Two near future robots.

Combat Robot: Running on two legs through the battlefield, this drone's lower limbs can bifurcate, creating a stable firing platform for the potent the anti-materiel rifle.

Inspection Submersible: A tethered ROV used to inspect submarine infrastructure, this model uses a fin inspired by knife-fish to move quietly through the environment without noisy propellers disturbing sea life or becoming fouled in debris.

Hey Everybody! A Comics anthology I'm in has gone to Kickstarter.

It has 19 different stories about machines by all different artists and mine is at the end. (King's Place)

I finally get to make a full color comic about how robots are bad and you should take life lessons from anime.

also opening up a few watercolor commissions to support the project

Stuff like this but a little bigger and fullbody. If anybody's interested and has some scratch it would be really cool to make this book, it's really ambitious and the other contributors are really cool.

My "Make 100 Sci-Fi Stock Illustrations" Kickstarter launched today!

I'll be drawing 100 science fiction-themed creatures, characters, props, and locations to be released as personal and commercial stock art, and this campaign is an opportunity for game designers to get everything at a deep discount before it eventually gets uploaded to DriveThruRPG! have you played/read/heard about Lancer? maybe it's my limited experience with space opera, but when reading Habitat it reminded me a bit of Lancer and the Union. I get that your whole thing is small scale stories taking place in a wider setting, but I'd be interested in knowing more about that wider setting. The Euhumans, the uploads, the robo-church in Rome (is there a robo-pope?). Are there aliens?

I HAVE heard of Lancer - I had the distinct pleasure of doing a bunch of illustrations for the first book (I think it was) back when it first came out, and frankly they are still some of my best sci-fi illustrations yet! Here, i'll post em up here:

But, I digress.

In terms of the wider setting of the Griz Grobus/Habitat universe, I'm trying to slowly expand the world so readers can form a bigger picture of everything. But I recently cooked up a sort of lore megapost, over on my patreon, which I've made open to the public.

In the post, I dig into a little bit of the background - the roots of the "euhumanist culture" that settled most of the universe, the posthumans they destest, and where the apostolic church fits into things...
