how to the ro's sleep with and without mc? thank you (:
river: without mc, river sleeps on their stomach (sometimes on their back), haphazardly sprawled across their bed. also tends to reposition and toss and turn quite a bit. they've had a few incidents where they've either woken up at the very edge of their bed or woken up on the ground with their blanket tangled around them. with mc, river is a clingy sleeper. whether they're big spoon or little spoon, they will be wrapped around mc like a vine. favourite sleep position with mc is probably spooning or any position where they're intertwined.
a romano: without mc, sleeps strictly on the right side of the bed. avid side sleeper, can never fall asleep on their back. tends to have a lot of nightmares when sleeping alone and doesn't have a good sleep schedule to begin with. with mc, would need some space (they get overheated easily and they're a bit touch averse) but would want some kind of reassurance that mc is still in bed with them. this might look like a gentle hand on mc's back, one leg hooked over theirs, etc. without being pressed right up against each other.
k hussain: without mc, k sleeps in a fetal-esque position. piles on blankets and pillows and adores being cocooned like a burrito. they always need to have a lavender misted spray on their pillows to get a good night's sleep. with mc, k usually prefers to be in an intimate position at the start of the night (spooning or cradling mc) but would ultimately prefer to sleep facing one another or facing away from one another with little to no contact. they like to maintain their independence even in bed and doesn't want to wake up sore/in discomfort.
teresa: without mc, teresa sleeps on her back with one arm near her head (close to her gun in a bedside table drawer) and the other arm at her side. she's a very light sleeper but has no trouble falling back asleep after being woken up. has a great internal alarm system that makes sure she's awake at exactly 07:00 each morning. with mc, teresa is more laid-back and not as stiff. her favourite position would probably be lying on her back with mc's head on her shoulder or chest because it makes her feel like she's protecting mc.
shadow pal: doesn't need to sleep and is also with mc nearly 24/7. favourite nighttime position is a dark corner of mc's room behind their desk. mc should not wake up in the middle of the night and look towards that corner unless they want to jump out of their skin.

Hello dear.. Please don't skip my message My name is Mohammed, from the afflicted and destroyed Gaza Strip, where life has become impossible and tragic, and where we see death and pain every moment and every day. Our children suffer from hunger, pain, deprivation and lack of medicine. The war deprived them of playing, school, and their most basic rights. They are now suffering from woes and tragedies. 😭😭 During the war, my wife gave birth to a child and I could not find any milk for him Our conditions are tragic, and we live in a shelter that lacks the minimum requirements for life and is plagued by diseases and epidemics Please help me save my children from the hell of the Gaza Strip and provide them with a decent life 😔 Your assistance, no matter how simple, is enough to ease the burden on us and help us overcome our crisis. Please sympathize with me and donate to me or contribute to sharing the campaign and spreading it widely

Somg of damned Is a Wip historical fantasy set in 19th century Italy. This game is +18 due to somewhat heavy themes, including parental abuse(The parent/child relationship will be one of the big themes, so expect a lot of trauma on that), transphobia for trans MCs, death, blood, sex and religious themes. It also contains references to demonic possession and takes some liberties with Christianity. Also it's my first wip, so criticism when the demo comes out is welcome. Furthermore, the title is provisional.
Synopsis
Italy, After the Congress of Vienna.
Growing up in a convent without parents isn't exactly the most beautiful thing in the world. However, in your small town you are well known for your talent as an exorcist, which is viewed with admiration from some, like your master, and horror from others.
It almost seems like demons run away from you very easily, especially during an exorcism the demon seemed almost scared, so when you are called together with your superior to exorcise an important person seems to be everything normal. Too bad you don't know that it's a family reunion that could throw you into a cosmic chessboard.
Setting
Customize your MC, including personality, pronouns, gender, appearance and path. You will be an altar child or do you want to give up everything to go and fight the Austrians?
Choose your demonic lineage from the nine hellish lords/ladies, each with its own character, and shape your relationship with your parent of a customizable gender.
Explore pre-unified Italy and take part in revolutionary movements (perhaps even participating in secret meetings)
Choose a partner or keep your vow of chastity.
Choose whether to remain faithful to your oath as an exorcist or screw it all up and embrace your demonic nature.
Ro (under construction)
Maria/Michele:Your best friend, you have known each other since childhood as you both grew up in a convent. Their faith in the Lord and in human goodness is very strong, but what will happen if they discover that perhaps things are not as they imagine?
Nicola/Nicoletta:Young poet and children of impoverished nobles, their father would like to marry them off to good men to return to their old splendor. Romantic option who prefers people of their gender.
Teresa/Tommaso:Child of the mayor of the city where you grew up, they grew up in luxury and also very spoiled, knowing nothing of the world and with no regard for the poor. When their parent becomes possessed by yours and they have to face reality, will they be able to change their minds?
Vincenzo/Vittoria:Practical innkeepers, they manage their family's inn together with some friends and to increase their income they sometimes host members of secret societies against the Austrians. They are not believers, but when they discover everything and the possibility of becoming rich for life, they are willing to believe.
Mumiah: A former angel of heaven, they fell after failing to protect a person and have since traveled the earth drinking like a sponge and doing small delivery jobs. It's an asexual romantic option, but it is not aromatic.

Lafda:- part 1
The things in MI camp weren't going well . The banters , pep talks, pranks which were the integral part of the camp was missing. From outside it's looking like everything is good but it wasn't.
All were practicing it was the end session, so no one noticed the absence of 2 lads. After the practice when everyone started to go inside the stadium they saw a fight was happening. It was just a verbal fight, all were pissed like you are back from practise and see the first thing happening is fight. They tried to stop that. But those two weren't even listening to them.
Ishan's pov:-
When I came back from the practice, I saw tilak and hardik Bhai fighting. Oh gawd not again. But hardik Bhai was with me how he ended up fighting him . Ohh dumb Ishu you forgot bout him. First let's stop them.
Ishan:- bhai it's enough, now stop.
Hardik:- ishan go back.
Ishan(to tilak):- Tilak leave it na bro please, all are tired and why doing this hmm.
Tilak:- Ishan step aside I ain't talking to you and why should I stop huh , this guy over here has divided the team, performs bad and blames us. Today I won't Stop and you go from here otherwise it won't be good for you.
Hardik:- Who the hell are you to say this thing and I divided the team weren't it you guys who are ganging up , and why can't you give me chance huh.
Ishan:- (holds hardik' s hands so that he can't attack tilak) bhai leave it na let's go. And Tilak calm down why causing ruckus leave it. And there is nothing to cry bout spilled milk so leave it na .
Tilak:- We are ganging up so you should have known the reason too. And ishan how can you be with this guy don't you know what he did or you are with him for benifits only and why can't you stay away from , every time you come in between the fights no one even wants you but you , do you think you are mother teresa. And tonight even you can't stop me you midget , go and be with your hardik Bhai no need to preach me.
(Ishan was hurt listening to all this , cause one year back they were happy and now all this rift. And Tilak's words weren't doing any good . In that time Hardik has pulled his hands from his grip.)
Hardik (to ishan):- do you wanna listen more , just leave and leave all this to me and I know what am doing. Just go , (pushes ishan towards the door.)
Ishan was feeling helpless and sad so he just went from there.
Now back to Hardik and tilak
Hardik(to tilak):- You ,how dare you to say all these things to him , you don't like me that's fine but saying things bout him, (saying that he pushes him like not that hard). Ofcourse I know I did the wrong thing but ain't I trying to mend the things but you guys ain't even listening. Now you know what I ain't gonna do that.
Tilak:- We don't want to make it right, like I can't even imagine how you did that ungrateful piece of shit.(pushes him harder).
So the verbal fight became real fight . Db , akash and nehal were trying to stop tilak while others were stopping hardik. But they weren't in the mood to stop the fight.
(so Tilak's friends were trying to stop him in the start too but he ain't listening so they stopped. Ishan went back cause all this was hard for him to deal with it like he has so much things to deal with it and what Tilak Said hurted him.)
Now the trio came , boom and sky stopped hardik and Rohit stopped Tilak as he wasn't listening to anyone and only Ro could stop him. So now the rift was sorted out. The trip went to their rooms
Tilak dashed out of the room , with Aakash, Nehal and DB following him behind. Cause they know it won't be wise decision to leave Tilak to be his own.
Hardik too went towards his room. He was very angry. To calm himself down he took a shower and decided to call his family, so that he can distract himself. In between Natasa asked him bout Ishan then he remembered how he pushed Ishan and he didn't even asked about him, he cursed himself for forgetting bout his kiddo. Then he heard the knock on the door. He opened the door and found Ishan who was looking like he was going somewhere, he entered inside the room.
Ishan:- bhai get ready.
Hardik:- For what.
Ishan:- We are going somewhere, now be fast.
Ishan saw Natasa was on call he started talking to her. Hardik just laughed at this and went to get ready...
Dekho criticism is allowed rudeness isn't. How is it.

could've followed my fears all the way down
Chapter 5
Chapters: 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12
“Thomas, you’re abandoning me for the greenhouse now?” Frypan jokes. “I set aside plates for you two. Harriet was going to grab you, but she said you looked like you were having a serious conversation.”
“Now, Frypan, have you ever known me to be serious?” Sonya jumps onto the counter, dodging Frypan’s playful swat. “Thomas, on the other hand, I think we have to convince him not to be.”
“Get off my counter, Miss Anti-Serious. Some of us still have work to do, you know. Jorge was looking for you, Thomas, but he’ll find you at some point.”
Jorge does have a strange way of doing that. Thomas thinks it’s a hard-earned skill. If he knows anything about Brenda, it’s that she likes to find her own way of doing things.
“Thanks, Frypan.” He manages to say before Sonya is pulling him to the fire pits. There’s not much room there this time of day, but she plops down on Harriet’s lap and he sits next to them.
“What if I had had food in my lap?” Harriet tries to look stern. “What would you have done then?”
“One, you didn’t, two, you would have moved it. That’s what you always did in the Glen.”
“I did not.”
“You did!” Rosa, one of the other Group B members, calls. “Admit it, Harriet, you’ve had it bad for Sonya for a long time.”
“I see you’ve turned against your leader. Perhaps you want to think about that.”
“Last I checked, you and Sonya lead together.” Thomas points out. H/e carefully doesn’t look at Sonya, so he doesn’t start laughing.
“Okay, stick, I see how it is.” She shoves him lightly. “You want to race again, is that it? Where’s Minho, maybe he wants in.”
“I’m here. Someone’s gotta show you all how it’s done.”
“Wait, Thomas, are you good to run?” Harriet seems to remember his sight.
“Yeah.” He blinks a few times. “The blurriness cleared up earlier. That’s a weird side effect, though. What do you think causes it?”
“No, Thomas, we’re not debating that right now.” Minho rolls his eyes. “Shank always wants to know everything about everything, I swear. He was like that in the Glade, too. Always asking questions. Newt and Alby didn’t know what to do with him.”
Thomas flinches a little when he says Newt’s name.
Minho’s not upset that he killed Newt. He said he wasn’t, and Minho wouldn’t lie about something that big. Minho hardly lies, ever.
At least, he hasn’t lied to Thomas. Thomas doesn’t have any reason not to trust him.
finish under the cut or on ao3
“How far should we go?” Rosa asks. “We can’t do it here.”
“Let them finish eating, Ro.” Harriet gestures to Thomas’s and Sonya’s plates, still mostly full. “We can decide after. None of us have anything super important this afternoon.”
“Thomas, Jorge and I wanted to talk to you.” Thomas tilts his head back to look up at Vince.
“Yeah, sure. Now?” Minho takes his plate while he stands.
“If you’d like.” Thomas shrugs. He’s just eating. It’d be nice to do with others, but he doesn’t have to.
He has a feeling he knows what they’re going to ask, anyway. Vince takes him to the back room of the common house.
“You know we fixed the Flat-Trans recently.” He nods.
“We were wondering if you’d be willing to go back through it.”
“Do we know where it opens back up yet?”
“Somewhere near where it closed.” Jorge answers.
Teresa’s body would be so close. Would it be worth it to find and dig it up, bring her back to bury her? Like so many of his friends never got to be? No, probably not. And who knows what might have gotten at it by now, anyway.
Or if anything actually survived the explosions.
“We want to do a recon mission. You’re familiar with that WCKD base.” Vince’s arms are folded, hands in fists. That’s never a good sign.
“Somewhat, yes. Mostly from half-memories and dreams. I didn’t get my memory removal reversed.” He reminds them.
This isn’t what he was expecting at all.
“It’ll be a small group, only a few people. You’ll be leading them.” Vince hesitates, looking at Jorge. Jorge just raises an eyebrow.
“It was your rule, Vince. You can explain it.”
“You can’t take any of your friends. Brenda, Minho, Gally, any of them. Jorge and I will pick who goes with you.”
“So I don’t get any say in this?” Thomas watches Vince closely, then Jorge.
“You do, hermano. You can say no, and one of us will go, or we’ll ask someone else. We just wanted to give you the option first.” Thomas remembers how he met Jorge in the Scorch. All the signs about him being the leader.
He’s stepped back. It’s not as fun as it looks, and he’s sixteen. He doesn’t want to lead. He shouldn’t have to.
So why does he want to say yes so badly?
Even worse, why does it feel like he’s already agreed?
“Let him have time to think on it.” Jorge says, already putting a hand on Thomas’s shoulder to guide him from the room. Vince just grunts.
Once they’re out of earshot, Jorge sighs. “I’d wanted to warn you before Vince got a chance to say anything. Hermano, you really don’t have to do this. Vince wouldn’t be convinced to ask anyone else first. Take the night at least to really consider this. Take the next few days, if you want. Speak with someone about it, please. It’s not something that needs to be done immediately.”
But the sooner it gets done, the sooner they’ll be able to get more resources, maybe bring more Immunes in. Many of the people here are living without electricity and running water for the first time in their lives. Going through the Flat-Trans might mean being able to get some rudimentary systems up and running again.
Jorge shakes him gently. “Are you listening to me, Thomas? Don’t decide now.” Thomas has never been good at concealing what’s going on his mind, though, and Jorge remembers him from a time Before.
“Go and race with your friends before you think yourself into this. You are not the only one who can do this.”
But Thomas can tell that Jorge knows it’s a losing battle he’s fighting now.
There’s a reason he was the Final Candidate. It was always him, it’s always going to be him.
He doesn’t race that night, sitting off to the side and cheering instead. Minho glares at him when he cheers Sonya on, but it’s worth it for the lightness it brings to his chest.
It’s much easier to ignore that he’s going to be lying to them soon enough when they’re all laughing and teasing.

ENDURING LOVE
Tumblr media Tumblr media
[Saint LeSun Convent, Forgotten Hollow 9:21 AM WST]
Mother LaKisha: The doctors have said these are her last days. It happened quickly. Last month she woke up and couldn't remember anything past the previous day. It wasn't long after that she couldn't remember anything, or how to do anything. She's bedridden and sleeps mostly. We placed an IV to help feed her.
Rowena, Queen Mother: Oh, Mother Teresa. You should have called me.
Mother LaKisha: Sister Niema did not want you to see her like that. The sisters and I have been fine. We planned for this. Your mother helped us plan for this. She is our sister! Now is your time. Be with her. Say your goodbyes.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Rowena, Queen Mother: Mommy? It's me, Ro. I'm here.
Tumblr media
Rowena, Queen Mother: I'm right here. I'm not going anywhere.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Rowena, Queen Mother: Good morning, mommy. It's me, Ro. Did you sleep okay?
Tumblr media
Rowena, Queen Mother: (crying)
Tumblr media
Sister Niema: (opens eyes)
Rowena, Queen Mother: Mommy?
Tumblr media
Sister Niema: Where's Sister?
Rowena, Queen Mother: Sister Teresa?
Sister Niema: I...I know you.
Tumblr media
Sister Niema: My Ro-Ro!
Rowena, Queen Mother: (crying) Yes! It's your 'Ro-Ro', mommy! I'm right here!
Tumblr media
Sister Niema: Do you remember?
Rowena, Queen Mother: Remember what, mom?
Sister Niema: My...My name. What's your name? Where's sister?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Mother LaKisha: "It's time to say our final goodbye."
Rowena, Queen Mother: (sobbing)
Tumblr media
Mother LaKisha: There, there. Sister Niema is finally at rest.
Rowena, Queen Mother: (somber) Yes, she is.
Mother LaKisha: She loved you beyond measure. Her finding you, after all those years thinking you died, brought her back to life. Knowing that you were alive, and had children - her grandchildren, filled her with such joy. She may have lost her memory but know how much joy and love still filled her heart.
Tumblr media
Mother LaKisha: You are part of our family. Please don't become a stranger.
Rowena, Queen Mother: I won't.
Mother LaKisha:Before you leave, Sister Niema left something for you.
Rowena, Queen Mother: Oh?
Tumblr media
Mother LaKisha: She had such a beautiful life. Even through the heartache, she endured.
Rowena, Queen Mother: She endured!

What are the ROs love languages?
(i hope you don't mind me taking some liberties with the love languages)
river: offering to casually (and sincerely) kill anyone who dares to breathe at you the wrong way, liberal usage of "idiot"/"dumbass" and "asshole", absentmindedly having some kind of physical contact with you at all times (fingers brushing your leg, elbow against your arm, foot against your own), even when speaking with someone else
a romano: determinedly avoiding eye contact with you and fiddling with their glasses, picking up your favourite treat/beverage when having scheduled meetings/marking papers with you, letting you store food in their beloved mini fridge
k hussain: begrudgingly walking you to your boarding house every time when the sun is no longer lighting the way because they "don't want to become a suspect if you get murdered", only using your first name in an intense/intimate moment, getting heated on your behalf when anyone questions your capability/intelligence
teresa: instinctively protecting your head with her hand when you're about to hit a wall or sharp edge of some kind and barely needing to look in your direction to do so, sitting down and helping you finish work/study with no complaints despite the reports she has to write, not sleeping like a statue that can wake up at any given moment and allowing you to draw her close
shadow pal: watching over you when you're sleeping (aka acting like a sleep paralysis demon in the corner of your room in case your safety is compromised), threatening to consume your essence (affectionate), slithering across walls and ceilings to scare creepy crawlies away from you

How Gene Duplication Led to the Evolution of Nectar Spurs
How Gene Duplication Led to the Evolution of Nectar Spurs https://ift.tt/0BsfxSY Tropaeolaceae flowers have a peculiar feature – a nectar spur formed by the swollen base of the floral tube, that growths on only one side of the flower. New research published in the Annals of Botany by Sebastián Martínez-Salazar and colleagues revealed that duplication of the gene TCP4 in the Tropaeolaceae lineage seems to have enabled the emergence of their unique nectar spurs. The Tropaeolaceae family of flowering plants, native to South and Central America, are distinguished for their colorful, trumpet-shaped flowers. But what makes these flowers truly unique is their nectar spur, a long, slender projection that serves as a food source for pollinators. This nectar spur forms through late expansion and outpouching of the fused base region of the perianal tube (tissues surrounding the reproductive organs). Uniquely, the spur forms on the side of the tube facing towards the inflorescence stem, known as the adaxial side. However, the genetic mechanisms behind the evolution of this spur are yet unknown.  The research team investigated the development of these spurs by tracking which genes are switched on and off throughout flower formation. Specifically, they focused on genes known to control differences between the adaxial and abaxial sides of plants, including TCP and KNOX transcription factors that regulate growth. They also tracked expression of the HISTONE H4 gene, a marker for cell division activity.  Interestingly, they discovered a TCP4 homolog that acted simultaneously with spur initiation and elongation. Even more curiously, the Tropaeolaceae seemed to have experienced a duplication of their TCP4 gene early in their evolutionary history, leaving them with two nearly identical copies called TCP4L1 and TCP4L2.   Tropaeolum longifolium. Photo: Martínez-Salazar and colleagues. Comparing the activity of these copies in the model species Tropaeolum longifolium, researchers found both are active in surface tissues of developing inflorescences and young floral buds. However, only TCP4L2 showed restricted expression to the adaxial side of the floral tube, coinciding with the first signs of spur growth.   Later on, only TCP4L2 was found within the nectar-producing spur tissue. It seems the TCP4L genes originally functioned broadly in epidermal development based on their early expression. However, after duplication, one of the copies (TCP4L2) took on the role of spur initiation and promotion. In their paper, Martínez-Salazar and colleagues say: “These results suggest that the Tropaeolaceae TCP4L2 gene copy might have acquired a role in spur initiation and nectary development after gene duplication, concordant with a neofunctionalization event.”  Expanding this work to their sister plant group Akaniaceae, which also duplicated TCP4L independently but lack spurs, will help unravel how this strange feature evolved. Uncovering the genetic mechanisms transforming simple floral tubes into nectar-bearing spurs could provide insights into the origin of floral novelty.
