Jules is the youngest of nine children and grew up in Bilbao, Spain. They were generally spoiled as a child, doted on by all of their siblings, aunts and uncles. They could never want for tutors or toys or courtiers, but it was all rather tiresome.

They would later travel the continent as a young apprentice of a new philosophy, but they were never alone; always in the company of their cousins, Vix and Maz. Jules developed a deep appreciation for the fine arts and very delicious things during this time away from home.

Jules has now perfected the balancing act, living in both worlds. They work tirelessly as a professor of Theological Witchcraft but lately they've been feeling the pull to leave the classroom and get back out into the world...

Jules is just below average height with a curvy frame [Julia], with Julian having a more stocky frame. They both have a warm, golden bronze complexion, with luscious pink lips and are quick with a teasing smile that brings out a single dimple on their right cheek.

They have wavy, dark brown hair that Julia grows out a bit, while Julian keeps it trimmed just above their shoulders. Their brown eyes are lined with impossibly long, dark lashes, and their nose slightly crooked in a way that makes them even more attractive somehow, thus why they haven't seen to repairing it.

Classic lines & silhouettes. Valentino. Black, pink, or bright colours, nothing in between. THE biggest fan of capes and statement pieces in general.

the zombie essay that no one on here asked for. i wrote this in my notes app, icl.

why do we want twd zombies over any other zombie if a zombie apocalypse were to take place in real life?

the following essay will be a list of points answering this question in the best and most clear way my mind can think of. tbh, this is literally just a dump of all my thoughts and i can’t actually remember shit so yk, if i get some parts wrong, don’t hold it against me.

first of all, let’s think of some zombie shows and movies we’ve seen. the last of us, all of us are dead, the maze runner series, sweet home, zombieland, train to busan, etc.

1. the last of us.

SUCH A GOOD GAME IT’S INSANE. i can’t wait for the show i’m gonna lose my shit. anyway. the zombies in the last of us scared the shit out of me the first time i played. they’re scary and hard to defeat because of all the stages.

stage 1, runners. they literally sprint after you. i’m sorry but no. i did NO sports in school, i sat out in every p.e. lesson, there is no way i can run from something that is literally out to get my blood. the upside to this is that they’re weak, but considering they can run, it’s not much of an upside.

stage 2, stalkers. they’re blind and and hide in places and wait to jump out at you and tear you apart. as if the running wasn’t bad enough, these guys literally wait to feast on you when you least expect it.

stage 3, clickers. completely blind but can HEAR YOU. they have a load of fungi on them so it makes it harder to kill them. i don’t wanna go close to them, how the fuck do you expect me to be able to kill it when it’s hard to kill???

stage 4, bloaters. they turn into bloaters after years. tbh, i don’t wanna be in a apocalypse for years, i just wanna see if i can survive the first few months. never wanna cross paths with these guys. covered in fungal, gives them strength, hard to kill and shoot out spores which can damage you. yeah, no thanks. you have take them down with like, fire and that. i can’t do that. literally can’t.

stage 5, shamblers. they give off spores too, but the spores follow them around so you can’t get close to them meaning you would have to use a bullet but i don’t wanna use a bullet because i don’t wanna draw any more to me. you see my pickle?? also, as someone who lives in the uk, i have no idea where you can find gun stores, in fact i’ve only ever seen one in my life. all i have to fight with are bats ;), and knives. maybe a rolling pin. that’s it.

stage 6, rat king. this is more like, in game fun, but if the za were to happen like tlou, the rat king would be very much plausible after years. literally a zombie made up of loads of different zombies. you literally have to throw everything you have at it and i’m not even kidding. but yeah, hopefully this would be most unlikely.

for this point, i’d like to conclude by saying that these zombies are increasingly hard to kill. if a za happened, and it was zombies like this, i’d actually kill myself, i wouldn’t even give myself a chance. no sir. no thank you.

2. all of us are dead

obsessed with this show since the moment i watched it. there wasn’t an episode where i didn’t cry. had me sobbing every single time.

i don’t want these zombies because of the way that they turn. bones literally snapping out of place and then snapping back. neck?? arms??? legs?? back??? no thank you. it’s just creepy, and the sounds they make. just no. and then they get up and just scream and run.

they sprint. i will not be doing sprinting, that’s a no fucking go.

i would say the only upside to their changing is that you can clearly tell when they’ll change because you can literally hear their bones breaking, and i’d say that’s enough time to run or throw them out a room. also, the nosebleeds are evidence enough. i’ve watched enough korean television to know that when you get a nosebleed you can get the fuck out.

another thing i liked about aouad is the explanation they gave for the zombies. my man said that the infected person feels an extreme amount of fear and that’s why they attack. now, i may not have been paying enough attention to others, or maybe i just forgot (because i did watch all these older zombie stuff when i was really young) but that’s a sick fucking explanation bro. like, they’re so scared they attack to ensure their safety. sick. love it.

anyway, i don’t want these zombies because of how fast they are.

3. the maze runner

let me let you in on a little secret. the maze runner books were the first ever book series i read in its entirety. it was my first fucking love and i will not tolerate any slander. and i watched the movies and newt rocked my little world, forever a simp for thomas sangster. anyway.

the first book and movie have a little thing where someone who gets stung by a griever (like an enormous mechanical spider) kind of goes into a seizure and then all their veins become really vivid and they start thrashing around, and for me i think it’s a little zombie like. just like, zombie in the idea of what happens as the infection infiltrates your brain and you start to become infected.

anyway, there’s those guys, but the scorch trials is where we really get some action. i will fucking tell you right now, when i first watched the movie, jumped right out my fucking skin at the mall scene with the zombie behind the fence sort of thing. after watching it so many times tho, i realised that in the background with the zombie woman is like a teddy bear, and teresa finds a picture of a little girl with (i’m pretty sure it was) the same teddy

:( but you know, that means the girl was put in there really young and then just grew up a zombie, it’s literally so sad.

right, anyway, these zombies don’t sprint, no, they’re fucking usain bolt. on some jessica ennis type shit and i am not down for it. they run so fast, and some of them fucking talk. ‘rose took my nose i suppose’ okay?? i literally don’t fucking care just please don’t eat me???? am not here for it, never was.

will never be wanting these zombies in a za because they’re scary as shit and have no fear. nope.

4. sweet home.

i know, i know, these guys aren’t technically zombies, but i put them here because it is a zombie apocalypse type show. i don’t want these guys because the person turns into whatever they desire the most. so every person that turns is completely different, which means you have to fight a load of different, hard to defeat monsters. they can talk, which is just creepy. nearly all of them are cannibalistic, and are sensitive to sound. they don’t attack each other, in fact, there’s a part where a monster can evolve and will be protected by other monsters that haven’t evolved. these guys are completely devoid of emotion. monsters can recover from almost all injuries and some are regenerative. when they spit, it burns flesh and skin.

symptoms are a nosebleeds (and when i say nosebleed i don’t mean a lil iddy biddy one, i mean it literally gushes, it’s like an open wound, like someone’s literally split you open, there’s so much blood), fainting and hallucinations. and it’s the fucking hallucinations that turn you into a monster. you have to like, try and resist the entity but it’s hard, yk?

also, the human part of the monster is locked away in a dreamworld. imagine knowing that your friend is still in there somewhere, they just can’t get out. when all their desires are fulfilled, they literally cocoon and become an evolved being. don’t feel emotion, completely naked, and all the monsters will protect them. literally like gods to the monsters. they can also force someone to become a monster even if the person isn’t showing symptoms. just, i don’t wanna meet these guys, but at the end of the day, hyun-su is hot.

evolved humans can be killed in a human way tho, so upside??? maybe???

these guys are creepy, hard to kill and i just KNOW that i would not survive. i felt bad for the woman tho who lost her kid, she wasn’t a monster. :(( check out my edit for sweet home tho, it’s sick and totally flopped.

5. zombieland.

okay so i watched this just because i was interested in zombies and it’s more of a comedy then a proper good zombie film which is okay. i did enjoy it fr. i’d say these zombies are pretty normal and if you follow that mark zuckerberg guys rules then you have nothing to worry about

6. train to busan

again, these guys are one of the first zombies you think of. not much going on other than the basic sprinting and biting. here’s the thing tho, korean horrors are so fucking good. they’re so terrifying that just looking at those zombies gave me chills. literally every show in the world needs to amount to the type of brilliance korean television has. so fucking good.

i don’t want these guys cause they’re fast, and the closer the bite is to the brain, the quicker you turn. turning can also take a few seconds to a few minutes so i feel like it’s not enough time to run.

7. the walking dead :)))

where do i even start? first, i cannot WAIT for the last episodes. i fucking adore this show, i can’t wait to watch everyone pop off (iykwim). seriously, so good

the zombies in twd stroll. they wake up and think it’s a beautiful day for some brains, i think i’ll take a walk around, see what i find and hey, if i find anything, so be it. in all the 11 seasons of the show, the walkers only evolved once, and that was like, end of season two where you realise that it doesn’t matter how you die, you’ll turn anyway, and that everybody is infected. all of them can be killed with a wallop to the head. all you need to do is kill the brain, you can use a gun, an arrow, a knife, a machete, a bat ;), what ever the hell you want, just destroy the brain you know what i’m saying?

easiest fucking zombies. they don’t run. massive win. and the whole point of the twd was to show that actually, walkers weren’t their worst enemy, and it was in fact people. yk, what people can do, everything that we’re capable of, how the za can detrimentally effect you. we already battle with a lot of this in today’s society, in a za it would just be amplified.

twd zombies are most desirable when it comes to a real life zombie apocalypse because they don’t run, they don’t evolve, they’re easily killed, turning takes within instantly and 8 hours to a day, they can’t talk and the symptoms are easy to notice.

“I desire you. I burn for you. I can’t sleep at night for wanting you. Even when I didn’t like you, I lusted for you. It’s the most maddening, beguiling, damnable thing, but there it is.”

While she was pregnant Viridian's mother, Tabitha,  swore up and down that she was cursed. In her prophesied dreams, she saw herself in the deep belly of a cave during the Worm Moon. She was laying on a pile of bones and among them were her own, and those of her child. But she also saw herself begging any creature that might hear her calls, to grant her mercy and slay her and the babe she carried, putting an end to her curse. 

When she emerged days later, covered in blood and green ichor and carrying a silent wrapped bundle, her family and the local witching community assumed the worst. But then the raven-haired Poe let out a foundation-shaking cry and all was seemingly well. And soon after all that commotion, Tabitha was spotted back in the company of her academy coven; the very same she'd been trying so desperately to escape. The Witches she claimed had cursed her. But once she’d had Poe, she couldn't be around them enough, especially MC's mother, Keena. 

Because those that knew better knew that the two Witches shared a powerful and vicious rivalry, so whatever was bringing them together must be very important to them both. Whatever it was that had them toiling away in the dungeons below the castle's inhabitants was secret enough that it was kept from the rest of their trueblood coven. 

And so it often was that Viridian Poe was alone, or else in the company of one of the many nannies and other staff. They cried and screamed for nights, weeks, months, until they realised it was all terribly in vain. There was one kindly nanny who took pity on him, a humane named Franklin. Frank had big, ruddy cheeks and white-blond hair; he was quick to laugh and unlike the others, still believed that laughter and good things could be coaxed out of young but sour-faced Viridian. 

The two of them spent countless hours alone, reading or trying various instruments, countless pastimes, until Franklin was invited to a Demonhall match one evening. The sport had only been around a few decades at that point and was still struggling to find its niche. They had only recently started allowing entry to Humanes in an effort to boost ticket sales. Franklin brought Poe a flier, and they couldn't stop tracing their chubby little fingers around the cartoon for covens, so it was settled. 

And entering the Demonhall arena that night,  Viridian Poe came alive. They finally felt the magic in the world, and the same magic, running through their veins; and they felt what happened when they squeezed their little fists, and the magic pooled there until it made their fingers feel funny and they had to let go. But when they finally looked back up and rejoined the action of the game, it was just in time to witness a Witch transmuted into a small boulder. They’d just fallen in love for the very first time. 

The next time Keena and MC returned it was for a much longer stay, and the two young Witxhes were thrown together a considerable amount. MC's mother didn't insist on a nanny for the little Witxh, so Franklin often spent this time catering to both charges. So this often meant afternoons spent [REDACTED] and evenings in the [REDACTED]. Viridian didn't entirely hate their life when it looked like that. 

Mostly, Tabitha had as little to do with them as possible. She tutted in during official holidays and posed for photos, but that seemed to be the extent of her requests. Much unlike MC's mother, Tabitha wasn't knocking down the door every few months to take unknown quantities of Poe's blood. So they had that to thank their mother for, at the very least...

As always, Franklin worked tirelessly to keep their mind happy and occupied, as it was often prone to drifting towards the darker corners of the room and life. They were quickly growing up with a dark, sardonic view on life, even with their nanny's best efforts to keep the grisly at bay. They devoured books at a level and pace that was leagues ahead of most of their peers. 

From the moment Poe arrived at the assessments, it was like all of the anxiety they'd been carrying for the last decade coalesced in the pit of their stomach. They knew something was terribly off, horribly wrong. It didn't feel like they were expecting it to. Not knowing what to do, they desperately started pushing through the crowds of loud kids, looking for MC. 

They don't find MC that morning but when they eventually do, they're already congregating around a small group of kids, and Viridian knows that everything their little hearts had planned together was not meant to be. Those had been the foolish dreams of children stuck under the heels of their mothers. It was silly to think that once they were really and truly free, that those dreams would hold any stock in the real world. That was a hard day in a lifetime of hard days for little Viridian Poe, and so they hardened themselves just a little bit more. 

But as it went, Viridian was placed in Golden Hills [the Golds, isn't it swell?] which, as the name so coyly suggested, was the supreme ranked coven. But even a victory that sweet couldn't quell the anger in their young spirit. And so they recommitted themselves to knowing all that there was to know; to being the absolute best Witxh that had ever existed. Hard magics, especially spells and potions, came to them with an almost natural ease. Poe wrote to his retired nanny at least once a week, asking his advice on certain things and generally keeping him updated on their academic progress. 

For the first few years at the academy Viridian would interact with MC as little as possible, even if that meant having to accept a detention for refusing to partner with them during class. But all of that would change once they both started competing in Demonhall. And just like they'd come alive in the arena all those years ago, a part of Poe changed the first day the Golds really competed against the Silverlakers. The thrill of the game took over, and every little thing they'd meticulously read and filed away, was suddenly being called to service. It was all right there, at their fingertips and they were unstoppable!

There was suddenly an over-confident swagger, an air of bravado that swelled to the surface. What was once a sullen silence had, almost overnight, turned into a mysterious angst, and a lot of the Witxhes around campus took notice. For their part, Viridian enjoyed the feeling of being wanted and pursued; it was all very new to them but it felt right. 

In the final years at the academy Poe would join the [REDACTED] club... along with MC. And as Fate would have it, when the group took a trip to the Montreal Ossuary in their final year, Viridian and MC [REDACTED]. It changed absolutely [REDACTED] and set off a world-shaking chain of events, that ended with the Golds taking the pivotal Demonhall championship. 

Following graduation, Poe was recruited by the current defending champions, the Ocean City Sirens. They went on to win back-to-back championships for the club before retiring from the sport at 23. After that they spent a couple years leisurely traveling the world with Franklin, before finally heading off to university to study Somnosophy, the philosophy of the fabled dream realm. 

Poe favours everything Alexander McQueen, Elie Saab and pieces that exemplify New Gothic, high fashion. Lots of black & dark jewel tones, luxurious fabrics & opulence

Poe has a pale complexion with olive undertones, and enviable bone structure. They're considerably taller than average and especially loves when that's pointed out to them. They have a lean & wiry frame; their arms & legs (at the very least) are covered in a complex tapestry of tattooed runes.

Viridian has long, straight black hair that hung in curtains around their face during school. But now they tend to wear it pulled back from their face, or else in an intricate braid atop their head.

Their eyes are indeed a dark viridian green, as Poe's mother had more irony than she knew what to do with. They sometimes wear thin, gold wired glasses – but only at home (in the early morning/late night).

How do the ROs that go by their middle name (ie. Gabe and Kile) or a nickname (ie. Jessie, Curt, Gabe) feel about being addressed by their first and/or full name? Rest of the ROs can be included too, but I find that people who choose how to be addressed tend to have pretty strong opinions on this, so I’m curious where they would fall on that spectrum specifically :)

Gabe will tell you nicely not to call him by his first name the first time you do it. It's a steady escalation from annoyed looks to death glares if you ignore that. Gabriel's fine but he does not go by his first name.

Kile likes their first name, they just prefer going by their middle name in Emerson. It was given to them by their adoptive moms, then Kile came up with the nickname for it.

Jack only goes by his first name because it's what everyone's always called him! Only his grandmother calls him John on occasion 😆

Jessie's fine with Jessica! She goes by both.

Rain legit only goes by the anglicized name 'Rain' in Emerson; it's their actual name Yağmur everywhere else.

Curt prefers Curtis, actually! Most people call him Curt, though, and he's never minded it.
