Fill Screw Holes in Wood to Redrill Screw Holes
If you need to fill screw holes in wood to redrill, you can try to fill the hole with a piece of dowel. Carved pieces of wood can be covered in wood glue and inserted into the screw hole. Make sure not to use too much force, as this will strip the wood again. To make the process easier, you can use a putty knife. You can buy 400 Dowel pieces for $12 to $15. They are carved to fit the hole so that you can simply redrill them.
The best thing about these repairs is that you can reuse your wooden furniture without tearing it down and replacing it. There are many types of wood filler on the market, and they all yield the same results. Vinyl wood filler is quick and easy to use, while gypsum are used to fill wood surfaces. To find the best type for your project, you should consult a wood repair specialist.
Wood filler is an excellent alternative to drills. Wood filler can be made from sawdust and wood glue. If you don't want to spend the money on expensive materials, wooden plugs are also suitable. However, wood filler is difficult to sand after it dries and becomes harder than the original wood. Therefore, it is important to use a putty knife to apply the filler.
To fix stripped screw holes, you can use a dowel. Use a toothpick or a matchstick to fill the wood plug. You can also use wood filler in wood to redrill screw holes. A piece of dowel should fit snugly into the screw hole and be tapped gently with a hammer. Afterward, you can paint the plug with any color that matches the rest of the wood.
When redrilling a screw, it is recommended to use a wood filler that will allow you to apply glue without the risk of splitting or cracking. Titebond is an excellent choice. You should check that the filler has no air bubbles before you apply it. When applying wood filler, it is important to use a pilot hole because wood filler may crack under heavy loads.
Filling a hole is not as easy as you think. The wood may crack while redrilling and the filler may contain air bubbles that will interfere with the screw's fit. Filling a hole with wood filler is only cosmetic and will not hold the screw in place. This will not hold the screw tightly and will lose its strength soon. When redrilling, it is important to remember that wood filler is a temporary solution.
When using a screwdriver to redrill a wood screw, be sure to always use a good lubricant. This will make it easier to screw into the wood. The wood filler will also hold attached wood pieces without too much weight. But be careful when using it, as you may end up damaging the wood! The next time you do this repair, remember to always follow these tips.

You help Happy at work
Tumblr media
"I can't believe they left you here with all of this."
Happy smiled, "it's alright little girl, I've got you to help me."
You smiled, "yep, as much as I have no idea what I'm going, I think you'll be a good teacher."
He smiled, "can you hand me that part?" He pointed over to the table at what looked like those fans you find in a warehouse.
"This bit?"
He smiled as you passed it to him, "yep."
He looked it over with an unimpressed look on his face, "what's wrong my love?"
He frowned, "the customer had this made and the person has done a shit job, I've got to redrill half these holes."
You tilted your head, "how can you know that but just looking at it?"
He came over to you and put the part in front of your face, pointing to the holes, "see how these are rough?"
You nodded, "they're meant to be smooth and I can tell by the way the metal looks that the drill wasn't the right one so if I don't redo them, they'll loosen over time."
Happy took the part over to the drill and you followed him, "can I watch?"
He smiled and handed you a pair of safety glasses off the shelf, "sure but safety first." You put the glasses on and Happy pressed a kiss to the tip of your nose, "very cute."
He started the drill and you watched the concentration come over his face, Happy seemed to be watching you just as much as the power tool because his smile grew, as he finished, he put the part down on the table and met your eyes, "you having fun?"
You nodded, "of course I am."
"You wanna tell me why?"
You smiled at him, big and wide, "sure, but lunch first."
Happy hadn't stopped smiling since the garage, his face a wide grin as you put his lunch in front of him, "what's gotten into you?" I don't think anyone has seen you smile this much."
He shrugged, "I just like having you with me." It was said so casually and yet you believed every word.
"I like being with you too."
He reached across the table and took your hand in his, "I thought working on cars with me would be the last thing you would want to do on your day off?"
You shook your head, "no way, I love watching you fix cars."
He smiled, "why?"
His thumb rubbed the back of your palm, "because you're good at it and I can tell you enjoy it. It's no different from watching a painter or a dancer."
"So you don't want a wall street banker?"
You snorted, "I'd rather not crawl into bed with a soulless monster every night thank you very much."
He laughed, "so you're alright with the fact that we'll never be rich? You work in an animal shelter, it's not like you make bank."
You squeezed his hand, "if I've got you, I don't need money."
"I'm a lucky man."
You huffed, "yeah, well we've got the whole day to ourselves and I'm going to be stuck to you like an orphaned kitten, you might not think that when I've asked you the same question twenty times."
Happy chuckled, "I can't wait."
****
Happy didn't lie, he answered all your questions with a smile on his face. The sun was about to set by the time he had gotten through all the work for that day. "When are the guys back?"
Happy washed the oil off his hands, "we still got a while."
You walked up to him and took his head in your hands, "I had so much fun today."
"So did I." He kissed you, his lips soft and affectionate against yours.
"You've been so good for me today, would you like a reward?"
You rubbed his nose with yours, "I'd like that very much." He kissed you again, more forceful this time and then he was walking you towards the bench and throwing you onto it.
"How's that?"
You smiled, "well, if that's it then that's not much of a reward."
He buried his face in your neck and nibbled your skin, "that's not it little girl." His hands moved to your top as he buttoned it, his hands stroking your skin as it was exposed to his gaze. "My good girl, you're so good for me." His lips went soft again as he removed your pants, the late day sunlight coming in for the thin slit under the closed garage door making your skin glow.
You put a hand on his chest and he paused, "is something wrong?"
You shook your head, "no, I just wanted to thank you too." You pushed him a little harder and he stepped back then you dropped to your knees, Happy's hands going to stoke your cheek as you opened his pants.
"You're so good for me."
You smiled up and him and pulled his jeans down with his boxers, his hard cock popping free and hitting his stomach, "may I?"
Happy snorted, "may I? You don't need to ask my polite girl." You took his cock in your hand and held the base while your tongue circled the head, Happy gasping and you sucked the head into your mouth.
"That's it, you're so good at that." Your moan at his praise had him gripping your shoulder with force, just enough to bruise but not enough to hurt. Praised poured out of his mouth as you worked him up but before you could take him past the edge, he was yanking you to your feet, "we ain't done yet little girl."
He tossed you back on the bench and tore your jeans off then ripped your panties down the middle and threw them over his shoulder, "someone is going to need to pick that up."
He shrugged, "I'll get the prospect to do it." You giggled, "you want the prospect to see my ripped panties?"
His eyebrows wrinkled, "on second thought, I'll pick them up when we're done here."
He lifted one of your legs and put it on the bench, opening you up so he had full access then his fingers were drifting down your body to your core. He looked to you for consent and you smiled, "please."
He smiled back and ran his fingers through your centre, smiling when he found you wet, "my good girl, I love you so much."
He nuzzled his cheek to yours as, "I love you too Hap."
He kissed you as he slid two fingers inside you and placed his thumb on your clit, "there you go, that feel good?" You whimpered as he crooked his fingers and rubbed your G-spot.
"Hap, please."
He other hand came up to hold you face, "I'll give you what you need, don't worry." He wasn't lying, his thumb sped up and he poured every one of love into a kiss on your lips and you came around his fingers.
"Good girl." You smiled as he stepped back, "you want this?"
You nodded, "tell me what you'll say if you want me to stop."
His face was soft was he waited for your answer, "stop, I don't like this, I want to do something different."
Happy nodded, "good girl, and if your mouth is occupied?" You tapped the table twice then reached out and tapped his arm. "That's right, my smart girl, always so good at telling me what you need."
He kissed you one last time before spinning your around, shoving your chest to the bench and tapping your calf with his foot so you spread them open. He stepped forward and garbed his cock, rubbing it up and down your slit before sliding inside you with a grunt, "fuck, you're so fucking tight and wet." You moaned as his hand came around your body to rub your clit, his hips thrusting in a focused roll.
"Fuck you feel so good." Happy shifted, tapping your hand and placing it on his forearm before placing his hand over your neck as his hips sped up, "tap if you need me to let go." You nodded as best you could with his huge hands around your neck, "good girl." You felt so trapped but so safe, you don't think there was a person alive who wouldn't second guess having Happy's hand around their neck and yet you felt so held.
"Please, I need more."
Happy smirked against your shoulder, "I can do that." His hips slammed into yours as his lips pressed to your back, "come on, be a good girl and cum for me." You gasped as he put all his weight into a thrust, the hand on your neck keeping you grounded as you came. Happy followed soon after grunting like an animal as he coated your walls. His hand left your neck and squeezed your shoulder gently, rubbing the tension out from holding you at a strange angle.
"You good little girl?" You sighed and spun around, resting your head on his bicep as it caged you.
"I'm good, are you?"
He smiled, "I'm great." He stood up and took your hand, pulling you into his arms and holding you against him while your legs regained their strength.
"We should go for a shower."
You kissed his neck, "yeah, we're both all gross and you're still wearing your shirt."
He chuckled, "yeah. We better hurry up before the others get back."
He handed you his hoodie as you weren't totally naked, "I'll get you a change of clothes out of your car, you start the shower."
"Thanks Hap. I love you."
He kissed you again, his hand lingering on your face, "love you too little girl."

Five years later [oof] and here’s the retainer bowling headcanons as promised!
Neutral:
Jakob - Oh he’s good. Maybe not pro good, but still really good. He’s currently playing in the alley’s Friday night league. Uses a customised 12 lb ball
Felicia - This poor woman is a regular in the alley’s pro shop. Something is always wrong with her ball. Despite this, she’s actually rather good and her best game was only two strikes away from a 300. Per Gunther’s suggestion, she’s considering replacing her customised 8 lb ball with an 11 as she may have “outgrown” the lighter weight and has her eye on one with a nice bull design on it
Flora - She’s not much of a bowler and that lack of skill shows every time she hits the lanes. She’s not necessarily bothered by this, though she is surprised that her clumsy twin is better at bowling than she is. Uses an 8 lb house ball, though Felicia has said she’s welcome to have hers if she ever does get that new 11 lb ball
Gunther - He’s the pro shop’s house pro and the reason Corrin even knows how to play. He may be retired and doesn’t play much these days, but when he does, there is no rust in sight. Uses a customised 16 lb ball and a wrist brace
Kaze - He’s just as good as the pros, but finds more enjoyment in semi-pro play. A teammate of Jakob’s in the Friday night league. He usually bowls with a customised 15 lb ball, but the finger holes need redrilling, so he’s using a house ball of equal weight for the time being
Hoshido:
Saizou - Another pro who can give Hinoka a run for her money and has won a couple of championships. Bowls left handed. Uses a customised 15 lb ball and a wrist brace
Kagerou - Surprisingly, she sucks at bowling. Every other frame is a gutter ball and it’s starting to frustrate her. Laslow and Gunther have offered to coach her, but she insists on learning on her own. Uses a 14 lb house ball, but Ryouma is trying to get her to use a lighter ball
Azama - He literally does not care for bowling. Yeah, he’ll bowl anyway when Hinoka insists, but he’s not particularly invested in the sport. He’s actually pretty good when he does put some effort into his playing. Uses a 12 lb house ball
Setsuna - Good Gods above, this woman cannot bowl to save her life. As much as she’s worse than Kagerou, people still intently watch Setsuna bowl, just in case she finally bowls her first strike. Uses an 8 lb house ball
Hinata - He’d rather play cheerleader for Takumi, but he’s not bad himself. His scores are always decent, consisting of mostly spares with some open frames and the odd strike, but Oboro feels he’d play better if he’d wipe the pizza grease off his hands before grabbing the ball off the ball return. Uses a 13 lb house ball, but rumour has it Odin’s planning on getting him a customised ball for his birthday
Oboro - She does like playing, but she’s not that good at it. She’s mainly just here to have fun, but she does at least try to do her best. Uses a customised 8 lb ball that once belonged to her mom and a wrist brace
Tsubaki - Okay, so you’d think this guy had never bowled anything less than a strike in his entire life, right? WRONG! Yes, he’s a phenomenal bowler, but he’s actually not perfect, something he struggled a bit to accept. Also in the Friday night league, though on a different team than Jakob and Kaze. Uses a customised 15 lb ball and initially didn’t use a wrist brace, but had to start using one when he sprained his wrist on a bad throw
Hana - She’s a fairly average bowler, but she’s very competitive. She and Selena are constantly trying to one up each other on the lanes, but this always leads to less strikes for the both of them. Uses a 10 lb house ball
Nohr:
Laslow - He says he bowls to catch the attention of the ladies, but the truth is that his dad was a champion pro bowler who met his mom, who worked in the lounge as the bartender, while at a tournament. His real reason for bowling is to keep their memory alive – meeting someone there like how his parents met would be a bonus. Another lefty. Uses a customised 14 lb ball that has his parents’ names engraved above the finger holes
Peri - She lives for the “glow bowl”, a term she uses for cosmic bowling. She’s campaigning to start up a cosmic bowling league, hoping to attract other league players who would rather play under the blacklights and disco balls like she does. As for her skill, she’s pretty good, though she would like to improve a bit. Uses a customised glow-in-the-dark 13 lb ball
Beruka - She’s new to the pro scene, but she’s a pro nonetheless. Another member of the 300 Club. Her customised ball is heavier than it ought to be at 15 lb, but it was a gift from her mentor and she’s used that ball so much that she can’t bowl with anything lighter. She had to have a new thumb hole drilled in to accommodate her smaller grip as the span was too wide for her to use
Selena - She wants to be a pro so badly just like her mom, but she’s not quite there yet. She has begrudgingly accepted pointers from Tsubaki, which has improved her playing significantly. She’s sticking to 10 lb house balls until she does finally become a pro
Niles - Split Queen Elise, meet Split King Niles. He may not bowl as many splits as she does, but he still picks them up without fail. One of Tsubaki’s teammates in the Friday night league. Uses a customised 16 lb ball and a wrist brace
Odin - He’s definitely a more for-fun bowler, since he’s not quite comfortable with joining a league yet, but maybe one day when he doesn’t bowl so many open frames. His stance and approach are definitely something to behold though. Alternates between using a customised 13 lb ball and a 14 lb house ball – he’s testing the latter’s weight to see if he needs to go up
Arthur - Arguably the worst bowler out of everyone present. Nearly every frame is left open, but sometimes he’ll pick up a spare. Despite this, he still has fun, and isn’t that the most important thing? Uses a 16 lb house ball
Effie - She didn’t start off so hot, but after three years in the Friday night league, she’s joined the 300 Club and her best series was a few points off from joining the more elusive 800 Club. Uses a customised 12 lb ball and a wrist brace, though she’ll grab a 13 lb house ball for some of the trickier splits
I LOVE these, thank you for submitting!

and therefore is winged cupid flying blind - ch. 4
Fandom: Top Gun: Maverick Pairing: Natasha “Phoenix” Trace/Bradley “Rooster” Bradshaw Rating: E Chapter Count: 4/?
Chapter summary: She sorta wishes she could blame blurting out the broad strokes of her romantic history with Bradley to Bob on being three margaritas deep, but honestly, she started spilling the whole story about two sips into the first one.
day 4
“So, you panicked,” Bob summarizes.
“I panicked,” Natasha agrees, nodding and stuffing a nacho shiny with queso and green with fat jalapeno slices into her mouth.
It’s the day after… everything. After Mav kicked all their asses at dogfighting. After Bradley risked his life for no goddamn good reason. After Natasha sat with him long enough to allow him to make her afraid, which is a place in her mind she just does not go. It’s no good for her, not with the naval career she has, not with the mission on the horizon.
Natasha, Bob, and the rest of the candidates spent the morning in a classroom, being drilled and redrilled on the capabilities of the enemy’s 5th-gen fighter jets. After having their appetite whetted by so much time airborne the day before, they were restless in their seats. They weren’t the only restless ones; Maverick was practically wearing a hole in the floor at the front of the room with all his pacing while he instructed them on defensive maneuvers that could buy them time. The rumour is that Cyclone blew up at him after the dangerous shit he and Bradley did yesterday. Threatened to ground him, apparently. Nobody believes he’ll go through with it—Mav wasn’t removed as their instructor and, what, they’re going to have an instructor who doesn’t have permission to fly?—but Mav seems to be giving Cyclone a little time to cool off before the next boneheaded stunt he pulls. And Natasha thinks that with the greatest respect and admiration for Captain Mitchell, as a pilot and as a— Actually, she kind of wants to put Mav in a headlock and squeeze until he acknowledges that almost getting himself and Bradley killed is not the best way to resolve their issues, or he passes out. Either’s good for her.
The nachos and icy-cold margaritas she and her back-seater are enjoying at a Mexican restaurant just down from the Hard Deck are the best possible use of their shortened day of instruction. It’s either a late lunch or an early dinner and she’s feeling too loose to care. She sorta wishes she could blame blurting out the broad strokes of her romantic history with Bradley to Bob on being three margaritas deep, but honestly, she started spilling the whole story about two sips into the first one. But this is all healthy and wise. It’s… bonding. And, fuck, Bob’s just a good listener.
“Do you wish you’d stayed out there with him?” Bob asks.
He pushes his glasses back up the sweaty bridge of his nose before going in for another loaded nacho. They requested extra jalapenos on this plate they’re sharing and, yeah, request granted. Natasha’s lips are tingling. She lifts her glass to her lips just to cool them on the condensation, then speaks across the rim.
“I don’t know, Bob,” she says. “I was trying to follow my instincts.”
“Smart.”
“Yeah, unless I fucked up.”
“True.”
She snorts and shoves him with her elbow.
“You can’t have every opinion,” she protests.
“Did you have a preference of which one you felt better about me agreeing with?”
“I would prefer hearing what you actually think.”
He shrugs and frowns. Natasha takes a deep swallow from her glass as she watches him contemplate her problem.
“I’ve never had a history with anybody like what you have with Rooster,” he says, “but I guess I’d consider, overall, are they good for you?”
She straightens up. It’s not what she expected Bob to say, but then, she is still learning to anticipate him.
“What?”
“Is Rooster a good person for you to be around? Does being around him make you feel better or worse than not being around him?”
“I don’t have a choice,” Natasha reminds Bob, which is kind of an easy out. “We’re candidates for the same mission. I’m going to be around him. I have to be around him.”
“Did you miss him when he was overseas?”
That one surprises her too.
“Of course I did.”
“Why?”
“Because I lo—” She cuts her kneejerk response off with an irritated smile. Nope nope nope. Better not to say that word aloud. “Because I care that he’s ok,” she amends.
“And?”
She narrows her eyes at Bob for pressing, but she did invite this. If her history with Bradley is a full trash can, then today she dumped that trash all over Bob’s lawn. And also Bob’s really into trash. He’s, like, a raccoon or something. A wise raccoon who dispenses relationship advice for people who technically aren’t in relationships. A raccoon who wears glasses.
“Because I want him to care that I’m ok,” Natasha admits a little more quietly.
“And?”
Ok, that’s one “and” too many.
“Because I’m going through mustache withdrawal.”
When Bob appears confused, Natasha licks along the rim of her glass with the tip of her tongue, then grins when he flushes and looks away, going, “Oh. Ok. Uh, sorry?”
She takes a sip and smiles to herself.
“I don’t want to not be around him. Is that good or bad?”
“I don’t know.”
“Yeah,” she sighs.
“I think he cares about you too,” Bob assesses, out of nowhere. “A lot.”
Natasha twists towards him and smacks the back of her hand into his chest while he’s selecting a nacho.
“What the hell? You can’t just go opposite-of-neutral out of nowhere.”
“I’m telling you what I think! I think he counts on you. Trusts you,” he adds, chewing. “I don’t think he’d try to hurt you—”
“He doesn’t need to try.”
“It seems like he’d listen,” Bob suggests gently, “if you maybe wanted to talk to him about anything.”
“We’re not great at talking. I never know if Bradshaw hears me because he never fucking says anything back.”
“You look good together though.”
Natasha rolls her eyes.
“Awesome,” she says sarcastically.
“No, really. If this were only about aesthetics…” A short laugh escapes him at the sight of her annoyed expression. “Maybe this is where Hangman was coming from.”
Bob dissolves into laughter, his hands flying up to block the feigned punch that doesn’t actually make contact with his palms. Natasha shakes her head at him warningly as she drops her fist, but she can’t keep the smile off her face.
“If I ever hear you agreeing with Hangman again, I’m taking you to see a doctor,” she says.
“Maybe one that does tongue transplants.”
He lets his loll out of his mouth with an exaggerated pant and she knows that feeling, still eating nachos while her mouth burns. She pushes his margarita towards him and they’re soothing their tongues when Payback walks past the restaurant. Natasha knocks the toe of her shoe against the window they’re sitting behind to get his attention. Payback raises a hand in recognition and heads towards the front door.
“What’s going on here?” he asks, smiling as he comes up to their table and stops with his hands on his hips.
“Important meeting with my WSO,” Natasha tells him.
“Mission-critical,” Bob garbles around a mouthful of margarita.
“Where’s Fanboy?” she wonders, glancing back out the window.
“We’re not as codependent as you two,” Payback says. “I can actually go places on my own.”
“And how long were you on your own before you came in to see us?”
Payback looks away and sighs.
“Thought so,” Natasha says, extra gleeful with the margaritas in her system. “Take a seat.”
He draws out the unused third chair at their table and sits down.
“Help yourself to nachos,” Bob invites, but Payback squints at the plate skeptically.
“You know there’s a line between flavour and burning your tastebuds off, right?”
“It’s a fine line.”
“Not that fine.”
Bob and Natasha exchange a look and continue eating.
“It’s like one brain,” Payback notes, laughing. “No wonder you don’t notice me and Fanboy anymore.”
“What are you talking about?” Natasha demands.
“We used to be your guys.”
“You’re still my guys.”
“You’ve got Bob now,” he says.
Bob glances uncertainly between them.
Payback’s just joking around, mostly, but Natasha can’t ignore her internal voice pointing out that at least Payback can tell her when he feels like something’s off between them, whether it’s just insecurity or she really has been slacking on her other friendships since getting to know her back-seater. He doesn’t make it a big deal, doesn’t let minor hurt feelings fester into this wide, uncrossable silence. He’s both easygoing and direct. A pilot’s pilot.
“Yeah,” she says, smiling as she looks from Payback to Bob and back, “but Bob and I aren’t a separate thing. Bob’s one of us. I’ll vouch for him.”
Bob appears delighted by this and Natasha’s only sorry she didn’t make it clear sooner. Yes, she’s been aware of the pilot-WSO bubble they’ve been in, but she wanted them to be able to bond. She never meant for it to make Bob or her other friends feel like they were being compartmentalized.
“Good enough for me,” Payback says easily.
He flags down a waiter and soon their happy trio is enjoying margaritas together.
“So,” Payback begins, “what kind of mission-critical conversation was going on before I joined you?”
“Um,” Natasha says. She looks to Bob.
“Inter-interpersonal… uh…” Bob stammers.
Payback narrows his eyes and appraises them.
“Don’t tell me it’s the Rooster thing still,” he says.
“Don’t say it like that,” she says, at the same moment Bob asks, “Still?”
“Oh yeah,” Payback says with a laugh. “There’s always been a Rooster thing. Not like this though. Normally, it’s them being so into each other that they forget the rest of us are around, and then somehow thinking we don’t know they’re hooking up.”
“You’re just observant.”
“Yes, I am,” he agrees, “but you two are still obvious as hell.” He smiles at Bob. “Our girl here does not have your stealth.”
“How many postings have you shared with me and Rooster?” she asks. “Like, none? Don’t be such a know-it-all.”
“I don’t need to be stationed with you! You guys were always together when we met up on leave. And you talked about him all the time.”
“That’s interesting,” Bob interjects. “Getting her to talk about him now has been impossible.”
Natasha gives her back-seater a dead stare.
“Your idea of impossible is fucked. It took me like three days to tell you everything.”
“That is impressive, man,” Payback assures him.
The men clink their glasses together while Natasha rolls her eyes.
“Well, if you want some more advice…” Payback starts.
“I literally did not ask.”
“…I think you and Rooster are fucking adorable and it’s time to shit or get off the pot, Phoenix.”
She glares at him.
“Ok,” she says carefully, sliding her drink around the table by the glass’s stem, “you don’t really know the situation, so anything you tell me—”
“I’m telling you to shit,” Payback stresses. “Whatever you decide to do, Rooster’s gonna follow your lead. That asshole would do anything for you. So, please, for the sake of everyone on the fringes, unclench your ass and shit.”
“Jesus, Payback,” Natasha complains, but she’s laughing. So is Bob.
“And then we can finally move on and talk about something important.”
She sits up straighter.
“What?” she asks. “What is it?”
Payback leans forward, lacing his fingers together on the table. His expression is grave as he meets Natasha’s eye, then Bob’s.
“Does Halo ever talk about me?”
“Oh my god,” Natasha groans. “I thought this was about something serious.”
“Another great reason to unclench your ass is so you can maybe pull your head out of it and realize that relationships can look like something besides quietly pining for your best friend for, like, a decade.”
“Hey.”
“So you would classify what’s going on between you and Halo as a relationship?” Bob checks, leaning in with interest. Natasha lets out an amused noise.
“Alright, not yet,” he allows, “but there was definitely some serious—” Payback glances at Natasha as he emphasizes the word. “—flirting the night we got here.”
“Yeah, she asked me about you the other day,” she says.
“Were you going to tell me?”
“I think you just heard me tell you.”
“Well, what’d she say?”
Payback’s been brutally honest with her, so Natasha will return the favour.
“She’s DTF.”
Pumping his fist, Payback flings himself back in his seat.
“Productive meeting,” Bob decides, and downs the end of his margarita.

Spent way too much time rebuilding my old Ski Doc. The wheels needed a lot of fiberglass and resin to fix the cracked and broken mounting points. Only the inside halves were broken but glassed both sides for strength. Then set up a jig to redrill all the bolt holes.

Renovating a Bathroom – Things You Need to Know
If you’ve been dreaming of redoing your bathroom, there are several options available to you. A DIY project requires a lot of time and effort, but is also cheaper than hiring a professional. Hiring a professional eliminates the need for dirty work and offers the benefit of a professional’s experience. Moreover, a cosmetic facelift is usually done quickly and is much cheaper than a full renovation.
Cost of materials
The cost of materials for renovating a bathroom depends on the style of the renovation, the type of bathroom door and the ceiling. Some bathrooms have asbestos, which can be expensive to remove. This is a time-consuming process, and it can increase the overall cost of the project. The cost of renovating a bathroom also includes the cost of sealing the house.
The most expensive bathroom remodel is one that entails changing the floor plan, which requires a lot of planning and professional help. It can involve redrilling joists, rerouting electrical wiring and insulating the space. In addition, you may need to hire a structural engineer, which will cost an additional $5,000 or more. This professional will make sure that the new bathroom floor can withstand the weight of a bathtub full of water.
Changing the fixtures in your bathroom can drastically change the look. You can purchase new ones in home improvement stores or online. You should choose the same size as the existing fixtures, or slightly larger, so that they can match the existing space. Remember to choose fixtures that are appropriate for the height of the plumbing connections. If you need to move the electrical supply or relocate some of the fixtures, you will have to pay for the extra work. You will also have to patch the walls before installing new fixtures.
If you decide to do the renovation yourself, you may be able to save money by DIYing some of the work. However, if you’re hiring a contractor, remember that the cost of materials for renovating a bathroom will depend on the location you live in. For example, in the coastal states, costs are generally higher than in the mid-western United States. This difference can be mitigated by careful shopping and comparison-shopping.
Choosing a contractor
Choosing a bathroom contractor is an important decision that you need to make with care if you want your bathroom restoration project to be a success. If possible, ask for recommendations from friends and experts. You can also get recommendations from home improvement stores and local builders. Many of these businesses will offer discounts to those who use them for their remodeling projects.
Choosing a bathroom contractor can be an exciting, yet intimidating task. You must make sure that you choose a contractor you feel comfortable working with and can trust. Ask for references and make sure that they have liability insurance. You should also choose a contractor with whom you can communicate easily. If they find it difficult to communicate, it might be a sign that you’ll run into problems in the future.
Another important consideration is the cost. While choosing a bathroom contractor, it’s important to understand what the contractor’s bid includes. Some bids may include design elements, while others will not. Obtaining a written estimate is valuable in case of legal action. It’s also vital to check out their work portfolio.
Choosing a bathroom contractor with a high level of experience is essential for a successful bathroom renovation project. Look for a contractor with at least five years of experience in the industry. A long-established company should be able to provide you with valid references and past customers who can attest to their professionalism. Moreover, check if the contractor has the Renomark certification, which signifies that the company is a bona fide member of the Canadian Home Builders Association.
When hiring a bathroom contractor, remember to ask for recommendations from friends and family members who have used them for their renovation projects. The contractor should be insured, have a license, and have extensive experience in bathroom remodeling. You can also use the Internet to search for potential candidates. However, personal referrals are the best source of bathroom contractor leads. Check whether the contractor is a member of the National Kitchen and Bath Association and the National Association of the Remodeling Industry.
Preparing a renovation schedule
Preparing a bathroom renovation schedule can help you avoid the pitfalls of a rushed project. A bathroom remodel can take several months to complete. It starts with the assessment of the subfloor, recommended leveling, repairs, electrical wiring, and plumbing installations. It also involves the installation of new plumbing fixtures, vanities, countertops, and hardware. It also includes inspections of pipes. You should allow enough time for these tasks, especially if you hire a contractor.
The last step in the bathroom renovation schedule is a thorough walkthrough with your contractor. It is the final chance to get their assistance with finishing touches. Test every detail and make notes if there are any issues. Make sure to ask about warranties. If the contractor provides them, it should help you avoid problems in the future.
It is essential to plan ahead of time, as any changes can affect the time you need to complete each step. Besides saving you time, it also prevents mistakes from occurring during the renovation. For example, if you are planning to replace the vanity, you may have to move a power outlet in the bathroom. You might also have to hire an electrician, so make sure to plan ahead before the big renovation.
Before you begin the renovation, you will need to prepare the space. In some cases, you may need to tear down the old bathroom. To do this, the space needs to be clean. This means that every surface is level, and every nail and trim piece is removed. The build team will then clean the area until it is spotless.
You should also have a budget set. The budget will help you develop the structure of the project and allocate costs appropriately. It will also help you determine the layout and accessories for the bathroom. You do not want to overspend and end up regretting it later.
Getting a permit
Before you start renovating your bathroom, it’s important to get a permit. These permits are inexpensive and can ensure that the job is done correctly. Additionally, they help protect the health of you and future home buyers. In addition, a permit can also ensure that the project is energy efficient.
A bathroom renovation project can involve structural changes, such as adding a new wall or window. It can also involve tearing down a closet to make room for a new bathroom. You’ll also need a permit if you plan to add a new electrical outlet or move a bathtub.
The purpose of a permit is to ensure that the work is done to code and safely. In California, code compliance includes energy and water economy. City inspectors will also visit your remodel to ensure that everything is done correctly. They can also make sure that the contractor is doing a good job.
If you’re renovating a bathroom in a co-op or condominium, you may need to get a DOB permit. These permits require a lot of paperwork, and can be costly. They also require a security deposit. The deposit will be held in escrow and used if there is damage. To make sure if a permit is needed, you can contact the Department of Buildings.
In many cases, getting a permit is not necessary. Some bathroom renovation projects do not require major structural changes, such as installing new fixtures. You may just be changing the flooring or changing the light fixtures. You can also do other small electrical work such as installing a new fan.
Avoiding in-progress changes
Before you start renovating your bathroom, you need to set a budget and design your plan. You can only determine the budget once the design drawings are complete, and it is crucial that you have the exact figure before beginning the renovation. If you are working with a limited budget, research different options that fit within your price range. This will help you set realistic expectations before starting your project.
Choosing the materials that are right for your bathroom is important. There are many options available, and some may be more desirable than others. Take your time to decide which items are essential and which ones aren’t. If you start the remodel without determining what you want, you might end up spending more time than you have on it, or you may decide to include materials that aren’t appropriate for the space.
Designing the space in advance is the best way to avoid in-progress changes and unnecessary expenses. Make sure that you think about your primary users of the room, and select fixtures and materials that perform well and require low maintenance. Avoiding in-progress changes while renovating a bathroom will minimize stress and cost.
The construction process will uncover unexpected issues. For example, a contractor may discover a crack or a hole in a wall while tearing down the old bathroom. These issues can result in expensive repairs to the walls and sub-floor. Another common reason for in-progress changes is a change in the homeowner’s preferences.

What trends are expected for bathrooms in 2023
As consumers demand better-quality products at lower costs, the bathroom industry is rapidly changing.

These include waterless urinals and low-flow toilets.
This trend will also place emphasis on hygiene and health by providing shower heads and other devices to promote better hygiene.
What color looks the best in your bathroom?
There is no definitive answer to this question. There are many preferences and different styles, so what looks good in one bathroom might not be the best in another. However, some popular colours for bathrooms include white, cream, light blue, and pale green. These colours create a calming and serene atmosphere often desired in a bathroom. Of course, it is ultimately up to the individual to decide what colour looks best in their bathroom.
White is the most popular bathroom choice because it makes the room seem bigger and brighter. White is versatile and can be paired with many other colours. Because it is warm and inviting, cream is another popular choice. Light blue is used often in bathrooms as it promotes relaxation. Pale green can be a great choice for bathrooms, because it has a calming effect that can help to create an atmosphere of calm and relaxation. The best bathroom color is one that makes you feel relaxed and comfortable.

How do you do a facelift in a bathroom?
A bathroom remodel is not only about replacing fixtures. It’s about creating a welcoming environment for people to feel at home. You can make your bathroom more welcoming if you want to create a relaxed environment for your guests and yourself.
Here are some ideas:
Consider adding plants. They can help purify your air and enhance natural beauty. You can choose among a variety of indoor plants such as succulents or mosses.
Your lighting should be correct. Lighting plays a big part in creating an attractive and welcoming space. Consider using indirect lighting sources in place of direct. These will give soft, diffused illumination.
Make sure you have a comfortable place to sit. This could be a small table or a bench. To display photographs or art on the wall, shelves could be installed. Adding a mirror to reflect light around the room will help brighten it.
You might want to add a hook for your bathrobe, or coat.
We have plenty of information about bathroom remodelling and accessories. Our experts can help you plan your renovation. Give us today a call!
How can you make a small bathroom seem larger?
There are a few ways to make a tiny bathroom feel bigger. Use lighter colours for the walls and floors. To reflect light, make the space appear bigger by using mirrors. Glass shower door enclosures can open up the space. For an illusion of more space, you can use floating shelves and cabinets.
What bathroom finishes will be in fashion?
The matte black finish was very popular in 2022. It will also continue to be popular in 2023. Bronze and brushed brass will also be in fashion in 2023. These finishes add luxury to any bathroom.
Bathroom finishes are often seen as an afterthought in bathroom design. Because they can have such a big impact on the overall look and feel of the room, it is important to plan for them from the very beginning. They play a vital role in creating a tranquil and serene atmosphere.
It is also important to think about the materials you choose for your bathroom. You might choose a classic white tiled floor with a wooden vanity unit and bathtub. You might choose a more contrasting color scheme or black and white. You need to make sure that the colour scheme you choose works well for you and matches the overall design.
If you are thinking of bathroom finishes, don’t forget that it doesn’t take much to make a bathroom luxurious. You can transform an ordinary bathroom with just a coat of paint.

How To
10 Mistakes to Avoid When Remodeling a Small Bathroom
A small bathroom remodel can be difficult due to limited space. You should always hire professionals to remodel your home. Here we’ve listed some common mistakes people make when remodelling their bathrooms.
Insufficient funds for the project. You might not have enough money to complete your project if you aren’t ready. As remodelling expenses can add up quickly, it would be smart to begin saving.
You should not try to save money on materials. Do not cut corners on any renovation project. It is important to get the highest quality products with the lowest prices. Quality is everything.
Overbuying. One of the biggest mistakes people make when remodelling their bathrooms is buying too much stuff at once without thinking things through first. Make sure you only buy what you need for the job, so you aren’t stuck paying for something you didn’t need.
It is important to plan the use of the room before you start. Many people neglect to plan how they will use their newly renovated space. People often throw items in the space and decide that they don’t need them.
Changes to an existing layout. Sometimes people feel they know exactly what they want, but end up changing the layout completely, making the bathroom less functional.
Do it yourself. Although DIY projects are popular, it is not recommended that you do them all yourself. Hiring contractors will ensure you have someone who understands what they’re doing and has the right equipment.
It is too late to start the project. If you wait until the last minute to start planning and renovating your bathroom, problems may arise along the way. There are many problems that can arise, such as leaky pipes or mold growth.
Being unorganized. It is easy to forget crucial details about a renovation project like where to put the trash can or where to find the power outlets. You will stay more focused if you have an organized workspace.
Not checking references. Check their references before you hire anyone to help with any type of renovation. Ask your family and friends if they have had positive experiences working with these companies.
There are no shortcuts in safety precautions. Safety is paramount, especially when renovating a bathroom. While working on the job, you need to be careful.
