this may be mean but i can't help but feel like putting stuff like "former gifted kid" in your bio when you're in your 20s is a little... i don't have the word for it but really no one cares about that stuff when you get out of school

i feel the same way about people who look down on other people who have poor grammar like man that's really something you should grow out of after you're 9 years old and get complimented in class for having a big vocabulary

Sooo, to absolutely no one's surprise the new Percy Jackson reboot kicked me into full-blown pjo brainrot mode again lol. I saw these super cute fits and some vintage photos of Venice alleyways floating around on Pinterest and was consumed with the need to draw the Di Angelo siblings in them (it's probably wildly "historically and geographically" inaccurate for them, but we're just going to have to deal with the fact that I'm dumb and uncultured xD It's the vibes™ that count, okay!)

i got waitlisted at a potential mfa program and on one hand it feels REALLY good to have positive news (it's been all rejections so far lmao) but on the other hand the likelihood of me getting in off the waitlist is so small that i don't feel like i can celebrate. and it means even more waiting around for news when i'm honestly just ready to be done with this cycle lol.

Making your own UI, input and collision systems from scratch is hard, because there's always more stuff to account for. Using premade systems in existing engines and frameworks is tedious, because they are made to specifically account for every possible way someone can use them. There's absolutely no middle ground.

I'm really really happy that my art muse has come back and I'm actually focusing on getting ideas down on paper, but I also wish I had the time/money to get my digital art programs going again, like I used to love working on a digital piece (even though I usually hated the result after a few days)

tfw you go through an entire day waiting for meetings/calls/people to get back to you just to find 30 minutes before you were supposed to do any given thing that it’s been cancelled so now you’ve wasted the better part of your day waiting & preparing for stuff that didn’t even end up happening and now you have work you have to be doing instead of doing something else that’s actually enjoyable . 🙂
