Dark Platonic Father! 001/ Vecna/ Henry Creel/Peter Ballard
Tumblr media
Your mother was the daughter of Dr Brenner, she died giving birth to you when she was eighteen.
Dr. Brenner kept the identity of your father away from you for some unknown reason.
The only thing you take after your father is his last name, Creel.
You barely had a normal life growing up in the lab, yes your grandfather treated you kindly and let you grow without having a tattoed number on your wrist or to shave your hair.
But still, you were stuck in the lab with him, making you have no friends except for the kids in the lab.
On the other hand, there's Peter who always keeps an eye on you, giving you his full attention 24/7.
If you get hurt or sick, he will take care of you and stay by your side, even when you were young he would read you bedtime stories.
You never thought much of it when you were young, now fifteen, doubts start to settle in.
Knowing that your grandfather won't give you any information about your father, you decided to Peter, thinking he will know.
But get an unexpected reply.
"I'm your father, (Y/n)"
Of course, you don't believe him at first, thinking that he is joking.
But when he reveals his true identity, manipulating you into believing that Dr Brenner is the real reason for your mother's suffering.
"Don't worry, once we get out of here, I will be the father you always wished for"

Tumblr media
(Dad! Peter Ballard + child!reader)
Y/n Ballard stayed in the lab, yet she wasn’t one of the children with the powers. She only stayed there because her father wasn’t allowed to leave. And although she was grateful for a dad like Peter, she wasn’t as close with him as she had wanted to be. He was always closer with Eleven. And she was jealous. Whenever she was in the rainbow room, he would always be sitting with Eleven, talking to her instead. The only time he’d talk to her is to say goodnight. That’s it. She was a bit older than the other kids, with her being almost 13. But she still needed her dad.
Y/n walked into her room and slammed the door (as much as she could, it’s kind of hard to slam lab doors) and flopped on her bed, beginning to cry. She was having a bad day, and she couldn’t even let Peter know about it, because he was busy. Like always. However, this time, Peter knew something was wrong. So, he made her way to her room and knocked. “Y/n? Are you in there? Can I come in?” He waited for her answer, and when he heard a quiet ‘yes’ he walked in. He sat at the end of her bed. “What’s wrong? Why are you crying?” He asked, god he was so clueless. With that question, y/n just said what went through her head.
“Why am I so unimportant to you? Why do you choose random kids over me? I understand they have powers and they need support but so do I. I have no friends here! No one to talk to! I’m on my own every day! Every day I sit in that rainbow room and watch as you play games with other kids, watch you ask other kids how their day was! Well what about me?! I’m sorry I don’t have cool powers like eleven. I’m sorry I don’t matter as much as the rest of them! You never talk to me! I feel like I barely know you! and I feel like you barely know me sometimes too. What’s my favourite colour? My favourite song? When’s my birthday? What’s my favourite hobby? It seems like you’ve forgotten that I’m your daughter. Biological daughter. I feel like I can’t even call you dad anymore! I just want to know why I’m so invisible to you! God, I haven’t even met my mom!” And with that, she let out a big breath and lay back on the bed, trying her hardest not to let any more tears fall.
Peter on the other hand, was shocked. He had no idea she felt like this, how was he supposed to fix this? He looked at y/n and frowned. He was disappointed with himself. He forgot to be a father to his own child. He left her to deal with herself. He wanted to prove to her that he knew her. “I know that your favourite colour is (favourite colour). Your favourite song is (favourite song). Your birthday is (birthday), and you love (hobby). Believe me when I say I haven’t forgotten you’re my daughter. You’re the most important person in my life, and I’m so very sorry I didn’t help you realise that. You’re an incredible person, and I’m sorry. When you were born, I had no idea how to be a father. I had to learn on my own too, but I wouldn’t change it for the world. I love you more than anything, and I’ll do absolutely anything if it meant you’d be safe. And as for your mother, she used to work here too. She was a nurse, while I was a guard. After she gave birth to you, she was taken to a room and never came out. So it was just me who took care of you. I wish she could have known you properly.” Peter teared up, he missed y/n’s mother, so much. He wanted to escape with her. Y/n’s lip quivered, but Peter continued.
“When I found out your mother was pregnant, I insisted that we escape together. So we could raise you right. But the trackers in our necks wouldn’t allow us to. But believe me when I say I am so, so sorry. I love you more than anything and I promised to protect you, that’s exactly what I’ll do. I’ll be better from now on. I just need you to trust me.” He said, with sincerity laced in his voice. Y/n nodded.
“I trust you.” Peter smiled, and hugged her. Their bond was never really broken.
A/N: im SORRU if this wasn’t exactly what you wanted, please request again if you’d want headcannoms of Peter as a dad or something like that!!🤗🤗🫶🏽

The Secret (Henry/Peter/001 x reader)
Tumblr media
(Au: You and Peter had a secret relationship in the lab and after a night of roughness. You soon find out your pregnant and with a help one of the other nurses you get free from the lab. Only for a few months later for Peter to find you...)
Peter Ballard/Henry Creel/001 x Reader
(Warning: Pregnancy, getting sick, a lil spicy and a lil dark, Fluff, angst)
"Y/n? Are you feeling alright?" Katherine one of the nurses and a good friend you worked along with asked.
"I-I'm not sure.." you replied
"Why don't you come out, when your done and I will take you home." She said.
Once, it was time to leave you were in the car with Katherine sting to your house.
"How long as this been going on." Katherine asked.
"A few weeks, I originally thought it was a stomach bug or something b-but now I don't know what it is."
"How about I do a pregnancy test because, y/n getting sick could be 'morning' sickness for the reason that it can hit you at any moment of the day and I say this with all do respect it is just from what I know about pregnancy your stomach being a little more bloated than before." She explained.
"I was afraid of that.. if I am actually pregnant what am I going to do? Brenn-"
"I will deal with Brenner, we will figure it out after I run the test tomorrow. Then we will figure it out okay?" I sighed and nodded. Turning to look out the window.
Well, tomorrow came sooner then expected. You had just taken the sample for Katherine to test it as of now you were waiting for the results. About an hour later Katherine came in.
"Well.. congratulations Y/n you are pregnant." She said, as you started to tear up.
"What am i going to do?" You broke down sobbing "I can't go back Br-brenner will kill me, he will kill Henry as well omg what how am I going to do th-" "y/n look I will deal with Brenner. You won't be going back to the lab and my mother works in a secrade hospital not far from Hawkins. I will take you there for your appointments and when you give birth. And wait did you say it was Henry's child?" She said/asked. You nodded sobbing even more as she hugged you comforting you.
"It will be okay, I promise.. I just didn't know you two were that close. I mean I knew something was going on but-" "it started not long after I started working at the lab, from what went from little chats, to secret kisses, led to more so much more.. I fell for him.." I said answering all her questions. She nodded and made me look at her.
"We are going to do this. I promise everything will be alright. You just have to trust me. And not get so worried and stress and I know it's hard do to the circumstances but it's not good for you or the baby." You nodded as she pulled you into a hug.
That's when you knew you felt protected and finally had a true best friend for life.
(And she was your best friend for life as well as the godmother/aunt of your child!)
(1 year later)

Katherine was right everything was alright. You as well as Katherine ended up quitting the lab it turned out Brenner was going to fire you anyways and Katherine used a 'excuse' saying she had family emergency that she had to leave. Over the course of your pregnancy, Katherine took you to your appointments as promised. She even did a little baby shower for you revealing you were having a girl! You also made her cry surprising her with being the godmother. And October. 25, 1978 Hayley Grace L/n was born and you couldn’t be more happier. Though you did wish Henry was there with you through the whole pregnancy..
Now, Y/n was currently in the living room resting while, she was reading a new book
While, her 3 month old daughter Hayley was sound a sleep in crib. It was hard and it did make fear a very common feeling knowing Dr. Brenner was still out their. Though Katherine has confirmed multiple times that he has forgotten about you. You still had fear, fear that he would find out about yours and Henry's child, and take her away while harming or worse killing you along the side. Fear that Henry is going to come.
You did fall for Henry and loved him but, he was very possessive, harsh at times... back in the lab, you couldn't have a conversation with any of the other staff more so the male staff or there would be consequences, jealousy, possessiveness, lying, manipulation, controlling, Brenner always having an eye on him... there was always something about him you always were wary about but, you still fell for him.. hard.. no matter all of the clear warning signs..
Your thoughts were interrupted when you heard crying from Hayley's room. You quickly got up and went to check on her. Turning the knob going over to her crib, only for a hand to grab your wrists and the other over your mouth. The persons lips kissed from your shoulder blade, to your neck, up to your ear.
"I promised, I would always find you..." you gasped hearing the voice of the man you thought and slightly hoped to never hear again.
You slowly turned around with your hands still gripped to the crib. Meeting his perfect blue eyes in the pitch black room.
"Have to admit you have quite the life.. but I never expected you to break my rules... darling.." Henry said looking at the crib. Your eyes widened at that action as well as shocked that he did not know she was his daughter.
"H-Henry please can we talk outside.. p-please.." You asked in a shaky voice. He looked at you for a moment before leaning in to your ear.
"God, I missed hearing you beg.." he whispered  seductively making you shudder. "But lead the way darling."
You both walked out of the room and into your room only for him to slam you into the wall with his hand around your neck.
"So who's is it? You know what I can do darling.. your mine! No gets to have you except me."
"So does that mean you would kill your self?" You asked, looked at you confused before slow loosening his grip so you could continue.
"Do you remember before, I left how I wasn't feeling well?" He nodded. "Well, it wasn't a stomach bug like we had thought. The one afternoon not long before we got off, Katherine who I worked with in the infirmary room has found me in the ladies room. That night when we got off, she drove me home. The following day she ran a pregnancy test on me.. it came back positive." He looked at you in disbelief.
"The child is mine?" He asked.
"Who else's would it be?" I asked.
"And I left because I was afraid. Afraid how you would take it.. but more importantly I was afra-terrified of what Brenner would do to us and our baby, I didn't want to stay there and have our child be taken away, tested on, both Of us murdered."
Before you could continue his lips smashed onto yours harshly and passionately. You pushed him away, only to bring him back into the kiss. He picked you up as you wrapped your legs around him as he walk you both over to your now soon to be shared bed as he laid you down climbing on top of you.
That night you both reconnected in a way that no words could bring into perspective. Close to each other once more.
The next morning, you woke up in strong arms wrapped around you as well as some one kissing your shoulder. You turned over to see him. Though the moment did not last long when you heard crying. You got up and put on your under garments as well as your robe.
"Why don't he get dressed and meet your daughter." You said looking back at Henry with a smile before leaving.
You heard the door creak open more and turned around while holding Hayley to see Henry. He slowly walked up to you looking at you then to the little girl in your arms.
"Hold out your arms." You said seeing him hesitate for a moment before doing so.
You placed Hayley in his arms seeing as he tensed as you did. Only to see him relax and you knew that it was official he knew she was his. Knowing of his powers once he's close to them.
"Her name is Hayley Grace L/n.. I didn't really know what to put for her last name so I took the safer route or the safest one and put mine." You spoke while admiring there interaction.
You saw Hayley's little arm stretch outward grabbing onto his finger with her blue eyes looking up at him while he did the same.
You see her yawn he gave you Hayley back as you started to rock her to sleep. As he came up behind you wrapping his arms around your waist watching the two of you as your daughter fell back to sleep.
And, for once, Henry Creel felt like he had everything he wanted.. forgetting about his original plans.. he finally had a family who wanted him for him. Not caring about his powers, no judgment.. just love. He finally saw the good in the cruel world for once and nothing will come in between that or his family..

Chapter 25-
Tumblr media
The group migrated from the Munson trailer to the Mayfield’s across the road. Susan wasn’t home and nobody knew where else to go.
Steve was busy consulting Nancy who was still in a state of panic and totally freaking out after facing Vecna. You didn't blame her in the slightest, you knew firsthand how terrifying that was. So, you gave the two of them some space and instead focused on cleaning Billy's wounds from the demo-bats.
"I told you they're just scratches. I've had worse." Billy said as you grabbed the small first aid kid that Max found in the bathroom.
"I know." You sighed, thinking back to the day his father got arrested for trying to kill him.
"Hey." Billy whispered, grabbing your shoulder, drawing your attention back to him as he gave you a gentle smile. "I'm okay. I promise."
He definitely wasn't okay. He had bite marks scattered across his left shoulder and chest. Bright crimson blood covering his once Californian sun-kissed skin and you hated it. You hated seeing him hurt like this.
"Take the jacket off. Let me clean the wounds." You instructed before pausing as you stared at the tight leather jacket that he definitely hadn't been wearing earlier. "Wait, where did you get this leather jacket? This isn't yours."
"It's Munson's."
You glanced over at Eddie who was sitting on the couch, and you realised he was only wearing his Hellfire Club shirt now, his usual leather jacket and denim vest gone.
"Aww, cute. Are you guys sharing clothes now?" You asked in amusement.
"Jealous your boy is wearing my jacket?" Eddie teased, playing along with a grin.
"Shut up, Munson. Steve is wearing your vest right now. This ain't special." Billy muttered, glaring at the other man, but there was no heat behind it and Eddie just laughed.
He shrugged off the leather jacket with a wince. The blood stuck to the inside of the leather and you grimaced, feeling his pain before he got the jacket off, leaving himself standing shirtless in the Mayfield trailer.
Robin and the kids all turned away, giving the two of you as much privacy as the small trailer could allow before you opened the first aid kit and got to work.
Billy stood still while you disinfected the wounds and wiped away the blood. Did demo-bats have diseases? If so, him and Steve should probably get that checked out once all of this was over.
"Ow, easy." Billy hissed when you wrapped the bandage around the worst of the wounds on his shoulder.
"I thought you said it was just a few scratches?" You asked, raising your eyebrows at him.
"Doesn't mean they don't fucking hurt." He grunted, looking down at you, his expression softening a little. "I, uh, look. I-I need to apologise. I'm sorry for making you stay behind, I just... I... I can't lose you, baby. I can't."
"You won't." You insisted, tying off the bandage before you cradled his face with your hands and smiled. "You won't lose me, but you're not sidelining me again, got it? Whatever happens, we're in it together. Promise me."
"I promise."
"Good. Now, put this back on. I think your sister is sick of seeing you shirtless." You instructed, handing him the leather jacket.
"Understatement of the century." Max called out from across the room.
"Nobody asked for your input, shitbird." Billy said back.
Max flipped him off and Billy rolled his eyes, but flipped her off too causing you to laugh. Steve walked back into the main room with Nancy who looked calmer, but still had that panicked look in her eye which you could relate to on a personal level.
She began to tell you all what Vecna had showed her, and your jaw dropped when she revealed that he was actually Victor Creel's son, Henry. But the most surprising part of it all was that he was also in the lab with El. He was 001.
"Vecna... he showed me things that haven't happened yet. He wasn't trying to kill me like with Y/N, he was showing me things. The most awful things." Nancy began to say as she sat down on the couch across the room, Steve and Billy joining Eddie on the other lounge while you remained standing by Max and listened as Nancy continued explaining.
"I saw a dark cloud spreading over Hawkins. Downtown on fire. Dead soldiers. And this... giant creature with a gaping mouth. And this wasn't alone. There were so many monsters. An army. and they were coming into Hawkins. Into our neighbourhoods. Our homes. And then... he showed me my mum. Holly. Mike. And they... they were all..."
"Okay, but... he's just trying to scare you, Nance." Steve said calmly when Nancy stopped talking, silent tears falling down her face. "I mean, it's not real."
"Not yet." Nancy replied, looking over at him. "But there was something else. He showed me gates. Four gates. Spreading across Hawkins. And these gates, they looked like the one outside of Eddie's trailer, but they didn't stop growling. And this wasn't the Upside down Hawkins. This was our Hawkins. Our home."
Nobody said anything for a few seconds, processing what Nancy had just said.
Vecna hadn't cursed her like he did with you. Vecna was showing her something. He was sending a message.
"Four chimes." You said in sudden realisation. "Vecna's clock. It always chimes four times. Four exactly. He's been telling us his plan this whole time."
"Four kills. Four gates." Lucas said, catching on with what you were thinking.
"End of the world." Max added and you nodded with a sinking feeling in your stomach.
"If that's true... he's only one kill away." Dustin pointed out.
"Oh Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ." Eddie mumbled into his hands while Billy just shook his head, refusing to believe it.
"Try them again. Try them again." Steve instructed, pointing at the phone on the wall which you had used too many times to count to call the Byers house back in California, but the line was always busy.
You dialled their number a few more times just to make sure, but again, it just gave you the busy signal.
"This can't just be a coincidence." Nancy said, standing up from the couch and walking over to the window. "Whatever's happening in Lenora is connected to all of this. I'm sure of it. But Vecna can't hurt them. Not if he's dead."
"Yeah, how?" You asked, folding your arms across your chest as Nancy turned back towards the rest of you. "How do we kill him?"
"We have to go back in there. Back to the Upside Down."
"Whoa, no, no, no. What?" Steve exclaimed in shock.
Eddie shook his head in refusal, "nope. Nope."
"Are you drunk, stoned or just stupid, Wheeler? We are not going back there." Billy stated, his voice leaving no room for arguing.
"Let's just think this through-" Steve started to say, standing up from the couch and walking over to Nancy who just shook her head.
"What is there to think through?"
"You guys barely made it out alive! Steve and Billy are hurt and-" You began to say before Nancy cut you off.
"Yeah, because we weren't prepared. But this time, we will be. We'll get weapons and protection. We'll go through the gate, we'll find his lair, and we'll kill him."
"Or he will kill us. The only reason you survived is because he wanted you to. He's not scared of us." Steve responded.
"And for good reason." Robin piped up. "We were wrong about Vecna. Henry. One. Sorry, what are we calling him now?"
"One."
"Vecna."
"One."
"Henry."
Everyone all answered in sync causing Robin to roll her eyes, "Right. We've learned something new about Vecna/Henry/One. He's a number like Eleven, only a sick, evil, male, child-murdering version of her with really bad skin. But, my-my point is, he's super powerful. He could turn us inside out with a snap of his fingers. It's not a fair fight."
"So then why fight fair?" Dustin suddenly asked. "You're right. He's like Eleven. But that gives us an upper hand. We know Eleven's strengths and weaknesses."
"Weaknesses?" Erica questioned.
"When El remote-travels, she goes into this sort of trance-like state. I bet the same is true of Vecna."
"That would explain what he was doing in that attic." Lucas pointed out and Dustin nodded.
"Exactly. When he attacks his next victim, I'll bet you he's back in that attic, physical body defenceless."
"Defenceless? What about the army of bats?" Steve questioned, motioning towards the bruising around his neck before pointing at Billy's bandages.
"Right, true. We'll have to find a way past them. Distract them somehow."
"And, uh, how do we do that, exactly?" Eddie asked, starting to stand up from the couch.
"No idea." Dustin answered and Eddie simply nodded and plonked himself right back down on the couch beside Billy. "But, once they're gone, he doesn't stand a chance. It'll be like slaying sleeping Dracula in his coffin."
"That all sounds good in theory, but there is no pattern to Vecna's killings. I mean, at least not one that I can decipher. We don't know when he's going to attack next. We don't even know who he's going to attack next-"
"Yeah, we do." You said, cutting off Robin's rambling. "I can still feel him. I'm still marked. Cursed. I ditch Kate Bush. I draw his focus back to me."
"Y/N." Billy said, his voice like a warning as he looked over at you. "You can't. He'll kill you."
"I survived before. I can do it again."
"No. This isn't happening." He stated, getting to his feet and walking over to you. "This is not happening."
"You promised you weren't going to sideline me again. I'm doing this."
"I didn’t promise shit about you being bait for Vecna!" Billy shouted, getting worked up as he rubbed his face with his hands and sighed. "I'm not letting you do this."
"It's not up to you."
"I hate to admit it, but I agree with Hargrove. This is too dangerous." Steve spoke up.
"I second that." Eddie added.
"If anyone has any better ideas, then let me hear it." You said, looking around and they all just lowered their heads in silence. "That's what I thought."
"You're not doing this." Billy stated sternly, his voice deadly serious.
"Yes, I am."
Billy's mouth pinched shut as though he was holding back what he really wanted to say before he just shook his head and stormed out the room.
"Hey! You're still a wanted man, don't go outside!" Steve shouted after him and Billy turned away from the front door and walked into the bedroom instead, slamming the door shut behind him.
You all just stood there in silence for a few seconds, everyone looking around at each other before you sighed and broke the silence.
"I just need to keep Vecna busy long enough so that you guys can get into that attic. Then you can kill him, I don't care how you do it, but whatever you do, try not to miss." You said, giving them a small encouraging smile.
You didn't wait for Steve or Eddie to try and argue again, instead, you turned and went after Billy to find him standing with his back to the door as he stared out the window of the spare bedroom. His body was tense to the point of nearly shaking and before you could say anything, he started talking.
"I don't want you to do this."
His voice had lost all the anger and volume from earlier. Now it just sounded raw and broken which made your heart shatter.
"I know." You replied softly, walking into the room.
He sucked in a shaky breath before he turned to face you, those ocean blue eyes glistening with unshed tears, "I-I can't lose you. Not after everything, not after everything we've been through. I can't, baby. I can't. I'd rather fucking die than live without you, you have to know that."
His words hit hard, and you felt your eyes starting to sting a little, but you refused to cry. At least one of you needed to stay centred right now and it definitely wasn't going to be Billy.
You walked the remaining distance to him and lifted your hand, brushing away the stray tear that slipped down his cheek. He leant into your touch and closed his eyes, taking in a few shallow, shaky breaths.
"You're the best thing that ever happened to me and I don't- I can't live without you." He whispered, opening his eyes as tears fell down his face.
You brushed them away with your thumb and leant forward, placing a gentle kiss on his lips before you pulled away and took a step back.
"What did you think the first time you saw me?" You asked causing Billy to frown a little at the random question before he began to smile through the tears.
"I thought you were the most beautiful girl I've ever seen."
You smiled softly at his words, but before you could say anything, he continued talking.
"I fell in love with you the first time I saw you. When I pulled up to that gas station and saw you leaning against the Mustang. That's when I knew. You're the most amazing, beautiful girl I've ever met and for some reason you chose me. I love you Y/N, and I can't lose you."
"I've lost a lot of people that I love." You began to say with a sad smile. "My little sister Sara… my mum... my dad. And someone once told me that the scariest part about loving someone is knowing that you're going to lose them someday. But, today is not that day, got it?"
Billy shook his head, "you don't know that."
"Yes, I do. You want to know how I do? Because I have you. Because I have El back home. Because I have all those guys in that other room to fight for. I have you to fight for and I survived Vecna before, I know what to expect, I can do it again."
Billy looked like he wanted to argue, but to your relief he simply nodded and took in a deep breath before rubbing his face with his hands and getting rid of the tears in his eyes.
You stood with him in the spare room for a few minutes, letting him compose himself a little before the two of you walked back out into the main room where the others were huddled around Eddie who was pointing at the phone book on the table.
"Uh, what's going on?" You asked, stopping in front of them.
"We're going to The Warzone to get supplies. Eddie's idea." Max answered, also walking back into the room before tossing Eddie her old Michael Myers Halloween mask and ditching what looked to be a ski-mask at Billy.
Billy caught the mask a second before it hit his face and looked down at it in confusion.
"You guys are wanted by the police. You need to cover up before we go out there."
"Why do I get the dirty ski-mask and Munson gets Michael Myers?"
"Because he's cooler than you." Max easily answered.
"Suck it, California. Your sister thinks I'm cooler than you." Eddie grinned.
"You are not my favourite person right now." Billy deadpanned, pointing at him.
"I'm never your favourite person." Eddie easily responded before he pulled on the mask. "C'mon, let's go steal a Winnebago."
Wait, did he just say steal a Winnebago?
You glanced over at Billy who looked as confused as you were before he just shrugged his shoulders and slipped on the ski-mask.
Eddie led the way through the Trailer Park, you all following him blindly before he stopped around the back of a large RV and climbed in through the side window, the rest of you doing the same.
"That was suffocating." Eddie gasped, yanking the Michael Myers mask off.
"Try wearing this thing." Billy muttered, ripping his own mask off and tossing it to the side. "What's the plan?"
"Steal this RV and not get caught."
"Brilliant plan." You whispered sarcastically as you and Billy followed Eddie down the front of the RV while the others all climbed inside through the back window.
Eddie reached over and locked the front door where the owners of the vehicle were sitting under the foldout awning before he jumped into the driver's seat.
You watched as Eddie grabbed the wires out from underneath the wheel and began to cut specific ones with a pair of pliers that he had grabbed from the Mayfield trailer earlier.
"Where'd you learn how to do this?" Steve asked, appearing between you all.
"Well, when the other dads were teaching their kids how to fish or play ball. my old man was teaching me how to hotwire." Eddie answered while twisting and cutting the wires in his hand. "Now, I swore to myself I wouldn't wind up like he did, but now I'm wanted for murder and soon, grand theft auto. So, uh, I'm really living up to that Munson name."
"Uh, Eddie, I'm not sure I love the idea of you driving." Robin commented from behind you somewhere.
"Oh, I'm just starting this sucker. Hargrove's got her. Don't ya, big boy?" Eddie said, grinning ear to ear and leaning towards Billy as he spoke.
You snorted softly as Billy raised his eyebrows at the other man.
“I’ve seen Hargrove drive. I don’t think-“
Steve didn’t get to finish his sentence before Eddie tapped the two wires together and the RV roared to life, music blasting through the stereo.
"What the hell? Hey! Open this door!" A very angry woman shouted before she started to bang on the locked door.
"Shit. Move. Move!" Billy ordered, grabbing Eddie by the back of his shirt and pulling him out the front seat as Eddie started to laugh before Billy jumped into the driver's seat.
"Everybody hang onto something!" Steve shouted, sitting down in the passenger seat before turning to Billy. "Do you know how to drive this?"
"Nope."
Well, at least he was honest.
"Drive, Billy! Drive!" Max and the kids shouted.
Billy put his foot down on the accelerator and you stumbled backwards from where you were standing. Eddie quickly grabbed your arm, pulling you over to the couch he was sitting on, saving you from falling ass up on the floor of the RV while Billy peeled out the Trailer Park like a bat out of hell.

Okay so I had this idea for a long time, and by long I mean long..
So maybe reader is the adopted daughter of the wheelers and one years younger than Nancy but also a little older than Mike, and she was relatively a smart kid, she was in the year Nancy was, which made her great friends with Barbara, but she hated Steve as she felt that he was just using his sister, and the most famous thing about reader was that she was very protective of her siblings. But when Jonathan had a fight with Steve and reader got to know that he wasn't so bad when she saw him erasing all that stuff and even helped his sister, Jonathan and her to fight the monster in the Byers' house, reader became friends with him, but at the end of the season 1,reader was kidnapped by a secret agency, who had found out that reader had powers as reader was originally from England, and her parents were scientists, so when they were experimenting one day, reader came in their lab and accidentally drank a weird solution which made her have powers like Eleven and even controlling elements like water, fire, grass. Reader was actually a year younger than Henry creel, she was also great friends with him, of course she being the talkative one, the day Henry killed his parents? He also killed reader's, she ran away from him, which he obviously didn't like and she met with the same agency who had kidnapped her later on again, they had freeze reader in ice like captain America, but then one scientist opened her case and she ran away to an orphanage, where she met the wheelers. Now, reader comes back at the last episode of season Two, and she becomes friends with Billy, and grows a crush on him, (Billy and Mrs. Wheeler arc isn't here, just.. No..) and Billy offers her for a private swim session, when he sees her swimming, reader then agrees saying she already knew but extra won't harm, she also gets flashbacks of the time when she was forced to learn swimming in England's cold water by them when Billy asks her how she knew it so well, later on, she knew something was wrong with Billy and when Mike and his friends lock Billy in the sauna, reader tries comfort him, but when it gets activated she saves his brother and her friends, with the help of Eleven. She tries to help Billy but he runs away, She later on also meets Steve and the rest, who ere equally shocked to see reader come back, and she had turned more pretty, including the fact that she literally had to massacre the lab to come back, and she saved the rest of the children who were there with her, sadly Billy dies, which creates a huge impact on reader as Steve watches her break in the background, knowing that he sadly fell in love with her and then he also watches her fall for the freak Eddie, and become friends with Chrissy, and reader went to the upside down with Chrissy, so when Chrissy died and reader fainted, Eddie took her with him and hid, and reader introduced Eddie to them, when Reader went to upside down with Max, she wasn't able to find her, but then she felt a hand on her shoulder and saw Billy there, who guided her to his sister, reader helped max get out and Steve again had to watch as Reader mourned for Eddie as she kept mumbling 'Not again..' but then to everyone's shock, The upside down took over and two most unexpected people came out... Billy and Eddie
oh my god. this ^^ i love the ending sm. the depth omg >>>>

Summer break...
1959
Hawkins, Indiana 6:00 p.m.
It was summer break for your school, everyone was on vacation, leaving their houses for weeks, children's excited screams in your neighborhood, teens driving their cars, typical summer days.
You? lying on the sofa for God knows how long. Your family was branded as one of the richest people on the list, people nor police officers dare to speak ill behind your backs as they would face severe punishments in return.
"I heard we have a new neighbor coming today" I get up, "Oh, yes, yes, we do have, I heard they were also listed as a wealthy family too." Diane laughs.
"Shouldn't we give them a something as a welcoming gift?" She leans to my father.
After mother died, father has been collecting gold-digging sluts from around the town. Party here and party there. It seems that mother was the only one working for their relationship. Diane was the only one that stayed long and even considered me as her daughter.
"I'll come." I approach them. Diane looks at me.
"That's a very good idea, I'll bake them a cake while Y/N can give it to them!" she beams. I only volunteered to do this seeing that I have nothing to do in this hell hole.
{Holy Time Skip}
"Here" Diane hands me a home-made cake of hers. "Make sure to be polite to them ok?" She pats my head. Diane sure looks mesmerizing on the outside ,but, if I don't be careful, she can stab me in the back and all I know is that I am now in the streets begging for food and pennies.
"Sure, sure". I proceed to head to the designated target, their house was just 5 blocks from us, It was huge but not too huge that it'll surpass mine. ╰(‵□′)╯
The house was colored blue with white as the secondary color. It had a fancy parking lot, and a big backyard with a playground as the front yard.
~Ding, Dong~ ╰(*°▽°*)╯
"Oh? good evening darling" A woman appeared before me, most likely in her 30's.
She has a short auburn colored hair with a headband secured to it, wearing a baby blue dress that sways when a breeze comes by. Blue eyes that shimmers upon the moonlight.
"Are you okay little girl?" she waves her hands. "O-oh I'm sorry, this-" I show her the cake, "This is a welcoming gift from my..".
"My mom" I internally cringe as it left my mouth. "Oh thank you dear, this looks delicious, why don't you come in?" she opens the door wider. "Oh, no need Mrs. ?"
"Virginia, Virginia Creel" She shakes my hand. "No need for that Mrs. Creel" I chuckle.
"It's getting late, I just needed to give it to you" "Well- if you insist, but please visit us again, I'd love to introduce my children to you" She waves goodbye and closes the door.
↞•••••↠
"So how was it?" Father glances to me. "It was fine." I replied. "Give me the details" He flips a page of his newspaper.
"The lady that handled the cake was nice to me, she was so pretty." Diane chuckles. "Did she like my cake?". "She did, she looked so happy.."
"She looks like mothe-". Before I could even finish, ather intruded.
"Don't ever mention her in front of me" he grips my mouth along with my chin. Tears threaten to slide down my eyes but I won't let it, no one wants a person who just cries easily as babies does.
"Understand?" He tightens his hold. "Father-.. It hurts-" I stammer.
"DO.YOU.UNDERSTAND!" He retorted. Fucking bitch. I thought.
"Y-yes father" I quickly nod. "Go to your room before I do anything worse" he loosens his grip.
"Old fucking man has the guts to do that" I hissed as I run upstairs.
"You didn't have to do that hun" Diane consoled.
He has been like this ever since mother died, Whoever mentions her or even at least describes her in some way he'll get mad just like now.
I lie down my bed and slowly drift of to wonderland.
{Time Skip}
7:34 a.m.
Hawkins, Indiana. L/N Estate. {Note: Think of anything you want to wear but in the 1950's era dynamic}
I woke up in a good mood whilst what happened last night. I groggily stand up and made my way to clothe myself. I wore my usual attire in this hot summer.
I went down and was met with a sight of a bountiful breakfast. "Oh? Good Morning Y/N" Diane wipes her hands on her apron.
"Morning" I yawn. "Your Father went to a business trip". "What? why so sudden?" I scratch my head.
"Yes, I was also shocked that the office called last night, they said it was urgent" she says as she hands me a piece of bread. "Thanks" I really love it when Diane cooks for us, her food tastes like a 100 star restaurant. q(≧▽≦q)
"By the way.." She looks at me "Hm?"
"I have to go somewhere later, so you'll have to take care of yourself".
"Sure. But when will you be back?"
"I'll be home at 4 afternoon, make sure to eat ok?" I nod.
~~
"Goodbye" I wave. I continue to watch her as she disappears from my sight.
"I'm bored!" A girl's voice complained. "Then go play with your dolls" then a boy's voice chimes in. I peek through the thin hedges between the houses and saw two children. One playing with dolls and another one reading a book on a swing.
"Children.." I smirk.
I sneak behind the boy's back just to make sure he doesn't run away the moment he sees me.
"Hello" I pat the his shoulder. He turns around with a small frown plastered on his face.
"What's your name?" Damn, I sound like a kidnapper, I thought.
"Why would I tell you my name?" He raises one of his eyebrows. "My name is Y/N L/N, I live just 5 blocks from your house" I held out my hand but he refused it.
"You gave your name to an unknown stranger, how pathetic" he rolls his eyes. I gloom over how he couldn't just answer my DAMN QUESTION! I slowly retreat back to my house when he called for me.
"Henry" He uttered still looking at his book. "Henry Creel".
My eyes glimmer back as he answers, "Would you like to play with me!" I beamed as I approach him, "No".
"What's the book your reading?".
"None of your business"
"Can I get on the swing?"
"I got here first".
I finally made a friend.
A/N: part 2 coming soon😍

Old Friends 1-?
Tumblr media
A/N HELLO I'm back from the dead with another random fandom story! I like writing stuff but have no real motivation with a lack if ideas, so please send requests for Stranger things
Pairing- Henry Creel x reader/Y/N
Summary- You were born and raised in a rich area in Hawkins, you had a single rich mother and your neighbors spawned a weird little boy that little you had a strong curiosity about. after they passed you forgot. Until you got a job as some Creepy Lab
1959
It was a casual normal day in your boring little town.the start of spring break, nothing was new there were no new children and the house next door seemed more and more lonely than usual. You were maybe around 11, the youngest in your class and the most hated. Your mother was divorced because something she did, as a child you didnt understand but you knew the talk of the town was your house.
"Mommmm...mom I'm bored.." You sigh as you lean against the sofa. Picking at the fabric of it
"Sweetie please don't whine like that people will find it annoying..." Mother sighs and continues to work at her desk.
"Mom...mom can i go outside and play"
you get up and run towards her desk Jumping around in excitement
"No...theres a new family moving in next door I don't want you to annoy them..just go to your room and read, or draw or something.. If you must go out go in the backyard" your mother slightly pushes you away
With a quick sigh you turn around and put some shoes on. You decided to wait.. To wait for the New people and introduce yourself yo the new family on the block. And after a long time of just waiting outside ,standing on the small Tree house your father had built for you before he left, looking out onto the road you see a car pull up in the neighbors drive way
"Go time" you say to yourself
You get down and run through the back door ignoring whatever shouts your mom gave you, and went out the front door. You crouch behind the small fence on your porch and watch as the family gets out and starts unloading small items.
'A dad...a mom...a daughter...and a son" you smirk to yourself and turn back inside remembering the family you had just saw.
Now you were a weird child. Interested in Humans at a young age after learning your father was a psychologists. your mother never really liked your interest in your dad. She seemed to hate the man. And even at the young age you knew her reasons were on her not on him. Being like him was something you craved. Understanding what made the mind the way it was. To understand why your mother did what she did.
So you watched others attempting to understand.
"Hi...." You sneak up behind the new children. The boy sitting on the swing and the other little girl playing with some dolls on the play equipment.
The boy looked startled and turned around, he had a confused face on as he raised a brow
"What's your name" you creepily say
"Uh...henry. Henry Creel" he hesitates and stops himself from swaying more. You smile and lean more gripping the swing next to him, with the turf being loose begin to lose your balance with a small yelp you fall over and face plant onto the ground next to the young boy
"Are you okay?!" The boy gets up and crouches down next to you
"What's your name I can get your mom!" The boy looks around looking for a sign of a parent
"The names Y/N....L/N" you slowly get up and notice the small scrap of your forehead. You fully sit up and grab the boys hand "nice to meet you henry Welcome to Hawkins!"
The boy more than confused than ever pulls his hand away and falls back.
"Ew...henry was holding a girls hand!" The little girl gets up with her dolls and laughs
"I'm telling mom and dad!" The girl begins to run out if the playground and back to the house across the street.
"N-no! I don't know her!" Henry gets up and runs back, before leaving he turns back to you with an angry face "who are you.." He states
"Your neighbor!" You smile again as he runs Off. Getting up slowly you run back into the house, your mom confused on how you got hurt. 'I'll make him my friend' you think to yourself.
You begin to have more encounters with Henry, mainly you creeping up behind the boy and scaring him, him getting angry at you for being around him when he clearly wants to be alone and you still asking stupid questions about what he's doing.
One day though things change the friendship you had, you both were at the park again Henry sitting in the grass reading and you drawing random things in a note pad, it was a beautiful day and more children were out. It seemed like Henry was also an outcast, he didnt get along with many kids and even his little sister had more if a social life than he. You often heard screams in the house late at night, apparently his sister had nightmares a lot.
This time talking wasn't needed, you two simply got along enough to the point Talking wasn't needed. But three older boys came along, one boy who looked confident, the side boy and a boy who was quiet.
"Hey you're that new kid. What are you doing with that freak!" One of them said, making you both look up, henry looks down at you, a visible frown was shown on your face and henry looks back up at the boys
"Maybe you're just weird too huh" another boy states, laughing at his own statement
You Lean up and look at them
"Leave us alone losers, you're just picking on us cause your mommy isn't here!" You say laughing a bit as you see them get angered.
Henry says nothing just showing small bits if anger
"Shut up kid, be happy you never have your mom around, or your dad!" The first boy yells back, as the third boy takes your note book and throwing it into some mud from last nights rain
"Hey! You have no right" you stand up and try to slap the other boy but one pushes you over, henry stands up and pushes the one who pushed you
"Leave her alone" henry says calmly
"Shut up weirdo!" the boy gets angry but before he can hit henry back You shoot up and punch the boy
"Go !! Away!!" You scream punching the other boy he was with, the two cry out in pain, but there was the other quiet boy who was about to grab henry, he grabs his book and slaps it across his face, as the three are recovering you grab henrys hand and begin to run, you run across the street and into his backyard.
"W-wait what about the boy-" henry runs along the side if you
"SHHHHH!!! WE GATTA HIDE!" You scream whisper as you pull him behind a bush in his yard. He turns to you and gives you a blank face annoyed you shushed him.
"...henry, that was So cool...we are like so cool! We stood up to those idiots!" You spaz around exited
"Yeah we did...we could have did more though, they threw your note pad, you use that a lot" henry just looks down disappointed, you look at the boy and sit down fully,
"Thats okay, I didn't want them to make fun of us more, we did all we could do and its okay if we lost my note pad, as long as I stood up for what's right" henry looks at you and sits down as well
"plus did you see that kids face when you hit him, that book move was so cool!" You laugh patting his back
"Yeah. And your punches were really fast, thanks for helping I guess" he smiles a bit and looks at the bush in front of the both if you,
Spiders. Spiders are in the big bush and although they are huge and everywhere henry didnt budge, he stuck out his hand and picked one of them up.
"Eh?!" You look over to the boy and back away, a bit of fear is running through your brain
"They aren't scary..they are just misunderstood, they are beautiful, you respect them they respect you...they are the Prime predator..." Henry looks deeper into the spiders eyes, the spider just stands on his hand.
You begin to slowly lean closer to the boy, your hand reaching into the bush slowly to find a spider to pull out
"If you say so" a small spider crawls on your hand and for an hour or so Henry began to explain his love for spiders. You slowly liking the crawling beings too. after a bit of talking you to really became friends, talking and observing the spiders as they lived their life. Both of you running into your houses to pull out more stuff to show each other, you knew you were an outcast, he knew he was too but you had each other.
The few days looks similar. You two would hang out in the backyard of each others houses, not wanting to interact with other kids, sometimes him and his sister would have dinner at your house, and sometimes you would have dinner at theirs.
This day you were in his backyard, you two were just walking around the edge if the fence and when you finally were about to retire your stance on "why normal people don't suck completely" you hear a small crunch, you look down and see you accidentally stepped on a spider. Henry felt rage, he didnt show anything but he was moments away from showing his true self, the secret he's been trying to hold from this random annoying girl who definitely stalked him before saying her first Hello. But then he looked over at the small girl besides him, her eyed Teary and small sniffles being heard. He was confused yet again by her actions, and soon after she broke out into hysteria of crying and a child's breakdown
"I'm sorry!!!" She cried out, he looked at her in disbelief, he knew she respected the spiders now but not this much, She crouched down and started crying more, apologizing to the spider and not even him, The boy who loved, praised the spiders.
"Its..its alrig-"henry tried to comfort the girl by reaching out a hand but she pushed his hand away and grabs a fallen leaf, she picks up the remains of the spider and places it on the leaf
"Please....have a funeral for them?!" She holds up the leaf still crying and sad. Henry is still in disbelief, he slowly nods and begins to follow her as she digs a small hole and barries the dead Spider. They sit in silence for a second then the girl punches his arm slightly
"Say some words!" She cried out, He found it slightly amusing that she would cry over it. He never thought anyone would love the creatures like him, she's different, shes like him, she holds the same values but with some shaping he saw her as a new person for his New World...for His vision. He blinks the thought away and sighs
"Uh... Today we gather here for the celebration of life for--"
"Billy!" The girl cries
"For billy....the spider...uh...he was lovely, and smart, I'm sure his family loves and misses him" Henry begins to think more on what else to say
"Oh..oh no do you think it had a family?!" The girl cried more at the thought
"No im sure it didnt
"So it Died alone?!" She begins to cry more
He tries to comfort the girl the best he can, but honestly he was just confused, is this was friendship was, everyone always treated him different, his mother feared him, his father wasn't the man he thought and he didnt care much for his sister. But why was He trying so hard to cheer up a girl, how did she not notice the countless of Dead animals found around the small neighborhood, how did she ignore the screams coming from the house... He had a plan set in place and although she was nice to have he knew friendship wouldn't last forever. But even after all that, even after his small brain knew how worthless humans are he still had one thought
You Were Made for This world, For his Perfectly shaped world. And you didnt even know ...

-----------------------------------------
21/03/1986
On the twenty-first of March, 1986, three things happened simultaneously that prepared the world for the destruction of Hawkins.
One; You slumped forwards in your car, blasting your stereo as loud as it could go as you waited for Dustin Henderson to finish changing his Latin grade. You found that it helped keep Max's migraines at bay. He thanked Suzie, and made his way to the car. You think back to the tragedy of Starcourt Mall.
Two; Eleven Hopper held her head high and mindlessly fiddled with the replica of Hopper's cabin as she told her friends his story. They're not her friends. Everyone laughed. Will winced, watching on with pity. She didn't believe that Jim Hopper would respect who she's become. A nobody. Someone that is frequently walked all over. Someone unlovable. She thinks back to the tragedy of Starcourt Mall.
Three; Dr. Martin Brenner woke from his slumber. He dressed himself for the morning, he shaved, he timed himself on the daily crossword staring back at him from his newspaper. A simple life, now. He often found himself dreaming of what has become of his daughter. He thinks back to the tragedy of Starcourt Mall. He finds himself wondering (on more than occasion) where it all went wrong.
These three events, though entirely unconnected and almost entirely unimportant, coincide and are unintentionally the basis of which Henry Creel targets in order to make his move. He knew that he needed you gone. All of you. He often wondered who he'd pick off first. Alone, a separate entity, Henry Creel thinks back to the murder at Hawkins Lab. The total devastation left in his wake, the peeling skin from the side of his face, the girl who remained. He decided he'll leave her to last.
It took a while, but Martin Brenner finds himself on his own again. He had waited, strived for his own separation and prosperity; a success beside the Lab. He had witnessed the early life of exactly eighteen children, raising them like a lamb to slaughter. Leading them to the knife, soothing them with the hand that feeds them. Waiting for them to bite. To snap.
He supposed he shouldn't have been as surprised when one of them finally did. He stalked the halls of the lab, a small boy's hand clasped neatly around the man's finger, following in his footsteps. Brenner led him to a small room, encouraged him to sit, to be at peace with himself, fastening a device to his head and poking around inside his skull. He'd made significant progress with the boy, results finally spiking after the extent of his abilities overwhelmed him the month prior. He'd recently developed the ability to see far beyond what he was given, a mirage of images flashing before his very eyes. Able to perceive the universe in ways no-one thought possible, to know when a pin is dropped on the other side of the building.
Though he knew that he pushed the boy too far, sometimes. He knew that when the boy started shaking, machine ticking over at an unimaginable speed, measuring the pace of his brain, he'd gone too far. Made him see too much.
The boy winced, skull whining as an all-consuming ache washed over him, watching crimson trickling down the walls of the room across the hall. Separated by nothing but a thin sheet of plaster, the boy clutched the table harder, grimacing as Brenner's gaze grew in intensity. He hadn't noticed the state of the boy yet.
"Something's wrong." The boy murmured, tears gathering at his waterline, threatening with every spare moment to spill over, streaming mercilessly against his cheeks.
"If you've lost the visual, just let it go." Brenner muttered, irritation seeping into his words, coating them with a sweet bitterness that only Martin Brenner could master. He continued scribbling incoherent words against his notepad, scratching of the pen echoing around the otherwise empty room. The boy shook his head.
"They're screaming."
Brenner froze.
"Why are they screaming?" He pushed, brows furrowing as he grilled the young boy. He didn't want to know the answer, and somehow found one word reverberating inside his mind. Bouncing off the corners of his head, a large red blazing sign that he'd ignored long enough.
Blood dripped from the boy's nose as he began to shake, hands vibrating against the cold of the table. Steel against skin, providing the boy a relief from the overwhelming numbness that had begun to consume him.
"Ten?" Brenner questioned, growing more concerned with every passing second, notepad long abandoned.
They were quickly interrupted, a mechanic screech blaring from the speakers, lights flashing red as Brenner dashed to the side of the room. He crouched, holding his finger to a dark grey box, pressing down until a static echo was heard from another building.
"Peter? Alec? What's going on out there?"
"Sir, we've got a situation."
Brenner's heart sunk to his stomach, writhing in a pit of guilt as he fumbled to the room with a painted rainbow stained across a wall, coming face-to-face with a little girl. Outstretched hand, red trail beneath her nose. Shattered glass, broken bodies surrounding her.
Brenner took a breath, and then another, and Brenner screamed.
--------------------------------------------
Meanwhile, entirely unaware of anything out of the ordinary, Robin Buckley sat beside Steve Harrington on the drive to Hawkins High.
She'd scrambled to pick up her clothes from your floor the night prior, and had seemed rather flushed by the time Steve was due to pick her up this morning. Neither of you had established anything, but you'd been seeing each other on-and-off for the entirety of the year. Since you'd spent the evening in your living room after the battle of Starcourt, the two of you had become inseparable, neither wanting to address anything more than the lonely nights.
All Steve knew, blissfully ignorant as he was, was that Robin was interested in someone from the school. She hadn't stopped rambling about this gorgeous girl she kept running into, biting her tongue whenever you strayed into Family Video. Steve, of course, felt awful for you. He knew that if you were aware about Buckley's latest obsession, you'd be crushed.
So this continued, and he pursued giving her almost utterly useless advice under the guise of looking out for her. He still felt as though he owed you, and by getting Robin to sabotage whatever she had going on with the girl from band (he guessed, as she had mentioned the mystery girl's appearance at one of her shows), this was his own way of making it up to you. Not that he'd ever show you he cared for you, of course.
He did.
"Then there's Heidi tomorrow night, but the problem with Heidi is that she's going out of state for college. So it's like; do I really want to start another relationship that has no point other than sex?" He rambled, fingers tapping incessantly against the wheel. His issues were genuine, heart faltering and head seriously lacking when it came to any romance; a certain Wheeler still had him wrapped around her finger, entirely unaware.
"I mean, I don't know, does that make sense to you?" He questioned, glancing over to watch as Robin fiddled with another bottle of mascara, having left her last one with you. It remained in your bathroom on the side, another trinket of her affection, a way to leave her mark on anyone who wasn't you. Neither of you had spoken about the possibility of seeing other people, so she hoped that if God forbid, you decided to bring anyone else home, the small items she'd begun to leave behind were enough of a hint. Unfortunately, this left her with the issue of missing a large portion of anything she owned at any given moment; so he'd started leaving things with Steve, too.
"Robin, are you listening?" He pushed, irritation growing with every moment she continued ignoring him. She quickly scrambled to find an answer, desperately clutching at straws to avoid having to explain just exactly who she was thinking about.
You.
She was always, always thinking about you.
"Uh, yeah-"
"What did I just say?"
"Something about sex with Linda!" She jumped, parts of the conversation slowly floating back to her as she attempted to push the image of your smile from her mind.
"No! I'm talking about Heidi!" He waved his hands wildly, gestures of a mad man accompanying his every word as he tried to give the girl the benefit of the doubt. He struggled.
"Cut me some slack! Please!"
"Well-"
"Your love life," She started, taking a large breath before continuing, "is one of labyrinthian complexity and it is 7:00 in the morning, and we have to go to this stupid pep rally, and I woke up looking like a corpse!" She grumbled, thoughts flickering to your promise the night before of watching her perform. You'd mumbled it on the cusp of sleep, pulling her closer and closer still, whispering between the spilled sweet nothings.
With every growing day she was convinced that Steve had figured it out, worked out what the two of you almost were. You'd been as careful as you could, sneaking off like you did; but neither one of you wanted to tell anyone. Not yet. Not until you'd figured it out for yourselves.
So, she'd pushed all of the blame onto Vickie. A nice-enough girl from band that she knew for a fact wasn't interested, but rather happy with her current boyfriend of the month. She was friends with you, which was an added bonus, meaning that Robin was free to stare at you in front of Steve as Vickie was usually somewhere close enough to be spotted.
It didn't make her feel any less guilty, though. You didn't know about Steve's suspicion of Vickie, or the (false) advice he'd been giving her that she'd been inadvertently using on you.
"Why did you think ignoring me yesterday was a way to get my attention?" You'd murmured, raking your hands through her hair as she fiddled with one of the buttons on your shirt, a lazy attempt at prying it open. She simply shook her head, chuckling slightly before drawling out Steve's name. You quickly joined her in the laughter, scattering kisses along the course of her neck in-between giggles. How Steve had even considered her supposed interest in the ginger girl, she'd never know. Not when you were right there.
"You're worried about a basketball pep rally? You expect me to believe that?" He chuckled sarcastically, eyes fixated on the road ahead while Robin picked and pulled at the skin on her face.
"Yeah? So?"
"So? We both know what this is about! I'm not buying that bullshit, this is about Vickie!"
"Absolutely not," She interrupted, pulling out a small container of lip gloss and lazily smearing it across her lips. Cherry; this was undoubtedly yours.
"It is! And you know what else I think?"
"I really don't care-"
"You gotta stop pretending to be someone else when you're around her!" He spouted out the best nonsense he could think of, your image not vanishing from his mind. He didn't want to know what would happen if you found out about Robin and Vickie, though he figured he'd have to tell you soon enough. You deserved better than to be led on.
"You just gotta be yourself!" She rolled her eyes, laying her head back against the head rest.
"You're literally quoting me to me. You do realise that, don't you?"
"Well maybe you need to listen to yourself! You ever think about that? I listened to you and now bam! Back in business."
"It's not the same thing, okay?" Edge creeped into her voice, the stress causing her syllables to waver as her hands fumbled with the mascara wand. She wondered if you wanted to keep it a secret for this long. This wasn't what she had wanted but she wanted you, and this would be enough for now, even if it was only in the shadows. Murmured words only when no one else could hear, tangled sheets only on nights you were alone. Phrases whispered on a truly extraordinary night.
"Well-"
She shook her head.
"You ask out a girl and she says no, big deal, nothing happens. Maybe your ego's a little bruised. But I ask out the wrong girl and suddenly I'm the town pariah!" She wished Steve would stop talking about it. The more he mentioned, the more he insisted on Vickie being into her, the worse she felt. She felt as though she was lying to you, keeping you hidden when it was the last thing she wanted; though she didn't want to break your trust by telling Steve. Maybe you didn't want him to know. Maybe you were embarrassed of her, and that's why you couldn't hold her hand when you were around others.
Maybe she did deserve someone like Vickie, and reaching for someone like you was unfathomable, someone so unbelievably out of her league. The person who'd saved her from the clutches of evil Russians and had fought tooth and nail to keep her safe. Maybe you deserved better.
"I'd buy that, except Vickie is definitely not the wrong girl." She felt her stomach sink.
"We just don't know that, do we." She shook her head, praying he'd drop it so she could waltz into the sports hall, see your face and suddenly everything would be fine again. Every worry would vanish, you'd dismiss any and all negative thoughts about the girl. You made her feel loved, in every way you could.
It wasn't a conclusion she'd come to easily, simply something that had happened without even knowing. Before she could blink, she was head over heels watching you flick small paper balls at her from across the sofa at Steve's. She was in love before you had a chance to ramble on about the new campaign your friend had made, she was so far gone before she could stomach it, eyes seeking out your figure in a crowded room. It wasn't something that happened all at once, except something that maybe she'd always known. That she'd spent her entire life waiting for you without even realising. Without even knowing you.
"She returned Fast Times, paused at 53 minutes and 5 seconds. You know who pauses Fast Times at 53 minutes and 5 seconds?" She smiled while Steve winced, knowing that he was undoubtedly helping her win over someone that wasn't you. And she smiled because you'd paused Fast Times at 53 minutes and 5 seconds, shutting it off before moving closer to her one evening, claiming that you couldn't stand being away from her for so long. That you needed her. She liked Fast Times a lot more after that.
"People who like boobies, Robin!" She gagged, glaring at him.
"Ew! Gross-"
"Robin!"
"Don't say boobies!"
"It's not a big deal, okay? I like boobies! You like boobies! Vickie definitely likes boobies!"
She shook her head, trying not to chuckle under her breath as she imagined how she'd recount this conversation to you. Maybe you'd laugh with her, and then maybe she'd tell you about Vickie. Maybe you'd take it well. She hoped so.
Steve pulled the car into his designated spot, relaxing at the sight of the Camaro beside him. Dark blue, 1979, Billy's. When you'd pulled Max from the rubble of Starcourt Mall, the one thing you requested from Dr. Owens was for the car to be pulled from the flames. It was the only thing she had left of him, and you didn't want to leave it to rot. Everyone else had requested money, or freedom, or even just support. Dustin had his new devices to communicate with Suzie, Robin had much more financial stability so she could take you on more dates than you deserved, Will ended up with a new set of paints, but you'd requested for the Camaro to be saved. He'd done it, albeit reluctantly, and you'd told Max. She cried, holding you closer than you thought possible. For the meantime, she was letting you borrow it until she was old enough to drive, and so that was where you spent most of your time. Wherever the Camaro was, you weren't far behind.
Robin clambered out of the car, shouting after a small group of friends from band as Steve watched on proudly, a twinge of guilt in his gut when he thought that Robin was finally going to make her move.
You had to know. You had a right. Though he'd tell you later, in the safety of his home.
People were herded by the masses towards the gym as you practically pushed Dustin out the car, sending him to go and find Mike. You hadn't seen the Wheeler boy since two weeks prior where they'd almost found you smoking with their newest friend in the woods, and even then it had been a close call. All they knew was that you had a friend by the name of Eddie that you'd known for a while, making no correlation between their newest Dungeon Master whatsoever. It did come in handy when they were spilling their guts to you about his newest campaign and you fed back to him about just how much they knew; it was a fun little pass-time whenever you weren't around Robin or Steve.
It had taken you a while to befriend anyone else at the school, so the surprise had come thick and fast when you were hesitantly approached by Chrissy Cunningham, Hawkins High's Head Cheerleader, and asked quietly if you happened to know the school's resident drug dealer. You figured she seemed sincere enough and she provided you with information about her recent headaches and night terrors, meeting up underneath the bleachers in order for her to rant about her week. Robin was well aware of this, even offering a hand in support towards the young girl, but ultimately the questions always came back to Eddie and his business. However, it was nice to see her in her natural element, a smile plastered over her face as her boyfriend raved on about the previous horrors of Hawkins.
"So much loss." Jason rambled, mid-way through his speech and narrowly avoiding glares from you and Steve, accompanied by Max, Mike and Dustin from across the other side of the gym. Jason Carver knew nothing about loss, and was quickly making an attempt to crawl all over your last nerve. Judging by the look on her face, Max felt the same.
"And sometimes I wonder, how much loss can one community take? In dark days like this," You rolled your eyes, meeting Robin's wavering gaze as she shot you a soft smile and a small wave, chuckling and sending back your own, "We need something to believe in. So, last night, when we were down by ten points and a half to The Christian Academy, I looked at my team! And I said, Think of Jack."
You felt your stomach drop, and Max's snarky grin slowly begin to falter.
"Think of Mellissa."
Oh god.
"Think of Heather."
The guilt pooled in your stomach as you thought back to the bubbly girl that you'd failed to save the year prior. You knew who was coming next.
"Think of Billy."
Lucas met Max's eyes as the words resonated around the gym, watching for any flicker of emotion. Her mask didn't fall for a second, only grew stronger as she clenched her fists to her side. She avoided the pitiful looks he wad giving her, glancing down until he was forced to look away.
"Think of our heroic police chief, Jim Hopper." Steve had to elbow you in the side to stop you from shouting, words boiling at the edge of your tongue. Ruthless, cutting, venomous words all ready to fire at Jason Carver.
He didn't understand loss. Not even for a second. He didn't know what it was like, and you prayed he never would.
Not when it felt like this.
"Think of every one of your friends who perished in that fire. What did they die for? For us to lose to some crap school? No!"
The audience echoed back at him, slowly beginning to cheer and rally, leaving you and Steve silent, gritting your teeth.
"For us to return home with our heads hung low in defeat? No! Let's win this game for them! And that's exactly what they did!"
The room erupted into cheers, leaving the small group of you left to suffer in silence. You tried not to think about Starcourt Mall too hard. You still couldn't look at your leg the same, side marred with scars and stitches. You tried not to think about it when the lights flickered, or when you caught the odd melody that happened to sound a little too much like the Indiana flyer. You definitely tried not to think about it when the nightmares woke you.
"....tonight, we're gonna bring home the championship trophy!"
Dustin and Mike froze, running the thoughts over in their head as they mulled over their options. Tonight was wrong, all too wrong, and their happy-go-lucky day was quickly coming to a head.
"Tonight? How is that possible?" Mike scrambled, looking back and forth between Dustin and Max helplessly, quickly interrupted by the redhead.
"They call it a tournament. You win one game and then you go on until there's only one team left." Her eyes caught Lucas, laughing and grinning with his new friends. The sight tugged gently at her heartstrings, and she realised she hadn't recognised the emotion since Billy had pushed her aside to protect her. Pride. She would always, always, be proud of Lucas Sinclair.
Lucas was all over them the second they left the gym. Like white on rice, following them with a sharp jog, throwing his newest Letterman jacket over his shoulders.
"I don't get what the big deal is! Just talk to Eddie, get him to move Hellfire to another night!"
"Just talk to Eddie." Dustin scoffed, eyes rolling as he fixed his gaze on the mass of people in front of him, having lost you, Steve and Robin in the crowd, plus actively avoiding their current Dungeon Master.
"Why don't you just talk to your coach and get him to move the game?" Mike bit back, staring the boy down. He'd felt long since abandoned by Lucas, having left him in the dust the second something newer and shinier showed up. Unaware that it was exactly what he had done to Will, and the reason you had iced him out for the few weeks after. For the first time in a while, Mike Wheeler felt alone.
"I think that's a great idea, Mike."
"Thank you, Dustin." They both nodded sarcastically, quickly interrupted by the Sinclair boy.
"This is the championship game!" He pleaded, turning to face both of them.
"And this is the end of Eddie's campaign! A semester of adventuring, and we need you!" Dustin begged, Mike narrowing his gaze as it fixated on Lucas. He wanted his friend back, and he was willing to dig deep to do it.
"Yeah, and the Tiger's don't. You've been on the bench all year."
"That's not the point, Mike."
Expecting some snide comment from either of the boys, Lucas was swiftly interrupted by you pushing past the group of them, chasing past their little trio with a scrawled sheet in hand, yelling for someone intelligible.
Before they knew it, you'd taken a hold on Robin Buckley's hand, quickly tugging her to the nearest bathroom, locking you both inside one of the stalls.
"Hi." You murmured, grin evident over your face. This was undoubtedly the best part of your day, the time where you'd take some time for just the two of you, no matter what you were.
"Hi." She smiled, a large grin reaching her eyes as she threw her arms around you, met quickly with a chorus of giggles as you hid your face in her neck.
"Good morning?" You murmured into her shoulder, relaxing as her arms found your waist, their rightful resting place.
"The best. You left your lip gloss in my pocket, y'know that?" She rambled, quickly cut off by the feeling of your lips against hers. Raking a hand through her hair, the two of you were briefly interrupted by the sound of a door slamming beside you.
Robin's eyes widened, meeting your gaze as you silently shook your head, holding a finger to your lips. She smirked slightly, digging her hands into your sides to make you jump, chuckling under her breath as you rolled your eyes and swatted her arms away.
Chrissy Cunningham found her way to the mirror, staring at herself whilst pulling at her skin, as if she were a creature she couldn't recognise. As if she'd never seen herself before. A new-born, desperately reaching out for a hand to hold. Anyone's, really.
Robin quickly glanced through the corner of the stall, letting out a sigh of relief as she took in the sight of the blonde cheerleader. Then, she stiffened, realising her mistake.
"Hello?" Chrissy mumbled, knocking quietly on the door, waiting a second until it slowly opened. Where she was met face-to-face with the two of you, guilty-looking grins spread across your faces.
"Hi, Chris." You stared blankly as she shook her head, eyes open in disbelief. She hadn't expected it from you, but somehow, it hadn't exactly come as a shock. If anything, it provided a vigorous and much needed explanation as to why your eyes remained trained on the Buckley girl so much.
"I can't- not right now, I can't- I'm late," She murmured in-between breaths, taking another glance in the mirror before rushing out of the bathroom, hands rattling nervously against her sides. This was not an uncommon occurrence for the cheerleader, given that most of her days now ended in nightmarish visions and pounding headaches. It was as if someone, no, something was trying to rip her apart from the inside out. Trying to peel away anything that remained, leaving only the shell of a person behind.
You tossed a questionable glance towards Robin, one out of concern for the Cunningham girl. You recognised the look on her face. It was one you had seen on your own too many times.
Chrissy Cunningham was haunted, far too much for any person of reasonable coherence, but Chrissy Cunningham was also nothing if not punctual. She refused to be late, even for Hawkins High's resident drug dealer.
The same drug dealer you had coincidentally promised to introduce Robin to the night prior.
Steve Harrington and Eddie Munson had already crossed paths on a multitude of occasions given his repetitive senior years and the number of parties the boy threw, and so they had become reluctant acquaintances when necessary. That didn't mean Steve enjoyed seeing the boy's face. He would much rather spend his time shovelling timeless movies in the back of Family Video with Robin Buckley and scoring a mass of dates (now that his competitive streak had seemingly mad an appearance after the summer), and so he avoided the boy when he could. Eddie Munson was a face from his past, and not an overly friendly one, either.
However, despite's Steve's joyous enthusiasm about the boy, Robin was eager to meet him. You'd convinced her amidst stray kisses and lonely whispers to stay, blindly promising to turn up to her performances over the next few days and at least one introduction to someone. Anyone. She'd practically begged, and you swore that you trusted Eddie Munson with much more than your life. He knew of the girl you'd set your sights on, just no specifics, and you felt that now was a good a time as any for them to get to know each other. He wasn't too close to you, but you frequented with him occasionally in the halls plus your numerous visits over the years, and that was good enough for him.
Unfortunately, his awful time-management skills meant that he needed to cancel on you last minute, something that you had carefully explained to Robin when she'd left your house in a hurry earlier that morning. Without thinking, in the comfort of the bathrooms- her hand reached for yours, playing with your fingers absentmindedly to avoid her continuous rambling. Almost a year since Starcourt, and she still found herself nervous at the sight of you.
She broke the silence first.
"Do you think he'd like me?" Your breath hitched in the back of your throat as the words fell from her lips. Those weren't words for just a hook-up, but she took your reaction as to mean embarrassment, shame, and you couldn't blame her. She immediately began to backtrack, stumbling back over her faux-confidence and second guessing everything between you both.
"Robin!" You interrupted, stopping and forcing her to look at you for a second.
"He'd love you. I have no doubt whatsoever that when he does meet you, he'll love you. You're like- the best person I know, and if anything, you won't like him-"
"I will!" She blurted, looking up at you, smiling slightly. He knew about her; that was a start. She could work with that, even if you didn't want to be seen with her in public yet.
She leaned over to rest her head on your shoulder as you tensed, slipping an arm around her waist to pull her closer. You wanted nothing more than to show her off, but every time you'd mentioned it, she'd seemed hesitant- as if waiting for the other shoe to drop. You didn't want to push her into doing something she didn't want to do, and you would wait as long as it took for her to be comfortable.
"...like him, I mean. I will like him. Just wanted to- like, clear that up for you." She mumbled, met quickly by a brief chuckle as you relaxed. This was just Robin.
Your Robin.
"You got class next?"
"No, we've got rehearsals- you are coming later, aren't you?" She grinned, a wide smile as she looked down at you, expecting the same answer she'd received the night prior. Glossy eyes, a tired smile accompanied by a quick but rather-sweet nod.
" 'Course I am Buckley. Wouldn't miss it. Is Vickie going to be there?"
She froze. Supposedly, in the time it had taken her to move from one class to another to the toilets with you, the whole 'admitting that she'd been using Vickie as a scapegoat and essentially ranting to Steve about how hot she was' thing hadn't come up just yet.
Of course, you had every right to ask about her. She was your friend, after all. Sweet Vickie who'd done no wrong, and Steve, fucking Steve, who just had to meddle with everything. She loves him really, she swears.
However, loving him wouldn't stop how you would feel if you found out about her false emotional attachment to Vickie. Eventually, if she didn't tell you, Steve would. He'd tell you, even by accident, and she wouldn't be able to explain.
"Yeah. Vickie's going to be there. Can I talk to you please?"
Your smile falters slightly, corners of your eyebrows slightly raised as the joy in your eyes deflate. Like large balloons, popped before her. Leaking empty. Overflowing with worry.
"Yeah- is everything alright?" She nods in response, causing some of the paranoia to ease. You feel as though you're allowed to be paranoid, given what horrors you've bot faced in the past. A bad day can amount to a simple feeling of unease right up to a Russian beating and a snapped leg, clean in half.
"I just- about Vickie-" She's interrupted by the bell, ringing playing in around your ears as you pressed a chaste kiss to her cheek, apologising before grabbing your bag and scrambling to class. You promise to hear her out later, and you wish her good luck for the concert; after that, you're gone as quickly as you arrived. As if you were never there at all.
Meanwhile, Steve Harrington stalked the halls of Hawkins High. He'd returned from Family Video after squabbling with a pissy Dustin Henderson about a Hellfire sub, insisting on needing Steve, or Robin, or you, because he swears, if Steve would stop being so lazy and just go and get you all his problems would be sorted-  He'd hung up the phone after telling him you were still in class. He had not the time nor patience to deal with them today. So, he wandered back to Hawkins High in order to prepare for the Pep rally that evening, and to safely remove his mind from the clutches of Eddie Munson; the bastard that was stealing his the kids out from under him.
A girl by the name of Brenda, his date for tonight, hung off of his arm, and he didn't appreciate it as much as she thought he did. If it were up to him, truly, he probably wouldn't have a date at all right now. This was rushed, and messy, and far too temporary for his liking.
"Are you listening?" She whined, staring up at him. He didn't have the heart to tell her no. Instead, he nodded quickly as she raced back into her train of thought, his eyes now firmly set on Max. She's pulled away recently, and although they were never too close before, he knew that he needed to protect her. From what, he wasn't entirely sure yet. Something, he's sure. There was never not something.
As shitty as it was, he owed it to Billy to keep her safe. Or the memory of what he left behind, at least. He wants to keep her safe. She stormed out of the school therapist's office, headphones blasting whatever new tape was bringing her comfort this week, and Steve breathed a sigh of relief.
She always seemed happier with music.
He figured he'd start keeping slightly more of an eye out, mind nulled by Brenda's incessant need to talk. Eventually, towards the end of the day, he began pulling her in the direction of the gym as Robin started to panic.
Not only had she left you worrying about something, you were about to spend close to an hour sat next to Steve, miscommunication galore, watching her and Vickie talk to one another for as long as it took.
On one hand, if she pretended like everything was off, Steve would pick up on it and he'd find out about the two of you anyways. Or, she could wait it out, act as normally as humanly possible and risk Steve accidentally ruining everything the two of you had.
She honestly wasn't sure what was worse, but given that you hadn't expressed any intent in wanting to go public or tell anyone about the two of you, she took a risk. An incredibly calculated risk, but a risk nonetheless, and she began to talk to Vickie.
"Don't you find it interesting, that like- they won a championship, like right after you graduated?" The blonde twirled a piece of curled hair around her finger and stared up at Steve with you trailing behind, offering a shy wave to Robin in the stands as she returned one tenfold, smiling widely.
She wasn't quite sure when she'd get to look at you like that again, so she was going to make the most of it.
(Realistically, she knew that you were likely to handle this well, but then again, she wasn't entirely sure where you stood on the 'serious relationship' mark, and she didn't want you to realise that maybe, just maybe, she wasn't worth all this hassle. She just hoped that it hadn't gotten to that point just yet.)
"Yes, Brenda, that's an interesting point. Thanks for bringing that up." Steve grumbled and helped her up another step, looking at you and enacting an overly-exaggerated eyeroll. You had to stifle a laugh, quickly caught by Steve as the two of you began to chuckle.
Robin saw as he leaned over and whispered something in your ear (it was, in fact, a snarky comment about how Brenda had been making similar comments for the remainder of the day, and how oblivious she actually was), quickly turning to Vickie to ease her racing mind. The two chatted playfully, until she mentioned Tammy Thompson and her muppet-esque voice.
(It only made her think back to you and your god-awful wailing impression of Miss Piggy in the Scoops toilets after several hours drugged and tied up; despite the connotations of the memory, you were there, and so she smiled.)
This got a small chuckle out of Vickie, something that she hoped would go unnoticed, but Steve shot her a half-encouraging glance and all of a sudden her stomach was turning. Why couldn't she have said someone else? She figured that Vickie was a safe bet given her reasonably-stable relationship with her boyfriend, but apparently not. She could see the hidden disappointment in Steve's eyes on your behalf, and she wonders how he must feel, having to encourage her chasing after someone else, knowing about your blatant feelings for her. She swore in that moment she would have the conversation the second the set ended, and she would make you understand just how much she wanted you.
It didn't take long for the set to finish after that, Robin's nerves getting the best of her early on, and she found herself rushing to meet your side the second the band had finished packing up. It had taken an hour after the rally had finished before she could even consider leaving, her instructor still rather strict on them, so she could just hope that you were still there.
You were, leaning against the side of the brick wall with Steve long gone, enjoying the pale moonlight against the inky-black of the sky. There weren't many nights where you could see anything clear enough to make out regular shapes, let alone the moon. It was special. Unique. A truly extraordinary night.
As Robin found herself freed from the confinement of the hall, she walked over to you and wrapped her arms around you, grinning wildly as you reciprocated.
"What's this for?"
"Missed you." She muttered.
And as she stared at you beneath the flickering streetlamps, all was right with the world.
Other than the fact that Chrissy Cunningham was now hanging upside down on Eddie Munson's ceiling, jaw hitched open in a permanent wail as she bled from her eyes; limbs sprawled out and snapping with a series of violent cracks.
A truly extraordinary night indeed.

Worse Than Ghosts [Part II] (Steve Harrington x Reader BFU AU)
READ THE PROLOGUE HERE. READ PART ONE HERE. READ THE NEXT PART HERE.
Summary: The Spirit Search gang interview two Hawkins residents and learn more about the Creel Massacre. Y/N realizes she's in deep trouble.
Word Count: ~3.6k (IT'S A LONG ONE TODAY!!!)
Warnings: Language, canon-typical Vecna shenanigans, immense canon-bending that I had way too much fun with, lots of talk of murder and demons, mentions of drunkenness.
I loved including Nancy, Eddie, and Wayne in this part (and, to a degree, Chrissy and Jason as well). AUs are so fun to write!
Tumblr media
👻 👻 👻
“Whenever you’re ready,” Jonathan said, “Ms. Wheeler.”
Steve and Robin sat in a study room at the Hawkins Public Library. Their first interviewee of the day, Nancy Wheeler, sat across from them, with her hands folded on the tabletop. A thick manila folder labeled “CREEL MASSACRE” rested nearby.
Jonathan stood behind the camera, angling it at the trio. Argyle leaned against the wall, the boom mic he held up looking like an extension of him.
Y/N sat in a chair behind Jonathan, knee bouncing rapidly. She wrestled with nerves due to her terrifying experience in the Creel House attic—an experience she needed to tell her friends about, but couldn’t bring herself to yet.
“Please,” Nancy said. She shot Jonathan a small smile. “Call me Nancy.”
The apples of his cheeks bloomed pink.
“Oh, okay,” he said. He cleared his throat and, looking down at the camera, said, “Whenever you’re ready, Nancy.”
“I spent the last year of my undergrad studying the Creel Massacre,” Nancy began. “Or, more particularly, the news cycle about it.”
She opened one of her file folders and handed a stack of newspaper clippings to Robin.
Jonathan zoomed in on the headline of the top article as Robin read it aloud: “‘Creel Family Slain by their Patriarch.’”
“Well, that’s what happened,” Steve said. “Isn’t it?”
“Most people say so,” Nancy said. “The story goes like this: that fateful April night in 1986, Victor Creel killed his wife Virginia, his daughter Alice, and his son, Henry. He broke their bones and pulled out their eyes. Then, he called the cops on himself, took a plea bargain, and was sent to Pennhurst Asylum.”
“Do they say why he did it?” Robin questioned, skimming the rest of the newspaper articles and their similar headlines.
“Some say a fit of jealous rage,” Nancy said. “That he caught Virginia with their gardener.”
“But why kill the kids too?!” Steve protested.
“Yo, man,” Argyle said from behind the boom mic. “Sometimes, white guys just snap and do crazy shit like that.”
“Since this is a ghost-hunting show,” Nancy said, “I figured this niche part of the news cycle will be of more interest to you—and your viewers.”
She opened a new folder and handed a scanned article from The Weekly Watcher to Steve. He read the headline aloud: “‘Creel Claims Vengeful Demon Killed Family.’ Oh, you’ve gotta be kidding me.”
The mention of demons sent an icy chill through Y/N’s veins. Was her experience from earlier—her memory of the riptide brought to life—the result of more than just a ghost? Or was it possible she was losing her mind? She preferred the latter. If she really was losing it, at least she could get some kind of help. If she wasn’t, and an evil presence really did lurk in that house, everything Y/N thought she knew about the world was completely and totally wrong.
“So Victor thinks he was ‘possessed’?” Steve continued, using air quotes to further show his utter skepticism. “And that’s why he killed his family?”
“Victor says the demon did it all,” Nancy said. “That the house itself was home to an evil taking root. In his account in The Weekly Watcher, Victor describes the weeks leading up to the massacre—his wife and daughter, haunted by hallucinations and nightmares. Dead animals popping up around their house. Flickering lights, unusual sounds. Victor then goes on to talk about the night it happened. He saw his wife levitate, and then get killed by an invisible force. He tried to get his kids out of the house, but the demon showed him a hallucination of his worst memory. By the time he woke up, his kids were also…well, you know.”
“His worst memory?” Y/N blurted out, leaning forward in her chair. Steve and Robin turned to her, surprised. Y/N wasn’t supposed to talk. She was a producer, a behind-the-scenes figurehead. But what happened to Victor sounded familiar, and Y/N needed to know more.
Nancy, unphased by Y/N’s interruption, looked at her and nodded.
“A memory from overseas,” she said. “From the Vietnam War. A raid gone wrong. He was stuck reliving it, until he heard ‘the voice of an angel.’”
“I guess that makes sense,” Steve said. “Demons and angels are rivals, or whatever, so if a demon puts him in a trance, an angel could snap him out of it.”
“Steve Harrington,” Robin said with a laugh. “Are you saying you believe in angels and demons?”
“I’m speaking metaphorically,” Steve said with a scoff. “Don’t get your hopes up. Anyway, Nancy, why is The Weekly Watcher the only paper that talked about the supposed demon?”
“Why do you think, dingus?” Robin said. “No major media outlets take believers seriously. That’s why papers like The Weekly Watcher exist.”
“Exactly,” Nancy said. “Other papers and news stations kept Victor’s account of that night buried. They didn’t quote him at all, and instead focused on the details of the murders themselves, and the plea deal.”
“Do you think the major papers not reporting on the demon did Victor a disservice?” Robin asked.
Nancy furrowed her brow, thinking hard on her next answer.
“People want to hear stories with clean beginnings, middles, and ends,” Nancy said. “It makes sense that papers left out details that would alienate a large portion of their readership. However, if more outlets had reported on Victor’s supposed account with the demon, the name ‘Victor Creel’ wouldn’t hold so much weight to it. He wouldn’t have been made into the boogeyman people see him as now.”
“One last question,” Steve said. He leaned in a little closer. “Do you believe it? That there’s a demon hiding in the Creel House?”
Nancy shrugged.
“It sounds ridiculous,” she said. “But stranger things have happened.”
“Thank you so much, Nancy,” Robin said. She and Steve shook her hand, and Jonathan called, “Cut!”
“Great work, everyone,” he said. “I think we got what we needed. Y/N, should we film some B-Roll of Steve, Robin, and Nancy walking around the library before we head to The Hideout?”
The group turned to their producer, waiting for a response.
She sat in her chair, stock-still, facing straight ahead. Behind closed eyelids, her eyes moved back and forth, back and forth like a pendulum.
“She’s napping!” Argyle said with a laugh, poking her knee with the microphone. She didn’t stir. “I guess all this demon talk is like a lullaby to her or some shit.”
“Sleeping Beauty,” Steve said, a teasing lilt in his voice. He shook her shoulder gently. “Wake up. We’re losing daylight!”
Nothing. Not even a shift in breathing pattern. Steve frowned, shaking her a little harder.
“Hey, Y/N,” he said louder. “Come on. Wake up.”
“Y/N!” Robin shouted. She clapped her hands in front of the girl’s face. No movement. “Wake up! You’re scaring us!”
Steve held the unconscious girl’s wrist and put two fingers on her pulse point. He could feel her heart racing.
“Her heart’s beating really fucking fast,” Steve said, his own heart starting to pound with worry. “Shit, do we need to call an ambulance?”
“I can,” Nancy said, pulling out her cell phone. Before she could dial 9-1-1, an oldies pop song blasted from her phone’s speakers.
“Oops!” Nancy said. “Sorry, it does this sometimes—just shuffles a random playlist. Stupid piece of junk—”
Before she could switch off the music, Y/N’s eyes shot open and she let out a shuddery breath. Jonathan, Robin, and Argyle screamed, startled at the sudden movement.
“Whoa!” Steve said, crouching in front of her to be eye-level and placing his hands on her knees. “You okay?”
“Huh?” Y/N said, dazed and groggy. “I—what?”
“You were totally spacing!” Argyle said.
“You fell asleep,” Jonathan clarified, eyes narrowed. “And you weren’t waking up.”
“I’m fine,” Y/N said, stumbling to her feet. She tried not to notice how close Steve stood next to her, and how good he smelled. She glanced at her watch. “We have to head to the next interview.”
“No,” Steve said firmly. “Something’s off. I think you should take it easy. Maybe head back to the motel and rest.”
“This is our biggest episode ever!” Y/N said. “I can’t just go rest! I’m fine. I swear. Just overtired because of nightmares. I’m okay. I’m okay!”
No, I’m not, she thought. I am so, so far from it.
However, she buried the desire to break down crying and tell them she, like Victor, was haunted by the scariest day of her life. She didn’t want to think about what that meant.
“Nancy,” Y/N said, “thank you so much for the amazing interview. Sorry things got weird at the end.”
“No, it’s fine!” Nancy said. “Feel better, okay?”
She gathered up her things and bid the group goodbye, giving Jonathan an extra glance before leaving the study room.
Y/N ignored her friends’ protests to sit for a few minutes, to drink something, to slow down. She charged out to their rental van, trying to think of anything in the world except demons and deep water.
👻 👻 👻
The Spirit Search crew entered The Hideout Bar and Grill. A man around their age slumped over the host stand, his dark, wavy hair pulled in a low ponytail.
“Welcome to The Hideout,” he drawled, barely looking up from his perch. “Table for 5?”
“Actually 6,” Y/N said. She ignored the worried glances her friends gave her, but they pricked her skin like a million tiny needles. “We’re supposed to be meeting a Wayne Munson. Is he here already?”
The host shot his head up, eyes widening with admiration and recognition.
“Holy shit,” he said. “Spirit Search! Uncle Wayne said you guys were coming. Yeah, he’s here! I’ve set aside our best booth for you.”
He shook hands with Y/N, Robin, and Steve, and nodded enthusiastically at Jonathan and Argyle—who had their arms full with camera and light equipment.
“My name’s Eddie,” he continued. “Eddie Munson. Big fan of the show. Huge! I haven’t missed an episode. Hey, man, can you say the catchphrase?”
Steve sighed.
“Do I have to?” he said with a grimace.
“C’mon, Stevie,” Robin teased. “Give the people what they want.”
Eddie looked on expectantly. Steve slumped his shoulders but acquiesced. He cleared his throat and quoted himself, from a popular Season 1 episode: “‘Rock and roll, buckaroo!’”
Eddie whooped.
“Amazing!” he said. “It sounds just as stupid and corny in real life! C’mon, I’ll show you to your table.”
Eddie snagged a stack of menus from the host stand and led the team to the corner of the restaurant.
Despite feeling horrendously shitty, Y/N couldn’t help but smirk at the annoyed look on Steve’s face.
“I don’t think you’re ever going to live that one down,” she said with a giggle.
“Maybe I could,” Steve grumbled, “if Argyle hadn’t sold those dumb t-shirts.” However, seeing Y/N in higher spirits lessened the sting of his embarrassment.
A bedraggled bald man with a stubbly white beard sat at the corner booth Eddie brought them to. With sunken-in eyes and pale, wrinkled skin, he almost looked like a ghost himself.
“Uncle Wayne,” Eddie said, “Spirit Search has entered the building.”
“Night to meet you, Mr. Munson,” Y/N said, holding out a hand to shake. Wayne returned the gesture with a curt smile. “Thank you for agreeing to this interview.”
“Of course,” he said. “Alice and Henry were friends of mine. If their story is going to be shared, I want it told properly.”
Robin and Steve slid into the booth next to Mr. Munson, making small talk about Hawkins while Jonathan, Argyle, and Y/N worked to set up the equipment.
“You sure you’re okay to be here?” Jonathan mumbled to Y/N as she helped him set up the tripod.
“I’m fine, Jonathan.”
Jonathan scanned her for indications that she was lying, and found many: the clench in her jaw, the shake of her hands, the glassy eyes. He started to say something else, but Eddie came back around to take their drink orders.
“Okay,” Y/N said a few minutes later. “Let’s get started, yeah? Mr. Munson, whenever you’re ready, please tell us about your history with the Creel family.”
Mr. Munson took a swig of his beer and inhaled shakily.
“When I was a boy,” he began, “Alice Creel was my best friend. When we were in the second grade, some older kids made it their mission to pick on me, using the playground as their hunting ground. But that Alice—she was so tenacious. She saw those bullies push me around and fought on my behalf. After that, they never bothered me again. From then on, we were thick as thieves.”
“What year was that?” Robin asked.
“1984. Two years before…before the incident.”
“Were you and Henry close as well?” Steve said.
“Sort of.” Wayne took another swig of beer, taking his sweet time telling the story. “He was a grade younger than us, and an odd duck. Not like the other boys. He didn’t want to play sports, he wanted to read and draw. Not that there’s anything wrong with that! It just made it hard for him to fit in. I’d invite him to meet me at the park to toss a football around, but he always declined. Still, we spent time together, and I considered him a friend.”
“How often did you go visit Alice and Henry at their house?” Robin asked. “And did you ever—”
“Meet Victor?” Wayne finished. “Yes, I did. From ‘84 to ‘86, I probably went to the Creel House a hundred times, maybe more.”
“What was Victor like?” Steve asked.
“Victor Creel was not the monster people say he was,” Wayne said. “He and my father fought in Vietnam together. My father said Creel was a damn good soldier and a much better man. And every time I met him, he smiled kindly. Asked how my day was. He liked to do these little magic tricks—”
A nostalgic smile spread across his face, eyes unfocused as if he could see something from long ago.
“—he would do the sleight-of-hand trick, the quarters-out-from-ears one, and say, ‘Don’t spend it all in one place, Wayne!’”
“He sounds like he was a good guy,” Steve said, “at least at some point. What do you think changed?”
Wayne’s expression hardened.
“Nothing changed,” Wayne spat. “He was framed!”
“Framed?” Robin asked, leaning forward in her seat. “What do you mean by that?”
“Someone else killed his family,” Wayne said firmly. “I just know it. Victor would not do a thing like that. He loved Alice, Henry, and Virginia so dearly.”
“When you were in the house,” Robin said, “did you ever feel…unsettled?”
“Like I was being watched by a ghost?” Wayne said, raising an eyebrow.
Robin nodded sheepishly.
“There were a few times,” Wayne said. “Once, I spent the night, and I had the most horrifying nightmares. Scariest ones I’ve ever had. And another time, when I was awake, I could swear I heard a voice calling to me from the attic.”
“The attic?” Steve said. He glanced over at Y/N, remembering her running out of the attic, terrified.
“The scariest room in the house,” Wayne said, shuddering. “I’m sure it was just my imagination, though.”
“What’s your take on potential demonic activity?” Robin said.
At that, Wayne laughed, before drinking more of his drink.
“Demonic activity?!” he said. “Oh, come on, now. I know this is a ghost show, but demons?”
“Demons are like leveled-up ghosts!” Robin said. “And we spoke with another source earlier, who said—”
“Bullshit,” Wayne said harshly. “This was no ghost or demon.”
He chugged more beer. “I’ll tell you who killed ‘em,” Wayne added, slurring his words slightly and leaning closer to Robin.
Steve shifted to the side in the booth, giving Robin space to scoot away from Wayne.
“Go on,” Steve said. “Who did it?”
“Virginia’s brother!” Wayne said. “She inherited the house and he was jealous, so he killed them.”
“We looked into that,” Robin said. “He has an alibi for that night. He was out of town—”
“LIES!” Wayne roared. He grabbed Robin’s shoulders, causing her to squeak in fright. “ALL LIES!”
“HEY!” Steve yelled, reaching across the table and wrenching Wayne’s hands off of Robin. “Don’t touch her.”
The two of them shimmied out of the booth. Wayne, significantly drunker than he had been, grumbled nonsense about brothers and inheritance and bullshit alibis.
“Mr. Munson,” Y/N said, “please, if you want to take a break, or stop, we absolutely can. Just calm down—”
“I AM CALM!” Wayne bellowed.
Eddie raced over, looking a little embarrassed.
“I’m so sorry,” he said, an apologetic smile on his face. “Uncle Wayne’s a great guy. Really, he is. It’s just a touchy subject for him, you know? I’m sure you have enough footage, right?”
“Yeah,” Jonathan said. He switched off the camera. “We’re good.”
“Sorry we drove you to drink, Mr. Munson,” Argyle said, lowering his boom mic. “Do you want a complimentary t-shirt? What are you, size XL?”
The stoner unzipped his backpack and tossed Wayne a black t-shirt with Steve’s least favorite catchphrase printed in a garish green font.
Wayne mumbled out apologies to Robin and the whole team, before Eddie led him to the kitchens.
“You okay, Robin?” Y/N asked.
“Peachy,” Robin said. “I feel bad, though. I wasn’t trying to make him upset.”
Eddie reemerged with their lunch orders.
“Food’s on the house,” he said. “Sit! Eat! Enjoy!”
The Spirit Search gang settled into the booth. Everyone started to dig in, except for Y/N.
“Hey, Eddie,” she said. “Can I ask a question?”
“You just did,” Eddie said with a wink. Y/N chuckled (and failed to notice Steve tense up next to her).
“Ha-ha. But seriously. Do you have a minute to talk?”
Eddie pulled up a chair from a nearby empty table and spun it around, sinking into it “cool-substitute-teacher” style.
“For the producer of my favorite show? I’ve got a hundred-thousand minutes. Shoot.”
“Do you think the Creel House is haunted?” she asked. “Or possessed by a demon, or whatever?”
Eddie scratched his chin.
“Hmm. Honestly, it was probably black mold or a gas leak or something that caused dear old Victor to snap and kill his family. You know, something scientific? Buuuut, the murder of Chrissy Cunningham tells a different story.”
“Who’s Chrissy Cunningham?” Jonathan asked, abandoning his own lunch out of curiosity.
“You might want to get that camera out again,” Eddie said, rubbing his hands together. “This is quite the tale.”
“We don’t have time for that!” Y/N said. “Who’s Chrissy?”
Eddie put on a deep, spooky voice and began his spiel: “Chrissy Cunningham was queen of Hawkins High. Head cheerleader, super well-liked, set to graduate in 1996 with top honors. Dating the basketball captain, you know, usual popularity bullshit. Prom night rolls around on the ten-year anniversary of the Creel Massacre. Chrissy’s been feeling strange lately—vivid nightmares, nosebleeds, headaches. She was super out of it, too, falling into a deep sleep at random times throughout the day.”
Y/N’s heart drops to her feet and through the dusty floorboards of The Hideout. Her friends share a look of concern at the familiarity of these symptoms.
“She wanted to skip the prom,” Eddie continued, “but her meathead boyfriend Jason Carver convinced her to go. And his shitty friends dared the two of them to spend the night together in the Creel House.”
“Idiots!” Robin said with a scoff. “Anniversaries like that are the worst possible time to visit haunted locations!”
“What happened to them?” Argyle asked, eyes wide.
“What do you think?!” Eddie said. “The next morning, the cops found their bodies in the attic. They were mangled with their eyes gouged out, just like the family had been ten years before.”
“So all that stuff Nancy said the Creel’s experienced happened to Chrissy too,” Y/N said, staring at her plate of fries and trying not to panic-vomit all over them. “And then, she died!”
“This probably isn’t even a true story,” Steve said, shooting Eddie a glare. “It’s an urban legend.”
“I speak the truth, my friend,” Eddie said.
Y/N grabbed her phone and, with shaking hands, googled “Chrissy Cunningham Hawkins Indiana Death.”
Sure enough, the first entry was an obituary from April 1996. She clicked on it and gasped.
“Oh my God,” Y/N said, a sob escaping her. “It’s real!”
Steve read over her shoulder, frown deepening with each line he read.
Guilt washed over Eddie’s features at her panicked state.
“Hey, hey,” he said, standing from his chair. “It wasn’t a demon or a ghost, or whatever. Consensus is that it was a copy-cat killer. It’s fucked up, but—”
“I’m going to die tonight!” Y/N wailed.
Argyle spat his soda all across the tabletop. Robin choked on her veggie burger.
“Uh, what?” she said.
Y/N vaulted over Steve’s lap to escape the confines of the booth and ran out of The Hideout in tears.
“Oh shit,” Eddie said. “I didn’t mean to make her cry. Uh...how about some free dessert?”

Some more FS au thoughts below the cut!
Henry saw El at the rink and then looked at both Brenner and Jim like: She’s my daughter now. Grand Theft Offspring.
Jim doesn't go in the kiss-and-cry booth much anymore due to the combination of unpredictable subjective point totals and his own unpredictable temper when he thinks a score is unfair. He’s upset on El’s behalf, he loves her, it’s just unnecessarily stressful for everyone involved. The kiss-and-cry booth tends to be Henry's territory, since he's more accustomed to dealing with the Everything about it. (In addition: Scott “it was totally political” Clarke makes an appearance rink-side)
Henry “You are better than they are. Superior.” Creel makes an appearance in the context of “Your competitors and their coaches, they want you to feel like you’re less-than. Don’t let them.” after El gets shoved around by a few of Brenner’s other students at Junior Nationals.
This was the same Junior Nationals where Brenner tried to “reconnect” with El after seeing her success at the previous competition. El isn’t having it, but having a big public blowout is not the way to handle things you Don’t Like in FS. That can kill your subjective scoring. Henry, more than aware of this and only somewhat afraid of Brenner after years of Fixing His Damage, catches him rink-side during warmups. He only has 10 whispered words for Brenner, the first he’s spoken directly to the man since The Injury: Come near her again, and I will kill you. Brenner’s half-convinced he means it literally. It was said so quietly that none of the surrounding cameras picked it up. Oh, how the tables have turned on the concept of “our little secret”.
Victor also wanted Henry to play hockey back in the day (because he played hockey as a boy and enjoyed spending time/having a shared hobby with Henry), but after watching little 8 year old Henry at hockey practice for One (1) hour, he went hm...maybe not. Victor “loves his son so much” Creel 100% supported Henry getting into FS instead (no one could have predicted the shitshow it would spiral into).
The Injury (pulled from Henry’s head injury in the canon electrocution scene) left Henry with a sick silver streak on his left side where they put the titanium plate in. The Party has a running joke that he looks like a supervillain because of it.
Henry stuck with Brenner from age 12 to about age 30, something of an unwritten record for a coach-athlete relationship. He only stuck with him so long because Brenner had secrets to leverage over him/had backed him into the “I’m the only one willing to have you” corner by building his cold/unfeeling/hard to work with persona.
Brenner 100% tries to cover his ass later by trying to paint Henry as a troublemaker, that really, if you think about it isn’t he the victim here, having put so much time and effort into Henry only to have him squander it by lashing out the moment he realized there might be a new winner? That little façade lasts a good long while, right up until Henry’s case is reopened and the truth of the matter comes out. The reader can fill in whatever blanks they want about what, exactly, was brought to light. The details aren’t super important atp!
El totally whoops ass at Junior Nationals, btw. She wipes the floor with all of Brenner’s newest round of students. If Henry’s a touch smug about it…well. Why shouldn’t he be?
In his day, Henry 100% had Yuzuru Hanyu style outfits, typically in some sort of white/grey/blue. Practice and coaching outfits run more along the lines of black pants and white sweaters/turtlenecks. (Scott is appreciative. If you've ever seen the pics of Yuzuru Hanyu's practice fits...you get it)
Brenner is the kind of coach to subtly rag on you from the boards. Henry is the type to actually demonstrate the skill he expects you to perform. (That’s canon, actually, shdhsjdhsj)
El's pink dress outfit from Season 1 is one of her first competition outfits. Yes, it's still a hand-me-down from Nancy. Yes, she still looks absolutely adorable. Yes, Henry's hovering behind her like a demon, daring anyone to so much as breathe wrong near her.

Trigger warnings: wishing a parents death, a lot of cursing, blood, hospitals, someone almost dying
Word count: 1.9K
Pairing : Hopper!Reader x Eddie Munson
One in which Eddie doesn’t die, just gets majorly injured.
“Why can’t you just accept him?!” I yell at  my dad as tears fall from “He hasn’t done anything bad, he only has different taste in music and clothing. He is a lovely guy and if you gave him an opportunity you would also see it!” I continue to yell.
“ I can’t accept that drug dealing punk dating my daughter, I’m sorry but I don’t want him in my house anymore. That’s all I will say about it” he says in a stern tone.
“UGH! I fucking hate you, I hope you die!” I scream, shutting the door of my room.
It has now been eight months since his death, El, my adoptive sister we could say, has moved to California with the Byers while I stayed here in Hawkins.
After all the upside down shit that has been going on for the last years and Billy’s death the whole gang thought that all of this was over. But recently some weird deaths have been happening and the Hawkins police have framed my boyfriend Eddie as this satanic cult leader that has been sacrificing teenagers for some kind of ritual. We also discovered who is behind all of this, Henry Creel, a boy with telekinetic powers, just like El but with psychotic behavior and with some desire to kill traumatized kids.
So now while Lucas, Erica and Max are at this psyco’s house, while Nancy, Robin, Steve, Dustin, Eddie and I are back in the Upside down. While the girls and Steve are going to try to kill that motherfucker, Dustin Eddie and I are trying to make a distraction for the demobats.
Eddie is playing “Master of Puppets" by Metallica while the youngest boy and I are waiting for them to come. Everything goes on so fast and  Eddie looks so hot as he plays his heart out for this occasion. The demobats are coming, Dustin counting down the seconds for them to hit us.
“Ten  seconds Eddie!” I scream. Their fluddering sounds more intense as they come closer. The three of us enter the trailer, Eddie almost not making it. “Holy mother of Jesus Christ. These motherfuckers are trying to get in, Eddie, are there any places they could?” I question my boyfriend. Before he can say anything one of them breaks in through the ventilation hole. Panic fills our bodies as more of those monsters hit the windows and every surface possible, Dustin and Eddie are trying kill the demobat with the spares the created while I go to his room where a huge air vent is located, but i'm too late as a swamp of these weird bats come through. I scream as loud as I can, the bats are flying in circles in the small room, the door opens and Eddie gets inside without thinking twice, Dustin waits in front of the door to close it when we come out.
“Okay we need to go! NOW! Dustin you go first” he starts to climb the bed sheets made ladder that connects the upside down with our real world. I go after him and when I’m on the other side, waiting for Eddie, he just doesn’t go up. “ Eddie, come on!” we both scream, fearing that some crazy idea has come into his mind. He looks up at us with those big brown eyes of his and one of those kinds of stares full of sadness, he quickly looks away cutting the bed sheets, eliminating the only way he could get out.
“ I love you guys” he says before disappearing.
“Nonononononono” i start mumbling. “Fuck this shit, I’m going back there. Dustin'' I grab his face with two of my hands. “ I need you to rebuild another ladder okay” he is paralized “Okay?!?!” he comes back to his senses after some seconds. He nods and starts to look for some blankets, bed sheets etc. While I try to make a small stand with chairs where I can jump to the ceiling, grab something to pull myself up down that shithole.
It takes me a couple of minutes to grasp one side of the ceiling that is not slippery. When I finally manage to get to the other side, I fall badly hurting one of my legs but with all the adrenaline running inside me I can’t barely feel anything.
The sound of the demobats is further than before not sounding as loud. When the door opens I can hear his screams, pain filled screams. I run as fast as my injured leg allows, when I see him lying on the ground with lots of those demon bats attacking him.
“Eddie!” I start running, when I arrive where he is at, I throw myself on top of him acting as a shield between those god-awful bats and him. Their sharp teeth drilling my skin, each time they bite me their teeth deeping the wounds. I really start to feel this is the ending for both of us, how romantic right? The two lovers, the one who sacrifices themselves while the other protects them until death. My mind is already thinking about all the things that could  happen when out of the sudden the bats fall to the ground seemingly dead.
“Eddie, are you okay?” He looks at me with a bloody smile. “ I’m going to get you out of here okay?” I cry, trying to wipe my tears out. I try move him, but he is to heavy for me to move. “Shit shit shit” I panic.
“Hey, (Y/N)” he says grabbing my hand, his blood now on my face“I need- i need you to do me a fav-favour” he mumbles, I nod my eyes full of tears. “ I need you to take care of all of them, okay? Specially Dustin'' he begs as tears fall down his face “ I will- I will always love you (Y/N)”
“Don’t fucking come with the “I’m dying” mologe because you are making it out of this shit hole okay?” I say between cries. “Steveee! Robbiiinn! Nancyyy!” I scream from the top of my lungs.
“(Y/N)?!?!” a female voice asks not far from where we are. “
“Eddie, don't close your eyes, okay baby? Stay with me. Explain to me what are your plans for the next quest. Jesus fucking Christ where are they” I look aroud nervously as Eddie tries to explain me his next D&D game, his voice is quiet, I can barely beraly hear him. Between the trees three figures appear. “ROBIN PLEASE HELP ME!” I beg. The three teenagers come running.
“(Y/N) your back-“ starts Nancy but I cut her off
“Im fine, okay, we need to take him to the hospital. I don't care if Vecna is dead. If he doesn’t make it I will physically die, I’m not even joking” They all help me take him back to the van, his gaze is lost in the blue/red sky of the Upside down, I’m losing him I can feel it.
Taking him back to our world is difficult but we eventually make it, the first to go after him are Steve , to start the car, and Robin to help Dustin take him to the car. When I make it to the other side I run towards the car as fast as my injured leg allows me. Steve and Eddie are already inside the car, I go to the backseats where my boy is laying down, I put his head on my lap and my hand locks with his.
“You are going to be okay. You are going to make it” I try to wipe his tears. “ Steve I don’t care how many laws you break, if we are not there in less than fifteen minutes he is going to die” he drives as fast as his car allows. “ Eddie, can you hear me?” he nods. The drive is short but it feels like it took us centuries to get there. Steve helps me take Eddie out of the car. When we enter, none of the doctors or nurses want to take him in, and at that moment is when something on my brain just snaps.
“IF IN TEN SECONDS I DON’T HAVE A NURSE AND A FUCKING DOCTOR TAKING CARE OF HIM AND SAVING HIS LIFE, I WILL PERSONALLY GRAB A SCALPEL AND START KILLING YOU ALL OF, I’M NOT FUCKING JOCKING” I yell with the craiziest look on my face. Then they all start moving towards us, they lay him on a litter and take him to a surgery room. They said they need to inspect him before doing anything.
“(Y/N)...” whispers Steve, I turn around “ I think you should get help too, those wounds on your back don’t look good plus you have been limping on your left leg since we were on the Upside down.” he looks around for some nurses, they all seem to comprehend the situation and take me in.
Now all my torso is bandaged and my left foot has a cast, I look disgusting. My face and arms are still covered with dried mud and blood, most of the areas covered with bruises. I'm sitting next to Eddie’s bed, my head resting on the mattress. He is sleeping now, they gave him some sleeping medicine so he can rest, he has lost a lot of blood but the doctors said he is going to be alright. Dustin is sleeping on the big chair.
Before I fall asleep, someone knocks on the  door, hoping to see some nurse with some test results. I turn my  head rapidly. To my surprise I see my Dad, who I thought had died eight months ago , and El with her head shaved again.
“D-dad!” I try to run towards him, tears falling down my rusty face, but my injured leg doesn’t allow me to make more than three steps.
“Oh my beautiful girl” he says as he hugs me tightly. “I’ve missed you so much” he loosens his grip when he notices the bandages on my back. “ What happened?!” he questions.
“I’ll tell you tomorrow, okay? he nods. I hug El, she has grown so much in this past months.
“(Y/N)” a small voice behind me calls me. Eddie is awake, he is smiling like he always is.
“Hi there sunshine, how are you feeling?” my dad helping me to get closer to him. He doesn’t say anything, still too weak. “I thought I had lost you. Don’t you ever do that again Eddie Munson, because if this shit repeats again you are dead. And this time will be real” He laughs, god I hate seeing him like this.
The doctors come in to check on him while we all wait outside his room.  When they leave my dad makes a signal, telling us he wants to go in by himself. He doesn’t fully close the door , I rest my ear so I can hear what they are talking about.
“Thank you, son” he says
“For what, sir?” I can’t hear his voice clearly.
“For taking care of her, for protecting her everyday, since the first day you started dating. You are a good boy Munson” I smile to myself. “ You are welcome to the Hopper family”

Stranger Things Henry x Male Reader
It has been a few years since the Creels moved in, you lived near them, just a few houses down from them. You were the popular kid at school, every girl wanted you and every boy wanted to be you. You could say that Henry Creel was a nerdy loner kinda kid, his sister, Alice, was somewhat popular but not super popular, she has a group of friends she stays with. Alice was a few years old then you and Henry. Even tho it was the 60s and not the 50s anymore you still wanted to have a rockabilly kinda look, as a teen you can have that now.
You knew Henry and Alice since they moved in, you and Henry became friends. After a while, you had a crush on him. People at school didn't really understand why you two are friends, you two aren't anything alike, right? You were cool, dark, and mysterious. Henry was quiet, a loner, and what people would call a nerd.
You put your shit back in your locker and let out a sigh. Henry had his locker next to yours (lucky right?), he came up behind you and put his stuff back in his locker too.
"Hay, I made sure my parents were ok with you coming over for a night or two, they said yes." Henry said.
"Bitchin'" You said as you closed your locker and leaned on it.
At least both of you had an after school thing to do so neither of you had to wait for the other to be done. You had a rock band and he had a science club. Since you had a rock band a lot of parents didn't like you much (they especially don't want you dating their daughters), they thought rock music was evil. So it was surprising that his parents let you be friends with him, maybe because they knew you since they moved in.
You had a few songs made already, so maybe you could play some for the prom if the school let you.
When you got done with doing shit with your band you said bye to them and left, you walked out to your car and put your guitar in the back. Once you closed it you saw Henry walk out, he put his bag in the back seat of the car and got into the front passenger.
"Did you make anything new?" Henry asked.
"Still working on one" You said.
You started your car and drove out of the parking lot.

⟬ Childhood Comrades ⟭
Henry Creel x Reader
•Chapter 6•
[Click this for the chapters]
Tumblr media
Summary: Years has passed after THAT one incident, you've finally learned to let go of the past and continue to stride towards the future, but when a certain odd ball in your place of work gets too familiar in comparison with your 'deceased' best friend, can you really move on? Word Count:1.3k
A/N: Feel free to give me suggestions for the next chap!
Tumblr media
Its been years since the infamous incident, Mr. Creel was accused of murdering his family, but not just murdering them normally, their eyes were said to be plucked out leaving their soggy, bloody eye-sockets empty, while his wife and daughter sadly passed, his son survived for a little while in a coma, but also sadly died not a month after.
What happened to Mr. Creel you say? Well, he was confined in a psychiatric hospital, locked away from human interaction, because it may cause him to go 'feral' they say.
It's quite sad to think that the Hawkins police department would just drop the case like its a fart in the wind.
"Ms. L/N? Ms. L/N? Are you still with us?" An interviewer waved his hands in front of me. After the incident, I felt so alone and incredibly sad by the fact that I had no one now to play with and to you know... Share my snacks, drink tea, joke with, laugh with, or even complain to them.
"Yes, yes, I'm here, sorry" I snap back waving my hand holding a folder. "So as I must REPEAT" making the last word spoken louder. "Why is it that you want to apply to this job Ms. L/N?"
" I.. I want to apply for this job because..."
HIRED!
The stamp's slam echoed around the room, what you may ask the job I just got hired too is?
Babysitting
I know it sounds bullshit, but it's what I call it, it was originally called care taking for children, but who would want to say a whole phrase if you were in a hurry?
"Nice to meet you Ms.L/N I'll be your tour guide today in the facility" A lady hurriedly shook my hand while talking fast. "H-hi thank yo-"
"No time for chit-chat missy, you'll be starting your shift tomorrow" She cuts me off; handing me a pair of white pants with a polo, coming with a black belt and shoes."Since you'll be getting a tutorial today and getting a dorm"she then pulls me along the never ending hallways of white walls.
"What dorm? I was told that I-"
"Honey, all the people here lives in this facility, they get their respective dorms with all the proper things a person would have in their house or apartment" She abruptly stops in front of a room making me bump her back.
"Ah! Here we are, this is your room darling, and here is your keys" She kisses my cheek roughly staining my face with a bright red lipstick of hers. "Change into your uniform and meet me here outside of your dorm okay baby?" She waves goodbye and hurriedly flees.
"Speaking of rowdy" I shrug as I went in the room, I was then met by a plain looking space, a nightstand next to a bed and a door leading to the bathroom, basically, the room contained all the essentials a person would need in a house, but smaller. Walls were painted off-white with flat circular lights attached to the ceiling.
"Better get started now" I chuckle as I began to undress myself.
{Time Skip}
I opened the door leading to endless hallways of white walls. "Hey there missy, Sorry I took long, gotta smack people in the ass for not workin' ya know." She nudges my arm as she laughs. "Ahaha yes.." To be honest I like energetic people, but not the 'too' energetic ones, you get it right?
"Well- let's start now yes?" She fixes her uniform, "Sur-"
"Oh! What a silly question I ask!, of course we need to start now!" snorting loudly, she begins to tour the facility.
-
"That's all I was told to tell you 'bout, but remember darlin' do not go in anymore rooms that I didn't mention alright?" She then leaves me in front of a door with a small window that's led to a room decorated with a rainbow on the walls.
-
"Don't you think its a bit too early for day dreaming?" A voice chimes in beside me. "I am not day dreaming." I roll my eyes. It has been 2 years since I applied for the job, turns out it was not a babysitting job, it was about supervising children that's getting experimented on.
At first it flabbergasted me on why would they experiment of children? Even if they have powers, isn't it bad to?
But as time would always do, My worries gradually went away, although, deep down I still have this guts to save the poor children.
"Hm? You've been staring at nothing for the past 6 minutes, you wouldn't expect a person to think that your not just day dreaming" He chuckles as if we were friends.
Before I could even answer him back the speaker interrupted. 'All staffs please proceed to your designated areas, I repeat, All staffs please proceed to your designated areas.'
"Welp, Breaks done, see you later" He waves goodbye jogging to the exit. "Never.." I mumbled; calmly walking to my area. But then I noticed a silhouette passing just not that far in front of me.
"Hm?" curiosity wonders around the cat, I followed the unknown shadow. He was fast roaming around the hallways as if he was being chased by someone, well- not me, I'm not chasing him.
He suddenly stopped and turns to my direction, and of course, I hid behind a wall. I then heard his footsteps fading away, when I turn to his direction, the person was gone. I was now just looking to empty white hallways
"Why aren't you still in your area? Lunch break is over now." A voice chimes in making me slightly jump while turning around. "Oh! Sorry Dr. Brenner, I-I was jus-"
"Its fine, Hurry now, you wouldn't want to be punished by slacking off yes?" He smiles. "Understood, I'll take my leave now." I hanged my head down as I pass him.
-
The day has ended in just a flash of light. The whole time I was working, I kept thinking about 'him' he was wearing the same uniforms as the others, but I didn't even see him just once during my time being in this building, was he a new recruit? Questions fled my mind when a shadow past by again.
As a very dumb person of me, I followed it once more, But this time he was walking slow, like- like he wants me to follow him. I was zoning out while following him that I didn't notice him stopping making me bump his back.
"Why are you following me?" He calmly enunciated. "I'm not" I cross my arms, brows furrowing.
"Don't lie to me, You also followed me this afternoon" He stated; back still facing. "What do you want?" He then turns to me with a stoic expression.
"I don't want anything"
"Then why do you keep following me?" He leans down to my height. [Man I just know that this guy is very, very tall]
"I.. I have never seen you in this facility before, are you new? or?" I step backwards, he was making me feel so uncomfortable now "I've been working in this hospital for years, maybe you just don't have a knack for remembering people" He lifts his chin to straighten his posture and proceeds to pass by me.
He suddenly stops and glances to his side, "I've seen you here... In fact, many, many times, How come you didn't notice a person who's been working here for a long time?" He then flees.
"rude blondie" I shrug.
-
"Hey there" A blonde man sits on the opposite side of the table. "Sorry for the rude first impression yesterday" He smiles.
"Yeah, me too, sorry if I made you feel uncomfortable by following you haha" I scratch my name. "Oh, don't worry I didn't feel uncomfortable, I was just wondering why would you follow me around the building." He chuckles.
"My name is Peter" He held his hand out. "Y/N" I shook his hand. "Y/N... Y/N is a very beautiful name" He was so different from yesterday, its like he was possessed now and is trying to lure me just to eat me. [I WILL NOT HEAR ANYONE OUT]
Chapter 7 will be out soon
