Dr. Harleen Quinzel, a professional psychiatrist, made a living out of helping the worst of the worst.

harley quin is forever my favorite because she shares the very story that every women can.

life threw her in with a bad guy, and now she's basically fucked.

as much as I love independent-clinically-insane-doing-her-own-thing harley, I can't help but mourn the absolute tragedy that is her life.

she put years of herself into studying people and how to help them, learning the human brain.

and because of the joker she ends up becoming a villain?

she was manipulated, hurt and abused. and now her brain is permanently damaged and she'll never get her old life back, whether she wants to or not.

and in addition to all of that, she's cursed with the deep understanding of it all.

she should've known better, she studied it, him.

that was her field, she is an expert.

yet here she is.

and the joker? the pain he's inflicted on her barely even makes it to his list of evil doings.

she's just a villain, why should anyone care?

he made her that way, and she's the only one suffering the consequences.

you really need to raise your standards for what's considered "a phrase" because if it only makes sense in the specific context of the post it was originally found in and it isn't repeatable in other situations, that's not a phrase that has entered the lexicon, that's just something someone said one time.

What doesn't alter your vocabulary may alter, or may have already altered, someone else's. This is not about adding to The General Lexicon - I have an entire tag for things that change this site as a whole, which has a higher bar; this is largely about novelty and humor. This is us curb-stomping whatever the fuck we want into the right form for our needs, whatever those needs may be, including altering aspects of the phrase to fit the necessary format or context. It's a linguistic shotgun.
