i love taking advantage of my art uni's massive (MASSIVE) scanners for literally anything i can. it's got the most gorgeous grit and scan banding that photoshop trickery cant replicate (though i try lol). so, yes, i literally printed out the b&w flyers, scanned them in, then added color and printed them again to stick on my wall haha.

when digitally adding color, i wanted it to really feel like black ink on colored paper instead of trying to print on color paper and then scan it again (i have done this before idk). i think the xerox-y look is pretty convincing! the green, pink, and purple are my personal favs.

an irl friend suggest i try non-black-ink versions to see what i liked. i think they look cool but some of the text gets a bit lost. still, i like the pale yellow+red ink one. (this almost makes me want to try riso printing this to see what it'd look like 👀👀).

^ this is what the white horse metal barrier edit looked like before I added the Huji Cam filter lol. it wasn't feeling convincing enough like this, so i actually took a photo of my laptop screen with the filter and somehow that looked more real than the actual shot from the show lol. (also, because i've stared at this screenshot for so long, the orange/yellow June 12th poster? is everything on it a reference?? loll)

Headcanon of the day; Cody does not like hugs, and the only person who’s allowed to hug him with no repercussions is Rex. For this reason Fives and Echo continually force him into group hugs just to torture him (however after Echo was rescued and Fives was released from Kamino he {only somewhat begrudgingly} allowed them both to hug him)

Additional reasons why this is funny to me are 1) Lionel is definitely a hugger and would have hugged him a lot on that one mission they were on together, and 2) it makes that snippet scene I wrote where Obi-Wan hugs him before they escape Coruscant all the more interesting bc from Cody’s perspective something has to be REALLY wrong for Obi-Wan Never-Expresses-Emotions Kenobi to immediately run to HIM of all people for a hug.

I saw your reblog of the Marquand poll saying Gregory Peck wasn't right for it in the tags and so out of genuine curiosity I wanted to ask, why include actors you think aren't suited for the roll on the poll? Also how many of the actors "cast" do you think are miscasts? (If you don't wanna name names that's fine, I'm just curious about the numbers)

uhhh that one was just a mistake tbh, I made the last batch of polls really quickly and I threw Greg in there just because I was like, eh, he's played a lawyer, this will be funny. In general with the polls I do try to show a wide variety of potential (and legitimate) takes on each character that all still feel plausible to an element of the character we see in the book, even if I don't agree on prioritizing that element, so everyone can vote for their version of Dracula.

oh my GOD i havent seriously done teenexo meta in probably two years but this question is worming its way through my brain bc the answer is almost unequivocally no but its close enough to yes that im like. insane

so the thing about dys. the thing about dys. he is SO isolated and i think in some ways he would not be doing well on the heliopause mostly because the general vibe of the ship is the hypermilitaristic society where everyone's gotta fit into the same box but also like. it's a society that rewards and encourages violence and dys has the potential for a Lotta violence in his heart

i dont think dys would be friends with nomi and rex. i dont think he would be friends with anyone. i think dys would be a misfit off to the side and even olivace doesn't fuck with him because hte one time he tried dys pulled a knife on him and nearly killed him. i think dys has a Reputation and absolutley fucking no friends bc nomi and rex aren't gonna hang out w/the hyperviolent guy who hates everyone who even tries to get close to him. i think dys has never lived in a society where feelings are encouraged instead of pushed down and while in canon dys is damaged by everyone's awkward refusal to talk abt his mother, a heliopause dys would be damaged by everyone's furious refusal to talk abt a woman who killed herself rather than suck it up and get her shit together. heliopause dys is just so angry i think. i cant see any other end

however. in a bizarre way. i think in some ways he Thinks he's better off, because i think a dys w/o the emotional focus of the stratos doesn't Realize how deeply fucking unhealthy this is. i think there's something gnawing and terrible and empty inside him but he doesn't have words, and is able to justify all his loneliness and misery w/the idea that it's everyone Else who's wrong. dys in a society where violence is rewarded can't understand why ppl don't praise him for bringing a knife to a fistfight and thinks they're all stpuid as a result. i think this in some ways "mitigates" the loneliness he has but i don't think it's actually good for him i just think its more paper over the gaping hole that he doesnt necessarily havei n canon

i feel like there's a lot more i could say/think abt but again it's been like two years since ive done any kind of serious teenexo meta let alone opened the game so like. this is rusty. however im fucking fascinated by this concept now thanks op
