Which I think could give it a different meaning. From making all of Yuan's life about Qian to making Qian his sword and shield to face life. He bears those words like weapons to battle, like a blanket in the winter, like water in the desert, like ice in the summer and a lighthouse in a storm.

This means that Wei Qian is part of his strength. Wei Qian is part of the light.

I like the translation, but I think the original is important.

also. not to add further discourse over this jq/doja thing or whatever (because it's not my business and also i'm not twelve anymore). but as someone who survived my very intense boy band phase of the early 2010s, i can almost sense in my bones when things are pr. and while i simply do not care enough to assess the legitimacy of this relationship (again, it's not my business), i knew when that mf signed that marvel contract we were gonna see him a whole lot more "candidly" and that his relationships would be a whole lot less private.
