Juxtaposed Revisions Snippet
Jane is thrilled to find out that Nuclear Fusion not only has ‘turian-approved’ flavors and combinations for their pizzas but also a dextro version of cheesy breadsticks.
At least, that’s what they seem to be and after some thought—and staring intensely at the menu’s pictures—Jane thinks the breadsticks might be what the turian family was recommending so adamantly. They fit the description and even though she has no idea what ‘caseus’ is, she’s sure she has the right food that’ll pair well with Garrus’ pizza.
If that family found it not only enjoyable but delicious, then maybe Garrus will too.
Jane smiles at the thought of showing her friend food that’ll no doubt look very strange—dare she say, alien—to him and of how he’ll react when he realizes it’s edible and safe.
Not only that, but it might actually taste good.
Setting up the order to be delivered to his apartment later tonight, she adds her own pizza choices. She knows he’s not much of a sweets kind of turian but Jane still adds a dualchiralty dessert that Garrus can try if he changes his mind.
With the order and delivery scheduled, she leaves the Nuclear Fusion with excitement flooding her veins. Dinner is taken care of and all that’s left is to pick a movie or other entertainment and some snacks.
She heads to a grocery shop and purchases Manix for herself and S’rica for him. Both are higher-grade beers and although she doesn’t know his specific tastes, she knows he drinks S’rica well enough to be confident he’d enjoy it. As for her, Mantix is a beer with a strong hint of berries so she doesn’t have too much of a bitter taste like most other companies

࿐໋ Revision.
──
The past isn't as fixed as we've been led to believe. Actually, it is not fixed at all. It exists only as a memory. A story you continuously tell yourself. But if it is just a story, doesn’t that mean you have the power to rewrite it?
Neville Goddard taught us that revision is the key to reshaping your reality. The concept is simple. Revisit a past event in your mind and change it. Reimagine it unfolding exactly as you wish it had. Immerse yourself in the experience, feel it as real, and accept it as truth.
This isn't "pretending" or wishful thinking. You are literally rewriting your timeline. The past is not an unchangeable record. It is a construct of consciousness, and consciousness is the foundation of reality.
When you change your inner world, your outer world inevitably follows. Rewrite the memory, and you will reshape not only your past but also your present and future.
──
Remember that you are never obligated to align with the past. Kisses, Angie. - 𝜗𝜚

The Revision Method: Rewriting the Past to Create a New Reality
What is the Revision Method?
Imagine if your past wasn’t set in stone. What if you could go back, edit the narrative, and shift your present reality? The Revision Method, taught by Neville Goddard, allows you to do exactly that. It isn’t about ignoring the past but reprogramming your subconscious mind to perceive a different version of events. By doing this, you dissolve limiting beliefs, heal old wounds, and create a reality that aligns with your desires.
How Does It Work?
The process is simple yet incredibly powerful. Before sleeping, relax your mind and bring up the memory you want to revise. Instead of replaying it as it happened, change it—see it unfolding the way you wish it had happened. Feel the emotions of this new version. If someone hurt you, imagine them being kind instead. If you failed at something, see yourself succeeding effortlessly. Your mind does not know the difference between memory and imagination—so when you do this consistently, reality conforms to match the new past you have rewritten.
Can This Really Change the Past?
At first, it sounds impossible. But everything in your world is a reflection of your internal state. When you shift your perception of past events, you no longer carry the same energetic resistance. This change alters the way people respond to you, the way circumstances unfold, and even how memories appear in your mind. You might wake up and suddenly realize that people involved in your past act differently, as if the past never happened the way you first experienced it. Time isn’t linear—it’s malleable, and you hold the power to reshape it.
Why Revision is Life-Changing
Most people feel trapped by their past, believing that trauma, mistakes, and failures define them. But with the Revision Method, you take control. You are no longer a victim of circumstances—you become the creator of your life story. Negative experiences lose their grip on you, and you start living in a state of complete freedom, where only the best versions of events exist in your consciousness. This doesn’t just heal your mind; it transforms your entire reality.
The Past is Fluid, Not Fixed
The past is not something that happened to you—it is something you can change. Your mind is the architect of your experiences, and when you rewrite the script, reality follows. No more regrets, no more “what-ifs.” Only limitless possibilities waiting to unfold. Tonight, close your eyes, revisit a painful memory, and rewrite it. Watch how your world bends in response.

I loved the update just because it exists. I loved the bit with the mounts (especially Arthur's trying to ground MC) but my tiny bit of concrit is the "I know you're a mage" convo feels...shoehorned? Like we get the panic attack and Arthur just says he doesn't think the same way as Uther and it's just...It feels (imo) that the Hound once more just accepts Arthur at face value again? I loved the rewrite making the Hound more wary of Arthur, and this kinda felt like a slip? Idk it just feels like there could be...more there. Or perhaps Arthur will try to revisit the topic? Cause like idk about you but if I was just told "I don't want to do anything to you buuuuuut people in my court might," I'd feel threatened and like...I wouldn't believe a single word prior to the "my court might" part. Cause like the Hound is a political prisoner, the nobles (Our sister in law is amazing) made that clear, so it's just another chain Arthur is adding, a little "Be careful love, you don't know what SOMEONE might do if they found out you're a mage :) :)", you know?
And as someone who played as a Hound who is absolutely dreading this marriage (they literally feel like a prisoner) that whole thing kinda felt as if that wasn't an option? Like for example, the walking into the church thingy you have: I feel better, I'm not alone, and the "I am strong and proud" options, but no real option for...just numb? I personally just headcanoned the Hound was disassociated to the point they won't remember the day at all. (I kinda hope we might just get to breakdown with our brothers, or idk alone in the dark)
Also I forget, but is this a game where we have to rack up romance points to lock in? Or one we choose the route? Because I honestly didn't feel that my Hound would want to talk to anyone during what is (to them) a celebration of their collaring/house's defeat.
BUUUUT I truly do hope you take this as constructive. You won't please all of us, and you shouldn't try to. I love that you gave us even this and you are incredibly strong and lovely for pushing through everything. If I am out of line, feel free to ignore or tell me off and I'll just smash my Hound into a better mold for the story lol. After all, it is your story, tell it how you want.
I would really like to give you a long response to your very helpful feedback, but I fear I am lacking the energy to do so. I just want you to know that I hear you, and in truth you make really good points.
1) yeah I do admit I was getting close to burnout with writing in this update, and that scene in particular might have suffered for it. I'll revise it, and hopefully try to not make the interaction feel so jarring. (Note: did you try to pick the more... aggressive option? It goes in a different way, maybe it is less weird?)
2) you are totally right on the options for the marriage - especially because you can play a very numb MC. I'll either edit or add that option. Ohh and the breakdown with the siblings is peak idea. I'm writing that down.
3) as for the romance points: this game is focused strongly on MC. You can choose the pace of the relationship your Hound develops, and for romance, you need to first have some platonic points with said RO. Platonic means in this case that MC wants to spend time with them, and doesn't have to go further than what will become a lifelong friendship.
You do have to pick at least an option to have platonic points with a RO, but you won't get locked out of anything in this game. Every choice shapes your personal Hound's story, this is not a game that punishes you, or that is focused solely on romance.
Thank you for sending this in! This kind of feedback, especially if worded clearly and kindly lik you did, can be so helpful and I love getting it even if it makes me pause and rethink some things.

Coming soon...
Phew, okay, hi folks. For those of you who have been here for a while, I'm sure you remember, maybe even read, a series of mine by the name of Apothecary. To cut a long story short (and it was a very long story) I never properly finished that series, and it has bothered me more than I'd like to admit.
Welp, I think it's finally time for me to revisit those characters, and I'm announcing that I will be rewriting Apothecary and giving it the attention and intention it deserves.
Gin, what does this mean? Will this rewrite follow the same plot? Will you take down the original fic? Great questions, fictitious reader. First of all, I will not be taking down the original fic - it's its own thing and I know a lot of people enjoyed it and return to it. Apothecary 1.0 will remain untouched on the master list. Apothecary 2.0 will be a story that is entirely new, with some familiar faces (hi, Stevie, love you) and scenes reworked and revised. I've changed a lot as a writer since I worked on that series, and I want to see what I can do with the premise now that I'm a littler older and (maybe) a little wiser.
I'm excited to work on this project (and also for better or worse, no i did not forget about those two) and hope you'll come along with me for the ride.
Yeehaw,
Gin

REVISION TECHNIQUE!!

exploring a lesser-known esoteric technique today - revision. this practice involves the conscious reevaluation of past events, feelings, or outcomes to imprint new beliefs and perspectives on the subconscious mind. by revisiting and reshaping our inner narrative, we can shift our current reality towards a desired outcome. the process typically involves visualization, affirmations, and a deep focus on altering one's perception of the past. revision can be a powerful tool for personal growth, manifestation, and healing, helping individuals break free from limiting beliefs and emotional blockages. embarking on the journey of mastering the technique of revision can be a transformative and empowering experience. here are some steps to guide you in honing this skill and utilizing it effectively:
awareness: start by becoming aware of your thought patterns, beliefs, and emotional responses to past events. recognize areas in your life where revision can bring about positive change.
intention setting: clearly define your intentions for revising a particular event or belief. what do you wish to achieve through this process? setting a clear intention focuses your energy and guides the revision.
visualization: immerse yourself in the experience you wish to revise. visualize the event as you would have preferred it to unfold. engage all your senses to make the visualization vivid and real.
affirmations: use positive affirmations related to the revised version of events. affirm your new beliefs and perspectives to reinforce the changes on a subconscious level.
consistency and patience: consistent practice is key to mastering revision. understand that changes may take time to manifest in your reality. patience and persistence are essential virtues on this journey.
release and let go: after revising an event, release any lingering negative emotions or attachments associated with it. trust the process and detach from the outcome.
reflect and adjust: regularly reflect on the impact of your revisions. adjust your approach as needed and stay open to new insights and transformations.
by embracing the technique of revision with dedication and an open heart, you can rewrite your story, reclaim your power, and manifest a reality aligned with your true desires. are you ready to embark on this empowering journey of self-transformation?

ALLI!!! CONGRATULATIONS ON FINISHING IYASIF 🥳!!!!!
I have absolutely LOVED reading this series and I am so happy that you've shared it with us! It's definitely a series that I'll be revisiting forever and it's certainly a favourite of mine 💙!
My favourite parts (so far) include the firework scene (I love the effort that Wolffe was putting in to try to show Kazi how much she means to him then how she sees him in a vulnerable state), Wolffe sitting watching Kazi swim after Aro had assaulted her (I am a forever lover of how protective Wolffe is of Kazi 🤌 and I could GO ON FOREVER about it!), Neyti talking for the first time despite how sad her reason is (also where she calls Kazi her mum in her muse!!!!), and lastly, I was seriously cheering Kazi on for her first time having sex with Wolffe (I was sitting so proud that she let him get that close to her you have NO idea, I was like a proud mama hen 🥰)
While I've fallen behind, I can't wait to find more favourite parts in the coming chapters and I'm going to really miss reading IYASIF for the first time 💙!
I also need you to know that I love how you characterise all of the characters, I love their motivations and personalities !! (Fox was a favourite who snuck up on me 🥰)
Last but not least, I have some questions!
What have you enjoyed the most about writing IYASIF?
From my own writing I have redrafted plot points and outcomes so many times so, did IYASIF look different when you were first writing it?
That last question in your list is calling to me! How much of yourself and your life experiences have made it into IYASIF?
Out of all the characters, who is your favourite, to write or to read (if that gives a different answer)?
💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙
I Yearn, and so I Fear Fic Celebration
Maia! Thank you!
You've included some of my favorite scenes (and I'm SO HAPPY you've liked them, too!)! If you like the fireworks scene, you might enjoy an upcoming scene, even if it is super short :) I, too, am a lover of protective Wolffe and him sitting there, watching Kazi, tired from lack of sleep, needing to check on her because, even though they're still becoming friends, he cares about her - something about that scene sits right with me. I'm surprised you mentioned Neyti speaking for the first time! It's an emotional moment, for me haha, and such a pivotal moment, so I'm glad you like it! And Kazi and Wolffe's first time! That was such a meaningful scene to me! All of the trust building from so many months (and so many chapters) and Wolffe's consistent patience and Kazi taking another step forward in trusting him - it all meant so much to me. Thank you for sharing your favorite scenes, I really appreciate it! (And I'm ecstatic knowing you liked the characterizations! Fox snuck up on me, too. And he did the same with Kazi haha.)
What have you enjoyed the most about writing IYASIF?
Seeing each chapter take on its final version. I am so critical of my work, and I think I've mentioned before how I won't reread things I've written because I can't stomach my old writing. But the final version of each chapter in this fic has surprised me. I find myself rereading sections when people reblog and I smile, or I chuckle, or I feel giddy. It's such a unique experience for me; I've never felt this way about a fic I've written. I wanted to give up on various occasions but I'm glad I didn't, because seeing this in its final form has been a comfort. So, I think that's what I've enjoyed the most, seeing this in final form and being proud of my writing.
From my own writing I have redrafted plot points and outcomes so many times so, did IYASIF look different when you were first writing it?
Yes! I wrote an entire outline with specific scenes for 32 chapters last May and June, and then I wrote my first draft immediately after. And then I wrote another draft. And then I started working on individual chapters and tinkering/editing/revising/rewriting them in December and throughout the posting schedule (I consider that my third draft, however, most chapters in Parts III and IV had five different drafts because I kept editing/rewriting them).
Most of the overall story remained the same: Kazi and Wolffe's relationship/individual arcs, Kazi and Daria's relationship/individual arcs; Kazi and Neyti's relationship/individual arcs; Fox's story arc.
A few things that significantly changed:
Originally, Aro was supposed to be a rebel leader. He was a questionable leader, set on destroying the Empire but willing to hurt anyone during the process, and he had an obsession with Kazi. To the point that he blackmailed her into a "relationship" with him. I scratched this entire plotline because it was too much for me. I've explored the dark writing in A New Tomorrow (which I believe you've read, so you probably know what I'm talking about) and I could not stomach writing something dark like that again. So, I removed that plotline during my outlining process in May and decided to make Aro a megalomaniac Empire sympathizer.
Along those lines, Moff Harpy was supposed to play a minor role in the story. During the first draft, I wrote in a few scenes where Kazi interacts with Moff Harpy. (It's Harpy who created a clone assassin lab and was also obsessed with tracking down traitorous clones.) However, it felt like too much. I didn't want this story to focus on the clone assassins/the Empire as much. I wanted to emphasize how normal, ordinary people are trying to survive under Imperial rule (I took inspiration from The Kite Runner) and bringing in Moff Harpy made the story too focused on trying to defeat the Empire rather than exploring what it would be like to live under a fascist government. I love stories that get into the nitty gritty about taking down the Empire, but I wanted to do something different here.
I don't want to spoil things but Daria and Cody's relationship was not in the first draft. (I get into this in a Behind the Scenes XIV, but I'll explain it here, too.) In my outline, I intended Daria and Cody to explore a relationship together. I thought their personalities matched well, and that they would be good for one another. However, I thought that readers would find it cringey that two commanders chose the two sisters. So, in my first draft, I wrote Daria having a relationship with Nova. It was AWFUL. I was forcing Nova to be someone he wasn't, and the chemistry between him and Daria was lacking. In the second draft, I said "fuck it" and rewrote Cody into the relationship with Daria. And I'm so glad I reverted to my original idea because they were such a delight to explore. (I also have delusional thoughts about writing their own fic as a companion piece to this haha.)
Those were the major changes to the story. But Parts III and IV had significant changes in each chapter between drafts 2 and 3. I'm glad that I wrote the first two drafts because it helped me decide what to include, what to remove, and what needed to be added. I felt like each draft allowed me to dive deeper into the story, the characters, the themes. And if it hadn't been for draft 1, then I never would've written the Muses! And if it hadn't been for draft 2, then I would've never dug deeper into Fox and Nova's characters! Both of whom surprised the hell out of me! Cody was a given - I actually spent so much time writing a character document for him (because I'm that person) - and didn't change much between the drafts, but Fox and Nova did! Anyway, I believe Chapters XVII through the Epilogue are all fairly different from their first versions. There are some consistencies (such as Chapter XXII being about sex, Chapter XIV being about Kazi's breakdown, Chapter XXV being about the winter holiday) but most of the scenes were drastically rewritten! And the last two chapters weren't even written because I kept telling myself I wouldn't do them justice until I was 100% sure of all the chapters leading up to them (which ended up being true).
Oh, I also had a few more smut scenes in draft 2 but I wanted to focus more on the emotional side of things rather than the physical (and I get afraid that I can't write smut well) so I removed quite a few smut scenes. I was afraid that readers might give up on the story without the additional smut, but I'm glad I made that decision.
That last question in your list is calling to me! How much of yourself and your life experiences have made it into IYASIF?
Oof, you're calling me out 😅
Honestly, I view IYasIF as a therapy project. Kazi is a direct reflection of me, my insecurities, my struggles with romantic relationships, my fears of abandonment and not being enough. Her storyline about sex and her discomfort and insecurity with it draws from my own experiences. Maybe this is embarrassing, I don't know, but writing her story was a way for me to acknowledge my insecurities, fears, and fearful-avoidant attachment style; it was a way for me to see a female character like myself [someone who isn't curvy or outgoing; someone who is aloof, and cold, and heartless (and yes, I've been called heartless by friends, in a joking way but it still stuck)] be loved, to actually be attractive to a male character. So Kazi is a reflection of myself.
As to life experiences: Kazi's resentment against her mother draws from my own experiences. Many of her conversations with Daria about marriage and loneliness and settling are conversations I've had multiple times throughout my life. Kazi's strong relationship with her father is also based on my own (my dad isn't dead, though). Her relationship with Daria draws from my relationship with my sister and how we struggled for many years (to the point that I despised my sister) and then evolved into something where we've grown closer. (Kazi and Daria have a closer relationship than my sister and I do, so perhaps I was projecting.) But their conversation in Chapter XXII about their parents is something I've thought about regarding my sister and me and our individual relationships with our parents (I am my dad's favorite, and my sister has always clung to my mom).
Out of all the characters, who is your favourite, to write or to read (if that gives a different answer)?
This is such a tough question. I loved writing Fox! He grew on me with each iteration of this story. Kazi was exhausting to write because I was writing about myself and that introspection sucks at times and weighed me down a bit; but her story was amazing to write. Again, I loved being able to write about a male character falling for a female character like me, and I liked the safety of writing Wolffe as this patient, consistent, understanding man. A part of me wants to write this story from Wolffe's point of view because he has so many thoughts (and there was a point in the first draft where I was going to include a chapter on the most memorable moments from his point of view but decided against it). But Wolffe is hard me to write inside his head. I don't think I do him justice, but he's such a delight to write from an outsider's perspective. I've totally screwed up this answer because I've listed three characters I liked to write for haha. Oh well.
For reading: I'm in a phase where I don't want to read fic about Wolffe, Cody, or Fox because I have such a firm view of them in my mind after writing this story, so other developments of their characters aren't interesting to me right now. Which is horrible, I know. Once I can remove myself from this story, I'm eager to get back into reading for all three, because I love seeing how other people portray these three men!
Thank you so much for these questions! If you couldn't tell, I had a lot of fun answering them :)

Everyone’s talking about unreliable narration in S2 of Interview With The Vampire, but what I’d like to know most of all is if that scene with Paul and Louis will be revisited.
In the novel, Louis does say something to Paul. Paul tells Louis that he had a vision from the Virgin Mary telling him to convince Louis to sell everything and take the family to go be missionaries in France. And Louis laughs at him, tells him no, mocks him. Louis contemplates the shame of having to tell everything that Paul wasn’t acceptably sensitive, just delusional.
And then Paul kills himself.
It’s such a fundamental grounding for Louis’s character in the novels. His guilt, his horror, his sorrow, his regret. His genuine faults: inaction, supercilious judgement, casual cruelty, ableism.
By contrast, the television version feels uwuified — if you understand what I mean? Louis isn’t at fault anymore: he’s not at fault at all. The complexity of Louis grappling with his failure with Paul has been drawn away in order to present us with Louis who did absolutely nothing wrong.
And I’m not sure why. But it’s similar to the rewrite of Louis meeting Claudia, his predation of her replaced by his rescue of her.
Louis can have faults, Louis can make mistakes: that’s not unbefitting a protagonist. The character doesn’t need to be sanitized. Let him make mistakes and struggle with that. His complexity is important to his character, to his dynamic with characters like David, Claudia, even Armand and Gabrielle, and especially Lestat.
But if they’re presenting us with a narrative where Armand has revised Louis’s memories, surely his memory of his last day with Paul would have been a prime target? If it had indeed gone down in a book-accurate way?
I suppose I’m just perplexed. I’m waiting to see what comes next.

3, 4, 12, 13, 25, 30, 46, 52, 58, 73 and 81 for the fic writer ask game please!
3.) on a scale of 1-10 how much do you enjoy incorporating romance into the average story?
I'd say about an 8 maybe? I really enjoy writing romance since it's kind of escapist in a way for me. It's not something I want in my own life but writing romance let's me get out of my own head in a way. Thus I end up writing a lot of fics with romance in them.
4.) what is the plot bunny you’ve been carrying for the longest? optional bonus question: do you ever wonder why you haven’t written it yet and experience deep existential dread?
So I've got a number of old fics that I started, but I don't think I was really ready to write yet at the time. I'm not really sure which one is the oldest, but some of them I've left the fandom and aren't interested enough to go back. Some are for fandoms I'm no longer comfortable participating in because the author is a massive bigot or because there's some aspect of canon I'm no longer comfortable with (and maybe never was but I've can express why now). And some are fandoms I want to revisit but just… not right now.
I don't really think any of them have any dread associated with them right now, existential or otherwise. But there are some that definitely have some writer's block attached that keeps me from making any progress. (That's more of a heavy sigh than dread.)
12.) do you ever have trouble focusing on writing? how do you get around that?
When I'm really stressed out about something else, it can definitely affect my ability to focus on writing. And it can even wind up feeling associated with the writing even though that's not the real stressor.
All I can really do is take a break. Either work on a different fic or pull out something else to do. Like read a book, play a video game, watch a movie/tv show… just as long as I stop trying to push myself into something I don't have the brain space for.
13.) talk about a writing experience that has pleasantly surprised you.
When I wrote Bisexual Panic and Other Foolishness that was for the Mutant X fandom that only gets a handful of fics added every year (so not dead) but it barely had any fics for the ship I was writing for. So I really was not expecting any engagement on this fic. It was a multi-chapter self-indulgent fic that was entirely for an audience of me.
And then someone started commenting!!! Sometimes that one commentor makes such a big difference, really. This person commented on every single chapter and it was so lovely. Made the posting process really enjoyable. :D
25.) what’s your revision or rewriting process like?
Lol, okay so… a lot of the times what's posted is first draft + editing pass. I don't often do a lot of rewriting beyond a few sentences here or there or occasionally adding a scene that I realize was missing upon re-reading before posting, which has stalled a few things I want to write because they need a much bigger scale rewrite. And my executive dysfunction does not like rewriting as much as new writing.
30.) most inspirational quote you’ve ever read or heard that’s still important to you.
It's cliched but the first part of the Serenity Prayer is something I come back to a lot.
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know the difference.
(But also as a joke back when my dad still fished, I got him the fisherman's version and it was hilarious.)
46.) what time are you the most productive when it comes to writing?
Whenever the plot bunnies attack me. ;) But usually afternoon/evening.
52.) how many unfinished ideas/stories are you working on at the same time?
I'm currently working on… 3. (Had to think about that for a min.) But I have way more on the backburner.
58.) what is the last thing that a fic made you google when you were writing it?
I had to google (duck duck go, actually) a few things from the Doomworld arc. Largely the Arrow Wiki to the rescue.
73.) how do you visualize scenes? do you see it like a movie in your head, or do the words just flow?
Sometimes it is something like a movie in my head where I try to figure out the logistics. Is someone sitting, standing, moving their arms a lot; what kind of space are they surrounded by…
And then sometimes the words just flow. Which is always nice, especially if I've been wanting to make progress for a while and this is a BREAKTHROUGH!!!! But then I have to come back later to tweak a few minor things because I had someone sit down on the couch twice in the same scene without getting up in between. (When is the more dramatic moment to sit down? That one stays.)
81.) if you could go back in time and give your younger self a piece of writing advice specific to you, what would it be?
It's okay not to finish writing something and post it anyway. Fanfiction is a hobby. It should be about what makes you happy and makes you feel proud to have written. And you can still feel proud of a fic and want to share it even if it's never finished.
I think there a lot of fics I stalled out on because I was afraid to post something unfinished or was worried that if I started posting i wouldn't finish even with user interaction because there was a lot more 'when's the next chapter' type comments back then. Which could be so intimidating and a creativity killer. And some of those files are gone now, lost in computer deaths or just in the shuffle of moving from one computer to the next as a laptop finally got too old and slow and started crashing a bit too much.
And maybe I'd have never finished those fics. But if I'd posted the parts that were ready to go, then at least I'd still have them.
#thanks for asking#kitkatt0430 answers#last week was busy (birthday week!!!!)#but I was able to find some time for it today :D

a sick little hobby of mine is watching "author-tube" videos on youtube and the culture of writing i've observed in these videos is like. such a hilarious circus. genuinely farcical. its mostly people who are quite genuine and serious about their writing and most have tradpub ambitions and thats all good i mean dont we all. and on one hand they are speaking a language i understand, one of making up stories and writing them down. one the other. the way they talk about writing makes it sound like its a completely different activity from the one i'm doing. first of all i'm sure it's a surprise to no one that they are obsessed with Getting As Many Words Down As Possible. Quantity is king. second of all, tropes of course take priority over genre. and then there's this thing that i cannot get over. The culture of drafting. a lot of these people write fucking 8 drafts of the same story. and i'm aware that perhaps i just write an extraordinarily clean first draft and that's why it takes me so fucking long. but in these videos i hear about a rough first draft, sure, we're all familiar, and the second draft too of course, the magic happens in revisions. third draft yes its important to revisit your work after having some distance from it for a while, once you're able to look at it with fresh eyes. fourth draft okay well i suppose if there's something that rly isnt clicking. but whats the fifth draft for. and the sixth. are you rewriting the story every single time? what even happens from draft to draft? and how rough exactly was that first one??? that at least i think i got an answer to in a video i just tried to watch a few minutes ago. A woman talked about how she expected to be able to finish the first draft of her next project, a novel, in 4 months. so very rough, i'm guessing. like so rough that i don't think i'd personally call that a finished draft. is what i'm picturing. anyway i closed the tab.

LEO RISING ♌️
❤️ Timeless Reading ❤️
For my lovely Leo risings, I see that you're at a beautiful point in your life. You have been handed support and abundance by the universe, she has been favoring you. It's for a reason, you have a lot coming in and your purpose and soul fullfilment is prominent for this new journey. Your spirit guides need you to be prepared because once this starts coming in there's no turning back and no going back to your comfort habits and coping mechanisms. They're trying to teach you to be intentional with everything you do. You're on the right track, I need to clap yourself and be proud of yourself. You learned your lessons and overcame some tough stuff, that's admirable. Now I see that you're having trouble with the "what next?"
Your ancestors are at work right now. You have things to do in the meantime though, you're worrying about what to do next and the tasks that you have been saying you were going to do are sitting there undone. All those creative skills you have and are planning to use to achieve your goals need to be worked on more. Your Spirit team is working to arrange and bring forth a lot of opportunities for you in the meantime perfect those skills, have some fun,do some soul searching, spend time in nature, unblock those chakras. You have an abundance of things to do that will heal and make you better. Worrying about what next is showing that you're not focusing on the right things and that will lead to self doubt and procrastination.
I see love coming for you, alot of peace and balance and harmony in relationships. You successfully removed all the negative people from around you and now the people that are in your life are bringing harmony and support. You have people that love you and are stepping up to support you, I'll suggest trusting that, use discernment but still trust. I'm seeing boss energy coming in for you, I see a lot of Mr/Ms "I don't play that shit". I love that for you guys! Stop accepting peoples bullshit and stand up, who cares if they think your being cocky or acting like your better than them. You have to take care of your self FIRST before anyone else. Self love is choosing to do right by yourself regardless of what people say or how they feel. You know what you want/need and you took the time out to learn yourself. You learned your own love language and do all the things you need to be happy and feel loved…for yourself. This is what the universe wanted and now you’re about be rewarded for your hard work and self improvement.
I understand your restlessness at this moment but that energy needs to be put into something else. I already told you about your neglect towards your creative endeavors and skills. Get on that. It will lead to something, go revisit them and review those old plans and mood boards and journal entries. Get your stationary and start your revision and rewrite things it'll be better now that you have more information and a better idea of what you want. The universe is about to open doors to fulfillment and you need to be ready for it, practice meditation and breathing, you need to maintain a sound mind, clean from clutter. The field is cleared and I can see the gears turning but you need something to direct that energy into something hence why suggested to you to go look back at your goals. There's no confusion or illusion, you're creating that yourself and it'll throw you off we need some creative focus right now. Congratulations again on doing away with the bull shit. Enjoy your "We only entertain peace" era.
I recommend Carnelian,Amethyst, celestite, smoky quartz, rainbow flourite. Aura cleansing is needed, egg cleanses are good, go see a practitioner for one good cleanse(you don't have to tho), Try putting florida water into a spray bottle to help with quick cleansing. Crown chakra and third eye needs some attention. Stay away from people that drain you.

Where exactly can I read your story? I can’t find any links or anything.
Here ya go! If you haven't seen that post already, I will give you a disclaimer:
I am revisiting the older chapters and rewriting them!
I'm not going to change the overall plot of the story, just making necessary edits to things to be more cohesive and legible. I didn't have a plan going into it in the beginning, and taking long hiatuses due to health issues has thrown it off even more. So, hopefully, it will sound better with time.
Have no fear, though! The revised Chapter 4 - Inside Out will be uploaded today!
Stay tuned!

Well, the Talented Voice rewrite has taken on a life of its own; not only have I expanded the original two chapters by about 2500 words (likely close to 3000 words once all is said and done), but I also decided to add a prologue chapter that is close to 4,000 words and I am very excited to share that with y'all.
... in other words, the original fic was 5300 words and this draft is sitting at 11600 words. 🤣 I hope to finish up the writing/editing process tomorrow, with the goal of sharing the revised version on Thursday or Friday.
While this is absolutely distracting me from writing the sequel, I'm so glad I decided to revisit this fic (and thank you @rangerzath for encouraging me to do so!) There is a bit of a philosophical argument to be had about whether or not you should go back and significantly edit an old fic, but seeing how heavily invested I am in this series, and in telling their stories, I want the first fic in the series to be especially strong and serve as a proper introduction.
#pintsizeninja's writing#also yall zath's banner is an absolute banger#and i cannot wait to share that either#so uh yeah#unexpected extra 6000+ words of Odin/Zane dropping later this week

💥 and 🫘 for the ask game!!!
Hi babe!! Double, okay!
💥Is there a chapter, scene, or WIP you're most excited to write? Share a snippet or tell us about it!
I’m really excited to revisit “Unexpected” (new title incoming… at some point) and honestly, I miss the writeblr community! Felicity and William have gotten a little sassier and a little sillier, so I’m really excited to write their first soft and unguarded moment in the revised draft but I’m not there yet 😞 . Here’s a snippet of how the rewrite is going:
The chair in Maurus’s hands screeched as he dragged it next to the bed.
“Hey!” Felicity protested. Maurus yanked the warm blanket away from her feet, poking and prodding with his fingers. “Leave my feet alone, you freak!”
Maurus rolled his eyes. “So the good news is that you’ll definitely walk again someday.”
Oh. Right. The swelling. And the bandages. And her ankle.
Wasn’t exactly evidence that Maurus the Monstrous didn’t have a weird interest in feet. Felicity wasn’t usually one to judge personal interests, but she would make an exception if it was him.
🫘 Spill the beans. What's a new project you're doing this year?
This feels like cheating because I literally just texted you about this but okayyy. I just started a wlw vampire x hunter little story featuring a cheerful vampire and a pretentious vampire hunter. I’m only on the first page but I’m honestly really excited to have a new project!
This city was already full of corruption. Discovering nightcrawlers lurking around every corner hadn’t changed that fact one bit.
Noah refused to call them anything else. She knew there were other terms for those bloodsuckers but honestly, that felt like more respect than they were worth. She sipped her coffee, black and dark as her soul, as she looked out the window of this empty diner and pushed her aviators further up her face. The sun was just beginning to set. Noah was ready to play.
