this might have been asked before, but what program/software do you use to make your art? <3
i use photoshop! i do NOT recommend it but if you already use it, its easy to start on there. small canvas and 1px pencil tool.
otherwise if ur wanting to learn, id recommend aseprite, pyxeledit, pixquare or another program made specifically for pixel art cause they're more intuitive

Hello I'm Momentary Unicorn!
I'm a pixel artist for the most part but occasionally dabble in other mediums too.
Commission Me Here Anytime
I feel like my strengths are in animal art pieces in general but I enjoy drawing a wide variety of things.
I'm a married adult with two kids. I'm pan/bi and demisexual. I'm cis and use the pronouns "She/her."
I hate Ai and NFTs! You'll only find art I made with my own hands when I post my own pictures.
I've been doing pixel art since 2015 pretty casually at first but I've been enjoying challenging myself to try new things or to try to fit important details on a tiny scale.
I try my best not to fully treat this as a personal blog but I do share things that I feel are important to read into. So if you're expecting me to be quiet until an art piece drops, you may be disappointed.
i have all my social medias listed on my website https://momentaryunicorn.com
Or follow my Ko-Fi to sometimes catch my art before I post it on social medias! I also post wallpapers etc for you to download!
I also post pixel art videos on youtube from time to time!
Want to put stickers on my art posts...for FREE? GameJolt is great for that!
Quick facts: I use Aseprite or PyxelEdit for my pixel art. I use Clip Studio Paint for other digital art. I use blender for low poly models.

i apologize if you're asked this frequently, but what software do you use for your animations? i'm looking to get more serious in digital art.
Hey!
So I don't know when you asked this or if I might have answered already, but thanks for the interest.
For my pixelart character animations I use PyxelEdit, since it's very useful for stuff like tilesets to see all frames at the same spot. I can set where the animation start or ends, and copy or move any frames with a couple of mouse clicks.
Now, for something like a scene with many moving pieces, I have used Photoshop a lot in the past, but recently I started working with Aseprite and I REALLY recommend it for that purpose. It's very easy to add frames without messing up anything and you don't need to use that many layers either.
It's been a while since I did non-pixelart animation but nowadays I have seen a lot of people using Blender or Clip Studio Paint. I'd recommend giving them a try.

Primeira Aula Pixel Art - O Software
Pyxel Edit - Minha Escolha.

Finally added food so that players can restore their energy without going to sleep and now they can read more books in a day!
I just need to add (at least 50) books and maybe a book-release system and/or deals.

Some pixel art from playing about with Pyxel Edit. It's fun and user-friendly, highly recommend! Currently in beta but going for $9, with all future updates free. You can animate and make tiles for video games as well!*

Hi guys, sorry I haven't uploaded anything for a while. The whole coronavirus situation bummed me out and I honestly didn't feel in the mood at all. 😩 However. I'm starting to experiment trying to find a middle ground between pixel art and my usual style and I came up with this Hamster Warrior! 🙌 I think I'm going somewhere with this 😁 (And I'm having a lot of fun) Stay safe :3 #hamster #warrior #hamsterwarrior #pixelart #digitalillustration #characterdesign #jmarme #gaming #videogames #2dgaming #pyxeledit https://www.instagram.com/p/B-XQfnqJ_Da/?igshid=1frtowbom4uhj
