Aegon foresaw the end of the world of men. 'Tis to begin with a terrible winter gusting out of the distant north.
[I, Rickon Stark, Lord of Winterfell….]
Aegon saw absolute darkness riding on those winds. And whatever dwells within will destroy the world of the living.
When this Great Winter comes, Rhaenyra, all of Westeros must stand against it. And if the world of the men is to survive, a Targaryen must be seated on the Iron Throne. A king or queen strong enough to unite the realm against the cold and the dark.
Aegon called this dream "The Song of Ice and Fire". This secret it's been passed from king to heir since Aegon's time. And now you must promise to carry it and protect it.
...
I can't with the mention of a Lord of Winterfell in the middle of all that...
By Season 8 fucking up everything, it makes Daenerys entire journey worthless , all her sacrifices and prophecies and magical things she went through worthless! Her being necessary to come to Westeros to help stop the Night King worthless!! Now people can look back on her as they do all Targaryens: insane blood thirsty incest nepobabies conquers, who just want fight and burn everything for power 😭
(I’m thinking about this cause @aemondsbabygirl pointed out Daenerys murdered died 5 years ago today)
Sisterhood above all! DUNE: PROPHECY acts as a prequel to Denis Villeneuve's Dune movies, taking place 10,000 years before Paul Atreides. Check out my break down of the teaser trailer: https://youtu.be/SsNEGXAPm7E #DuneProphecy
Hot take: arguing Elia vs Lyanna is lame because they are both the unwilling victims. Why we blaming two dead women for the others death, instead of fucking Rhaegar?
"What fools we were, who thought ourselves so wise! The error crept in from the translation. Dragons are neither male nor female, Barth saw the truth of that, but now one and now the other, as changeable as flame. The language misled us all for a thousand years. Daenerys is the one, born amidst salt and smoke. The dragons prove it."
Being lazy and having zero desire to rewatch the show... does anyone remember how present the concept of the TPTWP prophecy was in the way the show presented Rhaegar, and how present Rhaegar was as a character in the show?
Because he’s a pretty big background deal and historical catalyst in the books. But I don’t remember him as that in the show, where the prophecy is mainly Melisandre’s pet project. I’m not sure they could have presented Rhaegar and Lyanna as anything other than “fools in love” in the show if they didn’t properly built up Rhaegar’s focus on creating the “three heads of the dragon” or his preoccupation with the prophecy beforehand.
But I’m not sure, because I can’t remember the details. Could anyone help me out?
