a/n: UNCONDITIONALLY IS BACK FOR A FINAL GOODBYE!! this fic really means a lot to me and i wanted to end it out with an epilogue, so here is said epilogue!! (i always said i’d get to it, didn’t i? hehe) this one has a bit of fanservice lolll, I had to incorperate the og trilogy somewhere!

The sun was hot as you walked from your car into the bakery; today was the twins' birthday and you were going in to fetch their cake.

As you walked across the warm asphalt you offered your hand behind you, in no time a smaller hand grabbed yours and you smiled.

Your daughter returned the expression, “Hi, Mommy!”.

“Hi baby” you smiled back.

Five years ago, your and Anakin’s first daughter together was born, Rey; she was an unexpected surprise that came right as you finished med school.

You had her in the winter before you started your residency at the city’s biggest hospital. 

The twins were 12 when Rey was born and were beyond excited for the new addition. They spent most of their free time playing with her and Leia would even teach her new concepts she learned in school (not that Rey remembered any of that). 

Your daughter looked alot like you, but she definitely had some signature skywalker traits; her thick luscious hair, her high cheekbones, and her beautiful eyes.

You absolutely adored her.

When you told Anakin the news all those years ago, he could hardly believe his ears; he didn’t think that he would have the opportunity to be a new father again, but he was ecstatic. 

Throughout the pregnancy he would kiss your belly and run over your bump with his own arms, rather than the stiff prosthetics; he told you it was because he didn’t want to disturb the baby with the more harsh motions he made with them on. 

Around that time he was just returning to work again and came home exhausted from all of the walking and meticulous tasks, yet he would still make sure you were as comfortable as you could be before he would relax for the night. 

He was so thoughtful. 

As for Anakin himself, he had his good days and his bad days, but as the years passed his good days began to outweigh the bad ones. His body had gotten accustomed to his prosthetics and he was able to go a whole day with them on without too much discomfort. 

He got himself back to a healthy weight and even started working out again; his routine was much different than what it used to be, but with the help of some specially designed prosthetics he was able to go to the gym with little to no trouble. 

Nowadays his biceps and triceps were particularly defined- some of the new devices allowed him to hold weights and even hold his weight on the pull-up bar. He also got some running blades and tried to make it to the track at least once a week. 

He still had bouts of phantom pains, but those only really came after long periods of wearing his limbs or when he would get stressed. 

His lungs also got significantly better over time with multiple treatments in the earlier years; now they only gave him trouble in winter when the air got thin and crisp.

“Mommy, which cake are we getting for Lukey and Sissy?” Rey asked as she surveyed the assortments of colored cakes in the glass display case. 

“The baker made their’s specially, so we just have to pick it up” you smiled as you waited for a worker to assist you. 

Today was Luke and Leia’s 18th birthday and were planning a big party. When the twins got into highschool they both made a plethora of friends, so since it was their birthday and so close to school being back in session they decided to have an end of summer and birthday party. 

It took a while to get the date sorted out because you and Anakin had your 10th anniversary vacation planned for around this time since last year.

You decided that you would celebrate the twin’s birthday with the family and close friends then they could have their party later in the week when you and Anakin were gone. 

Maybe it seemed irresponsible to leave two newly 18 year olds to an empty house as you went across the country for a weekend, but you and Anakin trusted the kids, they were responsible and with Leia around, nothing would get too crazy. She grew up to be just as mature as you always figured she would. 

Finally an attendant came up to help you and gave you the cake box in no time. 

“Alright baby, let's go home” you said to your daughter who trailed behind you with an sweet smile on her face.

Across town, Anakin sat in his office going through documents on his large touch screen computer. 

It was a really good thing for him to be able to go back. The office celebrated his return with a nice cocktail party downtown (very fitting for the prestige of his company). 

Even though you had been with him for a decade, you still weren't quite sure what his business did, you just knew it was very successful (obviously with the income he made).

He and Ben tried to educate you countless times, but you were never a big economics or business girly. 

“I think I’ll just stick to my medical knowledge and leave the economy to you guys” you jokingly told him and Ben. 

Anakin’s return was pretty seamless, he never lost the momentum he once had at work. He hated pity and sympathy more than anything so he made sure to let his work speak for his capabilities. And after only a month and a half back he brought the company's stock up 17%; safe to say no one was questioning his capabilities after that. 

Today was no different, he was on a grind to get extra work done so that he wouldn’t be behind after coming back from the vacation. 

His office was pretty tricked out with innovative tech to help him do things easier. First off, everything was digitized since he didn’t have the dexterity to sift through stacks of papers. Everything was touchscreen for his convenience as well (he wore one of those touchscreen gloves at work). 

The doorway to his suite was expanded so he could go in and out easier on days that he needed his wheelchair.

He also had a bigger office so that he could bring R2; he even had a little treat jar for him. 

Anakin leaned back in his chair and stretched. 

“Almost done Artoo, then we’ll go back home, alright?” he promised, petting the dog beside him. 

After another 30 minutes Anakin was finally finished; he gathered up some of his stuff and put on his work backpack and suit coat. He grabbed R2’s  leash and hooked it on to his “service dog” vest before heading for the door.

“Leia, who are you all inviting to the party?” Luke asked from the kitchen. 

“I don’t know? Probably some of my friends from model UN and maybe a few from debate club” she shouted back from the couch. 

She turned to the guy she was leaning on, “you’re definitely coming to the party”.

He made a face, “no, actually I’m not coming and I never wanna see you again”.

“That's fine” she said nonchalantly and turned the other way. 

“Let's see how you function without me,” she smiled to herself. 

“You’re right, what would I do without you? How would I take care of Chewie on my own? The horror… the Horror!” he cried dramatically. 

She giggled and cuddled further into him, “You’re so stupid, Han”.

“Right back atcha sweetheart” he winked before kissing her gently. 

Han Solo was Leia’s long term boyfriend; they started talking in middle school but Anakin didn’t want her to date until sophomore year of high school and even then he didn’t want her to date, but you convinced him to loosen up (Leia was insanely grateful). 

The two of them met after they were assigned to a project in physics class; Leia hated physics and just wanted to be in her gov and econ class that was next period, but she was stuck here with a sarcastic lab partner.

She was annoyed, thinking she would have to do all of the work for their labs but he surprised her; one lab required a long list of calculations so they split them down the middle and Han finished all three of his before Leia had even gotten to the second one. 

“You’re not the only one with brains here,” he said.

“B-but-”

“I know I look as dumb as a bag of rocks, but I sure know my numbers”.

From then on, she was hooked. 

Han had an outward impression of a kind of trouble maker, but he was one of the most genuine kids out there. He was very polite the first time everyone met him and even helped Leia choose a birthday gift for you. He was about a year and a half older than the twins, but had taken a gap year to work.

Leia was really really into him; she would come ask for advice on how to keep the relationship healthy and how to be a great girlfriend. It was cute. 

Han also had an absolutely massive dog named Chewie who was a big sweetheart; he had long brown fur and was always smiling with his tongue out.

Often Han would bring Chewie over to the house because he got along really well with Artoo; they spent many afternoons playing in the backyard while everyone else did their own things. 

As for your kids (when the twins were twelve, you legally adopted them), they turned out to be wonderful people with amazing goals; you and Anakin were beyond proud of them. 

Leia was academically focused and even solidified the spot as the class valedictorian. She joined the debate club and model UN- a natural leader and you and Anakin were beyond proud of the young woman she turned out to be (afterall, you had been raising her for most of her life at this point).

You and her bonded over your shared love for learning and not long after you and Anakin were wed, she started calling you “mom”. 

Unlike her brother, Leia was content spending the weekend at the house just reading books and watching random dramas (not to say she didn’t like a good party); she just didn’t need the typical teenage activities to have fun. 

Luke on the other hand was more entertained by his friends and enjoyed doing typically teenage things. Most weekends he would hang out with his buddies at whoever was hosting’s house; mainly they played video games, watched tv, or just did other random shenanigans. 

He got really into mechanics and welding early on in highschool, so you had him enrolled in a certification program. He now worked at a car shop after school and absolutely loved it. He even had a little crush on one of his co-workers who attended a college nearby (that would have to wait until a bit later). 

On occasion you would smell the nostalgic smell of weed on his jacket as he breezed by to head up to his room; most of the time you would shake your head with a smile, remembering those days. 

But of course you gave him the typical “be smart and safe” talk, but he needed to learn his limits himself, when did telling kids they weren't allowed to smoke ever stop them…?

Exactly.

The age gap between you and the twins never really crossed your mind when they were younger, but since they were growing up and puberty hit them and their friends you noticed some things. Luke’s friends would spend more time asking you how your day had been and their curious eyes lingered longer. 

You really were only about 15 years older than then but apparently they thought you were a milf- you only enjoyed their juvenile attention when Anakin was around (you liked to see him get annoyed by their terrible flirting). 

Often he would walk up and place his mechanical hands on your waist or grip your hip as he came up to “tell you something important”; usually it was just him whispering naughty things into your ear. 

His jealousy was endearing- both of you knew these kids were just sorting out their hormones and that they didn’t stand a chance- but he still felt the primal need to show them that you were his.

You pulled into the long driveway of your house and helped Rey out of her carseat before grabbing the cake box from the passenger seat.

Your daughter excitedly ran into the house to find her beloved siblings, which made you smile . 

Soon enough, you saw Anakin’s car pulling in beside yours; you always loved when your schedules would align. You set the cake back down and went over to his door to greet him. 

“Hey, darling. How was your day?” he asked with a tired smile as he opened his arms for a hug. 

“It was pretty good, I’m ready for this vacation though” you smiled into his chest. 

You felt the familiar stiffness of his mechanical hand cradling your waist, “yea, me too” he said, kissing the top of yoru head. 

“Shall we?” he asked, motioning towards the house. 

“We shall” you agreed, picking up the cake once more. 

He turned off his car and Artoo hopped out of the passenger seat; the fluffy dog came over to greet you with a wagging tail and a smile. 

“Hey buddy!” you smiled as he rubbed against your leg. 

Once you set the cake down on the counter, your sleek cream colored cat came sauntering from your bedroom; happily you picked him up and kissed his head. 

“Hello, 3PO” you exclaimed and he meowed back. 

After Anakin had R2 for a couple months, you realized how much you wanted a pet of your own; you always really liked cats and thought that it would be better to have a cat than two dogs with all of the other responsibilities you already had at the house. 

You continued the tradition of naming the pets after your liscence plates; 3PO was the last digits of the car you had when you first started working for Anakin. 

3PO was a very loving kitten, he often curled up in your lap or on your chest at night. At first, Anakin wasn’t a big fan of him- he didn’t really like cats- but as the years went on 3PO grew on him (just like you did). 

Now adays 3PO almost acted as an emotional support pet while R2 carried out the duties of a service animal. 

Either way, you were just glad that he finally approved. 

Anakin walked into the kitchen with a slight limp. 

“Are you alright, Ani?” you asked, helping steady him at the counter. 

“Yeah, my right leg is just giving me trouble today. I think I might have gone too hard at the gym” he said.

“Alright” you said, before tilting your head up for a kiss. 

He brushed your hair out of your face and smiled, “Nothing to worry about, Angel”. 

Afterwards he granted you the kiss you were waiting for; even after all of these years he still gave you butterflies.

a/n: so i made ur kid Rey since shes "an honorary skywalker" in the sequels and in this universe, she's luke and leia's halfsister (technically. even though she sees them as her real siblings). this was a lot of background and hopefully it wasn’t too muddled!, i really just wanted to write this for funsies :)) i hope you all enjoyed though!! there will b one more part!!

and he remembers all the rumors and stories General Organa has shared with him about how Lady Kryze's sister supposedly had a dalliance with a Jedi, the future General Kenobi, and that Lady Kryze seemed to believe them

which allows him to develop a Scheme: he and Finn will help Rey pass as the lost Kryze, and when they

Rey is willing to go along with Poe and Finn, both because she hopes to find her family on the journey and because the First Order arrived on Jakku and started bombing her home looking for her once Kylo Ren figured out that she was a candidate to be the missing Kryze

as they track down Luke to teach Rey and Finn a bit more about their Force abilities (all in the name of strengthening Rey's case to be the missing daughter of Korkie Kryze, of course, and also because Finn is really interested in learning and looks really cute when he's trying to concentrate on using the Force (shut UP Connix, Poe definitely has his priorities straight)), it becomes clear that Kylo Ren is backed by Palpatine's ghost, who is equally determined to finish what he started by wiping out the last traces of both the Kenobi and Kryze lines

in the end, when the Resistance calls for aide, Mandalore answers

and Rey gets to find her family after all, even though her parents are long dead themselves

(and Rey gets to introduce her boyfriends to her new Auntie Bo, who is Not Impressed but willing to help the two of them Make Improvements in their armor and fighting technique to meet her standards. after all, they're the only family she has left)

Your point about the only thing Rey people being interested in was her relationship with Kylo and how that paralleled the Luke/Vader relationship is interesting. It would have added a lot of depth to the story if they'd been twins. Rey goes for the kiss. "No Rey, I'm your brother." lol. Awkward. Insanely awkward.

Hey, sorry but since I ship them and SW has already had enough soap opera-like "i'm your secret twin" last-minute revelations for my tastes I prefer them to be a romantic enemies to lovers pair - something that in SW (at least the movies; the EU was a bit different with Luke/Mara Jade and Revan/Bastila etc.) has never been seen before, so it adds an element of originality in what is basically Poor Man's OT. Same themes as Luke+Vader (love and compassion as a redemptive force) but not make it a family thing, please. That would have been uselessly redudant imo. What I meant with the Luke+Vader parallel is they're a similar brand of "the protagonist shares their most important relationship with an antagonist who turns to the Light thanks to their influence; said dynamic also challenges the main character's naive and black/white beliefs on evil&good, it challenges them to see the world under a different light". Rey didn't need to be a literal Skywalker, Kylo/Ben could have been enough for that as "one half of the protagonist/one side of the coin" - also because he has had to live with that legacy/lovable dysfunctional family for all his life while Rey struggled in a desert and Luke was "a myth" to her. She doesn't even know them; Vader&co. mean nothing to her (that's one of the many reasons the Rey Palpatine revelation feels so hollow - are we even sure she knew what a Palpatine was? lmao). The Vader Is Luke's Father plot works so well because he's the antagonist Luke has been fighting since Film 1, and Luke has been idolizing his dead dad since forever. This forces the kid to grow up - his world shatters, so he has to find a new sort of belief code. Similar to what her relationship with Kylo does (or should do) to Rey, but in a romantic key. Maybe a romance that redeemed the original star-crossed space lovers (Anidala) - this is all about Vader's legacy after all. In fact, it's all about that and how Leia couldn't (understandably) cope with it, and her son getting targeted by Snoke. Anakin's ghost should have definitely made an appearance in TROS and had an overdue talk with his grandson and his daughter but alas, "Palpatine somehow returned" but Anakin can't be bothered about his family I guess lol (that's deeply OOC of him - I'm saying this as a fan of the character).

But I agree with your point about Rey never failing/fucking things up/needing others' help. That's one of the reasons the audience feels like she's never really matured and changed. She needed to face her own demons, not someone else (specifically a man)'s. The angst about her parents abandoning her and treating her like shit should have sufficed: if she's shown her parents were Good People All Along and they were really coming back for her - well, that only reinforces her childish beliefs and never really puts her in the position to challenge them. Same as if Luke's dad had been a good guy, like he dreamed, and not literally Satan's right hand man. That's How To Write Protagonists 101 but I don't think Disneylucas ever cared about creating a somehow coherent story.

Backstory

The Sixxes were a family that tried to make the best of what they had in the age of the Empire. Things were tough but they made do, living a modest life, trying to keep themselves out of harm’s way. That is, until one day, the empire made that impossible. There was a crack down on their home planet and in the ensuing chaos, Nyla was separated from her family. Not knowing where to go or what to do, she ran somewhere she knew she would be safe, the woods. She knew those landscapes better than anyone, having explored them with her brother practically all their lives to that point.

She waited, all the while beating herself up for her own cowardice, before deciding to return home. When she got there, things were not the same. Her family was nowhere to be found and Stormtroopers were everywhere. She was caught shortly and forced into a mining operation until she and her fellows rose up and found a way to escape. This rebellious activity and the rest that followed, brought her on a few adventures eventually leading to her coming to Yavin 4, the Alliance’s main base. She, given her skill in navigation and stealth, was given the rank of Scout and was sent on many missions for the rebellion like this, surveying areas either for hideouts or to ensure that an empire occupied area was truly deserted.

It was on one of these missions that she came into contact with a droid. She had been tasked with inspecting an abandoned town. The whole place was deserted, all Nyla could find being some leftover supplies the rebellion could use. She was about to leave when she heard some mechanical whimpering around a corner. Nyla cautiously inched toward the area, blaster in hand and ready to fire in case things went south. Instead, she found a small, clearly injured, K-9 droid, one clearly meant to be a companion to a child. It looked like whatever had cleared this town out hadn’t noticed it or didn’t care. Nyla brought the droid home with her, bringing him to someone who could fix him up. K-9 unit S519 is what the collar said. Huh, Nyla thought, that kinda looks like “Skip.” The little droid followed her around everywhere and everyone just assumed the robot was her s at that point, so she brought him with her on missions, utilizing his skills like any other dog’s. They make a great team.

Nyla and Skip were eventually sent on a different kind of mission. They were usually just sent for surveillance or mapping, anything she brought back would be very appreciated but it wasn’t the primary reason she was sent away. This time they were sent for retrieval. See, Princess Leia Organa had given the plans to the Empire’s super weapon to another little droid. The droid, in the chaotic attack on the Princess’ ship, was lost. Someone has to find it before the empire does. So, Nyla and Skip set off on a mission to Tatooine, wholly unaware of the adventure and the people that await them there.

Honestly they kinda just come to me 😂 I tend to like “sister of/daughter of” OCs (or a combination of both, as Morgan is becoming), and it depends on which guy character (because it pretty much is one of the guys as a launching point usually) I latch on to. Most people create OCs to ship…I create them so I can have older siblings in a way 😂

Though the OCs that stick around usually do because they’re more than just that. They’re the ones I want to take further, explore a deeper story for. There’s a reason Morgan and Lucy are nothing like their first concepts—as time went on, the story I wanted to tell with them changed, and so did they. My OCs usually start as partly projection, and then develop a life of their own 💞

(The side OCs don’t develop as “sister of/daughter of” really, they sorta just spring from whatever character(s) I need for the story. Though they usually develop a life of their own too 😅 even if it takes them a little while)

Are any based on people you know?

Not the OCs themselves, but definitely some of the dynamics 😂 Lucy and Luke, for example, bicker the way my brothers and I do, and some of Barry and Morgan’s later shenanigans will mirror me and my brothers too.

I also tend to based aunt-niece relationships (like Tina & Morgan…and Lucy & Rey later) on me and my aunt 💞 I love her to pieces

Which OC is your favorite to write?

This answer changes all the time, between Lucy and Morgan 😂 currently it’s Morgan, but that could change (though hopefully it won’t until I finish this fic 😅)

I also quite enjoy writing Astra 💞 she’s a bit of a different character, in that she’s a bit more wry and sarcastic (similar to Tory Nichols, if you’ve seen Cobra Kai), and as challenging as that can be character-wise, it’s also super fun when I nail it

Which OC do you identify with the most?

Ooh probably Aminah, though that does feel a bit like cheating because I did create her to be a younger me 😅 if we’re talking about which OC is the most self-insert one I have, it’s definitely her

What’s a random happy memory for your favorite side OC?

Ooh well James and Morgan met because he saw her sitting alone at lunch and decided to sit with her.

She was still pretty wary and uncertain (understandable, being two years younger than her peers), and part of her thought he was making fun of her, so she told him to shove off. James said, “Are you sure? I won’t bother you, I promise…I just needed a place where I can hear myself think.”

Morgan just kinda shrugged and didn’t say anything else. She asked him about it the next day when he sat next to her again, but he just made the same excuse. That kept going on for days until she finally asked what he really wanted.

“I just didn’t want you to be alone,” he admitted, “because you looked like you needed it. I promise that’s all.” It took her a little while to accept that, but it helped that James also felt a little braver and started cracking some jokes, making her smile and laugh.

And that was the start of a wonderful friendship 💞 (and romance, later, though even when that ended, their friendship was as strong as ever)

You know what’s funny? As loathe to compare SW and GOT as I am, it’s quite something that House of The Dragon has become very popular and a major plot point is Rhaenyra, the daughter of the King, being named as heir and all the interesting conflict that arises from that, and she grows from her hardships, yet plenty of people in the audience root for her to succeed.

But when Rey was absolutely definitely planned to be Luke’s daughter, it was “taking away from her character” and considered “boring and less empowering”.

i really like seeing the relationships of mothers and their children in sw and we've only gotten a very few and, unfortunately, briefly! where popular father-son dynamics such as luke-vader and mando-gorgu get whole series or trilogies, we rarely get more than a couple minutes on screen highlighting mother-son dynamics.

it's definitely the lesser focused on aspect with star wars mainly lasering in on popular father-son dynamics. we even get WAY more luke-owen and bail-leia and hardly any mention of beru or breha.

and of course, we have an almost total absense of father-daughter & nonexistent mother-daughter on-screen dynamics (aside from mere seconds of jyn and her dead mom, rey and her nameless dead mom) unfortunately. and no nonbinary children or nonbinary parents.

looking forward to seeing those things fleshed out bc it is so endearing when they choose to actually spend time on them with our beloved characters

hmmm.... went down a pretty hefty rabbit hole on amputee recovery, but that's definitely not the weirdest thing lol, but there's been so many I can't even think of a good example!

omg I've always dreamed of a full Star Wars sequel rewrite, from beginning to end, where Rey is Luke's daughter and Luke never ran away in the first place (or at least not for that reason), and Han doesn't die, and the OG trio actually have a significant role in the story, and Finn is Force sensitive, and he and Poe are given the credit and story they deserve, and there's actually a new and interesting villain and Palpatine stayed dead in RotJ and George Lucas's vision is actually honored. I have no idea who could write it though-- unfortunately I'm not all that familiar with all the Star Wars writers these days :( I'm sure there's someone out there who could do it justice though!!

HATE them. I've actually started to appreciate them more as I've gotten older but still, in general I would prefer to know everything about everything all the time. I used to (sometimes still do) read the ends of books before I started them, it was that bad. I have always wanted someone to throw me a surprise birthday party though...... but doubtful that that will ever happen :(

oh this is such a good question for me because i am plagued with Idea Disease lol i think one that's unfortunately unlikely to get done is what is, in essence, a sw sequels reboot, just because of the scope of the idea. to sum up its sort of a what if rey was mara and luke's daughter and what if kylo ren wasn't force sensitive and was essentially abducted by snoke as a pre teen and then we go from there

big book, a lot happened, most of it very enjoyable

if you've been following me at least since december 2019 you probably know how much I wanted to know about the epic adventures of lando calrissian and luke skywalker, so this book definitely filled that need

I already mentioned how their characterizations get my seal of approval, and I stand by that assessment. it was one of my biggest worries, and I'm very pleased to say that adam christopher did not fuck them up. given how big lucasfilm's luke skywalker hate agenda seems to be, this book felt so good. that actually was luke skywalker there!

also the book makes a point about how strong luke is and I really loved that

I 100% felt lando's pain and regret throughout the book and it was sometimes really hard to read, but so worth it. it was raw and real and I just wanna hug lando

(luke get back here and embrace him properly!)

of the side characters komat has my entire heart. she's a former sith cultist who luke saved prior to the events of this book (idk if she's made other appearances) and honestly? strong lady in an armor and helmet with a rifle? ma'am spare a hand in marriage???

also the way this book explored the force was interesting and will most likely aid me in my future fics (especially the jedi sith au)

on a bit more negative side there's nothing that can make me give any kind of fucks about rey's "parents" because I physically reject them. it's an actual physical reaction for me. rey is lando and luke's daughter and that's that.

all in all, a good book, I'm giving it a solid 9/10. it would've been 10/10 if lando and luke had kissed but I guess I can't have everything lmao. but honestly their interactions were more than I expected and they didn't just sit in the cockpit five feet apart 'cause they're not gay like I feared

so yeah, I liked it, a lot more than I expected^^

The lovely @otterandterrier invited fanfic writers (especially those of us in the Han/Leia fandom) to share a roundup of what fics we created this year, and I’m happy to both share my list and invite other fanfic writers to join me in sharing theirs. (If you’re a writer, consider yourself tagged!)

While I haven’t been as prolific as previous years in terms of the number of fics posted, there’s definitely been a lot of writing going on. (Part of this is a symptom of having not met a one-shot idea that I can’t turn into a complicated multi-chapter AU that gets away from me….) Here we go!

The Book of the Lovers (read on AO3 / read on FF). Han/Leia, T, one-shot, set immediately post-ESB through ROTJ. Six weeks in sunlight with Han, and Leia’s unlearned everything she knew about how to press forward when your heart is broken. A weaving of remembrances, love stories, and the hope that not all loves end in tragedy.

Let Me Call You Sweetheart (read on AO3 / read on FF). Han/Leia, T, one-shot set during ESB. Two weeks into their journey to Bespin, Han and Leia are finally in a good place—but Leia finds that guilt and grief have a way of sneaking up unawares. Thankfully, Han’s learned enough about Leia to know that sometimes, the best way to help is to be there.

The Solo Girls (read on AO3 / read on FF); chapter 6 posted in 2021. Han/Leia, T, multi-chapter sequel trilogy AU in the Epic Love ‘verse (Han Solo lives and Han and Leia’s “breakup” and Luke’s disappearance were to protect and hide Han and Leia’s daughter Jaina), and the sequel to Epic Love. In Chapter 6, Wedge, Rey, and Luke arrive at the new Resistance base to some disturbing news; Jaina and Finn race back to D’Qar to rescue Han and Leia.

A Girl in Trouble (Is a Temporary Thing) (read on AO3 / read on FF); chapters 2 and 3 posted in 2021. Han/Leia, E (for chapter 1 and 2 sexytimes), multi-chapter ESB AU that is the epitome of “crack taken seriously.” Leia had a perfect plan for one night of passion to get Han (and her feelings for him) out of her system, before he had to leave. Unwittingly producing a potential host for a Sith lord was definitely NOT part of the plan. In chapter 2, Leia and Han let their friends in on her rapid pregnancy, Han confronts his feelings, and Leia realizes something else about herself. In chapter 3, with the hours ticking down on her pregnancy, Leia and Han have some decisions to make, but there aren’t a lot of good choices available, while Luke has found a meteor that might be worth checking out…

Mess me up, no one does it better (read on AO3 / read on FF). Han/Leia, E, one-shot, set on Hoth (and in the Falcon) pre-ESB. Waiting with Han to be debriefed after a risky (but successful) mission, Leia can't help but be distracted by thoughts of the encounter that she has no intention of including in the mission report.

Seasonally Appropriate Prompt Idea: Munsters/Addams Family sitcom style shenanigans featuring Sith!Luke and Haunted!Din. I was thinking maybe Leia in a shroud white version of Morticia's dress, and a black tunic and pants inspired version of Lily's for Luke, just to mix it up a bit. (Lilly's "evil" dress from Legend would also be great fashion inspo.) Basically I'm in search of sweetly goofy spookiness to get my brain in gear for Halloween. It seemed the kind of thing you might enjoy. :D

Hey anon I wasn't ignoring this I just was kind of stumped as to what to write for it! It's very specific (also don't know much about the Munsters). So I thought I'd take it a "quick headcanon" route instead of writing a drabble with some kind of plot. I do like the idea of an "ooky spooky" dark pairing instead of dark-dark. Not that I don't like dark-dark but it's an interesting twist.

- I definitely see Luke in a Morticia-ish getup for this. Probably not the dress more of a super tight-fitting cloak that goes all the way down to the ground. Kind of like those cartoony Draculas. You said "Sith" specifically so I guess we're in the canonverse.

- Easiest way to do Sith!Luke is to make him Imperial but that seems messy and I don't want to. So instead their strange little family has settled on a Mid-Rim world and mostly keeps to themselves.

- Local kids absolutely dare each other to see how close to the Skywalker-Djarin house they can get. No one makes it very far before something wacky and scary comes after them (sometimes it's a disembodied hand! They don't know it's a prosthetic being controlled with the Force).

- The Dark Side often comes with a huge case of megalomania but mostly it just helps you get what you want. What Luke wants the most is to take care of his family. Though sometimes he gets like

- Their daughter, Rey, is a mechanical genius. She can take scrap parts from just about anything to create the most ingenious torture devices imaginable. She tests them out on her brother, Grogu, who doesn't seem all that phased by it (it's Addams Family, no one in the family can actually get hurt by shenanigans).

- Speaking of, Grogu's interests largely lie along the line of eating any vermin he can get his hands on. His parents are very proud of what a skilled hunter he can be, but do worry that he's going to spoil his dinner.

- So I love the idea of Haunted!Din in this setting because it would be so much fun. The past Mand'alors possess him sometimes with no warning. He just turns up sometimes with black eyes (scelera and all) rambling about rebuilding the glory of Mandalore and Luke just goes "That's nice, Tarre, can I have my husband back? It's time for dinner."

- A lot of the past Mand'alors think Luke is a Jedi and attack him on sight. Luke is more than down with this because he absolutely loves dueling with his husband, even if it isn't his husband in charge of his body at the moment. Plus he's actually trying to kill him! How thrilling!

- Din is always extremely apologetic after one of these episodes and even more clingy and romantic than usual. Which is saying something because his usual is full-on Gomez (of course it is).

- Sexy Mando'a instead of sexy French? Yes please.

- Anyway more than anything else they're just weird. They have some relatives who are all about "restoring democracy to the galaxy" and "overthrowing the evil Empire" but they don't talk to them anymore, they're just too strange for the Skywalker-Djarins.
