pyra tried to snatch the piece of clothing out of mythra's hands, but without any luck.

"it's not like you never borrowed my clothes before without announcing it, pyra! but now that i'm borrowing something from you instead, you won't let me have it…!"

mythra huffed softly and crossed her arms in front of her chest, only for pyra to use that moment and snatch the hoodie out of mythra's hands. 

"h-hey, give it back!!"

"no-uh! it's mine!"

while the two sisters argued, they didn't even notice the door opening and you taking a glance inside. only when you spoke up was when they registered you were there. 

"actually, i think that one is mine."

the two girls spun around, staring at you for a moment before their cheeks turned red. pyra dropped the hoodie surprised, only for mythra to quickly pick it up and handing it to you. 

"h-here, i was just about to return it to you…"

you couldn't help but smile, wondering if mythra was aware how obvious that lie was. 

"you know, i got more than just one hoodie. if you two would like, i could just go grab one from my room…" 

pyra and mythra quickly exchanged glances, seemingly thinking about that proposal for a moment, before both slowly nodding. 

"y-yes, that'd be great…"

SO today in esports we had a bracket with the whole group (minus two people who were not there for various reasons) and GUESS WHO TIED FOR THIRD B) im holding out hope that i get to start next time, since i actually beat one of our players who's been here for quite a while!!! next week is our break week so i dont have a game, but the week after we'll see who's up!

My hc is that Rex got so big because when he was sharing a core with Pythra his DNA got influenced by the Trinity Processor base height data.

Also Mythra being Mythra, she reached her own max height (Malos height) so she's still taller than him.

i think it’s really funny how smash players get so familiar w the characters as their movesets strengths weaknesses etc even if we don’t actually know the characters at all. i could easily describe why pythra is a menace but if you asked me anything about pyra and mythra as characters i’d be stumped. i’ve never touched punch out but of course i know little mac my friend little mac. i’ve never laid eyes on a game and watch in my life

anyway. I think Minnie plays Aegis/Pythra because she heard she's higher tier also hghgowoman, but she doesn't actually know how to play at a high level so she loses a lot and is a Very Poor Loser about it. Davey tries a little bit of everyone but plays a lot of kirby because he thinks it's really funny when he beats people with Fucking Kirby. Buck does not know how to play Smash and cannot be convinced to because none of the characters are a car he recognizes.

as CPU Kerfuffle-esque Represented As Smash Characters, I think Buck is Morton-skin Bowser Jr (because he rides around in a funny car to attack you), Minnie is standard Inkling (red pigtails and focused on darting around fast), and Davey is either Blue Min Min or Blue Samus (Chunky Metal Arm Blasting You).

mythra was somehow the smartest and yet dumbest person in the entire group

it didn't take her long to figure out that you had a crush on pyra and she was constantly teasing you about it

she was trying to push you to ask her out or she would threaten to tell pyra (if pyra didn't knew about it already–)

what mythra somehow failed to realize was that you weren't just crushing on pyra

you also had feelings for her!

it was amusing to watch her deny her own feelings for you, trying to pretend like she didn't care about you or like she hadn't noticed that you looked at her the same way you looked at pyra

that same look that mythra was always teasing you about with pyra but somehow failed to mention when it came to herself

you decided to wait a little longer to see if mythra would eventually admit to it or not

after all, you were sure you two felt the same way about each other, so there was no need to rush things with her

sexuality: tbh i don't think she would have any particular preference. wtf gay little aegis gender: xbc as a whole seems pretty set on making pythra the FEEEMALE aegis and malos the MAAALE aegis and alvis as the one in between but personally i think Mythra should be much less gender than that. none of the aegises should be confined to the constraints of human gender. a ship: Mythra/Nia babeyyyyyyyyy a BROTP: she's so fun with Mòrag!! i also adore Mythra and Pyra having a sisterly dynamic. a NOTP: Addam. also not too keen on Mythra/Brighid but it's fun when it's a one-sided thing with Mythra being really confused about her own feelings random headcanon: she snores like a fucking chainsaw when she sleeps. also she's REALLY skilled with Nia's scimitar but complains it feels too lightweight compared to her own sword. general opinion: i actually do like Mythra a lot! she has a great personality and a compelling backstory. i think she is kinda weighed down by the main plot's dissonant pivots to fanservicey waifu moments with Rex, especially with how hard they wanted to assign her the tsundere role, but i try not to let those odd moments of cringe writing ruin my fondness for Mythra (and Pyra and Nia). Mythra's really cool and fun and funny!! she's just an unfortunate victim of government-assigned gender.

So I came up with this little silly idea at work to briefly distract myself from The Horrors (mental illness)...

and it wasn't supposed to be anything more than that but I just keep rotating it in my mind now..

Like I just keep thinking abt the canon blade eaters and Silva (my oc, who'd probably be a bit of a special case bc he got a full core crystal that was modified to replace his heart)

I think Torna wouldn't rlly have any moral qualms abt letting Mik occasionally munch on some people and they'd probably even let him sap some energy from their core crystal collection so he wouldn't die. Mik probably wouldn't exactly love it but he's like kind of "whatever" about it. He's working towards destroying the world anyway. Doesn't really matter when these people die.

Zeke would probably despise Amalthus for having him turned into a blade eater and he'd probably despise himself for what he has to do to survive to an extent too. He'd still be happy about him and Pandoria being able to continue to live alongside each other but ough the misery. That one scene where Zeke talks to Amalthus in Indol would hit so different too. Him telling Amalthus he thinks those who kill others are weak and then the realization slowly kicking in. He'd probably be awful at coping with it. Zeke is such a silly goose in canon xbc2 so it feels weird imagining him in any even remotely angsty situations but Idk I kinda vibe with this. Also I'm not a huge fan of PanZeke as a ship usually. They just have such oomftacular bestie vibes to me but I think I like it in this context. PanZeke angsty hurt/comfort. Pandoria comforting messed up vampire-ish Zeke, reassuring him he's not an awful person and also being his source of ether. And also she feels kind of guilty because it's a part of her core that turned Zeke into this so he also comforts her, reassuring her it's not her fault at all and he always makes sure to be extra kind to her bc of how much she does for him and how unbelievably much he cares abt her. [Explodes]

Rex would not be affected. He's not really a Blade Eater in the way the others are. Aegis cores are weird and special. And he's technically kind of dead already so even if they weren't he probably would be unaffected. U cannot convince me that Jin's attack somehow left him barely alive. He's basically a walking corpse and only tethered to the world through that part of Pythra's core and the conduit.

Amalthus would have absolutely 0 issues with being a fucked up vampire/cannibal Blade Eater. Both in terms of morals and getting ether and blood/flesh for sustenance. Tbh he'd probably get a kick out of doing fucked up vampire things even. Indol has a massive amount of core crystals he can sap energy from and nobody will truly notice/care if occasionally a few of the refugees go missing. (And even if people care, they wouldn't really be able to do anything about it. Enough people in positions of power in Indol and in Indol's military force have a cult-like devotion to Amalthus and revere him as some kind of deity. Trying to pose a genuine threat to him would be akin to commiting suicide.)

And last but not least I get to be cringe abt my oc. :3 Normal Blade Eater Amalthus and Silva are, like, two awful guys who hate but tolerate each other because of Circumstances. Silva is such a repressed but very desperate loser type of gay guy that he occasionally has Thoughts but he'd rather die a thousand deaths than actually admit anything to Amalthus or even himself; he just represses it further.

In Blade Eater vampirism AU they are awful guys who hate each other who are soo codependent and toxic. Cannibalism as a metaphor for love, enemies AND lovers, they're tearing each other apart (literally), neither of them has a normal understanding and concept of love, etc. Do u understand.. (I am,, so very Normal about them).

Silva's core was specifically modified to function as his heart since his original one was more than just a little faulty. The technology used to achieve this and research regarding it was lost like almost everything about Judicium upon the devastating attacks on Temperantia during the Aegis war. But anyway despite being a very early Blade Eater experiment - from far before Indol started dabbling in making Blade Eaters - he turned out surprisingly well. The physical link between his organic cells and his core are strong and deteriorate at a much slower rate; the only thing that got really messed up by this was his mind. He's still a fucked up vampire like the other Blade Eaters. He just needs to consume ether and blood/flesh far less frequently. He also has some of the regenerative abilities of blades. He's able to recover faster from wounds than non-blades but not quite as fast as blades and he still grows scar tissue on wounds that are severe enough.

Having a singular guy who's a source of both ether and organic material for sustenance and can regenerate is very convenient for Amalthus and far less suspicious that what he was doing before! Especially because Silva cannot exactly do anything about it. He stumbled his way into becoming Amalthus's blade and acting against him would be awfully unwise (AND being an important asset to Amalthus also grants him easy access to ether and blood when he does need it). Also while Silva is stuck in this situation Amalthus does let him get away with a lot more things than he really should (including but not limited to: verbal and physical threats and letting him bite him as well)

:33 giggling, squealing, kicking my feet, etc. They're so bad for each other but they deserve each other so very much. I love thinking abt them. They're my horrid old men babygirls ❤️

there's something to be said about vidyadhara in HSR and blades in XBC2 (and by extension characters in XBC3 as a whole) and how these two games tackle the subject of reincarnation and the concept of the self differently. but i don't have the words for that right now. but, the comparisons i can make between dan heng and pythra regarding trauma. or dan heng and nia regarding acceptance of your own identity. or maybe even dan heng and brighid regarding how one's nature changes or stays the same through a new life cycle. how about dan heng and noah moving on from the past/breaking away from the cycle.

So out of all the rare blades you had in xc2 who was your favorite?

ok that's a tough choice so pure design wise I love Azamis whole puppet motif with the multiple shadow hand and she just has a wonderful smile ya know

on a purely gameplay level Zenobia hard carried me through most of the game so we're bros and I respect her

but there's also Poppi who gets so many great moments throughout the story like lifting Rex back up after losing Pythra, her talk with Pythra in the Land of Morytha, and parrying a titan laser. Plus she has some super creative animations that are basically nopon movements don't through a normal human body and it's great.

BUT THEN Sheba is a funny gal who floats around in a bathtub, only drinks the rarest tea, is powered by money, and punts nopon across titans and I'm shallow enough to vibe with that

My opinions on the three best characters in smash ultimate:

Steve: disgusting

Pythra: honestly? Boring to watch. At least Steve combos make me feel something. Watching a pythra combo is just dull. Like oh boy yup you sure did end that combo with a down air up smash. Oh wow, a side special sd? Feeling dangerous today are we? Cosmos is the only pythra player that makes me feel something and it’s solely because he’s such a loose canon, optimal pythra is just dull.

Joker: sick. Oh my god I love watching joker. Mkleo’s joker is like watching Jesus recite the bible to you, it’s holy. It’s genuinely art. My favourite character to watch in any smash game.
