fanart for @trubbishrubbish's 'genocide jack on jabberwock's island mode' (or jabberwock genocide, for short) videos!! apparently i drew this all the way back in JANUARY, didn't know where to post it (didn't have a DR blog back then), and so left it dusting over in drafts for 11 months. which is a shame because that 3rd panel peko is one of the favourites i've ever drawn

(also i'm having jack be weaker than peko because unlike other strong characters like sakura, jack is quite unpredictable and so i don't want pekoyama to shut down fully into Bodyguard Threat Analysis Mode. very unrelaxing and obstructive to potential yuri)

Caustic and coffee

So I've been thinking

Caustic doesn't drink his coffee black, like most people assume.

Instead he treats it as a science. One cup of coffee exactly 200ml, add 10grams of sugar, stir twice clockwise and once anticlockwise. After letting it cool for exactly 15 seconds, add 21ml of milk and blow three times.

Any other amount or order pisses him off and he won't drink it.

Headcanon and you can't convince me otherwise.

Throwback to May 2017. This was my second year globe trekking solo. I still do it. Honestly, I think there's nothing wrong with it. People would always shame me in all types of ways for traveling solo. The shaming and hate was REAL.....It still is. It was more subtle more than anything else but I still recieved it nonetheless. Looking back, especially on that particular trip back in 2017, plus a few others before this one, I discovered a lot about myself and the things I was capable of doing alone despite all of the shamming and criticism. I always thought I was some sort of weirdo or selfish prude for traveling alone or not having another person roll along with me. Nah, Im glad I dont think like that anymore. . . . However, I do want to say to those in a similar situation that it's absolutely cool to roll alone out here. Not solely in traveling but in Life in general. They gonna call you a ' loner' , and use other sorts of shaming rhetoric and tactics to downplay traveling or doing things by yourself .... but remember .... thats just THEIR fears, insecurities , and envy they have of you. People like that tend to be very comfortable with the way certain things are --- so doing something independently or outside their realm of comfort is threatening and they will use all types of tactics to belittle, trivialize, ostracize, isolate, de-popularize, or discredit you and the things you are accomplishing and achieving independently without their approval ------ this DEFINITELY includes thinking, speaking, and doing things freely and with liberty. I think solo travel .... or just doing things by yourself in general is one of the most independent, revolutionary, and self-fulfilling acts you can do out here. . . . . Once all of this global plan-ic plan-demic, plan-domonium stuff subsides, Im gonna continue to keep these solo missions going ----- whether through travel, or other aspects of humanity. SA is the original big forum which some how solved every major problem that destroyed every other big forum:

When they realized they had a pedophile problem because of anime fans, they kicked them out. Those people started 4chan.

When they realized they had a hidden nazi problem, they kicked them out and those people did gamergate. So what's SA like culturally? SA is actually incredibly nice and aggressively polices awful people out.

They're also absurdly good at figuring out the cause of many online trends in sentiment.

For one, it turned out that a lot of the internet's anti-furry sentiment was a smokescreen used by nazis (with "cringe" culture being their next target after furries solidified their power-base and ran everything -- and then transpeople when "cringe" culture became radical acceptance and the nazis were aged out of having a cultural frame of reference) to pull attention away from themselves and upon another vulnerable group and prior to the nazi purge, SA was sadly complicit in circulating those attitudes circa 2010 before everybody realized they were there.

They were also the first users to notice NPC behavior on tiktok and properly study it.

After that, SA took a very VERY hardline stance on the acceptance of marginalized people and intersectionalism, including critical theory which in conjunction with Tumblr they were major proponents and writers of.

A few argue they have dated views on asexuality but those results are typically cherrypicked from essentially the worst parts of the website and many of those users who said those things are now perma-banned -- the site just keeps a log of every post made on it and fosters a culture of accountability and qualityposting that no social media community either does or can.

They may or may not be highly engaged in politics and a huge amount of political research could be coming from SA and they could be responsible for dismantling the intellectual darkweb (Tate, Peterson, etc), and for deradicalizing a shockingly high number of people, including myself.

They are also responsible for around 40% of internet culture directly or indirectly until 2017 though they've downshifted specifically to focus on projects since most of the userbase is really aging up, with the average age of users being between 35 and 50.

Essentially, imagine Tumblr was a forum which was owned by users gen X and millenial users, and not some huge company.

Now imagine they were a lot less ambitious about their view of the world, but also that due to their connections and age they tended to get more done.

Now imagine that other-Tumblr paid for itself by making users pay a one-off fee of 10 dollars, plus 10 dollars for an avatar, plus 10 dollars for a username. Users can pay money to change any of those aspects of any other user too, often to comedic effect.

I could for example on SA pay money to change your username or avatar as I see fit. If I do it in poor taste however, I could be given a probation or ban. Likewise, users will often out of kindness change someone elses username or avatar back as a show of courtesy if they think someone's username or av is being griefed.

If an account is banned, a user has to register a new one and start the process again. If its realized that a user is ban-evading, the account would be deleted instantly.

Wait, bans cost money?

Oh its even better:

There is a single user who has been ban evading for months, who generates around $5000 in revenue for the site every six months, because he just keeps getting banned and keeps registering.

He is the closest thing to a xitter nazi on SA, and almost all of the users laugh at him because he's giving his money to leftists because he's so desperate for attention (more on this shortly).

What about "Photoshop Friday"?

The very best posts on the site which score highest are adjusted, and go to the front page, which are monetized with ads. All of this pays for the site's total running costs and lets it break even.

The site to this end effectively popularized themed photoshop comedy competitions for years, and through this was a massive influence on online culture.

SA no longer does this, and is now far more introspective, in order to preserve its highly stable culture and not bring in unknown elements or have mass signups (a la "Eternal September" collapse) which would disrupt the site's culture.

The site is so bizzarely stable, reliable and resilient to economic pressures and is so involved in so many good and helpful projects in ways which are for the most part effectively untracable that this earned some very famous ire. Something about SA just refuses to die.

It could be due to suspiciously wealthy furries. Nobody knows!

Most divorced man ever Gallon Tusk's justification for buying xitter is that when conservatives started their own social media networks, nobody else joined them so they had nobody to yell at or complain about, which is why they had to take over another social network to have somewhere to be because fascists cannot exist without your undivided attention.

Again: fascists are so incapable of creating, that they cannot even create reliable a concept of self without someone else to do it for them.

Consequently, SA is responsible for the complete and total unravelling of sexpest, serial adulterer and apartheid emerald failchild Melon Lust's history studying him in frankly incredible detail using open source intelligence (publically available information) and interviews and discussions with industry members and people connected to his personal life, which is all perfectly legal.

Ironically the reason for this is not some incredibly noble purpose, but because SA learned that living tarpit and waste of human blood and organs Smeglon Ughst was for a time in 2009 a regular user under a psudonym who was trying to make the forum like him to draw attention away from himself.

This backfired catastrophically and now they bully him incessantly all over the internet whenever he steps out of turn, dropping in on livestreams to issue incredibly well researched statements which have been known to bring him to tears on camera which is why he's been somewhat camera shy as of late.

Many attempts to buy SA have happened, but none have actually succeeded. Curious!

I spent farrrrrrr too long writing this, deleted huge massive chunks after realizing they would potentially out users or activities and I realize now in retrospect the odds of anybody actually reading this post are essentially miniscule.

Truth be told I'm not a super regular on SA. There's entire areas of the forum I've never seen and probably won't ever though that's any website really isn't it?
