A headcanon i have is that, before adults were banished from alternia, there were a lot of cultures and languages(some analagous to human cultures and languages bc im unoriginal) and basically what im getting at is my captor(and greater gold blood population) headcanon is that they are chinese(bc chinese language is very pretty and traditional chinese clothing as well)

often acts like. a sort of mythological figure of being a god in hiding. that classic story of an old hag secretly being a goddess testing the kindness of mortals.

72. Character headcanons?

gaaah I don't know I guess I wish I was better at coming up with fun and "homestuck humor" vibes headcanons, I really enjoy when people are able to come up with new elements that still feel at home in the established tone of homestuck.

Like in general I just really enjoy when people add alien characteristics to trolls, like weird body language that humans don't get, more way to communicate than just language, like noises and stuff like that. I love all that shit!

But as a sci fi lover and as a corny fan , the things my brain always goes back to is spaceeee and living on shipsss and xenobiology and stuff like that, so then all my headcanons are just not that relevant to the actual story of the comic or to the fandom LMAO.

One thing I do enjoy thinking about recently is the molting aspect of the trolls, especially if they all reach the last stage of their growth process at different times depending on their spot on the hemospectrum, and what that means in terms of preparation and societal expectactions and how do they deal with being out of it for a certain amount of time and completely at the mercy of everyone else for that time. I dunno !!!!! like I said, completely irrelevant.

I'm kind of a sucker for time skips in stories, or more specifically when characters are separated from the story for long periods of time due to getting lost outside of the main timeline or asleep or things like that, and then watching them come back to everyone else and trying to fit in again. I think that's why the molting aspect is interesting to me because , what if instead of taking a few days, for some of them it takes months or years even,,,, Scary.,,, crazy,,, Drama...

SIGNLESS AND PSIIONIIC WITH A HUMAN HEATER S/O

The Singless is actually fairly warm himself. Having a human blood color, he’s closer to having very similar temperature to what a human would have. However, that wouldn’t stop him from enjoying your company. He actually probably spends a lot of time just holding your hand: it’s soothing to him. As for you being so friendly, it’s really nice, because that makes it helpful for when he goes out in public for his speeches. You being around him is always so soothing.

As for the Psiionic, he also has a fairly warm temperature. Not as warm as what Signless would be, though. This makes it fairly easy for him to become cold. During the winter, it gets much colder than what he’s used to, so sometimes when he finishes a project he’s working on, he’ll come and flop onto you like a giant cat. You being friendly would also be a great contrast to him, because he’s probably fairly snarky. (Affectionately, of course.)
