I’m kind of interested in the setup of TFP post-war Cybertron

Because up until the finale, it was a dead world, and the only people there now were the people who were there when it got restored in the first place. There’s no one there, everyone has to come back

So like, anyone, Autobot or Decepticon, could come back to help and rebuild Cybertron, and by proxy, have a second chance. The only ones standing in their way would be the TFP cast, and they let Knockout join them. So like unless you’re causing real trouble, you probably won’t get discriminated against for your faction

But also everyone coming there would learn that the war is pretty much over, since Optimus is dead and Megatron renounced the cause (though he could probably also be declared dead as well, since he doesn’t really seem like he wants people looking for him). So again, having to make peace with the other factions

I think the setup could make some interesting post-war stories, rebuilding Cybertron and trying to reunify the race, without Optimus or Megatron around

I know IDW had stories post-war, but I think there the Senate was still around in some way and Cybertron still populated and with certain biases. With the Prime setup, pretty much everything’s a clean slate, with no government or war faction leaders (though there’s still some commanders and such), just the ruins of Cybertron and whoever comes back to rebuild

How SWEET and GENEROUS he is?? ...Gorl, no.. 💔.. when I rewatched transformers prime the second time around, I had this thought running through my head during every episode I watched. Starting from episode 1,

"Okay, so I know in season 3 somewhere Knockout becomes an Autobot. I'm not sure how, but I cant wait to pick up on all the little hints and details leading up to that that make you think Knockout might not be a con/is a kind person. Like sparing someone when he wasn't supposed to, or treating someone's wounds when he didn't have to. Or deliberately letting one of the human children get away because he didn't want to hurt them. Those are all things you could make a Decepticon do to lead the viewer to think they might not be a con."

You know what we got instead? Any opportunity he's had to backstab someone, save his own skin, knock people down, hurt people, unnecessarily toy with people and upset them, get away with wrong doings and making himself look better no matter the cost to others? He absolutely took it with no hesitation.

I need some clearer evidence, like screenshots and gifs because I just do not see him as a good person. He doesn't take his job seriously or care about his patients, he just likes getting to rip people apart while being protected by the Decepticon army.

I'm not trying to start an argument or crap all over a character you seem to like- I'm just trying to say I absolutely do not know what you're talking about. I would like to have my mind changed about Knockout so I can more easily fit him into my AU as an Autobot💔So I'm open to further explanation about Knockout.

(I had planned to just completely wipe away Knockouts character and build a new personality for him because he's just Decepticon all the way to his core.)

Funny you should say that. A while ago I thought about making a comic talking about how Jangles is technically adopted because while I made the other three from scratch, I bought Jangles from a store and dolled him up.

But in the end I never finished the comic because of dried up motivation and I didn't want to give Jangles the title of "adopted". Partly because he actually lines up with other sonas of mine and sometimes looks more related to me than Bibi does. Plus idk it just didn't feel fun/right to call him that.

Oh absolutely, with all the kids but Miko and Jack especially.

I feel like Miko never got a moment to connect with Optimus. And There was so much trust and responsibility placed on Jack that felt like it came out of nowhere. I wish he would have spent a lot more time with Optimus before that so the viewer would understand why Optimus picked him <:/

I have no measurement of time when it comes to the Autobots. In human years I have no idea how old they are, how often they need to sleep, how often they need to refuel, nun of that. Do transformers even have designated sleeping times and "all nighters"??

Well for starters,,, In the humans mind they couldn't start the "car" without a key. So the bot could just stay shut down and not move until the human realized they cant start it and go away.

If they tried to hot wire the car and started prying at the plating, the bot could probably kick them out of the cab by transforming their seats and shoving them out the door with them. Then they would just drive away.

Who cares if this human runs off and tells anyone about this haunted car that drove off by itself? Is anyone gonna believe anything the whacko who tried to steal a car has to say? No reason for the bots to chase after him.

But alllllll that aside. If the human got inside and somehow "started" the car or it was already running, I can imagine the bot faking a backfire or shutting themselves down and pretending not to start until the human leaves. 👍

I have certainly heard of it, but I've never watched it <:/

So my partner got me into Transformers Prime, and I know jack shit about the universe/lore(they explain stuff to me when I have questions but I still don't know shit about the other continuitities and the base lore lmao) but I'm enjoying it a lot so far!

We watched season 1 and part of season 2 on netflix when they had it (they don't anymore), but I'm rewatching bc that was months ago and I dont remember anything (except for my great dislike of Miko), and it's pretty fun, but gods I cant take megatron seriously when bros eyes are going in 2 different directions when they zoom in on him. "I can see the future vividly" like bro you sure, i dont think you can see shit right now-

Love Knockouts sassy gay ass though honestly- starscream being like "oh, you're one of *those*" and I was like mf one of what are we gonna have problems?? leave my boy alone you little weasel (I hate and love starscream he's pathetic and I would punch him given the chance but also that would feel mean bc pathetic useless weasel man needs a break from getting his ass kicked smfh)

And of course I immediately latch onto Soundwave bc why would my brain not obsess over him. Time to play the 'am I him, do I want him, or do I want to be him' game lmao I do love his design and the colors and his whole character. Dudes like a fucking cryptic and I love that for him.

I've been watching/rewatching (cause I DID watch some of it once before) RiD (2015) and I have some thoughts.

So firstly, I don't hate it. It's fine as a series. The problem is, the problem I have, is that seems to be trying to be BOTH a sequel to Transformers: Prime and a standalone series.

Which means it kinda fumbles on both aspects imo.

Like, they had so many cool things from Prime to use and they just. don't. All of Team Prime and the only ones that appear are Bumblebee (b/c MC), Optimus (b/c he can never stay dead), and eventually Bulkhead and Ratchet appear. But like, everyone else? It looks like all they get are mentions.

Which rubs me the wrong way cause like, you mean to tell me, after being teammates for god knows how long (decades? centuries? longer?), after fighting to save Cybertron and saving it, they just drift apart in THREE YEARS? Absolutely fucking not. Like, where did they all go?? And why??

Arcee, Wheeljack, Smokescreen, Ultra Magnus? Shit what about Knock Out?? Do you know how much fun that dynamic would have been? He's a former Decepticon, and the biggest drama queen around, having him around would have been SO much fun.

I don't mind having new characters, but they also just. Scrapped all the old ones. At least come up with explanations for where everyone is/what they're doing instead of pretending they're not there at all.

And on Earth too. You meant to tell me that Bumblebee, upon getting stranded there, doesn't try to use any of his old human contacts? Like sure it's a long shot but, you got options here.

Bumblebee gets stranded on Earth, so have him try to call up Agent Fowler (b/c surely he's got some kind of contact info for him/Unit E) for help. which gives you several options to work with.

-Option 1. He calls and Fowler answers, giving us some kind of connection to Prime (also you would get a fun dynamic between Fowler and the Clays I'm sure haha. You don;t even need Fowler to be physically there, he could be the voice on the phone for them)

-Option 2. He calls and someone ELSE answers. Agent Fowler has retired sometime in the last three years and this is his replacement. This works if the va is unavailable/unable to return, but also gives a sort of connection to Prime via Unit E, but ALSO allows a new character for the new series.

-Option 3. He calls and no one answers/get a 'number no longer in use' message. This gives us a reason for why he's not going to them for help.

Ditto for calling Raf. You know his best human friend? Since Raf would be a teenager and thus gone thru puberty now you can easily recast him w/ a new va, mitigating the issue of getting the va back. Or you have the number no longer work for w/e reason (not in service, belongs to someone else).

Not only does this give a reason for why Bumblebee isn't using his former Earth contacts, it also emphasizes how alone he now is.

Like, if you want to NOT use your previous assets, fine, but you can do that w/o just pretending they don't exist.

And, b/c they DO reference things and characters and places from Prime, it doesn't *quite* work as a standalone.

Like, they bring back some of the Decepticons, so why not bring back some of the Autobots we know and love?

Shit, you know what WOULD have been neat? The return of Airachnid. Last we saw she was stranded on a moon. Alive. So it's not impossible for her to have escaped (maybe she hitched a ride on a ship that landed on it?). So, have her come back! That would be one hell of a fight. Maybe use that as a way to bring Arcee back (Arcee learns Airachnid is back and is hunting her down to stop her from hurting anyone).

There was so much potential there and they just. yeeted it and Idk why.

You can either be a standalone, unconnected series, or a sequel. But you can't be *both*. It don't work.

I'm rewatching Prime.. And I have no idea why I absolutely despised Starscream in this show.... I constantly made fun of him and called him a crosseyed dumb twink, I mean I wasn't wrong but still- I don't know why I hated him I fucking love him now? Childhood me would never think I’d be somewhat shipping Optimus and Megatron but like… yeah I understand what y’all are getting at in your tumblr posts. (Fr though, their friendship was so sweet. D-16’s betrayal really did hurt. And it’s been a while since I’ve seen such a well done relationship like that in the media. They’re just two silly lads who genuinely cared about one another and yet got driven apart by vengeance.)

Every single time Bee said “Badassatron” I’m sobbing— He’s such a goober. Bumblebee was always my favorite as a kid, so I have a soft spot for him (even if Orion and D16 were my favorites in this film). “KNIFE HANDS” he’s a safety hazard. (Also him being slightly insane and making inanimate objects his friends to talk to and being self-aware that they’re fake— I AM STEVE?!)

Sentinel essentially saying “Nu-uh” to D-16 when he was rambling about his plans.

Why did they keep saying miner? 😭

Starscream is such a neeerddd per usual. Dang he’s simping for Megatron (I’m kidding y’all, I miss poking fun at the silly plane man)

The boys are just casually scared of Elita. Girlboss 💅 (Also I love that her and Arachnid had a fight. I vaguely remember them having a fight/maybe rivalry? In Transformers Prime. Speaking of which, I need to rewatch that. Its been years and I never finished it)

I’m sorry but the whole “Starscream” namesake and then D-16 damaging his vocal cords is obvious irony but still. Nice touch.

Orion’s whole arc and relationship with D-16 is sad when you pair it with how they are in other iterations. Like, the reason Orion/Optimus would’ve been a stickler for the rules and order was because he was afraid of losing someone again like he lost D-16. (I can’t remember if their backstory is the same all across the board, its been a while since I brushed up on transformers stuff)

The animation was genuinely very pretty. I love the little magic sand particles and the way Megatron’s eyes have a glow trail as specific examples.

The child in me kept kicking my legs and screaming at the references. The mask! Roll out! When D got his signature arm gun I internally lost it. And Chris Hemsworth’s voice at the end of the film was a really really good Optimus voice.

“Is it… getting closer?” Meanwhile Bee: *running away for his life* (both him and Orion running at the start of the film absolutely took me out)

Okay I might do a follow up to this tomorrow, it’s late and I have work in the morning. I’ll think on some more things I want to add as well as some headcanons! Stay tuned!

Book Club: Wonder Boys, Michael Chabon (1995) followed by a rewatch of Wonder Boys, Curtis Hanson (2000) - bonus Film Club

This venture was back in February but we're catching up at last! I thought it would be fun to go from the fucked up academia of The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie to the fucked up academia of Wonder Boys, and I was right.

I'd first watched this movie in 2020, and this time the extended edition experience of reading the book featured an entire second act, just neatly excised from the film basically right along the datelines. Wild! I would have done the exact same if adapting this myself. You're gonna have to cut a lot of time, and just losing this second day is remarkably tidy. It changes what the story is only in form, the three day/three act structure of the novel transformed into what I'd originally called the "shaggy dog caper" of the film ambling over more like two and a half (?), and both shapes suit the narrative just fine.

Another surprise was that between 2020 and now, I have become about 101% more versed in Old Hollywood stars & movies, so James Leer's obsession with same now felt like a special little treat. It's in both the novel and the film in equal measures, this one not an expansion in the text so much as an expansion in me as a person engaging with it.

Perhaps my most powerful thought while reading the Chabon, besides on-going casting rankings and "lol I love these lit freaks," was that the first day/act of the book reminded me so much of the first day/act in Ernest Hemingway's The Sun Also Rises. Our narrator drifting from location to location, adding or swapping other characters as they come, until it begins to feel like this night has just always been happening, and you are completely lost in your tally of how many drinks and/or drugs they've even had by this point. I think this is a really great thing to do with a story, I love the effect of it both in the Hemingway and here. By the time they finally get to bed you're like, oh my god.

Finally: while the movie does take place in February, as I'd thought, the book starts there briefly then skips ahead to April, it seems, for the bulk of the events -- method-reading mishap!

We're beginning to get into the tartaros arc on our rewatch, and there's one thing that's made it more bearable than it was to read the manga for me: the filler episodes.

I know that sounds ridiculous trust me I do. But the filler episodes feel like the best of fairy tail as the show goes on because it brings the series back to what I liked about it. The unity of the guild without the forced feeling of them against the world.

Characters getting into shenanigans that are genuinely hysterical to watch such as Mirajane's transformation lessons and natsu, lucy, and happy getting stuck on a job as they nearly starve to death.

I need it to be noted: I'm not someone who hates dark or heavy media. One of my favorite current comics is so emotionally draining and dark I can't recommend it to everyone. But fairy tail is draining in a different way. It's disappointing to watch a show that dangles stakes in your face and then just tosses them away instead of sticking with characters making tough choices. It's aggrevating to watch an author simply back pedal on character development when ge gets bored or notices fans not enjoy it.

I don't even make posts about my disappointment with the show anymore because it's so repetitive to just reiterate the same thing a million times and never notice a change for the better in the material. The writing just keeps dipping in quality and it sucks because there are moments that make you remember mashima can do well when he tries. The sun village twist, the Aquarius goodbye as prime examples.

What's even worse is that so much of the set up the anime does for some moments is just absent from the manga. We don't get the celestial rebellion arc in the manga so we don't even have scenes of Aquarius and Lucy from that arc to give us more content to strengthen their bond.

This is the first series I've ever seen where I actually WANT there to be more filler, because it seems like the writers of those actually care about making fun content and focusing on the guild mages that make up our supposed family. Normally fillers are just meant to tide the audience over until the major plot points happen, for fairy tail they're they only parts I can see myself rewatching post timeskip.

Ah, no worries! I'm glad to hear my blog is filled with scrumptious content! About who is my favourite tansformer. Well, it would be easier to answer who isn't my favourite ifbvkdjfv

I'm a TFP girlie through and through. Prime has been my comfort show since like 2011 and I continue to rewatch it year after year even now. I have indulged in other Transformers media, too, most notably the Bay movies, War for Cybertron, Robots in Disguise and the OG series, tho nothing would come even close to my love for TFP. I truly do think this is the best Transformers incarnation in franchise ever created.

About the fav character (aside from the obvious picks like Optimus and Megatron), this is mega hard for me because all of them are so good dfhvbihvfb. I think I could narrow it down to a few, neither is placed higher or lower than the other because I love them all for different reasons.

Ratchet. Absolutely love this grumpy old fart. He's what started my love for the "grumpy character who pretends they don't care but actually care A LOT" character archetype. He's everything I love and nothing I don't, plus I do think that Jeffrey Combs was made to be his VA in a similar way Robert Downey jr. was born to play Iron Man

Starscream. I will be honest, it actually took me some time before I started to like his character instead of just seeing him as an annoying bootlicker. I mean, he's still an annoying bootlicker, but I came to enjoy him! OG Starscream walked so TFP Starscream could run. He's all of his old traits but amplified and made better. His scheeming, cunning nature, inability to shut up to the point the show itself calls him out for it (Operation Bumblebee) but at the same time, he's a pathetic coward. A wet cat of a man, soggy af. I do think if the show came out in recent years that tumblr would have a field day with him. 10/10 I miss Starscreams like him

Smokescreen. This may or may not be a hot take because he's apparently pretty unpopular with the fandom?? At least he was in like 2012-2015 when I was most active in the fandom. I actually really do enjoy his recklessness and immaturity, it makes him feel more like a youngster that's yet to see the horrors of war. I love how quickly he grows throughout the episodes when he comes to realise their fight isn't about personal glory, it's about survival and about doing what is right. 9/10 because I hate the updated painjob he got in season 3

Miko. Also kind of a hot take, since she seems to be the least favourite among the kid trio. I gotta be honest, TFP is the only Transformers incarnation where I actually like the human companions, and Miko I love the most. She's reckless and bold and immature, like any "punk" teenager of her age would be, and I also absolutely adore the bond she has with Bulkhead.

KnockOut. My first ever experience with a character that was so violently queer-coded it rearanged by neural pathways. Loved him since his very first scene. The sass, the execution, his mad doctor persona, obsession with looks, surprisingly scheeming nature, he's just so full of personality. I also love how he's actually canonically married to BreakDown. My only gripe with the character is that I wished he was depicted to mourn BreakDown more instead of, like, just mentioning he's annoyed that he now has nobody to buff him. But also this was a pre-Steven Universe show back when queer characters weren't as prominent in kids media, so I get why it wasn't implimented. I'm still salty about it though

Arcee. Arcee I had to grow to love, and it didn't happen until several years after the show has ended. At the start, I found her to be a deeply unenjoyable character, grumpy and cold and dismissive towards everyone (and especially Jack) and not in the fun way Ratchet was. However, as I aged, I came to realise that she's not just being an asshole, she's grieving. This is one of the key reasons why I love TFP. It tackles serious topics like death and grief very well for an animated kids show that was mostly made to promote a toy brand, and Arcee's character really shines here. I deeply enjoy seeing her come out of her shell after Cliffjumper's death and slowly form a deep loving bond not only with Jack, but with everyone else too. Also how she helps Miko out with her own grief after Bulkhead gets seriously injured. You know what that is? Growth. Nothing but growth and healing for my sassy two-wheeler.

Bro, this sentence is burned into my memory. Forever. It altered my brain chemisty, I swear. Arcee and her grief over Cliff and Tailgate are so well portrayed and it makes one of the best written characters on the show and I will die on this hill!!

What first drew you into Transformers? Has this draw remained the same over time or has it changed?

My sister originally got into it back in the day, and I ended up fulfilling my usual role of watching whatever her interests were so she had someone to talk to. Then I actually got my own interest in it, which helped me not have to deal with my absolute trainwreck of a personal life at the time.

I fell away from it for a few years for a lot of reasons, but i started getting back into it around the start of this year. Now I think I just like that it's something familiar. (maybe my life is a trainwreck again, who can say)

4. What concepts in Transformers do you think should be explored/delved into more?

Any of the weird mind or body stuff they can do. I just finished rewatching Headmasters and the whole transtectors concept with them being the heads of the larger bodies and switching around is fun. Really anything where they get weird with it, you can push a robot so much further than a human and get some fresh new angles.

7. Least favorite Transformers story/plot?

I'm still getting back into them and my feelings have changed on a few things so I'm reapproaching it all with an open mind, but so far I usually find myself bored by anything with Unicron. Like oh great, the world is ending AGAIN. [deep sigh] here we go. I just dont like big world-ending threats i love personal drama.

8. A Transformers story/plot that's a guilty pleasure for you?

My friends would probably say Auto Bop because I keep trying to convince them to watch it with me whenever I've been drinking.

However, it has to go to the Hunter and Sunstreaker Headmasters arc. I love body horror, I love experimentation, I giggle and kick my feet at how absolutely miserable it is for the both of them. I love when characters are having almost as bad of a time as me. There's that, Autobot Spike in G1 S2, Only Human in G1 S3.

Really any time there's something along those lines going on, I am grinning ear to ear.

Any of the G1 stuff where the bots are honestly just hanging out doing whatever. I mean come on, they built a bot-sized basketball court and Optimus Prime learned how to dribble and dunk. He needs to stop leading the Autobots the Lakers need him.

I guess I just think it's cute to see them hanging out and having fun and Doing Stuff that isn't just like, bullshit war stuff.

So uhm, first of all, TYSM for the follow back a while ago!! I genuinely squealed irl when I saw the notification cause "Holly molly. This author that I've known since their DSMP phase that was one of my favorite ones ever, who is now in the same fandom as me, is writing amazing TF fics (that I still need to check out DOTFB) , is following me???!", genuinely made my whole day!

Second, thank you for liking my silly TF AU as well!! I'm really bad at answering stuff but I genuinely love your comments you've left on there and genuinely put a smile on my face whenever I re-read them!

Third, I wanted to ask you for tips about writing since your fics are really good in terms of characterization, worldbuilding, dialogue and action!! You're one of my inspirations to keep polishing my writing and make my own TF fic, so I want to learn from the best!!

And fourth, I just wanted to thank you for your amazing fics you've done, for both DSMP and TF, genuinely they're gems!! And I just wish you an excellent day and week, don't forget to take appropriate breaks and drink water :D!!

also, hehe, know YOU know how i feel whenever i see a comment from a reader or someone i know and stuff! comments makes any writer or artist smile! im glad to have put it there :DDD

as for writing tips;

it all depends if you want to either stick to canon or stray from it for your own characterization of it. if you want to stick to canon, then reread/rewatch the original work and find some good character analysis posts about that character and try to get into their mindset!

that also helps with your own characterization of it too, or at least building from the base of it. but most of all; don't forget you're writing a PERSON. characters are people in the sense they have more than one facet to them most of the time, they're complex things and stuff.

as for dialogue- again, writing people. sure some moments can be serious and all that, but they're still just people. unless they're not then you can make it weird and stuff- like how i wrote Trixy and Mako in Twice the Primes. Their type of sentience and thinking made it very simple but also weird to write, it was fun!

honestly the best way to learn about writing, fanfic or otherwise is to READ. read LOTS of things, read from other fanfic writers and stuff. if you notice a cool writing trick or paragraph, keep it in mind. emulate it- don't straight up copy it word for word because, y'know, plagiarism. but be INSPIRED by it! take it apart, put it back together, put a new spin on it!

creativity takes on the shape from inspiration but it doesnt always have to be the same

worldbuilding is the same thing really, though i freehand a lot of it most of the time. transformers has a LOT of content for me to use so that definitely helps with worldbuilding, but recent advice from IsekaiGirl herself also reminded me that i don't exactly HAVE to worldbuild every meticulous detail (i have a bad habit of doing that sometimes)

it's okay to make things vague and mysterious! it actually gives you more wiggle room and stuff. you can always expand on it later.

i hope what i said here makes sense to you and helps you in your writing! when you do have a tf fic LET ME KNOW! LET ME READ! i want more TF fics!

Which Transformers series do you like the most? I just watched Animated, Prime and Transformers RID

Ooh, excellent question!

If we're going solely on the one I go back to rewatch the most, it's probably Robots in Disguise 2015. The entire series is on Youtube and oftentimes I'll just put it on in the background when I'm sewing or playing video games. I actually really dig the artstyle and it's a nice, lighthearted watch that I end up going back to pretty often.

Tied for second are Animated and Earthspark, because I really love them both but I love them for different reasons! The aesthetic and stylistic choices of Animated are timeless, and I really love the new characters that we're getting in Earthspark.

Then, of course, Gen One. The G1 cartoon is such a mood lifter for me, it's so cheesy and hokey and fun every time I go to watch it. I can enjoy the intricacies of Transformers series that are heavier and have darker themes for what they are, but at the end of the day I really just like to sit down and watch something that makes me chuckle.

1 - TMNT - love this show I’ve seen mutant mayhem all of rise and am rewatching 2012.

2 - The Owl House - this show means a lot to me and I really enjoyed it. I don’t know why the shows I like get cut but either way this show is awesome.

3 - Transformers - I like the movies and am watching some shows. I grew up watching rescue bots so that’s the one that I feel the strongest attachment too.

4 - Tangled The Series - I haven’t interacted with this show in ages but I remember liking it and am always disappointed we didn’t get Vat7k

5 - Ducktails - Watched the originals as the kid and watched the remake love Both of them.

6 - Sonic the Hedgehog - I’ve played the games and watched Sonic X, Sonic underground, the sonic movies, and sonic prime.

7 - Ninjago - I watched it as a kid and have continued watching it. It doesn’t always make sense or stay consistent but it’s fun and exciting and really nice.

8 - Monkie Kid - Love this show its so awesome and I can’t wait to see more. I went to a Lego store and they had zero LMK sets I was sad but not surprised.

Favorite Characters from each

Rottmnt - Donnie with Leo and a close second. That said I love all the characters in this show a lot.

Tmnt2012 - Raph, with Casey as the runner up.

TmntMM - Raph and April are my favorites right now but that might change once I get to see more of the characters.

TOH - Gus and Hunter are my favorites.

TFRB - Cody and Heatwave. Love these two this show makes me happy.

TTS - Varian is my favorite.

Ducktails - Louie is my favorite and Lena is the runner up.

Sonic - Tails is a character that I like across all iterations. Shadow can be a hit or miss but I love him I’m the games.

Ninjago - Lloyd and Kai. Love these two big fan of Cole as well.

LMK - Macaque, and Sun Wukong are probably the ones I find myself the most interested in but Mei is probably my favorite character. I love all the characters in this show.

Something I’ve been thinking about as I rewatch specifically the 4th and 5th movies of Transformers

I think that their order should have been switched.

It sounds confusing at first but

In Last Knight, we get Nemesis Prime yes, and the attempted awakening of Unicron, and whatnot which would have been fantastic but

It also would have been a fantastic lead into what happened in Age of Extinction, where now the world is against the Cybertronian race as a whole, because they fear the damage they can do.

And what better way to incite that fear than to terraform the planet into Unicron, and have the supposed Autobot Leader turn evil and start a mad slaughter of humanity?

The Quintessa idea is interesting, now that could still work, as instead having Optimus seek out a few other signals from Autobots within space in our galaxy, but see that they were in the unwilling custody of Quintessa, leading into his corrupting and becoming her puppet.

Cade and his family would need a rewrite but, it could have been great also, to perhaps have shown to us that yes, Viviane is indeed the l a s t of the Witwicky bloodline.

Have mention of something that happened to Sam, or perhaps have had him be hurt BY Optimus himself that then leads into the fear mongering of ‘the Autobots aren’t what we think they are, look what they did to their closest ally!!' type deal.

Which, when you then get around to Age of Extinction, would justifiably lead into them being hunted down, the Transformium and manmade Formers, which would be a better focus in total.

Now, Lockdown was amazing, loved him, but have instead the plot focus on mankind's manufactured horrors, and even having the Dinobots possibly BE man made, or man made knockoffs of the originals, who are unearthed in the search for Transformium.

Lockdown could have been saved for another film, because Age of Extinction while fun, suffers from an overly crowded plot. Let Galvatron have his time to shine, not as a secondary evil in comparison to Lockdown.

I have a lot more I wanna say but this requires me to fully rewatch the movies and take notes to write out a better plot.

Anyways villainous noble girl (gender neutral) Starscream. More specifically a fic thats a mix of The Villainess turns the Hourglass, and Tearmoon Empire. I have no reasoning for this except VNG stories are fun
