At Work or Play, Always Paul Cascio

He was already near the top. Paul Cascio’s office on Two World Trade Center’s 84th floor summarized his professional and personal trajectory. Living large was a principle he followed before, during, and after work. Consistent living allows for steadily getting ahead.
The ambitious believe there’s no reason to wait for advancement. One can reach promotions before a certain age that comes to mind for those who burden themselves with limits. Serving as vice president at financial brokerage company Euro Brokers was an impressive title for someone who was 23 years old. But such steps come naturally to the motivated. Paul didn’t think he was too young to be an executive. He was right.
Approaching work in a similar manner to free moments doesn’t just make the day go by faster: it establishes a mentality that makes every aspect fulfilling. Paul was renowned for his commitment to achievement no matter the life area. Recreation was a game which he seemed to always win.
The vigorous competitor excelled at sports in the way frequently seen by bold types who take initiative. He played many as a reflection of his diverse interests and restless nature. The multitasking athlete was a high school swimmer, baseball player, and cross country runner. A teammate to many was honored with a varsity letter that was previously possible to view at the 9/11 Memorial Museum's In Memoriam gallery as part of exhibit titled Comeback Season: Sports After 9/11. He posthumously showed the value of coming together for enjoying the thrill of games when it didn’t seem like we’d ever experience joy again.
The personal sporting artifact served as a particular notable lesson about play’s value that represented the objective of museum’s presentation. Sports serve as a metaphor for what goes on between games. Participants present admirable characteristics on their own that are transferable to other scenarios. Prevailing despite a competition’s limits and physical obstacles is for determined people who complete tasks with zeal away from venues, too. Pins for a handful of sports befit someone with ample activities lined up. He didn’t skip seasons.
The embodiment of driven behavior reached goals while he wasn’t playing, as well. The graduate of Long Island’s Manhasset Secondary School went on to do the same at the University of Vermont. Cherish what’s accomplished by those in our lives while they’re still with us to respect the memory of Paul as one of 11 alumni murdered.
Paul knew how to make the most of whatever. Even his living situation signified his irrepressible personality. He resided in fashionable SoHo where he often hosted friends while grilling on his rooftop in a combination of living comfortably and his natural tendency to create the epicenter of socializing.
Rapid personal progress shows a dynamic individual applying himself. A similar principle follows out of the workspace. People remain constant when they’re not being paid. The same person who toiled figuratively high in the company and literally in the sky was the one who made the most of occasions away from his desk, too.
The simplest way to have fun is to work hard first. A little spending money leads to the chance to jet anywhere desired. An impressive job enabled frequent excursions. Paul took having fun seriously. He became legendary for putting together impromptu trips that began as casual half-serious ideas, embodied by jetting to Los Angeles and Dublin just to see his favorite band U2 in concert. You might never think of an offhand comment about international travel becoming an actual experience. That is because you were not friends with Paul, who made a hobby out of turning crazy suggested notions into reality.
It’s easy to appreciate a legacy that’s seen in countless online guestbook posts lamenting his loss by lauding how much he added to our world. His tribute page features a suitably lengthy feed of remembrances from childhood buddies, college pals, and relatives who seem like they would have gladly befriended Paul were they not lucky enough to be related to him. Fond accounts are packed with memories of adventures on campus and around the globe which all share him as a common feature.
Mourners can pay tribute at different locations to someone who put so much into many endeavors. Mount Saint Mary Cemetery in Flushing serves as the site of rest for a person who was continually in motion. Paul is also commemorated on Panel S-30 of the South Pool of the National September 11 Memorial. The vice president is one of 61 Euro Brokers employees with names gathered together. An immeasurably devastating loss at just one company is a staggering illustration of the attack on humanity’s scale.
By any measure, Paul was a success far beyond his limited years as seen by his thriving career and invigorating take on existence. A giant personality who lived accordingly also epitomized decency. His final act put who he was on display: Paul and a coworker went to help someone in need of assistance after the attack in a decision that may have cost him his life while showing what he made of it. Paul Regan Cascio was the best sort of person in the worst circumstances. He set an aspirational example that continues. To this day, Paul lived a lot.

Eddie doesn't think there'll ever be a time he could quantify his love for Buck; it will grow and grow and grow like the universe. He likes to think there's a place carved out in space just for Eddie, Buck and Christopher, for their little family, where their love will continue to grow forever.
So clearly, he's a little bit in love with Buck. Only a little bit. But how can he not be, when Buck's entire existence makes it impossible not to?

NEW CHAPTER of Ripple Posted!
Chapter 11 Snippet Below. Title: I Know You?
Kats22 (Katsuki from Year 2922) sat at a corner table in the bustling café, his anger simmering beneath the surface. Small pops crackled on his palms, making him look out of place in the calm of the coffee shop. Beside him, Izuku (from Year 2996) ever the innocent—yet oblivious—soul, tried to placate him. He practically had to rip the blond away from a smug-looking Shindo before he committed spectacular homicide.
"Kacchan,” Izuku brimmed with concern. "It’s really not that big of a deal—”
"He acted like you’re fuckin’ his!" Kats22 raged—turning a few patron heads toward them at the outburst.

Battletech: Viktor Starkov, Military Life (3)
Part 3: ComStar ROM Intelligence Notes
Subject: Viktor Starkov, Major, Black Riders (Mercenary, Draconis Combine) File: ROM-3025-VS-Gamma Author: Adept-Precentor Max Stirlitz Gamma VII, ROM Intelligence Division Date: September 15, 3025 Classification: Restricted, ComStar Archives, Terra
Overview
Viktor Starkov (b. 2976, Tikonov) is a 'Mechwarrior officer who rose from infantry private whose 28-year career spans infantry, covert operations, and mercenary MechWarrior service. Rising from a Dispossessed factory worker to Black Riders commander, he defies BattleTech’s caste system, earning “Dispossessed Demon” and “Vampire of Kirchbach” monikers (from 3005 enzyme). ROM’s interest stems from his encounter with Adept Alina (September 14, 3025) and unwitting proximity to ComStar conspiracies, though he remains oblivious. Stirlitz notes, “He has never been so close to discovery.”
Career Analysis
Infantry (2997–3001): Starkov’s enlisted service in the 92nd League Regulars faced prejudice from MechWarrior aristocrats, akin to Prussian Junkers’ disdain for commoners. His field promotion (3002, Loric) was met with skepticism over his lack of academy polish.
Covert Operations (3003–3005): SAFE raids mirrored WWII SOE agents like Peter Kemp, with a 3005 breakdown reflecting covert stress. His Menkalinan action (3003) earned a rare Mention in Dispatches for an officer promoted from the ranks.
Commando (3006): Coventry raid leadership echoed SAS figures like Paddy Mayne, with the Distinguished Service Award boosting MechWarrior credibility.
Mercenary (3024–3025): Black Riders’ formation leverages his reputation (Atlas-Slayer, medals). Survival of Black Widow encounters and mutiny (3024) suggests resilience but raises ROM suspicion. His 3025 Atreus interview exposing Anton Marik’s end heightens his profile.
Eccentricities
Ritualistic Command: Formal uniforms, bugle calls, formations, and segregated messes seek legitimacy, countering Dispossessed stigma, akin to Ernst Jünger’s disciplined romanticism in Storm of Steel.
Habits: Biweekly heavy drinking and minor servant beatings indicate stress relief, balanced by restraint with maids. Mirror aversion (post-3023 surgery) reflects identity struggles.
Symbols: Platinum Atlas baton and gyrojet pistol project authority against noble scorn.
Personal Life
Svetlana Volkova (2995–2996): Tikonov girlfriend; smuggling dissidents led to defection.
Margaret Ellison (2999): POW camp commander’s wife, bore illegitimate son Victor Ellison.
Amira Winter (3000–3001): Factory worker, killed pregnant in Lyran raid.
Leila (3006–3015): Exituri fugitive, married, daughters Natalya (3008) and Viktorya (3011), abandoned post-New Delos.
Vesper Dawn (3019–3020): Canopian dancer/prostitute, divorced, failed stability attempt.
Klara Marik (3015): Possible liaison, missing, suspected political motives.
Adept Alina (3025): Kirchbach flirtation risks ComStar exposure.
Psychological Note: Romantic volatility reflects PTSD and class insecurity, seeking connection but prioritizing survival.
Assessment
Starkov’s competence and awards (Distinguished Service Award, Regulan Ankh) contrast with his impulsive history (defection, rebellion, mutiny). His status, an officer, but not a gentleman, and Dispossessed roots make him a pariah among MechWarrior elites, yet his reputation draws recruits. Covert skills suggest ROM asset potential, but distrust of authority precludes recruitment. His Alina encounter and Atreus interview necessitate vigilance.
Recommendation: Passive surveillance. Neutralize if nearing critical ComStar intelligence. Track Black Riders’ expansion for Inner Sphere impact.

Title: A Little Bit o’ Mermaid Magic Chapter 4: A Special Kind of Mermaid Magic
Fandom: Octopath Traveler 2
Pairing: Osvald/Partitio
Word count: 2996
Warnings: None
Fic Summary: Osvald is rescued after his escape from prison by Partitio, a valuable and talented member of the Merfolk Merchant’s Guild.
After being nursed back to health, Osvald embarks on a journey for revenge, and fate seems to keep bringing him and Partitio together…until the day came when fate decided to stop dragging them apart.
Chapter Summary: Partitio runs into Osvald yet again while traveling through the Riverlands. This time, however, he senses that something is very wrong, and Partitio is determined to help Osvald in any way that he can.
Even though he was glad to call the sea his home, Partitio loved traveling by river, as that allowed him to see all of the wonderful sights that the vastly different regions of Solestia had to offer. Today, it was the verdant forest of the Leaflands, abundant with lush vegetation and beautiful flowers that filled his nostrils with a most pleasant scent whenever Partitio broke the surface of the water.
Partitio paused in the middle of the river and pulled out his map, letting out a hum as he rubbed at his chin. He had just left the town of Timberain after doing some more advertising for the Merfolk Merchant’s Fair, and his next destination was set to be a much smaller town called Cropdale. Smiling as he tucked his map away, Partitio started swimming again, thinking that today was turning out to be a great one…and it seemed fated to get ever better.
Partitio caught movement out of the corner of his eye, and a broad smile slowly crept across his face when he spotted a very familiar silhouette moving quickly down the road that ran parallel to the river.
“Hey, Osvald!” Partitio called out, waving his arms excitedly and splashing water about. A warmth spread throughout his chest at seeing the object of his affection again so soon, and he couldn’t wait to hear how his confrontation with that bastard Harvey had gone.
However, the smile slowly fell from Partitio’s face as a sense of dread washed over him. Something was…wrong. Osvald didn’t seem to hear Partitio’s rather boisterous greeting, and seemed to be in quite a hurry as he rushed right by Partitio without a passing glance. As Partitio watched him with a knit brow, he noticed that Osvald was stumbling slightly, and his breathing was labored and erratic. Something was definitely very wrong.
“Osvald wait! Hey!” Partitio cursed under his breath as he swam to catch up to Osvald, and he spotted a low-hanging bridge up ahead. Biting his lip, Partitio quickened his pace to beat Osvald to the bridge and he pulled himself up onto the ledge of it.
“Stop, partner!” Partitio yelled as Osvald tried to run past him, and Partitio reached out to grab him by the arm. Osvald kept moving for a moment, forcing Partitio to grip the railing of the bridge with his other hand to keep himself from being dragged to the ground.
Osvald stumbled backwards and finally turned to Partitio, and the look on his face made Partitio’s gut twist with worry. Dark bags sat under Osvald’s bespectacled, bloodshot eyes, and his face was almost as pale as when Partitio had found him half-dead and floating in the sea. The arm that Partitio held was shaking, and he slowly shook his head as he met Osvald’s gaze.
“Osvald…you look like you’ve just rolled out of a grave! What happened?” Partitio asked, and Osvald grit his teeth and yanked his arm away.
“I-I can’t stop, I need to…get to Gravell…” Osvald growled, and Partitio was giving pause at the overwhelming amount of rage in his tone. He started to stomp away, but Partitio pursed his lips and placed a hand on his shoulder, using all of his strength to turn the larger human back towards him.
“Now hold on there, partner,” Partitio said, his eyes narrowing to match Osvald’s glare as he placed both hands on his shoulders, “You look like you’re about to fall back into that grave any second now. Let me cook you a meal, and you can tell me what happened.”
“But-”
Partitio shook his head, his grip tightening. “No buts! You’ll never make it to Gravell if you collapse from exhaustion or hunger, right? Let me help you, please.”
Osvald stared him down for a moment, and Partitio’s mouth went dry as his heart hammered hard within his chest; he hoped that his heartfelt plea was enough to convince him to rest. A few long seconds ticked by, before the tension disappeared from Osvald’s shoulders and he nodded.
“...Fine,” he mumbled, his mouth set into a tight line, and Partitio breathed a sigh of relief as they moved to the riverbank. Partitio quickly started setting up his tent and cooking supplies, while Osvald gathered wood to make a campfire, setting it alight with a snap of his fingers; Partitio had always been amazed at how easily magic came to him.
A heavy silence fell between them as Partitio cooked and Osvald stared blankly at the fire. Partitio tried to keep his mind on his cooking, but he couldn’t help but speculate about why Osvald was in such a state. Had his confrontation with Harvey gone wrong somehow? He couldn’t imagine how that could have happened.
“Here ya go!” Partitio said, forcing a smile as he barked out a half-hearted laugh, “This here is my special beef and veggie stir-fry surprise!” He handed Osvald a full plate and winked as he nudged him with his elbow.
“The surprise is that there’s no beef, ‘cause I ran out and forgot to buy more, haha!”
Partitio’s laughter trailed off when Osvald just stared down at his plate without a word. Worrying his bottom lip between his teeth, Partitio didn’t bother to fill his own plate, and instead pulled himself up to sit on the log next to Osvald.
“What happened, Osvald? I wanna help you, if I can.” Partitio’s voice was soft, and he reached out to place his hand on his thigh, giving it a gentle squeeze. Osvald said nothing for a moment and tried to take a bite of his food, but his hand was shaking too much. Partitio reached up to cover his hand with his and helped steady his fork so that he could take a bite.
“It’s…good,” Osvald said in a quiet, defeated tone, and Partitio’s heart sank when Osvald pushed his glasses up to rub at his watery eyes.
“Harvey…” Osvald spat the name like it was poison on his lips. “When I confronted him, he attacked me with a monstrous golem that he created…with my wife’s blood.”
Partitio’s eyes went wide and jaw dropped as Osvald continued. “I-I managed to…kill it, and then…my daughter walked into the room.” Partitio let out a surprised gasp and smiled at that; his daughter was actually alive! However, what Osvald said next wiped that smile from his face and caused his stomach to churn with horror:
“She called out ‘Papa’ and…went right to Harvey.” Osvald had started shaking again, and Partitio quickly took his plate of food from him before he could spill it all over the ground, “H-He brainwashed her, and took her to Gravell to be used in some twisted, dark ritual. M-My dear Elena…” Osvald’s hands moved to cover his face as he suddenly broke down crying, and Partitio sniffed as tears welled up in his own eyes.
“Oh, Osvald…” was all that Partitio could bring himself to say, and he pulled Osvald into a tight hug without a second thought. Osvald started sobbing ever harder as he buried his face into Partitio’s shoulder, and the breath was crushed from his lungs when Osvald wrapped his arms around him and clung to him tightly, as if he was holding on for dear life.
As he continued to hold Osvald in what he hoped was a comforting embrace, Partitio couldn’t help but feel so… useless. He cursed the fact that he was confined to the water, because otherwise he’d be right by Osvald’s side ready to beat that bastard Harvey’s ass. Alas, he couldn’t do that, so for now he would focus on what he could do for Osvald: give him a shoulder to cry on, a hot and hearty meal, a warm and comforting embrace, and so, so much unconditional love, even if it remained unspoken.
Partitio swallowed thickly, tears falling down his face as he closed his eyes and gently rubbed his hands over Osvald’s back. “I’ve got you, partner. I’m here for you.” He slowly rocked Osvald back and forth, and Partitio pressed his face against his soft hair as he bit the inside of his cheek to stifle a sob of his own.
He really couldn’t imagine what horrible mess of emotions Osvald was dealing with right now. Partitio’s blood was boiling at what Harvey had done, using Osvald’s wife’s blood and brainwashing his daughter. The only positive that Partitio could glean from this situation was that Osvald’s daughter was alive, but he would wait until later to bring that up.
The fire had burned down quite a bit by the time Osvald finally lifted his face from Partitio’s shoulder, and Partitio offered him a small smile as he reached up to brush a few stray tears from Osvald’s cheeks.
“Better?” Partitio asked, and Osvald let out a deep, tired sigh before giving him a slight nod in response, “You should try and finish your meal, partner. Gotta keep your strength up if you’re gonna save your daughter!”
“You…are right,” Osvald said, and he let Partitio help him take a few more bites of food, until his hands had stopped shaking and he could eat on his own.
Partitio finally filled a plate of stir-fry for himself, and they ate in silence until their plates were clean. The fire was nothing but embers now, so Osvald put it out completely and helped carry Partitio to the tent that he had set up. After Osvald had gotten comfortable in his nightclothes, he had settled his head onto Partitio’s lap as the merman carefully pulled a brush through his long, beautiful hair.
“I’m so sorry that happened to you, Osvald,” Partitio said, giving the hand that he was holding a squeeze, “I wish I could have been there for ya.” Partitio hung his head and averted his gaze, but he looked back at Osvald when he felt his arm tighten around his waist.
“It’s alright, Partitio. I…know that you kept me in your thoughts, and that means a lot to me,” Osvald said as he looked up at Partitio with such a gentleness in his gaze that took his breath away.
Partitio perked up at that, and he felt his cheeks start to heat up. He wanted to say that Osvald never strayed from his thoughts at all, but he managed to hold his tongue for now; this was definitely not the time to air out those particular feelings.
“...and thank you for stopping me.” Osvald grimaced and rubbed his cheek against Partitio’s stomach, and Partitio let out a giggle when his beard tickled his skin. “It was careless and foolish of me to travel all the way from Montwise without eating or sleeping-”
“You came all that way without food or sleep?!” Partitio exclaimed, and Osvald pursed his lips and sighed.
“Er, yes. At least I had nothing in my stomach to expel during that horrid trip across the sea…” he mumbled, and Partitio sighed as he gave Osvald a love-tap on his shoulder with the hairbrush.
“Gods, you’re damn lucky I found ya when I did! Any longer and you’d’ve been a real goner.”
“I know, I know. It was highly illogical of me.”
“You got that right, but…” A fond smile crossed Partitio’s face as he brushed the back of his webbed fingers over Osvald’s cheek. “I’m so glad to hear that your daughter’s alive! And I just know that you’ll find a way to fix her brainwashin’, with those scholarly smarts of yours.”
“Will I?” Osvald mumbled, and Partitio frowned when he heard him sniff. “I-I’m scared, Partitio. What if…she never does acknowledge me as her real father?”
“She will, Osvald, I just know it.” Partitio surprised even himself with the amount of confidence in his voice, and his heart swelled when Osvald chucked and sat up.
“You sound so sure of that.” Osvald raised an eyebrow and stared at Partitio over his glasses. “Is that due to this ‘mermaid magic’ of yours that you’re always going on about?”
Partitio barked out a laugh and winked. “Hehe, well, that’s my little secret, partner! You’ll just have to wait and see.” Osvald laughed at that, and Partitio was glad to see that he seemed to be feeling much better than earlier.
Osvald suddenly let out a long yawn and stretched out his back. “I should get some sleep. I need to head to Gravell as soon as I can.”
“You got it, partner!” Partitio said, his mood deflating a bit. He didn’t want to part from Osvald yet, but he knew that it would be selfish of him to suggest staying and putting off his rest. Osvald had an important mission to complete, and getting enough sleep would be essential in helping him to save his daughter.
“I’ll just go and set up my spare tent-”
“Wait, Partitio.”
Partitio paused with his arm pushing up the tent flap, his heart racing as he turned his head back to Osvald. Osvald cleared his throat and fidgeted with his fingers for a moment, before his gaze moved up to lock with Partitio’s.
“Will you stay here and…hold me, like I held you back in Montwise?” Osvald asked, and Partitio thought that his heart might just burst right out of his chest then and there.
“I sure will!” he blurted out, and he immediately smacked his hands over his mouth, his face flushing a bright red when Osvald chuckled, “Er, I-I mean, yes!” He tried and failed to tone down his happiness, but Osvald didn’t seem put off by it at all, so Partitio threw caution to the wind.
“Thank you.” Osvald set up the bedroll and took off his glasses before lying down, and Partitio couldn't stop a goofy smile from crossing his face as he let Osvald wrap his arms around him and pull him close.
Osvald covered both of them with a blanket and was quick to rest his head on Partitio’s chest, and Partitio wrapped his arms around him and let his tail wrap around Osvald’s leg.
“Is my tail okay like that?”
“Mhm. Makes me feel…secure.”
“Aw, shucks…”
Osvald’s arms tightened around Partitio as he pressed himself flush against him, and Partitio a fond smile crossed his face while he gazed down at Osvald’s face as his eyes slowly slipped shut.
“Goodnight, Partitio.”
“G’night, Osvald. Sweet dreams.”
It didn’t take long for Osvald’s breathing to even out, and Partitio had to stifle a chuckle when he started snoring. Partitio wasn’t sure how this human had managed to take such a tight hold of his heart, and oh how he ached for the opposite to be true as well…
“L…ve…ou…Par..tio…”
Partitio’s eyes went wide as Osvald mumbled in his sleep, and he wasn’t sure if his feelings for the man that he held in his arms was making him hear things. Blinking away the tears that pricked at the corners of his eyes, Partitio’s lips curled up into a smile as he pressed them against Osvald’s hair, whispering his reply just before sleep could claim him as well:
“Love you too, Osvald…”
Morning came far too soon, in Partitio’s opinion, and he was none too happy when he had to detangle himself from Osvald’s warm embrace. He knew it was for the best, because Osvald had his daughter to save, and the last thing that Partitio wanted was to hinder him.
“Alright, here’s a bunch of cured meats and bread, oh, and some cheese that should be good for a bit longer…” Partitio beamed as he handed a bulging sack to Osvald, who chuckled as he securely attached it to his travel pack.
“Thank you, Partitio, for everything.” A fiery determination blazed in Osvald’s eyes, and Partitio matched the intensity of his gaze as he nodded. “I should head out now. Elena needs me.”
“Oh, wait, partner!” Partitio’s eyes went wide as an idea popped into his mind, and he rummaged through his bag and pulled out a shiny silver coin. His gaze locked with Osvald’s as he brought the coin to his face and pressed it to his lips, and he took a moment to admire the cute blush that rose upon Osvald’s cheeks.
“Here, take this,” Partitio said as he flicked the coin at Osvald, who caught it with ease, “It’s filled to the brim with my own, special brand of mermaid magic, so it’ll keep you safe for sure!” Partitio shot Osvald a wink, and was delighted when he laughed.
“Thank you, I will cherish this gift.” Osvald maintained eye contact as he lifted the coin to his own lips and kissed it, and it was Partitio’s turn to blush as his jaw dropped. “I will save Elena, and make sure to return this to you.”
“Osvald…” A beaming smile slowly spread over Partitio’s face, and he reached out to take Osvald’s hand, giving it a shake. “You can do it, I just know it! I’ll be cheerin’ you on!”
Osvald carefully stowed the coin away and gave Partitio’s hand a squeeze. “Farewell, Partitio.”
After his hand had slipped from Osvald’s grasp, Partitio waved as Osvald set off in a hurry, and he slipped into the cool, calm river. Letting out a deep sigh, Partitio leaned his arms against the riverbank and rest his chin on his hands as he watched Osvald get father and father away.
“Shucks…Got it real bad for ‘im, don’t ya Partitio?” he said to himself. He perked up when Osvald paused and turned around to give Partitio one last wave before he disappeared around the bend, and Partitio turned into a giggly mess as his tail swished vigorously back and forth in the water.
“...Really, really bad.”

Eloise Living - 4t2 Conversion of Leaf-Motif's Living Room Set
Hi everyone! This set was definitely a challenge, but after much frustration, I'm happy to finally share it with you! Details, swatches and download under the cut!
Going through @leaf-motif's Simblr, I immediately fell in love with this beautiful Eloise Living set. It's a beautiful balance of traditional and contemporary, and the colors and patterns are just delightful.
There's one piece missing, and that's the mirror. I spent days and countless versions trying to get it right. With the rest of the set finished, requests to work on and Simblreen projects in desperate need of some attention, I decided to back burner the mirror for now and release the set without it. I haven't given up and will upload it as soon as I kick its ass into submission, but that day is not today. XD
So here's everything that you do get:
Sofa 4606 poly, Comfort > Sofas $800 Loveseat (slaved to sofa) 2996 poly, Comfort > Sofas $700 Armchair 1690 poly, Comfort > Living Chairs $400 Sideboard (5 slots) 2716 poly, Surfaces > Misc $500 Table Lamp 1328 poly, Lighting > Table Lamps $150 Ceiling Lamp (slaved to table lamp) 1372 poly, Lighting > Ceiling Lights $200 Disco Ball Floor Plant 632 poly, Deco > Plants $50 Disco Ball Table Plant (slaved to floor plant) 494 poly, Deco > Plants $50 Pillows Left 1792 poly, Deco > Misc $50 Pillows Right 768 poly, Deco > Misc $50
A quick note about the ceiling lamp. The original set comes with three different lengths of this lamp because of the different wall heights in TS4. I only converted the short length because we only have one wall height, and I didn't really see myself using this style of lamp with two story ceilings. If anyone would like the other lengths, please just let me know!
Okay! Onto the swatches! All of the seating comes in fifteen colors:
The sideboard comes in eight:
The pillows come in five (left on top, right on bottom):
The lamps also come in five:
And I don't have a swatch for the disco ball planters because the texture is too small, but it comes in four shiny colors Doctor Johnny Fever would no doubt find repulsive (10 points if you catch that reference XD).
I think that covers everything! Much gratitude to @leaf-motif for such a beautiful set, and also to @tvickiesims for helping me troubleshoot the ceiling light! If I messed anything up, please let me know!

Active Living by Maurita Tam

Maurita Tam was a month into her career and 22 years into her life. A recent college graduate who had already succeeded as a human looked to have countless possibilities ahead. But she seized every chance that came her way in the time she had. She shined while radiating elation to those around her, which is the most anyone could hope with however many days are available.
She thrived in a city that was hers. True New Yorker Maurita was born in Manhattan before going on to graduate from Stuyvesant High School, which is one of the system’s most prestigious. The sort of impressive student universities dream of could have gone to any number of them. Amherst College was the lucky one. The fortunate host to the talented enrollee granted her an earned economics degree in May 2001.
The conclusion of her collegiate career in Massachusetts meant heading back home. Maurita was just getting started at her livelihood as an executive assistant for the Aon Corporation, a professional services and management consulting firm. The position served as a solid career opener that undoubtedly would have led to further terrific advancement. She was near the top literally while working on the 99th floor of the World Trade Center’s Tower 2.
Maurita appreciated where she was in multiple senses. As a sharer of thoughts online in an era when doing so involved more complications than heading to social media apps using a glowing pocket screen, she posted on September 10 from her college community’s blogging system about seeing a rainbow over Manhattan from her floor in the sort of treasured moment that illustrated her exuberance in living while taking on tremendous significance soon afterward.
Her company alone suffered incomprehensibly horrible loss: Maurita was one of 176 Aon employees murdered on September 11, 2001. They contributed much at work during the course of living their lives. She was also one of three Amherst alumni lost after pursuing goals following time spent learning.
Everything had seemed to be coming into place for someone who dedicated herself to maximizing her numerous gifts. A feasible journey to southern Manhattan worked out both before and after graduation. Maurita commuted to high school then her job from the New Springville neighborhood of Staten Island near the borough’s center. The Tams made it their home after settling there in 1984. She was living with her family as she began her career.
It’s a blessing to see someone excel in multiple facets of multiple areas. Her activities outside of the classroom sound like a scriptwriter was overenthusiastic about creating a well-rounded gifted student character, yet they were all real. Maurita spoke six languages while holding a yellow belt in taekwondo. And she spread music, too. A college singer who also played piano and clarinet, she was a member of the Concert Choir and Women’s Chorus at Amherst. Maurita spent summer 2001 on a European tour with the former before embarking on her professional life as she saw a continent while singing within it.
A busy human is at rest in Kensico Cemetery in Valhalla, which is in Westchester County north of New York City. You can additionally find her honored name on Panel S-53 of the South Pool alongside her uncle Wai Ching Chung, who also perished that morning and shares ground in the same cemetery.
Her personality remains in memories of those graced by her presence. Maurita passed along ebullience just by being herself. So many people who were fortunate enough to spend time with her cherish having had the chance. Maurita exuded happiness in an infectious manner. Her intermediate school classmate Jennifer Rajewski summed her up in an online guestbook by noting “I never saw her in a bad mood ever.” What could be a more heartening approach? Displaying an admirable manner is the most anyone can do when given the opportunity.
Maurita did life right no matter how many years it featured. She achieved a tremendous amount in and out of class along with in and out of school. Her record in subjects remains as impeccable as it is in extracurriculars. A notably capable person’s most notable triumph was spreading joy. Those in her orbit posses fond remembrances of someone with tremendous potential who leaves a legacy of wonderful actuality. She will always have graced innumerable lives during her short and amazing time.
It’s easy to speak in platitudes about living to the fullest because we don’t know when life will end. But Maurita actually did so by exhibiting joie de vivre in the everyday. She lived with uncommon zeal we should try to make common in her honor. Maurita’s accomplishments merely begin by listing her hobbies.

[Privilege Jadi Perempuan]
Hidup di dunia ini cuma sebentar. Rata-rata paling 60 tahunan. Misal, kita usia 20 tahunan.

« WARNING WARNING WARNING » The security of this file has been compromised. Information contained below may not be accurate.
Due to a pending investigation by the Foundation Information Security Division, this file has been [LOCKED]. All attempts to access this file will be monitored, and attempting to edit this file is strictly prohibited. ————————————– For more information, see Special Addendum 2996.A below. ___________________________________ Item #: SCP-2996
Object Class: Euclid Safe Neutralized
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-2996 is to be contained within a standard Incorporeal Entity Vacuum Chamber at Site 81. This chamber is to be fitted with 4 Non-Physical Displacement Neutralizers (nPDN). SCP-2996 may be allowed to request certain items for entertainment.
Once weekly, SCP-2996 must undergo a routine psychological evaluation with an on-site psychologist in order to properly evaluate SCP-2996’s mental state. Due to current concerns about the state of SCP-2996’s mental health, the appropriate use of Class-H Electrostatic Amnestic Treatment has been approved, if necessary.
Updated Containment Procedures: Due to the effective use of the nPDNs, it is possible to now perform physical examinations of SCP-2996. These exams must be performed once weekly as part of an ongoing effort to collect information regarding the physical nature of incorporeal entities.
Updated Containment Procedures: As of 08/19/2012, SCP-2996 has been declared neutralized. All aforementioned containment procedures are no longer required.
Description: SCP-2996 is a Class II Incorporeal Humanoid Entity, initially discovered in an abandoned home in Nashville, Indiana. SCP-2996 appears to be a young human female of European descent with black hair and blue eyes, and a number of visible wounds across the entire body, including a major gunshot wound to the right eye. Although SCP-2996 is by default an incorporeal entity, the use of nPDN devices has allowed Foundation personnel to “anchor” SCP-2996 into a physical state during examinations. It is currently hypothesized that the use of these devices, along with other aspects of containment, is the source of SCP-2996’s deteriorating mental/emotional state.
SCP-2996 claims to be eight year old Emily Nash, the subject of a murder in Nashville, Indiana, in 1929. Data recovered from various sources have supported the claim that an Emily Nash was found dead in her home, however, the listed cause of death was suicide. During interviews, SCP-2996 has rejected any evidence that supports suicide, and has vehemently remarked on several occasions that its killer was a close friend and neighbor, one thirteen year old James Franklin. The existence of this individual in Nashville in 1929 has not been verified, however, efforts to collect additional information are ongoing.
Psychiatric Evaluation Results: There is concern, to me, about the state of SCP-2996’s emotional health. The object clearly is at odds with evidence presented to it, as well as its current state of containment. Throughout interviews, it has become clear that SCP-2996 believed that it lingers in this world in order to enact revenge upon its killer, and that it was a powerful, unbound spirit. This, of course, is in direct conflict with both information that we have provided to SCP-2996 in regards to its death, as well as its containment within Site 81. SCP-2996, then, is no longer certain about a number of things, which has led to increased anxiety in the subject, as well as depression and suicidal thoughts. Given the nature of its being, the latter is of utmost concern.

SCP-2996: …you are the slime of this wretched earth just like him and just like him I will find your heart through your throat and pull the life out of you…
Dr. Rudolph: (Motions to mute speakers) Right, SCP-2996, this will be much easier for both of us if you’re willing to comply with these examinations. Unfortunately, I’m not sure how much we’re going to be able to accomplish today, so let’s just postpone this until you’re feeling a little better.

Date: July 1st, 2012 Interviewer: Dr. David Rudolph Interviewee: SCP-2996
[BEGIN LOG]
Dr. Rudolph: Good morning, SCP-2996. Are you feeling up to talking today?
SCP-2996: (SCP-2996 is huddled in the corner of its containment cell) You speak with vermin tongues that lick your vermin lips and you think I would want to speak to you? (SCP-2996 spits towards the observation deck)
Dr. Rudolph: I understand your frustration, SCP-2996, but you really must learn to cooperate with us here. Nobody wants to harm you, we just want to talk.
SCP-2996: (Laughs) I am an unbound spirit of torment, you mortal wraith. I will not have words with you. I will not stop until I can squeeze the life out of his writhing throat.
Dr. Rudolph: SCP-2996, we’ve been over this before. The evidence we’ve gathered makes it clear that-
SCP-2996: He murdered me in cold blood! He swore on my damnation! Do not speak to me of your foul eviden- (SCP-2996 lunges towards the observation deck, colliding with the glass. SCP-2996 appears shaken.)
Dr. Rudolph: SCP-2996, I am willing to turn off our Neutralizers and allow you to return to your incorporeal form, but only if you will calm yourself and speak to me.
SCP-2996 becomes violent, thrashing throughout its containment cell and beating the walls with various parts of its body. Security personnel enter the cell and sedate SCP-2996. Dr. Rudolph calls an end to the interview.
[END LOG]
Site Assistant Director’s Note: Pending approval, Dr. Rudolph has been transferred to Site 18. Dr. Angela Kidwell will assume acting lead on all of Dr. Rudolph’s active Site 81 projects.
Addendum 2996.3: Psychiatric Evaluation Interview 07/28/2012
+ Show Interview
Date: July 28th, 2012 Interviewer: Dr. Angela Kidwell Interviewee: SCP-2996
[BEGIN LOG]
Dr. Kidwell: Good afternoon, SCP-2996. You wanted to speak to me?
SCP-2996 walks slowly around its containment cell.
SCP-2996: I do not understand. How am I kept here?
Dr. Kidwell: Well, we’re currently utilizing a couple of different devices, prima-
SCP-2996: I am an unbound spirit! I do not understand, I am a being of revenge, and… (SCP-2996 trails off)
Dr. Kidwell: Yes, well… we have machines that can hold entities like yourself in containment. We want to learn more about you, where you came from, how you function.
SCP-2996: But… I am a spirit of hate, and-
Dr. Kidwell: …and we contained you, SCP-2996. I am willing to make some allowances for you, but I really do need your help first.
SCP-2996 is silent and no longer responds to questioning. Dr. Kidwell ends interview.
[END LOG]
Psychiatrist’s Note: I really do believe we’re making progress with SCP-2996. The subject no longer tends towards violence in its interactions, and might be willing to further communicate during additional interviews. I suggest we try to not stress the issue, but rather allow it to happen naturally.
Addendum 2996.4: Psychiatric Evaluation Interview 08/04/2012
+ Show Interview
Date: August 4th, 2012 Interviewer: Dr. Angela Kidwell Interviewee: SCP-2996
[BEGIN LOG]
Dr. Kidwell: When we talked last, SCP-2996, you were telling me how you felt about your containment, yes?
SCP-2996: I just… I feel like I got so much hate in me. I got a thing inside that wants me to squeeze the life out of Jimmy, but… I seen the evidence, doc. I read the reports you gave me.
Dr. Kidwell: I understand how difficult this might be for you, SCP-2996. That’s the purpose of our research, though. So we can try to offer you, and other entities like you, some sense of normalcy.
SCP-2996: (SCP-2996 is silent for a moment) Maybe you’re right. Maybe I was just so angry and so confused, dying didn’t settle anything. Maybe I did this, all of this, to myself.
Dr. Kidwell: I know this is hard for you. But this is a big step, and it’s one I think you need to take. You’ve been given a rare opportunity, to see past the anger and to start over.
SCP-2996: Do… do you think that’s true?
Dr. Kidwell: I do.
SCP-2996: (Smiles) Ok. I believe you.
[END LOG]
Addendum 2996.5: Final Notes 08/28/2012
+ Show Notes
After a number of therapy sessions with Dr. Kidwell and additional counselors on the Site-81 staff, SCP-2996 became significantly less prone to violent outbursts. Through her treatment she was able to come to terms with the events surrounding and resulting in her death, and was able to move past them.
On August 15th, 2012, SCP-2996 was given a final physiological examination, where it was determined that her anomalous qualities no longer existed. SCP-2996 was, by all accounts, a normal human girl.
As a result of this, on August 18th, 2012, SCP-2996 was determined to be “neutralized”. A final round of amnestic treatment was prepared while Site-81 staff sent a request to Overwatch Command that the child, previously SCP-2996, be released to a family desiring to adopt a child. The request was written by Dr. Kidwell, notarized by Dr. Bishop (Site-81 Head of Research), and signed by Director Aktus.
On August 28th, 2012, the request was approved. The child, renamed Samantha Pendleton, was released to a Foundation front adoption agency after a round of amnestic treatment.
