unfortunately i forgot to draw some turtle art up to post 2day, so you guys can have some octonauts art until friday (when ill have some actual art for u guys 😓)

Shoutout to the multiple sketches I had to do to figure out how to draw an octopus and then didn't even lend him to looking like a Dumbo octopus. His dark spots read as like the dark blotches elders usually have, at least the ones I grew up around, so I added the white as a stand in for graying hair. (Please don't repost my art, reshares are chill tho)

Finally finished these drawings! I got a bit lazy with the shading, lol. I definitely need to draw the other octonauts as small little guys, too, but I just had to draw a whole separate thing for Inkling (partially bc he's my friend's favorite character, but mostly I just love the idea of a tiny little octopus buddy)

Since he doesn't have a beak in the show, I feel like he'd just be squishy, like one of those mochi fidgets

I doubt Inkling would enjoy being tiny. He's just too small to get things done in the library and has to be carried around any time he needs to get somewhere quickly

I'm thinking of trying to write a whole story about Shellington accidentally making a shrinking potion and the rest of the crew having to deal with the effects while he tries to make an antidote. It'll probably never make it past drafts, though 😅

Heyy there! If I may, what do you think the Octonauts favorite movies would be?

And to answer your ask, here are some of the Octonauts favorite movies!:

Captain Barnacles: Barnacles is not a huge movie watcher, but he enjoys watching older movies, such as Star Wars. He also enjoys the occasional horror movie.

Kwazii: Lives for high-action movies, such as Fast and Furious, Top Gun, etc. All time favorite movie for this guy has got to be Top Gun without a doubt. He also hates sappy, romantic movies- he can't stand them!

Peso: Also not a huge movie watcher, but likes comedies and movies that have a seemingly pointless plot. He also enjoys musicals. Doesn't have a favorite movie, but does enjoy The Greatest Showman fondly. Not a huge fan of high action movies

Dashi: A sucker for romantic comedies and dramas. For example, High School Musical. Also like Peso, she enjoys musicals. Also a fan of Disney movies, particularly the classic, older ones. Also not a fan of high action movies

Shellington: A true sci-fi fan, loves Star Wars. More or less a fan of fantasy movies, though forementioned, he's a lover of sci-fi.

Tweak: She, more or less, doesn't have a specific type of movie genre she likes. It's more of a "oh hey this looks interesting let's watch it." Regardless, she really enjoys movies with girlboss main characters. Some of her personal favorites? Big Hero Six, Mulan, Brave, and those of the sort. She also enjoys occasional horror or dystopian movies.

Professor Inkling: 100% documentary fan. Will watch whatever the rest of the crew is watching, given a movie night, but on his own time he watches documentaries on all sorts of subjects.

The Vegimals: They all love Disney. There's nothing else to it. Any and all Disney, though they've taken particular liking to Encanto and WALL-E.

🐙‼️OCTO ALERT‼️🐙

After a long bit, I finally finished the rest of the Octonauts! Enjoy more of my interpretations of them, and if you haven't seen my previous post about them, click here for Peso, Kwazii and Captain Barnacles!

In a world where most of the population consists of animal shifters, the Octonauts are a group marine biologists and activists who help bring attention to both the curious beauty of the Earth's waters and the harms that threaten its incredible ecosystems.

Tweak is the Octonaut's engineer, and she was the only member apart from the Captain himself who had been a part of the Octopod's original, hired crew. She's seen members come and go and had gone through the worst alongside her captain, yet her loyalty hasn't wavered even in the years she had served by his side. In fact, her love for adventure and marine life only seemed to grow as time passes. Apart from Kwazii- who she didn't fully trust at first, and rightfully so at the time- Barnacles considers her as someone he can put 100% of his faith in, and even the rest of their crew knows that she's someone they can truly rely on with anything.

Shellington is the Octonaut's scientist and was hired as their marine specialist. His colleagues would consider him a considerate man who's knowledge is only second to their founder, which sometimes scares the crew with just how much information he knows of any given animal. As for the Vegimals... Well, Let's just say that Shellington wanted to produce some food for the crew to keep them from surfacing every few months, and so, decided to start a greenhouse within the Octopod. Disappointed at the rate of which their goods are growing, he decided to "lend them a little help", though he instead finds himself becoming a father of 5 the following morning. He is now a full carnivore. He can't look at certain vegetables the same way again.

Dashi is the Octonaut's IT specialist and photographer, and so, often works alongside Tweak and Shellington (who she had been hired alongside) both on-field and within the Octopod. Though her knowledge on marine life can't compare to some of the other members, as a photographer she documents their missions, the creatures they had helped and occasionally files or publishes any new findings or updates regarding certain species. Prior to her work as an Octonaut, she was actually a well-renowned journalist who had earned several awards.

And, of course, how could I forget

Professor Inkling is the Octonaut's renowned founder, and is one of the oldest shifters to date. He's a knowledeable octopus, and though most founders and CEOs would rather lounge comfortably for the remainder of their lives, Inkling enthusiastically works alongside his employees and even assists and advises them if ever needed.

Why is he the only member of the Octonauts who isn't part human? the artist thinks it was funny Well, some believe that he's from an older generation of shifters, raised in his animal form. It certainly has some merit to it, especially considering no one- not even the octonauts themselves- had even recognised his species.

Barnacles believes that Kwazii should show more respect towards Inkling and should stop muttering assumptions and theories with Dashi and Shellington.

I kept it pretty simple bc I'm not used to drawing whole scenarios like this. But for this, I just couldn't resist. This is the ending of chapter 11 of @autistic-writer-angel 's fanfic "Rise and Fall"

Individual Designs for you guys

Yeah. Octonauts headcannons. Ctgd edition.

After I drew that art. I started thinking about their design. And the ones that suffered the most from the headcanon design were Dashi, Peso and Tweak.. ,nvm

(If there is no orientation flag in the pride headcanons, then they are hetero)

Their age is by human standards.

I also wanted to add flags of countries there, for headcanons of their nationalities. But I haven’t figured out where Kwazii comes from yet. Aeaeaah

And about vegimals. I don't know how many there are. But I'll figure it out later. :)

Octonauts Headcanons because they consume my brain (sleep edition)

Shellington cannot sleep if he isn't holding something, usually a plush toy or his own paw.

Dashi takes a while to get comfortable, tossing and turning for up to an hour.

Captain Barnacles has a special cooling blanket because polar bear.

The vegimals will routinely sleep in one big pile of the greenhouse floor for no apparent reason.

When stressed, Peso will make a nest out of blankets and pillows to sleep in.

Kwazii will knead his pillow before he goes to bed.

Tweak is a very active sleeper. She's a sleep-talker and -walker.

Inkling will occasionally fall asleep in the library. His little ear things will also twitch if you touch them.
