His concept is based on the PSO2 Newman Gunner class. This was also my first attempt at a more painterly art style which I have yet to try again LOL

My WoL and main character is Valian Cenodel. Take into account that when I originally created the character in-game, I didn't know the naming rules for elezen. Her name comes from a long tradition of drow-like characters sharing the name Valian (mostly, both my PSO and my PSU characters were all drow-like newmans going by that name)

I could fill entire pages with the headcanons I have of her. Let's just leave it at the fact that she is a White Mage, Red Mage and Dragoon (and in the near future, a Paladin), and that she has enough trauma to fill several lives. Also, I pair her with Aymeric because... *looks at the Vault* well, reasons.

Baldur's Gate 3

Technically, this is a character that I created while getting ideas for what I call “mat characters” (as in, they are the mat I fall on when my other character dies) while playing a D&D 5e campaing. In this case, this is Luned Veladorn, a paladin of Eilistraee. Because now that there are no alignment restrictions for being a paladin, like hell I'm not making one. And since that campaing kinda... died, I put her in the game.

Luned was the daughter of a peasant couple in Menzoberranzan and she hadn't even reached ten years when her mother sold her to slavers for coin. The slavers travelled all the way to the surface, but when they were going to reach their destination, they were assaulted by a priest of Eilistraee and her entourage. The priest adopted her and gave her a new name (the one she carries to this day)

(I have a few more characters from the Forgotten Realms, if anyone is interested XD)

Genshin Impact

Because of the nature of this game, I have SEVERAL OCs, but these are the two that are more fleshed out. Images are not how I imagine them, just the nearest I could get with the generator I used.

The first one is Tamura Ouka, a young woman from Inazuma that fled the country the night before the Vision Hunt Decree started. She knew that the moment their parents thought there would be no consequences from stripping her from her Vision, they would do it. So she escaped, went to Sumeru, saw the crap that Akademiya was pulling, and left to join the Rangers.

The second one is Maurine (family name Adhelmar) who happens to be a Fontainian defense attorney who usually works for people who have been falsely accused. She is extremely good at her job and some of the tension that helps her cases is her supposed animosity towards Neuvillette (in reality, her hate is towards the Oratrice and the justice system, but hey, people can think whatever). Her backstory is that her abusive father commited a crime and promtly made it seem like her mother was the culprit. The mother was comdemned, and Maurine was put into her father's custody. She ended up demonstrating that her father had been the criminal, but by that time her mother had died at Meropide. So yeah, she's not a happy person.

(I'm still fleshing out my OC for Honkai Star Rail. Half the time she's the female version of Wanderer and the other half she's some kind of space oni)

I have OCs for other videogames and series, but I would probably scare the crap out of my few readers so... I'll leave it at that. Feel free to ask anything about the characters or about any show/game you may think I have an OC for.

eyes and hair, as well as accessories! i consider certain design aspects of my self inserts very iconic, like marian's little glasses and agnatha's capelet, and madelon's side braid (which mysteriously switches sides depending on the angle i draw them at... like a video game sprite almost)

through my design process for self inserts i usually start with an idea, and that idea includes something that sticks out to me and stays with all iterations of their design. i plan to make a new design for marian post-episode i where they ditch the fomarl outfit, since they aren't even human - they would be a fonewearl or fonewm (pso classes are decided by playstyle/race/binary gender unfortunately, so i picked a class i enjoyed playing and liked the outfits for and then tied the rest of their lore into that. they're a sort of 'pseudo newman' who has more subtle pointy ears and used only one specific human as a genetic template, which is where the name marian comes from)

Grim (Metal Sonic) : At last. I'm finally back where I was, inside this metallic body of mine. So it seems, Sonic manages to save the princess from Eggman's clutches again, but eventually, Star Fox team went on the case to rescue Sonic and Elise from the Falling Egg Carrier that might be the cause of Mephiles' manipulation, or perhaps the Solaris Incident is effecting 2006 even more than it was.

Moirai : When it comes to Apparoids, they make me sick.

??? : So, you must be Maka Albarn, A so-called hero of Soul World that existed within the Real World, how noble that you managed to stay alive by being the most overdeveloped person on the planet.

Magashi : Allow me to introduce you to myself. I am Renvolt Magashi of the Endrum Collective.

Magashi : I am not from the place that you call it PSO. We are from the Gurhal System, a place inhabited by humans and their creations...Casts--Newman--Beasts. And least not forget, 500 years ago, Gurhal had a war among the four races in a never ending conflict. So after peace lasted about 100 years, darkness has begun to awakened and shattered Gurhal's peace.

Maka : Hey, wait a sec. Gurahl...Four races...500 year-old war. You're from PSU!

Magashi : (chuckles) Correct. PSU, the successor to PSO. And I believe it's stands for...

Maka : "Pennsylvania State Universe?"

Moirai : Portalnd State Univerity or PSU stands for...

Grim (Metal Sonic) : No...PSU stands for "Power Supply Unit", but it also stands for "Phantasy Star Universe."

Magashi : You catch on quickly. PSU does stands for Phantasy Star Universe.

Grim (Metal Sonic) : Another Sega Representative from another Sonic Team title. PSU was released before the worst game made for sonic was ever released into the atmosphere.

Magashi : So let me guess this. 2006 might been an awful year for the blue blur himself. Ever since the last server for PSO was shutdown by the officials, the original PSO remained in it's private servers after the last episode of PSO, NPCs or the group called the Good guys have been retired their selves as heroes and peace to Ragol has been restored. And now, when 2006 came, I Renvolt Magashi finally made my appearance as the newest villain to the Phantasy Star title. A new Dark Falz that has awakened himself to bring out threats to Real World Au and devastation to the planets. We call these organic things that we call it SEED, spread by PSU's own Dark Falz himself, Codename : Dulk Fakis. A creature that will swallow Gurhal and it's galaxy whole by the darkness itself.

Grim (Metal Sonic) : A star system and a galaxy swallowed by the darkness? I know who that might be. Two people that are villainous psychopaths of Gurhal, Karl F. Howzer and Helga Noimann. (Gary meows) Whoops. I mean " Helga Neumann". Two villainous psychopaths that are humans of Gurhal who wanted to swallow Gurhal and it's planets whole to the Darkness so that they can get away with murder. without, Gurhal, or without the three planets, Phantasy Star Universe will never be the same, before Portable.

Maka : That's crazy! Two human beings that are genocidal sociopaths that wanted to bring an attempt of genocide or omnicide on the planets! That's murder!

Magashi : (laughs evilly) What did you expect, girl? Although that the truth lies within you has seems to be struggling with you. There is no Madness in the Ohkuboverse neither a being you call it a Kishin. Although the Lying of Shinra Kusakabe hurts even more often to you than the truth itself . The purpose of defeating a god has nothing to do with courage, the one gift that you brought from other heroes like Kirby or Shinra Kusakabe. I let you and Nights to use that kind of courage so that the true powers of Darkness should never suspect Demon Vibe's real intentions on taking over this pathetic galaxy, or destroying the rest of the planets that turns this galaxy into a gigantic piles of space dust!

*DBZ SFX : Energy Warbling*

Magashi : Clever Ethan! You profound yourself on saving the galaxy, more than saving the world. But it will be the last to the planet covered in darkness. Whether will it be Dark Nebula or Dulk Fakis that is going to rule the entire galaxy!

Karen : You okay there, young ma'am?

Maka : Who are you?

Karen Erra : I'm Karen Erra and I'm with Ethan Waber, the man who is my trainee! And that is the reason that I'm putting a stop to Magashi's recklessness.

Maka : I thought Ethan was just a kid who works alone.

Karen Erra : Not just him. Us as well.

Maya : I'm with Ethan's side.

Magashi : Just as I expected, the Guardians! But I'm tired fighting a bunch of heroes like you all the time. Don't expect Howzer and Helga ever to come destroying the likes of you all, and especially you, Ethan.

Ethan : You'd wish.

Magashi : Heh. It doesn't matter. I'm going to postpone our fight to the SEED Hive, you'll just be part of the demise when Dulk Falkis or Dark Nebula covers the planet in darkness! Farewell, Ethan Waber! (throws Smoke bomb) *BOOM!*

Ethan : Magashi! Darn it! He must've went off to the SEED Hive! We can't let that happen!

Maka Albarn : So you guys are PSU?

Ethan : Of course, we are PSU after all. I'm Ethan Waber, and these guys are the GUARDIANS. You must be the Grim Reaper of Mobius.

Grim (Metal Sonic) : Yes, I am Death God of Mobius, Grim. And I owe you and your comrades my gratitude for saving this girl's life.

Ethan : It's all in a days work. So much for the good guys that usually worked for PSO.

Grim (Metal Sonic) : This is Maka Albarn, a descendant to the Phantonian Race. Nobody would imagine that a girl with a deadly force within her heart and soul would bring all that destruction casued by her anger and sadness that combines frustration to trigger the shattered resonance.

Maya : Wow. A girl who wiped out 80% of Japan's population? What an interesting fact that a child like her would be the cause for the death and destruction of all humanity on Real World earth. Is there a reason why she was confused and frustrated over the reason for not being a hero to Soul World?

Grim (Metal Sonic) : About three years ago, when my units of the Hang Castle Security Force found out that a 70-year old demon queen was escaped from imprisonment, Maka was the only a child that nobody ever wanted and was the outcast by many in Japan, but a boy named Makoto was the only one who ever wanted her.

Hyuga : And so does the main crew of Soul World, what she friends with the main crew of Soul World?

Grim (Metal Sonic) : The only member of the Soul Eater crew was Soul Evans whom she first met in San Francisco, but he recently broken up with her when I ordered my men to capture and secure her in order to be hidden from the public eye. I guess she could say that her heart belongs to somewhere besides others, it could Makoto's or Soul's.

Moirai : [referring to her previous boyfriend] Humph, men! Always be the jerk of our kind! They should known about Gender Equalities by now. Now everyone knows that my sister is in a love triangle!

Grim (Metal Sonic) : We were on our way to stop Dark Nebula from ever covering the galaxy in everlasting darkness by reclaiming his title as Ruler of the Underworld. Where you people exactly headed to?

Played an old favourite of mine at the weekend. Loved playing Phantasy Star Online as a kid, and still do as an adult! Can't imagine how many hours I've poured into my adorable Fonewearl, Sephi.

One of my favorite series in terms of character design is Phantasy Star, specifically Phantasy Star Online Episode 1 and 2, and Phantasy Star 0

I haven't found a series that's hit almost every box on my list of aesthetics besides this one, it's the perfect blend of fantasy and scifi.

I played PSO for gamecube back when I was a little kid at my friends house, and the character creation in particular was so awesome to me. Later I got PS 0 on Nintendo DS which is one of my favorite games still, though the character creation is more limited.

The design of the clothes are so unique, I would say the closest comparison would be to the designs in .hack (another of my favorite games on the PS2)

I recently bought PSO 1 +2 after so many years, and while the game has aged a bit, I'm excited to play it some more when I get free time. I remember it being really fun! If anything I will get some ideas for creating new outfits for my characters with the same fantastically alien designs.

It's a shame that PSO2 is only in Japanese, though I've heard there is an English patch somewhere that I may check out.

Phantasy Star Online New Genesis combat reveal and analysis WEAPON FUSION

The ingredients to make my current character combine the love of the older games in the Phantasy Star RPG series, the fond memories of Phantasy Star Online, and some personality. Let's get into it.

Nei, Rika, and Sue are characters in Phantasy Star II, IV and Online respectively. My class in PSO was a HUnewearl. A hunter that can still use techs. Nei and Rika do this in the older games. I wanted to focus more on support however as I've been leaning into support roles in Overwatch and Final Fantasy XIV respectively. In the latter game, I use a White Mage. 

Another character I liked throughout the older games is Noah in the first Phantasy Star, but later known as Lutz. He would return for the second game and in the fourth game, there is a character Rune Walsh who is later revealed to be a fifth generation Lutz. Lutz is significant because of his support role and white robes, or in Rune's case a white cape. Both characters have blue hair. 

All of the above got me thinking. For a class, I will be a Techter as my primary class for support purposes. However, I also need to be able to handle myself in battle, so Hunter subclass it is. Female Te/Hu. Race must be Newman since all the ladies above are. Plus, I played a female in the original Phantasy Star Online. These were the reasons. 

To represent the male side with a female character we turn to hair color. Blue and pink make purple. Nei has purple hair. Not original. Blue and purple make a blue-violet. Win. We're missing a important part here. A character name. Jean was the name in PSO and it is a bit too plain for me now. Here's where the personality kicks in.

In a post on here sometime back, I used a picture of Demi from Phantasy Star IV as a way to state I am demisexual. I found the following looking up the word demi.

Demi- is a prefix that means half, partially, or something that is slightly inferior. The prefix demi– is derived from the Old French word demi meaning half, derived from the Latin word dimidius. The prefix demi– is not seen nearly as often as the prefixes hemi– and semi-.

I like that it can refer to being inferior, or perhaps incomplete. Vulnerability. I like that latin word dimidius. I ran with it but it sounded masculine. I made it dimidia instead which kept the same meaning and made it feminine upon further research.

In one fell swoop, I represented a good portion of the older Phantasy Star games, made a female character to represent what I played in the original Phantasy Star Online, and injected personality into the name of this character. Dimidia was born.

Mission accomplished.

Rico : Flowen...Why...Why did you come back to me?

Flowen : I realized that Dr.Osto was a foolish moron, after my death, my body was taken to the Seabed and that man turmed into a hellish beast they call me "Olga Flow". Unfortunately, Dr.Osto had made a terrible and serves him right for turning me into a creature. He got what he finally deserve.

Rico : Flowen...I understand that I'm a young girl. Look, all scientists make their mistakes and I was the first HUmarl to break the seal of Dark Falz and I was complete nut case for discovering the mysteries Ragol, I realized that the Ancient Ruins on Ragol we discovered was actually a hi-tech spacecraft owned by Falz himself. So he captured me and devoured me as his personal host to become the great and powerful Dark Falz again. I was trapped within him ever since.

Flowen : Guess we all died after Dark Falz destroyed Pioneer 1's population, colonizing the planet was a bad idea. All the inhabitants on Pioneer 2 think we're dead, well guess. It's their fault or it's humanity's fault that we were the cause of all of this! We got infected with the D-Cells in our bodies, and of course, one Newman elf girl was the one to have the power of a D-Cells user. That user's name was Rupika FOnewearl.

Heero Yuy : Rupika was the Elf Girl to have D-Cells in her body? I guess this is what Humanity feels like that if they were an arrogant species to Dark Falz's kind so that he would get away of destroying Ragol, by creating one explosion, and BOOM! that's how PSO started in the first place. This was all just a cover up from the men of influence, they hid the from both of you. You all died and there was many mysteries about Ragol's secrets.

Rico Tyrell : Why thank you. I understand that we've been puppets to D-Cells too! Dark Falz, how can I ever forgive him like this?

Flowen : Rico...

Rico Tyrell : (in awe)...Flowen. We are finally reunited at last. This is truly been a moment. And now, our reward to our last moment before we die. (attempted to kiss each other)

Group : Ahem!

Heero Yuy : Save the hugs and kisses for later, would you?

Rico : (blushes) R...Right!

Heero Yuy : So where would you be at for the reincarnation?

(scene changes)

"A few days later..."

Heero Yuy : This is where the spirits of you two resides?

Rico Tyrell : Of course! I believe this place at the Ruins of Ragol. This monument righ here, is part of the Ruins. And this is where we Like to get Married sometimes.

Flowen : Marriage? What part in particular is that?

Rico Tyrell : (blushes) Well...you know? Although, I could be your wedded wife sometimes I would be the bride and you would be the groom.

Flowen : Really? That would make me a husband. Hey, where did you get some crazy idea like that?

Rico Tyrell : I got a ring, but although we're still spirits and we don't have our original bodies anymore. We should do something with souls not being depleted. I wonder if we could get ourselves tied a knot or something it's like a marriage is possible for us to handle the spirits of the dead! Oh my, what am I going to do!? I can't remember anything! Oh! I'm such a girl who hasn't had any plans to. If players would remove our spirit, who's going to look after the monument?! I'm still a living spirit! There's no one look after to mourn our loss nor will be gone when anybody is upset!

Flowen : Rico. You're a great girl, and a great hunter. I've do known you for a quite some time, but it's good that we might be a something-something, How do I put this in one particular way? Maybe we being hunters and missing persons does sound like an NPC, but the players keeps on messing our spirits.

Rico Tyrell : Should we keep this a secret from my father?

Flowen : Why yes. Of course.

Quatre : Well, I'm not in the mood for a ghostly smooching, but I wonder why can we spirits from our views and that has ability to see other spirits?

Wufei : Maybe for it's the best that it's like some people do not believe in ghosts, fairies, or aliens.

Quatre : Wufei, please let's not talk about the whoel alien thing, that's what makes humanity becoming an arrogant species.

Wufei : Oh right. Well, since we stopped those infested monsters that are Olga and Falz, we decided to head back to the real world and consider the Falz Monument as a home for you two.

Rico Tyrell : I guess we decided to live at this monument as a home to us.

Flowen : I guess living here as spritis, would be a thing to call "home" after all. Let's all agree on that.

Rico Tyrell : Agree.

Heero Yuy : Alright, guys. Through those door that are cartoon logic.

*MGS SFX : CODEC RINGING*

Heero Yuy : What's this?

Meer Campbell (via radio) : Hello! This Meer Campbell from Gundam Seed! We have a widespread emergency going on here in Real World AU. the Space Colony ARK is now being infested with Heartlesses since the Colony's incident and the Black Arms Invasion 10 years ago! I can't believe that it's happening! First the Biolizard, then the Black Arms, now this!? I don't know what's going on with the ARK today. Everyone! Head back to the Real World and get to the Space Colony ARK, immediately! (heartlesses laughs evilly) And beat it! These heartlesses are planning to--*TV BUZZING*

Heero Yuy : That was Meer Campbell. She said that the Space Colony ARK Is infested with Heartlesses? I believe this must've been someone's doing!

Quatre : Damn! So fighting the bosses of PSO was all this for nothing!? Back to the facility, everyone! [Quatre runs to the door on the left and enters it] Hey, what door is this leading me to?

[FLAMES WHOOSHING!]

Quatre : [exits and is shown covered in ashes] Let me guess, that's not a wood-burning pizza oven was it?

Rico Tyrell : Oops, I forgot. That's the door leading to the Dome Dweller, it's the nickname for a Dragon that was inside of the Central Dome. Use the door on the right. That'll get you back to the facility.

Quatre : Okay, I got it. [opens door on to the right and enters it, along with the group]

Wufei : Hope anyone knows that the door leading on the left is not really a can opener.

Trowa : You got that right.

Heero Yuy : Best of luck.

Rico Tyrell : I'm glad that's over with.

Flowen : Same to you.

Rico Tyrell : I wonder what were going to reincarnate into?

Flowen : Let's find out! (Rico holds onto his arm) Huh?

Rico : You know, I guess single reincarnation wouldn't hurt. But we are going to reincarnate into our own son.

Flowen : Reincarnate into our own son? What does that even...(realizing) Oh no. Please don't tell me we're going to reincarnate into-

Endu : -A dude!? This is the reincarnation that I get?! God Damn it! (throws Rico's Red Ring on the ground) Thanks a lot, Mom and Dad! (shrugs) Eh, worth a shot. I'm still Endu the HUmar and that's final that I'm really the son of Flowen Rico. It doesn't matter, I'm going over to the ARKZ sides in Episode 3 on the Gamecube. (leaves) Stupid Sega.

Rico's voice : Well, at least he was nice of us to call me his Mother, which makes you the father.
