Lately I have been feeling insecure about my art mainly due to quality of my phone camera and lack of color. So, I decided to up my game and add colors and shadows~!

I estimate that this took me around 20 hours to do, topping the 16 it took for Embersworth. I used Tombow markers and pens here...pro tip, just skip using white gel pens and go for white dip pen ink, it doesnt smear color around lol.

Robodino is officially the cutest Supermansion villain

Volume Three. Considering there’s thirty currently established volumes, and many more to come in the future, I havea ways to go if I even want to catch up to where the anime is. Ah well.

To start off with, we have the cover of volume 3.

My first thought on this is ‘why does Shigaraki have the damn sharingan?’ because seriously. Look at it. It’s glowing and has the black ring in it. Can you imagine Shigi with a sharingan? I’d be rightly concerned and terrified.

Also, it seems Katsuki gets to be the face on the spine of the book this go around, which makes sense since he’s izuku’s rival and deuteragonist of the whole ass series.

As for those shown on the page itself, it’s important to note that these are the four main players to come for the rest of the USJ arc - all four of them go into the fight to help All Might from being killed by the Nomu and Kurogiri and Shigaraki. Considering this volume also goes into the sports festival, seeing Shouto in his old costume sort of starts leading him into the narrative.

Oh, what fools we were when we were younger and ignorant of the hit drama Hori was about to share with us over the next 300 chapters, “Keeping Up With The Todorokis.”

Izuku himself is front and center, with Shigaraki looming larger than life behind and over him in the background. Another nod to him growing to become a huge issue in Izuku’s life - and indirectly all the rest of their lives as well. It also seems like he’s leaping away from the others, perhaps an early show of his protective nature wanting to keep others from getting hurt trying to help him?

Anyways, since that’s all I can really get from the cover, let’s move on to the author’s blurb.

After that is the credits page, and then the volume cover page.

Izuku is, in fact, controlling a machanical dinosaur. Or maybe a mecha-chocobo? I am just. This is the first time I am EVER seeing this robot fellow anywhere, and I am Disgusted that no one has once ever brought this fellow up in fanart or fanfiction.

Please, let him and Mei have fun messing with a mecha-ride. Please. I need this. I crave this.

Well, now that I have a new discord profile pic, I suppose we should move on from here. And what we have next is a character sheet and some general blurbs!

Of the characters that do get blurbs, we get the following:

Aizawa is class 1a’s homeroom teacher.

Katsuki is Izuku’s childhood friend and has a short fuse.

Ochako is Izuku’s classmate and has charmingly rosy cheeks.

All Might is the number one hero, though after recieving a near-fatal wound, the amount of time he can perform heroics has gotten shorter by the day.

and finally, Izuku’s blurb is most interesting - a boy born quirkless, who started looking up to heroes as a child when he saw a video of All Might saving people.

I wonder if he ever saw anything about heroes before that video and just hadn’t been interested before All Might, or if the All Might video was simply the first thing he saw once he was old enough to understand and care about that kind of thing.

Looks like we have nine chapters this time - 18 through 21 being the rest of the USJ arc, and 22 through 26 being the start of the Sports Festival arc.

Anyways, see y’all next time for chapter 18 proper - I’m gonna try to at least get the rest of the USJ arc done over the next week or so.

I wouldn’t say I’ve come to love Aloy yet. I do like her, and she’s baddass, but I like many other characters just as much. Maybe by the end of it I’ll love her like a child. 

Ironically: I’ve grown fond of the machines the most. THOSE BABIES I LOVE.
