Really been feeling like I’ve been letting myself down and just creating my own problems. In addition to blowing tryouts, I left my kobo at the gym, missed signing up for the dressage, missed signing up for today’s jumping horse show and now regret it, got a ticket for running a red light, couldn’t due my saddle pad because I stained it and didn’t get the stains out in time. And it just sucks to be the cause of your own problems.

But! Instead of dwelling in my shortcomings (much as I love rumination) I am choosing to (try at least) focus on all of the good things!

I got my kobo back from the gym.

I had a good lesson today and she said we could go out to the cross country next week!

My hamstring is not sore after going to the gym and doing a fair bit of legs.

My breakfast sandwich this morning was delicious (English muffin,turkey sausage, cheese and a fried egg)

I have a sun flower sprout!

And look at my beautiful bouquet of flower courtesy of my weird side yard and they smell amazing!

#I don’t like letting myself down #it makes me cranky #and the reduced working out for my hamstring injury is hard on my mental health #but pretty flowers!

Would he ever be put in a position where he has to learn Demonic Cultivation and become the Yiling Patriarch?

Bc I can’t imagine Wuxian slapping new faces on all three of them the moment Lotus Pier is burnt and they are sent away

Which means the Wen would recognize them and Jiang Cheng wouldn’t have to get caught on purpose

Which means he wouldn’t lose his core and Wuxian wouldn’t have to transfer his core

Which means he has less of a chance of being thrown into the Burial Mounds

(On one hand, I love Yiling Patriarch Wuxian. On the other, I just want Wuxian to be happy)

I’m really torn on what I want to do with the Sunshot Campaign in general but more specifically with the Yiling Patriarch. Because on one hand: hot. On the other: one must imagine Wei Wuxian happy.

Also, I cannot deny wangxian their first son and the whole build up to the Yiling Patriarch thing is pretty necessary for them to get Sizhui… but at the same time Wei Wuxian needs a core to live his genderqueer dreams… so I will have to gnaw on it for a while until I can find an answer.

forgive my absolute ignorance and maybe stupidity, but does swimming and other pool related activities help hypermobility? Whenever I told anyone related to medicine I'm having joint pain, they told me to take many a bath and frequent a pool

yes. water-related actitivites help with joint pain a) by in the case of exercise like aerobics and swimming building muscle and b) doing so whilst relieving pressure on the joints because the water is holding you up

hot baths will relieve pressure on the joints (unlike standing or even sitting to take a shower) and the heat will relax the muscles whilst the water supports you

#swimming CORRECTLY while hypermobile is a different matter because your bones will still want to go the wrong way #but certainly at equivalent levels exercise whilst floating in a body of water > exercise under the constraints of gravity #any heat therapy will help with muscular ache (note: acute injury requires ice to reduce inflammation and swelling)#like the application of a hot compress or a massage with heated oil #but nothing beats a hot bath. nothing on this earth #there may be a sensation greater than stretching out tight and tired calf muscles in hot water #but as god is my witness i havent found it yet if it does

Yeah, asks typically stay off because I've been on this hell site for ten years (made my first account back in 2013) and I've been subjected to some SHIT!!

Anyway, the name of the game when it comes to Jason Todd is gaslight gatekeep girlboss, because there is no way in hell some of these bitches rly think he's as bad as they say he is. Especially when you compare his shenanigans to the shenanigans of characters like Bruce or even Tim.

Yes, he kills people. Yes, he can be pretty uncaring about the collateral of his plqns.

But guess what?!

SO IS EVERYONE ELSE!!

The only difference is that we, as Jason Todd enjoyers, know what we're here for.

As for the Helena stans and their beef with Jason, idk what to tell ya, mate. Well, other than it's madness, of course!!

There's definitely a convo to be had about male characters getting more space to be complex than female characters, but that's not what's going here. What's going on here is a treasure trove of fandom feminists have decided that Jason has far too many ~feminine~ traits and that he doesn't deserve to have the support he has within the fandom. Why they’ve come to this conclusion is so inane and idiotic, I refuse to dignify it with a response, but it’s that type of shit why I rly want us to go back to the days of decentralized fandom spaces. Spaces where mods actually had the power to cull and reject nonsense, before it started to spread like a virus. It wasn’t perfect (it bred an air of smug exclusivity that stank of unwashed ass), but it’s better than having to deal with assholes spreading liberal nonsense like”Jason Todd is a cop cause he kills and uses guns”.

As if cops are only dangerous because of the extra judicial killings and the apparatus most associated with them 😒😒😒

Anyway, I would bet money that most of those so called Helena stans don't even care about her like that as a character; they just hate Jason.

Which kinda sucks, cause I find Hintress - like all the Gotham vigilantes - to be fascinating characters. But my want to actually pursue any new info on her has been dead on arrival, because her stans are fucking assholes.

Bottom line, Jason’s story resonates with a lot of people. If you don’t get it or can’t bring yourself to understand, then like… Don’t. You don’t have to. The world would be so much better off if people learned that sometimes… the media you consume is just as personal as it what it says about you publicly.
