🍔🍟THE 2 TYPES OF CHEAT MEALS! ➖➖➖➖ 🎥SWIPE LEFT to hear me quickly break this down for you. ➖➖➖➖ Since the weekend is almost officially underway, I wanted to share a strategy my members and I use to enjoy the foods we love in moderation without sabotaging all of your hard work earlier in the week. ➖➖➖➖ There are 2 types of cheat meals: ➖➖➖➖ 1.) F*ck It Meals ➖➖➖➖ 2.) Flex Meals ➖➖➖➖ F*ck It Meals are when you literally say "F*ck It" and everything is fair game. This could be after a long period of really disciplined eating, part of a serious mass gain strategy, or for special occasions. Basically, you get sloppy AF. Though fun, this is risky behavior and often leads to binge eating. ➖➖➖➖ Flex Meals are where you stick with a #ProteinAndProduce foundation and add in a treat or two on top of it. In other words, you keep doing what you've been doing all week but you embrace your humanity and treat 'yo self in moderation! It's not as glutinous (or fun) but you'll walk away with less guilt and anxiety over what just transpired. ➖➖➖➖ Using the classic burgers and fries meal as an example... ➖➖➖➖ A F*ck It Meal would be burgers with the bun, the fries, and a shake. ➖➖➖➖ A Flex Meal would be burgers with lettuce wraps, the fries, and a diet soda. ➖➖➖➖ You'll get 2 very different responses from these 2 meals, both of which incorporate dietary flexibility. ➖➖➖➖ More often than not, especially if fat loss is the goal, the flex meal is what you should be using as it gives you just enough of a treat without overdoing it. ➖➖➖➖ Working in a few F*ck It Meals from time to time is cool too, as long as you don't abuse the privilege. But most people are leaving the results they're looking for on the table by f*cking it instead of just flexing it. 🤯I eat 2 #ProteinAndProduce meals like this per day. And then I get at least 30-40g of protein at 2 other times during the day. Feedings are spaced about 3-4 hours apart with the exception of breakfast 🍳 (my first meal of the day, whenever that may be). And there’s NO counting, measuring, tracking, feeding windows or other marketing gimmicks. It’s NOT Keto (you mean Atkins) or Paleo or whatever... it’s just good eating simplified with the wiggle room built-in to enjoy the foods 🍟 I love ❤️ in moderation. 🎥Swipe left ⬅️to hear a deep dive on one of the most commonly asked questions I get. And instead of complaining about how long the video is, just read the cliff notes below. ➖➖➖ In the short-term, I don't think you'll find a more effective fat loss diet than Keto. But if it's not sustainable, it's questionable. And I don't know anybody who has been on a long-term Keto diet who doesn't have an agenda like selling Keto diet books or Keto supplements. ➖➖➖ Here are the facts and they matter: ➖➖➖ 1.) All the research shows that as long as calories are held equal, the long-term weight loss success of any diet is pretty much the same. And the only diet that actually works is the one you can stick with. ➖➖➖ 2.) You don't need to go Keto (extreme low-carb or zero carb) to burn fat or access the fat-burning benefits of a lower-carb diet. Simply eating meals that are #ProteinAndProduce based 80% of the time and eliminating added sugar from your diet is a low enough carbohydrate stimulus to get your body using more stored fat for fuel. ➖➖➖ 3.) Within the category of produce (fruits and veggies), you can also select foods higher or lower in carbs based on THE PRODUCE PYRAMID (check out my infographic from earlier in the year on this). Essentially, eat mostly green veggies and a little fruit and reserve starchier veggies like potatoes for higher carb days. ➖➖➖ 4.) Carb Cycling is an ingenious way to access the fat-burning benefits of a lower carb diet without dealing with the many pitfalls of an extended low-carb diet (like obsessive eating, carb phobia, performance ruts, metabolic inflexibility, etc.). One way to carb cycle is to have higher carb days on resistance training days or highly active days and lower carb days on cardio or rest days. You can also incorporate lower carb weekdays and higher carb weekends like we do in my SUMMER SWOLE program at TheDailyBJ.com for more social eating lifestyles. ➖➖➖ 5.) The 3 most important factors in structuring a diet are total calories, total protein intake, and total produce intake. From there, you need to find out from trial and error the right blend of fat and carbs for your goals, eating personality, and body type. (at Malibu, California)

Each day's workout will be added the day before throughout this first week. ---------- This is a 2-Phase, 8-Week body recomposition program. The goal is neither to lose nor gain weight, but rather to add as much muscle and strength as possible without gaining any body fat (and possibly losing fat). It’s not to say that you won’t lose weight or gain weight, but that’s not the goal of this program and your bodyweight or scale weight is really an afterthought. FUCK THE SCALE! ---------- Though anybody can do the SUMMER SWOLE, it’s designed as the perfect followup plan to the 3-Phase Post-Holiday Shred (PHS) program. Like the PHS, it still features the key fundamentals of The Daily BJ Diet based on a foundation of #SimpleAssMeals, #ProteinAndProduce, and carb/calorie cycling. ---------- However, it breaks from the PHS by employing a unique WEEKDAY versus WEEKEND training & nutrition structure to promote simultaneous fat loss and muscle gain (or at the very least, muscle maintenance). ---------- The workouts during the week have more of a total body fat loss (SHRED) combined with lower-carb nutrition. You’ll also be doing significantly more core training than normal since many of you have requested more abs work. ---------- The workouts on Fridays & Saturdays have more of a muscle-building (GAINZ) emphasis with split upper and lower body workouts combined with higher-carb nutrition.
