Greetings from the Pioneers - June 30th, 1996.
"Launched in the early 1970s, Pioneer 10 and 11 were appropriately named - becoming the first spacecraft to travel through the asteroid belt, first to fly by Jupiter and Saturn, and the first human artifacts to venture beyond the Solar System. Having coasted through interstellar space, they carried with them greetings in the form of a gold anodised plaque, with symbolic drawings as illustrated above. The male and female figures are drawn to the same scale as the Pioneer spacecraft shown behind them. Immediately to the left is a map of the position of the Sun with respect to nearby pulsars and the center of the galaxy, while below is a drawing of the Solar System, indicating the planet of origin. In the upper left is a schematic of two fundamental states of the hydrogen atom. These diagrams, along with other details of the plaque, were designed by Carl Sagan of Cornell University, and are intended to be decipherable by spacefaring extraterrestrial civilisations."

Prompt: just a highly tattooed Beatrice. Anything. Maybe she’s in a band, maybe it goes to her teenage rebellion, maybe it’s your dads au and Bea always wears sleeves and one day Ava finally sees her ink… idk. Anything with tattooed Bea.
thanks for the prompt!
//
Beatrice hasn't worn short sleeves in the time Ava has been back.
True, it's closing in on winter, but Malaga in November is barely any cooler than Brienz had been in June, and back then Beatrice had taken every possible opportunity to go sun's out, guns out.
Ava watches, curious, for some sort of sign, some clue to what Beatrice is keeping under wraps. She's been back for a week, almost, and they've kissed in quiet corners and in the back of the chapel, and once, in a fit of daring, in the confessional, Ava in Beatrice's lap admitting to myriad sins ("the Bloody Marys sold well, I just hated making them" and "I bought us new towels because I used ours to try and smother a stovetop fire" and "I spent half our time in Switzerland trying not to touch myself to the thought of you").
But they haven't gone any further than furtive makeouts and some over-the-clothes heavy petting – which, she has to remind herself, would be a mind-blowing development for June Ava. And Beatrice hasn't even rolled up her sleeves, which… The thought of Beatrice's forearms had constituted, like, a solid 64% of Ava's will to live while on the other side, but it's fine. She's fine. She can be very cool, very normal and definitely would absolutely not suffer if she never got to see Beatrice's forearms again.
She'd be totally fine.
It's on day seven post-return that Beatrice slips up. She's been waist-deep in a van's engine compartment in between shouting matches with Mary across the garage, and stray curls of hair are slicked to her forehead with sweat. She rubs at her face and then frowns, unbuttons the placket at her wrist and starts to roll up her right sleeve. Ava feels like a Victorian gentleman about to pass out over the mere sight of a sliver of skin. She doesn't mean to, but she takes a step forward over the threshold of the garage, drawn towards the revelation of Beatrice's bare skin like a moth towards a flame.
There's a faint blue glow that grows brighter as Ava approaches, and Beatrice's head snaps up. She fumbles with her sleeve for a moment, an adorable crease between her eyebrows, but the cuff is caught on the knob of her elbow. She settles for linking her hands behind her back instead.
"Ava!" She chirps far too brightly for someone Ava had heard calling Mary a 'piece of fucking work' not two minutes past.
Ava takes another step closer. "Beatrice," she replies, soft. She'd raise a hand, but this already feels far too much like approaching a wild animal.
Apt enough, though, as Beatrice's eyes very noticeably flick towards the exit. "Show me," she says, just as gently.
Beatrice's shoulders droop. "You would have found out sooner or later," she concedes. "It was only a delay of the inevitable in the hopes I would be better prepared to discuss it by the time the conversation arose."
She swings her arms forward, left hand finding the pocket of her coveralls, right coming out in front of her until her forearm is on display for Ava.
It's a starburst shining divinium blue, a double handful of lines broken by tick marks emanating from a central black point. Ava can't help herself, doesn't want to stop herself from reaching out and dragging a fingertip down one of the lines. Beatrice's skin is warm beneath Ava's touch and the divinium sparks bright in response to the Halo's nearness.
"What is it?"
Beatrice clears her throat. "Pulsars are spinning neutron stars that blink on and off like lighthouses. When the Pioneer 10 and 11 spacecraft were launched, they were sent bearing a plaque with this map on it – a map of the position of known pulsars relative to our sun. A map of lighthouses, guiding the observer here." She taps the central dot. "That's here, that's home, that's us," she says, in that slightly removed tone Ava associates with the oh-so-common occurrence of a 'Quotes with Beatrice' event. "On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives." Beatrice inhales shakily. "It was stupid, really, but I thought maybe it would help guide you back to us. Back to me. Back home."

“Are you trying to get us all killed?”
The timebreaker sneezes into his elbow. He’s covered in a fine layer of dust. The chains strapping him to the seat didn’t survive the crash, but he won’t get far either way: his timepiece remains safely hidden in your pocket.
You ignore him and survey the wreckage in front of you. There’s very little left of your spacecraft. Dawdling will only cost you precious time, and you’re not sure how much longer you can keep the flames at bay.
A few crumpled feathers stick out from under the rubble. You pull with two hands, using your weight to unearth your equally crumpled associate.
“It’s not like I can actually die, of course. I think. Not really. I’m not afraid of death anyway,” the timebreaker continues. “He looks pretty damn done for, though.”
You turn around and fiddle with what’s left of the control panel. Your partner coughs up thick globs of blood. He wipes his mouth with the back of one wing and straightens his glasses. "Hey, did you fall from heaven when you hurt—fuck."
“Welcome back,” you mutter. The control panel lights up once and fizzles out again.
“Have you seen my hat?”
“This, here?” The timebreaker lifts one foot and your partner snatches the weathered cowboy hat from under his boot. “Sorry, I thought it was just a piece of debris. I didn’t mean to step on it.”
You snort. “Yunho’s awfully attached to that ugly old thing.” After a repeated bang on the control panel yields no results, you give up and grab your pocket pulsar. “Didn’t they go out of style over 600 billion years ago?”
“Real fashion is timeless,” Yunho says. “Besides, it's a keepsake from Earth.”
You roll your eyes. “Ugh. You’re such a romantic.”
He winks at you. Behind you, the timebreaker coughs. “I’m still here.”
A glare shuts him up. Your many eyes tend to have that effect on people.
“Which way do we go?” Yunho asks.
You check your pulsar. “We should head southwest for about 11 kilometres. We’re not that far off. You did a decent job crashing the ship.”
“Thank you.”
“You think you can walk with that leg?”
“I’m fine, but it might take us a bit longer. Do you still have time?”
You nod. “I do. But the big boss won’t like it. You know his patience runs thin.”
“We’re bringing him a timebreaker! He ought to be happy with that.”
Your eyes drift towards the man who’s still staring at the wreckage, appearing to be lost in thought—no doubt mourning what might’ve been his only chance at escaping.
“You’re right. Let’s go before the weather gets any worse.”
Above you the glittery storm clouds gather. With just your pocket pulsar left, navigating will be a lot more difficult if you don't cross the Great Plateau before the first rain falls.
“So… you two are angels, then?” The timebreaker asks when the silence drags on for a bit too long.
“Damn right,” Yunho says. “Ever met an angel before?”
The timebreaker shakes his head. “Can't say I've had the pleasure, no. They—I mean you, sorry—don’t exist in my universe.”
You grumble. He's awfully polite for a man who killed half a planet of innocents. “Just because you've never seen one doesn't mean we aren't there.”
The timebreaker’s face turns sour. You don’t care if he doesn’t like you. There's more pressing matters to worry about: right now it's the unshakeable sizzling in your ears, the sound growing stronger with every step.
You rub your temples but the gesture brings no relief. Yunho watches you closely, rummaging through his coat pockets. After some fiddling he extracts a small bottle and hands it to you. He always seems to know exactly what you need. You down the liquid and make a mental note to thank him for that after you’ve finished this job.
“Why does he have wings and you don’t? And what’s up with all the eyes?”
Your nostrils flare in annoyance and you’re thankful for the sudden crack of thunder that makes your captive jump. “No more time for existential chit-chat,” you say. The taste of ash lingers in your mouth.
“If you give me my timepiece back I can get us off this planet,” the timebreaker offers. He almost trips over his feet in an attempt to keep up with you and Yunho. “Another universe maybe, just for the two of you? Something beachy? Sun, Martinis, a nice big bed, a few slaves to preen those pretty wings?”
You laugh and look at Yunho’s tattered feathers, still covered in dried blood. "If you're trying to manipulate us, it's not working."
“Are we still heading in the right direction?” Yunho asks. He looks mildly flattered but not at all phased by the timebreaker’s implications, so you narrow your eyes at him. All he does in return is smile. If you weren't in the middle of a job you'd use his own wings to wipe that smug grin off his face.
“We’re slowly getting there," you sigh, handing him the pulsar.
“We’re heading away from the capital. The only civilised place on this planet.” The timebreaker glances past Yunho’s shoulder and points his cuffed hands at the device. His voice raises an octave when you start walking even faster. “Hey! What did I do wrong anyway? Since when is breaking time a crime? And who are you, the space police?”
“You didn’t tell him?” Yunho asks.
You shrug. “The less he knows, the better.” It’s a lie. It doesn’t matter: you just didn’t feel like talking to the man.
“I’m sorry for my partner’s lack of proper protocol,” Yunho starts, and you close your many eyes for a moment to collect yourself and tune out the other angel’s lecture. The situation is starting to get on your nerves and you wonder if the flames have ignited by now. They probably haven’t—neither of your companions seem to perceive a sudden increase in heat.
When you open your eyes again, the timebreaker’s face has gone blank.
“And that’s how we ended up here!” Yunho smiles and claps his hands together, as if he didn’t just give a detailed account of why the man will spend the remainder of his life in chains. “Any questions?”
“I—what the fuck,” the timebreaker says, “have more questions now than before.”
Yunho opens his mouth but you cut him off. Unlike the other angel, God didn’t bless you with the patience of a saint when They created you. “No one cares about obnoxious fools who run around universes breaking time. Killing innocents however? The boss doesn’t like that.”
The timebreaker tilts his head towards you. “Who’s this boss you keep talking about? God?”
You laugh. “So you’re a fool and uncultured.”
He looks ready to murder you. You’d like to see him try; it would spice things up a bit.
Your partner shakes his head, a small smile tugging at his lips. “God died a long time ago. No, we call him the Captain.”
At the mention of his name the storm clouds rupture and shimmering glitter falls from the sky. You blink up at the sudden burst of colour.
Suspicious.
“Dammit,” you curse, “we’re not even close.” You shake the pulsar, which buzzes sadly in the steady stream of luminescent sparkles. You huff and a small puff of smoke escapes your nose.
Yunho squeezes your shoulder. “Do you think you can do it here, if needed?”
“It’s not ideal, but I can manage. The harvesting will be a pain, though. The soil is too muddy.”
“We can work something out. I trust you.” Yunho’s hand drops to his side and you miss its warmth already. Then he jumps in front of you, causing you to nearly barrel head-first into his chest. He spreads his wings and grins, “This is the skin of a killer, Bella.”
“Shut up.” You push him out of your way, suppressing a smile and trying not to look at the pretty glitter covering him from head to toe. Some of your eyes steal a glance anyway. “Vampires aren’t real.”
He’s still laughing. “For someone who pretends to hate Earth you sure know a lot about it. Who’s the romantic now?”
You don’t respond and push past him, aiming the pulsar at the glittery sky. Yunho doesn’t seem to mind your feigned disapproval and falls back at your side, his comforting presence grounding you like always. As annoying as he can be, you need him there. You’d trust him with your life.
“I miss humans sometimes. It’s a shame they went extinct.” Yunho turns towards the timebreaker. “She was there, you know. During Armageddon. It was angels versus demons… pretty cool. I wasn’t old enough to join the fight yet. I’ve only heard the stories.” He elbows you in the side. “Tell him about it.”
You groan. “There was a lot of fire. The end.”
The timebreaker raises an eyebrow. “What happened to the demons?”
“They were wiped out.”
“That seems to be a recurring theme.”
You turn your head and grin at him. “You could call it our… speciality.”
For the first time since you’ve dragged him from his universe, the timebreaker looks afraid. A shiver runs through him and his sharp teeth clatter. “I thought angels were supposed to be harbingers of peace. Chubby babies chanting glorias to God and all that stuff.”
“We were tasked to maintain the cosmic harmony of all universal laws,” you shrug, “but no one ever told us how to mete out divine justice.”
“You could say we’re just winging it.” Yunho grins. “Get it?”
The timebreaker doesn’t laugh. The crease between his brows deepens. “So let me get this straight: when you wipe out an entire planet it’s fine, but when I do it—” he huffs, an indignant sound, “—I get thrown in jail?”
You shrug again. “Collateral damage. It happens.”
“Fuck this,” the timebreaker says. Then he starts running. It only takes a few metres for his form to completely disappear in the downpour of glitter.
“Took him long enough.” Yunho takes the pulsar from your hands to save if from melting and sticks it in his pocket. “Are you ready?”
His glasses reflect an orange glow and you laugh. You know he loves this part of the job as much as you do. He can have this. “Go get him, partner.”
The angel spreads his wings and points at you. “I’m taking you out for dinner after,” he says. Then he disappears into the void.
You draw patterns in the fallen glitter with one smoky foot and start counting. People tend to underestimate your partner by virtue of his angelic aura. They’re always wrong.
It doesn’t take him long to return. The timebreaker shrieks when he sees you. “What the fuck happened to her?” He trashes in your partner’s arms. “I’ve got a family! Friends! They’ll come looking for me!”
“26 seconds. Not bad,” you comment dryly.
“They will come!”
“Over there would be perfect.” You point at a spot a few metres away. “Thank you, Yunho.”
Your partner puts the captive down and pats him on the shoulder. He doesn’t run this time. Where would he go, hands bound, without a timepiece and with two angels on his heels? Maybe he wasn’t as foolish as you thought. Some of them keep running.
“It’s going to be okay,” your partner says. It won’t be. “I’m sure you’ll be dearly missed. I can already picture the memorial service. Lots of flowers, sad piano music... it's going to be beautiful.”
The timebreaker pales. It appears he’s finally caught up on the plan. “What happened to jail? A proper trial?” He blinks twice, then recovers some of his rage and spits at Yunho, “You’ll regret this. My family will hunt you down and kill you both. They'll rip out your feathers one by one until there's none left.”
Yunho pushes his glasses higher up his nose. “‘I’m not afraid of death anyway’, you said.”
“I wasn’t—”
“Don’t worry, death doesn’t have to be temporary. Some of us believe in reincarnation.” Yunho lowers his voice, knowing you can’t hear him over the roaring fire around you. “Not her, of course. She believes in total annihilation.” He gives the man one last gentle pat on the back before stepping away.
“No one but you has mentioned jail.” You have to raise your voice because of the ringing in your ears. “And your family will find a shipwreck, remember? Such an unfortunate accident.”
“Extremely unfortunate,” Yunho agrees.
The timebreaker doesn’t answer. His skin has turned the colour of grey mud. You feel the flames rise even higher, inching closer to him.
Finally.
The last thing the timebreaker sees before the flames engulf him is the sky breaking open. You wrap around him and burn until there’s nothing left but a heap of sand and glitter.
Yunho retrieves an empty hourglass from his pocket and crouches down to fill it with sand. “The Captain’s gonna be happy,” he says while he pours more grains in the glass. "Look at the size of that pile!"
You suppress a yawn and shiver. You always get a little cold after the fire has gone down to a simmer.
“Chinese sound good to you? For old time’s sake?” Yunho hands you the hourglass and wraps a wing around your shoulder. “I know a place.”
You elbow him in the side and smile. “Romantic.”

Meiser 1 | Vintage Photo Gravure (1959). Better known as the Crab Nebula, Charles Messier originally mistook Messier 1 for Halley’s Comet, which inspired him to create his famous Catalogue des Nébuleuses et des Amas d'Etoiles.
In 1054, Chinese astronomers took notice of a “guest star” that was, for nearly a month, visible in the daytime sky. The “guest star" they observed was actually a supernova explosion, which gave rise to the Crab Nebula, a six-light-year-wide remnant of the violent event. The glowing relic has been expanding since the star exploded, and it is now approximately 11 light-years in width.
References to the star’s supernova explosion are also found in a later (13th-century) Japanese document, and in a document from the Islamic world. Furthermore, there are a number of proposed references from European sources recorded in the 15th century, as well as a pictograph associated with the Ancestral Puebloan culture found near the Peñasco Blanco site in New Mexico, United States. The pyramids at Cahokia in the midwestern United States may have been built in response to the supernova’s appearance in the sky.
Link to view additional info and far more spectacular Hubble images of the glowing relic, including the nebula’s beating heart: the rapidly spinning pulsar at its core:

Nice job to everyone who participated this year! If I didn't include a certain piece here, it isn't because I didn't like it, just wanted to include some highlights.
This year's been a blast! Though I haven't participated as much as I'd like to (due to stress n other projects), I'm so flattered to have been attacked by some amazing people! Not to mention that it has been quite encouraging seeing how I have improved as an artist over the past year. Much of my creative juices flowing can be attributed to me following some advice from the lovely mag-the-pie, so yipee for that!
I'll keep on trucking over the year with my creative endeavors, so look forward to that. Can't wait for Art Fight 2025!

Ok, here I go!
About a year and a half ago, I became completely obsessed with space (I even wanted to be an astronaut and/or astronomer, hehe). I would spend hours and hours watching documentaries and series about it, and it was literally the only thing I could talk about. Time passed, and I've had other obsessions since then, but I still always seize any opportunity to explain random and usually useless facts about space (which are only useful in very specific situations), thanks to the obsession of my 10/11-year-old self. Since my friends didn't want to listen (they better not dare ask me for help with science), I'm going to share what I’ve already mentioned and continue from there:
Did you know that the Sun is a giant nuclear fusion reactor?
Nuclear fusion is when the nuclei of atoms merge, creating an exponential amount of energy!
Stars convert deuterium (a type of hydrogen) into helium-3.
Humans haven't yet managed to achieve nuclear fusion because it requires a huge amount of energy to bring atoms together.
What we do with atomic bombs and nuclear reactors is nuclear fission.
Fission is breaking the nucleus of the atom, causing a chain reaction where everything breaks apart.
In reactors, this is controlled.
But in a bomb, it's deliberately left out of control.
That's also why stars die.
Their fuel isn't infinite.
And when it runs out, stars start fusing helium atoms, which reduces their size; this is the case for stars with less than four times the mass of the Sun.
Stars with more than four times the mass of the Sun either become supernovas (a cosmic explosion that leaves a nebula behind) or black holes—I think.
Scientists estimate that about 1/4 (I think) of all stars have planets, and among those, 1/4 should be in the habitable zone! This means it's unlikely that we're alone in the universe.
The habitable zone is the orbit around a star that provides the right temperature to support life.
This reminds me that they've found two planets orbiting a pulsar! They're extremely radioactive and can't support life, but it's interesting because they couldn’t have formed there!!!!
Pulsars or neutron stars are super dense stars (a tablespoon could pierce through Earth!!!), and I don't remember exactly how they're formed. It has something to do with stellar death. I'll come back and add that information later!
Have you heard of Betelgeuse? It's a star not too far away (far enough, don't worry, we're not in danger) that's on the brink of a supernova and would be visible from Earth! HOW COOL IS THAT?
We can also talk about stellar color and what it says about their temperature!
Contrary to popular belief, blue is the hottest star color (DON'T DARE), and red is the coolest! The Sun is in the middle, being a yellow star (I think), with a surface temperature of 5000°C!!! Just to give you an idea, the melting point of carbon is 3550°C and the boiling point is 4287°C. So, you wouldn't burn on the Sun's surface; you'd evaporate. Of course, that's if you even made it there in one piece, which you wouldn't.
-Leo
Hey kiddo, these facts are amazing!!!!!!!!! I feel so educated!!!!! If you have any more, feel free to send em my way I'd love to hear em! You're so smart and I'm so incredibly proud of you! 🫂🫂

saw some stuff on juno and here are some of my initial thoughts (please mind that; i didn't get to play her during her playtest period, i don't really watch overwatch gameplay content, and i tend to hold a negative attitude towards new characters cause i don't want to learn counterplay/new metas);
and obviously all of this is subject to massive change in a couple days when new season drops and hopefully an animated short
lore and character
i will not be writing juno content -- i know spacerocks is everywhere and it's very cute, but she just has so little content right now? and i can't imagine much more lore coming out during her release. she's mei's graduate school friend's daughter. she likes spaghetti westerns.
she also comes across as very very innocent and it kind of makes me uncomfortable. like the naivety + her design give me not great feelings. maybe my feelings on the matter will change when i hear more voice lines at release. she has so little voice lines right now and they all feel the same. it's just her talking about the novelty of being on earth + comparing everything to space and that's it.
whereas you have voice lines like venture and reinhardt on eichenwald where venture talks softer and more seriously/compassionately that really make you like venture as a person. i don't know anything about juno even after listening to her voicelines, there's so little to learn either directly or indirectly in her lines.
i saw a twitter post some time ago about how mauga might be the last character we get with major lore relevance for a long time (baptise's backstory/ex-lover). venture shows up with a new faction. juno shows up with a new faction. (same with illari). not relevant to juno, just wanted to talk about it because i wish there was more characters being released relevant to overwatch or talon or null sector,
venture got lore on release! didn't they dig into anubis -- the thing null sector is looking for?? where is the juno lore, she got teased as a character around the same time as venture, i would expect more lore written around her.
though, her perspective on omincs/null sector could be cool. especially, if she ran into ramattra before overwatch. although, her positive opinion of mei makes me think she's going to be sided with overwatch.
mauga had an awesome animated short -- completely flipped my opinion on him. venture, less-so, but they had arguably more lore in their gameplay trailer than most characters. so juno might get an awesome animated short
gameplay (im just a yapper, and don't actually check numbers too carefully. everything is in perspective of a kiriko one trick, bear with me)
i really don't like that they teased juno as 'space ranger' and then didn't use space ranger as her code name? like, i will be comm-ing her as 'space ranger' for the foreseeable future. i thought juno was her real name and space ranger was her in-game name. like 'venture' and 'sloan'.
also PLEASE no space ranger meta (i don't think she'll be meta without adjustments to other characters; eg. tank nerfs/buffs). im going to be so sad if we got kiriko nerf into a space ranger meta. i know kiriko/suzu isn't healthy for the game, but as a kiriko main who has little stake in the competitive health of the game, i am allowed to be overjoyed at buffs and sad at nerfs haha
not being able to go down with glide boost might be a yikes. widow/hitscan are going to have such a fun time getting her because she is stuck in the air with no vertical adjustment.
pulsar torpedoes seem really good? (surely this ability just gets shortened to "missiles" for comms). that's so much healing 135x(every teammate in los) with no charge up; but there is travel time. it'd negate a lot of damage from zarya ult, sigma ult, orisa ult, etc. like suzu, but more healing and no immorality frames. and on the flipside, sigma ult + pulsar torpedoes just kills most characters max health without healing? then also consider that juno probably bursts the enemies with her primary fire too. still worse than suzu/lamp; ana nade negates it, but it'll be harder to bait out than suzu/nade.
75(missiles) + 50(grav initial burst damage) + 125(most characters have 250 health and sigma ult does 50% on impact) = 250(this will kill).
basically most of the tank ults that cluster/stun characters are going to have great synergy with missiles. like orisa ult can be released earlier with 75 chip on everyone.
she has so little survivability from dive imo. tracer tries to one-clip her and then what (sombra hacks/virus her and she's so dead uh oh)? most of the support roster has ways to get out or abilities that work on themselves to leverage the duel in their favour (suzu, immortality field, moira orb, lifeweaver dash, etc). juno does not have that, double jumping slightly higher in the air doesn't count -- i will be diving her.
gun feels like worse baptise without headshot ability, but she can heal fliers so that's a plus.
ult looks soo good. it's just a better mercy/lifeweaver/(maybe baptise) ult, no?
speed ring will be nice for rein, the healing output will also be nice because lucio doesn't really have that right now. i can see juno replacing lucio for the rein/lucio synergy -- except juno is way easier to kill than lucio.
i won't be playing the week of juno's release. i don't like people griefing in comp with a character they don't know how to play, i'll just wait until the meta has settled and read up about it before returning to the game.
okay maybe a little bit of dps. i really think widowmaker will have a field day with her. i mean??? no vertical adjustment in glide?? easy headshots probably.
end note; ok i was really scared of juno replacing kiriko, but she's okay. i think kiriko beats her at doing almost everything except easier damage from primary fire and pulsar torpedoes damage output to follow up on ults.

Transando no estacionamento do McDonald’s com meu namorado. (04-11-2023)
By; Luana
Ele me pediu pra rebolar pra ele dizendo:
– Rebola pra mim amor, sua buceta apertadinha e quentinha vai me fazer esguichar leitinho nela
(Fui esfregando minha buceta molhada no pau dele)

*Spins wheel* 27 for Pulsar-11
Intimacy prompts! Don't know who to pick? Spin the wheel! If the character isn't applicable I'll just default.
I'm going to be attaching the doc link to read the full thing because I want to keep these posts relatively short.
27. Hugs from Behind
[ Doc link ]
The morning sun is what woke the Warlock that golden morning, hues of orange and gold chasing away the shadows of their living room with the curtains left open, cutting short his plans of sleeping in and a stark reminder that he had fallen asleep on the couch and was subsequently left undisturbed. He raised a hand to shield his eyes from the sun’s light and rolled over with a contemptuous noise and in the distance soft music coming vaguely from the direction of the kitchen off of the living room, and from it, singing and the din of someone in particular cooking that morning’s breakfast.

Week 11: Further Poster iterations
Tumblr media
I have stumbled upon a composition I like the looks of.
It only took me starting completely fresh on a blank slate and an 1 hour to come up with this iteration that I feel reflects the advice I have been given by David, Caroline, and my classmates.
I have removed the word 'Aotearoa' and replaced it with 'Charting Home: Past and Future' a term I feel reflects my concept clearly as well as the pulsar map below.
With this iteration - I worked with the pages next to each other as a spread and this helped me better understand the ways the pages could connect.
I worked on connecting the edges of the posters. This provided a balance to the overall composition as well as working closely with grids, columns and rows.
The concepts across both pages are clear and connect unlike my previous designs - which had two systems working,
I still want to include texture to the main type to give it some depth and maybe introduce a circle gradient as well but overall happy with this as a base.
Tumblr media
How I got here....
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Overall, feeling more optimistic :)

15 People, 15 Questions
Tagged by @novafire-is-thinking
I have a strange feeling someone has tagged me on this before. If so, my apologies, I'd forgotten.
1. Were you named after anyone?
No, but I think someone else might've been named after me. I am unsure since I haven't asked them, but I have my suspicions.
2. When's the last time you cried?
I do not cry much - it's been a long time since I've cried out of grief. Out of joy, though, about a month ago.
3. Do you have kids?
No, but I'd like to have at least two in the future. I am very fond of children.
4. What sports do you play/have you played?
Football, Basketball, Table Tennis, Volleyball. My favourite would be basketball.
5. Do you use sarcasm?
Sparingly.
6. What's the first thing you notice about people?
Their physical appearance, I suppose, mainly how they dress. After we've talked, the secondary thing would be the tone of their voice.
7. What's your eye color?
Dark brown/black.
8. Scary movies or happy endings?
Happy endings, typically. I have yet to find a scary/horror movie I like/is good - I need recommendations to make a fair judgement.
9. Any talents?
Ah - I sometimes write poetry? But sparingly and only when I feel inspired or need to wind down. Nothing else.
10. Where were you born?
I'd prefer not to specify, but Eastern Africa.
11. What are your hobbies?
Reading, my ever-present solace. Thinking[in every direction], my trusty companion.
12. Do you have any pets?
I have a dog - a German Shepherd ☆
13. How tall are you?
5 ft. 8 in. (1.73 meters).
14. Favorite subject in school?
Physics - though it was vast and, at times, hard to completely grasp(which was ever the annoyance to my must-understand-it-all brain).
Astronomy was, still is, and will ever be my obsession.
15. Dream job?
To be an astronomer. I think my fixation on the cosmos is obvious.
Quasars, Neutron stars, Galaxies, White dwarfs, Pulsars, Black Holes - just look at it all! I have no delusion of understanding everything in the observable universe, but I can't help that it keeps me awake some nights - what's beyond what we know?
Another would be to work on an animation series(2D or 3D) as an artist/animator or writer.
You'd think my options are on whole different spectrums, but hey, dreams are what keep us going, so it's okay to have them.
¤ I'm not quite sure who to tag - anyone who sees this, feel free to join.

The Right Thing To Do
The Right Thing To Do https://ift.tt/TfB5eyH by Rose_tortora16 Hermione sentì di nuovo il pulsare nelle orecchie. 🍓!! Forrrr the eldritch cliff being! The one lodged partially in the human’s brain
🍓More random facts!! Yaaaay!! I saved some for this morning too, as I am having too much fun with these and didn't want to answer them all in one go ;u; ! Thank you everyone who has sent the strawber-bees!
OH OH OH! YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT THE STAR SLUGGO!! Orthcusus! I couldn't remember their name either HECK
💫 Their true form, the big one that contains the galaxy fluid works like a worm hole, you can travel across the galaxy through them. But in their smaller state you can warp pretty far on your home world.
💫 Orthus is somewhat sensitive about their appearence, as I doodled that in a lil comic I made, also the joke about them looking like a sea slug.
💫 The stars that comprise it's body blink and move. You might be able to even watch the slow travel of a solar system rotate around a star. What are the stars that their body encompasses? I truely don't know, it may be our universe or it may be another dimension entirely.
💫 Their tendrils work kind of like an unretainable substance, meaning they can go from being soft and squishy to razor sharp at will.
💫 The sound that you hear in the story, the rumble that makes you clap your hands over your ears? It's a little like a cross between and air siren, and the noise a pulsar star makes! 8 D
