Secret Relationship

"Ooohh you wanna kiss me sooo bad.” Jude smiles, leaning into your space as you back hits the wall. He stares at you, gaze trailing shamelessly down to your lips where he lingers there for a moment. He inches closer, so much so that you can smell the body wash on him. Minty fresh. Dear god.

You look around the hallway that you’re both in, eyes wide,“Yeah but not here.” You hiss, pushing him aside and walking away briskly.

He pouts, chasing after you. Pet names and pleas on his lips.

Ever since he landed in Madrid his sights have been on you. You were so kind and welcoming. So sweet. But timid. He thought you were afraid of him at first, if not wary.

Quick to duck out of the way when your paths crossed and never once starting a conversation. Turns out you just had a crush and didn’t know how to deal with it. And the rest is history.

After much pleading, begging, promising, and much compromising, he has you more or less.

Sure you can’t kiss him in public, hell you can’t even go out together, but he's yours and you're just as much his.

The media would tear him apart for having a regular girlfriend imagine if they found out he was with a staff member. You wouldn’t hear the end of it.

Besides, he likes to keep you all to himself. Just for his eyes.

And you want to keep out of the public eye at all costs so it works out.

It’s nearly empty around the training facilities today, it's why you popped in where you know he lingers around to say hi. He has other plans, obviously.

Unable to keep his hands to himself and begging for kisses. There’s cameras all over the place, you would know. You monitor half of them yourself.

You turn a corner to a dimly lit corridor lined with contraction supplies at each bend and twist. It leads to a storage closet, and you know the cameras don’t reach back here.

Jude follows, squinting as he has to duck under a few wooden boards and shooing away spider webs. Plums of dust curl around him but he follows. Even if he's in nothing but a white wife beater, shorts and slides. He’d follow you to the ends of the earth if you wanted. Just lead him.

You lean against a tall cardboard box, you think it's filled with steel beams but what do you know.

He reaches you soon enough, opening a hand out and you gladly take it.

”Where in the world did you take me?” He looks around.

”Super secret hideout.” You nod.

”Do I get a kiss now?” He tries, eyes wide.

You pull him closer to you, “mhm.”

He leans down, gently bringing his hands to cup your face, setting a soft kiss to your lips. And another, and another and another till you’re a giggling mess.

“Want to come over for dinner later? Mom wants to make you your favorite.” He mumbles against your lips, thumbs caressing your cheeks.

You eyes shine, “really? That’s so sweet of course I’ll come.”

peck, “perfect,” peck. Peck. Peck.

You say your goodbyes, and he pouts the whole way. But you kiss promises into his skin and he perks up. Excited to have you for dinner.

What a man. You can’t wait to see Denise. She’s so sweet to you. Jude is a bonus you suppose (you love him so so much).

I have this mod where I have date nights with the person I'm married to(Harvey) and he either takes the farmer out to go shopping with him just because spending time at Pierre's and you can have a kot of choices to get whatever you wanna get and you can pay for the stuff when Harvey says he'll be paying but you can still pay for it and it gets Harvey all blushful when you insist on doing so and then when you're done he whispers into the farmers ear abt having some fun time at home like woah!!

OR going to the saloon for a date and there's just the farmer and Harvey in the room he rented out and they can either play pool, or go outside and walk to the beach to stargaze, the farmer play pool and he tries to win and then yada yada they head home and he brings up Spivey time WHICH DAMN

For the stargazing one he is rather a sad man, not shy, he says he wasn't happy with his life and he wished to yoba something could change his life, and he made that wish the day before the farmer showed up and then he says he got what he wished for and then the two of you kiss and head back home, and yes he does bring up if you get there fast the two of you can have fun together back at the cabin and then the farmer instantly runs back.

Mathias waited until he was sure he was alone before pulling out his phone and placing a call. It was short, much to the other's dismay, but got to the point. Location. Situation. Request. That's all he gave Jude, with the added mention of needing medical aid but he didn't want to go to a hospital.

He was tired, so very tired. Violence and pain had once been beautiful partners in life, giving Mathias comfort when no one else would. It wasn't the same now as he laid on the dirty ground surrounded by drops of his own blood. Now they were painful, abusive even. He let his eyes close as he waited, unsure if or when Jude would show up. Of course, Mathias wouldn't blame him if he didn't show up. Maybe if he got some rest he'd be able to get up in a few hours or so. He drifted off after a while, curled up on the ground as people passed him by. Waiting and waiting.

Why does Lucien's daughter hate Jude? When they meet, I think it is at the hospital, she says something like "Look who it is, Daddy's pet" and Jude is embarrassed. The other daughter tells her off and is friendly toward Jude. Did Lucien over praise Jude? Brag of him during family dinners because Lucien was Jude’s workplace law mentor/boss ? Jude is, of course, disabled and did this make Lucien over protective? Lucien's narky daughter has attended rehab and isn't a lawyer like her sister, so perhaps she sees Jude as some kind of family interloper, a cuckoo, the 'son' her dad wanted (and Harold feels a ping of jealousy when Lucien visits Jude in Greene Street after Caleb's attack). Using the word 'pet' too in a negative way feels like she is mocking Jude and giving him a low status. Just thinking of this brief scene.

I was very confused by this passage as well, especially since it just felt like it came out of nowhere. But I think you’ve answered your own question already haha there are certainly two scenarios for why Portia hated Jude in this scene

We all know Lucien and Jude had a very close relationship that went beyond just a simple boss-employee or mentor-employee bond.

Lucien was always the one to tell Jude how proud he was or how significant his case winnings were. He was the one who recognized Jude’s extraordinary abilities and recruited him to Rosen Pritchard. He was always telling Jude to take care of himself, to go eat or sleep after a long day of work. Lucien came to visit Jude after Caleb nearly killed him, and Lucien often visited him in the hospital after his suicide attempt. He called multiple times just to talk to him, just to chat. He cared for Jude’s health a lot, but he never treated Jude like a child or as someone to be babied. He recognized Jude’s want to prove himself capable and to be treated as an adult and respected that as much as he could.

But even as much as he respected Jude’s independence, he still took on a very parental role towards him. Before Jude begins dating Caleb, he’s one of the people who pester him about being single. He even says to Jude “I just think that I’d like to see you settled down with someone.” which is very similar to Harold’s own words of “We’d like to see you with someone.” Now that’s sort of abnormal for a boss to care about, isn’t it? But Lucien and Jude were close, and Lucien saw Jude as a responsibility of his, possibly even saw him as a son. Lucien’s admiration and care for Jude was so obvious that Harold even noticed and felt a little jealous that someone else had taken on such a parental role towards Jude.

So yes, one possible reason for her attitude towards him is Portia is jealous of Jude, or jealous of her father’s relationship with Jude/how much her father admired him. She could even see Jude as being an intruder of sorts, poking in on what is meant to be a family affair when he isn’t family.

But I also think that perhaps Portia was just feeling upset that day. After all, her father is in the hospital after suffering a debilitating stroke. Not to mention her own life doesn’t seem to be going well, seeing as she’s constantly going in and out of rehab. Jude mentions that he’s met Lucien’s daughters before, and even the younger one obviously recognized him enough to call him by name and express her condolences for Willem. He is surprised when Portia looks at him with hatred, which could possibly indicate that she’s never held animosity towards him before, at least not outwardly. She might’ve just been snappy that day and found a target to take her anger out on. Maybe her words were what she actually feels towards Jude, maybe she just wanted to be snarky. We just don’t know enough about her character to make a certain conclusion.

This ask reminds me of how I was thinking just the other day about how much I love the background characters of A Little Life, the ones who show up for just a split second or so. Shout out to Felix i love u and your punk rock band ! Shout out to Judge Sullivan for being a fat fuck !

Ahahaha thank you, this is awesome! I've been excited to answer this all day. I'm assuming you're referring to this list, which is the drivers' song choices for the Bristol Motor Speedway Night Race. This happens every year at Bristol specifically and has been happening since 2009! Not relevant to the question, just a fun fact I wanted to share!

I mean the obvious choice would be Hey Jude by the Beatles. But I haven't decided whether or not they'd be canon within the Judeverse yet.

Other unserious picks would be Rhinestone Cowboy by Glen Campbell, as I consider that to be "her song." Corona by Minutemen, Free Bird by Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Good Ol' Boys by Waylon Jennings also come to mind. (Theme song for "Jackass" the tv show, obvious, theme song for "Dukes of Hazzard" the tv show. Do you see the theme haha)

Two things that are true about Jude Wilson is that she loves all her genres of country music and she loves Oklahoma. So the songs that I actually think she might pick are Tulsa Time by Don Williams—🎵 livin' on tulsa tiiimee, livin' on tulsa tiimee. well you know i've been through when i set my watch back to it, livin on tulsa timee 🎵—or East Bound and Down by Jerry Reed—🎵 east bound and dooown, loaded up and truckin' a-we gon do what they say caint be done. we've got a long way to go and a short time to get there, east bound and down watch ol' bandit run 🎵. Jude but he can not for the life of him get out of bed. His alarms have all gone off and he's still glued to your side, hogging the blankets and smashing his face against you. 

He's very comfy thank you very much. 

He doesn't have anything he has  to be at. Just a meeting, which in hindsight he definitely should already be up for but he just can't bring himself to. Not when you sleep so soundly next to him. He loves you. So so much. 

Jude knows he should probably move, should probably start his day, but the warmth of your body next to his, the gentle rhythm of your breathing, it's all too perfect to disturb. He buries his face into the crook of your neck, you smell like his body wash. 

It brings a smile to his face. You always make him get your back in the shower and he's started to use his own body wash on you too.

You laughed, “Now I smell like you.”

Boy do you.

In this moment, nothing else matters. Not the meeting, not the pressing tasks awaiting him. He doesn't feel like Jude Bellingham, he just feels like, well, yours. 

Another alarm goes off and he groans, tossing the covers off and heading over to the little bedside table at the other side of your shared bed. Aggressively slamming his fingers down on his screen so hard he thinks it might break for a second. But it doesn't. 

You begin to stir, grumbling and feeling for the covers with your eyes still closed. 

He coos, bringing the covers back and wrapping you in them tightly. “Good morning m’love.” He gives you a kiss on your forehead, resting his arm next to you. 

“Moring,” you rasp out, head drooping to his arm. 

“I gotta get going in a sec baby.”

It was bound to happen, Mathias would end up saying it over and over again in the future. It was bound to happen. Despite what either men tried, there was no denying Mathias' true nature. No one was safe, not even the man he had a strong affection for. Perhaps one day he'd apologize for it if the grasp on his sanity was loosened. The mask he wore, the gift he had been given, gave him what he wanted. Mathias wanted to be no one. He wanted to move with the smoke and shadows of the city, blending into crowds. His intentions weren't cruel, he just needed to get it out of his system.

He got into Jude's home easily, waiting for the Priest. The stark white owl mask stood out in the darkness, and the knife in his hand warmed from his heat. When he saw Jude, Mathias smiled and removed the mask so the other man would know it was him. "Hello Priest".

Self diagnosis is Valid for lack of better words and its def true that people put wayyyyy too much stock in the DSM like the shit that's in there is no where near Objective Truth.

But that doesn't mean we shouldn't care at all about mental health language being misused cause it can have serious consequences... for instance: ppl conflating impulses and intrusive thoughts... its not just irriating, shit like that can be rly harmful. It can propagate legit dangerous ideas that ppl w/ ocd want to act out their intrusive thoughts, that they're in anyway desired. Language w/ ocd rly matters.

Ofc that doesn't mean u should put some rando teen on here on blast for misusing "intrusive thought". But all these things CAN be true at the same time.
