DID YOU KNOW:

Aaliyah attended a the Big Bash Bomb event thrown by Wild 94.9 in San Francisco in 1997. This is the event where DJ Big Joe (Joe Lopez) had a birthday wish for Aaliyah to blow a candle out (from his ASS). Aaliyah thought it would be funny and blew the candle out. It was rumored that Diane Haughton did NOT find this assuming - AT ALL! Rumor (back in the days on the Aaliyah forums) was that Mama Diane looked at this as a huge insult to Aaliyah. - Would you have agreed?

Also, after Aaliyah's death, Wild 94.9 held a candlelight vigil for Aaliyah in San Francisco, CA on the date of August 27th 2001.

Damian who every night, without fail, tunes into your radio show. It’s become a ritual for him, something he looks forward to after a long day. He’s often found sitting by the window in his room, earphones in, listening intently as your voice fills the airwaves.

Damian who you occasionally slip in subtle, personal messages to during your show, knowing that he's listening. Whether it’s a song that holds special meaning between the two of you or a shoutout that only he would understand, these little moments make him smile, knowing that you’re thinking of him even when you’re on the air.

Damian who has a secret playlist of all the songs you’ve played on your show that he particularly likes. It’s a mix of genres and artists, reflecting both your taste in music and the songs that resonate with him. He listens to this playlist when he’s working out, training, or just needs to feel connected to you.

Damian who whenever you have a live event or appearance around Gotham, makes it a point to show up, often without telling you in advance. He likes surprising you, watching as your face lights up when you spot him in the crowd.

Damian who is always on high alert at these events, subtly keeping an eye out for any potential trouble. He’s protective of you, even in public settings, and ensures that you’re safe while still allowing you to enjoy your time with fans and listeners. Both as Damian and in Robin uniform

Damian who on the nights when you have a late shift, sometimes visits you at the radio station. He’ll bring you your favorite coffee or snack, staying with you in the studio while you work. He loves watching you in action, the way you effortlessly handle the equipment and interact with your listeners.

Damian who occasionally, requests a song or dedication without revealing his identity. He enjoys seeing your reaction when you realize it’s from him, especially if it’s something romantic or meaningful. It’s his way of expressing his feelings without being too overt.

One critic called him “a cross between Freddy Mercury and Roy Orbison.” Most people know Micky as an actor, director, producer, radio DJ, writer, and singer on most of The Monkees’s hits, but he’s also an inventor and furniture maker. It’s been my honor and privilege (and learning experience) to work and hang out with Micky and to be part of the 2011 Monkees reunion tour of the UK and US + other Monkees spin-off projects.
