The Tyre Nichols Memorial Fund
Tyre Nichols was loved by his community and was known to be gentle, kind, and joyful. He loved skating and was originally from the Bay Area in California. He was known as someone “you know when he comes through the door he wants to give you a hug” and that “he wouldn’t hurt a fly.”
“He had never been in trouble with the law, not even a parking ticket. He was an honest man, a wonderful son, and kind to everyone. He was quirky and true to himself, and his loss will be felt nationally.”

TW: CONTAINS POLICE BRUTALITY AND DEATH
Rest in peace Tyre Nichol.
He was a 29-year-old father
Worked at Fed Ex and loved skating and photography. His mother describeds Tyre of having a "beautiful soul"
"Nichols was coming from Shelby Farms, a local park where he liked to go and take pictures of the sunset"
This is beyond tragic. Fuck every cop. Every bastard burns in hell.
Here is where you can support the family

I was having me a Short Film Festival at home when I started hearing commotion outside my window. I usually don't do this (upload as soon as I shot footage) but this seemed time-sensitive.
I found out at 10pm.....it is now 11:37pm. Fake journalist.

During a traffic stop in Memphis, five police officers pulled Tyre Nichols from his car, pepper sprayed him, tased him, and beat him into critical condition.
He died after fighting for his life in the hospital for three days.
One year after his death, the Memphis City Council committee voted yesterday to replace police chief Cerelyn “CJ” Davis who was in charge of the department and the officers.
Tyre Nichols should still be here.

If the potential for property discussion during a riot worries you, might I suggest getting rid of the cops so they can’t lynch people with impunity?
Also maybe stop insisting things are better because a democrat is in power in the city/state/federal level? They’re still murdering Black men for driving, it doesn’t feel like a lesser evil to me

I beg people that if you’re going to post and share the video of the murder of Tyre Nichols please put a warning over it. I understand it’s important to show how he was brutally murdered by the police for absolutely no reason and if you want to watch it/share it that’s your right but I personally can not see it. I’m in a very fragile state right now and *I* just can not handle it. Please be respectful of others in the same boat.

RIP TYRE NICHOLS
Obligatory image to humanify him (I don't think humanify is the word I'm looking for but you get the point)
Tumblr media
Was beaten by police so badly his family couldn't recognize him, they broke his neck in 3 places, and he died in the hospital 3 days later. What goes down at a traffic stop that warrants breaking a dude's neck in 3 places?
The 5 officers involved in the shooting have been fired, and people are demanding body cam footage.
Images of the police officers responsible for murdering him because um... I have questions...
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Although the officers have been fired, there's further investigation in the incident going down. Apparently 2 officers were doing the initial stop, they started beating him. The other 3 officers, when seeing what was going down, didn't stop them but instead joined in.
And that's what we mean when we say a few bad apples spoils the barrel.

CW: Anti-blackness, police brutality re: Tyre Nichols.
If you don't need to watch it don't.
I can not stress that enough.
Here's the gofundme his mom created.
As if this posting it hasn't reached its $300,000 goal so please donate if you can.
.
.
If you're curious: there is no way to justify anything. They start by aggressively ripping him out of the car and it's all downhill from there. He didn't even know what for yet.
Nothing was protocol. No charge which means they had no right to restrain him in the first place let alone anything else. They did not read his rights either. Like I said they Started by ripping him out of the car.
It was a traffic stop. He was at a red light. He was not resisting. There is no fucking way to spin that he was, I assure you.
This was a cold-blooded murder carried out by police who obviously thought they were going to get away with it. To do all that with body cams too?
This is nothing but an example of the absolute confidence that police have that the system will protect them.
And their nonchalant attitudes as they brutalize him are nothing but an example of how Often this must happen.
They weren't worried.
And that's it.
How the FUCK was Memphis PD ever going to spin this as ANYTHING but straight up murder. They couldn't. That's probably the only reason they were charged so quickly.
I only watched it because I am someone actively fighting these systems and arguing and educating and seeing ignorance and fascism first hand I need to know Exactly what I'm talking about when I do those things.
But fucking Christ.
.....and I think the worst part is knowing he ran the first chance he got and knowing he was so close to home. He was probably running home. Trying to get to safety before they could finish but they caught up to him. And then he called out to his mom.
And nobody in his own fucking neighborhood even bothered opening a door.
They are just as culpable.
