Pov: You hooked up with cesar, while he and monse were broken up.

"I'll kill them!" Monse yelled as she stormed down the street towards the santos house, with Ruby and Jamal trailing behind her. "Monse, stop and calm down for a minute!" Ruby yelled as he quickly walked behind the curly haired girl, trying to convince her to stop. "Yeah, c'mon! Don't go messing with y/n, Do you know what sad eyes would do to us if he knew you were threatening his (brother/sister/sibling)!" Jamal added in, with a scared expression for what the santo would do to him and his friends if he were to find out. "Monse!" Yells ruby as the said girl walks up to the santos house.

"Where's y/n!" She demands spooky and a few other santos. "What do you want with my (brother/sister/sibling)." Both Jamal and ruby turned around facing the voice of the male, seeing sad eyes stare down at them with an intimidating stare. "Nothing, She was just mistaken!" Ruby says as he and jamal both grab monse and pull her away from the santos house. "Monse, please just drop it." Jamal begged as he kept looking back towards the santos house out of fear. "No, their dead." Monse says as she walks angrily down the street but immediately stops once she sees y/n walking on the opposite sidewalk, distracted on their phone. "Y/n!" *She yells getting the said person's attention as she storms across the street towards them, while ruby calls cesar. Telling him to hurry and come before it escalates. "Mm, Monse?" Y/n pockets their phone and stops walking and stares at the brunette girl with a bored expression. "Let me guess, this is about cesar?" They questioned bluntly. "Damm right." Monse replied as she stared angrily at the person in front of her. "Look mons, You and him weren't together. Cesar was free bait." They said while shrugging their shoulders "I don't know what you expected, you broke up with him. Did you think he'd wait until you wanted him back? No, he went and got with someone else." Monse goes to reply but gets interrupted as a voice yells out.

"Monse!" Cesar yells as he rushes over standing in-between monse and y/n "Monse, calm down please." Monse scoffs as she barely spares cesar a glance, as she turns her attention back to y/n. "It was a temporary break up! You kno-" She gets cut off as y/n interrupts her. "Temporary or not, You weren't together. He was single, aka free bait. So I took it, you can't really think that he would wait for you like some fairytale?" Y/n looks at cesar with an amused expression. "Does she know about you having sex with that girl at the diner?" They ask with an amused smirk, you look back at monse. "Did he tell you how he fucked her right after his shift, while you both were together?" Monse immediately snaps her head towards cesar and starts going off on him, y/n watches silently as jamal and ruby stare shocked at the new information. "Oops, was she not supposed to know?" Y/n laughs lightly, and he looks at cesar "I have to go, see you later" He winks and then walks away smirking to himself as he hears monse freaking out.

“Secrets”

Hope y’all like it! This is the prequel to “I love you maño”. Hope y’all like it!

“Don’t you dare fucking walk away when I’m talking to you!” Oscar’s voice boomed throughout the quiet neighborhood as Cesar marched past him, up the stairs to the house, ignoring the fuming Santo while also trying to blink away the tears. “Don’t you ignore me either!” Oscar followed behind him as Cesar nearly wanted to slam the door in Oscar’s face but Oscar was too fast, gripping his arm, turning him, “What the hell did she mean by that huh?” If Cesar looked up at Oscar, he would have seen how Oscar’s eyes were watery, how even if he had an angry voice, his face was soft. “Let me go!” Instead Cesar tried to fight out of Oscar’s grip which Oscar only tightened, “Cesar,” Oscar tried to reason, “let me go!” Cesar pushed him back as Oscar released him, Cesar immediately running out of the house and down the street, ignoring Oscar’s yells as he replayed the last hour in his head as he just ran into the night.

(Flashback)

“Can we all just stop arguing for once and actually enjoy the evening?” Jamal asked impatiently as Ruby groaned

“We aren’t even the ones fighting! It’s Monse, again!”

“I just love how everything always gets blamed on me.”

“Cause it’s true!” Everyone (Jasmine, Jamal, Ruby) yell back. Cesar doesn’t do anything as he stares at the ground.

“I swear Monse. If you tell him, it’s all over.” Cesar says as Monse scoffs.

“It’s been over a year Cesar. He needs to know that’s how you feel.”

“And what is he gonna do? Hm. Give me a lecture, tell me I shouldn’t think like that?”

“Look while I agree that he does deserve to know, it’s not YOUR place to tell him. It’s Cesar’s place.” Ruby interjects

“Cesar will never tell him.” Monse snaps back

“Okay but how would you telling him exactly fix the problem?” Jasmine asks and Monse doesn’t respond.

“Look he already feels bad after what happened with our dad, let’s not make it worse.” Cesar ends the conversation by walking away as the gang follows him, Monse staying close behind. The group mingles for a bit before heading to the chip and dip table. It’s when Ruby sees Monse not with them and instead talking to Oscar.

“Shit.” Ruby says as Cesar turns and sees the two before his face going pale. A second later he is practically booking it. The only problem, he had to go past Oscar to get out the backyard. He tried to walk past Oscar but Oscar ended up grabbing him by the collar.

“Going somewhere maño?”

(End Flashback)

Oscar had already called Ruby and told him what happened. Ruby had said that he will go looking and the group minus Monse agreed, with Monse leaving to go home. Ruby gave Geny Oscar’s number, incase Cesar showed up when they were gone. The group left and after maybe 15 minutes, Geny went to go turn on the porch light since it was getting partially dark when she noticed a crouched figure down the street near the stop sign. Immediately recognizing the figure she made her way towards it, sighing as she got closer.

“¿Mijo?” She asked as she heard sniffling as Cesar looks up at her.

“May I join you?” Cesar softly nods as Geny softly sits down beside Cesar as he wipes his eyes.

“Your brother called Ruby. They’re trying to look for you.” Cesar sniffles as he looks down. “Wanna talk on what happened?”

“He found a secret out.” Cesar sniffles, “One that only the group knew and I didn’t want him to know.” Cesar wipes his eyes. “When I first was kicked out, and I didn’t have anywhere to go, I was on the streets. I got it in my head, that I had no one left. I was just a waste of space. Everyone would be better off without me. Hell it was my fault Ruby got shot, Olivia died, the Prophets wanted me dead, the Santos didn’t want me, probably wanted me dead. And I wanted to die.” He begins to cry again as Geny couldn’t help but let a few tears slip. “I wanted to do it. End it all. Was going to use Chivo’s gun one night but stopped cause Ruby showed up. So I started looking at other methods.” He unconsciously rubbed his two wrists.

“Oh mijo,” she brings Cesar into a sideways tight hug as he placed his head on her shoulder and cried. He cried for maybe a few minutes before sighing, “Cesar, I probably won’t be the first person and I definitely will not be the last person to say this. But you matter mijo. You matter to everyone. To us, to your friends, and definitely your brother. Now regardless of what happened, I don’t hate you. In fact, I’ve come to think of you as another son.” Geny says as Cesar begins to cry again, “come on, let’s get you inside.” Cesar got up with Geny as they headed inside, Cesar plopping down on the table as Abuelita fixed him a plate of chips and queso. Geny grabbed her phone and excused herself to the front porch. After she closed the door, she immediately dialed the number.

Oscar was driving down the street trying to see if he spotted Cesar when he phone rang. Not recognizing the number, he contemplated ignoring it. But then remembered he only had Ruby’s number saved so it could have been anyone of the group. “Hello?” He answered, “Is this Oscar?” A female’s vice responded, “Yes?” “This is Geny, Ruby’s mom.” “Oh yes. Sorry.” “It’s okay. Ruby gave me your number. Cesar is here at the house.” Oscar did an immediate U-Turn and headed to Ruby’s house. “Is he okay?” “He’s crying and upset. He talked to me about it and now he is eating a little something.” “Okay, I’m about five minutes away.” “Okay, I’ll be outside waiting.” Geny hangs up as she texts Ruby saying Cesar was at the house and Oscar already knew. Ruby responded they were heading home.

Five minutes later, Oscar’s car pulls up to the house as he gets out. “He’s still eating.” Geny says as Oscar sighs, “Oscar, I won’t tell you what to do. But I will tell you on what not to do, and that is to lecture or drag him.” Oscar sighs as he leans against the house, “Why wouldn’t he tell me?” “Well for starters, he probably didn’t want to make you feel horrible after kicking him out and everything that happened afterwards. Then everything with your dad happened and he probably felt bad after talking smack to you.” Oscar sighed and nodded, “I’m gonna tell you what I told him. I’ve come to think of you as another son. Both of you.” Oscar looks up at her, “I would hate for y’all to hurt each other, whether intentional or not. Talk to him, but don’t be overbearing.” Geny softly smiles as Oscar slowly nods. “Thank you.” He smiles softly as the two hug each other. “Now, he’s inside eating queso.” Oscar chuckles as they go inside. Cesar stoping mid chew as he sees Oscar come inside. He shares a look with Geny who smiles softly. “Cesar,” Oscar starts as Cesar looks at him, “let’s go home.” Oscar smiles as Cesar slowly nods. “But not before you take this.” Abuelita comes out of the kitchen with two Rubbermaids. Both filled with queso, “just so you won’t fight.” Oscar takes the Rubbermaids with a smile as he thanks her and Cesar throws the plastic plate away and goes to Geny. “Thank you.” She smiles as she hugs him tightly, “Of course.” He sighs as he follows Oscar out as Oscar moves quicker than him and is putting the Rubbermaids in the car when Cesar is taking his time.

“Cesar!” He turns to see Ruby and the group walking. Cesar smiles as he goes and hugs Ruby tightly, Jamal immediately joining in along with Jasmine. “I love you compa.” Ruby says in the hug as Cesar smiles as he feels more tears falling. “I love you guys.” He says as they hug for a minute before separating, Cesar going to the car and getting in, not saying a word to Oscar. Oscar starts the car as he drives off towards their house.

Oscar pulls in and before he can even put the car in park, Cesar is out of the car heading into the house. Oscar sighs as he turns the car off and gets out, not forgetting the queso. He gets in the house to see Cesar sitting on the couch looking down, his head in his hands, shoulders shaking from sobbing. Oscar doesn’t say anything and instead first puts the queso in the fridge and then goes to sit on the couch by Cesar, who is still sobbing. Oscar doesn’t know what to do for a good minute but then he pulls in Cesar for a hug, squeezing tightly. “I’m -I’m sorry.” Cesar whispers as Oscar shakes his head. “You have nothing to apologize for.”

“But-the secret,” “was yours to tell, not hers. I was just more upset on the fact I didn’t think to check in on you, to try and figure out what went down when you were out, when I wasn’t there for you. I just thought everything was good and you were good. And that is all on me.” Oscar says as Cesar begins to cry again, “Ay maño, your gonna make yourself dehydrated.” Oscar whispers as he hugs Cesar tightly again. Cesar chuckles as he wipes his face. “Cesar, I don’t want to intrude. But she mentions scars.” Cesar stopped when Oscar mentioned that. “That bitch.” He mutters as he groans. “If you don’t wanna tell or show that’s fine. But I gotta know. How long?” Cesar stays silent, “Since that New Years.” “Shit.” Oscar mutters in response as Cesar sighs, “I’ll be right back.” He says before going up and heading into his room, leaving Oscar on the couch.

Five minutes later Cesar returns changed into a tank and shorts. He sits down by Oscar and just extends his arm out not even looking at Oscar. Oscar takes one look and is already cussing. In the crease, Cesar’s elbow is littered with cuts. “And the other one?” Cesar immediately recoiled when Oscar suggested the other arm. “C?” Oscar asked as Cesar sighed but slowly pulled his other arm to Oscar, revealing scars. And not just tiny scars, there were long thin white scars all around Cesar’s arm. “Shit.” Oscar whispered as Cesar felt himself crying again. Oscar released Cesar’s arms and just pulled Cesar into a tight hug, letting the tears he held for so long out. The two brothers just stay like that for a few minutes as Oscar calms down first and then Cesar. “Oscar, can I go to sleep?” Oscar smiles and nods. “Yeah maño.” The two get up and head to their respective rooms but not before Oscar checks the house. Before Oscar gets into his room, Cesar hugs him tightly again. “I love you mano.” Cesar says, “Love you too.” Oscar hugs Cesar back as Cesar let’s go and goes into his room, Oscar going to his. He changes into some sleep clothes and lays in bed for maybe an hour before digging and getting up. He goes to Cesar’s room and does a quiet chuckle to himself.

Cesar is sprawled out asleep on his bed, sketchbook and pencils out along with Cesar’s phone which is lighting up. Oscar sighs as he goes and puts Cesar’s phone on the charger, but not before catching a read or two on the texts, which were mostly from the group with the group chewing out Monse and then another text came in from just Ruby to Cesar, “You okay, Compa?” Oscar debated on replying since he didn’t want to invade Cesar’s privacy but he shrugged. He opened the text and did a quick reply, “It’s Oscar. Cesar is asleep.” And just for added proof, and to possibly torment his brother more, he sends a pic of Cesar sleeping to Ruby. Ruby replied with an “Okay thank you., and that is my new profile picture for him.” Oscar chuckled. He then grabbed the sketchbook and pencils and put them in their respective places. He noticed Cesar wasn’t covered so he grabbed the blanket and covered him. He turned the lamp off and made his way out quietly.

He laid in bed and quickly fell asleep again. He actually slept okay until he was woken up by the chatting of a certain group of teenagers. Surprised Cesar was still asleep, Oscar made his way to the living room to see Cesar’s friends (minus Monse), and Oso and Sad Eyes in the kitchen with Sad Eyes stopping Oso from eating the queso. “Save one for Cesar. He’d kill you if you touched both.” Oscar comes in the kitchen to already see the coffee pot on and brewing. He chuckled as he pulls out some eggs and vegetables to start making breakfast. “You kids already eat?” The three teens shake their head, “Ph so y’all knew I would feed you three?” He gets a nod in response. “Do me a favor and go wake him up.” The three get up from the couch and head to Cesar’s room, and then Oscar hears laughing and Cesar cussing in Spanish as he laughs himself. He catches Oso grabbing a chip to get some queso as he laughs. “Put that one away.” He points to the closed as Sad Eyes puts it away and Cesar comes to the kitchen, groggily. “And good morning to you.” Oscar teases as Cesar chuckles and leans his head on Oscar. “Want migas or tacos?” “Migas.” Oscar nods as he begins to cook and Cesar gets their coffee ready. Oscar kicks everyone out of the kitchen as the two Santos goes to sit down by the coach as they watch tv with the teens. He begins to cook as Ruby starts to complain about having to plan another party for the next weekend. Man, Oscar loved his newfound small, crazy, dysfunctional but lovable family.

Hey everyone. I'm new here. I actually used to write stuff on wattpad. But now I'm here. Hope you like my stuff. I didn't know what title to give so i just picked up anything.

Warning - my grammar?? English is not my mother tongue actually.

I rang the bell, holding the hot box of cookies carefully. A lady around the age of 30 I guess opened the door, "hello sweetie, how may i help you?" "Oh hi I'm (Y/N), I'm new here. I live right over there." I said pointing at my house."I thought it would be nice to get the neighbours some cookies." Just when I opened the box two kids around the age of 5 or 6 came running by. Twins, huh. "We heard cookies", they said in unison. "Can we have some, mama?" I kneeled down to be of their height. "Sure you can. But you have to tell me your names first." "I'm Luis and she is luisa." Answered the little boy. "Wow lovely names. There you go," I said handing them each a cookie. They ran off then. I stood up again. "Why dont you come in and have dinner with us, tonight? And no you won't be any trouble."

I helped Mrs. Martinez set the table up for dinner."Well (Y/N) this is my husband, Eric." I shake hands in greeting. "My mother", she said pointing to an old but jolly looking women. "You've already met the twins. And then there's Ruby, who is not here." My mouth gaped. Mrs. Martinez looked at me quizically. "Well Mrs. Martinez you look like a rather young couple to have these many kids." Mrs. Martinez blushed and smiled, obviously amazed by the compliment she got. "Oh not just ruby we even have an older son Mario, he is off to college." She said smiling. "Enough of us, (Y/N) tell us how are you here," Mr. Martinez asked. "Oh I'm actually for school here."

"Oh you look so young to be doing that. You live alone?" "Yeah my parents are back in........ . I live on my own. It's actually on rent. The school library though has hired me and I can earn quite a sum to pay it." "Oh so which school?" "Freeridge high school"

Suddenly Mrs.. Martinez got excited, "that's the chool ruby goes too. I wonder where he is, he would've loved to meet you." They filled me up on all that happened last term. I honsetly felt bad for them. Leaving the person you love is the most hirtful thing to ever happen to you.

I made my goodbyes and was about to head home when I saw him. A boy about my age, hair messy, plaster on his arm. He came into the kitchen and grabbed a bottle of water. "Ruby there's someone I would like you to meet." Mrs. Martinez introduced us. Ruby looked at me and I waved a little hi to him. A small settling smile made its way to his face.

It had been a little over a week and the Martinez had invited me over for multiple dinners. Ruby warmed up to me a little more with each of them. Tomorrow school was about to begin. I was really nervous. Mrs. Martinez had insisted that I go to school with ruby and his friends. So I did.

The next morning I walked to the martinez house. Ruby was waiting for me by the door. "Hey" he greeted with a toothy smile. "Cmon let's go." On the way we picked up his friends and he introduced me to each of his friends. The day went by smoothly. At lunch, Monse opened up to me about how happy she was to have me here and to see Ruby like his normal self again. She said that I reminded her of Olivia.

About a week later Mrs.. Martinez called me over to watch the twins. They had to go pick up Ruby's older brother mario from his college. So she left me in charge. I played with the twins all day as ruby was out with his friends doing sone stuff. I however had decided to stay back. I had put the twins to sleep just when I heard the front door open. I peeped in and saw a distresed looking ruby. He threw his bag on the couch and went to his room.

I slowly opened the door to his room. He was in his bed cuddled up like a small panda. I walked up to him and sat beside his bed. I lightly massaged his head. "Hey, talk to me." "I just want to be happy. I feel like I've lost everything. Like I'll never ever find love. I miss her so much (Y/N)." I was heartbroken at his sight. I wiped away his tears. " I know how it feels like, to lose the person and to finally realize that they're not coming back. But you know we can't blame ourselves and be miserable. Do you think they would've wanted it? Now it's on us to live not just our life but also their life. And we have to live it to the fullest and have no regrets whatsover." His cries turned into little sniffles. I pulled out a chocolate from my bag, "eat this, you'll feel better." He took the chocolate and popped it in his mouth.

"Do you maybe wanna cuddle?" His eyes were wide in shock. "Like not in a creepy way but I know that whenever I cry all I want is for a person to hug me tight so I just asked nevermind it's stupid." I said shaking my head over the nonsense I just said. "You should take some rest though." I said and stood up. "Yeah I do wanna." "What?" "I wanna cuddle, could you maybe..?" He scooted over to the wall making space for me.

I laid down beside him. "Is it fine if I keep my hand here? Im all about the consent." He said putting his hand on my waist. I nodded, lightly chuckling. "Is it fine if I...?" I asked and put my hand around his neck. He nodded. "You might wanna come closer or you'll fall down?" Ok. He pulled me close. Now he had his face hidden in my neck. I lightly kissed his forehead and closed my eyes. Though my mind was not ready to sleep. It had erupted with all these butterflies and newfound attractiveness to Ruby Martinez.

M/n had been best friends with the group ever since elementary, he had caught feelings for monse since the fifth grade but never said anything due to not wanting to ruin the friendship. He finally had the courage once they hit high school but never had the chance to tell her, One day as he went to tell her...

"Monse, can I talk to you?" Says m/n, as he runs up behind Monse as they walk the halls of their school. "Not right now, m/n. I'm busy" She replies urgently as she speed walks down the hall towards the storage closet to meet Cesar. "C'mon, please? It's important, it'll only take a minute." M/n says emotionally. "No, I can't. I'm meeting with cesar" She says as she speeds off leaving m/n alone in the hall. "Oh..right" He says as a sigh escapes his mouth. "Dammit.." he says quietly but to no one as everybody has already left the halls.

Later that day m/n and the group were all at rubys house for a hangout, Jamal and Ruby were in the kitchen arguing back and forth over whether the roller world money existed or not, and Cesar was sitting on the couch with Monse right next to him as they talk and show each other something on their phones. As m/n was sitting at the kitchen table silently watching them with a jealous look in his eyes towards Cesar. "Jamal, for the last time. The Rollerworld money isn't real!" Yells Ruby to Jamal. "It is! I'm telling you guys, it's real. It's buried somewhere here in freeridged" Jamal yells back with a matter-of-fact tone. "I agree with Jamal" m/n says as he looks away from Cesar and monse. "What?" Monse says as she looks up and at m/n. "Why? It's a stupid myth." She says catching Cesar's attention. "Yeah, c'mon hermano. It's just a silly story people told" Cesar says with an amused smirk. "It's not!" Jamal pipes up. "It's real, I'm telling you guys we gotta find it, we'll be filthy rich!" Jamal exclaimed excitedly. "Oh my god, Jamal just drop it," Ruby adds in, with an annoyed tone.

After everyone starts heading home m/n chases after monse as she walks home "monse, hey! Wait!" She stops and looks at m/n confused. "Yeah, what's up?" She stops walking facing him. "I gotta tell you something, it's really important..." he says with a slight nervous smile. "Ok, what is it?" M/n sighs nervously and smiles. "Monse, i.. I really like you, and I was wondering if you'll be my girlfriend?.." m/n says with a hopeful gaze but slowly stops smiling as monse stays silent. "Monse..?" Monse sighs and looks away. "No, m/n. I like Cesar." She says. "Oh.." m/n mutters as his smile completely drops but then he forces a smile. "ok, that's cool. I understand." He says with a forced grin. "Are you sure, I'm sorry I-" m/n cuts her off. "No it's totally good, I'm alright with that." Monse sighs and smiles. "Ok, well I gotta go. I'll see you tomorrow." She waves and walks off leaving m/n alone. "Yeah, see you tomorrow..." he says as his smile drops, he then turns around and just heads home.

“We have to call Oscar!” Jasmine’s voice sounded panicked as she took a puff from her inhaler, tears filling her eyes as Jamal and Ruby helped Cesar balanced himself off the pavement.

“She’s right Cesar.” Ruby agreed as Cesar shook his head, or he thought he shook his head, the ringing in his head made it distracting.

“He can’t know,” His voice sounded rough while his throat was dry. He put more of his weight on Jamal’s side.

“Look we can focus on telling Oscar later. Right now let’s just get him to one of our houses and clean him. Now whose house is closer?” Jamal snapped a little as Cesar felt relieved that he was holding off on telling Oscar.

“We are closer to mine. Jasmine, get my phone and call the house. Pretty sure Mama and Abuelita are at home.” Ruby said as Jasmine got the phone from Ruby’s pocket and quickly dialed the house. As she spoke to the other person, maybe Geny, Cesar was losing his footing.

“Come on Cesar, almost there.” Jamal told him as they nearly dragged Cesar to Ruby’s house. Geny had already called Jamal’s parents they were walking up when Cesar and them made the turn. Dwayne and Ruben ran and took over their son’s positions as they helped Cesar into the house as Geny gasps.

“Set him down in Ruby’s room!” Abuelita said as they set him down on the bed as she and Geny began cleaning the blood and wounds. “Has anyone called Oscar?” Geny asks as the kids shake their heads.

“He didn’t want us to.” Jasmine says as she wipes a tear, “Okay Lynn, please come help Abuelita.” Geny says as Lynn Turner goes and helps Abuelita while Geny goes to her phone and looks for Oscar’s number. She saved it after he called her one night to ask if she had seen Cesar, who ran out after the two had a huge fight. He got the number from Ruby who was looking for Cesar. Turns out, Cesar had got into the backyard and was hiding there. That’s when not only Cesar and Geny had a heart to heart but also Oscar and Geny and Geny became their surrogate mother.

Oscar had just finished replacing the filter in his car when his phone started to ring. ‘Geny Martinez’ was the caller ID as Sad Eyes and Oso who were sitting by the car shared a look with Oscar. Oscar went to the phone and answered it putting it on speaker, already praying.

“Hello?” He heard some people in the background.

“Hey um Oscar, I know your busy but can you come over please like now?”

“Is something wrong?” There was a good minute of silence

“19th Street jumped Cesar.” Oso and Sad Eyes immediately jumped up as Oscar grabbed the phone taking it off speaker and putting it to his ear.

“How bad?” He asked as Oso and Sad Eyes began cleaning the driveway so they can leave.

“He has tons of scratches and bruises. Ruby said they even slammed a bottle against him.”

“The kids were with him?”

“Yes. They held Jasmine, Jamal and Ruby at gun point and then took Cesar and beat him. Ruby says it was seven on one.” Oscar swore under his breath. 19th Street crossed lines.

“Can I talk to him?”

“Abuelita and Lynn Turner are bandaging him now. He doesn’t know I called you. He told the kids not to call you.” The guys managed to get everything cleaned up, “I’m on my way. Thank you.” They two hang up as the three guys get in the cars.

“You two talk to the kids. See which member was there.”

“Gang?”

“19th Street.” Oso began cussing out and Oscar couldn’t blame him. They pulled up to the house as Ruben and Dwayne was outside with the twins. Ruben and Dwayne each gave a nod to Oscar and the guys as they walked in. The three kids were sitting on the couch with Lynn as they saw Oscar walk in.

“He’s in Ruby’s room.” Geny says as Oscar nods as he turns to the kids, “Can y’all tell Sad Eyes and Oso which guys it was?” The kids nod as Jasmine pulled her phone out, “I got pictures.” Oso and Sad Eyes goes and looks through the photos as Oso takes pictures of the pictures. Abuelita and Lynn comes out of Ruby’s room. “He’s done and asleep. I suggest changing the bandages every few hours for now.” Just hearing that makes Oscar’s blood stop as he thanks everyone and then goes to the room to see Cesar laying on the bed with his eyes closed.

Cesar has bruises covering his face and arms along with gashes. He has his shirt off where Oscar can see a bruise covering his chest and then his stomach is bandaged. Oscar can see how Cesar’s knuckles are red, probably put up a fight. Oscar gently sits on the bed and touches Cesar’s cheek with his hand, “Maño?” Cesar asks with his eyes still closed as Oscar sighs, “Right here.” “I would have fought back but they said if I did, they shoot the others.” Cesar said as he slowly opened his eyes looking at Oscar, “Hey you did what had to be done.” “They Gonna get their asses whooped?” “You already know it.” Cesar did a small smile and Oscar wanted to ask why he didn’t want anyone to call Oscar but he decided to wait on that. “Oscar, can we go home now?” Oscar smiled, “You got it maño.” Oscar got up and then helped Cesar stand up as Cesar let out hisses and groans. They slowly made their way out as they talked a little bit with everyone as Oscar thanked everyone profusely with helping Cesar out. Geny and Abuelita demanded they take some tacos home and even gave some to Oso and Sad Eyes. Oso helped Cesar to the car as Sad Eyes and Oscar talked.

“Let’s get him home first then we can talk about what to do.” Sad Eyes nodded as everyone got it the car and headed home. Oscar helped Cesar into new clothes while throwing away the old clothes. He helped Cesar into the bed.

“Hey uh Cesar?”

“Yeah maño?”

“Why didn’t you want anyone to call me?” Cesar’s silence didn’t do any good.

“Did you think I’ll be mad at you? For not fighting back.” All Cesar does is a small nod and Oscar swears under his breath.

“Hey, look at me.”

“Im not mad at you for not fighting back. I know it was seven on one and that they had your friends at gunpoint. They crossed into our territory and then they went after you. I’m not mad at you.” Cesar nodded with a small smile. “Do you want your tacos now or after some sleep?”

“After sleep.” Oscar nodded and made sure to leave Cesar’s charging phone right near him. “I’m going to be outside. Call if you need me.” Cesar nodded as Oscar leaned down and gently kissed Cesar’s forehead, minding the gash.

“I love you, maño.” Oscar whispered as Cesar smiled as he began to fall asleep. Oscar turned the light off and closed the door mostly. He put Cesar’s tacos in the oven with a note saying that they were Cesar’s. He grabbed his tacos and went outside to see arriving Santos as Oso and Sad Eyes called them. No one messes with his brother and thinks it’s okay.

"Jamal." you said snickering as Jamal was dancing while sitting on his towel and shouting at his phone doing a Instagram Live.

Jamal stopped and he quickly went over and sat next to you on your towel.

"We have the most beautiful and good-looking Y/N over here looking like a snack in her fabulous bikini." said Jamal as he showed you and him in the camera for his live. He looked and winked at you which made you giggle.

"Hey! Stop flirting with my reina and get out of my spot." said Spooky with two drinks in both of his hands behind you and Jamal. Jamal quickly got up and went back to his towel next to Ruby.

"Spooky, was that necessary?" you asked with a smile as Spooky sat down next to you and handed over your drink. 

"Oh course it was, mami. He was over here flirting with you in front of my face." said Spooky upset, making you giggle by his little jealousy. .

"He was just doing a Instagram Live for his followers. Chill out. We've been dating since freshman year of high school. Ain't nobody going to take me away from you." you said as you caress his check while looking at him with a soft smile.

"They better not." said Spooky and both of you started to lean in to kiss.

"Ugh, I'm so sick of this."

Monse ruining the moment between you and your boyfriend, made you turn to her with a concerned face.

You turned back to Spooky that looked angry at Monse for ruining another moment between both of you. He was so close to kissing you again. 

"Spooky, how about you go into the water first? I'll be there in five minutes." you said with a smile on. Spooky nodded trying to relax from what happened, took off his shirt and started walking into the ocean.

You turned back to Monse and sigh knowing she was going through something with Cesar...again. 

"What is it today, Monse?" you asked with a warm smile on your face and Monse got up from her seat and sat down next to you.

"Cesar. He's not mad that I kiss a guy back in Brentwood. He should be furious but he isn't!" shouted Monse upset. You grab Monse's left hand with your right and start to rub your thumb on her hand to calm her down.

"Monse, you were drunk and were playing Spin The Bottle. Y'all was on a break. You can't do anything about it. you said as you look at Monse's face for sympathy and making sure she understands.

"Y/N, you don't understand. We were on a break! And he got the nerve to sleep with that hyna at his workplace!" shouted Monse at you after she stands up angrily.

"Monse-"

"No! I won't torture myself dealing with him! He cheated on me! I can't do this." said Monse and she furiously grabbed her stuff quickly and started to walk away.

You groaned as you put on your sunglasses, lay back on your towel and shook your head in disappointment. Monse was a headache to talk to. How does Cesar put up with her? 

"Y/N, where's Monse?" 

You look to see a dripping shirtless Cesar with a surfboard in his right hand looking down on you standing on top of your head on the sand.

"She's gone. You better go talk to her. She’s upset...again. Y'all need to work on your relationship. It's a headache." you explain while being annoyed. 

Cesar dropped his surfboard in the sand beside you and started to run after Monse.

You lean back up and you start to take off your cover-up to go swimming with your boyfriend, for the first time today.

"Y/N?"

You turned your head to the right to see Ruby walking up to you with a plastic bag.

"Hi Ruby. What's up?" you asked and dropped your cover-up on your towel to show your swimsuit. Ruby started to stare until he coughed to get out of his head.

"Um, I was wondering if you want to talk to me after dealing with Monse." said Ruby and you smiled.

"Sure. I'll like that." you said and you and Ruby sat down on your towel. Ruby pulled out ice cream in a cup and spoons in his plastic bag.

"Aww. you got my favorite flavor of ice cream? How do you know?" you asked with a smile as Ruby hands you the ice cream.

"How can I not forget the time you went crazy over the free ice cream at the festival last year?" said Ruby with a smile on his face, making you giggle remembering the memory.

Both of you started to talk about random stuff and favorite things. It was crazy how many things you have in common with him.

"What's going on here?"

You and Ruby turned your heads and your eyes widened by the sight. You see Spooky dripping wet and shirtless with his arms crossed against his chest and an angry face. 

Just seeing him was like a turn on to you but it completely turned off after you realized you were supposed to be in the water with him right now…forty-five minutes ago. 

"Spooky. Baby, I'm so sorry." you said as you got up and looked into his eyes, hoping he could forgive you.

Spooky looks at you and slowly looks at Ruby who was frightened by him in the moment. A moment later, Spooky starts to laugh, making you and Ruby weirdly creep out.

"Y'all was just talking right?" asked Spooky and you and Ruby both nodded in sync.

Spooky quickly picks you up and throws you over his shoulder, making you scream in horror.

"Baby, put me down!" you shouted as you started to kick and punch his back.

"You're coming with me." said Spooky and he slapped your butt, making you surprised. He quickly turned around and started to run to the ocean with you over his shoulder.

"Babe, no, no, no, no!" you shouted until you were thrown into the water. You come back above the water and see your Santo boyfriend laughing at your face.

"Oscar!" you shouted furiously. Spooky quickly swam over to you, grabbed your waist, and leaned down to your left ear.

"What did I tell you to not use my real name?" said Spooky in a deep voice in your ear and he wrapped your legs around his waist.

"You should've thought what I would say right before you threw me into the ocean." you said as you looked at him with a smirk and wrapped your arms around his neck.

"Then, you should've thought how would I react to you talking to other boys." said Spooky with a smirk.

"Oh my gosh, you're still on that?!" you said shocked by this information while Spooky nodded seriously. 

"Baby, you're the only one for me. No guy is going to take me away from you. I love you. Do you know that?" you asked as you looked into his eyes.

"I love you too. Maybe I got to put a ring on it so nobody don't talk to you again." said Spooky with a smile which surprised you.

"Wow, we're talking about that now?" you asked and he nodded.

"Yeah. Let's do it. I can't imagine myself with anybody else but you." Spooky said, making your heart melted in happiness.

Spooky brings you closer and kisses you as the waves continue to flow on. The kiss was full of love and passion. 

"Get a room!"

You and Spooky stopped kissing and looked to the shore to see Jasmine and Monse, and staring at both of you. 

"Yeah, y'all disgusting!" shouted Monse with Cesar holding her right hand.

"We will!" shouted Spooky back causing you to blush in embarrassment.

"Don't turn shy on me now, babygirl." said Spooky as he looked at you with a smirk. By his face, you quickly remove yourself from his body and start to swim away quickly.

"Where do you think you're going reina?!" shouted Oscar with a smile as he started to swim and chase after you.

"Spooky!" you shouted in horror as you try to swim away from him with happiness on your face.

"I was thinking about going to the festival too." said Cesar laying down on his towel as he was talking to Monse next to him.

"Well, if I'm going and why don't we make a plan to not make up a plan to meet up there." said Monse as she looks at him.

"Sounds like a non-plan." said Cesar with a certain face and turned away in confusion.

"Sounds like a date." said Jasmine next to Monse laying down and Monse kicked her on her arm. Jasmine kicked Monse back but on her face.

You and Spooky walked back to the group hand and hand after being in the water. 

"Looks like you two have fun." said Cesar with a smile. You blushed and turned away and Spooky kissed you on the cheek.

"Y'all adorable." said Jasmine and you smile as both of you walked down and sat down on your towel together.

You and Spooky leaned back, you came into his arms, and started to cuddle together. 

A few minutes later, Jasmine sat up and asked Monse to sunscreen her back.

Monse sat up and started to look through the beach bag Jamal brought to the beach. Jasmine has her back out to the ocean.

A kid was passing though with their mouth covered by their hand and the other on their stomach until they stopped.

A moment later, the kid threw up on Jasmine's back. Everybody in the group gets up and away from Jasmine in shock by what just happened..

"What the h*ll?! What is that?! It's so warm!" shouted Jasmine, scared as she quickly got up and tried to turn to see what's on her back.

"Oh my god! It's in the ocean!" shouted Jamal from the edge of the shore and everybody on the beach starts to get up and run away.

Spooky quickly picks you up in bridal style and races off leaving the core four and Jasmine on the beach.

"Spooky! Where are you going?!" shouted Cesar at his brother with you in his arms.

"¡Dejando! Eso nunca le pasará a mi reina." shouted Spooky. You were surprised at first but smiled at him at the thought as he quickly ran all the way to his car and slowly put you down.

"Spooky." you said as you looked at him with a smile and leaned your head to the side as you looked at him.

"Yes, my reina?" asked Spooky as he looked at you. He grabbed both of his hands and intercepted it with his.

"You didn't have to pick me up in bridal style and take me away from the little accident." you said.

"Why not? It was good practice when I'm going to carry you out after I marry you." said Spooky as he pulled you closer to him. 

"You're adorable." you said as you look up at him and he bends down to you.

"Only for you, mi amor." said Spooky with his forehead leaning towards yours and you did a sweet kiss with him that he returned back to you.

After the kiss, Spooky opens his passenger door and signals you to go in.

"Spooky, what are you doing?" you said as you walked up to him.

"Come on. Let me take you somewhere special." said Spooky and he signals his hand again for you to get inside the car.

"What about your mano and his amigos? Also my stuff is back there." you asked. Spooky pointed inside his car and you looked back at the backseat to see your bag full of your things.

"Abuela is going to get them. Now, come on my reina." said Spooky. You smiled at him and got inside the car. He shut the door once you were in.

Spooky walked over to his side and got in on the driver's side. He grabs the steering wheel with his right hand and turns his head to you and starts to stare.

A few moments later, you turn your head to see him staring at you.

"What?" you asked while looking into his eyes.

"What did I do to deserve you?" said Spooky as he stared into your eyes causing you to blush again. 

Spooky smiles, lean in, and kisses you on your left cheek. You Kiss him back on the lips which he melts into. 

After the kiss, Oscar turns back straight and then starts to drive away from the beach where you two spend the night together in happiness.

- hey! i noticed they weren’t enough Ruby fanfic on here so i decided to make my own. English isn’t my firts language so excuse the grammar mistakes -

“ I’m taking Kendra to the dance” says Jamal, your twin brother, to you and all his friends interrupting the conversation you guys were having.

You didn’t hang out often with your brother’s friends,you guys liked to have separated lifes but when he invited them over to sleep over they liked to include you.

“That crazy girl who is following you EVERYWHERE?” asked Ruby kinda surprised that Jamal would go out with a girl this weird. “What about it? That’s what real love is like,you don’t even have a valentine Martinez!”

Wich was true,Ruby didn’t have a valentine or even a date for the dance of friday. Jamal was going with Kendra,Cesar with Monse and deep done inside of your heart you were hoping Ruby would ask you to go with him. You weren’t really into him but you guys were both lonely,he was a good friend of yours and you certainly did NOT want to spend Valentine Day alone.

“I’ve plain that” says Ruby while taking out something from his pocket. “This is how i’m gonna conquer the heart of my next girlfriend” he says while holding and moving left to righ a red rose in Jamal and Cesar faces. “And who do you have in mind?” asked Cesar “Idk yet but when I find out she’s gonna fall hard in love with THE Ruben” says Ruby while slowly rubbing his chest and moving his hips on the chair. “You’re so cliche Ruben” you said while chuckling.

You couldn’t help yourself but check him out. Ruby was a big romantic,he was also very persistent,everytime he wanted something,he would work his butt out till he get it,wich you liked about him. Watching him laugh with Cesar and Jamal made you realize that....maybe Ruby could be more then a friend? You didn’t wanna admit it but you realized that... you really were in love with Ruby.

"Okay, people! Hurry in! We need to start going over this play!” shouted the English teacher, Mr. Miller in the community theater after school.

The core four and Jasmine sat down next to each other with other students in their grade along with freshmen in a circle of chairs with Mr. Miller in front to see the whole class.

"Everyone, everybody you see in this circle is part of Freeridge's first annual play, "Hamilton"!" said Mr. Miller and everybody clapped.

"This will be a little musical so some parts were based off of people who's in choir with Ms. Grande. Now, do we have our lead actress, “Eliza” here?" Mr. Miller asked.

Students start to turn and start to chatter between each other to figure it out.

The doors that enter you into the theater busted open, causing everybody to turn to them

You came in jogging tiredly with sweat coming down your face, your script in your hand, and your backpack on your back. You just came from your house because you have to buy groceries from the store instead of getting on the bus to here.

"I'm-I'm here! I'm here! I'm-"

You screamed and found yourself on the ground hurt because you tripped over your foot. Some freshmen laughed at your fall.

"Y/N!" shouted Ruby and he quickly got up from his seat and jogs up to you. You slowly get up from the ground until Ruby grabs your right hand and helps you the rest of the way up.

"Thanks, Ruby. I appreciate it." you said. looking at him with a small smile.

"No problem, Eliza." said Ruby with a grin, making you giggle a bit as you grab your script from his hand.

"Now, that both of our main leads are here, let's start reading our script, shall we?" said Mr. Miller and you and Ruby walked on the stage and sat next to each other.

"Y/N!" shouted Ruby and quickly out of your thoughts that were flowing through your mind.

"Huh?" you said with wide eyes as you looked at everyone. You just realized you were still here about an hour later.

"It's your line." said Ruby and your eyes widened again and you quickly flipped through your script to where everybody was.

"Who lives, who dies, who tells your story?." you said while acting sadly. 

"Good job, everyone! That includes practice today. We will be back here on Thursday to start setting up the scenes for the play. Everyone is free to go now." said Mr. Miller and everyone started to get up and started leaving.

You close your script hard because you were so glad you were glad for the day. You quickly got up and left out of the theater.

You took out your skateboard you have in your backpack and put it on the ground. You got on and started to roll down the sidewalk to get home until you heard your name.

You stop rolling and turn around. Your heart skipped a beat to see Ruby coming up to you with a smile with his backpack on his back.

"Let me take you home." said Ruby as he walks up to you.

"Awe, you don't have to. My house is literally around the corner." you lied, hoping Ruby would leave. You don't want Ruby to find out where you live.

"But I want to. I like you, Y/N. You're going to ignore what’s going on between us? I'm not going to act like I don't." said Ruby looking into your eyes confessing. He starts to get even closer to you but you backed away from him.

"I like you too but I'm just not in the right mindset to date right now. Too many things are going around in my life. I gotta go, bye!" you said and you quickly swipe your right foot a couple of times as you start to roll faster and away from him. 

You look back to see Ruby with a puzzled face, making your heart ache and feeling regret. As much you want him to take you home, you can't because Latrelle is your cousin and currently living with you temporarily.

You hate that he was your cousin. “He’s hiding," he says. He always brings girls over for his pleasure, smoking all over the place, and leaving trash all over the house. 

He is nothing worse than your father. An alcoholic with no job. Who's just let Latrelle with no questions about why he's hiding.

How are you still living in your house? All you. You are always working, cleaning, paying bills, while all going to high school.

You are still trying to figure out how you manage to do this while having average grades. You were glad makeup exists because you always have to put on makeup everyday to hide your dark circles from the late nights you work.

Sooner or later, you have to tell him but you haven't because Ruby is just turning back into himself. This play was a big step for him to become himself again because he loves planning and wants to make everything perfect. 

You saw how Ruby got back to himself through your eyes by doing all of these pain-relief medicines, therapy, and doing fun activities with you and the rest of the gang like regular teenagers.

You're so happy to see him grow from his experience and you don't want him to relive his memory because of you. You just can't.

You entered your house with your skateboard underneath your right arm and you saw your dad knocked out on the couch with a whole bottle of alcohol in his right hand.

You rolled your eyes and you went into your room. You screamed to see Latrelle and his girlfriend of the week making out on your bed. Disgusting.

"Latrelle! What the h*ll?!" you shouted with a disgusted face. They quickly stopped and looked at you.

"This is the fifth time this happened, Latrelle! You got your own room, do you know that?!" you shouted angrily.

"Your room is the closest. We just in the moment." said Latrelle with a smirk and leaned over to his girl. He kissed her slowly as she started to go down his body about to reach his pants. You have to stop this now!

"Hey hyna! Get the h*ll out of my room now!" you shouted furiously and the girl looked at you with a stink eye.

"Little girl, I don't think you know who you are talking to." she said as she walked over to you with a glare and her arms crossed against her chest.

"You think I'm scared of you? Ha, listen. You ain't the first girl that he invited into my house and slept over so don't think you're special, Becky. With those low-quality "extensions" y'all say when it's actually a weave." you said and the girl's jaw dropped in shock.

"Actually, my name is Maria. This is not a weave, it's my real hair. The leader's daughter of the Prophet$, the winner of the Freeridge beauty pageant, the queen of-"

"Nobody f*cking cares! Now get your bad-looking blonde weave looking a*s outta here, Becky or I'll bust a hole through your head!" you shouted angrily. 

You were mad now and you were willing to do anything illegal because of what Latrelle and your dad did today.

Maria grabs her purse from your floor and leaves the house angrily. You walked over to your bed and grabbed a shirt that wasn't yours.

"This hyna walked out in her bra." you said while looking at her shirt in her hand. You dropped it to the floor in disgust. 

"Where do you think you're going, Latrelle?" you asked seriously. You turn around to see Latrelle trying to sneak out of your room.

"What Y/N? I need to go." said Latrelle.

"Oh no! You're going to stay here and clean up this house! I have gotten food, made dinner, working multiple jobs just to keep us underneath a roof! You have done absolutely nothing but bring girls and smoke ever since you moved in here! If you're going to stay, you should do something that would help in this household!" you yelled at him.

You have enough dealing with this every single day with him and your father. It makes you feel lonely and angry because they don't do anything. You felt like a grown woman when you should be enjoying your last years of a teenager.

"No! Let me be! You're just here to give us anything we want! We own this place! You can't do anything about it because you're just a puta!" yelled Latrelle at you furiously. 

You looked at him with wide eyes as you were breathing heavily. You don't see your cousin anymore in him. You see a monster. A horrible monster ready to hurt you at any moment. Along with your father.

You felt tears coming through your eyes. You were trying not to break but it's not working at all, it was making it worse.

Latrelle grunts and walks out of the door of the house. A few moments later, you screamed furiously and tears started to flow down your tears heavily.

You fall down to the floor of your bedroom and just cry as you feel your eyes turning red. You couldn't take this no more. You try so hard to be strong but it's so hard without your mom here without you.

An hour later, you opened your eyes and you found yourself on the floor. You slowly sit up and grab your phone that was a few feet from you.

You look at the time and you see a few missed calls from Ruby. You slowly smile. It seems like Ruby is the only person right now that would call you this late at night.

A thought came into your mind and you slowly got up from the floor. You wipe your nose with a tissue and eyes as you look in your full mirror.

You see your red eyes almost returning to normal with your mascara running down your cheek. You wipe off your face and start doing small and natural makeup on your face.

You stopped to see your scars and bruises you got from your dad on your arms that are slowly healing and you felt your heart breaking again. You quickly grab your purse with your phone and leave the house.

A few minutes later, you found yourself in front of Ruby's house. You don't know why.

You slowly walked up to his door and hesitated until you rang his doorbell.

A few moments later, the door opened and my heart skipped a beat to see Ruby.

"Y/N?!" said Ruby, shocked that you were here at this hour.

"Hi Ruby." you said shyly and you look down to the ground.

"Hurry, come in," said Ruby, opening up the door wider and entering his house. He locked the door.

"What are you doing here at this hour? You know what happens after eleven?" asked Ruby, looking at you concerned and scared because he didn't want anything happening to you.

He looked into your eyes and you saw you were upset, making his eyes soften.

"Y/N...what's wrong? Did something happen? Is there someone I have to beat up?" asked Ruby and you chuckled underneath your breath.

"Ruby, you can't beat up anybody." you said as you looked at him.

"I'll become The Rock if anybody is messing with you." said Ruby and you chuckled again at his silliness. He always knows how to cheer you up without trying.

"But seriously, what's wrong. You came here this late at night. You should stay here for the night since you're here for your safety." said Ruby and he quickly went into another room in his house.

"Ruby, that's not necessary! I'm fine! I'm going to call-"

Your heart melted as Ruby came back into the living room with pillows, covers, pj's, slippers, and soft socks.

"Awe, Ruby. Wait, why are you here alone? I don't think you're completely better." you said being concerned to Ruby to ignore your situation right now.

"I'm not alone. Abuela's here but she fell asleep. My family is at a graduation ceremony for the twins for passing kindergarten up in Brentwood." said Ruby as he sat up a comfortable place for you on the main couch in the living room.

"Oh, okay. That's good. I'm proud of you. You're becoming better." you said and Ruby looks at you happily.

"Thanks Y/N. I'm glad you were here by my side all that time. I would've done the same for you." said Ruby and you felt a blush gaining on your cheeks. You look down so Ruby doesn't see them. 

"There we go. Let me take that for you. Here, sit down." said Ruby and you look backed up and walk over to the couch to sit down. Ruby took your purse out of your hand.

"I'm going to inform your dad that you're here, okay?" asked Ruby, taking your phone from your purse and going to your messages.

"No!" you shouted with a scare to your voice, causing Ruby to look at you shocked.

"Please don't tell him. I, um..." you said and you felt tears coming down your face again. Not again.

"Y/N.'' said Ruby, concerned and quickly putting your purse and phone on the coffee table in front of the couch. He sits next to you and looks at you concerned.

"Come down princesa. What's going on? Please. You're scaring me." said Ruby and tears started to fall down slowly.

You couldn't hold it in any more. Everything that has been going on for you for the last few months you held up in your mind was just all coming out in tears tonight.

You have to tell him now. Not tomorrow. Not next week. Now. There's no way to escape. You were going to lose Ruby tonight.

"Ru-ru-Ruby?" you stuttered as Ruby was wiping your tears and the light mascara on your face that was running on your face off with his mom's makeup wipes.

You look into his eyes deeply for the first time. Your heart skipped to see his eyes soft and full of concern.

You felt such a connection. Ruby was feeling it too and you have no idea. Your heart aches that you won't be able to see into his eyes again once you tell him.

"I-I-I ha-have to tell you something. Something I've been ke-keeping for m-m-months." you stuttered and Ruby's eyes slightly widened at your statement.

Ruby slowly nodded and you did a deep breath. Here we go.

You told him everything. From the jobs, Latrelle being your cousin, your alcoholic father, both of them abusing you. Every moment. 

You see Ruby's face become less and less full of expression and it just breaks your heart inside into a million pieces.

"I'm sorry. I don't know why I said all of that. I'm okay now." you said and you turn away from Ruby and face your body the other way to avoid looking at him.

Ruby didn't say anything. He was trying to process anything. He has so many emotions that he doesn't know what to express first.

He looks at you faced away and tries to figure out what to say but couldn't think of anything.

"I understand if you don't like me no more. Don't worry. I'm going to quit the play and you don't have to see me again." you said and you felt movement from Ruby.

You felt a hand connecting to your left hand and you looked down at it. You follow where that hand connects and it leads to Ruby.

Without saying a word, Ruby slowly pulls on your hand, making your body facing him. Ruby continues on pulling on your hand and puts his hand on your waist.

You look up at him again and Ruby wraps you with his arms. 

Holding you was the only thing Ruby could come up with in response to what you just told him. He was furious, upset, disappointed, disgusted and many more emotions.

He hates that all of this happened to you and nobody didn't notice it. Not even him, making him disappointed in himself.

Ruby just holds you. Tight. On the couch in his living room. Both of you didn't talk at all.

Eventually, you fall asleep and Ruby looks at you deeply and starts to stare at your face features.

He caresses your face softly as you sleep on his chest like it was a pillow. He slowly gives you a kiss on your forehead, causing you to gain a small smile during your sleep.

"I'm going to make this right, hermosa. You’ll see next morning." said Ruby as he caressed your hair with his fingers.

A few hours later, you woke up and you looked around to see you were in a whole different room. You sat up quickly but calmed down once you realized you were in Ruby's room.

You turned to the other side of the room to see Ruby was not there. You grab your phone that was next to you on the bed table and saw a post-it note on it.

"My mom called you off of school today. Got some news for you outside this room. Put on the outfit hanging on the hook of the door. Take your time, maravillosa. -Ruby"

You looked at the door and your eyes widened to see there was an actual outfit hanging on the door. You get up and you start getting ready.

You did a final layer of lip gloss and you stepped back from your outfit. You were wearing a rainbow tie-dye t-shirt with jean shorts, golden checkered vans with your hair in a high ponytail and silver jewelry.

You opened the door to exit the bedroom with your phone. You jumped to see Ruby sitting on the floor in the hallway looking at you with a grin.

"Hola hermosa." said Ruby, making you smile.

"Hi Ruby. Um...what's the good news?" you asked remembering the post-it note on your phone earlier.

Ruby gets up and grabs your hand. He pulls it making you follow him. A moment later, you saw the rest of the core four and Jasmine along with Ruby's family and Monse's dad sitting in the living room.

They all turned to you and Ruby entering with happy faces.

"What is going on?" you asked with a shy smile as you and Ruby sit next to each other on another available couch in the living room.

Jamal turns on the TV  and turns it to the news. Everybody turns their attention to the TV.

After the news came off a few minutes later, you stood up surprised.

"So, my father and Latrelle are arrested?" you asked calmly and everybody in the room quickly nodded.

"That means..."

"You're free, Y/N." said Ruby standing up and looking at you.

"Wait, really?" you asked and everybody started to cheer and celebrate. You started to cry again.

"Princesa, there's no need to cry." said Ruby as he caressed your face to wipe the small tears away. 

"These are happy tears. I just feel revived." you said happily as you looked at Ruby. You felt happy in your life right now and it was honestly scaring you a bit because life can turn this left real quick in a few seconds.

"Wait, then where am I going to live? I can't live in a house by myself. I'm sixteen." you said.

"You will be moving into my house. Monse told me what was going on and I immediately said yes because Monse needs a girl friend to talk to." said Monse's dad. 

"Thank you so much." you said happily and you quickly went over and hugged Monse and her dad.

"How did all this happen?" you asked curiously and everybody turns over to Ruby with weird grins on their faces.

"Y'all snitches." said Ruby and everybody laughed.

"Ruby..." you said softly as you went back over to him.

"Did you really do this for me?" you asked and Ruby hesitated to your question and nodded. It was true. 

"I don't know how to repay you. You're been the sweetest and supportive guy I've ever had in my life and making sure I'm okay." you said. You met every word.

"Oh course, Y/N. I handle things for you. I don't want you to go through anything like that again." said Ruby and you hugged him tight. Ruby hugged you back quickly.

"Let's go celebrate!" said Abuela and everybody cheered as they started walking out of the door leaving you and Ruby, the last two people in the house.

"Wait." you said stopping him from walking out of the door.

"What is it, Y/N?" asked Ruby, looking at you deeply. Your heart skips a beat by what you are about to say. 

"I know I keep on rejecting you multiple times for multiple reasons and I'm so sorry for that. Now that my life is better now, I was wondering if we can-"

Ruby kisses you passionately and you quickly kiss him back. You were dreaming for this moment and it was finally happening. You couldn't believe it.

Both of you ended the kiss and looked at each other with soft eyes.

"Y/N, we're together. And nobody is going to break us." said Ruby and your heart melted in happiness.

You and Ruby did a quick kiss and walked out of his house. You stayed with your knight in shiny armor forever.
