#basically yesterday night was chaharshanbe suri . which is a solar new yr tradition where we let go of the past suffering in our year#and like...start the new yr w fresh vigour . anyway so my friend was at the event and we were abt to leap over the fire#and she was like bro im im glad u blocked her (situationship) etc etc . and then. my phone started vibrating. and i look at it. and my f#friend looks at it. and its her. and were both like what the fuck?? i blocked her things r Over and anyway so i pick up the phone and shesl#acting like nothing happened (bc nothing DID happen for her) and she was like ohh ur doing chaharshanbe suri im not doing anything etc what#are ur new yr plans so i jusr .IDK WHY I DID THIS . but ig i didnt wanna come off as like lonely i said probably hanging out w family and#friends maybe reading poetry together . et cetera and she was like wait that sounds so fun why didnt u invite me!#LIKE WDYM YOUVE BEEN CONSISTENTLY MAKING IT CLEAR U DONT WANT TO BE IN MY PRESENCE . and i told her that after#everything i thought she didnt want to see me again and she was like you always think that 😐 . like. ?? ok anyway so she expects me to#invite her . and like. there is an above 0% but sub-5% chance she will actually show up . but the panic that gripped me#i started making calls to my friends asking them if they can come on the 23rd bc there must be an event and also i asked my mother#and she said actually yeah i am doing a thing on the 23rd :D it involves over 16 ppl (we live in a v small flat) of which like...7 are kids#so you wont have space to be in ur own room let alone invite others. which tbh like ...being around a bunch of loud kids doesnt seem fun fo#any of my friends or me etc so i thought maybe i should arrange things so that we all go out together and if she shows up she shows up 🤷♀️#but . im so. doing my anatomy study is fucking torturous bc every time i read some shit like “birds dont have a diaphragm” my brains like “hmmmm…… birdperson…..” and then i end up thinking abt him instead of studying
#it is rlly fun tho. thinking deeply abt alien (bird guy) biology all the time#ok typing this bc its fun and counts as revision.#(if i get anything wrong idgaf. this is from memory)#birds only have tiny kinda rigid lungs so they have a bunch of air sacs instead for air to flow into#and no diaphragm! so they use the intercostal muscles to breathe in and out#which r like the muscles around the ribs#but also means if u squeeze them around the middle they cant breathe#birds also have a kinda weird digestive system due to not having teeth etc#but of course bp .. does. but his diet is similar to that of seed eating birds#we dont see him eat i dont think. ?#its possible he has a mixed style of digestive system.. with a stomach like a human and gizzard like a bird#assuming he just swallows seeds whole without chewing lol#hmmm… id say its probably more likely he just has a proventriculus/gizzard combo and maybe like. a larger proventriculus than normal birds#hard to say. we dont rlly know enough abt his diet ig#altho i imagine it to be omnivorous#also smth fun is birds often swallow stones to help digest seeds. now if he chewed it probably wouldnt be necessary. but think abt it. silly#ok take this w a pinchhh of salt. but diet aside the teeth could be used simply for speech.#i vaguely remember learning abt that in language.#also he does Canonically have a cloaca ! wont go into that rn. but hmmm. much to think abt.#basiclaly bp pussy reallllll#kinda.#in the ways that matter !#oooooh what else.#ooooh. yes. birds dont have vocal chords. they have a syrinx for vocalisation#but of coursee bp can talk.#butttt there are birds that can imitate human speech. so its possible bp just uses similar techniques for speech#but it also gives him a far greater control over his voice than most … making him perfect as the lead singer :]#oh and ummm. he veryyyy likely has hollow bones. so even tho hes huge hes deceptively light. Helloooo random WIP idea I just got.
In a small town in England a highschool boy is just trying to live his life when a ghost girl suddenly appears into his life (literally) She follows him around and eventually asks him for help solving her murder, so she can finally pass on. Plus it gives the added bonus to the boy that she will finally leave him alone. They end up traveling around the town, talking to people, uncovering clues, and growing closer in the process.
I have no idea what to do with this o_O

if escape rooms as team building exercises became popular im not sure if id be more excited or terrified
#if it isnt already anyway.. i can see it happening as a school frosh thing. idk if it would catch on as a workplace thing#i kind of find the concept of being locked in with strangers and working to find a way out weirdly exhilarating though#at least compared to icebreakers cause i dont have to spend 10 minutes racking my brain for something to blurt out abt myself#as a bonus u could like. put people into groups and give prizes to whoever escapes first second third etc. apparently they also do themed#escape rooms.. maybe let people pick a theme? or voluntary sign up? actually this would be really fun for smth like a blind friend date#although if i found out i was locked in a room with an online friend id be too excited to actually escape LOL#ive never done an escape room before so sadly i cant speak from experience. its like up there on things i want to try next to rug tufting#workshop and visiting new art exhibits or conventions. i seriously need to get out more if it wasnt for the horrors <- school and anxiety#i was planning to invite cass to a drop-in art workshop in town but neither of us could go bc typography is making us go thru hell and back#AND THEY HAD A BUTTON MACHINE TOO#im nostalgic bc i miss working in groups and not being awkward abt it or worrying abt schedule conflicts#i realized that i learn best in groups and its a little corny but i like sharing ideas and talking through a problem#in elementary i could just sit down with friends for review and come out of it energized *and* more familiar with the material#and i could technically still do it now. but as adults we're more picky abt who we work with on top of being way more busy outside school#maybe im lonely. im shy and grew up not talking to ppl unless i absolutely have to so its hard to make friends on my own i guess#only thing getting me thru it is telling myself that humans like helping and that my cringe is overblown in my head. but its hard#hence the escape rooms. i have been able to talk to 2(!!) people though!! mostly abt school stuff but im glad to be on friendly terms#i dont really know how to be happy these days cause im constantly scaring myself abt my portfolio and finding places to work#not being ambitious is part of not wanting to put energy into something that wont work out while also not having the passion to do literall#anything else.. i should probably talk to my counsellor ugh#yapping

Jay knew that this was wrong. Jay knew this, but still, he listened to Alex's words of comfort. Leaned into his chest, listening to his calm heart beat as Alex ran his fingers through Jay's hair, hat put off to the side as Alex whispered false promises into his ears.
"Tim never cared for you," Alex whispered softly as Jay's shoulders shook. "He was spreading this sickness. He did this to us — to you."
Jay knew that Alex was lying. But God, when was the last time he was held like this? Hugged? Comforted as sobs racked his body? Jay has been alone for so long, he just wanted his friend back. So Jay clung onto Alex's shirt, sobbing into his shoulders, listening to the lies from the snake's mouth.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry," Alex repeated. Alex was warm, and Jay convinced himself that the wet on Alex's hands was sweat, and not blood. "He had it coming, he was going to get us killed. I'm sorry, Jay. I am."
Sniffling, the shorter one curled into Alex. Just focusing on the warmth his body was radiating. Tim… he never comforted Jay like this, on nights where it was hard for him. Tim never held him like Alex was doing now, but… Tim isn't a touchy person. Wasn't.
(Oh, God, Tim was dead.)
Alex continues to whisper sweet nothings into Jay's ear, promises of safety and comfort. The small part of Jay's mind yelled this is what he did last time!
But he ignored the rational part of his brain, since Jay was used to doing that, and he felt his eyes droop as he listened to Alex's heartbeat. Alex ruined Jay, but he's the only one who can pick up the pieces. Jay knew he could never be whole, again, but maybe Alex could be the golden seams to Jay's broken pottery.
