So they decide to put a subcutaneous tracker on "Danny" as a perfectly reasonable means of investigation *cough cough*

That same evening, they follow the tracker's signal to find a new corpse.

In the morning, the new student, Danny, acts normally as if nothing happened.

Even tho Gordon doesn't really know Gman, just due to being Tommy's dad he gets his own flower :) . Although none of Gmans flowers will sprout on Gordon himself, they are scattered around a few small spots of Black Mesa (any time Gman freezes time leaves these flowers)

Tommy was the second to last to remember the resets, and unlike the other times Gordon was killed by his friends, this one was accidental. During the fight with Gordon later, he's a bit easier on Tommy then the others.

#i contacted my gen doc and she was able to get me something for the pain under the table #i also have my first ketamine trial tomorrow so hopefully that helps with my chronic pain #apparently it can help sorta reset nerve receptors that have been exacerbated by opioids #and seeing as how ive been on this shit for 14 years im hoping it does help #the doctor whos gonna do it it very hopeful because she has a patient who has a very similar story to mine who has seen progress #so we shall see!

#actually not done with hadestown because also in the original version you hear Hermes blowing air after coming back with his ‘a’ight’ after #Orpheus looks and I’ve not seen it but I always imagine him blowing Eurydice back tot he underworld because he has to this is the way the #story goes and even though he doesn’t want it to end this way it has to and he has to fucking make it end this way #and I genuinely cannot remember if this makes it to the broadway version but then we have Hermes’ breath clearing the scene to be reset #to go back to the beginning and he’s taking about signing the song again even though he knows how it ends and ugh and yeah yeah it’s the #human experience to keep going despite failures and to hope that it works out this time and hope is a difficult habit to break whatever #but even the gods aren’t free of the fucking tragedy and then and THEN he has to be the one to tell Eurydice that she can trust Orpheus that #he’s not like other men and then he isssss he isssssssss he leaves her alone in the wind (because of course he does he has a SONG to write #and that’s more important than the woman you allegedly love…I have neutral opinions about that…clearly) and so Eurydice goes to hadestown #and another difference with the original is that she sees he’s full of shit in the first chant not in hey little songbird she’s already done #and then hades is like ‘hey - heard your man ain’t shit’ and sure he deceives her but he’s hades and if bitch ass Orpheus gets a pass so #should he so Hermes promises Eurydice that Orpheus is different. that she’ll be safe. that he’ll make her feel alive and thennnnn it’s not #funny but it’s hilarious so imagine having to do that again and again and again and my head canon is that Hermes knows. he knows that theyve #done this before but hope is an impossible habit to break and so he genuinely hopes that this time it’ll work this time Orpheus will stand #in the wind with Eurydice or listen to Hermes or not look back but of course he won’t. he’s Orpheus. he’s got a song to give to the world #and Eurydice is just his muse (and I LOVE the line ‘you’ll find another muse somewhere’…I might hate Orpheus like the oroginal peformer idk #his name unfortunately and Reeve are amazing it’s the character) so it doesn’t matter that she dies over and over and in some ways Hermes #might be restarting everything so his boy doesn’t have to be heartbroken because that’s his adoptive son basically and while he’s a fucking #idiot he’s loved so of course Hermes restarts everything not only because he has to but because he doesn’t want Orpheus to suffer and who #cares if Eurydice suffers for it as long as the song gets finished

It's pretty fun for me to play Zelda games in a manner mostly isolated from fandom opinions. Like don't get me wrong I've absorbed a lot of LOZ spoilers, headcanons, interpretations etc. via osmosis, I am not playing these games blind. But regardless of how many spoilers and fanart/fanfic I've seen going through the AO3 tag after playing BOTW was still an Experience because it made me realize that the way I interpret both Link as a character and the game as a whole is apparently completely counter to the majority fandom opinion. Something I was blissfully oblivious to while playing the game.

#Once again I want to become a more genuine person who approaches media analysis on a basis of joy in its own right #And not lead every one of my posts with 'so I've seen ppl do this and here's why I think they're wrong'#I am failing bc I'm full of spite but worse than that I also genuinely enjoy being a hater #But I'm not even mad this time. I dont even think ppl are necessarily wrong to interpret #Post-calamity link as their traumatized little meow meow #I think it's less interesting than my interpretation bc I think it loses the contrast between pre- and post-calamity link #But its not WRONG. Link doesnt exactly get a whole lot of characterization even in botw #He's still mostly a blank slate so ppl get to do what they want with him. The game doest contradict it #I'm just. So confused ppl looked at botw and went 'link's trauma would be worse post-calamity or at least carry over in its full force'#Like u don't think the hard reset that was the shrine of resurrection and experiencing the wonders as a free spirit like #Had. Y'know. An effect?#I honestly just don't think post-calamity Link is all that traumatized anymore. Got so excited about what was in vault 47 I forgot I was listening to a radio play about fallout 4
