MASTERPOST - Round Two Polls

Welcome (back!) to round two of the MTMTE/LL story arc tournament bracket, where everyone gets to vote on/bicker about which of the story arcs in the comic is The Best For Real, Actually.

Following round one, we've matched up the winners of all those polls and pitted them against each other! As with round one, this masterpost will be the only one tagged #maccadam to avoid clogging up the main tag, so if you want to promote a particular poll you have a strong opinion on, reblog it! If you reblog a poll with a significant amount of propaganda for your fave story on it, we'll reblog it with #propaganda as the tag.

One poll in this round is between three stories rather than two because that was how the maths shook out when I divided the stories up.

The biggest percentage gap was between An Axe To Break The Ice vs Delphi.

The smallest (and by a significant margin, most voted in poll this time) was World, Shut Your Mouth vs Some Of My Best Friends Are Autobots.

Most Unhinged Dropout Cast Member Poll Bracket - Round 2!!!

Round 1 has officially wrapped up, and that can only mean one thing: time for even more polls! Thanks to everyone who has participated in my wacky li'l bracket so far, and I hope to see even more voters in the upcoming rounds! I also fully expect the decisions to only get more difficult from here, so buckle up!

Before moving on, I thought I'd share some fun stats from round 1:

The poll with the most votes in round 1 was Brian vs. Siobhan, with 1,133 votes

The contestant who received the most votes was Brennan, with approximately 1,026 votes

The most contentious poll was Siobhan (57%) vs Brian (43%)

The most unanimous poll was Lou (93.4%) vs Murph (6.6%)

The winners of this round received, on average, 80% of the votes in their polls

Also, there's just a quick thing I'd like to clarify before round 2: though I envisioned these polls as primarily judging people on their behavior in Dropout content, I understand that many of you might know some contestants from outside of Dropout, and obviously I can't expect you to ignore that when deciding how to cast your votes. Also, just in general, I have no control whatsoever about how anyone is voting in this, and as I said before round 1, the criteria you choose to judge people on are really up to you. What I do have control over, however, is what I post. So I've decided, in the interest of keeping this blog on theme, that going forward I will only post or reblog propaganda that primarily features Dropout content (if you want to throw in a little external recommendation, that's fine, but any videos, images, gifs, or specific quotes or stories should come from Dropout). Hope that clears things up a bit!

Alright folks, time to start thinking about which cast members have "senses of humor that regularly make you feel like you're going insane," (quote from @narcissistcookbook) or frequently get "that insane glint in their eye of a door that has fully lost contact with the adjacent wall" (quote from @cloudprincesslady), because it is time for round 2, baby!!!!

Welcome to the HOT AND VINTAGE MOVIE STARS bracket! we are currently voting on the HOTTEST and VINTAGEST male movie stars from 1910-1970. (we will do the ladies next.) Submissions for hot vintage men are now closed, but we are accepting propaganda for those already in the bracket.

Round 2 of the Hot & Vintage Men Tournament will be posted Saturday, January 6th, with some spillover to Sunday if needed, and will last a week. All the round 2 polls can be found and voted on under the tag #round 2. All polls—including the shadow bracket of men already removed from the main tournament, as well as additional fun mini polls—can be found in the #hotvintagepoll tag. Every poll in the Hot & Vintage Men Tournament is tagged with the hot man in it if you need to search for a hot man in particular.

Between rounds, any propaganda (photos, videos, gifs, or text) submitted for your favorite Hot Vintage Man who is in the next round may be added to the official propaganda field in the polls, giving your fave an advantage in the next round. Once rounds start, any propaganda sent in is posted as its own separate post, searchable under the hot man's tag.

FAQs:

"Where is [my favorite hot man]?" It depends. Have you checked all the polls in the tag? Have you done a tag search for him? If you still haven't found him, either nobody submitted him or he did not fit the criteria of being a movie man from 1910-1970.

"Can I still submit hot men?" No, the submission window has closed. Please do not send in men you wish had made it into the bracket. I can't do anything with those asks and they just make me sad.

"I have hot women to submit!" Amazing! Please wait to send me your ladies until I post the submission form for that bracket. Asks submitting ladies don't count—you need to wait until the submission form.

"I have additional propaganda for the hot men!" Great! Send me an ask or reblog the poll and add your propaganda to it. I don't have time to read all the propaganda but I boost what I can.

If you're submitting propaganda for your hot man, I don't accept propaganda that's from beyond the end of this tournament's era (ie don't send me pics of them in the 70s onwards).

I don't post or boost negative propaganda about any hot man. If you really hate that a certain hot man is winning, send me positive propaganda for their hot opponent. If you think a hot man shouldn't even be included in the bracket because of scummy things they did in their lifetime, please read my take on it here.

If I see repetitive, trolling, and/or bigoted remarks in the comments, I may block you from this bracket. If you want to point out a hot man's flaws or misdemeanors, that's fine, but if I see consistent bad-faith trolling, you will be blocked.

Wymack watches as Andrew crosses the lawn. It was the second fastest that Wymack had ever seen his goalie move, the fastest was still at the Championship match during Neil’s first year.

He watches as Andrew collides with Neil like a freight train though Wymack doubts a freight train has ever clung to someone the way Andrew clings to Neil in that moment. He doubts even further that someone would cling to a freight train the way Neil clings right back.

He sees Andrew’s hand in Neil’s brown hair.

He sees Neil’s shaking hands cling to Andrew’s shirt.

He sees Andrew press his face into Neil’s neck and take a deep breath.

He sees Neil’s knees start to buckle.

They slide down to their knees together.

“What in the world is going on?” Wymack looks over and sees Coach Hernandez coming out of his house. Wymack makes his way over.

“My Goalie knows Neil.” He says and Coach Hernandez gives him a look.

“No shit.” Coach Hernandez says with a roll of his eyes as he looks at the reunion on his lawn.
