3:15 (Oscar Diaz Imagine)
Tumblr media
Summary: You're in a situationship with Oscar, not sure if you want to be official. Inspired by 3:15 by Russ. All I ever tried to do was help you understand and grow Light the way for truths that if not for me simply wouldn't show 'Less you get somebody else who's on my level, but you know That there's no one on my level, you gon' realize if you don't I wish you would own up to your flaws And just say that you're wrong when you're wrong Instead of actin' like you're right, then it turns into a fight Now you're stormin' out my house in the middle of the night “What's on your mind?” Oscar interrupted your few kisses. You were currently all over him in your bedroom, as usually. You pecked his soft lips one more time and sighed “I don't think you should do it tomorrow.” you spoke softly. Your lover's dark eyes looked at you for a few seconds before he frowned “Don't start this shit again.” The anger about the same situation started to boil within you, so you got off of Oscar and laid on your back. “What is your problem?” you spat at him. The sudden tension in the room was obvious. He suddenly sat on the edge of your bed and gave you an intimidating look over his right. “I don't think we're close enough to have this kind of conversation!” “Wow.” You didn't know how else to react. He was obviously refering to the fact that you weren't sure how to label your 'thing'. You cared, a lot. But he was part of a gang and you cared too much about other people's opinions too. “I think you should go home. ”you let out bluntly without thinking. He turned his head away from you and let out a dry laugh “You know.... I fucking might!” and stormed off. ***
How come when I love somebody, part of me don't wanna stay? Every time I get too close, I just start pushing them away I know, I know Maybe I just wanna leave before they try to leave me first Maybe I don't wanna need 'em 'til they say they need me first I know, I know (yeah, yeah, yeah) Damned if I do, damned if I don't Drank Tequila, I can't drive home Hard to play cool, heart belongs to you I know that if I show that I keep my walls up, if you want me then you better start to climb WoMen who love me aren't rare WoMen who mean it hard to find Somethin' tells me that I'm right about you Please, don't prove me wrong They say love's a song for fools We're wise enough to sing along  “Back off!” you raised your voice and pushed the guy to the side. You were frustraded, ended up at someone's houseparty, drank enough Tequila to not drive home by yourself, but not enough to forget about Os. The porch made an exceptable place to sit down for a bit and re-think your previous thoughts. You wanted him. All to yourself. So you took all your courage and dialed his number. Oscar picked up after a while, but did not say anything. You could just see the seconds of the phonecall on your screen. “Can you pick me up?” you asked carefully. You could hear him sigh into the phone. “Where are you?” *** It took about 20 minutes until you could see the familiar red car pull into the street. You slowly got up and neared yourself the sidewalk. The car came to stand right in front of you, but before you even had the chance to get in, your lover already got out. He stood right in front of you and looked deep into your eyes. “You're in my head.” you said while pointing to your temple. The alcohol was definitely kicking. His eyes softened and you felt like there was a slight smile on his lips. He took your hand in his and placed a soft kiss on it “Get in the car, Y/N. ” You continued to stare into his eyes. “I want everyone to know about us. ” His face seemed to light up a bit. He pulled you in and kissed your forehead before whispering in your ear “Get in babe, we'll talk about it tomorrow.”
But now it's hard to breathe I'm not in love, it's just a game we do I tell myself I'm not that into you But I don't wanna sleep, it's quarter after three And now it's hard to breathe I'm not in love, it's just a thing we make We're skin on skin, I need this spell to break, oh But I don't wanna go, and I know that you know You're in my head like

Chapter 3
Tumblr media
I sat on my bed that night looking at the moon through my window. Tony is a good man and he loves me and maybe I can love him, but I have doubts. Fuck. I’m such a bad person.
It's been six weeks since Oscar got out. I've been keeping myself busy by working at my sister’s beauty store and avoiding Oscar. And I’m doing a pretty good job at avoiding him, if I do say so myself. I was finally walking home after I finished helping my sister with her store when I spotted Jamal, Ruby, and Monse.
“Monse!” I shouted her name with a smile and sped up to greet them.
“Hey, when did you get back?”
“I just got back today, hey do you know why Ruby and Jamal aren’t talking to Cesar, he tells you everything cause these shitheads won’t tell me anything” She walked next to me to look at Jamal and Ruby with an eye roll. Just when I was going to answer, we heard someone blasting their music and when we turned to look, it was the familiar red impala coming down the street.
Ruby shook his head, “We can’t tell you what Cesar said.”
“Fine, then I’ll ask myself”
She walked on the street and stopped right in front of the Impala, forcing Oscar to stop the car.
“Hey, you crazy!”
I turned to Jamal and Ruby.
“What did Cesar say?” I asked. I was curious to know why Monse was so upset and why they weren’t talking to him.
“Cesar said he hit it” I gasped and turned to look at Monse leaned over talking to Oscar.
“Jamal!” Ruby yelled and Jamal quickly covered his mouth with his hand. He turned to me”, look just don’t tell Monse”
“I won’t, but you know the truth always comes out, I’ll talk to-“
“Hey Y/N! Get in the car, I’ll take you home”
I turned to look at Oscar and crossed my arms.
“No, I’m perfectly fine with walking.”
Cesar turned to look at me with desperation in his eyes. I sighed and bid my goodbyes as I got in next to Cesar.
Oscar drove me to his house and asked me to stay for a while. But I declined and told him I was gonna pass to the bathroom and get some of my stuff, although I left out the second part. I was only gone for six weeks and the house is already a mess. Ugh, men. By the time I walked out, I saw Cesar sitting on the couch and Oscar sitting behind him on a crate, with Monse standing in front of him.
“We can go inside-“ Oscar cut him off by clearing his throat “, But uh if you wanna sit on my face, you gotta put that mouth on pause so I can concentrate”
All of the Santos laughed and he fist bumped Oscar. Poor Monse had the look of humiliation on her face.
“What the fuck? You put him up to this didn’t you!”
“Hey,” Oscar stood up and tried to get in my face “,don’t start shit.”
“Fuck you Oscar”
I was beyond pissed. How dare he try to intimidate me in front of his puto friends. I wanted to release some steam by hanging out with my friends but they were on the clock so that was a no and my mom went to visit family in Mexico, so I’m in a house all by myself . You must be wondering what happened to Tony. Let’s just say he could see I wasn’t Interested and he wasn’t mad. He told me he loved me and he’d be willing to wait for me when I realize Oscar ain’t shit.
I was watching tv in the living room when I heard movement in my room. I could feel my heart start racing. I sped tip-toed into the kitchen and grabbed a knife. I stood beside my closed bedroom door and waited for whoever was in there to come out. My heart sped as the door opened and I put the knife against the throat of the perpetrator. Only it wasn’t, it was Oscar. I let out a sigh of relief.
“What the fuck Oscar? You could’ve knocked on the door”
I walked to the kitchen with him following behind me and put the knife away.
“What are you doing here?”
“Came to talk.”
“ I don’t have anything to say to you’’
“Haven’t seen you with that guy”
“What’s it to you?” I asked as I leaned on the kitchen counter. I watched as he stepped closer to me.
“I failed you a thousand times, yet you’re still mine”
He walked closer so our chests were touching, he held my chin up gently forcing me to look up at him.
“He seemed sincere unlike my flaws, but I’m the bad guy you don’t stop loving. You’re like Cinderella and he’s the pitiful fool and even though I’m not Prince Charming, I’m still the love of your life”
My eyes started to water and I tried to look down but he wouldn’t let me.
“Oscar- please”
“I love you, Y/N”
I felt a tear run down my face and Oscar leaned his forehead against mine touching my nose with his.

A Present for Oscar 🎁pt. 1- César x Reader (Siblings)
Request: None
Pronouns: None Stated
Word Count: 863
Warnings: Gun Mention at the end
Summary: Your brother Oscar is returning from jail and you get him a present against your other brother, César's judgement.
“César, come on.” You grin, pulling César into yet another department store.
“No, I don’t see why we’re doing this.” César groaned. “He’s just going to get locked up again the minute he gets out.”
A frown forms on your face, “Don’t say that. He said he’s going to do better. If you’re going to be rude you can go. You could’ve given me the money and let me go by myself.”
“No,” He muttered, opening the store door for you. “The block’s getting restless. I don’t need you wandering by yourself.”
You roll your eyes, “The block’s been restless ever since he left. Let’s just focus on the good things now. Oscar’s coming home, and we need to get him a present!”
César put on a small smile as you began to wander the store. He wondered how you could be so happy. Oscar wasn’t exactly bad but he definitely wasn’t good. He went to jail. For months it was just the two of you and some Santos. Sure, he was used to it, but while Oscar was gone, César had stayed. He had to hold you when you cried. He had to make sure that you were safe. César knew Oscar would do the same but he was never there to act on it.
Shaking his head, he looked through a selection of coats. He held up a dark blue one with large matte black buttons, “What about this one?”
“Hmm I don’t know,” You hold up some cologne, “What about this?”
“No, Oscar would want to pick out his own cologne.”
You smile, “I just can’t wait to see him. We need to hurry up if he’s coming home tomorrow. What do you think he would like the best? You know him more.”
“Ummm,” César scanned the department store. There were rows of clothes, different sections of shirts and pants. There was cologne and perfume on glass stands with models on posters near the displays. He always hated stores like this, ones that couldn’t focus on one item, but a selection of kitchen appliances caught his eye.
“He likes to cook, right?” César questioned. “We could get him some cooking supplies. Like a new knife set or something.”
“Yes!” You cheered, pulling him to the selection. “Let’s get him some knives.”
César looked at the different brands of shiny metal knives. They were almost pretty, gleaming under the fluorescent light bulbs. He knew Oscar would love some, but they were all so expensive. Only $20 sat crumbled in his pocket. When he raised his head to see which ones you were looking at he noticed you had left the section and were heading to the checkout center. An expensive knife set in your hands.
He quickly walked towards you, “What are you doing? Those are $70! We don’t have that much.”
“Don’t worry about it,” You smiled.
The lady behind the cash register scanned the set, “Anything else?
“Yes,” You point towards an apron with different vegetables printed on it, “I’ll like to get this too.”
“Alright! That will be $80, cash or card?”
“Cash if that’s okay,” You say pulling out some dollar bills from your wallet.
“Y/N, you don’t have to do this,” César muttered.
“But I want to, he’s our brother César. He’s all we have so we’re going to get him a present.” You whisper, handing the cashier the bills.
The lady handed you the bag and with a “good-bye” and the two of you walked out of the store and out of the mall. The walk home was quick and silent. César’s head was filled with worries. Who knows what could’ve happened to Oscar while he was in jail. Maybe he has a shorter temper, or maybe he wants to be left alone. Either way he was afraid for your hopes to be shattered.
While he was away he didn’t allow you to see Oscar. It was a decision that broke up the previously close bond the two of you had. You tried to convince César, but he wouldn’t let up. You didn’t know, but César didn’t want you to see Oscar liked that, but now he regrets it. Maybe it would’ve been good to see Oscar, so your hopes wouldn’t be up. Believing he was the same man as before.
Unknown to César you were scared, so scared that everything would all change once he was back. You weren’t living in a delusion, you knew Oscar wasn’t the softest person, but being without him so long made you miss him, not hate him. If Oscar came back César would relax a bit. You weren’t a little kid, but César was so worried that something would happen to you. Having your biggest brother back would fix it. Even if you didn’t get Oscar back you could possibly get César back.
This was all you thought about as you fell asleep. The knife set and apron tied nicely with a blue bow sitting on the coffee table in the living room.
The next morning César woke up before you. He sat outside on the front steps on the porch. The sky was orange with a bit of blue poking out and the sun shone on his face. A breeze flowed through the trees and he watched as the leaves rustled. He tapped his foot anxiously.
You walked outside and tossed César an apple. He looked up at you.
“You need to eat.”
César sighed and took a bite out of the apple. He rested his head on the palm of his hand.
“It’s a nice day, isn’t it?” You asked, gazing up at the sky.
“Yeah,” He chewed the apple slowly.
You sat next to César. He looked tired. “Don’t tell me you’ve been out here all night. That’s not healthy.”
“I couldn’t sleep.”
“Well, go inside and take a nap. I’ll stay out here and tell you when he’s here.”
César opened his mouth to argue, but he had been tossing and turning all night. Every time he went to sleep he would wake up minutes later. He got up, stopping to look at you. Sometimes he forgot that you were only two years younger. He went inside leaving you by yourself on the porch.
One hour passed, then two, then more and when César woke up he was met in a purely silent house. He rolled over in his bed, reaching for his phone and saw that it was long past 3, when Oscar was supposed to come home.
Getting up, he walked through the house calling for your name. César prepared for the worst. Walking to the door he lightly knocked, he thought he heard you shuffling inside.
“Y/N it’s okay. We don’t need him anyway, open the door. Please.”
César opened the door expecting to see you inside, but you were gone. Your radio played soft music on the nightstand. Your sheets were still crumbled from where you left them that morning. Your walls were lined with photos. Some with César, some with César ‘s friends and some with Oscar.
He felt his heart begin to beat, he ran through the small house, checking every room.
“Y/N where are you? Y/N it’s okay!” He checked the backyard. Red solo cups littered the grass, but you were nowhere near. The sun was beginning to set.
Running back inside he checked for a note, a text message, anything. He anxiously ran his hands through his hair, pacing back and forth. In the months since Oscar had left, you had never gone anywhere without notifying someone. Suddenly he heard someone talking outside. Low, gruff voices. He grabbed a gun, and moved towards the door.
Author's Note: Comment below what y'all want me to write! I'm having a little case of writer's block lol so I'm up for anything on my masterlist. Rewatching on my block and realizing that Mario had wasted potential. He obviously had his own tiny subplot with the whole baby thing but I genuinely think they could have done more with his character. What I really think would have been cool would be to have further explored his relationship to Oscar. You’re probably thinking “Benny they had like 2.5 scenes together, what relationship?” It’s very obvious in season 2, episode 5, that they know each other somehow. They openly talk to one another at the store counter when Mario is buying snacks and stuff for Ruby. Mario is open about what’s going on and about his concern for his little brother. Oscar asks if the snacks are for his baby mama, indicating that he knows about her. He even laughs and listens when Mario expresses his concern. Those topics of conversation are not ones that you have with strangers or even just because your siblings are friends. They know each other someway. Whether because they went to school together or because Cesar and ruby have been friends for a while. This point is also solidified later at the party when they have that drink together Oscar also doesn’t seem to have any issue about Mario being there even though we haven’t seen them hang out before this. At this point, Oscar keeps to his people and only really lets ruby come to the party because he feels responsible for the pain ruby is going through. Oscar would have said no had it been anyone else but allowed Mario to come and had no issue with him being there at all. Either way they know of each other. I think it genuinely would have been a fun avenue to explore in allowing Mario and Oscar to be childhood friends that had fallen apart due to Oscar being a Santo and having them sort of come together again as we watch the parallel of Cesar’s relationship with ruby, monse, and Jamal go through the ringer. It could have been this really cool way of showing that the kids were gonna have to grow up and it would be possible that even though you get older, things aren’t always easier or change all that much. It could have also been a reflection point for them in realizing that, despite how most teens feel, the world isn’t ending and we all go through similar shit at times. We’re all trying to get it figured out.

CHAPTER 2
Tumblr media
(I know I took quiet a minute to post this but I lost my drafts in my old phone cause it fell in water 😭 and I didn’t back anything up but it’s here it also took a while cause I don’t really like how it turned out im having major writers block so some feedback would be great ps. Thank you for the likes and reposts it means a lot to me
I couldn’t sleep all night after Cesar told me that Oscar is getting out tomorrow. I don’t know what to expect or what’s gonna happen. I cuddled up on the couch as I thought back to when Oscar and I were younger. Him and I had always known each other, not personally but my house was down the street from his, so when I would walk to school, I would walk past his house . As we got older, Oscar and I always exchanged glances but we never talked.
I had never even told my friends about the glances that we shared, he didn’t tell his friends either, it was just something between us. I can still remember when one day I saw him with those beautiful dark curls and the next day it was all gone. Or when I saw his Santos tattoo for the first time.
I always thought Oscar was attractive but I wouldn’t ever dare act on it. He was a santo and I was a goody two-shoes, I never thought he was interested in me. I was the complete opposite of the ideal girl for him in the position he was in as a santo. But he didn’t care about that. He was different. He is different.
But, I’m concerned about how Oscar getting out is gonna affect Cesar. He seemed real distant after he told me that Oscar is getting out. I’m scared about what’s gonna happen
Cesar and another santo went to pick Oscar up, I didn't want to stick around for when they would come back so I decided to go to my mom’s house.
“Mija, you can't hide here forever. You’ll have to face him eventually” my mom stated softly as she stroked my hair lovingly.
“I thought you didn’t want me anywhere near him” I stated as I turned to look at her.
“And I don’t, I told you multiple times when you were a teen not to go anywhere near him and that he was no good for you but look where we are now “
I rolled my eyes with a sigh, “ I have Tony, he’s good for me, isn’t he?”
“Well, from what you’ve told me he is but I’m your mom, I know you don’t love him”
“I don’t know how to leave him, he’s been so good to me but he’s just not-“
“He’s not Oscar “ she started cutting me, “ You’re gonna hurt him if you keep lying princess”
“I told myself I’d learn to love him and I will, it’s just taking a while”
My phone buzzed and I looked to see it was a notification from Cesar
Cesar💙: he’s out.. we’re heading back now
I turned my phone off and told my mom I was going to my room. I was gonna relax and take a nice bath and everything was gonna be fine.
I was writing in my journal when I heard a knock on my door and my mom opening the door halfway.
“Caesar is here to see you ,” she smiled softly and patted Cesar on his shoulder.
“ Hey, Cesar” I said to him as I put my notebook in my bedside drawer.
I saw his eyes looked red and I tugged his wrist to sit down on my bed.
“What happened, what’s wrong?”
“Oscar is forcing me into the gang, I don't want to Y/N..”
We both knew this was gonna happen even before Oscar got arrested.
“Do you want me to talk to him even though I really don’t want to see him but you know I’d do anything for you..”
“We both know nothing's gonna change his mind, I’m scared of him, I don’t think even you could change his mind..He asked about you, I think he wants to see you”
I rolled my eyes but I’m not gonna lie and say that didn’t warm my heart. My mom knocked on my door telling me that she was gonna do a quick run at the store and then pass by Geny’s house. My mom and her were very close practically sisters. Cesar and I talked but then he got a message from Oscar so I walked him to the door, but when I opened it, I felt my heart beat a million times more..there he was the love of my life, Oscar Diaz.
Cesar cleared his throat and started walking out “I’ll wait in the car”
The 1966 Cherry red Chevy Impala. Oscar and I share a lot of memories together in that car.
“You’re not gonna give me a welcome home hug”
I finally looked up at him.
“I’m seeing someone Oscar” I stated as I crossed my arm, and looked down. As much as I wanted to hug him and kiss him, I couldn’t.
He chuckled at this “Yea, I’ve heard, but he’s not me, you’re still mine Y/N..”
“Oscar, it’s not the same anymore”
“You can lie to yourself but we both know, you still love the way I still love you” he gently touched my chin and closed the door, leaving me to wipe away my own tears.

Soooo Anxious
Oscar Diaz x Reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It's been a really hot day the degree keeps increasing definitely because of climate change, those damn uncaring did this if only they cared more about the earth.
Good thing you are nice enough to make a Popsicles and snacks for everyone outside since they nag oscar to hang out and fix Oscar's car.
"God why is it so hot outside, I think I'm about to evaporate." Jamal squealed as he roughly swing the fan around, "Boy if you don't shut your mouth I wi-" Oscar was cutted off when you slam the door with you foot as you carry a tray of foods with both of your hands.
"Oh cesar you didn't told me you will be having your friends over." You said luckily you have more popsicles inside as you didn't include Jamal and the others on the list, "I didn't even know, they just passed by." Cesar stated receiving a smack from monse.
"Who's that?? She's so hot.." Jamal whispered as he scooted over to cesar as he eye you up and down, "I know right." Ruby popped out out of nowhere they arrived with him here but they just forgot him.
"If I were you I will not even say that." Cesar said as he catch a glimpse of his brother giving a side eye on Jamal and Ruby. He for sure knew what they said.
"Monse, Jasmine, dear I'm so happy you guys are here." you happily squealed as you walk near cesar to do a beso with monse and jasmine. Monse is like a little sister for you, you are the first person she run to everytime she has this girl problems, same goes jasmine. You are just old to be their sister, a sister that will have a girls night with them.
As for jamal and ruby they were quietly waiting for you to approach them and also do a beso on them but instead you just shook their hands, even though they are still grateful.
"Good thing i made more popsicles, wait.." As you started walking again inside as the two horny boys watch you walk with agape mouth, looking at your clothing which really fit your body. It will for sure make every man's hungry eyes full.
"Oy cesar, what this little friends of your staring for." Oscar said standing up from sitting on the small chair he own to use everytime he fix his wheels. "What who's staring, hey monse stop staring it's bad." jamal said nervously slapping over monse's arms earning a slap back from her.
"Been telling them that." cesar just shrugged walking to get a popsicle since heat have been bothering him since this morning, "You little putas better stop eye fucking my girl before i pull them out." oscar threatened as he started washing his hands so he can eat.
"Stop acting like a bitch in heat now oscar." You scolded as you handed out the popsicles on everyone, "Come on ma I'm just saying." oscar sighed in defeat.
Cesar still can't believe on how you can scold over oscar, he knows scolding on him is not a thing he would even tolerate. But look at you, you just make everything so peaceful by shutting oscar up.
"Here baby sit infront of the fan, it's been really smoking hot lately." Oscar offered quickly as he plugged the electric fan that jamal didn't even know it's there until oscar plugged it, "Thank you darling." You thanked as you touch his bicep after sitting on the chair.
"God she sound so hot, i wish she would call me that." ruby murmured as they sat comfortably infront of them watching oscar reach for a chair from God knows where and sat beside you.
"I swear this kids better stop looking at your boobs" oscar murmured as he stared back at jamal and ruby who was to focused on you, to shut oscar up from saying something about violent stuff you started feeding him with fries you made because you were craving.
"You made this? It's really good." jasmine asked as she almost choked from swallowing it all the way without even chewing it, good thing monse has a heavy hands to slap Jasmine's back.
"Yes i did, thank you.." You said it made you a bit shy but you love it when someone praises your cooking skills, "Do you want a drink monse? I heard the temperature will get higher later, you need to be hydrated." Cesar asked as he placed a hand on monse's shoulder.
"Yes please." Monse said as cesar quickly stood up to get a drink on the kitchen, "Get my queen some too" oscar commanded as you smack his face.
"You're being too cringe you know."
"Come on, i cannot care for my girl now?"
"Do you want me to tie your hair up?" Oscar asked again but this time more sincere than his sarcadm earlier, "Yes please baby, thank you." You said as your back faced oscar to tie your hair up.
It took a long time for oscar to learn on how to tie your hair so everytime it's getting hot you wouldn't even need to do an effort to tie your hair, plus oscar always carry two of your hair ties on his wrist just in case you forgot one.
After tying your hair up he kissed you shoulder like a light weight of feather which made both of you giggled like a high school teenagers as you face him, oscar used to be a not so affectionate significant others. But by the time being on a relationship with you he learned that it's very important to do, it's his favorite language of love.
He loves to touch you feel you in his hands, to hug you on a cold night, to hold you when you feel sad, to hold you and make you know that nothing can really change his love for you.
Another thing is he used his confidence to compliment you every second, to assure you, to tell you how much he loves you how much you meant to him.
"God I've never been more jealous in my life.." ruby murmured as he sadly munch on his burger.

Tumblr media
The sun is just starting to set when you arrive on the beach shore. The waves crashing against the sand and the call of seabirds fill your ears as you start your search for Oscar. It had been a few days since kicking his little brother out to the streets and of course he wasn’t doing well at all. You went to his house to check up on him as you had been doing but there was no sign of him. That brings you to the beach. This is where the oldest Díaz brother is found when things get overwhelmingly complicated, his safe space. The first thing you ever learned about Oscar is that he finds security at the beach. You spot his car before you see him further down perched against the rocks.
You know Oscar hears you walk up but he decides against looking at you, focused on the ocean breeze against his skin. Plopping down beside him you pull a lighter from your pocket and the blunt behind your ear. Lighting up you stayed silent, knowing better than to try and push Oscar into talking.
“It shouldn’t be this way. I shouldn’t have to rob my own blood of a bed to sleep in.” You know he isn’t wanting a response but you turn your head towards him to show you are listening. His brows furrowed and mouth formed into a scowl as he continued.
“Cesar isn’t made for this typa life, yet because of me he’s headed in the wrong direction. We should be somewhere living a normal life where all he has to be worried about is school and teenage hormones. We look over our backs when our biggest concern should be work or our own familia running arou-”
He stops dead in his tracks. He expects you to scrutinize him like he’s betting all his worth on the most unfeasible outcome of his future. Expects you to snap him into the reality of what’s bound to happen due to the lifestyles y’all lead. Background noise fades out and plunges him into hypotheticals jumbling around in his head.
The heat radiating onto his fingers pinching the still burning blunt shakes him out of his head. With a clear of his throat and a quick glance in your general direction, he takes a slow drag of the content and hands it off to you. “Oscar, you aren’t stupid for wanting better than the gang. Aspirations make us human
“The Santos will still be the Santos long after you are gone and when the time comes that you decide step down, we’ll pick Cesar up by his mangy scruff n move to fucking Miami.” You cackle and the dopiest smile makes its way onto Oscar’s face as he watches you ramble about him not having to leave the ocean behind.
“On some real shit tho, I wanna spend whatever I have left with yo ass.” Your words come out low and raspy, but hold a hardness that would guarantee Oscar knows you aren’t spouting drug induced whims. You ash the roach in the sand and look up. Red hazy eyes meet the mocha pools finally staring back at you.
Reaching a hand out to his nape, you pull him forward, resting your foreheads together. Your fingers find purchase running along the tattoo adorning Oscar’s neck. His shoulders noticeably relax, relieved of the tension he felt. ‘Whatever you have left’ could range from a few hours to a hefty number of years. Letting your words hang over in the air, he leans further into your touch. He relishes the fact that he has another reason to want to abandon Santos life.

AZARIA SMILED AS she drove through the county of Los Angeles to her new house. After saving all her money, she finally bought herself a cozy three-bedroom place. Also, Azaria didn't know what to expect when her friends saw her again. One thing she did know was that she couldn't be any happier to be home. As Azaria drove past the bridge of shrines dedicated to those that lost their lives, she knew she had made it to Freeridge.
Driving down the street, Azaria couldn't help but reminisce on her memories before she left. All the block parties she attended, the fights she had on the road to enjoying the sun while walking on the sidewalk. There was one person she would always kick it with, and that was Oscar Diaz. The two were inseparable. After meeting in high school, you would never no see them together.
Oscar and Azaria spent all day together the day before she left Freeridge and made love all night. She took a piece of Oscar's heart with her when she left. Azaria missed him every day and vice versa. One thing Azaria hoped to happen now that she was back was to rekindle the flame between her and Oscar. That's what she planned.
In no time, Azaria pulled up to her new house and parked in front. As she stepped out, the sun beamed down on her while staring at her greatest accomplishment. Noticing the moving truck pulling up, Azaria locked her car and greeted the movers. After exchanging greetings, Azaria unlocked the front door, and the helpers moved the furniture inside the once-empty home.
Rolling her suitcase inside her new home, Azaria thanked the helpers and locked the door behind them. She stood in the living room, not knowing what to do first. Azaria wanted to call her best friend Imani. When she grabbed her phone, the doorbell rang. A confused look appeared on Azaria's face as she went to answer it.
She saw the top of the person's head through the peephole. As she opened the door, she peeked around the door seeing none other than Jamal, Ruby, Caesar, and Monse. Jamal and  Ruby seemed to be bickering back and forth. Azaria opened the door all the way and stood there watching them.
"I know it's Zari, and you can't tell me otherwise," Jamal remarked, stomping his feet like a child.
"What if it's not her? We knocked on a random person's door, Jamal!" Ruby affirmed, shaking his head.
"Are you guys done arguing yet?" The woman questioned, leaning against the doorframe with her arms crossed.
The teens looked up, gasping as they met Azaria's eyes. "See, I fucking told you it was her." Jamal was excited to see Azaria again as he jumped up and down, clapping his hands. All she could do was shake her head.
Jamal's energy made Azaria miss him the most. That kid always brightened her day whenever they came across each other.
"What can I do for you guys?" Azaria asked, crossing her arms over her chest and cocking her hip.
"First and foremost, welcome back to Freeridge Zari," Ruby said, shoving Jamal to the side. "I see time away has made you more beautiful."
"Thank you, Ruby." The woman praised as a smirk came across her face.
"Second, I missed you," Jamal commented, walking up to Azaria to hug her. "Why did you leave me."
Ruby scoffed and shoved Jamal again, pushing him away from Azaria. As he went to wrap his arms around her, he sneakily ran his hands down to her ass, resting them there. Azaria couldn't help but smile at the young boy's antics, but she had to tell for the hundredth time.
"Ruby, sweetheart. I love you like you're my little brother, but if you don't move your hands, I'll break them in so many different places that you won't be able to masturbate again." Azaria warned, staring at Ruby, who slowly retracted his arms. "Thank you. So what are you kids up to?"
"We were going to the pool to go swimming when we saw you were moving in. Do you want to come?" Monse questioned, stepping in front of the two boys who started bickering back and forth.
"Sure, I'll see you guys there in an hour," Azaria replied, nodding her head.
"Good, we'll see you there." The young girl beamed, clapping her hands.
Azaria waved at the teens before closing the front door. She goes over to her purse, grabs her phone, and calls her closest best friend, Imani. These two had an unbreakable friendship and would ride for each other ten toes down. After a few rings, Imani answers the call.
My Other Half🌞🤍 - Didn't we get off the phone?
No, we didn't, but if you want me to find another best friend, I can do that.
My Other Half🌞🤍 - Don't get disrespectful. What's up?
Do you and Honey Buns want to meet me at the community pool?
My Other Half🌞🤍 - Yea, we'll meet you there.
Okay, see you, babe.
My Other Half🌞🤍 - Goodbye, my love.
Azaria plugged her phone and headed to the bathroom for a quick rinse. After she stepped out of the glass enclosure, she wrapped a towel around herself. Searching through her clothes, she didn’t know what to wear. Finally, Azaria decided on an orange and yellow tie-dye three-piece bikini with shorts. She grabbed her phone and car keys before heading out as her feet slid in some slides.
As she drove down the road, Azaria couldn’t wait to see her best friends, especially Samara, aka Honey Buns. Since she’s been away, Samara called Azaria every day. They'd talk on the phone from sun up to sun down. Azaria was thankful for Samara calling her and checking on her. She appreciated her friendship so much.
Arriving at the public pool, Azaria noticed Imani’s car and parked beside her. The friends stepped out of the vehicle simultaneously and screamed upon seeing each other.
“Bitch! Look at you!” Samara beamed, spreading her arms wide.
Azaria smiled and ran into her best friend's arms, smiling at her. “Oh, I miss you so much, Honey Buns.”
“Girl, I missed you too,” Samara replied, not wanting to let go of Azaria. She wanted her friend to stay in her arms forever.
“Um, excuse me. What about me?” Imani dramatically coughed, standing with her arms open.
“You know I missed you, boo.” Azaria smiled, wrapping her arms around her other friend.
“I see you’ve gotten thicker.” Imani teased, smacking Azaria on the ass.
“Hell yeah, you did. I love it.” Samara said, nodding her head in approval.
“Well, I’ve been hitting the gym while I was away.” Azaria smiled, twirling around in a circle.
“Mhm. Either that or getting some dick.” Imani remarked, smirking at her friend.
The pair stared at their friend, waiting for her to reveal the truth they wanted to hear. Azaria rolled her eyes, making the girls laugh.
“Okay, a little bit of that too. I’m not going to lie.” She laughed, shrugging her shoulders.
“I know that’s right.” Imani cheered, giving Azaria a high five.
“Well, come on. I want to get in some water. It’s hot as the devil's dick out here.” Samara replied, fanning herself with her hand.
The three friends placed their sunglasses on their faces and started walking through the gates, looking like some bad bitches.
Oscar leaned against the side of the pool, lost in his thoughts. Lately, he couldn’t keep his mind off his true love, Azaria Summers. He missed the hell out of her and wished he could see her beautiful melanin face again. Little did Oscar know his wish was going to come true. As he glanced towards the entrance gate, he suddenly felt like he had a deja vu.
He couldn’t believe the view before him; he knew he didn’t have 20/20 vision but swore his imagination was playing tricks on him. Since Azaria arrived with her friends, Oscar couldn’t tear his gaze away from her beautiful body. Something was different about Azaria. She appeared thicker than the last time he saw her five years ago.
The thought of Azaria occupied Oscar’s mind, thinking of all the times they’d shared that he didn’t hear his current armpiece calling for him until he felt a smack on the back of his bald head.
“¡Pinche perra! No pongas tus putas manos sobre mí.” Oscar cursed, turning to face his arm candy, Danica. ( “Fucking bitch! Don’t put your fucking hands on me.” )
Oscar met her last year at the strip club, where he had to handle some business, and she approached him. He thought Danica was looking good, and he needed a release. At first, it was supposed to be a one-night stand, but he couldn’t cut her loose for some reason. Danica would only be a hit and quit, but Oscar always felt lonely, but she could never fill that hole in his heart that belonged to Azaria.
“I’m sorry, bebé, but I’ve been calling you, and it’s like you’re stuck on something.” Danica apologized, rubbing the side of his stubble.
More like someone, and that someone is a person he held close to his heart, unlike the chica he’s with now.
“What is it?” Oscar asked, blocking his face from the bright sun.
“I asked if you wanted to do something special tonight.” She replied, fixing her sunglasses on her face.
“Special like what?” Oscar questioned, arching an eyebrow in confusion.
“I don’t know, maybe you, me, a bottle of Don Julio, and a bathtub,” Danica smirked, biting her glossed bottom lip.
If Oscar was honest, he didn’t want to spend any more time with Danica now that he knew the love of his life was back in town. The look on her face held a hopeful expression.
“Nah, I have the gang coming over,” Oscar remarked, shaking his head.
“But they always come over, and I never have you to myself,” Danica whined, making Oscar cringe.
The sound of her voice was like nails scraping on a chalkboard, and it honestly irritated him. “You know what you signed up for when you got with me.”
He watched her from the corner of his eye as she rolled her eyes and huffed like a child throwing a temper tantrum. Oscar knew that now his chica was back in town, he had to do whatever it took to get her back. With his back against the pool wall, Oscar gazed up at the sun after fixing his sunglasses and smiled. Now that his one true love was back in town, he couldn’t wait till he felt her soft skin. Things would finally go back to the way they were before she left.
Oscar sat in the cool water and watched Azaria from across the pool like a creep. He felt like a weirdo for doing so, but he didn’t care. Danica started getting on his nerves, complaining about the sun being too hot, making him roll his eyes.
   You should’ve stayed fucking home.
With a huff, Oscar turned to say something to his arm candy but stopped when he saw his little brother Cesar walking toward him. Oscar was glad his hermano came in time. At that time, Danica got up and walked to the bathroom, letting Oscar sigh in relief.
“Wassup, little bro?” Oscar questioned, looking at Cesar.
“I see you are staring at Zaria,” Cesar smirked, pushing his shoulder against his brother’s.
“When did she get back?” He asked, smiling at his younger sibling.
“Today. The crew and I were walking to the house and saw a moving truck. Come to find out, it was Azaria moving into Freeridge.” Cesar explained, dipping his feet into the water.
“How far does she live?” Oscar asked, nibbling the inside of his cheek.
“About a block away,” Cesar answered, swinging his feet.
“Invite her over.” The eldest brother said as a smirk appeared on his face.
“Why?” The youngest sibling asked, raising an eyebrow in confusion.
“Do it,” Oscar replied, climbing out of the pool.
When he gathered his things, Danica followed like a lost puppy behind him as they exited the gate to the parking lot. Cesar grinned and approached where Monse, Jamal, and Ruby sat near Azaria and her friends.
“Hey, are you guys doing anything tonight?” Cesar asked the three women, who raised their brows at him.
“What’s it to you?” Imani questioned, pulling down her sunglasses.
“You guys should come over. Today’s one of the homie’s birthday.” Cesar smoothly claimed, trying to be persuasive.
“What? You want us to come over?” Azaria smiled, laughing at Cesar’s antics.
“I don’t see why not, seeing as Imani and Samara are always there.” Cesar shrugged as a grin appeared on his face.
“I guess we can come over,” Samara replied, rolling her eyes.
“See you guys later.” Cesar waved at the girls as he and his group exited the pool area.
“What the fuck just happened?” Samara asked, utterly confused.
“I think we got asked out by a fourteen-year-old,” Imani replied, shaking her head as she laughed.
“Well, it looks like we have plans tonight.” Azaria laughed, checking her phone notifications.
“Bitch I know you fuckin’ lyin’.” Samara cursed, rolling her eyes.
“I wish I was.” Imani sighed, shaking her head.
Azaria laughed at her friends as Samara had a look of disbelief written on her face.
Walking to her car, Azaria smiled as she hugged Samara and Imani. “We can meet up at my house.”
“Hell, we’ll follow you there,” Samara replied, waving her hand.
“That’s fine with me.” Azaria shrugged, tossing her bag in the passenger seat.
She climbed into her car and shut the door as she stuck her keys in the ignition. Arriving at home, Azaria unlocked the front door and entered the dwelling.
“Ooo, girl, I love your new place.” Samara beamed excitedly, looking around the living room.
“Yea. It feels empty, but yet it's not.” Imani replied, nodding in agreement.
Azaria turned to her friends, arching an eyebrow at them with an amused expression, and said, “Ya’ll can get the hell out with all that negativity.” She pointed to the front door as she leaned against the plush couch.
“Miss me with that bullshit. We are just playing with you.” Imani replied, smacking her lips and waving her best friend off.
“Anyway, the guest rooms are that way. I’m going to take a shower.” Azaria explained, pointing to the opposite end of the hallway.
“See you in a minute.” Samra nodded, walking into the guest bathroom to run a shower.
Azaria entered her bathroom, turned on the shower, entered her closet, and searched the hanger for an outfit. She knew it would be warm outside, even with the sundown, since it was the middle of summer, so she knew her clothing had to have fewer sleeves. Once the water reached the perfect temperature, Azaria removed her swimsuit and stepped inside the glass enclosure. The water felt good running down Azaria’s body as she washed the chlorine and pool water off herself. After washing off, Azaria shut off the water, wrapped a towel around herself, and walked to her room.
When Azaria dried off, she moisturized her skin and dressed in Shein's sexy ripped raw hem denim shorts, Shein’s orange icon letter graphic knot front crop top, and Nike SP Syracuse dunk low sneakers. For her hair, she brushed it into a slicked-back bun with her black Burgundybay acrylic frame glasses and orange Telfar small bag. Looking in the mirror, Azaria applied clear glitter lipgloss on her lips and took a few pictures. Before she left her room, she sprayed her body mist from Bath & Body Works and closed the door behind her. Azaria waited in the living for her two friends since they loved spending their sweet time preparing for any social gathering.
Huffing through her nose, Azaria threw her head back, annoyed. “Ya’ll come on! We’re just going to see your boyfriends!”
“Girl shut up, we’re coming!” Imani yelled from inside the guest room.
“It takes time to look this good,” Samra remarked, poking her head out the door.
Upon seeing Azaria’s outfit, she gasped, saying, “Oh girl, you look good. Who’re you looking cute for?”
“Would you finish getting dressed and come one, please,” Azaria replied, rolling her eyes.
“What’re you rushing for? You wanna see Spooky that bad, huh?” Samara joked, playfully teasing her friend.
“Girl, I’m not looking cute for him or anybody else.” Azaria lied, rolling her eyes. She didn’t know what to think, knowing she would see Spooky after all these years.
“Man, miss me with that bullshit,” Samara replied, smacking her lips, retrieving back inside the room.
Don’t get her wrong, Azaria was happy yet nervous to see him again. She wondered if he was in a relationship and how he’d react when he saw her again. Did he think about her as much as she did him? Azaria didn’t know.
Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, Samara and Imani walked into the living room, dressed.
“I love your outfit. Whered you get it?” Imani questioned, checking her best friend out.
“Shein and Nike.” Azaria smiled, posing for her.
“So fucking cute.” Imani complimented, nodding in approval.
The three friends took pictures of each other for Instagram before exiting Azaria’s house and heading toward the party.

Oscar Diaz x F! reader
It felt like life went slow the moment you spotted Latrelle past Olivia and Ruby, You couldn't move, this wasn't supposed to happen, "Ruby!" You screamed, "Ruby! ruby! no no no my baby!" was the last thing you paid attention too, you stood in shock, you blinked and time still felt slow, Olivia's blood splattering everywhere and the screaming from your auntie, stumbling out of the area you couldn't quite make out the red impala speeding down the street, till Oscar was shaking you and Santos were running around looking for the shooter.
.....
{I'm picturing Oscar as 21ish and you 18 nearly 19}
You stared into the mirror at the woman before you, baggy eyes, cracked lips and tear stains, tears started swelling up at the thought of the young women you've gotten close too.
A knock rang out through your room, "Yea" You yell out staring at the door through the mirror, Oscar peeked his head in and spotted you on the floor, "Hey, tu tía,said you'd be in here" He shut the door behind him and sat on your bed staring at you, "Yea..."you turned to him and bit into your cheek, "I..That-" Oscar shook his head and slid onto the floor in front of you pulling you into him, "I should've handled it, not Cesar, I'm sorry you had to go through it" He whispered patting your hair.
You pulled away and smiled, "It's just fate" you shrugged and laid back onto him, his arms resting on his hiked up legs {can yall picture that?} he hummed and pulled you further into him, "Ill get us out one day, no more deaths, nothing" you hope so.
tu tía - your auntie, hopefully my spanish is horrible

Miss Ivy
Pairings: Oscar Diaz x black!teacher!OC, Cesar Diaz x black!teacher!OC(obvs platonic)

(he actually had no business being so fucking fine its ridiculous actually.)
The pipeline from needing to be in a relationship to being completely fine in accepting the role of the fun, single aunt is an interesting one. Well, at least Ivy thought so. When she was a teenager all she thought about was boys, she wanted to have that, yeah we're high school sweethearts, storyline so badly but unfortunately, she never got it. If anyone ever asked her out it would be a joke for their own entertainment or it was from someone she just flat out wasn't interested in.
It felt like all her friends got attention from boys and she was left in the back to rot. Then came college, she was getting the attention she wanted in high school but now for some reason, she didn't want it— call it growing up I guess. She'd roll her eyes or make up an excuse as to why she couldn't talk to someone and it made her friends look at her sideways especially when some of the finest men on campus were trying to pull her.
Now with college out of the way and a little more growing up she was entirely too busy for the bullshit anyway. Some of her friends had married off and reproduced, but she was solely focused on her career and she was fine with that. Being an eighth-grade teacher was fulfilling, especially with a class like hers. Her students were absolute clowns, there was middle school drama that they came to her with and family problems that they felt they couldn't express at home. She was their safe haven and she was happy to be.
They filled that void in her life, and she was glad to be that person to help them transition from middle school to the chaotic jungle that was high school.
She did have one favourite student, in particular, his name was Cesar Diaz, an absolute sweetheart with a hilarious group behind him. Cesar was often the last to leave school so he'd come back to her classroom to either finish homework or just hang out. Occasionally she'd put on a movie of his choice or she'd show him movies from her childhood until his father came to get him.
However, lately, he'd been staying a little longer than usual, the school closed at six and he was still there at quarter to seven. I mean Ivy didn't have anyone to go to so she wasn't in a rush but it was Friday and she did want to go home and smoke, drink and watch something unrelated to children.
Cesar sighed, you could tell he was tired himself and maybe even disappointed that he was still at school. Ivy's shoulders fell as she looked out the window, no sign of Ray coming anytime soon. "You hungry? We can order a pizza." She offered. Cesar shook his head and continued to scroll on his phone. The sudden sound of a car door slamming could be heard outside, so hard you'd think the car window would bust. She watched as a younger male with a permanent scowl on his face approached the school doors but they were locked, so she knocked on the window and shook her head hoping he'd get the message.
"Is Cesar in there?" She heard him ask, she nodded and looked over to her student. "Cesar, do you know who's outside my window?"
He looked up from his phone and quickly sat up, "It's my brother, Spooky."
Spooky? What the fuck kinda name was that?
"Alright, let's go."
Ivy gathered her things and slugged her arm over his shoulder as they walked down the hall, she caught Mr. Taylor who was the school's janitor sweeping the floor and asked him to unlock the door so they could leave. "Any plans this weekend?" She asked Cesar. "Yeah, uh, me and Monse are going on a date."
She raised her eyebrows. Monse was a girl in the class across from hers, Cesar had been talking about asking her out for weeks but was too scared to do it until she encouraged him to. Telling him that she was most likely interested in him as well, at least judging by the way she would look at him. "See," She playfully nudged. "I told you she'd say yes. Make sure you get flowers, never show up empty-handed."
Cesar let off a sheepish smile and shoved his hands in his pockets, he was excited but also nervous. They made it outside to see the same man leaning on a red car, a cherry red 1967 Chevy Impala to be more precise. It was nice and clean, you could tell the owner took pride in it-- she could damn near see her own reflection if she got close enough. He stood with his hands crossed over his chest, she couldn't tell if he was genuinely pissed or if that was just how his face rested but it was intimidating. It seemed to soften once he saw Cesar.
"I'll see you Monday, miss Ivy." He smiled looking up at her. "Have a good weekend kiddo and good luck on your date."
He nodded at her and headed over to the car, he received a hug from his older sibling and then slid into the passenger's seat. "Thanks for uh, watching him." He reached into his back pocket and pulled out a wad of cash, the gesture making her face scrunch as he counted enough and handed it to her. She pushed his hand back. "Look, I'm not a babysitter, you don't owe me anything. I don't mind staying with him."
That voice. He could've become a puddle at that soft voice, that caring tone when she said that she didn't mind. He put the money back in his pocket suddenly feeling foolish for even offering it but in his world people didn't do shit for you without looking for an IOU. A question wavered over her mind, "Where's Ray?"
Spooky dropped his head looking for an excuse on the ground. "He's um, he's working late and I just got off work so."
There was a moment of silence, the two just gazing at each other. He was handsome, with cute rose-pink lips that sat in the middle of a moustache and his goatee, a small dimple in his cheek that appeared when he flashed her a small smirk-- a clean-shaven head that would've repulsed her a bit if he didn't pull it off so well. He was quite the looker. Which wasn't surprising considering their father was fine as hell too.
Spooky liked what he was seeing, her beautiful dark brown skin, her wide nose that was accompanied by two nose piercings, his eyes fell to her plump lips that were two shades-- the top lip that was slightly bigger than the bottom was more of a medium brown while the bottom was the same shade but had a pink middle. They were glossy, and little specks of sparkles could be seen even under the street lights.
Ivy cleared her throat figuring she was lurking a bit too long and stuck out her hand. "Well, it was nice to meet you... Spooky." The smirk was very apparent in her voice even though she tried to hide it on her face. He gently took her hand and shook it, her nails gently scratching his palm as they parted. "Nice to meet you too, Miss Ivy."
She felt herself becoming warm and decided to head over to her car which was conveniently two parking spots away from his.
