i'm pretty sure there are articles/essays written about this already, but i really want to write about and touch on the "fatherless" motif (whether that be in the form of loss from death, negligence, absence, etc.) that dostoevsky uses for most of his characters with some elements of astrology (because i've seen dostoevsky's chart)

IT'S ME AGAIN HIHIHIHI i wanted to ask whether u have read crime and punishment???? i've been thinking about it a lot and now it keeps popping up whereever i go and ofc bsd fyodor exists too and i keep thinking about him and sighhh i think i should do it..... (i literally already have the book too......)
- @catchuuu
MICKEY U HAVE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE…….….. i HAVE in fact read crime and punishment and i’m gonna let u in on a very embarrassing secret if u promise not to laugh :’3
……. i bought the book and read it…. because of fyodor bsd…………………….. look. i wanted to get into classic lit ok and. i just thought he was hot 😭😭 so i was like hmmmm let’s check out his works IT’S SO EMBARRASSING BUT I THINK I WAS REAL AS HELL TOO…………
anyway i was pretty young so it might not have been the best choice, it’s a VERY heavy book just language-wise, dostoevsky is not for the weak 😭😭 but it’s very good and interesting too!! i think i would love it even more if i reread it now… dostoevsky is basically known for being kind of a master at exploring the human mind and obv the main thing he explores in this book is guilt. and how the mc raskolnikov begins to punish himself for his crime the moment he commits it…. i like it it’s good :33 would def recommend it!! but it’s not everyone’s cup of tea and some scenes are very Raw. there’s one that’s pretty infamous where the mc dreams about one of his childhood memories right?? when he saw a horse get whipped to death… and it’s just really. ough. made me feel kinda sick. stuff like that is common for dostoevsky so watch out!!!
ooohhh and mickey !! while we’re on the topic of russian lit :333 gogol is super good too !! so far i’ve only read one of his shorter stories, diary of a madman, but that one was so cool. i like him a lot he’s definitely …. a lot more unhinged than dosto….

Quick question, if a movie doesn't actually exist do I still have to italicize it when I write a college essay on it?
Edit: I would like everyone to know that the official verdict is that I will be italicizing the name Goncharov.
This is the link to the essay I posted it last week but this is the make it easier for people to find.

6. 3 characters that inspire you
15. 3 quotes that have a special place in your life
29. 3 characteristics of the person you aspire to be
(from that 3 things ask game that u reblogged a while back and i just had the time to find it on my drafts again ashskjjldsj)
Hope u have a great day/night!! 💜
Hiiii Mila!!! :D
Omg I totally forgot that I rb this, but thank you that you’re sending an ask even a while after, that’s so sweet of you <33
3 persons that inspire you
I actually don’t know if this is specifically for real life people or also characters (it’s been a while and I don’t remember ahh)? I’m gonna do real people bc I’ve done characters a lot :3
Rachel Oates – she is a youtuber and talks a lot about feminism, pro-choice stuff and also poetry and I think she’s wonderful and I admire her maturity and knowledge when it comes to certain topics; I’d also like to spend my life similar to her: self-employed, maybe in a relationship but with much privacy, no kids etc. (I recommend watching her, her videos are very well thought out and backed up by studies and stuff)
Fyodor Dostoyevsky writing style inspires me, it enables my ability to ramble in my text lmao; V. E. Schwab in turn taught me that it’s okay to write short sentences (schwab and dosti are fighting in my head at all times) (also V.E. Schwab is a really cool person! :D) (I put basically two persons here lmao, I’m sorry)
Ahhh the third person is hard…. Uhm I would say Ethan Nestor? I’m pretty sure many know him, he’s done unus annus with Markiplier and when I watched it and even after it was over, it inspired me to be more… well, not funny per se but more random and be more myself when I’m around people (i naturally laugh a lot and it encouraged me kinda?). Ethan also talks a lot about how he always thinks he’s not good enough and I relate to that a lot – so it’s a good feeling seeing him be a good and kind person and it inspires me to do the same (I’m often not that successful but yk, I’m trying)
3 quotes that have a special place in your heart
Raskolnikov: „But why do they love me so much, if i don’t deserve it? Oh, if i were alone and no one loved me and i had never loved anyone! All this would never have taken place!“ – this stuck with me and I still think about it, especially bc I often have this thought that everything would be easier if no one loved me and I loved no one, but I know Raskolnikov is wrong (he knows it himself) and therefore I know I’m wrong, if that makes sense? To sneak another quote in here, I think this one quote from jackaby also hits home in that regard: “I wondered what was sadder, leaving someone to cry after you were gone, or not having anyone who’d miss you in the first place”
“He needed to tell her… what? That she was lovely and brave? And better than anything he deserved? That he was twisted, crooked, wrong, but not so broken that he couldn’t pull himself together into some semblance of a man for her. That without meaning to he had begun to lean on her, to look for her, to need her near. He had to thank her for his new hat.” – thank you Ms Bardugo I’m gonna cry in a corner now
Technically all of Kafka’s letter to his father. I’ve probably said it before but this whole letter is like… ouch… kafka somehow always manages to describe what I’m feeling (also in his diaries and works) and yeah, this letter has a very special place in my heart. Especially the part about him not being good enough for his father and also his friends not being good enough (“it was enough that I showed a mere interest in a person – it didn’t occur often because of my character – and you’d bash them with insults […]”), and also the hypocrisy (“please, father, don’t misunderstand me, usually it would have been insignificant details, though those rules bear down on me only because you […] didn’t follow them yourself”) (all of this is translated by me, i don't have the english version) and in general how kafka describes himself in it (especially his hypochondria and how he thinks about his academic achievements)
I wish this was more revolutionary and there were more quotes from books that I haven’t talked about already but well, these are the first that I think of yk :3
3 characteristics of the person you aspire to be
Ok there’s kinda two ways one could interpret that question – either that I pick for example a celebrity that I want to be and list the qualities about them that I want to have OR basically describe your ideal self and I think I’m gonna go with the second one bc I don’t wanna pick one specific person ig? So I’m gonna list some qualities that I wish I had, I hope that’s okay :3
I wish I was more extroverted (even like a little bit; connecting with people is hard when I'm constantly running on low battery and signals in my head are going off lmao)
I know I’m not stupid but I wish I was smarter… like my grades are good but not GREAT, I can think critically but I wish I could write good and clear analyses like some people on here; I also wished I could read faster, sadly, I’m more of a slow reader bc I want to understand the text very thoroughly but if I could read faster I could read MORE and have more input in my brain that I can use :]
I wish I was less anxious (brain go brrrr every time I go outside so I wish I was more confident in my abilities ig)
In summary: my ideal self would be more extroverted, smarter, a fast reader and confident
Thank you again for the ask! :3 it’s gotten really long, also omg i didn't stick to the rules at all lmao i sneaked in so much more stuff hehe >:3
Hope you're having a good day/night too! :D

ROOK ISLAND;
1970 - MOB DOG - 20 YEARS OLD
After the death of his abusive fiancee, Charley traveled to New York and joined the ranks of a growing offshoot of the Russian Mafia. He rose rapidly from his starting position of errand boy, pushing up through the ranks with his determination, work ethic, and quick understanding of the Russian language. During this time he traveled briefly to Kyrat to assist the future dictator Pagan Min and his boyfriend Mohan Ghale, helping settle a troop of Russian mercenaries that would later help overthrow the throne entirely and put Pagan Min in power as the king of Kyrat.
1973 - DARLING - 23 YEARS OLD
Charley meets a strange and impossibly tall executive at a business dinner between the Russians and a company known as Murkoff. The stranger is introduced to him as Garrett Raskolnikov, and despite a rocky start to their acquaintance, Charley finds himself falling in love with the doctor and moves into his home a few weeks later. Within months Garrett proposes despite the illegality of their relationship, Charley accepts and they wed in a private ceremony. Charley knows little of his husband’s work, the need for him to set the tone of the mob’s relationship with Murkoff no longer required. He continues to work, doing his best to keep his work local so he can spend time with his darling.
1976 - GOODBYE KISS - 26 YEARS OLD
Despite his talents of foreign relations, Charley decides to retire from the mafia and take up a quieter, gentler job at the local bookshop in the Montana town where Garrett’s company is centered in. Unbeknownst to him, his boss Grigori discovered his illicit marriage, deciding that Charley’s worth as an employee outweighed the cost of killing him. Now enraged by his decision to retire from the mafia long before his time, Grigori convinces Charley to go on one last foreign trip to Columbia to assist in securing a contract with a growing cocaine producer. Charley gives Garrett his wedding ring, promises to be back for good in three months, and leaves for South America, never to return.
1976 - THE DEATH OF CHARLEY HARRIS - 26 YEARS OLD
Charley is welcomed warmly to the Colombian plantation and enjoys the last dinner he’ll ever have as a whole man. His Russian boss, Grigori, already informed the strictly-Catholic and homophobic Francisco of his plans to leave the mafia and his illicit marriage, instructing him to do with the young man as he sees fit. Charley is shown to what he believes will be his room for the next three months on the plantation and falls into a deeply drugged sleep. He wakes in a tiny, dark room, deep in the hold of a ship.
1976-1977 - THE SHIP - 26-27 YEARS OLD
It takes a year for the ship to travel from Salvador, Brazil to the distant Indonesian island of Rook, during which Charley is subjected to squalid conditions and daily abuse. Forced to work a variety of demeaning jobs on the ship, any perceived slights or breaking of the daily-changing rules is grounds for severe beatings or other creative punishments including withholding of food and water. By the time they reach their destination Charley has lost a great deal of weight and suffers a number of trauma-based disorders that will haunt him for the rest of his life.
1977 - ROOK ISLAND - 27 YEARS OLD
The large ship stops several miles off the coast of the northern island and Charley is tossed onto a smaller skiff by the captain, accompanied by a few shipmates. As per Francisco’s instructions, they take him within a mile of the tropical island before shooting Charley in the left foot with a .44 caliber pistol and throwing him overboard. He has the option to be eaten by sharks and die, or swim and potentially live. Charley has little recollection of how he got to the distant island, but it’s likely he was rescued by a local fisherman and brought ashore.
Charley’s earliest memories of the island involve the Rakyat Temple and the royal family, several years before the birth of Citra and her younger brother, Vaas. He heals and is allowed to wander the temple, warned not to venture out into the jungle alone due to the predatory animals beyond its walls. It’s here that he accidentally gains immortality, unknown to him until several years later.
He discovers a water stained snapshot of him and Garrett on their wedding day, having forgotten it was sewn into the waistband of his jeans, and swore he would find a way to return.
1983 - THE PRINCESS OF ROOK - 33 YEARS OLD
When Citra is born the island is already well on it’s way to prosperity, mining had begun in the late 70’s and a young government was doing well with cash flowing in. Charley took an immediate shine to the infant and would be present for much of her young years. He does his best to help the family and the island but the fears that haunt him from his traumatic ordeal on the ship. He becomes good friends with the king who respects his desire to remain somewhat removed from the complicated workings of government and foreign affairs, but still provides advice when needed. He ventures out more, visiting the villages and befriending the locals. With their help he began construction of his treehouse that he will often go to in later years. His deep seated fears keep him from leaving on the commercial ships that haul Rook’s bounty to the mainland, he writes letters to his distant husband that he never sends out of paranoia that somehow Francisco will intercept them and find that he’s still alive.
1985 - THE PRINCE OF ROOK - 35 YEARS OLD
Vaas' birth is celebrated by the Rakyat and villagers as a further sign of hope for the future of the island. Charley begins to notice his lack of aging but assumes it’s just the island air and relaxed lifestyle of the people working some strange wizardry. He begins exploring Rook further and takes to swimming to alleviate the constant pain that comes from his badly crippled leg. He slowly begins to worry less about the distant Francisco and his ex-boss, Grigori. The ships coming in and out of Rook’s ports begin to look more appealing, a way back to his darling who undoubtedly believes him dead.
1986 - THE TYRANT - 36 YEARS OLD
As Charley decides to send his letters and leave, the ships stop coming to Rook. Uncertainty begins to infect the island like a plague and soon enough, strange ships are seen off the coast. As smaller boats come to the beaches, Charley goes with the king to see who the strange visitors are, and what business they have here on the islands.
Charley wakes hours later to the sound of rockets and gunfire, smoke clouding the air. The king is dead, riddled with bullets. As he makes his way inland he comes across more and more chaos of the yet-unknown Hoyt Volker’s forceful overtaking. By the time he reaches the temple the gates are sealed with the Rakyat and the rest of the royal family inside. As he’s forced to try and survive in a world plunged into terror and war, it becomes clear that the blame for this lies on his own head. He’s now an outcast to the Rakyat in a world that terrifies him, there’s no one to help him but himself.
1987 - 2019 - IMMORTALITY
It takes several more deaths before Charley accepts the curse and begins to revert back to the man he was when tossed from the skiff. People he formed friendships with are killed or enslaved, forced into prostitution or sold. Hoyt’s privateers control the northern island with an iron fist as work begins to build Hoyt’s empire on the southern sister island. More hellish men arrive, among them Buck Hughes whom Charley spends several months under the ‘care’ of before escaping with new scars, healed and now permanent. Deep seated traumas intensify and keeping meaningful relationships become nearly impossible as his own fears drive him away. Charley watches an island he once loved fall into chaos and disarray, Rakyat he once broke bread with now at best treat him like a pariah if they don’t shoot him outright. It isn’t until it’s far too late that he hears of the queen’s death, Citra’s overtaking of the Rakyat, and Hoyt’s brutal twisting of Vaas’ mind.

AIOU Solved Assignment code MA 671 Spring 2020 Assignment 1& 2  Course:Educational Psychology (671) M.A Special education Spring 2020. AIOU past papers
AIOU SOLVED ASSIGNMENT No:  1& 2 Educational Psychology (671) M.A Special education Spring, 2020
AIOU Solved Assignment 1 & 2 Code 8617 Spring 2020
Selecting a Text When selecting a literary work to illustrate your course materials, consider both its applicability and the reading level of your students. If you are considering the psychology of gender, for example, you might choose either Virginia Woolf’s “Orlando” or Ursula K. LeGuin’s “The Left Hand of Darkness.” The Woolf novel, about an Elizabethan courtier who begins life as a man but inexplicably becomes female, is better suited to advanced or college-level students. The LeGuin, a science-fiction novel of a planet where the people are genderless except during their monthly reproductive cycle, is more accessible to high schoolers. Check Also: AIOU Defining a Goal Determine in advance what your goal is for the assignment. You might choose to have your students select a number of characters from the work and categorize their psychological condition. For an alternative approach, you might assign each student a single character, such as Raskolnikov from Dostoyevsky’s “Crime and Punishment,” and have them explain the development of his psychological state through the novel. For a more challenging project, have them analyze an unreliable narrator, such as the protagonist of Kazuo Ishiguro’s “A Pale View of Hills. Critical Thinking
AIOU Solved Assignment 1 Code 8617 Spring 2020
A potential criticism of literary works as a teaching tool is that they can be misleading. While the characters can present vivid and apparently realistic examples of specific behaviors or psychological conditions, it’s important to remember that they are not real, living people and their actions are limited by the author’s imagination. However, this apparent weakness can constitute an important strength. It requires students to exercise critical thinking, exactly as they would when interviewing a patient or research subject. If you can guide them to an understanding of this during classroom discussions, their education will be enriched by it. If you become a regular classroom teacher, you will come into contact with one or more students who are exceptional. There are many different types of exceptional students, including the gifted and talented, as well as students experiencing sensory handicaps, communication disorders, physical and health impairments, behavior disorders, learning disabilities, and mental retardation. Check Also: AIOU Tutor Examples of education psychology Every academic discipline, from literature and history to sociology and theology, has competing theories or schools of thought: perspectives from which to study the subject. Psychology, the study of the mind, has hundreds of theories and sub theories, but it is possible to identify six main schools of thought every psychology student should know.
AIOU Solved Assignment Code 8617 Spring 2020
Functionalism Functionalism has the most influence of any theory in contemporary psychology. Psychological functionalism attempts to describe thoughts and what they do without asking how they do it. For functionalists, the mind resembles a computer, and to understand its processes, you need to look at the software — what it does — without having to understand the hardware — the why and how underlying it. Gestalt Psychology According to Gestalt psychologists, the human mind works by interpreting data through various laws, rules or organizing principles, turning partial information into a whole. For example, your mind might interpret a series of lines as a square, even though it has no complete lines; your mind fills in the gaps. Gestalt psychotherapists apply this logic to problem-solving to help patients. Psychoanalysis Psychoanalytic theory, which originated with Sigmund Freud, explains human behavior by looking at the subconscious mind. Freud suggested that the instinct to pursue pleasure.

Russian Underground Sells Disinformation Services to Influence Western Media
Engaging threat actors to launch a disinformation campaign in the Western media is “alarmingly simple and inexpensive” according to a new report.
Using the Recorded Future platform, Insikt Group researchers set up a fake company located in a Western country to gain insight into the chilling world of disinformation. Researchers then hired two sophisticated disinformation vendors, which they found on a Russian-speaking underground forum, to influence public perception of the fictitious company.
The first vendor, given the code name Raskolnikov in the report (presumably as a nod to Dostoevsky’s protagonist in Crime and Punishment), was engaged to paint a positive picture of the company. The second vendor, code-named Doctor Zhivago, was hired to destroy the reputation of the company, which was code-named Tyrell Corporation in the report.
Researchers were able to launch a customizable month-long media campaign with each vendor for only a few thousand dollars. Services ranged from $8 for a social media post to $1,500 for SEO services and traditional media articles.
Raskolnikov created accounts for Tyrell Corporation on major Western social media platforms and gathered over 100 followers on each account. They offered a price list for sharing content on 45 websites, including ft.com, thelondoneconomic.com, eveningexpress.co.uk, and thefintechtimes.com.
Insikt Group researchers said: “In two weeks, the Tyrell Corporation was in the ‘news’—one of the media sources was a less established media outlet, though the other was a very reputable source that had published a newspaper for nearly a century.”
Doctor Zhivago claimed to work with a team that included journalists, editors, translators, search engine optimization (SEO) specialists, and hackers. The threat actor used social media to spread claims that Tyrell Corporation had manipulated employees, and even offered to file a complaint against the company for its supposed involvement in human trafficking.
Researchers said: “First, a group of older accounts—referred to as ‘aged accounts’— that posted links to the articles they had published in media sources was employed. Then, a new batch of accounts that reposted content from the aforementioned aged accounts to amplify the messages was used.
“These new accounts befriended citizens living in the same country the Tyrell Corporation was located in to make the campaign more effective by targeting the audience.”
Based on the predictions of the researchers, it seems we are transitioning from an era in which you can’t believe everything in the media to one in which you can’t believe anything at all.
The researchers said: “We predict that disinformation as a service will spread from a nation–state tool to one increasingly used by private individuals and entities, given how easy it is to implement.”
