which, isn't alot... Oh god, hope he doesn't hate me when I do weird shit.
After dying from fangirling, which is a lot, I then slowly got curious as to who got it for him. Maybe even jealous. Or not. You readers will never know.
I mean- what.
Finally, after what felt like forever, he came back. "What took you so long?" I ask only to then see cookies in his hands.
"... Nevermind, you're excused. Now gimme the cookies ples."
He just gave me a small chuckle that melted my heart and handed me some yummy cookies, moving to sit on the edge of his bed.
I was at his desk, backwards on the chair while I nibbled on the (favorite flavor) cookie in silence. Sadly, I didn't notice his blush to the way I ate.
It was quiet for awhile until he cleared his throat to speak, and scratched the back of his neck, which I actually saw this time. Adorable.
"I-I hope you like them. I actually, made them myself." He muttered loud enough for me to hear. He had a small  but noticeable blush while averting his gaze and instead to the floor. I swear, it took everything NOT to just whip out my phone, take a picture, and set it as my wallpaper. So instead, I just died on the inside from his constant cuteness.
I hummed a little happy tune to signal I enjoyed them, but really, I just wanted to rant how amazing he and the cookies were.
Honestly, it didn't surprise me much since I already knew he lived alone. His mom was dead, and he had moved away from his abusive father, who I may or may not want to strangle if I ever met him. Luckily for his so called father, I haven't met him. Yet. Not sure if I wanna meet the asshole who made my crush suffer as a child.
After I finished my cookie, don't know how many I already ate, I spoke up.
"You know, I'm not really surprised, but what does surprise me is that it taste fucking amazing! ... Sorry, jsut saying." The adorable shy bastard chuckled again, even though he wasn't exactly fond of my cursing. But seriously, how many times is he gonna chuckle at my misfortunate life.
I grabbed another cookie while he grabbed the light green dinosaur plush and made his way over to me. Once next the the seat I was at, he started to lightly attack me with the plush, holding out the little arms to attack me. I'm pretty sure I was gonna die of a heart attack today.
"Noooo," I playfully yelped. "Not da cookies~" And we both lightly giggled. But his was more of a chuckle.
I went to lean back while shielding myself, but life decided to be a bitch and I went in to fall on the floor.
I'm not sure why, but I flapped my arms around like a lunatic for an unknown reason. My body probably thought it would help. But when I thought I was sure my head was gonna hurt like hell from the fall, my left arm gripped onto the arm of the chair.
Thankfully the impact never came. Somehow. . .
I open one of my previously shut eyes to see Drake looking a bit scared, a small roll of sweat currently rolling down his face. His hand had grabbed mine as his other hand went to grab my left pulling me up. Apparently he dropped the dinosaur plush on me, probably not wanting to drop the the lil cutie on the floor... Drake's still cuter. I took his hand and he pulled me upwards, bringing our faces closer.
We were both blushing messes by the time we pulled away and I had clinged to the dinosaur plush.
My eyes darted around the room, becAUSE I SWEAR I HEARD A GROWL SOMEWHERE.
"You should really be more careful (Y/n)." The worried yet flustered male spoke up as my eyes landed on him. When I sorta stared while he spoke, I could've sworn his blush grew a bit. God that's adorable.
"Don't worry I'm fine..." I mumbled clinging a bit more onto the plush T-Rex.
I turned around and set my feet on the floor to avoid that again when Drake suddenly picked me up. I turned my head to him as he set me on the bed and pried the plush from me, setting it near the pillows. When he did that, he laid his head on my chest and hugged me. I think my face was as hot as the sun by now.
"(Y-Y/n)?" God, his stutter, will be the death of me. I know he already stuttered earlier, but my God he's just too cute.
I hummed again in response because I'm pretty sure my throat was dry from the cuteness.
"I-I know this might be awkward for us, but I-I just want to let you know that I-I think I l-like you... I-it's fine if you don't like me back, but I just, wanted to let you know." He mumbled into my chest, his grip tightening around my waist.
What's hotter than the sun? Because that would describe my face perfectly right now. I'm pretty sure he felt my heart beat sooooo fuck it. I hugged him back and looked to see his face. He was just an adorable little tomato right now.
"(Y-Y-n)-"
"Shhhhh. Just, be quiet right now."
He lifted himself up closer to eye level, us still a red mess, but smiling.
"Just for the record, I like you too." My smile widened. "Also, you're adorable." His eyes widened as I brought myself closer and dozed off into my dreams.

My top 10 Powerpuff Girls episodes
(PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS WAS WRITTEN BACK IN NOVEMBER SO SOME OF THIS IS A LITTLE OUTDATED SO WE’RE NEARLY INTO FEBRUARY...ABOUT TIME I FINISH THIS DAMN REVIEW!) For some reason, @princess-peachie‘s love for PPG made me want to do this too haha!  Can you believe that The Powerpuff Girls -one of the greatest Cartoon Network shows- has turned twenty? I know it's a little late but I get such great fond memories watching this as a little kid. The Powerpuff Girls was a spunky, energetic, entertaining, action packed, heartwarming and funny show. I indulged myself into watching this whenever I could and I always looked forward to it. It didn't matter if I saw the same episodes repeated again and again, The Powerpuff Girls would never shy away on putting a smile on my face. I LOVED this cartoon, it’s pretty special to me because it came out on the 18th November 1998 (my 10th birthday),  at the time, we didn’t have access to Cartoon Network so I wasn’t aware of this show until early next year. My first glimpse of the Powerpuff Girls was a mention and a brief clip shown of the girls flying and staring at the camera during a line up of Cartoons showing at the time. I actually got curious straight away and had no idea whenever I’d get the time to finally watch it.
Finally one evening after 2 Stupid Dogs finished, The Powerpuff Girls was announced next and this finally gave me a chance to watch it in peace. I was alone in the living room and I quietly sat there like ...well a kid, waiting, I was excited, I would finally get to watch this show after trying to.
Unlike most Cartoon Network shows in which it took me a while to get into such as Ed, Edd n Eddy, I already found myself smiling to myself and even quietly laughing. If I can remember correctly, the first episodes I got to watch fully for the first time were “Fuzzy Logic” and “Tough Love”. I don’t know why but somehow I knew I was really going to enjoy this show more than I’d expect. The Powerpuff Girls isn’t JUST your average typical cutesy show starring three female leads. It has more than that, it had action, it had a great stories, it had great adventure, it had great voice acting, speed, pizzazz and most of all…IT was actually very funny! Craig McCracken had come a long way since making these characters onto a small card he drew, to his own animated shorts to then one of the most iconic and important shows Cartoon Network had ever put onto their channel.
I loved it more for what it produced, I really liked how it pulls your audience in thinking it’s a cutesy girly show with all rainbows and giggles, but really, it’s a cartoon that captivates the audience with it’s humor, voice acting, soundtrack, atmosphere and even the sneaky pop cultural references and of course: adult humor. I would constantly tape the show whenever I could and when it came to those memorable ones, I KNEW I’d enjoy them again after more than one watch. There was something about this show that really appealed to me and sometimes I couldn’t quite lay a finger on it. When I first watched this show, I was glad I had instantly become a fan because this was one of those shows that I got into and enjoyed before anyone else did in the household. I’m glad it wasn’t just a girly girl’s show. I was happy that the main heroes were unique in appearence and seemed all sweet innocent looking kids which do nothing other than fighting crime, play around and act like little kids. I think what grabbed male audience’s attention more were the villains and I can see why. They were all funny, engaging and their use of dialogue and voice acting were terrific. All well done to a tee!
When you’ve got voice talents such as Tom Kane, Jennifer Hale, Cathy Cavadini, EG Daily, Tara Strong, Roger Jackson, Jim Cummings, Tom Kenny, not forgetting the late Chuck McCann and even occasional to major and minor voice appearances from Kevin Michael Richardson, Rob Paulsen, Kath Soucie, Jeff Bennet and  even Mark Hamill, WHERE can you go wrong? With a good cartoon, comes a good cast of voice artists.
Craig McCracken put his heart into this show and I am glad to have grown  up with this masterpiece. The Powerpuff Girls is no doubt one of my favorite animated shows of all time and I will continue to watch them again and again and never get tired at watching the many episodes that are so dear to my heart. Craig really knew how to create a masterpiece and one that would go onto become a cultural phenomenon. He really knew how to create great characters young, old, male and female, and yet have the main lead cast all female that would appeal to both girls and boys is quite a milestone in cartoon history.
In honor of this series, I will be counting down my top ten greatest Powerpuff Girls episodes. I will however not be including the movie, the Christmas special or the Dance Pantsed Special, also I am only focusing on the original 90s show and not the 2016 reboot. WARNING: Spoilers ahead.
With that being said here are what I consider the greatest episodes.
Tumblr media
10 - The Bare Facts This was one of the first episodes I ever got to record onto vhs, I remember so well on Christmas eve and I couldn't wait. I would constantly watch it played back again and again and you can see why.
Most episodes focus on the girls fighting crime and succeeding, but here, all the action is unseen...at first.
Sometimes when sibling characters argue in animation, it can be degrading, unpleasant and makes you want to lose interest in the characters all together, but here, it's done right, to a point where the arguing isn't degrading or stale and actually pretty funny. Also I love how clueless the Mayor is about everything, especially the scene about "the note", this scene always had me laughing as a kid.
Throughout this episode, the setting is all in the Mayor's point of view, complete with various styles of the girls versions of the story on how it all happened, done with an art style shift for each girl. This idea is hilarious and I love how they constantly jump in with different story telling patterns as follows: Blossom tells it mostly focusing on her (all about her, nobody else), complete with a light red tinted scene.
Bubbles tells it in a rather light hearted but adorably accurate way, complete with crayon drawing scenes.
And Buttercup tells it in a rather shadowy olive-green scene, mostly focusing on the action and not the details like Blossom did.
The Mayor however is oblivious to what has happened and is only wondering why the girls were laughing earlier.
I will NOT spoil the ending for this episode for those who haven't seen it, although I really could have done without the narrator's little puns to go with the moment. Again, the episode title just may give you some ideas.
Overall, this episode was great and was even nominated for an emmy with it's brother episode "Bubblevicious".
KEY MOMENT FOR ME: The "pretty clouds" scene. Seriously cracks me up!
Tumblr media
9. Just Another Manic Mojo
I can't think of any episode focusing on Mojo Jojo to be as brilliant as this one, sure "Child Fearing" was hilarious, "Monkey See, Doggy Do" is a classic and "Mr Mojo's Rising" is one that shouldn't be ignored. But if I had to pick any of the Mojo Jojo themed episodes, it would be this one. Just imagine, a day in the life of a villain: Waking up miserable, going through so much hell each day and reading the news to such goody-goody acts.
Watching this episode back to back constantly, I never got tired of it and I knew it almost word for word at some point.
The first half of this episode focuses on Mojo getting up, regular routines such as showering, doing his teeth, ceasing the day and readying up for breakfast...until he discovers drama in the kitchen...ONE EGG LEFT! I just love the little ramble he does here, over a single egg, what follows is an ingenious rollercoaster of comedy gold. Whenever Mojo's onscreen, you can't help but laugh, with his hilariously bad Japanese accent and repetitive Speed Racer-esque sentences, you can see why he was a fan favorite.
What follows the events is the girls accidentally having their ball crash through their window and what do they do? They ask for it back (well, better than busting in through the roof and looking for it, eh?).
I would probably give it away if I were to describe what follows afterward, but if you really want a laugh, then this episode is the one for you. Of all the episodes where the girls drive Mojo insane, this has got to be the funniest.
KEY MOMENT FOR ME: Just Mojo Jojo, he's absolutely hilarious in this episode, the girls being a runner-up too for not keeping still. Also one word: "curses".

8. Supper Villain This episode is hilarious on many levels, most of the story  is done for laughs and the setup is well...average...averagely brilliant. It's great to hear Kath Soucie on the Powerpuff Girls again (true fans should know that Soucie started off voicing Bubbles in the two pilots via What a Cartoon before Tara stepped in for the role).
The repetitive dialogue is great, played out for laughs and builds up for even more laughs, mixed with great voice acting.
The story? Harold Smith spends his life working at a mustard factory, bored with his life, he longs for something more, with a dark secret. But when his beloved wife Marianne invites the neighbors over for dinner, Harold is vulnerable and finally breaks free and shows his true colors.
His outfit reveal (obviously home made) is enough to make anybody laugh off of your seat. With his newly found identity, Harold reveals his first villainy. From here, we get some hilariously unforgettable gags, and one of the best scenes that eventually became an Internet meme:  "Eat your pea, Professor!". No matter how many times I watch it, the dinner scene is just classic. Being a comedic show with guests at dinner, I'm pretty sure you can figure out what happens next.
Key moment for me: "Eat your pea Professor!" No doubt about it.

8. Jewel of the Aisle I'd like to point out here that this episode aired right as Kelloggs released a Powerpuff Girls themed cereal. Sadly it was limited and has since discontinued, so good luck on throwing your pennies onto ebay to grab a box. Now, this episode never really gets talked about enough, maybe because the main villain here is a nameless crook who you never really see again. The story's premise is simple, the girls fail to track down a thief who had just stolen a priceless diamond from the jewelry store. Unable to locate him, they retire for the night, swearing they will meet again. The crook however, hiding in a cereal factory accidentally drops his prize into one of the boxes, which then ends up in the local supermarket.
When the crook fails to find his precious gem, he's down to one box -which ends up in the hands of the Professor. The crook follows him home stealthily only to his horror to find out that Professor Utonium is the father of the Powerpuff Girls. Upon his spying, he notices a commercial (with terrifically shifted fluent animation that almost feels Disney or Warner Bros. esque) and comes up with a cunning plan...dressing up as  "Lucky Captain Rabbit King", the cereal's mascot, I'll leave it up to you on what cereal brands they were parodying here.
While these cereals weren't so big here in Europe, heck, I only ever remember eating Lucky Charms in my own youth a lot until they went up in price later on.  I still got the reference easily thanks to the internet. This still didn't stop me from getting laugh, gag after gag.
Think of this episode as a Yogi Bear cartoon, but instead of stealing a "pic-a-nic" basket or a pie cooling off on the window sill (or a plate of hog jowls if you're thinking Ren and Stimpy), you've got a box of cereal with a hidden unknown prize not included in most boxes. The comedy in this episode is hilarious, for example, how much cereal did the girls go through and not notice a diamond? Also, the classic usage of oblivion and determination is brilliant, it's like watching classic golden age cartoons of the 40s and 50s again. The crook taking on a role parodying the Trix Rabbit is just so funny to watch, no matter what he does, he is being outsmarted by three adorable kindergartners. I love how the girls just play along with the gag and constantly kick him out,. My favorite part would have to be when the crook disguises himself as a monster outside off the front window complete with a Townsville scenery. YOU know you're going to laugh out loud when an idiot pulls this gag out of his hat and fails to succeed.
On a spoiler's note, I felt a little sorry for the crook when he broke down, forgetting about the jewel and focusing on the cereal, I don't know, maybe it's when Bubbles (who is honestly the sweetest little living being on two legs in cartoons) actually gives in and offers t it to him. While most stories like these do tend to have a happy ending for the determined victim, we don't get that here, which is why this episode works. Again, while I've probably spoiled most of the plot, it's too simple anyway. With that being said, "Ridiculous Lucky Captain Rabbit King, Lucky Captain Rabbit King Nuggets are for the youth!". Okay, I'm actually craving junky cereal now, especially imported from USA!  Key moment for me: The comedy in this episode.

7. Telephonies This is another classic episode, the comedy and timing is perfect, the plot is great and gives us a look into the lives of the villains when they are chilling out and not plotting evil schemes. When something is funny, it has to have speed at exactly the right time, otherwise the joke falls flat and loses it's cool, that's if you can pinpoint that in your head and understand where I'm going with this.
When the Gang Green Gang start making crank calls throughout Townsville, they are lacking in great ways to pull them off. So, after calling the Mayor with Grubber impersonating Ms Bellum, making him leave to "cut the ribbon for the new mall, declaring it open", giving them the free run of the Powerpuff Hotline. What we get is a  rather "interesting" insight of the villains at home doing their own thing as the girls burst in and constantly beat the living hell out of them, only to learn that they were NOT even committing any crimes. Here, we learn that Mojo Jojo is more sophisticated than you think (yet we see him in Manic Mojo actually buying eggs at the supermarket), he listens to classical music and reads the paper and even takes naps in an armchair. Also, what can be more funnier than the "evilest of all evil" ("Him") working out in complete aerobic equipment? That is just friggin hilarious, I also love how polite he is when the girls break in, but the one that gave me the most laughs out of the villains was Fuzzy Lumpkins. Nobody likes having their privacy invaded, especially when you're taking a relaxing bath, the delivery here from the girls was priceless, especially when Bubbles ended it. I love how the violence and beating up here is played more for laughs and not action itself.
Another thing that still cracks me up in this episode is that these villains are all pretty close friends and even keep in touch by landline, that's right, even down in the depths of hell, HIM has his own phone to make calls. When's the last time you've seen cartoon villains in conversation over a phone? Brilliant!
The ending too is pretty funny and I like how the girls don't believe the Mayor after three cock-ups in one day.
Key moment for me: As I said, Bubbles' delivery to Fuzzy was "tell it like is is funny",  BUT the true comedic gem in this episode personally is Professor Utonium. The running gag with him still at the receiver on hold is fantastic. I will forgive the fact that near the end, you see him outside the girls door but I guess that adds to the comedy.

6. The Powerpuff Girls Best Rainy Day Adventure Ever. That's right, that is the actual name of the episode and by god it's a mouthful. Now THIS episode just gets better and better every single time with each watch, whose genius idea was it to create an episode where the girls play pretend? In this case, literally playing The Powerpuff Girls. This includes them playing various roles for other citizens in Townsville and as all kids do when playing together, arguing on who gets to be who?
Honestly, this episode's premise is spectacular. I love how the girls hardly even use superpowers at all, not to mention the unforgettable one liner from Buttercup while playing as a monster. Also, it was nice to actually see the girls here get more comedy than they usually do. For most of the part in the series in general, the comedy is thrown around depending on the characters, story and situation, but here, the girls really do steal the show.
I'm pretty sure a lot of us as kids can relate, with our friends or siblings role-playing as our favourite characters from cartoons, but as each other, that's unique.
PPG Best Rainy Day Adventure Ever is definitely one of the funniest episodes of season 2, so next time you're having a bad day and it's raining, not up for walking the dog, cos it's rai-, okay, enough spoilers. Go watch this one next time you want to see a lead female cast of kindergartners at their funniest.
Key moment for me: The Mayor. You'll have to watch it so not to spoil it.

  5. I See A Funny Cartoon In Your Future Seasonal rot is painful, especially cartoons that were so highly well received by critics and fans alike. After the Powerpuff Girls movie, the show followed the upgraded animated style which kind of watered down the true charm of the first four seasons, as well as lacking in great ideas for stories, most of seasons five and six were...mediocre with sour pickles on top.  Luckily, this one made me laugh. A hell of a lot!
The entire story is told like episodes of Jay Ward's Rocky and Bullwinkle cartoons, complete with cheesy but hilarious and witty puns, fourth wall breaking and running gags. We also have the main one off villain here voiced by the late June Foray (voice of Rocky and Natasha Fatale). I like how she and her goosey sidekick are drawn to mimic the style of Jay Ward's characters and the little commercial near the end of the episode spoofing the Nicotine Patch. It's such a shame this episode wasn't traditionally animated, for I would have really liked to have seen some lush fluid animation to boot up this episode more. Interestingly, I never saw the Rocky and Bullwinkle cartoons as a kid, since they weren't very big in England, but  I got into the franchise when I watched the movie on VHS non-stop and loved it (it's a guilty pleasure haha), so you can see why this episode gave me loads of laughs.
Also note that sadly, June Foray passed away in July 2017, leaving a legacy of cartoon voices behind and fond memories. Since her passing, Mrs Strong herself went on to provide the voice of Rocky for the new Rocky and Bullwinkle series, keeping the spirit alive as always. Good one Tara! Great work. And I mean it!  KEY MOMENT FOR ME:  The voodoo dolls. Seriously, I quote this a lot haha! Also, just the whole episode being a tribute to Rocky and Bullwinkle.

4. Meet The Beat-Alls Okay, this is definitely getting close to what a WatchMojo list would look like, no? WELL I'm gonna jab this list and have it up before you can say "Ringo Starr's a Powerpuff Girl!", but how can I NOT make a top 10 Powerpuff eps. list and NOT include this episode, and I quote @UmbraMagna, "This episode is absolutely fantastic!", never have truer words been spoken? Telephonies made way with great laughs, but that was more focused on the Gang Green Gang, here this episode focuses on Him, Mojo, Princess Morbucks and Fuzzy in what is probably the funniest Beatles parody I've ever seen.
Craig McCracken himself has always been a huge fan of the Beatles, so when season 3 was ending soon it ended with the sister episode to Moral Decay and you know what? It saved the season finale. Every second, there's a reference to...well, the Beatles. Sure, "Homer's Barbershop Quartet" of The Simpsons was fun and had lots of references to the band and other acts, but an entire episode where it's nothing but Beatles second after second, how can you go wrong?
From the Abbey Road walk, to the musical style, to the Yoko Ono reference, to just everything about it, it's one episode that will have you laughing after a Hard Day's Night. EG Daily (voice of Buttercup) has stated during a Comic-Kaze guest panel that this was one of her favorite episodes.
Show creator Craig McCracken himself even listed this episode as one of his top ten favourite episodes of all time. There is one little nitpick, but I guess it doesn't matter, since it still makes way for great comedy and I like how a SINGLE rock actually defeats the girls (back when cartoons weren't very pc, just the way I like'em). Whether you like the Beatles or not, Meet the Beat-Alls is a great episode with the villains at their best. Key moment for me: The whole episode, brilliant!

3. See Me, Feel Me, Gnomey. NOTE: WATCH THIS EPISODE WITH CAUTION! CONTAINS FLASHING IMAGES!  I LOVE THIS EPISODE! Remember what I said about seasons five and six suffering from seasonal rot and mediocre episodes? Well, here's one that I probably consider one of the best of them during the Chris Savino era. The entire episode is much longer since the intro is cut short to make way for what comes next. An unbelievable half hour of a pure masterpiece.
For many, being a  great voice actor means they have to know how to sing and here, we have a lot of it. It really gave the voice actors' chance to show off their singing voices a great workout and boy, did they nail it right out the park? While it's not the most comedic, it's still epic, fun and unforgettable. This episode was like an evil apocalypse, not even fighting on who gets to defeat the girls or who gets to cause destruction or rob banks. It's a real shame they never released this as a true soundtrack, it's so beautiful.
It's got an Andrew Lloyd Webber and Pink Flloyd's "The Wall" feel to it. I really wish this was the episode's true finale, since it's been debated and rumored to, unfortunately the true finale (not counting the specials) was that of What's the Big Idea, a complete let down, since both McCracken and Savino agreed that the show had run it's course, even though Cartoon Network did ask for a seventh season. If only...sadly, we can't have everything.
The Gnome -the main villain of this episode- was quite interesting, exchanging peace to Townsville for the girls' superpowers, yet making everyone bow down to him. Sadly, this episode was banned from airing in the USA, some say it was because of the message of communism, but the true reason for the ban was for the red and white blinking lights that flashed during the Gnome's spell. It's too bad this was never edited for safety so the US audience could experience it at the time but luckily, it was included in the complete tenth AND twentieth anniversary box set, just proceed with caution, I'm saying this for your own safety. I love the Gnome's setting, in a large rose where he lives in peace, I forgot to mention that he was voiced by the legendary Jess Harnell and boy, was he a perfect choice? Have you ever heard Jess sing OUTSIDE of cartoons? Why don't voice artists get more love? Seriously.
Speaking of which, Tara Strong and EG Daily (who only just recently released a song "Impeachable" (parodying Christina Aguilera's "Beautiful") together for charity) really got to show off their vocal talents here more.  Also not to leave her out since I love all three of these amazing talents, Cathy too has a remarkable singing voice! God bless these ladies!  In conclusion, See Me, Feel Me Gnomey is a fantastic episode, mixed with action, drama, music and sheer brilliance from start to finish. Key moment for me: The whole episode. I can't pick one moment. I really loved the harmonizing from Strong and Daily during Cavadini's singing solo in "You Wanna Make Us Feel Real Good". Seriously, once these three sing, it just seems unreal, yet magical.

2. The Rowdyruff Boys Okay!  I'm pretty sure a lot of fans saw this one coming, I mean it's one of IMDB's highest rated episodes, as well as another one of Craig McCracken's favorites. This episode not only marked the debut of the titled characters of the same name, but was the first of many half hour episodes and of all of them, this one was at it's best.   While not the MOST comedic and the boys at the time didn't have as much personality as they did in their later appearances, this episode still left a huge impact on the fans, in a good way. The action in this episode is some of the best I have seen during the McCracken era (something the later episodes lacked), probably along with Stuck Up, Up and Away and Bubblevicious. Tired from constantly being defeated day after day and thrown into jail, Mojo Jojo comes up with the perfect plan to get rid of the girls by creating a trio of kids of his own. Instead of the sweet ingredients for the perfect little girls, Mojo gathers up several ingredients to create the not so perfect little boys. I love how the idea was a reference to the little rhyme "What Are Little Boys/Girls Made of?".
There's some pretty funny but questionable moments, such as...why would the prison serve escargot? I love how the caterer actually smiles in response. Also, why is the Talking Dog suddenly a prison guard? Oh what the hey? It still makes for hilarious gags such as having his tail snatched to finish the ingredients. What I don't get though is Mojo's breath as he flushed the ingredients down the toilet...then again, maybe it was because of when the girls were born causing the chemical reaction to still have an affect which in return passes on to others, in this case, the Rowdyruff Boys. Interestingly, the boys named themselves, while the Professor named his girls. What made this episode great was the voice acting, Roger L Jackson as Mojo yet again was perfect, as well as providing the voice of Butch, Buttercup's counterpart. Cathy, Elizabeth and Tara's energy in this episode were spot on and we even get to hear the legendary Rob Paulsen as Brick and Boomer.
When the two teams meet face to face, they start a huge brawl, the action as I said is amazing, some of the best in any episode, it's like the teams have lept right off the screen.
There is a little problem I have with this episode and...well...it's the whole counterpart vs counterpart thing. I mean...is it really that hard to tell the difference between a little boy and girl with the same hair color? Especially when they use the same chunks of animation for each member fighting against each other, take  the cartwheel scene for example.  Other than that, the animation in this episode was terrific.
This was also one of the first episodes in which the girls were defeated and nearly for good. But with the Disney-esque tears of life trope, they are revived in seconds. I can forgive this trope here but NOT in Pokemon: The First Movie.  Shamed and crestfallen by their defeat, the girls decide to leave Townsville, only to be given a pep talk by Ms Bellum.
And what we get after a little subtle adult joke followed by a defeat from the girls...without the violence, in Sara Bellum's words, "try being nice".  I just love how the boys are distracted by the girls as they are standing looking pretty...well, pretty. Pretty as any little girl could be, I laugh my head off every time in this scene, it's both cute and funny, especially with the flirtatious "come hither" eyelashes and sassy “Hey boys!” expressions on the girls that aren't usually seen. You'd expect this kind of thing on a more mature character, one with an hour glass shaped figure and heels. But alas, being kids, the boys can't stand the thought of ...cooties and somehow, this kills them. Literally. No, seriously, they actually die, in a rather humorous way after a long battle with the girls. What makes this scene great is that there's no dialogue, not until the boys scream at the top of their lungs.
I may have spoiled it a little but hey, visualizing it in your head isn't the same as watching it and believe me, it is a really funny scene. Think of it has a "distracted by the sexy" trope but toned down. Also, what I said earlier about the counterpart trope, I'll make this an exception since it was clearly obvious that it was going to happen.
This episode is a fan favorite, unfortunately, it did have a reputation of inspiring fanart and fan-fictions and McCracken himself actually poked fun at this scenario in The City of Clipsville. This episode was not afraid of almost killing off the main characters and three children in fact, but then again, there was so much edge in this show, there was nothing like it at the time. The mix of action, humor and drama is perfect. It's too bad the follow-ups with the boys didn't get the same impact as this one. In conclusion, The Rowdyruff Boys is incredible and really shows that girls are tougher than they look. Take Buttercup's quote "It takes more than a couple of cheap shots to make us cry!". Inspiring.
Key moment for me:  The boys' defeat...by cooties. Hilarious. After nearly an entire episode of nothing but non-stop action, violence and a huge brawl in Townsville, we get a comedic flirt scene.
NOW before I finally get to number one, here are some honorable mentions.
Him Riddle Diddle - I love the suspense and how it already started with peril, it felt like some kind of action movie. HIM sets the girls up on a riddle-fest or else the Professor will -in Him's words - pay. I could have had it on this list but...the one bit that bothered me was Buttercup piloting a helicopter...umm...when did she learn to...okay, Uh-Oh Dynamo, they are controlling a large robotic being of themselves but a helicopter? I don't know, maybe it was all done for comedy but yeah, it's still a great episode. What makes this episode great is that it builds up with suspense, from one riddle after another, still filling comedy in the cracks and gaps of course. Also when you have Him as the main villain, he's always coming up with something unique, yet nasty. I won't spoil the ending but it is hilarious, I love the girls' reactions after working their butts off to save their father ONLY to...well see for yourself.
Superfriends - @KarToonComics has already kind of gone on about this episode and I have to agree with her on what she said. I have had lonely problems growing up and found it hard to make friends and socialize.  Also, I've personally lost friends due to someone else cutting in the way and excluding me by taking over them and. I don't like to go into it, but we have all had that experience.
The girls meet Robin, their new next door neighbor and befriend her, it's really satisfying to actually see the girls being kids, having fun and playing together for once.
I shut this one off the list though,  because...well, some of the later episodes, I can't stand the sharpness in Bubbles' accent, it's noticeable especially in her Ls. It's like she's getting a bit of a Spanish brogue in there (which probably makes sense since she can speak the language), but I just find it really distracting.
Also, while I really liked Robyn, she somewhat looks similar to one of the other kindergartners in school. Watch Stuck Up, Up And Away and see for yourself. Her friendship with the girls was cute, I really like how they all bonded together like all little kids, but of course, being superheroes, the girls didn't always get enough time to meet their new friend, their next door neighbor in fact. That's pretty sad, you can tell the girls themselves could feel it inside them that they wish the hotline would once not ring and they could do their own thing but Townsville seems to have problems every single time.
Robin and the girls walk to school together the following week when a limousine pulls up carrying Princess Morbucks as a passenger. She offers the girls a lift in the car IF they let her be a Powerpuff Girl, the girls' decline the offer (by the way, I love Blossom's expression during Princess's little bribe).
I can't really go on more without totally spoiling the episode so see for yourself what happens from here. It's a great episode, also a BONUS for Robin's hilarious one liner and of course the entire sequence set to the song Signal in the Sky by The Apples in Stereo, damn, why couldn't we have more episodes like that, that'd be just brilliant. I'd have loved to have seen a cameo appearance of Bis, or Dressy Bessy.
Helter Shelter - I don't know why but I wish this episode was longer, then again with a premise as stupid yet funny as this one, it would probably lose the comedy after a while.
Bubbles loves animals, we all know that. In fact, she loves them so much, she has a habit of bringing them in the house.
The following afternoon, Bubbles brings in a baby sperm whale into the house and the results of trying to hide it from the Professor are hilarious. I love the way the girls panic and all the hiding spots aren't very well hidden for a large mammal such as a whale calf.
The dialogue and gags are some of the stupidest yet funniest in any episode, yet they somehow add up nicely. I also love the running gag of the Professor yelling out Bubbles' name, he kind of reminds me of Dave Seville in Alvin and the Chipmunks. .
You'll have to watch the whole episode to find out what happens but I can't say if it will make you laugh or not.
Equal Fights - This was a great episode, in fact I felt it could have been longer, but then it would probably drag on and go nowhere. The girls become sexist to all males after meeting and releasing Femme Fatale, a master thief, bank robber and also bit of a hypocrite.
While Grey Delisle did a fantastic performance with her role here, I felt that Femme Fatale was one of the more forgettable minor villains.
If this were a double length episode, I would have liked to have seen more of a backstory on why she's a misandrist.
Also I felt the character was eye-candy and fan-service material, from her slender figure to her skin-tight outfit. Also, I love how precocious the girls themselves are on a brief history lesson about Susan B. Anthony.
The morals were great but personally, this along with a similar episode Members Only just didn't quite make the cut for me.  I did love the references to the Justice League though.
Child Fearing - I love the Mojo Jojo themed episodes, especially where he's with the girls throughout and they make each other's lives a living hell. Unfortunately, some were a fluke and hit and miss while others like Slumbering with the Enemy and this one; Child Fearing are great.
Late for science presentation in a rather clumsy fashion, the Professor hires a babysitter to look after the girls. There's a wonderful reference to a certain N64 game here, I don't want to spoil it in case you may haven't seen it. But it's a great laugh if you know your games.  I also love the little smirk the girls give each other when they know they are alone and the Professor forgot to ring for a sitter.
Anyway, the Mayor is too busy to sit for the girls because he's playing video-games, so the girls get an unexpected visit from their arch-enemy Mojo Jojo and the results are pure hilarity, one after the other.
The girls aren't stupid, without a simple huddle or plan, they immediately decide to take advantage of all this and become incredibly obnoxious, mischievous and bratty as any little kid can be. I usually hate obnoxious characters but it's played here perfectly.
It's impossible not to laugh at Mojo here, but also feel sorry for him at the same time. It's a real shame there weren't anymore episodes that had this kind of comedy, because this one is absolutely hilarious from start to finish. Also, the TV scene is absolutely brilliant, the highlight of the episode.
Buttercrush - This was one of the many episodes that immediately got me into the show. Already silently into it that is lol. Anyway, this was an episode I felt went on just too quickly, but if it was extended, it would drag on.
The Gang Green Gang reek havoc at a playground and when the girls show up, the gang's leader Ace throws drops to his knees and does a pathetic routine of guilt. Reluctant, Blossom (being the leader of the girls) agrees, but Buttercup begins developing a crush on Ace, after a tip of his shades, a soft thank you and a wink of charm, Buttercup believes she has just met Mr Right.
Interestingly, Buttercup barely has any dialogue in this episode, heck she only has one or two lines top and tail (if giggling counts). This episode was not afraid to tackle the precocious crush issues, here we have a kindergartner falling for a teenager. It's amazing what the writers got away with in this show.
Buttercup would sneak out every night to visit the gang, I don't know HOW she managed to avoid the Professor checking in on her or anything.
This is one of the few Buttercup themed episodes that was actually good, if not the best one. Although I put it in the honorable mentions because...well...Buttercup's crush didn't last long, in a way it's a good thing otherwise her sisters would have been history, but makes you wonder how much love suddenly poured out of her own heart.
Overall, it's a wonderful episode and deserved a mention.
Cat Man Do - I was SO close to putting this one in the top 10, I saw this episode a lot on Cartoon Network when I was a kid, seriously, they repeated this one again and again yet it never bothered me.
I guess I put it here because...well...the origin of the cat is unknown and who was his master? We never see or hear from him again (minus a brief cameo).
While I haven't found of thought up any theories, that doesn't stop this episode from being a classic. I did feel like the heist scene with the Professor went on a bit too long for a ten minute short. Also, if I were to pick a moment that had me roaring with laughter (not just this episode, but the entire show) every single time, it would be the "We can keep Kitty" scene. The reactions of the girls are priceless and I love how they suddenly lighten up in seconds. Comedy like this in cartoons is rare now, especially with such speed. Also a bonus for the cat himself being voiced by Mark Hamill.
Bought and Scold - Of all the Princess Morbucks themed episodes, this has to be one of the best. Here, she buys all of Townsville and makes crime legal, making the girls' and other citizens' lives miserable. This even leads to everybody's belongings becoming property of the Morbucks household and the villains get to do what they want. Most of all, the Mayor gave the key to the city to Princess, causing her to take over Townsville.
That is until the girls think up a plan to get all they had stolen from them back in a rather hilarious twist. I also love when Morbucks finally snaps and eventually agrees to make crime illegal again, the girls just go off to do what they do best. Seriously, how can you not love the dialogue free scene with the Gangreen Gang, also Blossom's little smug expression when she shows Ace the legal and illegal papers is just brilliant.
As satisfying as it is to see a happy ending again, I can't help but feel bad for Princess here, yeah she's rotten and spoiled but maybe she was raised like that. In fact, you never see or hear of her mother in this show and her father comes off as a bit abusive as seen here with the newspaper, obviously not giving his own daughter a chance to speak. That's why I left it out here.
Super Zeroes - Kids will be kids! Whether they play make believe, go on adventures with their toys or are influenced by cartoons and comics. Which is pretty much what inspires the girls to create their own alter-egos here. Well, sort of.
The girls are sad because they don't feel like "better" superheroes. They don't have an interesting backstory, nor are they dark and tormented, nor do they even have interesting costumes.  So they decide create their own alter egos complete with new costumes.
Don't question where or how they got these outfits or maintained the little abilities, I guess that adds to the comedy. I love how when a monster does hit Townsville, the girls go their own way in their own fashion, very slowly and the results are hilarious! I love how Buttercup's alter-ego "Mange" only goes out at night, kind of a not to Batman. I love how Bubbles' alter-ego resembles My Melody and other Sanrio esque characters while Blossom's got a Wonderwoman vibe to it. I can't really give the episode away without spoiling the plot truthfully but I guess the moral is to be yourself and stick up for it. Which is exactly what the girls did at the end. Only a little spoiler. The moment that really makes this episode is the fact that the girls take so long to fight, you'll have to see it for yourself to get the laughs.
Mime for a Change- Season 1 of the Powerpuff Girls was terrific, there were so many memorable and great episodes and one that particularly comes to mind when you think "Craig McCracken" is this one. I used to watch this episode a lot back in the day and loved the concept of it. I'm not too keen on clowns but Rainbow is just the average friendly harmless kind of person who does his job. She he sounds pretty obnoxious and irritating but he doesn't have many speaking roles. His villain alter ego was pretty unique power-wise, but the question I'm pretty sure we're all asking is...was the bleach radioactive? Was there Chemical X in it? Guess we'll never know, but in a way, that's what adds to the charm. Either way, the bleach seeps out not only the color on Rainbow, but his cheerful personality too. His good kind heart and light sense of humor has gone sour and his love for bright colors has switched to black and white.
Upon realizing what he can do, Rainbow or in this case, Mr Mime can now takeover Townsville by draining all the color right out of it. Not only that, but also affecting those cheerful moods of the citizens of Townsville, also they can hardly speak due to the power of mime. It's really clever. We also discover in this episode that Bubbles loves to draw and colour, especially with crayons like most little girls her age. Upon discovering the black and white atmosphere, she goes on a rampage scraping wax of colour with every crayon she has. Seriously, it's like her box of crayons never ends or run out! Ah cartoon logic.
I have to admit, Tara Strong's performance for Bubbles here during her little panic is pure gold, just listen to those vocals! Keep in mind that she was only 25 at the time. Mega talent!
Her sisters soon take action and look for the suspect. When they finally find Mr Mime, they make chase until they are at a dead end and are ambushed by him. Why couldn't the girls just fly away? Bubbles meanwhile, thinking she had proudly saved the day all by herself wonders where her sisters went and when she discovers them depressed, colorless and mute, she sobs but brightens up immediately remembering she had a crayon but to no avail, it doesn't work. Realizing that her crayons aren't magical, Bubbles thinks up the next best thing...of all 90s cliches in cartoons, she and her sisters save the day...with ROCK MUSIC! Yeah, it's cheesy and all but also a beautiful message. A message of love. Love Makes the World go round is one of the few times the girls ever actually did a musical number and oh my god was this one memorable? I wish there was an extended version of it and an official release, but I guess we'd have to make do with the hidden track on the Heroes and Villains CD. Just listen to that chorus. This is the song that Cavadini, Strong and Daily all used to warm up their performances and vocals whenever they were together in the studio.
I put this episode in the honorable mentions because of the ending, it was a bit hypocritical, one minute the girls are singing and putting a smile on everyone's faces, the next thing, they send Rainbow to jail when it wasn't his fault. Of course, he may have been forgiven later on. But who knows? Overall, this was a memorable episode. KEY MOMENT: Seeing the girls hug, it was adorable!
Ice Sore - Blossom discovers that she has a power that her sisters don't have, causing her to show it off. I put it in the honorable mentions because it deserved it, I felt that Ms Keane making all her class go outside in the frying heat to be a bit irresponsible though.
A Made Up Story - Phyliss Diller's performence as the villain was great and the comedy in this one a bit slow but did have some hilarious moments, plus that ending! It feels like what would happen if Stephen King’s Carrie was turned into a comedy.
Tough Love - One of the first episodes I ever saw and caused me to fall in love with the show as so as I watched it. The concept is dark, creepy and yet unique. When I saw those girls get beat up, punched, kicked, beaten up (heck even by adults), I couldn't believe it. I knew this was the cartoon I waited for, all my life.
Bubblevicious - While not a favorite of mine, I still had to put it here in the honorable mentions list, because, well Strong's performance as Bubbles was absolutely brilliant. Hearing her growl that epic drawn out "haaardcoore" was the cherry on top of Bubbles' character and we see a more stronger side to her. Fed up with being treated like a baby, she does things her way, something even Buttercup probably wouldn't do. My problem though was the way she treated the Talking Dog, threatening to hurt him, a bit hypocritical for Bubbles' taste since she loves animals. This episode was Craig McCracken's all time favourite and you can see why it was nominated for an emmy.
Speed Demon - I gave this episode a mention for the creepy-factor and I mean real creepy. Sometimes I don't know if I'm watching a creepypasta or an episode of the Powerpuff Girls. The show is usually full of action, bit of drama but going as low as this is unusual, this was another dark episode. Everyone chanting "your fault" to the girls  is like the equivalent "They're all gonna laugh at you" from Carrie. Can you just imagine travelling so fast that you went fifty years into the future? The concept of this episode is both creepy, unsettling and disturbing.
Knock It Off - Again, an episode that isn't often talked about. This double length episode is one of the darkest in my honest opinion. Dick Hardly is one of the nastiest, sadistic and cruelest one time villains I have ever seen. Cloning the girls with a full vile of Chemical X and shipping them all over the world just sounds like yet another creepy pasta.
Also, have you seen how deformed these clones looked? Enough to disturb any audience. The scene where the Professor discovers the base and suddenly freaks out at all the hideous deformed clones is probably how anyone would react if this happened in real life. Also, seeing the girls die onscreen was heart wrenching, of course, if this show ended now, it would have been one sad finale.
Did I forget to mention that Dick Hardly's monster form was just terrifying! Those tentacles on his chest just really seemed off.  On the funny side, I love how it’s like the writers were trying to push it on how many times the girls say “Dick”. Also, what was that nerd doing with his PPG doll?
The Boys are Back in Town - The sequel to The Rowdyruff Boys, this half hour romp sees the girls meeting their match for the second time. The girls learn that the boys were brought back to life from HIM and had given them a cootie vaccination, so they are now strong against the girls. I left it off the top ten list because...well, again, the counterpart battle technique just got stale and I found that the boys personality resulted in some rather gross and painfully vulgar scenes. It's like they were trying to compete with Nickelodeon's 90s shows.
Also just a side note and personal opinion: I do prefer the boys' hairdos here. Also the scene where the girls discover the weakness was hilarious. A bonus for Blossom’s cheeky little one liner.
Beat Your Greens  - This was a classic episode. I remember watching it a lot as a kid. The moral is simple: eat your vegetables.
This was the time when Craig McCracken was still at high stakes on the show and this was only it's second season. A time when morals weren't  always the key of the show. Also Buttercup's brief pep talk/speech to one of the kids was great and really motivating. Also I love the little Star Wars reference.
Curses - I left this one out because this trope has been done before in other shows including Spongebob Squarepants and Arthur. But that doesn't stop the episode from being funny. The villain was hilarious, a literal talking potty-mouth who basically just talks gibberish as if he's swearing and every time the girls swore, it was bleeped out with various sound effects and the results are hilarious. I think the funniest moment was when the girls flipped out on the Mayor all over a pickle jar complete with swearwords and their mouths washed out with soap. Overall, this was a funny episode but sadly, when a trope has been done to death, is there really any high stakes for it to be in a top ten list?
And the number one greatest Powerpuff Girls episode is...
Tumblr media
1. The Powerpuff Girls Rule! I am counting this one as an episode! Argument invalid! WHERE do I begin? This was all drawn and animated on Flash and released as the 10th anniversary special and you know what? It's absolutely brilliant. Everything is thrown at you in seconds, the humor, the pacing, unpredictable moments, the voice actors returned again and are just as great and the best part? Craig McCracken came back to write this masterpiece!
Not only was this special a breath of fresh air for the fans, but it felt like a new revival for the Powerpuff Girls done right! Sadly, this was Craig's last involvement with the Powerpuff Girls...when you think about it though, it’s not the same without Craig McCracken as writer and director, so you can see why there are lots more funnies here compared to seasons five and six.
Originally, this was planned to be an hour long but instead was reduced to a full length episode, which is why everyone suffers from motormouth syndrome throughout!
I love all the little callbacks to the classic episodes, including the villains and nearly every second had me laughing with tears streaming down my cheeks! THAT'S the true essence and formula of The Powerpuff Girls. Try watching this special with a straight face if you are a die hard fan of this show, seriously! It's impossible!
Ten years before, the reviews poured in calling this cartoon "gut-bustingly funny", well, this really shows! It's like the show had won back the brilliance when Craig came back and I really wish there was more!
The plot is so ridiculous yet hilarious and I quote the PPG wikia: The key to the world is sent to Townsville, and The Mayor has the responsibility of keeping watch of it. However, he misplaces it, and all the villains of Townsville break free from prison to search for the key, each one of them wanting to obtain it and rule the world, especially Mojo Jojo. The Powerpuff Girls must find the key and return it to The Mayor, before the villains get to it.
Everything about this episode is absolutely fantastic. I will forgive the little reference to a certain 2000s meme thrown in, although it wasn't really needed, but who can complain, right? It was bound to happen since every decade, cartoons tend to have that trend that will blend in with show's plots.
The moment all the motor-mouthed dialogue starts, it's impossible not to sit back with an enormous smile on your face. This was like a true love-letter to everyone who worked on the show, filled with crazy gags and some of the funniest build up on the show, complete with crazy references and everyone filling in on tickling the funny-bone.
The moment Blossom does her impression of Mojo Jojo (COMPLETE with camera angles, close ups and a shot of the entire planet earth) is hilarious! Her sass and smug attitude here just makes it!
I love how cartoony and slapstick this special was, although a little out of character, I don't care, I find it rather hilarious! There's surprise after surprise, after surprise! I've never seen The Powerpuff Girls go beyond the mark of full-on craziness!
I will admit, the motor-mouthing did feel a little forced and rushed but the plot still made up for it with all it's glory! I can't give anymore away without spoiling the entire cartoon so go watch this special when you can!
The Powerpuff Girls Rule! is -in my opinion- the greatest episode of all time. Now ten years old, it makes us all wonder what is in store for the twentieth anniversary. With the reboot having mixed reception and the merchandise still selling, we can only dream on having another special just as fresh and funny as this one.
"Key" moment for me (okay, that pun was lame): The whole episode was filled to the brim with timeless and hilarious moments but if I were to pick one, it would have to be Mojo singing a Jimmy Hart version of Part of Your World. Honestly, the funniest thing ever done on the show, period! Kudos Craig McCracken! You can’t spell slaughter without laughter and this episode did just that almost! A new meaning for the term: gut-bustingly funny!
And with that, ends my top 10 greatest PPG episode list! What are your favorite episodes of all time? Which ones make you laugh the most? I'd love to read and/or hear your opinions! :) With that being said, after twenty years, this show still holds up and I will always enjoy it again and again whenever I have a bad day. If you really want to see every classic episode again, then go buy the complete dvd set, it’s just been re-released as a twentieth anniversary box set!  Thanks for reading and thank you to @crackmccraigen for this masterpiece!

@radfemmedyke since op blocked me
Okay, you're done and ready to actually know what I was trying to say? Good, then maybe we can have an actual conversation:
1) I never even once said I approve of forcing femininity on tomboys. No one in the notes has
Literally the opposite.
The other thing that op (and many others) seemed to find an offense specifically targeted at lesbians that we disagreed on is:
2) Tomboys dating males "eventually"
No one grows out or into sexuality, it's innate. I thought it was sth every radfem agreed on?
Making tomboys straight in movies and such isn't a lie or slight at lesbians/bi women, unlike what many ppl here seem to think.
Sexuality and taste in fashion and clothes are not inherently connected. No one is born with a preference towards bows or dresses, things and norms that are socially constructed and constantly change anyway
Tomboys who got together with guys didn't "grow out" of tomboyishness or "into" heterosexuality. They were just always straight AND tomboy. These two things aren't incompatible
Dating men isn't "becoming subservient to men". Unless we're talking specifically about movies, books etc where the plot is about a lesbian tomboy "turning straight" (which is lesbophobic) it's just dating men and not an intentional attack pn same-sex attracted women
3) I've never had any discomfort towards Butch lesbians existing or having a rep. N e v e r
I celebrate every masculine/tomboyish/gender-nonconfirming female rep, whether straight, Bi or gay.
But it also means I will fight hatred or insults towards straight female tomboyishness or masculinity rep as well as others
Tomboys, butches, stags/tomcats are incredibly important as an example for straight/gay/bi girls and women and must be protected. Yes, all of them, including (straight) tomboys
4) What is a "tomboy" anyway?
Since radblr likes to boast so much that "words have meaning" let's take a look at what tomboy means according to dictionary:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is it. This is what the word means to most ppl.
A girl who likes traditionally "masculine" things.
The fact that most tomboys are straight in media isn't a problem, the fact that many tomboys end up dating men isn't a "warfare" or lie.
The fact that tomboys sometimes end up "feminized" is a problem. But it has nothing to do with sexuality most of the time, but simple the fact that women are expected to become more feminine with adulthood no matter whether they're tomboyish, gender neutral or even already pretty feminine.
Tomboys aren't the problem. Tomboys dating men aren't the problem.
Forced feminization and lack of gay/Bi rep are.
Tomboy isn't meant to be an insult, just a cheeky word. Tomboy girl and tomboy gets feminized are different tropes
5) Lastly. You asked what if I knew any positive straight tomboy rep?
I do
From 90s American movies where tomboyish girls were allowed to be, play sports and sometimes even star in their own movies. To modern video games like Dragon Age, Mass Effect or cartoons like Steven Universe or PPG there's been some awesome tomboys and masculine women who are rare, but still exist and embrace themselves.
And you know what kind of reaction do I see when they turn out to be straight by "feminists" and I-love-all-women-ers?
Bitterness and condensation.
They're called "boring" and authors are accused of "misleading" and "baiting" and "appropriation" of gay culture just because these women wear short hair and don't wear dresses or sth. They're mocked and headcanonned as gay anyway often out of spite cuz I guess them being straight is a waste or homophobia or sth.
And when you have both right and left mock and roll eyes at masc/tomboy straight women for whatever reason, you kinda push these women into the only other alternative: femininity. And that's just wrong on every level
I know most ppl on Tumblr and such are from west, often USA. But as someone who comes from a place, a country and a culture where women have less rights and freedoms (even straight, white, "privileged" ones) including when it comes to appearance but I'm just disappointed over and over
Straight women and girls don't stop being punished for masculine behaviour and appearance just because they're straight. Femininity is a cage forced on every girl and woman and I want to celebrate every girl who sets herself free
Some lesbian/bi radfems/separatists also say that gay kids are more gnc and that it's a fact, which is a whole other can of worms since that'd imply that gender is innate and connected to sexuality which means straight women are more "feminine" despite femininity being a prison but I ain't gotta get into that now
I don't care for normies who mock such characters and people. But I expected better from feminists, esp radical feminists.
I shouldn't have snapped. But it's not the first time I see such stuff here and it's infuriating

Tumblr media
Here I am finally, with Dylan’s intro. Just like last time i’ll be sure to include any triggers below, and if you’d like to plot with my glitter boy just hmu or like this and I will come to you!
TW: manic depression, suicide atempt, drug use & abuse.
AESTHETICS:
scooby doo band aids around fingers, scraped knees and palms, messy curls in need of a good brushing, red and puffy eyes, goofy smiles and bubbly laughter, hand clasped tightly around one of an older distraught looking woman, conspiracy theories and endless questions, tilted head and puzzled expressions.
( his actual aesthetic board on pinterest is here !!! )
BACKGROUND:
dylan is probably one of my favorite male muses yet, he’s just a complete angel. he grew up in california, though he and his mom moved around a lot ( typically lived out of their RV ), never really stay in one place since she had always been a bit of the hippie type, and she followed her ‘heart’ more than common sense. dylan’s never really had a real father figure, the men in his life are constantly in and out like a revolving door, each one leaving his mother more broken than she was before they were around. after a bad break up when dylan was about six his mother attempted suicide, landing her in the hospital and being diagnosed with manic depression, something she’s always struggled with, and something dylan helps take care of for her as best as he can.
because of his mother’s diagnosis and the loss of his only father figure, dylan took it upon himself to start taking care of his mother. he started working odd jobs, doing anything he could to keep money flowing into their home, to keep his mother as safe as he could. he still went to school, still had a life as best as he could, and still remained the same positive and happy-go-lucky stoner skater he was.
he and his mother made it through high school fine, he was on top of her pills, and she was getting better, being able to look past the fogginess, past the impulses, and be the mother that he needed, the mother that he loved. and he loved her so much in fact that the day he graduated he decided that the two of them needed to get back to their roots, back to what his mother loved, and that was to travel.
just like before they never stayed in one place long, traveling here and there, seeing all the sights they could, expereince all they could out of life, until they finally ended up in the parking lot of the starlit motel. they both fell in love with the motel honestly, be it the people, the close knit vibes, the cheap rent, and of course the lovely man davie, who dylan’s mother was awfully fond of, they decided to stay for awhile, and so far four months have passed and neither of them seem to bothered with leaving just yet.
dylan can often be found around the RV lot of starlit, zig zagging around on his skateboard, joint dangling from his lips that are forever painted with a smile. he’s the human form of sunshine, and he doens’t have a mean bone in his body.
TLDR: dylan is a stoner king who’s the male version of bubbles from ppgs, he loves his momma more than anything and she’s a NPC that your muse will often see around the motel, especially around Davie’s RV *wink, wink*.
WANTED CONNECTIONS:
THE STONER BUDDY: it’s easy. careful and fun. the two just enjoy sharing quality bud. they get high, they go over each others lives like they’re studying for tests, and they share thoughts on the billions of conspiracy theories dylan’s thought up in his spacey little brain.
THE CRUSH: dylan falls in love with any pretty girl that smiles at him. it may not be real love, but he is constantly glued to your muses side, and it’s painfully obvious, and your muse probably enjoys it, maybe even leads him on a little, because he is a sucker for a pretty face.
and honestly anything can work for dylan, past hookups, fwbs, frenemies though you won’t get much hate out of dylan he cant conjure up the attitude for it, but whatever ideas you have just fling them at me and i’m down.

You know. Yeah, nah I don't care I'll step up and be the non anon for people. The homophobia aside (please grow up lol), you are supposedly anti rape / abuse etc, but you support a ship like Blossom/Brick that many artists and writers, write as if it is a romanticized rape/abuse fantasy. You've even reblogged said types of scenes with comments regarding it being cute, or hot. Is being raped cute? Is being raped hot? Non-consensual touches are okay to you? So you're a homophobic minor, that---
-ahem- -clicks tongue- Alright let’s get this over with, you ignorant baboon. First of all good for you that you didn’t want to cower away and hide like anon and send hate mail. Thanks for showing me who you are and what your blog looks like :). Second of all..how is being homophobic an immature thing? Does that make any sense?? Like what?? Let me search up, -no give you the definition of these two words for you can process what you just typed down and realize how ignorant you sounded. Homophobic: ‘having or showing a dislike of or prejudice against homosexual people‘ now for Immature:  ‘not fully developed.‘ now let me ask you again does these two fall under the line of each other? Cause what you just said sounds so ignorant that it made me laugh because that was just dumb. Lol I said the word allot xD.
Third off yes I am and I still am an anti rape/abuse supporter like I don’t support it. So you got that actually correct for once in your sentence.
Now I wanna ask you where the HECK do you get or where did you find information that the shipping between blossom and brick is abusive? You sound like an ignorant minded person who doesn’t know(?) about the ship itself nor the fandom or even went to idk? Check and see how none abusive it is and how cute people illustrate them as and your little sentence you made is just an opinion. Because I know for a fact that I haven’t stumbled upon any art or fanfiction story of them being in a abusive relationship because to be honest all of that is just FAN MADE not OFFICIAL or CANON. So you assuming that the whole entire blossom x brick fandom is based off what your in denial thoughts of them being abusive and like 50 shades of grey makes you look even more (again) ignorant. You come here trying to accuse me of supporting a supposedly abusive fictional relationship between two characters and you say that i’ve ‘You’ve even reblogged said types of scenes with comments regarding it being cute, or hot‘ but I wish to know where did you see this in my blog??
I mean did you like sit on your booty and scrolled through my entire blog just to actually make me look like an abusive supporter of rape?? Wow i never knew how you had so much dedication of doing this just to get one person who isn’t what you claim for me to be as out of tumblr. Because I know for a fact IF I was an abusive/rape supporter half of my likes, posts would’ve BEEN showed it off and I would’ve BEEN gotten warnings and allot of hate for it. Shoot if i was ever the type of person you made me up to be as I would’ve hated myself. I wouldn’t like what i was liking and supporting. So please get the heck out of here with your crappy and NO EVIDENCE oh! Did i ever stopped to question you if you had any proof of me reposting and saying these types of comments? Or did someone use a little photoshop and made me look bad just to prove your false accusations? :) Or MAYBE you didn’t see it and MAYBE you’re just making up bull crap to frame me out to be a person i’m not OR OR!! Your so delusional that you saw something that wasn’t really there.
Listen i know that you are extremely salty of the fact that i still got my blog and i still am posting not falling under anyone’s hate mail but please get a better damn excuse. You look very stupid right now.
I know that there are sicko’s and I mean what falls under the anti list i’ve made on the ppg fandom(and I don’t go near them heck i haven’t even seen one on here yet at all idk if they are even on here) BUT i’m pretty sure they won’t make art on here because they would’ve been taken out by a bunch of females or males who are appose to that type of shit. Again, if i was what you said i was than how come you don’t send hate mail and trash up those artist that made that “abusive art” that i reblogged on here? How come you don’t go after them since they did SO wrong. And how come you don’t attack the REAL people who are sick minded..no you go towards me to frame me because you dislike the fact that i am homophobic. Also how do you know about the whole ‘blossom and brick being an abusive couple’ thing? Where did you get this information from?? I’m getting the feeling that you ignorantly assumed that since you saw one negative side of the fandom itself and now your gonna accuse the MANY hundreds(or more) people who ship these two and create cute art of them. Let’s see what happens when they see you accusing them of being a supporter of such things and see how it would make them feel. Cause your stating bullshit through your own text.
And the fact that you people say that you despise bullying and hate speech but here you are accusing me of some bull crap. Like what?? Sound so hypocritical.
Oh and i am not getting off tumblr for crap so you can shove your own toxic words that you just told me back in your mouth :3.
This is a response towards both of your crappy ignorant comments.
Edit: WOW!! I just SAW your blog and lmao you are such a freaking hypocrite. Here you are sick as heck shipping TWO BROTHERS from the show as a couple. And the fact that you are shipping brick the person that you said that was abusive towards blossom is just freaking sad. You just screwed yourself over. So sad. And disgusting. I’m blocking I don’t need a person who fantasize two blood related brothers can be love. That’s just gross, I hope you repent on your sin and get some help for real cause your sick.

Cartoon asks: ALL OF THEM
THANK YOU SO MUCH OMFG
also i totally didnt fill all these out in advance and twiddle my thumbs in anticipation, hoping someone would send me this ask, nope not at all
1. A cartoon you remember that nobody else does.Back at the Barnyard.  That fucking show…oh my god
2. A cartoon you like but nobody else seems to.Well technically I remember liking Back at the Barnyard but I haven’t watched that show since I was like 8 or 9 so idk if I’d like it now akjsfkfkgjh I kinda doubt it now because my bullshit-tolerance-meter for television has significantly shortened.  Uhhh the only other cartoons I can think of that I liked that don’t seem to be liked by a lot of people are like…the DreamWorks cartoons (when they were on Nickelodeon and CN that is, I don’t have Netflix rip) and the Lego cartoons (except Ninjago because apparently that has a fandom?? what??) like I thought they were okay at the time at least.  (Also I guess the HTTYD cartoon wasnt hated, because it was fucking HTTYD, but //shrug)
3. A cartoon you don’t like but everybody else seems to. ADVENTURE TIME and like everything on Cartoon Network except Steven Universe and We Bare Bears honestly.  Like Adventure Time isn’t my cup of tea but I’m like “alright, some of those plots actually seem kind of interesting, I guess I can see where people are coming from” but like… shit like Clarence and Uncle Grandpa??  I’m all for people having different opinions but I don’t know how you can even get past the art style, let alone the writing style and some of the voice acting ;-; you are a stronger person than I’ll ever be if you can get past that lmao
4. A cartoon you wish would be forgotten.Uhhh pretty much everything on Nickelodeon from 2010-2014 (besides the dreamworks cartoons basically) and the shit reboots that CN’s been pumping out (namely TTG and the PPG reboot, but the Ben 10 reboot looks REALLY lazy, so at least it doesn’t annoy me [or I haven’t seen anything from it that annoys me] but…)
5. The worst cartoon you’ve ever seen, and why?Fanboy and Chum Chum, as far as cartoons I’ve actually watched go (because hoo boy, worse cartoons exist out there).  Everything about that cartoon is…wrong and broken.  It has one style of humor and that’s toilet/gross out humor.  The “straight man” so to speak, basically an emo teen version of Squidward, is actually…not Squidward in-show??  Like in the intro he’s very clearly set out to be a grouch who hates the main characters, but in the show he’s just…an introvert that gets wrapped into their plans and only snaps at them when they actually hurt him.  The protagonists are annoying as fuck and are psychopaths that deserve to be locked up in a mental institution.  It’s not funny.  The voice acting is annoying as hell.  And the animation is disgusting.  I didn’t know it was even possible to make 3d animation look this rendered yet still look so bad, but apparently it is.  Like they took extra effort into making the show look WORSE.  I will say that its impressive that they managed to get such tooney designs to exist in a 3d space, but that doesn’t do you shit good when the animation is gross.
6. The worst moment you’ve ever seen happen in a cartoon.Directly, as in I was watching the show?  Something in Fanboy and Chum Chum.  Indirectly, as in I watched a review where they showed the scene or I read about it?  Something in Family Guy, or the self-insert in the PPG reboot.  Yeah there’s a self-insert in the PPG reboot.  Every time I think it cant get worse…it does.
7. The worst thing you’ve ever seen happen to a cartoon that ruined it.I was really neutral on Teen Titans Go (some of the jokes made me laugh but others were really cringey, but it was at least funny some of the time and the art didn’t hurt me as much as other shows on CN, so whatever) but then I found out that they’ve actively attacked their critics in-show and have generally responded very poorly to criticism and…asdf.  Like its one thing to stay quiet, it’s another thing to embrace it and say “yeah we know its stupid, but it made us laugh!” (which they did do, kinda), but it’s another thing to spit in the face of everyone who has a problem with it (and not even address their criticisms, like they act like they did but?? no they fucking didn’t??).  Like the problem I have with the show is not that it’s stupid.  The problem is that the writers say “yeah, it’s for kids, so it should be stupid” (its not even “well it made us laugh” from what I remember), the problem is that the writers never watched the original show and completely ruined the legacy of a show that actually took itself seriously, the problem is that the writers are so fucking high on their horses that they respond to the haters IN-SHOW and LAUGH AT THEM.  My problem is not with the show itself, my problem is with the culture it embodies.  It embodies the worst of Hollywood entitlement, cheap shithole cashcow shows, cheap reboots that disappoint fans of the original, “stupid because its for kids” cartoons, and basically the worst Hollywood has to offer.
8. A cancelled/forgotten cartoon you would bring back to television.Uhh if nothing happens with Infinity Train then that, but besides that…another series of Avatar (like following a new avatar) would be fucking great but I don’t want to put the creators through the hell that is Nickelodeon lmao.  I also thought Harvey Beaks looked nice, like I never watched it but it looked okay, so I’d be okay with bringing that back too if it made the creator happier (honestly the poor creator…nickelodeon treated him really badly too)
9. An animated character you remember but nobody else seems to.Pete from Steven Universe lmao like where did he goJoking aside (SU is too relevant to count for this) uhHHH fuck I guess the characters in the Monsters vs Aliens cartoon? nobody remembers that movie but the show kinda cemented the characters in my mind (I would’ve said back at the barnyard but honestly I don’t remember the characters until you show them to me, besides like the main cow guy, whoops)
10. An animated character you hate the most, and why?Onion annoys me.  Like…he’s that kind of character that has no rhyme or reason behind what he does.  He’s the kind of character whose entire personality just relies on the kind of Adventure Time-esque humor that I just don’t get or enjoy.  The kind of humor that just creeps or grosses me out or bores me instead of making me burst out laughing.  The kind of humor that’s physical-based, but just too slow and poorly paced to be funny like slapstick.  I don’t know how to explain it, but it’s exactly how Onion seems to me and that’s why I dislike Onion.  In Doug Out, for example, Onion has no gross out or creep out jokes, and I don’t mind him as much.  Like he’s not a GOOD character, he still doesn’t bother insisting that there’s something else out there when the others disagree with him, but at least he isn’t scaring me.  OH AND MARCUS FROM DIGIMON DATA SQUAD I immediately thought Onion because he’s a cartoon character, but since this is just for animation in general…aksdhfgfkj i dont know why I hate Marcus so much, I dont want to hate Marcus so much, but I do.  His response to everything is just to punch everything and he’s so entitled and annoying and hotheaded and aAAARG HES JUST INFURIATING, I DIDNT THINK IT WAS POSSIBLE TO BE THIS MAD OVER A CHARACTER THAT ISNT FUNDAMENTALLY BROKEN BUT HERE I AM
11. A non-animated property you would like to see as a cartoonidk if this counts because it’d have to be an anime probably but FOSSIL FIGHTERS CHAMPIONS!!! LITERALLY I WOULD CRY IF THIS WAS MADE INTO A MANGA OR ANIME PLEASE @ NINTENDO MY FAMILY IS STARVING but seriously can you imagine like….you could have a mute main character (its implied that the protagonist talks a few times but they could be selectively mute or just mime and the dialogue could be rearranged appropriately) and if you choose the female protagonist you could make her gay for Pauleen??? Like I refuse to accept the male protagonist as the “canon” main character bc I want gay sorry.  BUT LIKE!!!  You wouldn’t have to write that much bc its already written!! and its really fucking ridiculous and would probably appeal to like…TTG-loving kids because its so silly asdf BUT ITS ALSO GOOD, IT HAS HEART, PLEASE THIS IS SUCH A GOOD IDEA like its not a good idea for manga/anime because it IS kinda ridiculous and childish but?? it would fit so well as a western cartoon???  Hey Nintendo can you please give me a license to produce this because I swear to god I would if I could
12. A trope or trend in animation that you dislike.Well there are a lot but they aren’t exclusive to animation…?  "Blonde popular bitch" and “damsel in distress” have been two of my personal most-hated for all my life because of who I am/was, but there are others I dislike too.  I also really hate the kinda…style that Adventure Time set up in cartoons.  Like I guess AT isn’t really responsible for ugly-looking cartoons and the type of humor that I dislike, because looking at CN before it aired there were already shows like that (Chowder, Flapjack…) but I think AT really popularized them and :/ it also reworked the same concepts in Chowder and Flapjack and people were like “WOWEE CARTOON RENAISSANCE !!!” and I just kinda….idk.  I have a lot of personal baggage against AT lmao sorry AT fans, like I don’t even hate the show and not all of its effects were bad (not in the slightest) but like TTG I have issues with some of the things it popularized.
13. A currently airing cartoon that you know is going to be forgotten about in the future.Hmm, We Bare Bears maybe, or like Mighty Magiswords.  Like CN plasters Mighty Magiswords everywhere but nobody gives a shit about that show so I feel like its only a matter of time before it disappears yknow?? but maybe im wrong.  WBB doesn’t get the attention it deserves so yeah.  Also maybe that Bunsun is a Beast cartoon over on Nickelodeon? im not sure man
14. The best episode of a cartoon you really like. The Southern Raiders (that’s only one of my favorites tho, like?? The Puppetmaster is tied for first in that season, and that’s just in that season, not including the other two seasons of ATLA)
15. The worst episode of a cartoon you really like.Rocknaldo or any episode centering around Onion, e u c k
16. A cartoon you feel deserves more recognition than it gets.Uhhhhh fuck everything I watch is mainstream cries WBB isn’t that popular and like its a cute, perfectly fine show, but its not like…revolutionary
17. A cartoon you feel deserves less recognition than what it gets.ADVENTURE TIME, also s/o to Regular Show, Clarence, Uncle Grandpa…like those last two aren’t even universally liked but sorry I still think they get too much praise asdf
18. The worst idea you can think of for an animated series. It already exists and its called One Ounce Mouse, but honestly adult cartoons in general are…a bad idea.  Like if you’re just gonna use your adult rating to offend people instead of using it to be insightful or using it to be ACTUALLY FUNNY, what the fuck are you doing with your life?  You should be fired tbqh
19. At what point did you realize a cartoon, any cartoon was starting to get bad?I can’t remember when I realized SpongeBob was starting to get bad, but it was sometime around 2010 or so.  I remember getting really sick of the show when it went to HD/fullscreen because for some reason, all the new character designs got…significantly worse??  Like the season premiere of that season (cant remember which season it was, don’t care to look it up) had three new characters and they all looked…so fucking ugly?  It was really hard to look at?  Like seriously they looked like something out of Sanjay and Craig, not SpongeBob.  Even the main character designs just…looked too smooth and rounded and not good to me.  It reminds me of like Family Guy and i dont like that overly smooth, “we have too much money so we blew it on extra in-between frames instead of good-looking art” style.  I think the final breaking point for me was Squid Baby and the episode where Gary got overly attached to a ball, and realizing that after an episode that actually was kinda legitimately nice (it was the one about Plankton getting a pet) they were never going to bring up Plankton’s pet again and ugh.  Like lack of continuity is nothing new but I really wish he had kept the pet, it was the best thing to happen to the show in literal years.  Like seriously that episode was the best new episode in years, it was legitimately cute even though I had a beef with some of the character designs (as I always did in that season)
20. An experience with a cartoon you thought you were going to like but turned you away from it.I tried watching Bee and Puppycat the other day and it really….put me off….because it had more of that Adventure Time style humor and I legitimately thought it interfered with how the plot should’ve progressed.  Like Bee was way too okay with everything and we didn’t get any explanation for anything because instead she just made weird noises and bit a monster’s tongue off.  I’m still gonna watch the other episodes for the heck of it, so maybe I’ll change my mind, but eh
21. Something you would like to see more than anything in a cartoon. It already exists and it’s called Avatar: The Last Airbender + The Legend of Korra
22. What do you feel makes a cartoon forgettable? That’s….actually a really good question.  Because like, I would’ve forgotten about Adventure Time years ago if it hadn’t been drilled into my head that everyone else thought it was the best thing ever and I didn’t.  I might be off my SU high by now if I didn’t keep reblogging/reading SU-related stuff on tumblr lol.  I guess blandness is what makes your cartoon forgettable.  If its not so bad that it’s funny/everyone needs to insult it, but its not good enough that it gets good reviews, then there’s just…no place for your cartoon, especially if its not profitable so it gets cancelled quickly.

Powerpuff Girls, 4 Recs - Bubbles/Boomer, Blossom/Brick, Buttercup/Butch
As promised, more animated shipping! I'm a straight down the spectrum shipper when it comes to Powerpuff Girls, which means Reds, Blues, and Greens. The Blues (Bubbles/Boomer) are actually my favorite but apparently I'm in the minority so these recommendations won't show my personal preference. These are all stories with aged-up characters to probably high school or beyond.
Fandom: Powerpuff Girls
Pairing: Bubbles/Boomer for sure but there is definitely something going on with Blossom/Brick and even some interesting moments with Buttercup/Butch
Title:  Misconceptions
Author: Sandstorm3D
Link: ff.net
Rating/Warning(s): T/blood, gore, violence, death, child death, major character death, torture, injury, paralyzation, child abuse, tyranny, dystopian future, swearing, disabilist language, sexism, illness, malnutrition, (basically anything you can imagine happening if the world went to heck in a handbasket)
Genre: Adventure
Word Count/WIP?:  1,101,470; complete
Recced on LiveJournal By: roofshadow
Special Rec: 6 of ?
Why This Must Be Read: First of all let me say I'm a pacifist. I normally avoid anything that involves a lot of fighting. I find it not only upsetting but also often uninteresting to read/watch. I dozed off during some of Captain America: The Winter Soldier's fight scenes (I was watching it on DVD). What makes this fic so good is that there is an incredible amount of character growth and relationship building during the fighting. It's the character growth and relationship building that make this fic, and they make it very, very well. The focus is, of course, on the Powerpuff Girls and the Rowdyruff Boys but we get some wonderful father-daughter support with the Professor as well as some great appearances of other known and loved characters (and some terrifying appearances of a few others). The Girls face a very grimdark future, without their powers, and this is the story of the alliances they make as they face the climactic battle for the future of the world. Sandstorm3D is working on a sequel which this world can fully support but trust me, the ending is pretty epic on its own.
Fandom: Powerpuff Girls
Pairing:  Blossom/Brick, with a little bit of Bubbles/Boomer interaction and some tragic shades of Buttercup/Butch
Title:  28
Author:  mintbanana
Link: ff.net
Rating/Warning(s): T/violence, injury, emotional trauma
Genre: Drama/Romance
Word Count/WIP?:   64,758; complete
Recced on LiveJournal By: roofshadow
Special Rec: 7 of ?
Why This Must Be Read: Brick bets Blossom he can get her to fall for him in 28 days. However the fic is just as much about Blossom's relationships with her sisters as it is about her relationship with Brick, or more precisely it's about how her evolving relationship with Brick influences her relationship with her sisters. The girls all get new powers which complicate things a good deal and ratchet up the intensity of Blossom having her world view rattled. At its heart, beyond the romance, this fic is about Blossom learning to chill, at least a little bit, and finding out it helps in all sorts of ways but especially in her interactions with others.
Fandom: Powerpuff Girls
Pairing:  Blossom/Brick
Title: LBD
Author:   sbj
Link: ff.net
Rating/Warning(s): T/mild swearing, drinking, the "male gaze"
Genre: Vignette
Word Count/WIP?:    1,230; complete
Recced on LiveJournal By: roofshadow
Special Rec: 8 of ?
Why This Must Be Read: It's sbj. I don't think it's possible to be in the PPG fandom and not know sbj. However, she has written others fics besides the epic More Than Human and this is a great one. It's a brief moment but it's fraught with UST and it's evocatively written. Like a dark chocolate truffle, it is best enjoyed in this small dose.
Fandom: Powerpuff Girls
Pairing:  Buttercup/Butch
Title:  Best Kept Secret
Author:   sbj
Link: ff.net
Rating/Warning(s): T/swearing, drinking, the "male gaze," property damage, emotional infidelity
Genre: Romance
Word Count/WIP?:     14,507; complete
Recced on LiveJournal By: roofshadow
Special Rec: 9 of ?
Why This Must Be Read: If romantic angst is your thing, Best Kept Secret is made to order. It is chock-full of Butch internally struggling with his unrequited (or so he thinks) love for his best friend, Buttercup, over something like a decade. The moments highlighted are handled with a deft touch and evoke the tumultuous emotions of the young and in love. I should also mention this is an epilogue to another of sbj's stories, A Skirt for Sunday Evening. Why didn't I recommend the both of them? Well, sbj herself has said she's uncomfortable with the attempted rape trope she used in A Skirt for Sunday Evening. It's also pretty obvious that A Skirt for Sunday Evening was written seven years before Best Kept Secret . We all, hopefully, become better writers with time. You won't completely understand Best Kept Secret without A Skirt for Sunday Evening so my advice is to skim A Skirt for Sunday Evening and then if anything comes up in Best Kept Secret that confuses you or makes you want to know more, go back and find the scene it refers to in A Skirt for Sunday Evening.

The Duet Part 4
Buzzkill and Beekeeper sat in his room. To be more accurate, Buzzkill was laying down on his bed smugly while Beekeeper sat watching people’s opinions of Buzzkill expressed via the internet. “You made a lot of people angry,”
“I know! How great is it? It’s times like this I wish I had a bottle of champagne. Even Gyne is impressed,” Buzzkill replied, singsong.
“Only mildly,” the voice rang in his head.
“I’ll take what I can get,”
“I’m surprised no heroes caught us,” Beekeeper said, impressed.
“What? Oh, please. The Music Hall is away from Hero’s Study, and soundproofed so all the songs don’t mix together. Any heroes around were in the illusion that Bubbles was there and everything was safe. No one thinks you’re a threat if you’re doing karaoke with Superman, at least for only ten minutes with the doors closed,”
“How did you get the doors to close?”
“New friend. Dexter. He made the whole place lock down. No one escaping, no one texting or messaging about what’s happening. It’s only when the doors burst open and people’s screams exited the room that any heroes thought there was something wrong,” he said smugly. “Poke his ego a bit and it’s amazing what a Genius can do,”
Beekeeper nodded, watching social media accounts blaze. “I still think it was a bit mean what you did to Bubbles,”
“Biased,”
“Well, you know what I mean. I thought she was your favorite?”
“Least disliked,” he corrected. Beekeeper gave him a look saying that wasn’t the point. Buzzkill sighed. “School’s tough here. Any villain who successfully does something this major is huge! Making a Powerpuff helpless to a crime is like dethroning a queen. I made a name for myself!”
“Not the first time you’ve been called crazy,” Beekeeper teased.
“Har har,”
“Still, it’s a shame Bubbles dislikes you now. I was really liking talking to her,”
“You and most of the school body,”
“You could have been friends,” Beekeeper said innocently. Buzzkill gave him a look, raising an eyebrow. Like that would last. “I’m just saying it would be cool to work with Bubbles,”
“What? Convince her to be a villain?” he asked jokingly.
“Aren’t you the supervillain?”
Buzzkill gave him a deadpan look. “I have limits. I already tried convincing her male counterpart to work with me and nearly got destroyed. If I wasn’t disguised then, my whole Antidote X operation would have been a bust!”
“You convinced her not to immediately charge after you when her superpowers returned,”
“That’s different. The ‘we’re not so different’ speech works better as a way to escape while they haven’t had long enough to think about it. Better than I hoped, since Buttercup hasn’t smashed down my door yet,”
“At least they know I don’t have superpowers so they won’t target me,”
“Real great back up there,” Buzzkill said, a mix of joking and sarcasm. Beekeeper winced as he read through Reaper High’s outrage. “What’s wrong? Buttercup announce what she’s going to do to me?”
“No, Bubbles responded,”
Buzzkill sat up, smugly. “Is it hatred? Is it some boiling condemnation?” he asked, singsong. He was in their bad books anyway and set his bridges alight, might as well see how brightly they burned. Plus the worst said the bigger reputation as a villain he gets.
“’I’m Disappointed’,” Beekeeper read aloud. Buzzkill paused. “’When you offer someone a second chance, you always hope they’ll improve. Though sometimes they don’t, never forget to always see the best in people, and don’t let it stop you from helping the next person who might need it’,”
Buzzkill was stunned. “Did she just use my act of villainy to promote kindness?”
“I think so,”
“How could she!?” Buzzkill yelled, outraged. Beekeeper laughed. “I worked hard for this, and she’s going to use all my buzz to spread cheer and happiness!?”
“Yep,”
“The bitch!” Beekeeper was laughing hard now. Buzzkill was enraged. “She knows exactly what she’s doing too! Next time, truly no mercy! I am getting Dexter to build me a Deathtrap and putting her in it!” he fumed.
“Isn’t that a bit hard to hide?”
“I’ll make it invisible then!”
When Beekeeper finally stopped laughing, Buzzkill sat annoyed. Beekeeper moved over and patted his back. “Don’t worry, you still proved yourself as an excellent villain. Plus, I got all the songs recorded,” he said, trying to cheer him up.
Buzzkill sighed. “No chance you could edit her parts to make her look worse?”
“No way, did you see her? I’m not ruining that,”
“What a great minion you are,” Buzzkill teased.
“Only your best,” Beekeeper teased back. At least Buzzkill was happy his moment of villainy was going to be edited by the best video editor and director he knew.
Three days later, Buzzkill was suspicious. Though Buttercup did splatter him a few times, all of it was incredibly restrained. He expected Buttercup and Blossom to speed after him and make him beg for mercy after what he did. Oh they hated him, their glares were almost laserbeams, but it seems Bubbles had convinced them that detention was enough.
He muttered to himself as he went towards the room he was meant to have detention in today. Some Normal Hall class. When he approached, something was off. Very big room for detention. He shrugged it off and entered anyway.
He instantly regretted it.
A stand full of those from the duet was in the corner, radiating a twisted form of happiness that only comes from other’s suffering. Buzzkill could see Buttercup and Tootie there as well. Whatever was going to happen, it was going to be the revenge she was restraining for.
Harley Quinn was in the center along with a smiling Bubbles. In the corner, Beekeeper had set up cameras.
“Let me guess, you do this they’ll not give you any punishment,”
“Yep. Sorry Buzzkill,”
Buzzkill sighed. “And what is this anyway?”
“A duet!” someone from the crowd yelled spitefully.
“Actually it’s a performance piece,”
“DOOOOOOM!”
“Zim went to the Duet?” Buzzkill asked Beekeeper. Beekeeper shrugged.
“You’re going to help me reenact a certain scene as part of your detention,” Bubbles said.
“And this scene is?” he asked, raising an eyebrow. He already began to shift his clothing into carapace. Whatever it was, it wasn’t going to be pretty.
Beekeeper turned on the music. The Powerpuff Girls theme played.
Buzzkill paled.
Buzzkill lay groaning on the floor. He didn’t care if he looked ridiculous. He used all of his bees on healing himself and he still felt like he got hit with a truck. He lost limbs before and that didn’t hurt as much as this.
He now had a new level of sympathy for the villains in the Powerpuff intro.
As most of the crowd dispersed, happy with their revenge, Bubbles floated over. “Are you okay?” she asked. Buzzkill stared at her, deadpan. She just helped him up and gave him a chair.
“I see you took the idea of beating your theme song into my head,” he stated.
“It was a good idea,” she admitted. “Plus, all these people were hurt by you. It was the best way to clear a lot of anger everyone had,”
“And personal gratification for you,”
Bubbles frowned. “You made me regret helping someone. You made me confused and upset. But I remembered I can’t let villains affect me like that. I’m not invincible, but heaps of people here look up to me,” she said. “I’m ‘the joy and the laughter’,”
“And this has to do with justifying beating me up to your theme song how?”
“Oh, I’m not looking for forgiveness or justification. This is good,” she said cheerfully. Ironic echo. “I’m not perfect, and we do solve a lot of problems through violence. But sometimes it’s fine to enjoy defeating a villain in a way that’s not so nice if it makes everyone happy,”
“I’m really feeling the happiness,”
“Plus, now I don’t feel I regret helping you. You got punishment for your actions, and those you hurt aren’t hurt anymore. Though you should be more concerned in case someone’s allergic to bee stings,”
“They’re demon bees. Doesn’t provoke allergic reactions,”
“That’s great!” she said, smiling. “Then everything’s fine,”
Buzzkill frowned. “You don’t hate me?”
“Well, I’m still not completely friendly with you. You did betray me a lot then. And my sisters definitely hate you,” she noted. “But I feel better. So no,”
“You really are too forgiving for your own good,”
“I like to think I’m always willing to give second chances,”
“Someone’s going to ruin that for you one day,”
“Well I can think of someone who tried and that didn’t work,” she teased. “Anyway, I better go. If you want another duet make sure to invite my sisters next time!” she joked before flying off.
“Invite her to another duet and you’re dead,” Buttercup growled as she floated past, before flying off herself.
Buzzkill groaned as he sat in the chair. Beekeeper walked over. “...What is with you and really positive heroes, anyway?”
“They appeal to my sense of challenge,” he answered.
“...Should I tell Mantis you’re eyeing another hero?”
“I will fire you,”
“I could become part of the Powerpuff’s marketing and filming then. Bubbles was really good at getting all the punches and kicks right for a great reenactment,” Beekeeper noted. Buzzkill groaned again.
From school-wide renown villain to posterboy in the PPG’s latest advertisement of greatness. Just the rollercoaster ride of his unlife.
