They really do because if you think about it, they’ve been leading up to this moment (in a way). They’ve been building MC and Elliot’s relationship since chapter one either by convincing the players to become personally invested in Elliot or convincing them of just how important he is to them.

If they had just made Richard threaten just MC’s life, whatever, you know? Kinda cheap to throw another life or death quick time choice at players. But to add that extra little bit about Elliot? And confirming (right out of Richard’s mouth) that HE was the one who killed their parents? That Josephine missed her daughter’s actual killer? That was brilliant.

Hey! About Cassandra, I always thought Nevarra was more or less in the Spain zone of Thedas (since I assumed it was referring to Navarra, an actual region of Spain) so while she may not be as white as northern Europeans, she wouldn't be a woman of color either

Why does everyone think Nevarra, Antiva and Rivain all must be Spain and/or Italy, rather than consider that not everything is European?

Look, I used to think that Thedas must be just Western Europe too, because it’s fantasy, and that’s all fantasy ever typically is. :/ But reading WoTv1 was when I first happily realized otherwise.I’d say Nevarra seems far more akin to Northern Africa and into Southwest Asia.

But if you won’t take my word for it, Gaider confirmed that Nevarra is not an equivalent to Spain on the dead forums.

Yeah, they could’ve used so many gender neutral terms, but of course they wouldn’t. So now they’re implying he divorced MC, married some new girl and had a child with them.

I mean, I guess you could say RCD is an AU (since Hunt is an LI even though he was one in HWU), but since Chris isn’t a LI anymore or even a main character, there was really no point. Like you don’t even meet his wife, so they could’ve just easily avoided using pronouns and gave og players that.
