Bird Flu Strain Discovery Forces Sydney Egg Farm Into Bio Lockdown
The Powers that be, say: 👇
"An egg farm in Sydney's north-west has been forced into a bio lockdown, after a strain of bird flu was confirmed at the property."
They will create a food shortage using this narrative. 🤔

is Arthur capable of romantic love? How does that work with Francis who's unable of fidelity?
Hmmm good question tbh. And good comparison! I think bc they are that way, they just fit. Arthur is indeed capable of romantic love, but it's a love that comes with conditions. François is a perfect fit for that. They have an on and off thing going on and Arthur is comfortable with that. He is a person who doesn't really need romance in his life constantly, but sure, every once in a while you'll find the rat and frog combo in an intimate setting, sitting on the couch in Arthurs study sharing a moment. Happens every other leap year but still. Arthur doesn't expect fidelity or exclusivity from François and François doesn't expect romantic gestures or love confessions. It works out.
Arthur has had lovers throughout his millenias but the only kind of love that is constant for him is a sort of paternal love for his children. And even that is limited in it's expression. Zee gets material proof of Arthurs care and love and the ocasional "my dearest girl" and "my poppet". She is on the recieving end of Arthurs material generosity, getting dresses, supplies, trips as well as plane tickets payed for by her dad. Jack is rewarded with an understanding from Arthur that he doesn't have to live up to his dads high expectations (which is a strong form of love when it comes to Arthur) and doesn't have to bust his ass to be his son. He gets to study veterinary medicine and has the full support of his dad. Matt is tricky bc his love will always be on wobbly legs. He isn't Arthurs biological son, and even if Arthur insists it doesn't matter, it's a factor in their relationship. More recently (after the great war) Matt has gotten the status of Arthurs no. 1 confidante, and thats a strong and special love by itself.
Alfred is a different story altogether. Even if he won't admit it, Arthur would give his firstborn the sun, moon and stars from the sky. If Alfted does something well or even extraordinary it's always "Well it's Alfred." He is the first one to receive Arthurs (uncommon) compassion, care and understanding.
As for romantic love, he can live without it. His randevous with Portugal, France, Spain etc... are all that: randevous. François ia honestly the only constant romantic partner he can stand. Precisely because François gives him the space to not not call for months, not answer texts and not initiate a meeting between them. If Arthur is up for it, great, let's ruin the sheets. But if he's not, well François has other contacts in his phone.
In short, they fit. Not asking too much and not recieving too much. They know eachother well enough for it to work. They like it that way.

when are journalists going to pick up on the fact that zak brown isn't being nice when he says that he wants daniel to stay part of the 'mclaren family' in indycar or fe, he's instead realised the marketing star daniel is and how much money they're losing by getting rid of him and he's desperate to retain that :)

Im once again here to ask aussie hbh fans questions about aussie things that the internet didn’t manage to answer to. The question is: in which year would have the characters of hbh been born in? Assuming s2 is set in… 2022? 2023?

inadvertently stopped using my freckle fade cream without thinking.... right around the time i started making gifs of felix.... coincidence?
#positive influence.....#i do wonder sometimes how jarring it must have been for he and lil chris to go from australia to korea#bc i copped shit for being pale and freckly as a kid#i have a core memory of this girl talia wearing a country bumpkin costume with these cartoonish freckles drawn on and she pointed at me#and was like Lol im jessie haha and i was like Okay so you want to fight??#another time had to do some speech and when i finished and had questions from my classmates and two boys just asked me why i was pale#and why they could see idk i guess my bloodvessels in my legs ??? i didnt even notice like i was just like UHHHH idk ask about my topic#had so many instances like that and they werent terrible but it did make me insecure#like in the 00s here being tan was /it/ you had to be nice and tanned- go lay in the sun and ignore we are number one in melanoma deaths#like it was so consistently the thing... prob why i have so many freckles bc i didnt tan in the sun i freckled#but in both felix and chans aus photos they were quite tanned!#so imagine going from Hey go lay in the sun and get nice and brown ya pale fucker to Do Not Do That. ASSI RECOGNITION DAY
Hi everyone today, the 25th of August, is Australian South Sea Islander recognition day. From 1863 to 1904, over 62,000 South Sea Islanders were coerced through deception or kidnapping to work as slaves or poorly paid labourers in Australia, most notably in Queensland. Then in 1901 with the 'White Australia Policy' many Pacific Islanders were deported between 1904 and 1908.
Despite the government insisting that this is a "bittersweet" event that was simply a "fraught" part of Australia's history, Australia continues these racist traditions, refusing to acknowledge or recognise how they have harmed Pacific Islanders and furthermore Australians encourage tourism within the Pacific Islands, often to the detriment of the Pacific Islanders themselves.
Australians view ourselves traveling within Polynesia, Micronesia and, most notably, Melanesia as adventurers exploring the unknown, instead of calling it what it is, tourism that exploits the rest of Oceania and encourages the discrimination and ideals of colonisation.
Australian South Sea Islander Day is a day that not many Australians know about, in fact I hadn't known the day existed until a friend prompted me to search for it in June. Despite the impact of Pacific Islanders on Australia and Australia's history with Pacific Islanders, we teach little-to-nothing about this history in schools, we do not acknowledge our part in reinforcing racist ideas and we don't recognise days like ASSI recognition day that highlight important parts of our history.
So I am going to make a start by recognising this day and what it should mean to Australia. August 25th, ASSI Day and I have linked below many resources about our history that are worth reading whether you are Australian or not.

Why is all this sh¡t happening now? Train derailments, roads collapsing, bridges being hit by ships, planes falling apart and food processing plants, chicken and egg farms catching on fire?
Google: How many food processing plants have burned since 2021. All I saw were fact-checkers and that should be a clue. 🤔

in your opinion, what is the coolest non-lethal animal, reptile or insect in Australia? From my far-away perspective, Aus is filled with syphilitic koalas and the fucking enormous spiders and that nightmare giant bird with the eyes, and the general vibe seems to be that everything there is actively trying to kill you and I’m wondering if that’s true
Yeah, look, fuck koalas.
Tumblr media
The syphilis I am empathetic towards: we all make high, horny mistakes, but the general sound of them (google it) and their distraction from all the other cool shit irks me.
Tumblr media
Quokkas are fucking adorable and we would be exporting their image more except they're endangered because they are dumb as fuck and haven't learned about humans or cars or shit. Cute as fuck though. And there's an island with no cars where you can do and meet them and their dumbfuckery means they lean into gratuitous selfies.
Tumblr media
We have really hairy caterpillars. I rescued one today, it had crawled several meters into the building at work and I got it on a big leaf and took it outside. Some of them fucking burn though, so I never touch them. Cuties though.
Tumblr media
I get these bastards in my yard occasionally... Like almost a foot long. Big dumb blue tongues (that's their name, actually). They're pretty placid but I only say that because I've never been bit. If you fuck with them, they do bite and their jaw strength is apparently pretty bad. My dad got bit once, and I know dogs that have lost chunks of tongues. Cute little fuckers though.
Tumblr media
And then this fucker, the Australian magpie. I would let any other aussie animal live in my yard - snakes, spiders, dingoes - they are all safer, less fucking aggressive. I have a family of magpies roosting in my backyard and they have youngsters which is lovely for them, and I'll admit their song is nice, but these bitches swoop to kill. Like they will literally see a human in their space, especially now with babies at the start of spring, and they will gouge your fucking face off. Do not google it, there are lots of videos and actual news stories about death and maiming.
Oh and... this guy I love:
Tumblr media
Aussie huntsman. Size of your palm. The ultimate independent house-protecting pet. I will happily welcome these fuckers into my house. I will talk to them, explain the rules: Stay out of the bedroom and the toilet, and don't position yourself above doorways or exactly where I want to sit. Otherwise: welcome. They aren't very poisonous at all, they're not aggressive, and they like living in plain view. I've had regular house guests since my teens. Plus they eat all the other spiders and bugs. Genuinely love these guys.
So, like, yeah a lot will try to kill you, but in all likelihood huntsmen and magpies will eat them first.
