I need some roxas headconons today, and I feel like it might get a little deep so bare with me:

Roxas is the kind of person that needs to have control of his own sound scape. If there are people near him talking or there’s noises outside is immediate space he doesn’t like is, so he wanders round with headphones round his neck so he can put music on that makes him feel calmer.

My boy is quiet. Like quiet quiet. Out of the four boys (Ven, Sora, vanitas and Roxas) and Xion, Roxas speaks the least. He’s happy to talk when he’s got something to say, but he’s pretty happy to just listen most of the time.

Roxas sees Lea as not just his best friend but also like his parent. He’s not a father -Roxas doesn’t think that’s the right word- but when either he or Xion need a hug, or advice, or just to sit quietly and be accepted, Axel is who they go to.

Roxas does not hate Riku. He doesn’t love the guy, but he has long since accepted that Riku had his own shit going on. They’ve talked it out and come to the conclusion that they are friends through their connection with sora and little else, and that’s okay. Roxas would land Riku a pen if he needed one but their not going to die for each other any time soon.

Sora decided Roxas is now his twin brother, and Roxas will never breath a word of how happy that makes him. The fact that sora accepts his existence was enough, but to be treated like he’s always been his own person? Warm and fuzzy.

Roxas gets frustrated quickly, and in a turn of events that suprised maybe everyone, possibly no one, Ventus is usually the one who knows just what to say to bring him back down to earth. Ven just sits with him and mourners encouragements, or helps him solve the issue and keeps Roxas level.

Being a person is complicated and messy and Roxas has ✨trauma✨, so some days are a lay in bed and cry day; others are a throw something until Lea and Isa make you stop for everyone’s safety day; and some days are a blanket burrito on the couch and disassociate day. Either way a evening call with Sora while Xion brushes his hair is usually the solution.

Don’t ask Roxas about skateboards or random twilight town trivia if you have a pressing appointment. You WILL be late. Particularly with skateboarding. The boy knows everything.

Roxas can play the bass. Or at least he’s learning to and he seems to be quite good at it. He likes it at least, and Isa seems to think it’s good therapy for him so… win-win really.

I dunno, that’s all I’ve got atm. I’m sad and feeling Roxas-y. Send help

Roxas and Xion from Kingdom Hearts vs. Tang and Pigsy (Freenoodles) from LEGO Monkie Kid

Propaganda for Roxas and Xion:

They're both incredibly important to the other, and they chose each other and the relationship they had over what was expected or "destined" for them. They're meant to narratively mirror different characters in the series that have a romantic relationship but the actual romantic beats from their story are missing in favor of just bonding in general.

Propaganda for Freenoodles:

The ways that Tang is depicted in the show make him seem very a-spec, it's not explicitly canon but multiple times he doesn't even recognize romantic advances, like in season 1 episode 4 "noodles or death" when the spider queen uses her magic to seduce tang and Pigsy, tang isn't affected at all. Pigsy being a-spec isn't alluded to in canon as much but I still think he is. Anyways the way they interact with each other is actually SO QPR I will contain how insane I am about them but the way they cuddle in season 4 episode 4 after pigsy almost cooks tang and pigsys nickname for tang is tangy because pigsys a chef 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍🌈 also also tang always tries to get free food from pigsys noodle shop that's why they're called freenoodles they're so adorable <3

You ever played the Kingdom Hearts games? I don't know if you accept selfcest on here but in KH the main character Sora gets split into multiple different versions of himself. Two of these include a soulless body named Roxas and Sora's memories stored in an artificial puppet body who chooses the name Xion and an identity of her own (and works well as a trans metaphor too). While no romance is ever fully pushed in the games, Roxas and Xion I'd say are heavily romance coded: two versions of the same being slowly bonding and going about their daily life, figuring out who they are, learning about love, and thinking about each other constantly, willing to do anything to save the other.

Selfcest is welcome and I post it on the main.

I've never played Kingdom Hearts and wasn't familiar with this ship/these ships. Roxas and Xion sound very shippy.

It's not perfect, but here's my late RokuShi Day manip. It's supposed to be a remake from a moment in the game (but I included Roxas in the "screenshot").

In the game, there's a lot of Cave of Wonders puzzle shenanigans. At one point, you find this one gem as, like, a key and Xion puts it in something to unlock the next part of the Cave.

But here it's supposed to look like Roxas doesn't want her to do that, because he's worried about what might happen if she does. And I don't entirely blame him, since the Cave can be quite temperamental at times.

Anyway, happy late RokuShi Day, everyone!

Hopefully we get a Days Remake someday!

Not only do they bond over the unique trauma of being treated as outcasts and tools for evil within the group of outcasts being used as evil tools, but their whole plot revolves around whether people "like them" can even know what love and relationships are supposed to be because they "don't have hearts like other people"
