After a couple months of not having something to show, I can now confidently say that he does!! His uncle also got designed ! :DDD

I'm also gonna use this ask as a way of announcing that I've finally changed Gabby's name ! So if you see me or anyone else refer to him as Raphael / Raph, know that that's the name he goes by now!

(Here's his design chapter by chapter, don't mind the hair I forgor to make it longer from the get-go in Chapter 1 :')))

(Edit : just realized I also forgot to change uncle Mike's age on this ref oops. The guy's actually 51 - and Raph 25 still - in 2005 !)

I haven’t slept in two days as this has been plaguing me but I FIGURED IT OUT

I gave in and FIGURED UT OUT (it’s 11am where I am and I’ve been hella busy lately, forgive misspellings)

So there’s lots of human TMNT, specifically ROTTMNT fanart out there, I love it

BUT

I wanted to know what their real skin tones would be

SO, I PRESENT THE CHART

I went through and grey (gray idc) scaled it and matched it up (video of process at end)

the 1, 2, 3, 4 thing is if there was a match that was close but not perfect, so they’re ranked by match with multiple in each category because there are different shades, warmer and colder (I blended all the 1st places at the end)

Then here’s this

For draxum, the blended version didn’t fully match like the turtles blended 1’s did so I figured out that one of his options was actually a number one choice for answers

It’s Raphael’s turn for introduction!

Raphael is the second oldest (by 15 minutes) and co-leader with his twin Donatello. He was mutated into a Galapagos Tortoise at the age of 12 after being kidnapped by the EPF.

Raph is gruff, a hot head, and highly sarcastic but has the biggest soft spot for his family, to the point that he struggles to stick to the punishments he and Donnie give to the younger two. He thinks of himself as a shield or battering ram, always there to protect and defend his family.

He’s a very physical person. It’s how he shows affection, relieves stress, and works through his thoughts. He was on the same junior hockey team as his best friend, Casey Jones, and worked hard as a student in his father’s dojo as a child. Even now the dojo in their subway home is where you can most often find him, with Leo possibly near by watching. If he’s nowhere to be found in the lair then he’s likely up top letting off some steam by beating up criminals and bringing vigilante justice to the streets and as long as he’s home by 3 am with nothing broken he won’t get into too much trouble with his twin.

Raph is also the main cook in the family (tho Mikey sometimes likes to help out) and quite the spice king. He also enjoys fiber crafts and makes a lot of his family’s clothes by patching together what they can grab from donation bins or crocheting/knitting them himself.

Raph also goes by El (Donnie exclusively), Raphie (mainly by Donnie, Casey, and Mikey to annoy him), and Ralph (Casey)

Turtle studies! I'm still getting used to drawing them, so I'm studying their shapes. And some expressions. As a treat.

Here's Raph too! Leo's definetly the hardest to draw for me, but Raph is a close second. Although I think I'm starting to get his features right. A trick I'm using is drawing two squares to define his head-beak shape, I think it works!

No Donnie for now, we'll get him next time. Maybe alongside April, who knows!

One of my favourite parts about fandoms is making ocs

Personally, it just helps me get so much more in love with the fandom!

This is one of my OC for ROTTMNT. She is such a ray of sunshine and fits adorably with Raph's gental giant behaviour!

Her outfit is actually inspired off of many things! The headband is actually a bandana which is taken from Casey Jones 2012. The yellow sweatshirt is meant to represent her bright personality and I personally relate her to sunflowers and daisies. I did debate a bit if I would make the sweatshirt yellow simply because of April's yellow dress, but I went with it anyways. And the bellbottoms are from an outfit of mine that I love to wear!
